《Peace Online - India》 Peace Online global launch - I 21st Jan. 2022, Inside a private shooting range. A young man around 19 years old was aiming at a target with an IOF-9mm* in his hand. ''Bang! Bang! Bang!'' The sound of gunshots came as 3 consecutive shots were shot each hitting the target. "Phew¡" The young man released a sigh. His breathing was a little rushed because of him holding his breath during shooting. He looked at the target to calculate his points. "8 points, 8 points, 9 points¡. Total 25 points¡ " The young man could only smile bitterly as he calculated his score. It was like he had reached a bottleneck in his shooting. ''Sigh¡ It is not enough. I need to achieve at least 26 points to be confident enough in my next test¡'' With a sigh, the young man retook his shooting stance. As he was concentrating on the target, the doors of the shooting range opened and an old man walked in. Being distracted by the sound of the door opening, the young man furiously turned around ready to scold the person who just interrupted his training. But once he saw the old man, his anger disappeared and was replaced with respect as he asked, "Dada*, what happened¡?" "Aarv babu, Your father asked for you in his office.." The old man nicknamed Dada told Aarv. The old man used to be his father''s subordinate in the army. After his retirement, Aarv''s father recruited him into their house as a housekeeper but Aarv always treated the old man like his grandfather. "Did father return early this time from his work..?" Aarv felt puzzled. Generally, as an army officer, his father would stay away from home for months, only returning on special occasions. "Yes, and he looked troubled by something¡! You should hurry and go to his office."If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. Aarv felt a chill running down his spine after he learned about his father''s troubled expression. He knew that something serious must have happened. "Okay¡ I will go there right away..!" Aarv hastily put his gun inside the holster and passed the holster to dada as he ran towards his dad''s office. After some time, a knocking noise was heard outside Aarv''s father''s office. ''Knock knock knock¡'' "Come in¡" A deep voice sounded inside the room. Aarv nervously unlocked the door and walked inside his dad''s office. "Father, is there something¡?" Aarv looked at his father with respect and fear as he asked. "Hmmm..?" His father, major general Sudansh Bhosle looked at his son and raised his eyebrows. His angry stare sent a chill throughout Aarv''s body as he saluted his father again, "Cadet* Aarv Bhosle greets major general¡" "Hmmm¡ " His father nodded at him and once again started reading through his documents. Aarv could only smile bitterly as he stood in the salute position. He forgot that his father was still in his military attire. His father specifically instructed him to do a formal military greeting when he was in military attire. "Sigh¡" He could only wait patiently in his saluted position. After about half an hour, his father finished reading all the documents on the desk. After confirming that he finished everything, his father looked at him and asked, "Do you acknowledge your mistake¡?" "Sir yes sir¡!" Aarv said with a strong voice. "Hmmm¡ relax¡" Then only Aarv put his trembling hand down and relaxed. The major general felt happy about his son''s discipline. He took a document from a drawer and passed it toward Aarv. "Take a look at this." Aarv took the document from his father''s hand and looked at the first page. ''Top Secret'' were the words written on the document. "This¡?" He looked at his father with a questioning gaze. Military hierarchy restricted certain documents to be accessed by important people only. Such documents were labelled as ''Top Secret'' and were not allowed to spread among irrelevant people. If someone is caught while leaking these documents, losing their job will be the least of their worries. Looking at his son''s questioning gaze, the major general explained, "These documents were top secret a month ago¡. From tomorrow onwards, these documents will become public knowledge." Hearing that these documents will be public, Aarv released a sigh as he opened the document. The first thing he saw was a giant pigeon symbol with the words ''Peace Online'' written right below it. ''A VRMMORPG game¡?'' Aarv felt puzzled as he looked at his father for more explanation. "This is the future. The United Nations decided to end all real-world combat and take it to virtual reality. From tomorrow onwards virtual reality will become the real battlefield for various countries to fight out with one another and solve their disputes." Aarv felt shocked after he heard his father''s explanation. He knew that in recent years some countries started to put pressure on their neighbouring countries. By taking all the conflict inside the virtual world the United Nations was saving people from the upcoming wars. "Not only that but the game will be played in the Iron age. Where there are only cold weapons available to fight with one another." The more major generals explained, the happier he got. Aarv was able to see mad enthusiasm in his father''s eyes. His father was a war fanatic. With this game, Aarv could imagine his father entering the battlefield once again with a massive army before him. "This¡ but wouldn''t this just give all the superpowers massive advantage?" Be it in terms of technology or research, all the superpowers were much more advanced than the rest of the countries of the world. Aarv feared that these countries would take advantage of the game to toy with other countries. "There is no advantage for anyone inside peace online. Every country will start from the iron age and proceed from there. There is also a twist, where people can nurture supernatural powers inside the game." Major general Sudansh''s eyes flashed with a strange light as he said the last sentence. But he soon changed the topic. "Remember your mission is to build your territory inside the game and obtain as many hidden pieces as possible. Our whole family''s future depends on our progress in this game." Aarv could see his father''s hopeful expression. He could only say, "We will father, don''t worry." Major general looked at his son and nodded while saying, "Remember to read the document thoroughly. Our, as well as Our country''s future, depends on the game." "Yes sir¡!" Aarv saluted his father before leaving the office. He was curious about this new game which supposedly can change the world. Peace Online Global Launch - II As Aarv was returning to his room he saw 4 to 5 people coming in and out of his room. Suspiciously, he reached his room to look at what they were doing. One of the servants noticed his presence and saluted him, "Good afternoon young master." Aarv nodded at him while asking, "What is happening?" Aarv could see multiple parts lying around his room and a few people assembling them on the floor. "Master told us to install this new gaming cabin inside your room for you to play." The servant replied with a little confusion. As an old servant, he knew that Aarv''s father forbade him from playing video games when he was younger but now not only did he permit Aarv to play games but also personally ordered a game cabin for him. Looking at the servant''s confusing gaze, Aarv chuckled and half-jokingly said, "You don''t need to look confused. Soon enough you might also be able to play the game." He knew that sooner or later it would become normal for everyone to play this Peace online game. --- After about half an hour the assembling team assembled the whole gaming cabin inside the room and taught Aarva about everything he needed to know about the cabin. One of the assembly members showed Aarva a green coloured pouch with liquid inside of it. "The liquid inside is called nutritional fluid. With one pouch you can play the game for 5 days without coming out of the gaming cabin. Be careful and check the liquid every time you log into the game because it might affect your health." The Assembly members specifically warned Aarv to check the nutritional fluid levels every time he played to avoid any complications. Aarv nodded seriously and noted in his head. After every little detail had