《The Universe In My Mind》
Chapter 1
My name is JasonReven, and in the first moment I really became aware as a child of everything, my mind suddenly felt something crazy happen.
I imagined a huge explosion and a space expanding. For years I told stories of the crazy happenings that would occur in my imagination. Sometimes I could somehow tell that everything seemedto bespeeding up, other times it would slow down.
As time went on and I grew older and kept it to myself. While peoplewere interestedat first, they got tired of it after years of me telling them about things that happened.
When I became 14 years old, in my mind there were countless stars and galaxies, it was incredible.
I asked and looked around to see if anyone else had this strange universe in their mind and somehow no one had every talked about anything like it before.
Instead of it being a vague image in the mind that people commonly talked about, in my mind there was near perfect clarity and it was extremely easy to focus on some areas.
When I turned 16 Ihad a brilliantidea, what if I could try to manipulate the universe in my mind. I focused on an entire galaxy and with a single thought I saw it suddenly disappear. For some reason I never thought of ever trying to influence it and it came asquitea shock.
I quickly moved my focustoa single planet instead of justoverseeingthe entire thing. I tried to move the rocks on the planet into a ball. The ball floated on the surface of the cold dark surface. But as usual I couldquiteeasily see it even in pure darkness.
I slung it at the moon of the planet and I watched in amazement as a few seconds later the moon had a massive crater where I threw it.
I made and compacted another rock and this time I usedquitea bit more power, the area around me completely vaporized and turned to lava, there was a massive boom and I watched the shining stone launch into the moon.This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there.
Quickly the entire moon shattered and it was quite amazing. Doing things like moving and destroying was completely effortless, with a single thought itwas done.
I moved to many planets and kept destroying and throwing stuff at them. It started off with just simple rocks and things of that nature. Then it gradually got bigger and bigger to the point of grabbing moons and hurling them at planets at different speeds.
Watching the incredible results of the planets breaking in half, shattering, or in some cases, vaporizing.
The only downside was that I didn''t know everything that was going on in the universe in my mind, it was just that I could see what was going on and manipulate it by moving things.
For the next couple years I kept going on with my life. Whenever Iwas boredI would go into my mind, messing around with stars, planets, gas giants, many things and generally just messing around, watching planets shatter, and many more things.
I also discovered that I could make time speed up and slow down. I tried to stop time and found that while possible,it took an active effort tokeep it stopped.
Making time faster or slower was considerably easier and with a mere thought I could set time to whatever I wished but I found that it tended to try to go to a certain speed which seemedto bethe equal speed of time on Earth.
When I turned 18 I was still going on with my life as usual, sometimes going into my mind to see insane things like stars exploding, planets colliding, andquitea few other interesting things.
Often exploring planets just to see what they looked like, every planet I came across was simply the same, barren and rocky, sometimes full of lava, but most of the time cold, rocky, and deserted.
Then something crazy happened. I was holding a bookandnot really paying any attention to it. I was zoning out and watching things smash together as usual. Then when I was watching from far away I imagined if the book in my hand would somehow be in the universe in my mind.
Then my hands suddenly faltered and my view quickly focused back into reality. I noticed the book was gone, originally the moment the book fell I prepared my bodyto behit by it since I thought the book simply slipped out of my hands.
I noticed the book was somehow gone. Iwas confusedfor a second before I moved my focus back into the universe and to my shock I saw the book floating in space. It was just floating there.
Then my mind went blank and I simply looked at it with a dazed look on my face.
Chapter 2
After trying and trying to bring the book back for hours with an insane amount of effort I found that it was impossible. No matter how hard I tried to bring the book back it seemed like bringing it back was impossible. Trying over and over to push it through the barrier that seemed to allow things into my universe from reality but not my universe to reality.
The barrier seemingly was only one way. As no matter how hard I tried I found that bringing the book back was simply impossible. It was like trying to push a brick wall.
After finally giving up after nearly an entire day I had to go on with my life. As I was in college I was rather distracted the entire day. Simply focusing on the book drifting in space. I was rather gentle with the book. Carefully moving it from one direction to another. I then tried to transport the book somewhere else.
I had never really tried to transport anything, instead always flinging or destroying things. Eventually I found another ability I had not known about, I could quite easily link two places and make a wormhole of sorts.
After expanding the wormhole to a proper size I moved the book from one side of the universe to the other. I then practiced many other abilities that I did not try to do before. Most of which were changing the shape and makeup of things to other things. After testing I changed the shape of the rocks I got to a simple house floating in space.
Quite early on in my creation of the house I tried to make it from nothing, simply appearing. I found that while I could make things appear from nothing, it took a lot of effort compared to moving objects from rocky planets to space with wormholes and shaping them to proper things to make a house.
It was a rather crude house but it was a house nevertheless. I moved the book into the house and since it had no gravity it simply floated after I stopped moving it. I realized that I should probably have a planet I can put cool stuff or test things.
I was lucky enough to have literally a whole universe at my disposal so I picked new planets every time I wanted to do something. I ended up finding a rather strange flat planet and I found the cause of this was since it was tidally locked the winds were absolutely insane from the heat and cold of the sides facing the sun and the darkness.
I realized I had not tried to really find out how big of a wormhole I could actually make. I found out as it got larger it simply took a slight more effort to keep up. I ended up making one the size of hundreds of galaxies but it took a lot of effort to keep it open.This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
I let it close and then moved the planet, I forgot the house was there and watched it fling to the planet since the planet''s gravity was pulling the house. I quickly kept it from falling and then I had an idea, I tried to nullify gravity around the house, making it act as if it was in the middle of space.
This took not a lot but not a little effort. I was interested and practiced on bigger and bigger objects, even testing a moon and a planet right next to each other where they would normally be smashing together the moon simply stayed extremely close to the planet without moving towards it. Eventually when I got to stars I found it was a lot harder to stop it from making gravity.
Galaxies seemed to be far above what I could do and simply destroying or moving things in the galaxy was far easier. While I was messing around in my mind I didn''t notice someone calling my name until I felt a hand on my shoulder and I snapped back to reality.
Quickly realizing I had completely missed whatever they were talking about the professor spoke to me in a rather annoyed tone.
"Jason, do you know or not? Perhaps you find my class boring enough to daydream in the middle of it?" The professor spoke in a rather annoyed tone.
The professor was seemingly in the transition of becoming older from middle-aged, with a few specks of graying hair here and there. Sadly, I had absolutely no clue what he was talking about so I spoke rather apologetically.
"I am sorry, I wasn''t paying attention, what was the question?"
After giving a slight reprimand he sighed and walked back to the stage and asked the question from there.
The question itself was rather simple and I was lucky enough to remember the answer and answered correctly. I realized I was too engrossed in my mind that I needed to pay more attention to what was going on around me.
The rest of the lecture was rather simple and I made sure not to get distracted again and instead I took notes here and there. I was smart enough to skip senior year of highschool so I got into a university earlier than most.
In the end I managed to get into the school I was aiming for, not the best school I tried to get into, but a good one nevertheless. I was not good enough to get into those exceptionally good schools like Harvard or Yale but I was good enough to get into a rather good school.
I was walking down the halls and one of my few friends came next to me and began to talk to me.
"Jason, we need to hangout more, you also seem to be spacing out more, are you alright?"
"I''m fine just trying to focus on classes and constantly thinking of many terms and other things of that nature. Thanks for your concern Dean." I said with a light smile on my face.
Dean was a friend from before I came to college, he was in my high school and when I was a junior graduating early he also happened to be going to the same school so we decided to dorm together. It ended up being a rather good friendship, he was a caring person.
Dean seemed to be thinking of something and then he snapped his fingers and exclaimed.
"I got it! Is it that universe in your mind?" He said with a grin on his face.
I was rather surprised that he actually got it on his first try. He was one of the incredibly few people who actually believed me and was always interested in it and I would sometimes tell him stories of what would happen in it.
Chapter 3
I looked at Dean a bit oddly and I was a little shocked at how he figured me out so quickly. He ended up grinned the whole time once he saw my reaction.
"While you don''t talk about it often, I can tell you are passionate about it, usually whenever you seem to focus on it you zone out here in reality." Dead explained as they kept walking.
"You are correct" I simply said and gave a quiet and light applause.
With a smile he continued speaking.
"So, what''s going on, I am curious." Dean asked.
I randomly jumped to a star in my mind and began tearing it apart, describing the results to Dean briefly. With an interested expression he seemed rather into it as he usually did. I then realized what time it was and I quickly said my goodbyes and parted to go to my next class.
After I reached my class I decided to stay focused and it proved more difficult than expected, but luckily I managed to get through. Afterwards it was finally my time to go back to my dorm and continue my testing with the book and other objects.
As usual with any object it was impossible to bring them back. Two plastic knives, one fork, three rubber bands, and an alarm clock. Originally, with the plastic utensils and rubber bands, it was not that interesting, same as the book, impossible to move back to reality once put into my universe.
The alarm clock however had a surprise waiting for me, as I put the electronic into the universe, at first everything was rather normal. Then I tried to charge it, shockingly, it worked and I managed to keep it fully charged as long as my attention remained on it.
I hesitated as I looked at a few other electronics, I found that I could quite easily manipulate the alarm clock but I was worried because I didn''t have much money so it would be a waste if something happened to the expensive electronics like a phone or light computer in my universe.
I decided to try something out first and I asked around if anyone had a destroyed or unused laptop lying around that I could take. My excuse was I was going to take it apart and then examine some stuff because I was curious but I didn''t want to spend the money if I didn''t have to.
After around an hour of looking around I finally found someone who had a laptop that had a major dent in it and would not turn on. It was a low-end laptop but for my purposes it was fine. I took the computer back to my dorm, luckily Dean was still in class, and I threw the laptop into my universe.
I tried to charge it and it didn''t turn on. Then I tried to do something new, instead of speeding up time I decided to try to reverse it. At first trying to reverse everything proved as easy as bringing things from my universe into the real world.Reading on Amazon or a pirate site? This novel is from Royal Road. After lowering the area to just around the computer I found it difficult but manageable. I watched as the computer seemingly started to get some color back into it and when I noticed light coming from the screen I stopped. I found that it was open to a page but the page said there was no internet connection.
I grinned and charged it instantly and I tried to type. In my universe, instead of being an avatar and being able to do whatever I wished, I was more of an observer with control.
After around half an hour I noticed Dean come back but I pretended to be asleep, he went to do his own things and left after another half an hour. I went back to my universe and after another hour I was able to easily type on the keyboard in my universe.
I then had an idea, a slightly evil idea, but one that would benefit me. I was no stranger to cheating on tests, in high school, nearly everyone did it once. I was not the exception. I didn''t cheat everything but once or twice I did it in dire times.
I sent some paper filled with notes into my universe. One of the limitations was that I could not do both, focus in my universe and focus in reality. Whenever I switched to either side I would feel a drifting in focus and it took a bit of physical contact or loud noises to get my attention once I was in my universe.
Normally I took all my notes on a file on my laptop, I decided to print them out under the disguise of keeping a physical backup. After I went back to my dorm, Dean was still out as he usually was. He was quite the opposite of me, he was much more active and often went out to parties and came back late.
I sent the paper with my notes into my universe and kept them in a very safe place. I went to class where I had my test and when I saw it I realized that since I took notes of nearly everything I could easily ace it with the notes I had stored in my universe.
I was slightly nervous but I knew that no one else really believed that I had a universe in my mind in the first place, most thought I was just trying to get attention, now I realized I had to keep it rather low profile since if I exposed the fact I could make things from reality disappear and go into the universe in my head, who knows what would happen to me.
Eventually I decided to steel myself and looked at the notes. To other I simply zoned out while I was looking and reading the printed notes in my universe. I decided to only partially cheat since while I was a decent student, typically mid to high B''s, if I suddenly started to ace everything I took it would be extremely suspicious.
After turning in the test no one thought anything of it since on the outside I was just zoning out quite a bit during the test. When the professor stopped me and let everyone else go I was a bit worried he noticed.
"Jason, is everything alright? You were zoning out quite a bit and then quickly writing on the test before going back to that dazed look, anything you want to talk about?" Asked the professor as the last person left.
"Oh, sorry, I just didn''t get much sleep last night, I am a bit tired so I was slightly exhausted today, I will make sure I am good for tomorrow" I said with an internal sigh of relief.
After a few pleasantries I left the classroom and I went back to my dorm. Except before I went to my dorm, I went to a shop and bought something I was very excited to test. As I entered my dorm, I saw Dean sitting around and as he saw what I was holding he asked a rather normal question.
"Why did you bring a plant back to the dorm?"
Chapter 4
"No particular reason." I said as I walked to my bed.
"May I know what possessed you to getting a plant?" Dean asked once again, seemingly adamant on figuring why I wanted a plant.
"Well, you know, I am just trying some stuff out. Curious, why are you here? Normally you are doing all other kinds of things." I said as I turned to him after playing with the plant.
Dean shrugged and went on to his phone, seemingly messaging. I wanted to quickly do more tests on actually having a planet have life and speeding up time. I had done a lot of research on how to find out if a planet was in the perfect zone for water to exist.
