Chapter 503 The Royal Guest *Selena*

The next morning, I woke up early and made my way to the kitchen, only to find that a meeting had already been called by the matron, Eden. I nced around and noticed the omegas had gathered before their schedule, their faces disying a mix of anticipation and trepidation. I didn''t know what was going on as I was away from the pack house yesterday evening and night. I spotted L and beckoned her toe over. L nced at Eden before drifting toward me. "What''s happening?" I whispered in my clipped tone while keeping my gaze on Eden.

L sighed, her face reflecting a mixture of frustration and weariness.

"The matron called us all in. The Alpha King''s sister and their mother are returning since his sister has just graduated. And I heard there''s going to be another prestigious guest arriving this evening. The matron warned usst night that we must prepare for a grand royal feast and ensure the entire pack house is spotless and weing. She made it clear that there will be consequences if we fail. Now she is repeating it as Luna Avery wants nothing but perfection."

So ir and Catherine were returning to the pack. ir was Zander''s sister, and Catherine was his mother.

"All omegas, gather around!" The matron barked, her harsh voice echoing through the room. "Listen up. We have important news. As I informed you all yesterday, the Alpha King''s sister and mother will be back in the pack after three years, and an esteemed guest will be arriving in the evening. We must prepare for a royal feast and ensure that the entire pack house is in perfect order to wee them. I don''t want a single mistake from you. Otherwise, the punishment for today''s mistake is a death sentence, and it''s Luna Avery''s order." She smirked as the joy of killing gleamed in her eyes. This woman and her Luna were crazy. Who gave them the right to dictate a death sentence? They didn''t know how to run a kingdom or a pack. However, I felt bad for Zander. But it was one of his wrong choices, and Avery again proved to be a perfect match for him. I snorted inwardly.

I could feel the atmosphere turn cold with fear as the threat in Eden''s voice sent a ripple of stress through the gathered omegas. My heart sank, thinking, what if it was not a mere threat and she was serious? How could Zander let it happen in his pack house? Was he actually so busy that he was unaware of all this happening in his pack?

Still, cleaning and preparing the entire pack house for such prestigious guests would require immense effort and meticulous attention to detail. It was impossible not to make any mistakes, no matter how much we tried. However, without wasting one more second, the omegas sprang into action. We scurried around the kitchen, grabbing brooms, mops, and cleaning supplies. The room filled with a symphony of hurried footsteps and ttering utensils as we worked tirelessly to avoid Eden''s wrath.

Time ran off so quickly as we all moved with an efficiency born out of necessity, as there was no room for mistakes or dys.

Sweat trickled down my brow as I nced at the clock. Shit! I needed to rush toplete my assigned tasks and attend to Avery.

It was almost lunchtime, and we were about to serve. Today, more food items were added to the menu as per ir and Catehrine''s choices, and we all worked very hard and diligently, standing on one foot to meet their expectations. "It''s so good to be back," ir''s excited voice reverberated through the entrance of the pack house, announcing her arrival.

She was always like this and always made her presence known to everyone through her bubbly behavior. The whole pack house became alive again after ir''s melodiousugh rang through the surroundings. Every dead wall, lifeless roof, and dull ambiance became intriguing as the Princess returned.

I had had a good rtionship with her in the past. But I didn''t know what reaction to expect from her after Zander rejected me. She was a good, dedicated, supportive sister and always proud of her brother.

"So everyone, how was your life without me?" ir giggled as she twirled in the center of the vast hall with her arms outstretched. "I hope you missed me as much as I did."

"And what is this aroma?" Closing her eyes, she inhaled deeply. "It makes my mouth water. What is cooking in the kitchen?" She said as she strode straight toward the kitchen.

I kept my head lower, hesitated, and could not look at her.

"Selena!" A surprised gasp left her mouth, and I felt her approaching me.

"Oh, my goddess! It''s a pleasant surprise to see you here," her eyes showed genuine emotion. "But I am upset because you left without any words. Though much as I am angry with you, I miss you," She admitted, pulling me into a hug.

"ir!" Zander''s mother, Catherine''s angry voice, made ir pull away from me. "How many times have I told you that you should start acting like a princess? Stop behaving recklessly."

"Mother, I am a princess, and it doesn''t matter whatever I do, I will still be a princess," ir rolled her eyes. "So what you said a minute ago doesn''t make sense."