been taken care of, the Assembly team members left the room. Aarv looked at the gaming cabin which was glowing. ''Let''s try it out¡'' Like a kid who got a new toy, he rushed towards the cabin and activated it. After that, according to instructions, Aarv lay inside the cabin and closed his eyes. The door of the cabin closed automatically as a sweet voice came from the cabin, [ Initiating Peace online¡.] { Initiation Failed¡} The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. [ Player please wait for peace online to officially release before initiating¡ ] [ Estimated waiting time = 15:42:00 ] Aarv dejectedly came out of the gaming cabin. He forgot that peace online was launching tomorrow and before that he was not allowed in the game. "Sigh¡" Aarv could only sigh with unhappiness as he took out the document his father gave him and started reading the document. The documents contained detailed information about the game. There were 2 different modes to choose from inside peace online. The first one was called Lord game mode where players choose to become lords of their territory. Lord game mode players start as chief of the village up to the king of a nation. This was the best game mode for players to show their abilities but there was a limit to how many lord players a country has. The number of lord players was dependent on the population of their country. As the second-most populous country in the world, India was given 152 lord game mode player spots. To get officially recognized as a Lord, players were given a compulsory task to complete a historical scenario as a quest. These historical quests were a recreation of a certain historical event in India which had major impacts on the lives of people in India. If the player was unable to complete the historical quest, he/she will be permanently banned from the lord game mode and will have to compulsorily choose adventure game mode. This allowed the government to choose the best of the best players as lord players and once all the spots were given out, new players could only choose the second mode which was adventure game mode. In adventure game mode, Players were able to increase their strength as they level up and each level up gave them increased power both physically and spiritually. Like any other game, there were different classes based on the profession of the players such as swordsmen, archers, artists, craftsmen etc. choosing classes gave a huge advantage to players over those who hadn''t chosen the classes. For any lord game mode player, it was essential to have good ties with adventure game mode players because of their advantage in choosing different classes. The second piece of information Aarv felt was important was the NPC cities. These NPC cities were pre-established cities inside the game which were major hubs for adventure game mode players to choose different quests to get paid by the NPC (non-player characters.) in the city. For the lord game mode players, these NPC cities were of strategic significance. Not only do the NPC cities act as major trading hubs but also as a major recruitment centres for players and lords to interact with each other. Aarv knew the importance of such NPC cities. He knew that in earlier stages, NPC cities would play a significant role in territory building. There were 8 major NPC cities established in India. They were Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Surat. Aarv noted these cities and turned on the map of India. He was shocked to notice that 90% of the NPC cities were in southern India. Although the northern part of India was a major agricultural hub, due to its flat terrain, it was not easy to defend from attackers coming from the northwest side of the country and for that reason alone, north India got attacked multiple times throughout history. Aarv could imagine the players who choose north Indian territory having a really tough time defending their territories. This topic also aroused an important question in Aarv''s mind. "Where should I place my territory..?" Choosing the appropriate location for establishing territory was also an important task. Aarv opened the map of India. First, he checked all the resources such as mines and natural barriers inside the territory of India. In terms of mines, the state of Odisha was the best option as it had the most mineral reserves than any other state in India. But the main problem was that the state of Odisha was very poor because of the difficult terrain in the state of Odisha. It also faced several natural disasters from time to time. After thinking for a while, Aarv removed the state of Odisha from his possible territory list. He also removed several states in northern as well as northeastern states because of lack of protection. ''Let''s just choose our state of Maharashtra.'' After thinking for a while, Aarv chose to settle his future territory in the state of Maharashtra mainly because of the natural barriers the state had. Firstly, it had Satpuda (in Hindi: Satpura) mountain range to the north and Sahyadri mountain range to the west of the state. It also had the Deccan plateau at the south of the city-state. This was one of the best locations for establishing a territory. After making the decision, Aarv continued reading the document. The third piece of information Aarv thought important was the currency system. Peace online used ancient coins named peace coins as currency. These coins were mainly made out of bronze, silver and gold. The evaluation for these coins was 0.001%. This means that 1 gold coin was equivalent to 1,000 silver coins and 1 silver coin was equivalent to 1,000 bronze coins. The fourth piece of information was the time manipulation inside the game. In the normal game, the time flow inside the game was similar to the real world but reversed. But, for historical quests, this time flow will change according to the duration of the quest. ''This is just like any MMORPG game. Except this game has all the organisations in the world behind it.'' Aarv thought that it was no different from any other kingdom building game in history. Until his eyes landed on the last page of the document. The title for that page was very simple. "Supernatural abilities unlock protocol¡!" After reading the heading, Aarv remembered that his father did tell him about supernatural abilities. At first, he thought that it was just a joke, but after reading the last page of the document he understood the importance. The document stated that, after the first player reached level 100, the new protocol will apply to the game. This protocol will enable the usage of magical abilities as well as legacies of ancient sages. After reading the last page, Aarv felt that this new game will be really fun. Peace online not only had a good gaming structure, but it also had a virtual reality full immersion interface. Just as he was lost in his thoughts, his phone suddenly rang¡. Ring¡. Ring¡. Peace Online Global Launch - III Ring¡. Ring¡. Aarv looked at the number and saw that it was from his class monitor. He let the phone ring for a while and then picked the phone, "Hello¡!" "Heyyy Aarv, did you hear the news..? The United Nations have decided to end all the real-world conflicts and take them into virtual reality." On the other side of the phone came a sweet female voice. The voice belonged to Prahi Suryavanshi, Aarv''s childhood friend. She belonged to the famous Suryavanshi family in India. "Ahh yes¡ I just heard it from my father¡ How fascinating¡ " Aarv absent-mindedly replied to her while lost in his own thoughts. "Right..? My grandfather bought me the latest virtual reality cabin. What about you..?" "Me too, my father also bought me the latest gaming cabin." While chatting, Aarv understood that the news of peace online had already been circulated in the elite circle of the country. "Which game mode are you choosing Prahi¡?" Aarv curiously asked Prahi. He knew that the Suryawanshi family probably had access to similar information about the game. He also wanted to know which path his childhood friend would take. This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. "I''m picking the Adventure game mode." Prahi''s reply shocked Aarv. He immediately retorted, "Why, What happened..?" Prahi choosing