Actually getting water and finding a proper planet was by far the easiest task, the difficult thing was trying to figure out if the plants would just die the moment I put them down so I got a few plants.
One of them was a type of algae and a few others that I could easily find. After around 10 minutes Dean stood up and turned to me.
"Alright, I am heading out, have fun with your plant" Dean said with a grin.
cya" I said with a sigh.
After he finally left I went into my mind and quickly grabbed comets that were rich in water. I had already done more research on what they would look like and after straining my focus I could tell there was water.
I grabbed a ton of them and threw them at the planet I had pre-selected. It was hard to do but I created a sort of beacon where I would create an invisible molecular sized space where I would both speed up and slow time.
Since it took a slight amount of effort I could easily find where it was without any hassle. The only issue was once I fell asleep the markers would almost always disappear.
quite a few galaxies to point at the galaxy I was focusing on, then I would basically isolate the star so that it stood out in the galaxy once I narrowed my focus once again.
remain like that and I can find them again even after going to sleep. After I lost a planet it was basically impossible to find it again since there were literally countless planets in my universe.
was filled with oceans I took all the plants and thrust them into the ocean along with a single one next to it.
As I was looking at my handiwork I realized I problem, there would be no waves since there was no moon. I sighed and found a nearby field of asteroids and I made them crash into themselves until there was a large moon sized object.
little bit.
I spent hours trying to perfect the orbit by giving more and more power pushing it into a stable orbit. After what seemed like forever I finally got it and even after speeding up time a lot I noticed it barely moved.
I gave it a little more power and noticed it was incredibly slowly drifting away. This was by far more safe in my mind since if it slightly got closer it would eventually hit the planet. I sped up time for a while, I never really grasped how fast I could make time go but I noticed the entire planet''s atmosphere changing so I decided to slow it down to check it out.
There were still no plants on the surface of the planet, however, there was an ocean full of small creatures I had never seen before. I was a little shocked because I never knew how fast time was going, but if it was enough for the plants and bacteria to evolve then it must have been a huge amount of time.
was shocked when seemingly the entire planet''s surface became covered in green. I zoomed back in and saw what looked like moss growing everywhere. I noticed very small creatures moving about and I saw one larger about half the size of a human male.
I suddenly realized that Earth''s history had countless extinctions that lead to the people of today so I carefully found a decently sized asteroid and I nudged it into the future path of the planet.
to be in flames for a split second before it went back to normal. The only difference was the total lack of greenery.
little bit more before going back to the planet to check the progress.

made a giant bubble of lava. I had researched what would be a global scale volcanic eruption and I made the size of the bubble similar but slightly smaller than what I had found was a good size.
quite a long . However, after a bit of waiting and speeding up time, I saw the molten area go away and I was slightly worried since the greenery that had quickly come back the time didn''t.
sigh of relief as I saw the plants take over the planet once again. I went back to check on the planets creatures and I as they looked like dinosaurs. There were some obvious differences but they looked rather similar.
numerous pieces since I hit the land dead on. The first time I hit the ocean and it didn''t have such a reaction.
rather than the massive dinosaur-like creatures from before.
creature. It looked like a panther but stood on its legs. Fangs came out of its mouth and it seemed very combat orientated. I then had an idea. What if I tried to change the genetic code of the animals.
After zooming out I realized the giant markers seemed moved slightly. I moved them back and I made it easy to find the star. I left my universe and did some research. I found that to change the genetic code of animals would be impossible unless I could change the genetic code of the growing embryo.
was confused at first before I reprimanded myself as an idiot because I expected the genetic code similar even though they evolved completely differently.
I then took it upon myself to keep the animal safe. I tried many things but they did not work. I really didn''t want to have to watch over and protect the animal for its entire life.
pather-like was a female so I could do my experiments without having to find a female. I then found out I could give it a sort of power. It allowed the a slight ability to affect the world.
was surprised to find it made a tribe around itself.
pather-like spending time with a baby. I decided not to call them creatures and simply called them .
had the ability to slightly affect the world around her.
Well, to me it was slight, for the inhabitants of the world it was probably a godlike power. Then I realized she was actually being prayed to. I had an idea and I then zoomed in and took away her ability. She noticed the loss in power instantly and I made the mountains rise around their tribe and altar.
beastfolk was in deep fear and simply laid on the ground seemingly praying to her.
beastfolk, I created a slightly transparent avatar of myself and I smiled before I pointed at her and gave her power back.
She once again noticed it instantly and quickly went on her hands and knees before my avatar. I made the ground rise around us and I created a temple that would last an incredibly long time. By compressing the walls with a large amount of stone the walls would be near impervious to most attacks or natural disasters.
I then waved slightly and I disappeared. The rivers of fire, lightning, darkness disappeared while the mountains fell to the ground causing massive tremors. I noticed them all slowly get up and look at the temple in shock and awe.
beastfolk who I originally gave some of my powers still kneeling. Even after speeding up time a slight amount she didn''t get up until a bit later.
numerous buildings spring up similar to my temple and they were surrounding it but they were all a bit smaller. I just took this as their building skills not being quite up to par.
beastfolk once again have a child. I couldn''t instantly tell when the child was being born and it seemed unless I put total attention I wouldn''t be able to experiment.
Instead I focused on my powers. I had never tried to make an avatar of myself so the semi-translucent avatar, while alright, seemed to not be the limit. I went to another galaxy and I made an avatar floating in space. This one was far more corporeal and seemed lifelike. I made it grow and found I didn''t really sense a limit. After eventually making the avatar grow larger than a galaxy I stopped.
Seemingly no limit. I thought and then I practiced giving my power to something inanimate. Nothing happened. I made an avatar as even though it was far easier to manipulate things from the non-avatar form of myself, I wanted to test it out from a normal perspective. I picked up the sharp rock I gave my power to.
I could tell my power was still in the rock and I swung the rock in a direction while trying to focus on the power in the rock. A massive, formless, and invisible slash tore through the ground and made a massive gash in the rocky landscape of the barren planet.
I took my power away from it and tried once again, nothing happened. I found even with other objects, when it came to giving my power to inanimate objects, they could only really be used for destructive purposes.
I then left my universe and went to sleep. It was quite late and I was pretending to sleep so Dean wouldn''t disturb me. I fell asleep and thought about everything I could do tomorrow in my universe.
sense the power I gave to the female .
Chapter 5
in reality it was her using all her ability to the limit to stop the lava from erupting. With a single thought the entire eruption with all the lava suddenly disappeared. I noticed her shock before pair of eyes look down from the night sky.
quite a long time before going back to the village around the temple.
females and of the beastfolk had bulky bodies that were very powerful.
I then noticed they at some point they created a type of worship to me. I only noticed this after speeding up time and watching the days pass as a few of them came to the temple at dawn and dusk.
I watched to try to communicate to them but I realized this would be very difficult. They didn''t really have a structured language. I decided to speed up their development.
onto the altar in the temple when they were all praying. As making the avatar was soundless and gave no warning, they didn''t realize I was even there. Like before I made my avatar slightly translucent and humanoid. I sat on the altar and then I tried to send the best way I could convey it.
Speaking of which, they were rather tall, standing at nearly 7 feet. Luckily I made myself around 7 feet so although there were a couple that were taller, they were in the minority.
I then tried to send her images of writing and language, which was actually surprisingly easy. I then sent her a couple more things like how to make tools since they only used their hands now.
Then I simply nodded to her and disappeared. She once again kneeled but this time she left quickly. With a slight smile I sped up time once again.
a couple seconds I noticed the town rapidly developing. However, I noticed again that they never made their buildings higher than the temple. Then it hit me that they must have developed a culture and part of it was not going above the temple.
to be making their buildings more and more abundant. Then I suddenly slowed down time quickly due to feeling the loss of the power given to the female beastfolk.
to be concerned how to dispose of the body.
have been watching them for a while, they normally just throw the bodies into a river that would then take the body into the ocean. A very barbaric method but still a useful way to dispose of bodies.
quite a bit like english. The spoken language however was completely different.
head up to see the avatar I made. He looked confused for a second before shock came across his face. His eyes widened and he seemed extremely worried about something.

males were almost always put to hard labor such as building houses or fighting for food and other supplies.
He clearly felt something but he didn''t know what it was. I let go of his shoulder and I gave a wave as I made myself disappear. Quickly I noticed him making his surroundings start to distort.
He seemed to realize he had the power and ran out. He had a wide smile on his face and I sent one last message to him through my intent.
"Make the village grow and protect others"
the confusion of a few beastfolk. In the entire village there were no more than a thousand beastfolk. I sped up time and watched in shock as he made the village expand a bit.
the tradition of going to pray at dusk and dawn. This time, instead of the female beastfolk leading the praying session, he did.
I then sent him the same information about how to develop language more. He quickly kneeled and then got back up to quickly execute the request. Then I noticed new buildings appear near the temple, they were quite wide and curiosity got the better of me and I slowed time and looked inside.
was dedicated to what appeared writing and then I saw another, area, drawing on slabs. I noticed how most of them were of my avatar and the first time I descended.
to be very careful in what they did.
quite evenly. I noticed the beastfolk on the one side were the children of the first female beastfolk I gave my power to and the other had the male beastfolk I gave my power to.
to be yelling at each other before the male beastfolk cast out his hand and yelled as the surroundings became increasingly chaotic. Then I saw an entire half of the village which was now rather large exit the village. The male beastfolk had a crestfallen look on his face and he went into the temple.
should be punished for what he did. I simply shook my head and sent him words through my intent.
at the time. There will be no punishment. Also, go have a few children, I don''t believe you aren''t interested in having kids."
I sped up time and saw him seemingly teaching his kids. They were a variety of ages but they seemed generally on the young side. Sadly, I couldn''t understand what he was trying to teach his kids due to the simple fact that I didn''t know the language.
I went back to speeding up time and then I decided to send a wave of intent across the entire village that was now back to the size before the split.

significantly lessened.
I moved over to the new village far away that contained the split from long ago. I noticed how the leaders were majorly female. There was one tradition they kept, praying at dawn and dusk.

quite a lot more emphasis on art and valued it above writing. I was curious why they would value art while the other village would value writing.
females being valued more. I sighed but didn''t try to change anything because I was curious how they would develop. Their village grew but at a rate than the other village.
much higher quality and made my avatar appear sitting across from him.
His head jolted up at the chair suddenly appearing and my avatar being across from him. As usual he quickly tried to kneel but I stopped him from doing so by stopping his body from kneeling. He was a bit worried but I made him relax by saying it was not needed.
I sent a long wave of intent at him.
"I want you to create your own village, I find you very interesting and I want to see how you can develop. Choose a willing female to breed with and I will send you somewhere very far from here where you can grow without restraint."
was made of metal and had better design that the chairs they normally used. He hid the chair under a pelt of another animal and then went out of his house.
was shocked and I made my appearance.
I noticed once the two noticed me they kneeled and I waved my hand and then spoke through intent.
were teleported to another continent. I grinned as they just noticed the difference by looking out the window. I sent one last wave of intent before I disappeared.
"I have created a field where all monsters and wild animals will be kept out, only you or your children will be able to go through freely."
They kneeled and then they quickly got to work. I made the entire house go with them so they had some sort of shelter. With a smile I thought in my head.
''Things are starting to get interesting''
Chapter 6
beastfolk named Anima. I didn''t know that beastfolk, fighting to survive. Then I gained a power that made me unbeatable.
beastfolk.
quite a long time, doing whatever I desired. I expanded the tribe and I made it larger and larger. I could fight and defeat the other beasts rather easily with my power.
Then one day I proclaimed myself as a goddess. I made a massive altar and made everyone obey and worship me. In that moment I felt more power than I had ever felt before.
Then something unexpected happened. I had always felt my power and kept it active to enhance my abilities. I felt the total loss of my power.
was covered in darkness, booming lightning appeared around the tribe but not hitting the tribe directly.
Then I saw him. At first we had no name but we quickly gave him a name fitting to his power. Will Of The World. Everything quickly fell into place about why no one else had this power. I searched and questioned if anyone else had this kind of power but it seemed like I alone had this power.
beastfolk gained an ability to sense their surroundings I could tell he rose his hand and was pointing at me.
I quickly felt my power come back, just as familiar as ever. I then noticed the surroundings suddenly rise out of the ground and build some sort of structure.
He waved and disappeared. Then everything went back to normal, the sky went back to being bright with the sun flying high. The rivers of fire fizzled out in the sky and the lightning stopped.
Then the mountains hit the ground, causing massive shocks to go through the ground, seemingly emphasising just how strong he really was. I didn''t get up for a long time. As far as I knew, he was always watching. I thought about many things and decided to build things like what he made.
The authority of the Will Of The World was absolute.
in order to show our loyalty to the Will Of The World. I declared myself Anima and would go every praying session.
A few years passed and I had my first child, I went to the temple to pray with her. As my first child I valued her greatly and told her the power of the Will Of The World.
make the eruption stop, I could tell that I was injuring myself and if I kept trying to stop it I would die.
was meant . Just as I was going to give up, I suddenly felt the lava simply disappear. I could somehow tell there was something above me and I looked up and saw a faint pair of giant eyes.
Quickly kneeling I prayed and prayed. Then after giving one last thanks I got up to go back to the tribe. However, I had grown much weaker due to fighting the eruption and trying to stop nature.