I suppressed a smile. ir was always rebellious and liked to break the rules. Everyone ignored her careless behavior in the past when she was very young, but now she was an adult and would soon find a mate or maybe had already found one. I didn''t know. So, I understood Catherine''s worry. I just wished the Moon Goddess would bless ir with a mate as understanding and caring as she was herself.

"Shut up, ir, and follow me," Catherine scolded, and ir gave me an apologetic smile.

"I will see youter," she whispered.

"I heard you, ir," her mother yelled at her again, and ir bit her tongue.

But, of course, they were werewolves, so they could hear even a subtle whisper.

Everything at lunch was of ir''s taste. She enjoyed it and didn''t hesitate to appreciate it. The Omegas were happy to get some sweet words as a reward after their hard work to make this lunch so memorable. Zander didn''t join them for lunch because he went to his office and was going to return only in the evening to wee his royal guest.

The day passed in a blur, and we did not even get time to breathe peacefully. Soon after lunch, we had to start preparing for the royal feast as the royal guest was arriving in the evening.

The omegas worked tirelessly throughout the morning and into the afternoon, our collective efforts turning the pack house into a gleaming testament of ourmitment. Every corner was meticulously cleaned, every surface polished to perfection.

As the sun began to dip below the horizon, signaling the approach of evening, Eden inspected our work. Her stern expression became scowling as she threw a utensil on the floor to draw our attention.

"Hurry up, youzy asses! I want everything ready and this mess cleared before the party starts," she demanded brutally.

We had been working non-stop since morning, and I had to take care of Avery''s requirements for her diet also. Apart from being her personal butler, she told me that I also had to help in the kitchen and other housework because today was the big day. Everything was set on the table, and the whole pack was invited to the feast. The kitchen was working nonstop to feed every single person in the Moonglow pack.

As the sky darkened and the moon

hung high in the sky, the entire pack was gleaming with colorful lights strung up throughout the street. The front yard of the pack house was decorated and open for everyone, which provided more space for members of thergest pack of the North to gather to see the royal guest.

"Selena, the royal guest is about to arrive. We should hurry up and change clothes. We have been wearing them since morning," L suggested.

"L, you go and change. I have some work left, and I have to finish it before the guest arrives," I replied with a smile before turning my attention back to the gas stove.

After seasoning and ting the food decoratively, I went to set the royal dining table. I had done it a few times in the past, and I knew how to set it for the royal feast.

With the help of some omegas, I finally set the table perfectly. All the dishes were ced in the center. tes and crockery were lined in a defined manner.

"You all should also change clothes because the party is about to start," I suggested, smiling, and the omegas'' faces brightened. I knew they only got to the party asionally because they had to stay behind all the arrangements.

However, when I was here this time,

I could stay behind and manage the

work. So they could enjoy it a little while I looked after the

    ????

arrangements. Nevertheless, I didn''t feel the need to change. I was not here to impress anyone or have fun. I was here for a purpose.

Last night, I had been waiting for a message from my anonymous client, but again got no instructions from him. I was unsure of whether to stay or leave, as I was clueless about the situation.

After double-checking the arrangement, I picked up themb soup Avery needed ording to her schedule and made my way to her room.

"Selena, you haven''t changed," L''s voice made me turn around.

I stared at her, stunned. She looked so pretty, wearing a beautiful sea-green gown.

"My Goddess! L, you look so gorgeous," I beamed.

"Thank you," she giggled, blushing. "Where are you going?"

"I am going to deliver Luna Avery''s soup to her room," I exined.

"Give it to me. I will deliver it," she offered. "You go change into a pretty dress before our guest arrives," she insisted.

"I am fine. I want this day to end quickly. So I can go back to my room and throw myself on my bed," I sighed, turning hurriedly to go to Avery''s room and was startled, colliding with the rock.

    Fuck!

How did, all of a sudden, this rock fall in midway?

The soup spilled, and my hand went reflexively to my face, fearing that the hot soup would ssh on my face, anticipating scorching pain. But it never came because someone swung me swiftly before the soup fell on my face. Wide eyes and breathing heavily, I looked up at my savior, and two twinkling blue eyes met mine, making me freeze momentarily.

"Arabe?!" The name left those full lips, the voice casting spells.