adventure game mode shocked Aarv. In terms of business or logistic knowledge, Prahi was one of the best people that Aarv knew. "Well, Every major family was only given one lord game mode spot. So, my father passed it to my older brother¡" There was a hidden sadness in her voice. But, she quickly regained her composure and asked Aarv, "You will pick the lord game mode. Shall I start calling you Lord Aarv from now on¡?" Aarv felt bitter inside after hearing Prahi''s sarcastic remarks. He knew that She just wanted to prove to her family that she can do better than her siblings. Aarv could only sigh as he made an offer to Prahi, "Well, why don''t you join this lord''s territory then¡ I won''t restrict your freedom¡" After hearing Aarv''s offer, there was silence on the other side of the phone. Aarv waited for the reply from Prahi. "Okay¡ I agree¡" Prahi took a deep breath and replied to Aarv. After replying, she felt a huge relief as some kind of burden had been lifted off her shoulders. Aarv also felt a huge relief after hearing Prahi''s replay. "That''s great, welcome on board milady." "Hahahaha¡" With both sides laughing, both of them started conversing about their daily life¡ --- That night, The whole world shook as the United Nations announced a new Virtual Reality game called Peace Online. In their release ceremony, the president said that, "Due to increasing tension between world countries, we have developed a virtual game called Peace Online. All the future conflicts will be solved virtually through peace online." After the announcement, all 180 sovereign states signed the document for peace online and accepted terms to cease all military activities for 5 years. They also agreed to resolve all the conflicts through peace online after the 5 year period was up. Aarv looked at the news on his computer with shining eyes. ''This is a much bigger event than I previously thought¡'' As soon as the news was released, It became a hot topic among the people on earth. Everybody was talking about it. Soon, the official documents regarding Peace Online were also released. The document contained information about currency, NPC cities and two major game modes. Information regarding supernatural abilities was hidden and circulated among the important people in the country. Later that night, all the major corporations announced their entry into the peace online. They provided free gaming devices and reasonable salaries to people to play online games. Many major gaming studios also announced mass recruiting campaigns all across the country. That night was restless for all people in the world. Aarv too was awake the whole night reading all the major historical events that happened in India. He knew that to become a lord game mode player he needed to clear a historical quest. From what Aarv had read, Historical Quests were a recreation of major historical events that happened in India. It consists of major battles that changed dynasties, Mutinies and famines throughout the history of India. The player needs to change the history in the historical quest to clear the historical quest. After reading all the major historical documents, Aarv stretched his body and looked at the clock on the wall. It was already 4:00 am in the morning, so Aarv retired for the day. Entering the first historical quest The next day, Aarv woke early in the morning. After doing routine work, He hurriedly opened the gaming cabin and entered the virtual reality world. As he closed the door of his gaming cabin, a sweet voice sounded in Aarv''s ears. [ Initializing Peace Online¡] [ Initialization complete¡ Entering the Peace online¡ ] Aarv watched nervously as the scenery in front of him went from pitch black to rainbow coloured and before Aarv could understand, he was standing in front of an ancient-looking door. As he reached the ancient-looking door, Aarv got a message from the system. [ Welcome player Aarv Bhosle to peace online¡ ] [ Player, choose your prefered game mode¡] [ You can choose between Lord mode and normal mode¡] "Choose the Lord mode¡" Aarv replied without hesitation. The blood of Marathas (The proud Indian warrior tribe.) ran through his body. If he could become a lord in the game, his family would definitely become proud of him. [ Confirm you have selected Lord mode. You can only select Lord mode once! ] [ Confirm Yes/No. ] "Confirm Yes." Ding¡ [ You have chosen the Lord mode. You will have to complete one Historical Quest to become an official lord in the game. ] [ Choosing a random Historical Quest¡ ] Ding¡ [ Quest selection complete¡ Quest selected = Fort of Dharur.]This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. As soon as the Quest selection was complete, the door in front of Aarv opened. He tried to peek inside but could only see a screen of light inside the door. Helplessly, he took a deep breath and entered through the door. When Aarv crossed the door, the scenery in front of him changed completely. He was standing inside an ancient-looking stone building. Aarv turned back to see where he came from but what he saw shocked him. There was no ancient looking door behind him but just a normal bedroom in a messed upstate. "What¡?" Aarv felt shocked at the realistic appearance of the game. While he was looking around the building, he heard a surprised voice, "Ahh¡ killedar ( castellan ) you are out of your room¡?" An old man looked at Aarv with surprise and called him out. He threw whatever he was doing before and ran towards Aarv and bowed respectfully. "Killedar, the Mughal forces have proceeded from Siu-gaon towards Bijapur (Now Vijapur) and Bhonsla (Now Basavanna)¡" Aarv could see deep worry within the old man''s eyes. Aarv remained calm and told the old man, "Let''s talk inside¡" And walked towards his office. The old man bowed and followed closely behind. After reaching his office Aarv finally asked the old man, "Tell me the enemy''s every movement in detail¡ do not miss a single thing¡" The old man was first confused but still told everything about the enemy forces. Aarv finally knew what was going on. He was transported to the war of 1630-31 to kill the rebel forces of Khan Jahan, Mughal emperor Shah Jahan sent his entire army towards the south of the empire. The imperial army of Mughals conquered area after area of, Maharashtra province (Deccan plateau) and Telangana province. They were finally able to kill Khan Jahan with his trusted friend Darya Khan in central parts of India in January of 1631. It was one of the longest pursuits of rebel forces in Indian history lasting from October of 1629 to January 1631. But, that was not what the rebel war of 1630-31 was known for. It was known for the massive drought of 1631-32 where for 2 years straight there was no rain. 3 crop seasons failed to produce anything bringing massive famine in the area of surat and the Deccan plateau. One of the historians recorded the famine as the ''Deccan famine''. He describes, "Life was offered for a loaf but none would buy; rank was to be sold for a cake, but none cared for it; the ever-bounteous hand was now stretched out to beg for food, and the feet which had always trodden the way of contentment walked about only in search of sustenance. For a long time dog''s flesh was sold for goat''s flesh, and the pounded bones of the dead were mixed with flour and sold." (source: Maharashtra State Gazetteer chapter 9, page 288 ) This explains the dire situation of common people perfectly. At that time, 7.4 million deaths were recorded (some say that the number was in the 10s of millions.) because of intense famine. But what did the army of both Mughals and the rebel armies do? They plundered villages nearby, killing able-bodied men and raping women. All just to provide rations for their massive army. This plundering made the already dire state of the two provinces even worse. Despite the dire situation, the two forces did not stop their campaign. Even after the rebel forces had been subsidized, the Mughal army continued to attack provinces nearby and only stopped after Fateh khan, the prime minister of nizam shahi (also called the sultanate of Ahmednagar) offered his submission in 1633. Aarv could only sigh at the historic events that happened during the era. He also knew the