Conveying our thoughts to each other was incredibly difficult and caused many issues. For another few years this problem plagued us and then we were given a gift.
soundlessly one day. As I suddenly noticed him and quickly but calmly came up to greet him. Then I felt my mind explode with knowledge that I had never even thought of.
Symbols on paper, faint and blurry images of mouths moving to make noises. It was a way to advance, even I could tell that. I quickly made the proper groups and had them create noises for more complex words.
After that, people began to write, slowly getting used to this new way. The children seemed to pick up on it far faster than the adults.

final breath, I told my daughter I loved her. Deep inside me I prayed that she would be given my powers once I passed.

Mikal. My parents died in a fight against a beast. Normally, we are at the top of the food chain, but Anima was not there so we were powerless to stop them. They let me leave at the cost of their own lives.
I prayed, day in and day out that the Will Of The World would allow me to change things for the better. Then one day I went into a dark corner between two buildings.If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it.
soundlessly let my feelings out for no one else to see. Then I noticed a faint light pointing in my direction.
My head swung up and I saw him. The one we all prayed to and hoped would eventually come to each one of us. The Will Of The World.
position I had to get up first. He put his hand on my and I could somehow feel the sheer amount of power and ability he had just through the faint touch.
was worried he would be angry with me but he had a kind look in his eyes. I felt another thing coming from him into me. It was like a power. I didn''t know what it was at first but then I heard his voice.
"Make the village grow and protect others"
When I say voice, it was more of him speaking directly into my mind. I instantly felt the weight and power of his words. It seemed like if he spoke loud enough everything would fall before him.
Then I noticed he was gone while I was processing what he said. I ran out into the open and noticed he was gone and no one else had seen him. I kneeled right there, not caring for how others viewed me.
For the next few years, I finally became an adult and I had full control over my abilities. I quickly made the village grow through going out myself to fight dangerous beasts to keep the surroundings safe.
Saintess Anima tried to do but simply didn''t put enough effort into.
I quickly realized the potential of this and I began having everyone try it out and we finally created a language and written language. I made sure to teach the kids since they seemed to pick up on it much faster.

Saintess Anima should rule me who should become a weapon of theirs. I quickly denied it and they threatened to split.
have been devastating but I had adamant since I had made the village grow so much.
Then they did exactly what they threatened to do. They split off and left to make another village. I desired to seek punishment from the Will Of The World for what I had done.
After that I prayed very adamantly and I once again saw him, the Will Of The World.
every fiber of my being be in shock, awe, and respect.
at the time. There will be no punishment. Also, go have a few children, I don''t believe you aren''t interested in having kids."
What he said very logical. I thought about the first parts and I was glad to know he didn''t want to punish me. However, the second half greatly confused me but I didn''t reject it.
After he left, I sought a mate and there were countless since the village had grown so much. After more years passed, I taught my kids about the Will Of The World and his incredible powers.
"This man will be the last vessel of my will"
Mikal would be the last one who had the powers of the Will Of The World.

They call me many names, but my name is Ren. I was born tiny and most thought I would grow bigger and stronger once I ate more, but I remained frail and tiny.
One of the main reasons I was not cast out was because I was very good at writing and could easily make smaller and more precise notes on slabs.
One day I was sitting alone, thinking about many things when I suddenly saw a chair like no other suddenly appear out of seemingly nothing. Then I saw him, the Will Of The World.
Saintess Anima.
to be with me I quickly brought them back to my house.
was shocked. Then we both saw him and we kneeled. He didn''t stop us this time but instead gave us more instructions. I was glad he didn''t just throw us into a completely different environment.
Without any warning we were suddenly in another place. I could tell due to the change in the air pressure and even type of air. Then he gave us a few extra orders.
fine. It was strange but we obviously agreed. Over the next few years my mate, , had many children. It was strange though, they were often completely different from me or any other we had ever seen before.
Oben.
to be incredibly smart and resourceful. We named him Aten.
After him was our first daughter, instead of the typical sleek black or dark brown fur she had white fur and was extremely frail and delicate. We named her Mir.
final of the strangeness of our children was by far the most shocking. She seemed to have the abilities of and Anima, the blessings of the Will Of The World. We named her .
Dreamia, our children were always like me, smaller, more frail than the typical , but still normal. The strange thing was that some of them seemed completely either of us. Changes in eye color and fur color were the most common.
It was extremely strange but we didn''t question it and simply continued to have children. Eventually we got older and would always teach our children who now did most of the work about the Will Of The world and his absolute power.
were worried, had died first, I expected from the constant childbirth. I kept teaching them what they should do. The first four children of ours were the leaders. The only issue was that they constantly fought each other.
Luckily the children most like us remained kind and didn''t fight. Then one day I finally realized my time had come and I silently passed away.
Chapter 7
beastfolk and the regular female , I gave them an order. They could only attempt to mate every 10 days. This would allow me to catch the developing child to change them.
beastfolk to give birth it only took three months.

The first child they had I made them have the limits of their species strengths. I also threw in golden fur instead of the typical black and brown because it looked better.
combined. I and then I decided to do more complex.
examine them.
end result was weirdly enough almost completely human. Even though the genetic code was still wildly different it looked exactly like a human. I was a little spooked by this so my next test was making something completely different.
Early on I tried to use my powers to see the future in my universe and I had limited success. The result was that I got a massive headache and I saw what was the most probable outcome, not exactly what would happen.
The child had strangely gone blind yet not blind. They could see and react but not actually see anything. It was extremely strange, I also made their fur white because why not.
I also discovered the child could see the future. Whenever she tried to look into the future, she would go completely silent and she would close her eyes. Not reacting to anything, even if it was dangerous.
to be.
final experiment was giving my powers to a living entity not even born yet. I wanted to see what the result would be and I left it at that.
the whole process it was strange. When I was modifying the code there was something in the back of my mind telling me what would happen if I changed it.
A sort of instinct deep in my head. I eventually got annoyed by it and went into reality to play some chance games. It was rather disappointing, nothing telling me in the back of my mind what to do or what would happen.
I went back and continued my experiments and it was back yet again. I eventually decided it was not too large of a problem since it was actually helping me.
bored and decided to mess around in some random galaxies. I zoomed out and randomly chose one. Almost instantly after zooming in I noticed the galaxy was much dimmer than normal. I zoomed more in on the darkest and I found something shocking.
There was a giant machine around a star. Letting out a limited amount of light. I saw ships moving to and from planets. Then I saw a massive opening that seemed to tear space.
sense it and I found that whatever made the machine somehow managed to create wormholes through an insane amount of energy.
to be fused with the ship into a console of sorts.
portion of the galaxy, nearby, but still than light.
unfuse with the ship and walked out.
I eventually decided to explore this species to see just how advanced they were. I noticed that none of their gates would teleport a ship more than a short distance.This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
I eventually decided to try to speak to one. I teleported a ship into a random blank space. I made sure before I left to give my power to a rock on a random planet as a marker.
I saw the creatures on the ship panic at the sudden teleportation. The ship itself had around 12 of them. I finally decided to make my appearance once I saw them all together.
numerous things shooting at me from the ship itself.
A defense system, a rather good one as well. I eventually got tired of it and instantly vaporized all the weapons shooting at me, including the hand cannons on their tentacles.
were shocked at the sudden disappearance of many objects but I eventually decided to try to communicate.
previously in. I included everything in the system, from the gate to the giant machine around the star itself. I pointed at the gate and then sent my intent to all of them.
"What is this?" With those three words I waited as they seemingly talked to each other.
They were a bit shocked but then I decided to give them a little scare, I made a protective bubble around them and teleported us outside of the ship.
After seeing their ship for a few seconds I teleported back into the ship and kept looking at them. A quick rushed conversation later one came forward.
creature had purple scales all over along with green tipped tentacles. It pointed at the gate and then at the machine around the star. I nodded and then sent another sentence.
"I understand the power comes from the star, show me where your capital is"
I quickly remodeled the hologram to show the entire galaxy. The tentacles were not very accurate so when they pointed at a space near the middle I zoomed into the region around it.
quite a few massive structures around the system. There was even one seemingly taking apart an entire planet and shooting out space ships. I nodded and then was happy they pointed at a planet.
previously at. After all, even if the civilization knows that I exist, there is no way they can hurt me.
I zoomed over the planet they showed me after following where my hologram was and then I found the city. I created a massive avatar, as big as a titan outside of the city. The entire planet was barren except for the cities. There was weirdly no smoke at all yet a thriving city.
every single one disappear once it came in contact with me. I wasnt even moving yet they were completely on the offensive.
numerous places that would explode so I made the sources of the explosions disappear.
I then shrunk my avatar and waited outside of the city. I assumed with their massive galactic sized civilization they would be able to figure out how to talk to me.
While I was waiting, I put a massive invisible barrier around the galaxy. Making it so even if they tried to escape to another galaxy, they would hit the barrier.
creature rise and float into the air.
creature. After seeing it struggle I simply created a bean bag of sorts and watched the sit down as well.
I then sent it a wave of intent.
must be quick and fast. Bring as many of your kind as you , once you figure it out, simply wait outside whatever machines you want, I will bring them and power them as well."
Then I teleported it back into the city and waited.
creature rush into a building but I decided to just wait. I wanted to see how they would solve it. After a few minutes I decided to give them a little scare. I teleported a moon from a random galaxy into the sky while making it have no gravity.
After making sure it wouldn''t influence the gravity I materialized a small rock and threw it at the moon. There was a massive explosion but I made sure to make it not too strong so it wouldn''t destroy the city.
was created.
I teleported the moon away and noticed the entire city seemingly in a frenzy. I then saw them calm down but still move rather quickly.
creature was there as well but the number increased to around 7 of them.
quite a bit just so the machines would fit. Then I waited a bit more.
Once a few others walked away from them and left them there, I finally teleported the 7 and the machines. I quickly gave power to the machines and then spoke one sentence.
"Let''s talk science."
Chapter 8
quite a bit of effort for them to figure out how to communicate with me and I was impatient so I slowed time to nearly a stop and then went into reality.
After a bit of looking around I realized that there was really nothing I could use to show them english. Normally I would be extremely cautious about giving an extremely advanced alien civilization knowledge of my world through books and other objects.
The only reason I considered it was because they were in my universe and I could easily destroy their entire galaxy with a single thought I was not very worried about what they could do with knowledge of my world.
a english dictionary and language for dummies book. After returning to my dorm I quickly sent them into my universe and came back.
The books were just floating in mid-air since I just teleported it into my nearly time frozen universe. I resumed time and grabbed the books. They seemed a bit shocked at the fact two strange objects suddenly appeared.
I threw them the books and they clumsily caught them. I sent a wave of intent to them.
"Figure out my language, I will come back in the future. I expect you all to figure out the language."
After that, I made my avatar vaporize and I zoomed back out. I sped up time for the galaxy by a large margin.
little bit shocked since the barrier out of my absolute power. I strengthened the barrier considerably and I noticed the unusual reactions from the barrier stopping.
Luckily I could tell nothing actually broke through the barrier. Instead there were just a few more slight reactions here and there but then it stopped completely.
in reality.
When I put time back to normal I was once again glad I found out that giving my power to things allowed me to easily find them again. I had to admit, my markers were extremely helpful.
was shocked to find that the rock I had randomly chosen to give my power to by the creatures. I could tell they were extracting huge amounts of power and it to open gates far easier and faster than before.
I suddenly realized why the barrier was acting up. Only my power could affect the barrier and since they found out the rock had strange abilities they used it on the barrier.
Luckily I only put a small amount of my power in the rock or else they might have broken through the barrier. I created my giant avatar outside of the city and I was glad that they didn''t suddenly attack me like before.
was sped up when I really increased the flow of time, usually I just saw the stars moving at different speeds around the galaxies.
After pushing that random thought away I noticed multiple creatures came out once again with their machines. I shrank my avatar and I created the floating platform. I gave power to the machines and spoke through my avatar.
"So, have you broke the language barrier?" I asked expectantly.
"Prelude the after then the when who" One of the machines said through a speaker.
"..." I kept silent after the machines spat out a bunch of nonsense.
I noticed the creatures were extremely focused on the exchange. I felt a bit of anger fill up in me. Somehow they figured out how to correctly say words but they had no idea how to use them in an actual sentence.
"You didn''t solve it after all this time?" I asked with a small hint of anger.
"Before whoever left blue barn" The machine continued to say random words.
was solved.
Speaking through intent was simply a one way communication. I gave them a sentence, they reacted to it. I couldn''t understand anything they actually said.
to be able to talk to me as well, not just me talking to them.
in reality.
portion of my power. The land shredded and a huge explosion shot out from the ground. After a few cusses I calmed down since I was really expectant on them, I calmed down and teleported myself to the platform.
The entire ground below had a massive crater and cracks through the ground. They were extremely afraid and I just looked at them and tried to figure out how to solve it.This novel''s true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.
onto the ground and teleported them back to the city. After considering practicing my power on their species to see if I could somehow figure out how to communicate or give them a way to figure out how to speak my language. I eventually decided not to test my powers on them as it would be a bit unethical.
