Chapter 413

Lemira couldn''t believe her eyes when she saw Caspian raise his hand to Evelina.

    Caspian, hitting Evelina?

She remembered how Caspian always treated Evelina with respect, always making Lemira follow Evelina around like an assistant.

Even when Lemira had a rebirth moment and ended up in the doctor''s office after a spat with Evelina at school, Caspian rushed over and, without asking any questions, med her, even going as far as to p her. Why the sudden change of heart? Lemira wasn''t pleased; she just thought Caspian had gone off the deep end even more.

Tears welled up in Evelina''s eyes, shocked that Caspian would every a hand on her.

Caspian spoke coldly, "I told you to apologize, didn''t you hear? Cut the crap!"

It was then Evelina spoke up, her voice quivering with tears, "Lemmy, it''s all my fault. I shouldn''t have stolen your ideas out of spite, nor should I have convinced ric and Asher to nder you." Hearing Evelina''s so-called apology, Lemira felt nothing stirring in her heart.

Caspian, however, looked at Lemira with a softer tone, "I watched that video too. It''s clearly Evelina''s fault, not yours."

Lemira scoffed at the absurdity, "Is that all you wanted to say?"

"Lemira, I''ve exined everything, and even had Eve apologize. You can''t keep holding a grudge, otherwise, it''ll just cause more trouble at home."

Caspian''s words seemed part plea, part threat.

Lemira raised an eyebrow, "I''ve never been holding any grudge. Why should I return to a home that treats me poorly?"

"You''re right. I''ll have a word with Asher about this, don''t worry."

After saying his piece, Caspian dismissively waved his hand, "Didn''t you have dinner ns with your ssmates? Off you go."

Lemira didn''t look back as she walked away.

Caspian''s smile cooled as he turned to Evelina, "Have I ever been unfair to you? I despise liars the most, got it?"

"I got it, I''ll never dare again."

Evelina fought back tears, now fully remembering what kind of person Caspian really was. All these years of kindness had almost made her forget his temper.

She had thought her little scheme at the partyst night would work, only to have it fall apart today.

    Caspian''s tone softened

considerably, "Go put some ice on that cheek. I''ll find you a role in the

    new movie. Here''s the scripte

    good look."

    "Thank you, Caspian."

Evelina''s eyes lit up with surprise upon seeing the script.

    a

"It''s nothing. After all, I haven''t forgotten who rallied the troops when I was cornered by enemies. It was you."

Evelina quickly lowered her gaze to hide her guilt.

In truth, it was Lemira who had called for help.

But she could never admit that now.

Caspian had never really liked her, the outsider sister, until after that incident. And she would never reveal this secret.

Everything she had now, she believed, was rightfully hers.

    ---

Stepping out of the car, Lemira finally breathed in the fresh air.

ncing back at the vehicle, her gaze hardened.

She wouldn''t let this situationst much longer. If it weren''t for worrying Caspian would trouble her ssmate Jessica, she wouldn''t have yed along with his charade.

After dinner, Lemira sent Jessica home and returned to her dorm.

Janice informed her, "Caspian''s school visit and your interview went up on Twitter."

    Lemira checked it out.

Caspian''s video title: [Let me introduce you to my sister, the ''drama queen''.]

The video had garnered Caspian a lot of sympathy, even earning him the tag of a doting brother.

Janice hesitated before adding, "The actorpeting with Caspian for the Best Actor award recently got exposed by an ex-girlfriend for domestic abuse. Caspian''s timing with this video is impable, and the content is cleverly chosen."

Lemira smirked sarcastically, "Yeah, Caspian never makes a losing deal."

This move not only exined the bruises but also discredited his rival and improved his public image.

And it even forced her topromise.