strategic importance of the fort of dharur. The dharur fort was located at the south of bir (Now Beed) which reigned over the whole Beed province. The dharur fort also gave access to the Deccan plateau in the south and the fort of Paranda (the old capital of Nizam Shahi) in the west. After the fall of the Dharur fort, it served as a major hub for army supplies for future campaigns of the Mughal army. The fall of Dharur made the local forces of nizam shahi (Sultanate of Ahmednagar) and Adil Shahi (Sultanate of Bijapur) crumble and fail one by one. "We must defend Fort of Dharur at all costs." Aarv made a resolute decision to defend the fort of Dharur at all costs. He also knew that at that time, the nizam shah had ordered Vithoji Raje Bhosle to protect this fort. Seeing that he was playing the same role as his ancestors, Aarv became really emotional. Ding¡ After piecing together all the information recorded in the history books, just as Aarv wanted to ask more about the present situation, a new system prompt appeared in front of Aarv''s eyes. First Historical Quest Ding¡ After piecing together all the information recorded in the history books, just as Aarv wanted to ask more about the present situation, a new system prompt appeared in front of Aarv''s eyes. [ Historical Quest: Fort of Dharur] Quest description: Mughal forces have invaded Beed and are 20 kos (roughly 60 km) away from the fort of Dharur. Make war preparations and defend the fort of Dharur as long as possible. Your individual performance will determine the rewards you will get at the end of the quest. Quest completion ranks: Rank D: defend fort of Dharur for 1 month. Rank C: defend fort of Dharur for 2 months. Rank B: defend fort of Dharur for 3 months. Rank A: defend fort of Dharur for 5 months. Rank S: defend the fort of Dharur and make the Mughal army retreat from the Beed district. Rewards: Unknown [ player must wait for the quest to be completed.] [ Mission failure: failure will result in the player being permanently banned from lord game mode ] Aarv looked at the quest window with a thoughtful gaze. He has to defend the fort of Dharur for at least 1 month to pass the historical quest. "It is manageable¡" Aarv had the confidence to defend the fort of Dharur for 1 month without any problem because not only did he have knowledge of the future events, but he also had knowledge of modern military strategies. "Sagarrao, Tell khajindar (treasurer) to report here immediately. Also, ask for all the lohars (blacksmiths) present inside the fort to visit me personally." "Yes my lord¡" Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon. The old man named Sagar Rao left the killedaar''s office. After about half an hour, Sagarrao came back again with khajindar. "My lord¡" Both of them bowed respectfully at Aarv. Aarv looked at both of them and nodded. "The food stored inside the fort¡" While talking, Aarv looked meaningfully at the treasurer. "How many days will the food storage last?" To the question, the treasurer replied proudly, "According to my calculations, It can last us for a year and half my lord¡" Aarv expected no less. He knew that during olden times, the fort of dharur was a commercial hub for the whole Beed district. People from all over the Deccan plateau came to the fort of Dharur for commercial reasons. So aarv asked his second question. "And if we include the people inside the dharur village..? How many days can the supply last..?" "If we include 60,000 people in the village, the supply lasts us at most 5 months. With a little rationing, we might be able to stretch it to 6 months." The treasurer replied. After getting his answer, aarv looked in the distance lost in his thoughts. He knew that in defending Dharur fort, the village of Dharur located just 1km away was the key. Because, all the families of soldiers, as well as the main chamber of commerce, were located inside the Dharur village. During the battle at Dharur, the Mughal commander led his army towards Dharur village instead of Dharur fort. He killed all the families of soldiers inside the village disheartening the soldiers protecting the fort. Because of low morale, the fort of Dharur fell in just 7 days. Marhamat Khan made his way in with a party of men and scaled the walls of the fort from the riverside allowing Mughal soldiers to breach the fort on 17th Jan 1631. After pondering for some time, Aarv got back to his senses and ordered Sagar Rao, "Order all the pethas (Bazzar) to move inside the fort. Also, order all the villagers to move inside the fort. Use any means possible. Remember, you only have 3 days. Also, have the people surrender all of their rations and food supplies. Treasurer, you will be accountable for the tasks." "Yes my lord.." Both men bowed in unison accepting their orders. The treasurer left the office but saguaro stayed looking a little doubtful. Looking at the doubtful look of the old man, Aarv said, "You can ask your doubts¡" Sagarrao looked at Aarv a little frightfully but still asked in a low voice, "Lord, if there are enemy soldiers mixed with the civilians¡" He left his sentence incomplete. Aarv gave a surprised look towards his helper. He knew that disguising soldiers as civilians and then breaching forts from inside was a great tactic in the art of war. "I have thought of such a possibility, you don''t have to worry." Although infiltrating forts was an easy task, this strategy only worked in medieval times. With an observant eye, one could easily determine a seasoned soldier from a normal civilian. Their posture, their way of walking and talking even a seasoned spy might get caught if he was not careful of such things. Sagararo bowed after hearing Aarv''s reply. This time he felt that his lord was somewhat different from the past but he didn''t say it out loud. "Also¡ where are the blacksmiths I asked for¡?" Aarv asked the old man to which he replied, "They are waiting outside for your orders my lord¡" Aarv nodded, "Let''s go" and walked out of his office. There were a total of 50 people waiting outside of the main building. As soon as they saw Aarv they bowed deeply and said in unison, "Killedar¡" Aarv nodded and told them to stand up. Then he looked towards Sagar Rao, "Sagar Rao, bring me paper and ink¡" After acknowledging his order, Sagar Rao left the scene. Within 5 minutes, paper and ink were placed in front of Aarv. he took the paper and ink and drew something similar to a modern-day caltrop on the paper. He adjusted its shape to make it easier for medieval blacksmiths to make the caltrops. He then handed the four-pronged caltrop design to the blacksmiths. "Make as many of them as possible. We need those things to win our war." "As your wish my Lord." One of the old blacksmiths replied to Aarv while taking the design from Aarv. All the blacksmiths left with the old man while discussing the design of the caltrop. First Historical Quest-II After watching them leave, Aarv turned back his attention to the structure of the fort. At that time, the fort of Dharur was one of the most difficult forts to attack because of its natural barriers. The fort was built on a ridge of a mountain. It had a deep valley on 3 sides of the fort and only one side was connected to the land. "Let''s move around the fort¡" Aarv told Sagar Rao as they both went to tour the fort. They first went to see the mountain ridges around the fort, then they inspected the water management system of the fort which took the freshwater from the lake inside the fort and distributed it to different parts. The underground well was created for storing the oil and ghee, the hammam khana (swimming pool) the ambaari where all the elephants were tied, and the U shaped entrance of the fort. Aarv was able to see the wealth of India in medieval times. Then they went to inspect various towers (Buruj) inside the fort. The coin making tower, the weapon making a tower, they saw everything and only returned to the administrative building at night. Before leaving, aarv reminded Sagar Rao, " Sagar Rao, inspect all the civilians. Make sure to confiscate any weapon or tools that can harm us. Also, make sure that no one except for our trusted soldiers will guard our granaries and lakes. Those who disobey, kill without mercy." Aarv''s eyes