With a slight chuckle I realized I was completely okay with wiping out their entire galaxy but not with testing my powers on living creatures.
After a brief check of the beastfolk world and making sure everything was alright. I found that the tribe of the beastfolk on another continent was growing well and I saw four distinct areas where their special children grew their own factions.
I went back to reality and decided to spend a bit of time trying to figure out how I could make it work. I had a couple of plans that would allow me to use their technology in reality so I would be able to improve my quality of life but the language gap was too big.
to be able to actually talk to them if I wanted my ideas to come to fruition.
After a bit of research I found that it would be nearly impossible to have them figure out the language without an actual link between our languages. I was really hesitating trying my powers on one of them.
The only thing I was having issues with was the fact I would be directly testing my powers with their minds, or even souls. I had never actually tried to affect the mental state of something living before.
to be more of a scientific affair. Like trying to clone an animal that didn''t exist, still within my okay range.
In my mind, changing the state of something already intelligent was like experimenting on human conciousness. Maybe some others would be able to do it but it disturbed me for some reason.
As I was sitting at my desk the dorm room opened and Dean walked in with a girl who I always assumed with his girlfriend since he usually hung out with her.
I never really remembered her name very well, it was Amy or something along those lines. Dean and the girl both looked at me like I was a ghost.
"What? Am I really that scary?" I said with sarcasm thick in my voice.
"No, it is just that I genuinely forgot you were here. Sorry about that." Dean said as he went back to normal.
whined.
little bit angry at Dean forgetting my existence. That coupled with my anger from failing to cross the language barrier made me say a line in anger.
"Alright, I will go for a few hours then. Thanks for forgetting about me Dean." I said with a bit of venom in my voice.
"Dude, I am really sorry. Here, there is a party going on in a place near here, you can go check it out. Tell them I sent you, if they don''t let you in, just tell me." Dean said as he texted me an address.
I eventually decided that there really was nowhere to go since it was rather late due to me zoning out and going in my universe for most of the day. I checked the address on my phone and went to the place.
was unmarked and seemed like a warehouse of some sorts.
However the outside was rather well hidden. I noticed two people just hanging around a door that lead into the building. I quickly found out they were guarding the entrance.
"Hey, go somewhere else." Spoke one of them.
was sent by Dean, I came because he told me about a party?" I explained.
"What is your relation to Dean?" The other one asked.
"He is my roommate" I said with a light sigh.
should be alright. Go ahead in." Spoke the first one as they opened the door.
I walked in and heard the music get louder. I noticed there was a walkway to get in. After going inside I heard the music get gradually louder as I reached another door.
Normally I was not one to really go to parties, I was more of a quiet person who enjoyed reading and playing games on the computer.
After thinking a soft ''Why did I come here'' I entered the doors and the volume of the music increased by a large amount.
There were around 100 to 150 people partying. I just kind of merged into the crowd after I closed the door. After once again contemplating what would posses me to come to a party I saw a soda container in the corner of the building.
I never really enjoyed the atmosphere at parties. Usually I would rather spend my time messing around in my universe and watching planets collide in an awesome show or read a book.
While I was just leaning against a wall near the soda container, a dude came up to me and started conversation.
Cmon man, this is a party, you can chill and enjoy a nice drink. Soda isn''t that good anyway, you need some real man drinks!" He was obviously drunk and his words .
"No thanks my guy, I am just relaxing and enjoying the vibe man." I said it in a way that made me look high.
I did this for a couple of reasons. I was obviously not doing any drugs but it was always better to act like that because no one would mess with you and let you relax in peace.
However, when you try to act normal they simply insist you drink or relax or something else along those lines. He gave me a smile and then continued.
gotchu man, have fun dude" As he wobbled away.
was drunk or high or whatever else leave you alone.
As I was considering if I should leave, a shirt suddenly caught my eye. It was a rather plain and simple shirt, showing the famous E=MC^2. Then I suddenly had an idea. Math was the one thing that would transcend language.
I had no idea how I could use it to communicate but if I showed them how my worlds math system works then at least it was something.
was grabbed by someone.
"This guy will decide! He looks sober as hell!" Yelled a very drunk person.
vibin man" I said to him.
He looked at me a bit oddly and then let me go as he continued looking around for someone to ''decide'' something. I was glad I dodged a bullet there and then quickly escaped.
I was really not one for parties I thought with a sigh. It was only around half an hour so I had to keep walking. It was around 3 am and I was a bit cautious of walking around but I didn''t want to go back to my dorm yet.
After walking for a bit in silence I suddenly saw someone rush in front of me and point a knife at me. I quickly felt a wave of fear rush over me. As I heard another person walk behind me and I felt a poke of a knife against my back.
"Give us your money and phone or I will kill you"
Chapter 9
was being mugged. In my adrenaline filled state I was unresponsive but they just repeated themselves.
"Give us your money and phone now!" Yelled the one behind me.
In my burst of fear, without a single thought I tried something I had not done before.
actual person into my universe. Due to him pointing his knife at me I quickly tried sending his entire person into my universe.
Finding out it was no different from sending inanimate objects. I felt the knife touching my back suddenly disappear. I noticed the guy in front of my look at me in shock, then he yelled.
"What the hell! What did you do?" His voice was very fearful.
He suddenly thought of something and rushed at me. I moved back but it was nowhere fast enough. I felt the knife slide into me. In a reflexive movement I grabbed him and sent him into my universe as well.
After fumbling around trying to take my phone out of my pockets and even failing a few times I finally managed to get into my pocket to get my phone.
Grabbing my phone with my intensely shaking hands, I failed to unlock my phone multiple times. I saw the emergency button so I pressed it and called 911 after a few tries.
I felt the coolness around the knife slowly going away and I could somehow feel a deep heat in the wound. I heard them pick up and I didn''t really register what they said.
"I got stabbed, please help me" I stuttered heavily saying the sentence but it was legible.
onto the ground. I just laid there and heard the police on the phone trying to talk to me hurriedly.
I moved the phone really close to my mouth and quietly said the address and then said I was laying on the ground outside.
onto the ground. For some reason I was really serene and the original fear had gone away.
I wondered what would happen, the knife was really deep inside of me. However, after paying attention to the rising heat of the wound I felt it was not really centered and more on the right side.
In my head I gave a soft sigh as I was glad I didn''t have a huge chunk of me removed from the knife. I heard the sirens and a heavy sleepiness came over me.
quite a few doctors and other people telling me to stay awake but I simply couldn''t for too long and I kept going in and out.
quite a few times in my universe and I would always wake up .
I quickly tried to go back into reality, and I felt like I hit a barrier, the universe itself seemed to rumble as I tried to go into reality. At this point I was rather freaked out since this had never happened before.
Through my entire life I had always been able to go in and out with ease. In a panic I tried to think of what last happened to me.
had been stabbed and I passed out. I quickly tried to get out of the universe a few more times but I simply couldn''t.
However, I did find that if I kept trying to force myself out of my universe. There would be intense soundless rumbling and my vision of the universe shaking, I could hear thing softly in what I assumed was reality.
quite a bit of constant effort to keep hearing so I gave up after a of trying. I was rather frightened but if I could still slightly hear things outside then it couldn''t be that bad.
beastfolk world. I also saw the village I was looking over and I saw some patching up one familiar and one not so familiar person.

Steeling myself and I noticed that they would die if I didn''t do anything. Either by infection or something else. I also found they were taking very soft breaths.
Quickly looking over the entire planet I found a small island. I teleported them to the island and then gave them my power. I had noticed long ago once I gave my power the bodies of the users would strengthen themselves through some means.
were made of pure energy given mass. It was a bit complicated to explain but rather easy to do. I was curious if I could make my body appear as an avatar.
After trying a few times and only partially completing it I finally had something click and I managed to make my human body.
an abundance of plants so the oxygen must have been far higher than earth. I quickly tried using my power on my avatar and I found that I somehow had two perspectives of myself.
One was the overview where I could see everything clearly and seemingly from the outside, then one as if the avatar was myself. It was like third and first person perspectives in games.
remain unless I took shallow breaths.
to be able to withstand the change in air concentration. I had an idea and tried to speed up time on my avatar. I was forcefully ejected out of the body and I was looking down at it from above.
was satisfied. I looked over the two people who mugged me. I went into my avatar and noticed I could easily revert my age back to normal so I did so.
Looking at them I hesitated if I should change their bodies for them. I decided that they probably wouldn''t wake up easily so after leaving my avatar I changed their bodies from the overview.
I made sure to cut off their senses as I did the changes since it was incredibly painful. I then slowly changed their bodies to adjust to the new atmosphere.
Along with that I also made sure to strengthen both their bodies and healed their injuries. While doing so I realized I could somehow do a sort of healing that would remove their diseases as well.
It was surprisingly easy and as usual the voice in the back of my head helped me know what would happen if I changed something while making the changes to their lungs and hearts. It was a very strange feeling and I didn''t really like it but since it was only helping me I went with it.
was naked so I quickly materialized some clothes.
was shocked and scrambled away after being stunned in the change in scenery. I looked at him on the ground and realized that our roles had completely changed. I had total control over the situation.
Although he was still holding his knife, it didn''t make me afraid at all. He looked at me in a bit of fear and then yelled, which woke up the one who was standing in front of me.
"Where the hell are we!? Who are you and what did you do to us!?"
universe-"
"Bullshit! Tell me what happened or I will stab you!" He yelled as he cut me off.
a combination of fear and shock. I continued speaking.
"Listen, you did this to yourself. If you didn''t try to rob me I wouldn''t have done anything to you."
"What happened?" Spoke the one in front.
young-" I continued speaking and told them my entire story.
Even including how I created the entire planet and saw the alien species. They constantly looked at me like I was crazy but kept getting shocked when I decided to show holograms, which they couldn''t tell were even holograms, that showed all the things I was talking about.
Then when I finally got to the part where I gave them power and changed their bodies they interrupted me.
"Wait, we have ''the power''? What exactly does that mean?" Asked Roy, the one who faced me when robbing me.
"Well, you can do things like telekinesis, lengthening your lifespan, doing other such things." I calmly explained.
"Why would you give us that power?" Asked John, the one who was behind me.
have a conversation with me. Try out some of your powers, I made sure you give you both a bit." I finished as I made and trees float behind me.
rather than me giving them my abilities.
Previously I simply thought of it as giving my powers to them but it was more of making themselves gain the power as it didn''t actually make my powers any weaker.
I watched them fly, destroy things, and move large portions of the ground around. They were both extremely happy. I was a bit surprised since I forced them to come into my universe and they were already getting over it so quickly.
As I was thinking I realized something, they were not immune to the ravages of time. When I sped up time on my avatar, it wasn''t really me aging any faster. It was my body aging.
to be gone I had to admit, I was a bit afraid.
I eventually decided to throw it to the back of my mind and then said "Hey, do you guys want to see the advanced civilization that conquered their entire galaxy?"
the city from my brief outburst.
I quickly noticed many of them realizing our presence and quickly bringing out machines and members of their species.
Chapter 10
As we waited I finally heard the words I was waiting for. Honestly it kind of bugged me it took them this long to say it.
"About us stabbing you and everything... Sorry" Roy finally said.
I turned away from them and a slightly evil grin appeared on my face as I spoke.
"Don''t worry about it, you can help me out with some of my problems Ihave been havingwith this civilization."
"What could we possibly help with?"
"I''ll tell you soon, I am bringing them to us." I repliedvaguely.
The moment I teleported them I didn''t instantly turn on the machines. I knewquite clearlythat the machines they had didn''t work and could only correctly say the words, not actually communicate.
I then decided to give them a bit of a scare. Even though I hid it quite well that what they did was actually not that much to me. I rememberedquite clearlywhat it felt liketo bestabbed.
After giving a smile I spoke "Well, I shall leave you with them for a bit, I will come back to pick you up later."
Quickly the two tried to talk to me but the moment I finished I vaporized my avatar. I was both, satisfied that the aliens would have a few days of actual communication with them which would ideally speed up their progress translating.
They were quite freaked out but I made sure to keep the air around them constantly supplied with oxygen and other things so they wouldn''t suffocate.
I teleported back to thebeastfolkworld and then I hesitated as I looked down on the tribe with four distinct factions. I eventually found myself lookingtowardsthe whitebeastfolkwho I had given foresight to.
As I looked over her I quickly realized something and even though I was completely invisible I gave off a weird look on my face.
While I was looking at the babies I never really paid attention and instead just focused on the genetics as a testing ground. They were furries. All of them.
The only exception was the strangely human version of thebeastfolkwhen I tried to integrate bothbeastfolkand human genes. I was a bit put off by them so I tried to ignore them.
The original two who I did my genetic testing on were long gone. Their children had long since grown up and all had children. Each creating their own line. All of them were still alive but they were now old since I had often sped up timewheneverIwas bored.
I noticed thefinalone of my experiments which I gave my power to was seemingly more powerful than the other three. The weakest by far was the ones that looked like humans but they had a strange affinity for tools and much more advanced manipulation of their fingers.
After looking around I finally went to the house of thebeastfolkwith foresight. I had done some experimenting with having abeastfolkavatar based on their biology and had created one that I thought looked cool.
