    Alessia’s POV


    I’ve known about my father’s existence and impending death for a few weeks and I’ve made sure to


    spend all of my spare time with him. I’m scared that there’s going to be a time when I won’t be able to.


    Knocking softly on the door, I patiently wait to hear a soft e in’, before pushing the door open and


    walking into the heavily dark room.


    My eyes adjust to the darkness andnd on the figure in the bed, wrapped with thick nkets. It’s to


    keep away the cold that has been trying to sip into his bones. ording to the pack doctor, my father


    has lost all his heightened senses and is now as powerless as a mere human.


    His appearance has also taken a turn for the worse. The dark circles under his eyes have grown in size


    and the bones on his cheeks are easily seen.


    “My daughter,” he says weakly, trying to sit up on the bed but falling back down.


    I rush over to his side, sitting on the single chair beside his bed and readying myself for another round


    of ‘getting to know my father.’