flashed with deep killing intent as he said the last sentence leaving SagarRao shaking with fear. "Everything will be according to your orders my Lord." After hearing the affirmative reply, Aarv retired for the day. After entering his bedroom, Aarv tried to log out of the game, but his attempt was unsuccessful. He got a warning message from the system. [ Warning: Player must clear his assigned historical quest before logging out of the game.] Aarv could only sigh and lay on the bed, falling asleep immediately. --- The next day, no particularly important event happened except for some massive tents that were built to accommodate common people. Aarv especially instructed the treasurer to build the tents in the middle of the fort to prevent any cannon shells or mortar shells from hitting the common people. Due to the fear of the Mughal army, the migration of common people went smoothly. After hearing the treasurer''s report, aarv gave him a satisfied nod. He then took out a paper and passed it towards Sagar Rao and said,Stolen story; please report. "Sagar Rao, take this training method and start training the soldiers. You can also recruit soldiers from the common people stationed inside the fort. Announce to the common people that only soldiers and their families will get rice from tomorrow onwards. Other people will only get to eat porridge." Although there was enough food for everyone to last at least for 6 months, Aarv wanted to start preserving food early on to avoid unnecessary complications. Even though with porridge normal people will grumble and make complaints, at least it was better than them dying. "As your wish my lord." Sagarrao took the paper and left aarv''s office leaving Aarv with a lot of memorials to deal with. All of them talked about the Mughal army plundering food and rations in their territory. Looking at those memorials, Aarv could only write one line in reply to all those memorials. ''Stay low, we will have our revenge.'' And sent the letters to all the noble territories that were attacked by Mughal as well as rebel armies. On the same night, Aarv asked Sagar Rao to bring the territorial map of the Beed district to his office. He wanted to know the route of the Mughal army, especially the supply route. He also called for important officers in his office for a meeting. The meeting lasted the whole night. After ending the meeting, 10 carrier pigeons left Dharur fort towards surrounding territories. All the letters had the same title to them. "We will bury the Mughal forces inside the Deccan plateau. " After ending the meeting, all the officials inside the fort left with smiling expressions. --- The next day, The old blacksmith came into aarv''s office telling him that the production of 100,000 caltrops have been completed. Aarv gave him a satisfied node before telling him to start making arrows and armours for the soldiers. That night, some figures in black left the fort''s main entrance while spreading in different directions, sprinkling caltrops along the way. Aarv gave them only one instruction, "Sprinkle within the cannon range. On all sides of the fort." Caltrops, although ancient weapons, were useful against every medieval army type. Be it horses, elephants or foot soldiers, caltrops were extremely useful. Most importantly they had a specific purpose in history. ''To obstruct the enemy army path and route enemy troops according to your will.'' Aarv looked at the black men sprinkling caltrops with a satisfied grin. ''Now all the chess pieces have been laid out. it''s time to wait for enemies to show up.'' Aarv looked towards the pass of Anjan-Dudh. "Come¡ let me see what you are capable of Azam Khan¡" --- The next day, a scout brought in the message that the Mughal army had ascended the pass of Anjan-Dudh and was camping 3 kos (roughly 9 Km at that time) away from the Dharur fort. ''Finally, you are here¡'' Aarv felt his blood boiling. This is the life that he wanted in his dreams and now he was living this life. He gave orders to officers, "Make an announcement in the fort. Without permission, nobody is allowed to move freely inside the fort. If found, they will be killed without mercy." After further discussion, All the officials left Aarv''s office. Aarv then turned his attention towards Sagar Rao and said, "Select 60 of the best soldiers who are loyal to the fort. They will be key in our victory against the Mughal army." Sagarrao bowed to Aarv and made affirmation of the order. --- Inside the camp of the Mughal army, the commanding general Azam Khan was sitting in his camp with his trusted military officials. At that time, one of the officers reported, "The rebel forces have retreated back towards Daulatabad. Should we go back and attack Ahmednagar?" After hearing the report, all the military officers looked at each other. They came to Dharur to intercept the fleeing rebel forces but the enemy turned around and directly entered Ahmednagar district. Now the Mughal army had two options left for them, the first one to turn around and attack Ahamadnagar and the second one to attack down south towards the Dharur district. Azam Khan who had always been keeping quiet chose to speak this time, "We will not go back towards the Ahmednagar district, instead we will attack and capture the fort of Dharur." First Historical Quest - III Azam Khan who had always been keeping quiet chose to speak this time, "We will not go back towards the Ahmednagar district, instead we will attack and capture the fort of Dharur." He knew that the road to Ahmednagar district was already looted by the rebel forces. If he went towards the district, the lack of provisions would make the expedition even more difficult. He then looked towards his trusted official Multafit Khan and said, "Take 5,000 men and attack the pethas (weekly Bazaar) of Dharur. Make it quick." "As your wish my lord." Miltafit Khan bowed and left the commander''s tent. The next day, Miltafit Khan led 5,000 Mughal troops and attacked Dharur Gaon. As he was approaching the town, He felt that something was not right. ''The town is too quiet¡'' Multakit Khan looked at the Dharur Gaon in front of him suspiciously. He sent a party of 50 men to scout the area of the town. He did not dare to enter the town with his army for fear of ambush. After a while, when the team returned from their scouting, they reported directly to Multakit Khan that the whole town along with all of its pethas was empty. ''As expected, all of the civilians ran away¡'' He then ordered his messenger to send a report to Azam Khan. "Send an emergency report to the commander, the town and all the pethas are empty. Not even a single grain of rice was found." "As your wish my lord." The messenger hurriedly left towards the main army camp. Inside the main army camp, Azam Khan looked at the report from Multakit Khan while deep in thought. 50,000-60,000 people migrated somewhere and he or his scouts did not even receive a single message. ''Unless They were able to migrate all the people in the Dharur Gaon in a short time. ''Support the creativity of authors by visiting Royal Road for this novel and more. While deep in thought, Azam Khan looked towards the fort of Dharur. "Interesting enemy we have here¡" He then turned towards the army commanders and said, "Let us go and meet our friend inside the fort." At that time 5 horses left from the main Mughal camp towards the fort of Dharur. As they got near the fort, they got a warning from the petrol army stationed on the walls of Dharur fort. "The fort has been closed and no one is allowed entry inside the fort. Return back immediately. " Towards the patrolling guard''s harsh words, one of the Mughal officers took his sword out and replied, "How audacious, do you know who you''re talking to? Bring the killedar of the fort to meet our commander Azam Khan immediately." The patrolling guard on the city walls was scared when he heard that it was Mughal army commander Azam Khan. He left the walls to report to his superiors quickly. Soon, the news reached Aarv''s ears. He took his officials towards the city gate to have a chat with Azam Khan. After reaching the fort wall, Aarv looked towards the man dressed in green with golden armour. "What a powerful aura¡" Aarv felt suffocated by