As I materialized in front of the door I noticed that she was not very surprised and simply looked over at me. I then decided to try to see the future as well and I suddenly noticed that when looking into the futurewheneverI tried to focus on what I would do the future would be very unreadable.
The avatar would do countless things and made my head feel like it was on fire. I quickly stopped and then saw the femalebeastfolksmile. I gave a light sigh since I had not intended for them to become furries.
The original twotribesstill looked like walking leopards or tigers and were extremely nonhuman. Thebeastfolkin this tribe were far more humanoid and human looking than the other twotribes.
I then sent a wave of intent.
"How can we talk?"
In all honesty, I really had no expectations. Not even the advanced civilization could solve this. However, she pointed at her forehead and then gestured to herself.
After being quite confused but obviously not showing it I suddenly wondered if I could allow them to send waves of intent like I could.
I gave a smile and then tried to sense exactly how my power sent intent with the next sentence.
"You are smart"
After finding out what kind of power I was using to send intents I tried to give her the same kind and it was oddly easy. I found that there would be a sort of correctionwheneverI was doing things from the back of my mind.
Seemingly from the same area where the voice would tell me what would happenwheneverI was concentrating. I could tell she now noticed she had the strange ability and then she sent me a wave of intent.Support the creativity of authors by visiting Royal Road for this novel and more.
I had to admit, being at the receiving end of the intent I realized why most tried to kneel before me and were always frightened be seeing me.
The voice was like the voice of an angel even though I clearly knew that the language they were using was nowhere near that smooth.
"I thank the Will Of The World for the ability to respond" She spoke as she bowed her head before me.
"I must admit, youare indeedintelligent. None before you had come up with this." I replied.
The name Will Of The World wasquitea bit off but I didn''t see a need to correct them. I then noticed she was hesitating about something. I was a bit curious.
"Ask whatever it is you want to know. This is a rare opportunity." I said with a grin.
"Why do usfourtribe leaders look so much different from both, our parents and the rest of ourtribes? Also why do we have abilities completely different from others?"
"Well, that is because you were hand crafted by me. All abilities you havewere giftedfrom me to you before you were even born."
She kneeled and then said a rather surprising sentence.
"Please, take away my ability to see the future. I have suffered far too much and seen more than I ever wanted."
"Why would you want your ability to see the future taken away?"
"Every time I see something horrible no matter how much I try there is no way to stop it. I never want to witness something I cannot change."
"I see" I replied as I closed my eyes.
When I first tried to see the future and change it there was a strange compulsion to let what I saw happen. However, I was able to ignore the feeling and could easily change what I saw.
It seemed like for creatures of my universe seeing was the only thing they could do. Changing was completely impossible and what they saw would come true.
After I finished thinking of these things I took her ability to see the future away. While I was looking at her I saw herpreviouslysilver iris turn black. It was a strange transition and I thoughtthat thathadto beexplored more.
I eventually left but decided to leave her with the power of speaking through intent because why not. I was always curious to see what they would do given the power.
As I was wondering what else to do I was curious what happened after death for the creatures of this world. I went to a randomcreatureand I whispered a silent sorry and sent a lightning strike down to instantly kill it.
I tried to sense and see if anything changed about thecreatureafter it died and suddenly everything in my vision went black and white. The world was completely in black and white except there was a greenish hue around trees and plants and there was a solid yellow form around the body of thecreature.
In that moment, I wondered if that was a soul. I saw it simply dissipate after thecreaturedied and I looked for anothercreaturewhile in this strange state. I saw anothercreatureand sure enough the yellowish light around thecreaturewas not dissipating.
With the next thing I did I initially hesitated but told myself that they were just mindless animals, they would not really feel anything. I tried to move the yellowish light and the moment I touched it and tried to move it the body of the animal fell to the ground.
After taking out the light from the creatures body something strange happened. Thecreaturewas simply laying there. The body was still alive but the brain of thecreaturewas very inactive. Only doing reflexive actions that would keep it living.
I noticed the yellowish light in my invisible grasp slowly dissipating. I tried to infuse energy into it and it exploded into a fine mist and quickly disappeared.
It was quite startling. I eventually tried to create an avatar like the light. I also tried to change my vision between the soul vision and normal vision. After I made the avatar in the soul vision like the light from the previous creatures I noticed it was completely invisible with normal vision.
Going into the avatar I noticed that it didn''t really feel like my body. Any avatar I made before always felt like a pure and easy extension of me. This felt like controlling a character from a game controller.
Along with that wasthe fact thatthe avatar was instead a shadowy humanoid form that lookedsort oflike a shadow.
Granted it was still completely seamless it simply didn''t feel like a natural extension of me. It tookquitea bit of effort to create this avatar compared to the extremely easy creation of normal avatars.
After looking for anothercreatureI tried to hit it through the strange avatar. I felt the moment I hit the soul a rush of information into my head. The soulwas destroyedas my invisible and seemingly formless hand went through the soul.
Pictures ofnumerouscreatures and fighting creatures popped into strangely the head of the avatar first, then to my memories. Eventually fading away until they were gone from my memories.
Thecreatureon the ground was not alive like the previous one, instead dead. I had vague pictures of creatures fighting in my mind and it really felt like I was the one who was in the memories.
I tested onnumerouscreatures, even at one point trying to block the memories from coming to me and it was easy to stop the flow of memories.
As I was testing on creatures in my wake there was a bunch of both animal corpses and animals still alive but not reacting to anything.
The plants also had the greenish hue I tried to destroy the souls of the plants and they would die. For plants it was not obviousat first glancebut they would die and then slowly deteriorate.
Eventually I had the idea of trying to absorb the souls. I was a bit frightened at what could happen if I tried to absorb souls. I first tried on plants and I noticed the avatar growing more and more in both size.
At one point I realized that if I really tried to interact with something in the world other than souls while it took a massive amount of effort I could do it from the ''soul world'' as I named it so creatively.
I then had the idea of trying to alter the avatar from both the avatar and from my main view.
From the avatar I could slightly adjust my formto bewhatever I wanted but nothing too much. From my main view, as I expected I could change it however I wanted.
Creating what looked like something from a nightmare. The hands now had massive claws that could be pressed together to create something like a sword.
I used the avatar and rushed around destroying more plants and animals, blocking the memories. When I realized what exactly I was doing there was already a massive path of death and the avatar was extremely real and could even be slightly seen in the real world.
As I went back to my main view the avatar was simply standing there. Looking like something from a nightmare. I was a bit afraid due to me losing myself in feeling the avatar tear and absorb souls.
Then I had a frightening thought.
''What if I tried to make it alive?''
Chapter 11
I decided to pick a planet that was a lot closer to the star. I was a bit worried about the heat since I was on the sunny side of the planet and since it was tidally locked it was extremely hot.
My worries proved unnecessary because the avatar was completely immune to the immense heat and did not dissipate. I was at first troubled because I had no idea where to start when it came to giving life.
to bethe soulof the avatar.
As I slowly moved around I heard the voice in the back of my head direct me to a certain area. As I watched I realized that it had seemingly no movements whatsoever.
Seemingly curious it moved around slightly. Already walking and moving quickly with ease. It seemed like the soul was slowly dissipating as I was still watching it closely.
Eventually I tried to create a soul and it was just a mass of special energy. The soul creature''s head whipped around to the new soul I created and rushed at it.
I did many tests with it by testing just how far it could sense souls. Extremely far apparently. Instantly detecting any soul on the planet.
After making one in space it looked up into the sky. The soul crouched down and jumped. Shooting into the sky, but still being drawn back down.
I finally decided to make my avatar and attempt to communicate. I created my soul avatar and I noticed it instantly get swiped and devoured.
However, that didn''t stop it from trying it''s best to destroy the avatar. I had to constantly reinforce it and then I got impatient that it didn''t give up.
was shownthrough the creature being pushedthe ground, unable to move.
"Who are you?" I said as I spoke through intent.
It seemed to realize it had a new ability and sent a sentence back to me.
"I don''t know. Who are you?"
"I am the one who made you."
"Did you make me the food from before?"
"Yes, I was testing things out."
"What is my purpose?"
to be."
"I want more food, to become stronger, to survive."
I took the power away and made the colossal avatar disappear. It seemed quite disappointed. No way I would give it that much power.
appearinto this world.
Almost the moment I began trying I heard the voice in my head. Instead of trying to slightly resist it, I completely focused on it and tried to listen to it.The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
This time it was not even slightly quiet. It told me things that I had never even tried. Somehow telling me how to change fundamental rules of things.
I went deep into intergalactic space where there were basically no galaxies at all and I created a barrier the size of a large solar system.
Then, I tried to change the fundamental rules governing inside the barrier. Quickly, I found a massive amount of resistance and no voice, instinct, whatever, helping me.
After around half an hour I finally dismantled all the rules of the universe in the bubble. The moment I did so, something strange happened, the space gasses and light, all suddenly disappeared.
Going back out to a normal state it was basically a complete void. Then I had another idea. I tried making a soul and it didn''t instantly get destroyed from the void.
were madeof something completely different from matter since any matter I tried to create would instantly be destroyed.
I suddenly realized that before I was not willing to test on things like souls, but then I thought about how I could be stuck in here for who knows how long.
Tossing the thoughts of being stuck here for an unknown amount of time I began shaping the soul. Most souls of animals were just forms of their physical bodies and when they died their souls become more or less like a floating orb.
significantlybetter, their souls were still shaped like the bodies they lives with and were far stronger than animal souls. Even though some animals could easily kill beastfolk, in terms of souls they were completely at the mercy of beastfolk.
Shaping the soul to look human I realized that like all souls I had seen before it had no detailed features. I tried to give it specific features and found that the soul seemed just go back to the humanoid shape no matter how I tried giving detailed features.
little bitweaker than the creature I made from my avatar. I was happy to find that now I could give more detailed features.
was done, I realized I had accidentally made it look like me. I changed it up a bit, making the hair a different style, nose and mouth slightly different. Still, it looked like it could be passed off as my sibling.
the radiance ofthe soul, which wasinvisible on all souls, except for the colossal soul, started to show.
to begetting more and more real.
The glow around the soul grew and grew until it was incredibly bright. However, I tried to prevent it from growing so that instead of spreading that massive amount of power over a huge area, it was a massive amount of power in a small area.
to betwitching. I was incredibly curious so I continued funneling power. The soul began having slight movements.
much powerto a single thing before. Even stopping time simply took a bit of effort, but this soul had such a huge amount of power I had no idea what it would or even could do.
After I saw how easily it could interfere with the void I had an idea. I looked at a random solar system in a nearby galaxy and then I took note of all the rules in it.
the information ofthe laws, star, rocky planets, and a single gas giant.
However, the void was still a bit more powerful and it couldn''t completely change the rules. It also seemed to have dimmed quite a bit.
to beseen, nothing could sense me.
Then I saw it do something crazy, creating matter from nothing took a bit of effort even on my part. I saw it trying to make an entire star.
the radiance ofthe soul was nearly completely drained and even then only a large, dense cloud of gas started to form.
was regainedand even larger than before. The star was slowly created and I realized a bit of a failure on my part.
the wholeprocess. Watching intently as it continued creating the star, then the planets, and a lone gas giant, it finally hit the barrier of the void.
Carefully moving over to the edge that completely blocked the outside universe to this one, it touched the barrier and then sent a fist at it.
When it hit the barrier, nothing happened, no movement, as if nothing happened. It quickly gave up after seeing this and a few more punches.
Seeing it adjust the planets to orbit correctly and do other such things I just realized something.
''Did I just create a god?''
Chapter 12
significantly easier.
on it''s own soul power.
was stunned since it really was like a god, the only thing was that I was the one who supercharged it. I decided to see what else it would do.
Quickly after it finished it was just looking at itself and then I watched in shock as it tore a piece of its soul out of it. I recharged the soul and watched as it closely observed the dissipating chunk that it ripped out.
Then it tried creating a soul. It''s soul quickly wavered and the immense radiance instantly faded and it quickly ran out of soul power.
partially a soul. I eventually decided to once again charge the soul as I wanted to see what it could do.
I hated to admit it, but the soul was actually better than me at creating things so I wanted to see what else it would do so I could learn from it.
soul power back into the soul. It was a strange experience, to me it felt like me charging a battery and it was rather easy.
creature I left on the planet in the solar system.
To slowly gain enough power to do what the soul did with my support would be nearly impossible. Just making a single planet would easily exhaust the power of the soul if they didn''t rely on any help.
much power to anything before, I could tell that it was possible.
many different things and each time it did it used an absurd amount of energy so I kept powering it up.
was torn between a normal name or something like ''Creator''.
Honestly, it was far more entertaining to watch and interfere occasionally instead of be revered and have to worry about other things.
In the end, I decided that I might as well give him a grand name. I sent a single sentence, with this experiment, I wanted to interfere as little as possible.
"You are Creator"
Creator stopped and looked around in a flash. He quickly used a large amount of power just to try to see anything around him.
Seemingly wanting to see me I decided to stop watching and speed up time. I focused on the bubble and sped up time in it.
whenever he got low.
Since I made the battery absolutely massive I could tell when it got low and would only periodically have to charge it back up.
previous bubble.