the aura of Azam Khan, the ''Ace Vazir'' (Title. Similar to the prime minister) of the Mughal empire. Still, he kept his head cool and stood upright. At the same time, Azam Khan also looked toward Aarv. "What a young killedar¡" Azam Khan felt shocked when he saw Aarv who looked no older than 20. Especially in Aarv''s eyes, he could see a burning desire to fight in his eyes. Both commanders looked at each other and nodded. Azam Khan then spoke to Aarv, "Young killedar of Dharur, If you surrender to the Mughal empire, we will spare your life and bestow you the title of Khan (literal meaning change his religion)" Aarv looked at Azam Khan and replied proudly, "Bestow me the title of Khan¡? HAHAHAHA¡" "LISTEN AZAM KHAN¡! Even if Shah Jahan himself comes here to bestow me the title of Khan I will spit on it. Listen carefully, Until my last breath Dharur fort will never surrender." All the soldiers present on the walls of dharur fort along with the officials felt their blood boiling as they cheered, "Yeahhh¡ Dharur fort will not surrender. Mughals go back¡" "Mughals go back, Mughals go back, Mughals go back" Hearing the insulting words of Aarv and the loud cheers from the crowd, Azam Khan felt humiliated. His face turned purple with anger as he hollowed loudly, "How audacious, Not only Dharur fort will fall, I will personally slaughter every single citizen of Dharur." After saying the last sentence, Azam Khan left with his officials to the Mughal army camp. Aarv looked at the retreating Mughal officers with a satisfying expression. He knew that Mughal had helped him boost the morale of the whole dharur army. He turned towards Sagar Rao and ordered, "Distribute sugar among the civilians. Tell them the whole story. Assure them that we will not abandon them." "Yes my lord¡" Sagar Rao with a proud expression on his face left to execute his orders. That night, while the Mughal army was preparing for war, there was a festive atmosphere inside the fort of Dharur. Civilians sang all night to express their gratitude. This atmosphere also helped soldiers of the Dharur fort to feel more at ease while standing on the walls of the fort. ''This is what we are defending the fort for¡'' Some soldiers looked toward the civilians celebrating with teary eyes. A sense of duty arose within the whole army of Dharur that night. --- The next day Azam Khan sent a 5,000 strong vanguard army toward Dharur fort. Their main objective was to test the waters. But, as soon as the vanguard force reached within the firing range of the cannons inside the dharur fort, the horses at the front wailed tragically as they fell down. ''What is happening¡'' While Mughals were still confused, the next line of horses fell in a similar fashion. The whole vanguard formation of Mughals became very chaotic. Seeing the formation in chaos, the Mughal commander ordered them to retreat. But before the army had a chance to organize their retreat, the cannons on the walls of Dharur fort thundered. Boom¡ Boom¡ Boom¡ Cannon shell after cannon shells fell on the soldiers of the Mughal army making them helpless. Only a third of the vanguard army returned after the initial confrontation between Mughal forces and dharur forces. Seeing the retreating Mughal army, cheers broke into the fort of Dharur. This was the first time soldiers experienced a one-sided fight with the Mughal forces. First Historical Quest -IV Seeing the retreating Mughal army, cheers broke into the fort of Dharur. This was the first time soldiers experienced a one-sided fight with the Mughal forces. Aarv looked at the cheering army from the Shah Buruj (The tallest tower on Dharur fort)and felt very accomplished. --- While the forces inside the Dharur fort cheered, the same could not be said for the Mughal forces. In only a single exchange they lost over 1,500 men and not a single one fell from the enemy forces. Azam Khan was fuming when he heard the report. The report contained a strange spike-like object enemy used to counter the Mughal cavalry. Azam Khan held the four-pronged object in his hand with a curious expression. He could see the usefulness of the caltrops in the battles. ''What a sharp mind¡'' Azam Khan looked towards the fort of Dharur with a sceptical expression. He then turned his attention towards his vanguard commander and ordered, "Give him 20 lashes¡" The soldiers bowed before taking the vanguard commander to receive his punishment. The same night, heated discussions were happening inside the Mughal army camp on how to counter the caltrops. Every commander came with his own ideas while Azam Khan listened carefully. After the whole night passed, they finally came to a solution on how to counter these Caltrops. --- The next day, All the soldiers inside Dharur fort energetically stood on the fort walls ready to confront enemy soldiers. But when the enemy army arrived, the whole army stood outside the range of caltrops. Noon passed, still, the enemy army remained motionless making the soldiers waiting on the walls uneasy. At night, the Mughal army retreated as per instructions. The same thing happened on the second day, then on the third, fourth and fifth. On the sixth day, As usual, the enemy army surrounded the Dharur fort while staying out of cannon range. But this time some people came forward into the cannon range and started picking the caltrops by hand. When the soldiers on the fort looked closely, They were able to tell that these people were civilians from neighbouring districts. They send an emergency report towards the Shah tower while asking for instructions. If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. On the Shah tower, Aarv looked at the civilians picking up the caltrops by hand with a sigh. In the battle between the two forces, civilians were the ones suffering the most pain. Be it plundering their resources, killing able-bodied men, raping women and forcefully making them change their religion, the common people of India suffered most during the medieval times in the history of India. Sagarrao looked toward Aarv ready to receive the next order, but Aarv''s next order made Sagar Rao really shocked. He ordered, "Let them pick the caltrops, they are only placed to delay the enemy forces. Instead, Bring the common people inside the fort here and let them personally watch how the Mughal army is torturing common people¡" Sagarrao took his orders and left the shah tower. An hour later, A lot of common people gathered at the base of Shah tower. Aarv let them inside the Shah tower and let them watch the state of common people under the Mughal army. All the common people who watched from the shah tower felt really angry toward the Mughal army. That night Aarv ordered Sagar Rao to make a second announcement to recruit soldiers. This time he allowed both men and women to join the army. This time, people volunteered to join the fort army and the recruiting numbers reached as high as 10,000. Sagarrao was amazed by the passionate look on the people''s faces. Especially the women, who passionately joined the nursing house to treat the soldiers. --- Time flowed quickly and soon three months passed. Every day, civilians captured by the Mughal army worked hard for 3 months and finally cleared all the caltrops laid out by the Dharur fort. On the next day, the Mughal army finally laid siege on the fort walls using ladders. During the siege, the Dharur army under Aarv fought bravely. They used boiling oil, kerosene bombs, rocks as well as wooden logs to destroy ladders and force enemy soldiers down. Cannons under the Mughal army constantly roared as they bombarded cannonball after cannonballs towards fortress walls but the fort walls stood strong. The exterior of the fort wall was covered with iron casting which acted like armour to the walls. Even after bombarding the fort with cannon shells the entire day, there was no visible damage to the fort wall. At night, A meeting was held inside the Mughal camp. In the meeting, one of the commander in charge of Cannons and motors reported to Azam khan, "The fort walls are too sturdy, we do not have the firepower to destroy the fort walls. We need to think of other ways to scale the fort." Azam Khan just nodded at him. Although it was a problem, there was a much bigger problem he