I was curious what would happen if I tried make a sort of assistant for myself. They could help find out ways to better use my powers or even find completely new powers.
just in case.
For the test I was about to do, there would be little holding back and if I didn''t want to pay full attention to it making the barrier extremely strong was necessary. I created the soul and didn''t hold back.
was confused and looked around.
I created a soul avatar with power linked to double whatever her power was. I used my power and just as I was about to send a sentence I slapped my head while controlling the avatar and I thought about how dumb I was.Support the creativity of authors by visiting Royal Road for this novel and more.
beastfolk a while back they advanced language, why couldn''t I just copy the English language into her.
She was simply staring at me and not doing anything, just observing me. I sent my understanding of the English language and she seemed surprised.
Then she spoke. It was a strange experience, talking through the soul.
"Hello?"
"Hello, how are you?"
"I... Think I am good."
"That''s good, do you have any questions?"
"Who am I?"
"An experiment."
to be direct with it.
"I see... what am I?"
currently a soul, I gave you life to me."
"Oh... Why should I help you?"
"Honestly, you have no say. I have complete control here and I need help testing things. I can say that if you agree I will give you many benefits though."
"Such as?"
"Well, when I show you life, you can create your own planet and fill it with whatever life you want and treat it however you wish. Power is pointless, in here, you will have all of it."
"You say in here? Does that mean there is more out there?"
I paused for a second. It was a slight error in my words but she picked it up instantly.
"Yes, this is an incredibly small part of what is out there. You will find out much if you agree."
She went silent and seemed to think about it. In all honesty, I really didn''t want to create another soul since I didn''t really know how else to convince them. Luckily, my worries were not realized.
"Alright. I don''t know much, but I will help you in return for knowledge."
"Thank you."
beastfolk and my experiments testing with their genetic code. Her eyes seemed to light up.
"Is that life?"
"Yes."
"Why are they different from us?"
currently completely different types of beings. I will give you a body to experiment on."
"Thank you."
I created an avatar and then gave it to her. She was already easily double the power of the Creator at his peak when I charged him up.
She quickly took the body and seemed to try touching it at first but then realized she could only affect it when she used her soul power.
whenever you need it. All I want you to do in the time when I am gone is experiment with life. Organize a report showing your results. You can do whatever you wish in here."
"Wait... Where are you going?"
making a sentient soul."
Using my new information transmission ability I sent her when and how I figured out the differences between souls and making them sentient.
"Thank you."
my own gain, however, do whatever you want here. Just show me results when I come back."
was worried she would try to break through.
I had giving her a lot of knowledge, let her have access to a huge amount of power, and was going to leave her alone for the time being.
Speeding up time in her bubble I made it so it was not too fast but definitely not slow. I was eager to see results but I didn''t want the battery to die out every few minutes.
Making the battery in the bubble even stronger than Creator''s. I then left to go check Creator, his battery had gone down to about half. In the sped up time I was curious how long had passed.
was shocked to find a planet that had buildings all across it. There rock people walking around.
Looking at their souls was very interesting, it seemed like the rocks were held together by their soul. There were a few that had a very strong soul that made their bodies stronger than others.
Creator was actually in a temple of sorts. He had created a rock body for himself but it was more of a metal body. It seemed like he already figured out that metal was stronger than rock and his body was very sleek.
After taking another look he looked like a robot. I noticed the rock people were walking around instead of worshiping him but he was sitting on top of a massive altar.
was shocked when I suddenly felt the battery in the barrier rapidly drain.
Just as it was about to empty out I recharged it. I slowed time and saw crazy things. The rock people were doing what could only be explained as magic.
to be an invisible bubble around the planet that had a strange energy in it.
I could tell the energy was not soul energy but was somehow connected to it. Watching the rock people fighting closely it seemed like they were controlling the energy and it would do wondrous feats.
Looking for Creator I found him in the center of the planet, he was constantly emitting energy and then I noticed it. The energy was actually slowly dissipating and he was constantly recharging the energy.
Deciding to create a rock person avatar I found a very desolate area and then materialized it. This was a mistake. Almost instantly I felt the energy react to the sudden appearance and I could tell Creator was rushing to the avatar.
Quickly dematerializing the rock avatar I saw Creator look around where the avatar was. The energy was starting to become thinner so I decided to help a bit.
was stunned to find that it was extremely easy to control with thoughts. It seemed like it was a type of soul energy that had its purpose changed.
Trying to copy it I felt the voice once again give me some help and I quickly mastered it. Making the entire solar system filled with the same energy it was obvious that Creator would notice.
He looked around and tried to sense me through the energy but it was pointless. I was rather excited about this new type of energy that seemed to react easily to thoughts.
I went back to the other bubble and I was thinking about how the female assistant soul I created should have a name. I was ready to do some experiments with her to figure out this new energy.
Chapter 13
After slowing time back to a normal level and going into the bubble,Iwas shockedto find a massive planet with greenery sprawling all over. Just from the 1/3rd of the planet I could see there seemedto beno oceans but lakes all over.
Zooming into the planet there were colossal trees that seemed to house beings in them. Closer inspection made a single word appear in my head.
''Elves''
They really looked like elves, they seemedto beone with nature, all looked rather feminine, and had animals fawning over them.
The only difference was that they didn''t have long ears, their ears were instead around the size of a normal humans yet they had pointy tips. If they were longer, they would be the exact definition of elves.
Looking for the assistant soul I found her in a building inside of a massive tree that was easily the tallest thing on the planet. Seemingly as high as skyscrapers from reality.
She made an avatar similar to the ''elves'' and I had to admit, she was very beautiful. Sadly, I simply ignored it and I materialized an ''elf'' avatar for myself.
Quickly turning her head she looked at me for a second before giving a smile and then replied to me.
"Hello, I have waitedquitea long time to see you. What do you think?"
"It''s pretty good, the elves really live up to the name, do they have long lifespans though?"
"Elves?"
"Oh, yeah, the people you made are elves in my opinion."
"What is an elf?"
As she asked this her eyes lit up a bit and she seemed quite curious.
"Well, they live long, easily hundreds of years and sometimes are even immortal. They also are usually friends of nature and animals, generally a bit more on the feminine side. They also have long ears."
"Long ears? Why?"
"Well..."
I stopped because I really didn''t have a good answer for that. Why the did elves have long ears? Better hearing?
"I am not entirely sure myselfto behonest, it is just one of their trademarks."
"I see."
Well, the elves would probably be staying on this planet so it didn''t really matter. I decided to get to business.
"Do you have a name?"
"Not one that I have accepted."
"So youare callednames you do not accept?"
"Yes, the elves of this world call me the Goddess."
"I see, what do you think of Amy?"
"If you give me the name then it is the one I will accept. So, why else did you come? I doubt you came just to give me a name?"
Right after she said that, I covered the room in the energy and she was instantly curious. Afternumeroustests I found that while I could effortlessly move the energy, it was extremely difficult for anyone else to do so.
Amy brought in a few elves and they tried but they could only move a slight amount after a large amount of effort. We also discovered that it hadquitea good effect on the souls of creatures.
While I had initially called it magic, it was morea variant ofsoulpower that anything with a soul could absorb slowly with effort. This was proven through even trees gradually having their incredibly faint soul nourished.
Getting a bit impatient with the plants, I manually moved a massive amount of the energy into the plants and their soul became more and more powerful.
Eventually, one of the tests on the plants lead to a sentient plant. It had takenquitea bit of energy but it did happen and the plant was able to communicate through intent.
Giving more soul energy to the souls allowed them to do the things I saw the rock people do. At first I thought that they used the energy itself to do impossible things like shooting blades of wind, fire, water, and even earth.
It was an amazing discovery and I was rather excited to see what else it wouldreveal. Eventually, I created a barrier in space while having Amy watch the inside as well.
I made 3 avatars in the barrier, one of them was just a plain fleshy body. The second was one that was lightly nourished with the energy that seemed to enhance souls. The last was extremely nourished and when I was in it for testing it was rather easy to use the energy.A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
Speeding up time in the barrier resulted in the energy whichwas infusedwith the soul to gradually lower but the shocking thing was that the bodies with the enhanced soul lastedmuch longerin the sped up time than the one without any.
It seemed like the more energy absorbed the longer the lifespan of the being that was absorbing the energy. This was also true with plants after another test.
Realizing it was shockingly like the energy in the cultivation novels I had readin realitya few times I decided to just call it Divine Energy. The reason was that only beings with huge amounts ofsoulpower could create it and it was a horrible ratio.
For example, if you created one unit of Divine Energy it would easily take a thousand to a hundred thousand units of soul energy to create it.
There were also no benefits to making the Divine Energy after testing it a few times. I could easily make the energy more dense so during the tests I made the energy extremely dense.
At one point I noticed that it was possible to solidify the Divine Energy into what looked like stones. It was quite easy to absorb the energy from the stone and after it was empty it would turn to dust and disappear.
I wanted to see the limit to the amount of Divine Energy that could be forced into one point and after compressing it to an insane degree, the stone seemed to slowly change colors and it was emitting light. The more energy after that point simply made it more and more bright of colors.
Making my vision go deep into the stone it seemed like the Divine Energy took light and would tear it apart, it was a very interesting event.
After finding out all this I was very curious to see how powerful acreaturecould get so I created another avatar. Amy suggested that instead of forcing the energy it would bring more results if I used the avatar to absorb the energy to see the different levels of energy.
Since it made perfect sense I went into my avatar and I kept making the Divine Energy and then absorbing it right after.
I found that it was not really my soul going into the avatar but instead a fake soul thatwas connectedto minewas createdin the avatar and when I left the avatar the soul would dissipate instantly.
After absorbing the rich Divine Energy I created all around the avatar at a constant pace, I felt something in my body rumble and I could feel my body changing.
Waiting it out it seemed like the avatar grew stronger and more durable. Instead of just enhancing the soul the Divine Energy also made the body a bit stronger. This also gave me an idea. I paused the test and created another avatar.
For this avatar, I instead absorbed the Divine Energy into the body of the avatar and not the soul. Instead of the gradual changes of the soul the body of the avatar quickly became much stronger.
It seemed possible that the Divine Energy didn''t just haveto besoulenhancing but could also be body enhancing. After passing the first barrier it resulted in the soul in the avatar growing stronger.
After absorbing a lot more and increasing the pacequitea few times there were exactly 99 ''barriers'' and right afterwards when I tried to absorb the Divine Energy more it seemed like the next barrier prevented the body from absorbing it.
Doing the same thing on the avatar that focused on the soul once again, after the 99 barrier it seemed like there was a hard limit. I even tried to force energy into the soul bit it quickly dissipated it.
For reference, the 99 barrier soul enhanced avatar was easily stronger than Amy and could easily destroy a planet effortlessly. Through multiple tests the body enhanced avatar could even survive in the core of a star, destroying a planet was effortless as well.
I was rather satisfied with the results and then Amy asked me a question.
"So, why do these tests?"
"How else can we figure out how things work?"
"Don''t you just know?"
"Nope, I have no clue how things work, why would I do the tests if I knew? It would be a total waste of time."
"But... You can easily do things like create entire solar systems effortlessly, creating beings like me is as easy as breathing. How can you do this?"
"Dunno."
After I said that, she just looked at me and sighed. We also tried to have Amy absorb the Divine Energy but it seemed like although she could manipulate it far easier than any other sentient being, her soul and body would reject it.
It was arather interesting discovery and I let out a sigh as I wondered how Creator figured out how to make such an incredible energy.
This was one of the main reasons the moment Creator found my rock person avatar, I quickly disappeared. I wanted himto beuntainted by me and he would find out things I didn''t even think of.
I eventually went back to Amy''s ''house''. It was an incredible placeto besince it was completelymade out ofa tree easily the size of a skyscraper.
It seemed like it was her nature to value life and I supposed it made sense. When I showed her life shewas interestedand even ended up making a species based on valuing all types of life.
She seemed to make the tree grow a sort of fruit and I was rather curious about it. She handed me one and then spoke.
"Try it, the fruit is one of the most valued fruits in this world."
I looked at it and took a second toexamineit. The fruit itself was an apple sized had a circular shape with an orange outside, the skin of the fruit was slightly hairy.
Taking a bite into the fruit, it felt like biting into an apple and it was extremely tasty. I normally ignored things like hunger and sleep in my universe since I saw no real need for it but the fruit itself was extremely good.
Eventually, I realized that I could eat any food I wanted. I was quite excited at this fact since there were quite a few delicious foods I wanted to try.
Quickly making asteakin front of me, Amy''s eyes lit up at the new food and then she quickly asked a question.
"Can I have one too?"
Nodding and materializing another steakontoa plate in front of her and instead of eating it she started usingsoulpower toexamineit. I chuckled and realized anything new she much be extremely curious about.
I took a bite of thesteakand it was nothing like what I imagined. It occurred to me at that moment that simply making something like a solid rock was extremely easy, making a super combination of things for a perfect steak was completely out of my scope of knowledge.
Amy also realized that thesteakwas a bit off but kept observing it. I then put the steak down and let out a sigh. Making an entire galaxy was a cakewalk for me and only took a bit of effort but I couldn''t make a single steak.
"Don''t bother with it Amy, it isn''t what I wanted."