had to solve. The problem of military rations! Because the army plundered a lot of resources and food from the nearby regions, there was no reason for them to conserve the rations. But because of the drought, these rations were depleting rapidly. Azam khan knew that in the present situation, there was only a month of rations left for the Mughal army. If they fail to take the fort of Dharur within a month, everything will be lost. This was the first time Azam Khan became desperate. He ordered his officials, "Let''s intensify our siege efforts. We need to take the fort of Dharur down within a month." All the officials then talked about the strategy and left late at night. --- The next day, The Mughal army intensified their siege efforts. Their ferocity was soon noticed by Aarv and the officials inside the fort. ''Finally, it is starting¡'' Aarv smiled as he looked towards the Mughal camp. He then asked his scribe to write a letter to both Ahamadnagar and Bijapur sultanate. There was only one sentence written on both of the letters "Start the operation" In the afternoon he ordered Sagar Rao to bring the 50 men selected earlier for a mission. In 15 minutes these men stood in front of Aarv. "Killedar¡" They bowed in unison. Aarv nodded at them and started recounting his plans of action. "... This might be the most dangerous mission of your life. You can choose not to participate in the mission." After finishing his last sentence, Aarv waited for the soldiers'' answers. "This¡" At first, the soldiers were surprised by Their commander''s last sentence. It was the first time someone had given them a choice. Normally, all they could get was cold orders from their superiors. They looked toward Aarv with more respect and answered, "Even if we have to lay down our bodies, we will complete this mission." After hearing their affirmation, Aarv nodded with happiness as he ordered Sagar Rao. "Good¡ Sagarrao carved these brave soldiers'' names on a shilalekh (rock tablet used to convey information to future generations). They all will be known throughout history as Brave soldiers who accepted the mission." After hearing Aarv''s reply, the soldiers who were listening were shocked. Being mentioned in the historical records was the most honourable thing for normal soldiers. "Thank you, my lord¡" All the 50 soldiers bowed in unison as they thanked Aarv. First Historical Quest -finale The same night, While the Mughal army was retreating from the fort, additional 50 soldiers disguised as Mughal soldiers entered their army ranks. As usual, after the Mughal soldiers returned to their respective army camps, they started fires to cook food and rest for the night. The 50 soldiers who infiltrated the Mughal camp waited patiently for all the enemy soldiers to relax and let their guard down. At midnight, A commotion broke towards the east of the army camp which woke the whole army camp. Horns, as well as warning drums, started sounding as more and more soldiers took their weapons and started fighting among themselves. Soon commotion reached the west and south side of the army camp too. Inside the commander''s tent, Slam¡ Azam Khan slammed his hand on a wooden table after hearing the commotion in the middle of the night. "Someone explain what is happening¡" He was furious because of the chaos inside the Mughal army camp. All the Mughal officials trembled under Azam Khan''s rage. Finally, One of the officers spoke, "Enemy soldiers infiltrated in our ranks my Lord but worry not, we have killed all 40 of the enemy soldiers¡" After hearing the report Azam Khan''s rage subsided a little. He then ordered, "Calm the soldiers down¡ increase the security inside the camp. If anyone suspicious was found, kill without mercy. Also, calculate the casualties¡" As Azam Khan was giving orders, one soldier came running inside the tent. "Urgent report¡. Urgent report¡ the granary¡. Huff¡ huff¡" "My lord¡ the granary¡ someone set the granary on fire¡" "What¡!!" All the officials including Azam Khan stood up after hearing the report. Azam Khan was fuming as he slapped the reporting soldier and ran out of his tent. On the north side of the army camp where Mughal army granaries were located, one of the granaries was on fire. Suddenly Azam Khan understood the whole plot. "Bastard¡!" He cursed as he took his horse and marched in the direction of the granaries. Spreading chaos among the Mughal soldiers was not the main objective of Aarv. His main objective was grains of the Mughal army. He knew that because of the famine, Mughal troops would find it difficult to obtain the grains deep inside the enemy territory. Once they ran out of the rations, It will be game over for the Mughal forces. If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. Azam Khan knew this situation too. He was madly rushing towards the granaries to save the rest of them. But at last, one granary after another was set on fire. When Azam Khan reached the granaries, All he could see was fire and smoke. Azam Khan felt his heart tighten at the sight of burning grain. He tried to collect soldiers to put out the fire but it was too late. --- The next morning, The disheartened soldiers heard the order of retreat from their commander''s tent. The Mughal campaign on the Deccan plateau failed miserably. Just because of a single fort, Fort of Dharur! Loud cheers broke as the soldiers standing on top of the fort wall watched the retreating Mughal army with tears in their eyes. ''They defeated the unstoppable Mughal forces¡'' All the people felt proud of their achievements. While retreating, Azam Khan looked towards the fort of Dharur with fuming rage. ''You all just wait¡ I will personally kill every single person inside the fort.'' While the defeat at Dharur was humiliating, Azam Khan was just a vanguard for the 500,000 strong Mughal forces stationed in Aurangabad. Once he regrouped with the main force, he can bring the whole army down south and get rid of the forces. While he was thinking of regrouping, Azam Khan noticed loud noises coming their way from the east side. He turned his head sideways and felt shocked. a 20,000 strong army along with horses and elephants was marching toward the Mughal forces. "Oh no¡" Azam Khan felt his scalp tingling as he thought of a possibility. ''I need to hurry¡'' Azam Khan ordered his soldiers to increase their pace as they marched towards the pass of Anjan Dudh. He knew that once he passed the pass of Anjan Dudh, he and his army would be safe. But, the worst-case scenario was already set in place. That night, forces of Ahamadnagar attacked the pass of Anjan Dudh and took control over it. This was the first time Azam Khan felt helpless in front of an enemy as he watched the flag of Ahmadnagar sultanate on top of the pass of Anjan Dudh. --- Back inside the fort of Dharur, Aarv ordered his soldiers, "Prepare for attack¡ we will join forces from paranda and annihilate the Mughal forces¡" "Yeah¡!" Loud cheers broke as the gate of Dharur fort opened and a 10,000 strong army marched out of the fort towards the forces of Paranda. After both armies got in front of each other, they joined to form a coalition army. Inside the army formation, Aarv met the killedaar of Paranda. Both men looked at each other and nodded. The entire 30,000 strong army then marched towards the pass of Anjan Dudh. --- As the army approached the Mughal forces, they could see their disheartened looks. Aarv already knew that the main officials of the Mughal army had already left via mountain road while leaving behind their army. He sighed and shouted in a loud voice, "Your commander left you all here to die¡? What a surprise, Soldiers who gave their lives to achieve their commander''s wishes were abandoned here to die¡ hahaha" All the coalition troops started laughing at the Mughal army. But Aarv''s face suddenly became serious as he said, "Those that surrender will keep their lives." The Mughal soldiers looked toward the coming army with fear. As the coalition army got closer and closer, one of the soldiers dropped the weapon in his hand and got on his knees. After the first soldier, more and more soldiers dropped their weapons. Those that resisted were killed by the joint army forces. In a single afternoon, The Mughal campaign was destroyed by the forces on the Deccan plateau. As Aarv was watching the army, he heard the sound of the system. [ Ding¡] [ Historical Quest: Fort of Dharur completed.] [ Evaluating a player''s performance¡] [ Evaluation complete¡ Quest Completion Rank SSS] [ Calculating Rewards¡] Aarv looked at the notifications with shock. "I got SSS rank..?" Although there were only 6 ranks mentioned in the system database (F, D, C, B, A, S), there was one additional rank. It was only given when a player exceeded the quest requirement. Aarv became very happy after the system''s announcement. He knew that there were special rewards for getting a SSS rank. Finally, the system''s voice sounded in Aarv''s ears. [ Calculation complete¡] [ Rewards: legendary village creation token, 10,000 gold coins, nobility title: Boron ] Aarv was shocked when he saw the rewards. a legendary item! Aarv held the village creation token with his trembling hand. This token was the most important thing for lord class players. With the help of a village creation token, any lord class player was able to create their territory inside the game. There were 5 classes of village creation tokens in the peace online game. Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and legendary. Among them, legendary tokens were most rare because there was only one legendary token allotted to a country. Once the legendary token was given out, no more legendary tokens would appear inside the respective country. Aarv looked at the legendary token in his hand with sparkling eyes. The main advantage legendary tokens had over the other tokens was that they allowed special buildings. These special buildings were buildings in the city or the town that were used for special purposes only. The second reward that caught Aarv''s eyes was the nobility title. Peace online had nobility titles that granted them special privileges inside the NPC cities. These titles were Boron, Viscount, Count, Earl, Duch, Prince, King and Emperor. A player with a King title was given the ability to control 1 NPC city while a person with an Emperor title was given the ability to control all the NPC cities inside a kingdom. Getting the boron title meant that Aarv got a massive head start in the game. Aarv felt like shouting aloud and dancing with joy. Aarv felt happy after the rewards he got from his first historical quest. He soon logged out of the game. [ Logging off¡] --- Cousin Brother (A Villain...?) Inside Aarv''s room, The gaming cabin was constantly making alarm sounds while flashing red lights. [Warning¡!] [ Low Nutritional Fluid level¡] [ Preparing for a forced Logout¡] [Logging out in 3¡ 2¡ ] As the countdown was reaching 0, the door of Aarv''s gaming cabin opened as Aarv got out of the gaming cabin. When Aarv looked at his surroundings, he noticed the flashing red lights as well as warning signs of the gaming cabin. He hurriedly checked the control panel of the gaming cabin. After checking, he noticed that the nutritional fluid levels in his gaming cabin were dangerously low. Aarv remembered that the staff installing the gaming cabin specifically warned him to check the nutritional fluid levels every five days. Looking at the dangerously low level of nutritional fluid, Aarv felt really lucky. ''That was close¡'' While the official forums of the game stated that one can play the game without the support of nutritional fluids, ignoring one''s physical needs might adversely affect the person in the long term. Aarv got up and refilled the nutritional fluid inside his gaming cabin. After making sure that everything inside the gaming cabin worked perfectly, he heaved a sigh and left his room to take a stroll around the house. ___ After walking around for a while, Aarv noticed that the mansion was very quiet. Generally, the mansion would have been filled with a lot of people but today, aarv didn''t see a single person inside the mansion. ''Did something happen¡?'' As Aarv was thinking about the unusual quietness, he saw Dada in the distance. He hurriedly went towards Dada and greeted him, The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation. "Dada¡" Dada heard Aarv''s voice and turned his attention towards Aarv and asked, "Ohhh Aarv babu¡ Did you pass the test for lord game mode¡?" Although Dada asked the question with a smiling face, Aarv could sense that there was a deep worry in Dada''s eyes. In his years of experience, Aarv knew that something serious must have happened inside the family. He quickly tried to probe more information out of dada, "Obviously, I passed the test with flying colours¡" While speaking, Aarv suddenly asked the question, "What happened Dada¡? Everything is so quiet here in the mansion¡?" As soon as Dada heard Aarv''s question, he released a deep sigh, "Aarv babu, your uncle came with your cousin to the mansion yesterday. They were proudly displaying your cousin''s achievements in the peace online." While speaking, Dada looked at Aarv''s expression. Seeing an expressionless face, Dada continued, "Your cousin won the first historical event and got a rare village creation token. They demanded a lot of resources from your father and grandfather¡" After hearing what happened, Aarv clenched his fists tightly. His cousin was 5 years older than him. Like his father, Aarv and his cousin Suraj Bhosle never got along with each other. His uncle handled a business company and lived separately along with his wife and two children. Aarv could vaguely remember the scene of his uncle fighting with his grandfather and father to divide all the property into two. At that time Aarv''s grandfather conceded and divided the property into two equal parts. This incident had a huge impact on Aarv''s grandfather as he got weaker and weaker after the incident. "They said to your father that if you all want to develop a rare territory inside peace online, you should give up on your property. " "Well, it won''t be necessary as I have already passed the lord game mode." Although Aarv was fuming when he heard that his Uncle shamelessly asked for all the family property, he still kept his head cool. ''Keep Calm¡'' Aarv Knew that right now was not the right time to start the fight. He needed to surpass his cousin in peace online first. "Where is my father¡?" Aarv asked. He needed to tell his father that he had already passed the historical quest and got the only legendary village creation token in the country to lessen his father''s worries. "Come with me Aarv babu¡" Dada bowed and started walking towards the new building beside the mansion followed closely by Aarv. --- Once both men reached the new building area, Aarv felt shocked. He saw rows upon rows of gaming cabins inside the new building. Seeing Aarv''s shocked expression, Dada explained. "These gaming cabins are set for your future comrades¡ They will help you develop your own territory. There are a total of 500 gaming cabins set up here¡" As Dada was explaining things to Aarv, they saw Aarv''s grandfather, father, uncle and cousin coming out of the main office. After seeing Aarv, his cousin hurriedly went towards him, "Aarv¡ how are you¡?" He extended his hand towards aarv. Although he was smiling, Aarv sensed deep animosity directed toward him. "I am fine¡ what about you¡" Aarv greeted him back with a handshake. He then turned his attention toward his father. "Father, I have completed the historical quest. I am a lord game mode player now." Aarv''s remark made his father really happy. But, someone else was not happy about the news. Both Aarv''s uncle and cousin felt sour. With much difficulty, they have made progress to get more resources out of Aarv''s grandfather. His uncle started laughing, "Congratulations Beta*. Which rank did you get in the historical quest? Suraj got a Rare rank." (Def: Beta word used to address little ones in the family.) He specifically emphasized Suraj getting a Rare rank with pride. After hearing him, both Aarv''s father and his grandfather''s faces turned unsightly. Before things get worse, Aarv''s grandfather spoke, "Since both of them passed the historical quest, I will divide the resources equally. What to do with these resources is up to individuals." "Yes, Father¡" "Yes, grandfather¡" All four of the family members acknowledged the old man.