She gave a soft "Oh" and then put it down and tried it before putting it down like I did.
I had to admit, I was quite disappointed but then I realized this was a world full of animals that could probably have good meat in them.
Quickly getting excited again I stood up and striked a pose, I turned to Amy and spoke with passion in my voice.
"Amy! Let''s go get us some meat!"
Chapter 14
Amy looked at me with a blank look on her face before she fiercely reacted and yelled.
"No! Meat is bad!"
"Why? Meat is delicious?"
"That is such a horrible reason! You want to end an innocent life simply because you want to eat something delicious?"
"Yes."
In my mind, it wasn''t anything much. In reality after all, we had factories that their sole purpose was making meat and other such things.
She looked at me with anger and disgust. I didn''t really mind that much. I quickly ran out of the tree and Amy chased me. Yelling at me and calling me all manners of names.
Running past many animals I couldn''t find one that I thought would have some good food. Quite a few of the elves looked at me curiously but when they saw Amy chasing me they quickly made way.
While I was running a lot of thoughts ran through my head. I hadto behonest, I was quite lonely earlier since there was no one I could really talk to.
It would be quite simple to instantly kill a bunch of creatures and take them but I was having a good time running around. Itwas more or lessa way of relaxing after a bunch of tests.
After going throughquitea bit of forest, I found it, thecreatureI was looking for. It looked like a cow and was in a large group with other membersof it''s species.
Amy finally used her powers to warp in front of the animals and then yelled once again.
"Stop! All life on this planetis sacred!"
"I want somemeatAmy."
I had already given up in my head since I didn''t want to make Amy too mad since she helped mequitea bit with testing and figuring out things related to Divine Energy.
Standing in a stance I lunged at one of the animals and Amy jumped at me. We both went tumbling away from the animals.
I jumped up and she grabbed my leg, tripping me. I was havingquitea good time before she finally just grappledontomy leg and then pleaded with me.
"Please! Don''t do anything to the animals! What did they do to you?"
"Okay."
"No!I-Wait, what?"
She seemed a bit confused about how quickly I agreed. I gave a grin and then spoke with a smile.
"I won''t eat any of the animals if I can get other types of good food."
"Deal!"
She said as she stood up. I had to admit, that was easily the most fun I ever had in my universe. It was usually just me coldly watching how things folded out and then adjusting things to entertain me.
After all, having fun and being entertained are completely different things. It was entertaining to watch planets collide and stars explode but it was not very fun.
While it was just a quick little event it was really something that made me a bit happier and I was glad of how it went.
It was good to let go of the fact that I had absolute power of what happened in my universe and just enjoy it for a while.
Amy gave me many foods thatwere made by theelves and I had to admit, they were all really good. I was rather curious about how Amy managed to get only kind and loving elves.
Given enough of a population, theremust besome variants that would have liked meat or been rude but I had not seen a single rude elf or one that has even talked about meat.
While we were eating I decided to ask about the elves.
"Hey Amy, how did you only get nice elves?"
"I put it into their souls."
"How? After they have children wouldn''t it only stay on the parent?"
"Well, soulsare formedthrough the reaction between two souls during intercourse right?"
"Uh... Yeah, of course."
"..."
"What? I never looked that deep into how soulsare madenaturally."
"Well the moment life connects there is a reaction which made a soul."
"Oh, neat. Continue."
"I made it so that their souls have asort of... permanent lingering effect on them that causes themto benice. Following any section of their soul, including duringthe formation ofa new soul."If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it.
I could tell she tried to make it sound better than it really was. To put it simply, it was a sort of binding effect on the soul that would be able to follow during birth.
Hearing that it gave me an idea. What if I used that sort of binding effect to create a sort of soul contract, it would be able to destroy the soul if they tried anything against the binding effect.
This would bring aboutmany differentpossibilities and I was curious about just how it would work but I then thought about testing it with Amy and I quickly realized a problem.
Knowing that Amy valued life quite highly I decided to go test it alone instead of with her. Then I asked her to show me how to apply it she showed me and explained it in detail.
The more I heard the more confident I was that it would be possible to make a soul contract. I put it in the back of my mind and decided to test it later.
I also felt that Creator''s battery was getting low even though time was still slowed down. I eventually decided that I would go check it out since I wanted to know how he was using that much energy.
Giving a brief goodbye I didn''t speed up time and instead let it stay at a normal pace. Going to Creator''s barrier I found him and noticed he was experimenting with the stones of Divine Energy.
Realizing he would just befollowing thesame steps me and Amy went through to eventually reach the end of the multicolored glowing stone, I left him alone after charging the battery in the barrier.
I went over to thebeastfolkworld but since I had not sped up time there was not much happening. Speeding up time slightly I quickly stopped when I noticed the twotribesbattling.
It was rather shocking since they tended to value members of their speciesquitehighly so I watched from above. They only had sticks and stones that they used as weapons.
GettingboredI went to check on the four factions on the other continent of thebeastfolkworld I noticed that the humans had separated and now there were only three factions. Zooming out to look for them I found themquitea distance away.
Compared to the twotribeswhich split they were easily ten to eleven times as far as they were to each other. They had already rebuilt a small village along with a temple at the highest point.
Looking inside the temple there was stillbeastfolkdrawings and displayed me as a greatbeastfolk. I felt a bit bad for the humans after realizing they were in a world which respectedbeastfolkand not humans.
I decided to give the humans some help since they were basically going against walking tigers that couldquiteeasily bend metal and tear them apart.
It wasquiteeasy to tell they eventually they would split into different cultures and seeing someone not of their species would set them off quite a bit.
Finding the leader I sent them a single image. It was a fire withnumerousrocks above it, one of them melted and fell into the lava. It was just a small hint but would lead to them eventually figuring out how to melt metal if they came up with hot enough flames.
As I was watching over them I remembered the house I created long ago. Well, it seemed like long ago but it really wasn''t that long ago.
Going over to the strangely flat planet I looked over the items that I brought over from reality. A book and a computer. The computerwas repairedwhen I reversed time on it.
Looking at the book and computer it made me realize that I never really relaxed in my universe. It was always me figuring out something or making worlds or testing stuff.
After that I simply zoomed over to a random galaxy and I just watched it for a bit. I was always busy and I never really relaxed and I wanted to make a place where I could just relax.
Thinking that a planet would be nice since I would be able to just sit and enjoy the peace I willed myself to the different solar systems to check out planets.
After going to a few Iwas surprisedto find water on the surface of one. Looking closely from the surface of the planet I found that it was a truly amazing view.
I decided that this time I would just be lazy andtry outsoul binding on a few souls. Making a beach chair anda avatarI sat on the chair and decided to get to work.
When making my avatar I made sure to make it basically invincible since I didn''t want anything to really disturb me like actually having to breath. Instead of having organs and other such things it was more of a solid metal avatar.
Luckily it was easy once I took it over and the avatar was easily moveable and it was like a normal body but without any discomfort.
Then I created a female humanoid soul but instead of giving it enough power to do whatever it wantedwith it''s ownstrength, I granted ita portion ofmy powers.
Focusing on my abilities to teleport and create I found that it was rather easy. Quickly the soul seemed to have a sort of change but I couldn''t really tell exactly what it was.
Thinking that I really had to figure out what changed in a soul when I gave my powers I decided that it was of low importance and it didn''t have to interrupt what I was doing.
Using the soul binding I made it totally loyal to me along with wanting to follow my orders. While I was doing it I realized that I was losing my restraint to let souls be and not interfere with sentient things.
Deciding just to let it go I created a human body but made it strong enough to withstand even space and super hot or cold climates.
I wanted the bodyto beable to literally survive being thrown from space at a planet and still survive. The plan was that it would be able to help me or even pass on my messages without any threat to itself.
Realizing I was staring at it since I made the body a female body I materialized clothesmade out ofan absurdly strong cloth. Putting the soul into the body I noticed she was just looking at me.
Sending her english through intent she then spoke.
"Hello master, is there anything you want?"
I was a bit confused at her calling me master but then after a brief pause I thought that it made sense.
"I am a bit thirsty, can you make me something to drink?"
"Well..."
Quickly noticing the problem I also realizing that I couldn''t materialize food either, drinks other than water were quite difficult as well. Then I had an idea.
"I''ll send you to someone who help make these things and teach you things."
"Thank you."
I teleported her to where Amy was and then I tried speeding up time from a distance. I found that I could tell that itwas spedup and I waited a few seconds in the sped up time.
Sending a line of intent telling her to come to me and then wondering if she would be able to hear it and instantly she appeared in front of me. Slowing time back to a normal rate after she appeared.
"Hello master. What is it you want?"
"Something to drink."
"Understood."
She created a table and a cup with what appearedto bejuice in it. I took it and drank it and I had to admit, it was quite good.
Giving a smile I suddenly realized a problem.
"I have to stop forgetting to give names. Do you have any name you want?"
"Whatever master picks is what I will go with."
"What do you think of Rose?"
"I think it is a perfect name."
"Alright, I am good for a bit, go do whatever you wish."
"Understood."
Rose disappeared and I was curious what she was doing but I decided that I would just sit here, enjoy some juice and relax.
Chapter 15
Rose disappeared and then teleported into the depths of space. Shepreviouslyhad a warm and kind smile on her face when she was facing her creator.
To her, he was her everything. Every ordermust befilled to perfection. Now, since he was relaxing it gave her space to do what she wanted.
Teleporting to a barren planet she used her powers given to her by her creator, a massive temple emerged. On it, two eyes looked down on a sphere with galaxies in it.
When she was learning from Amy she saw how soulswere madeartificiallyand how to bind orders and other things to souls.
Creating a single soul using her powers she knew from the moment she first used her powers that they were different from Amy''s, her powers were given to her by a greater power and she had no limitations.
The soul was a very powerful soul but not strong enough to do anythingon it''s own. Then making a binding on the soulto betotally andpermanentlyloyal to her.
Even the thought ofbetrayingwould be impossible due to how intensely and deep she forced the binding into the soul. Along with the binding she implanted english into the soul as well.
Then she made a body whichwas madeof incredibly strong metal and then she infused the metal with Divine Energy so it would be even stronger.
However, the body was a bit strange, instead of a normal face they had a blank face with nodiscerniblefeatures. The face had a larger concentration of Divine Energy than the rest of the body so it would be possible to change the face of the body.
After making the body she put on nearly indestructible clothes that were black robes with a pair of eyes on the front chest area. Then merging the soul with the body it opened it''s eyes and then stared at Rose. She simply said one line.
"We serve the all-mighty creator. He resides above all others. We work in the shadows andeliminateanything that would be an annoyance to him. You are 1."
Then she continued making more people and said the lineover and over again, but not once did a look of boredom or annoyance come across her face. Increasing the number by one each time. Only an emotionless expression was left on her face during the entire process.
After creating exactly a thousand beings with exactly the same blank face and black robes with a pair of eyes on the front, she stopped and then went upontothe stairs and spoke to all of them at once.
"We will find and watch over anything the creator had graced with his powers or has his eye on from the darkness. Anything thatinconvenienceshim we will destroy."
After that she brought them all in and then tried something that she had experimented with when she was with Amy. She tried to sense links to her power and found that she was able to tell multiple locations across the universe.
Going out one day she realized that Amy was in a barrier and seemingly had no idea what was beyond but Rose didn''t tell her. In her mind, if he didn''t tell her anything, then it was for a reason.
After going out of the barrier she saw countless galaxies. Then she found a similar barrier near Amy''s and it had another being who instantly detected her.
She was trying to hide herself so she could look around but she realized he followed her wherever she went. Only getting away by teleporting.
After going out of the barrier she found multiple sources of his power on a planet. After going there she realized the power was much weaker but it wasnumerousintelligent beings.
The beings looked like animals and ate meat. Amy had told her multiple times about how all lifewas sacredandshould beprotected but in Rose''s mind the only important thing was his orders.
Watching them kill animals and even fight each other caused no change to her face and she watched them allemotionlessly. Making note of the planet and the beings who had his power.
Then she went to the next source. It was a stone along with two people who were given his power as well. They were seemingly being praised bynumerousother creatures butthey themselveswere humans.
She took note of them as well as the stone whichwas being usedby the creatures as a sort of power source.
After that, she went to another one and almost instantly she felt a wave of pressure come over her. It was stifling and it caused her to be fearful. Amy''s face hardened and she tried to look for the source but realized it was nothing.
Confused, she used soul vision and instantly was overwhelmed. She was in space yet half of the planet she was looking at was covered in shadow. Yet when she looked closely it was not shadows and instead souls whirling around like a hurricane.
Looking into the center she saw strangely black eyes that seemed to penetrate the shadows and she could tell it was looking at her. She had never felt fear before yet the moment she saw the eyes of the monster she quickly teleported away.
However, even after going a few solar systems away she could tell it was still locked onto her. She felt like she was choking so she teleported into another galaxy and sighed in relief as she felt the locked gaze disappear.
She thought that whatever that was, it was something dangerous and to be avoided, even with her power it felt like the monster would still be able to kill her.Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator.
Calming down after a few breaths she began searching for another source. However, even after looking around closely there seemed to be none left but she kept looking.
Then she detected a very faint remnant of his power. It was much fainter than any of the other sources and she could only tell of its existence after trying to see if there was anything hidden.
After teleporting she found a barren planet with a single house. As she entered the house she saw completely foreign objects. Looking at one of them she could feel his power over it but it was very faint.
Looking closely and gently picking up the objects it was strange but she realized that opening one of them she saw english words. She read them and found itto becompletely confusing.
Reading further simply confused her more and more. It had strange references to things she had no idea about. Putting the object down and looking at the next one which hadremnantsof his power.
After gently opening it she found letters on the bottom and after gently touching them she found it was easy to click and it made a noise.
Testing them all at once point the front suddenly lit up and shewas shocked. After waiting a bit and seeing it change it was finally stopped at a screen.
Looking closely she found it asked for a password. She didn''t know and didn''t risk it, pressing the button that started it resulted in it turning off.
Putting it back exactly where it was before she finally left. Going back to the temple she made she found the people she made simply idling. Going to the closest ones she gave them orders to watch over every place where his power was.
She gave them an object that would send an alert to another object in her hand. The object she gave away was simply like a rock while the one she kept had countless colors.
The only exception was the house since it would be extremely hard to hide anywhere near there due to the lack of other celestial objects.
Then she decided that she would go talk to Amy until shewas needed. She longed for when she heard his call. Previously when she did it was like an explosion in her head that overpowered everything else.
[PovChange]
Amywas createdlong ago, when she awoke she saw somethingsimilar toherself. He told her amazing things about life, other intelligent beings, and even gave her a body to work with.
She did remember being called an experiment but she didn''t really mind that much given her freedom.initiallyshewas worriedhe would stop her from doing whatever she wanted but he let her do anything and simply disappeared.
Experimenting with countless types of life. Eventually, she discovered another type of life where it would be a plant instead of an animal.
Creating a planet and filling it with all of her life. Shewas shockedto find them fighting each other and when she saw the bloody remains of animals she felt sick.
Taking her life and doingrigorousexperimentson it''s bodyto change personality resulted in very little change, there were still outliers.
After switching to the soul instead of the body she found a way to make a sort of binding effect on the soul that would make them kind and as life loving as her.
Giving nearly every soul on the planet the same type of binding effect took some time and effort but eventually she finished.
The new society of the beings was far better to her. Animals and intelligent beings lived together in harmony.Wheneveran animal did die, they would host a very respectable funeral for the passing of the animal.
When the first intelligent being died she realized that they would die just like animals. She experimented with extending the lifespan and she eventually found if the soul was strong than the body would live longer but only to an extent.
Switching from the soul to the body resulted in far longer lifespans. Modifying the body more and more she eventually took a more plant approach and they would live for a few thousand years.
She was very happy and held a grand funeral for her intelligent beings since they were taking care of the planet. Then she switched all intelligent beings to the new body which gave them far longer lives in exchange for fertility.
It seemed like an impossible side effect, their bodies would make it extremely difficult to reproduce, but since their lives were so long, it seemed alright.
Along with that she decided that they needed some sort of protection against the elements so she modified trees to give them a way to live comfortably. Massive trees quickly covered the entire planet and they were hollow with ''floors''.
Then they would be able to do anything they wanted inside the tree to fit their needs. There were typically around 5 floors in a normal tree.
After that she made the tree she would live in, giving it constant amounts of power which resulted in it growing crazily tall, with 40 floors total it was a sight to see from miles away.
Then one day he came back, giving the intelligent beings she made a name. Elves. For some reason she liked the name but she couldn''t get her head around why they would have long ears.
He came with a fantastic energy. When the energywas usedto infuse the either the body or the soul, it would change the lifespan of anything with a soul immensely.
Even plants seemed to have this effect but even more exaggerated. They could life for nearly a hundred thousand years after just alittle bitof energy infused into their souls or bodies.
It was an incredible energy and she was absolutely stunned at how he could even discover it. Seemingly likea variant ofsoul energy yet too differentto beput under the samecategoryhe gave it the name of ''Divine Energy''.
Along with the name there was also the discovery the after theinitiallyinfusing of energy there would bedrasticallydifferent results.
When the soulwas saturatedand infused with the Divine Energy it would let the user have access tonumerousabilities,telekinesis, changing the temperature, and many more.
When the bodywas saturatedand infused with Divine Energy it would let the user have a nearlyindestructiblebody, easily being able to withstand far more than possible.
It seemed with either route would seal off the other and slowly reinforce the other. Infusing the soul would slowly increasethe durability ofthe body and vice versa.
It was a bit shocking but he seemed confused about the food before eating it carefully and then seemed like he had an idea.
Right before he left he said he wanted meat and it shocked me. Luckily he didn''t use his powers or else I knew he would have easily done it without regard for my opinion.
When he finally reached animals I used my powers to warp in front of them to stop him. After begging him to stop he quite easily decided not to in return for good food.
Giving him the best foods resulted in him being satisfied and then he seemedto bethinking for a bit before he left.
After he left another being came. She was very... strange. Never called herself by any name and said that she didn''t have any name.
Having an emotionless look on her face that was a bit disturbing. More often than not she would murmur things and then have a smile on her face.
She wanted to learn how to make good food. It was very strange but then she showed one of her abilities. It was creation, but through an entirely different mean than her own.
Along with that she seemed to have another method of teleportation that resulted in her having unrestricted teleportation.
Amy did eventually show her the Divine Energy but she only seemed slightly interested. What she was very interested in was the binding effect on the souls.
After a bit of hesitation eventually Amy showed her how to do it and she was very happy. Afterwards she simply left without a word.
Announcement and Chapter 16
Dean stood next to the bed. He had come a few times and each time he was prettyheavy heartedwhen he saw Jason. His body seemedto befine and healed rather well in the past month but he was not waking up.
Luckily the doctors said that his brain was still especially active and nothing was wrong with his mind. In theory he should wake up anytime but for some reason he wasn''t.
Eventually after just looking at him for a bit he left. Shortly after a man wearing a suit entered the room.
After looking hesitantly around the room he took out a phone and took pictures of Jason. After that, he took out a small needle and took blood from Jason.
Then he left the room, his phone startedringing, he quickly answered it once he saw the name on the phone.
"Sir, there is nothing off about him, he seems like a normal kid."
"No matter if he is normal or not just make sure you have done what youwere taskedto do."
"Sir, with all due respect, why do we need the blood of someone in a coma?"
"Head back here with his blood, and you know what happens when you question orders."
"Yes sir"
The man said firmly before he put down his phone with a light sigh.
After getting into a car and driving away he eventually entered a hospital. After showing his ID a nurse took him to a door and then simply left.
Entering the room showed that it was actually not a room at all and instead a strange room with a door with an ID andeyescanner.
Taking out a different ID that was pure black and putting it into the slot and putting his eye near the scanner the door opened making no sound while doing so.
Putting his ID back into his pocket after going through the door he pressed a button and the elevator went downsoundlessly.
Eventually, the door opened at a new floor and a man was waiting for him. Taking out the syringefromhis pocket and handing it to the man he grabbed a person walking around and spoke to him.
"You, bring this to Room 16 as soon as possible."This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work.
"Yes sir."
"Dave, follow me."
"Yes sir."
As Dave followed him silently they passedquitea few rooms and eventually entered a room with a bunch of people in it.
Closing the door Dave stood behind the man he followed instead of sitting down.
"Is this the one who you will assign to him?"
"Yes, he is young enough to pass as an older student."
While Dave had a brief look of confusion he quickly covered it up.
"Dave, look at this"
The man handed him a tablet with an opened file on it. Taking it and reading the title itwas labelled''Anomaly34946''.
A video was shown at the top, playing it had no sound but it showed the man who he took blood from earlier. Without showing any reaction to that he quickly had a stunned look on his face.
The man who was behind him suddenly disappeared. No flash of light, no strange warping of space or vision. Just silent disappearance.
Then the one standing in front of him rushed at him and stabbed him, then he too disappeared just like the previous man behind him.
Clearly shaken, the man quickly fumbled with his phone and failed a few times to open it. After calling a number he spoke one sentence before fallingontothe ground.
After that, the video ended and Dave looked up to everyone looking at him expectantly. Clearing his throat he spoke clearly.
"This is strange and deserves observation." Dave said lightly.
"We thought the same thing, the real question is, where did those two go? Looking throughmanydatabases and even questioning other countries we found that they simply disappeared." Spoke one of the men at the table.
"How?" Dave asked as he was very curious.
"That is the question isn''t it?" Another one said with a sigh.
"Hopefully, his blood will show something interesting, but after we looked at his brain scans from the hospital he is staying in, nothing seems off." Spoke the man who Dave gave the blood to.
"We also did a brief look at his history but nothing is off, nothing strangely disappearing or other suspicious events. He seems like a normal college student." Said another.
"Dave, youare going to beassigned to get close to him, once you do, try to figure out what happened." Spoke the man who brought Dave there.
"How will I get close to him when he is in a coma?" Dave said.
"Well, you will be going into his classes and getting close with those who are close to him. You need to get to know him from there. If he wakes up, then you will already have a head start when it comes to getting close to him through mutual friends." He explained.
Dave nodded, he was truly curious about what happened. Looking at the paused video which had him on the ground with no one else near him really did make him eager to find out what happened.
Handing the tablet he was hold back to the man, hewas handedanother tablet with multiple names, locations, and many notes on the side of it.
"Make sure you study up, thiswill not beany mission like you havepreviouslytaken. I know for a fact you werepreviouslyan agent in the battlefield, however, you were by far the best candidate. Now go." Spoke the man as he then shooed him away.
Dave walked out and then closed the door. Reading the tablet closely he found that he didn''t really have many friends. He only saw one majorly important person to get close to.
As he read the name, he carefully memorized it and softly spoke it.
"Dean Chesterton"
Behind him, the door closed and a single, plain, line was listed across the door.
''Sector 37''
Chapter 17
"Wait... I feel like I am forgetting something."
I muttered as I had a thoughtful look on my face. Then, boltingupwardI yelled out.
"Oh yeah! Those guys who put me in a coma!"
I spoke with a rather angry voice. Originally, the plan was to have them teach the advanced civilization how tocommunicateso I could learn the technologies but now they were useless since I learned how to speak through intent.
Teleporting to the advanced civilization I noticed them having massive homes and I had a smirk. The main reason I wanted them happy was so that they would willing talk to the aliens.
Seemingly it worked, as I heard english coming from machines thatwere attachedto the octopus like creatures. Finally deciding to give them a punishment since I didn''t need them any longer.
I went a ways away and created a space with an unbreakable barrier, it was rather small, only the size of Earth. I checked on their bodies and I was happy to find that they made themselves immune to space so they could go without any protection.
Teleporting them without any warning I put them into thepitch blackarea I created and then turned away. Whatever happened now was not my problem, if I ever got bored, then I would check back on them.
However, I thought that it wouldn''t happen forquitea bit since I was rather angry, the only reason I held it in was so they could teach the advanced civilization how to talk.
Once again, making the platform outside the city they quickly came out, this time with many machines. I teleported those they stayed out.
"Hello, grand one."
"Grand oneeh?"
"Are you dissatisfied with our title for you?"
They said that sentence rather quickly and it seemed like they werequiteafraid of me.
"It''s fine, I am glad you learned how to speak my language."
"So, what do youdesire, grand one?"
"Technology mostly."
"We are happy to give you everything we know."
"So, you mean you want something after you give me everything?"
"No! We don''t dare ask anything from you!"
Quickly responding to my sarcastic remark they spoke ratherhurriedly.
"Fine, I will give a gift to one member of your species."
"May we know what the gift is?"
"You will know when I give it."
"Understood, how should we go about giving you all our technology?"
InternallyI wasquitesurprised since they seemed rather open to it. I was fully expecting them to try to slow the process down but I realized if I was facing a being that could instantly destroy everything I ever knew I would be rather compliant as well.
"You have computers?"
"We have neural interfaces, we saw what those computers from the two divinebeings-"
"Divine beings?"
I interrupted, I was not happy with them being revered.
"Yes, they had your blessings and a slight amount of yourpower-"
"They are not divine beings, never refer to them as such."
Realizing I got a bit heated I was speaking withquitea bit ofvenom. I didn''t realize how angry I really was with them. The creatures seemed rather stunned and quite afraid.
"Forget it, can you make a computer?"
They quickly nodded and I was a bit shocked since nodding would make no sense for them but I guess they gained it from interacting with those two.
I teleported them back and I made a chair to sit on while I waited. After around 10 minutes they rushed out with a thing that looked like a tablet.
Bringing them back they handed me the device. Well,rather thanhanded it more ofpassedusing their tentacles.
Holding it, I realized it had a bunch of english words on it. It sort of bugged me that they had literally everything explained but I had to admit it was quite useful.
What was a bit weird was that the device was basically weightless. Looking around I realized it had things like apps and the like.
Then, I saw something shocking, it was a photo album with countless pages. Separated by videos and photos, clicking on the photos Iwas shockedto find not the creatures I was expecting but pictures of space that were shockingly high detailed.
Looking through them I was rather satisfied and I looked at the videos. Once again, shocking scenes of planets smashing into other planets, and even into other stars. It seemed like itwas spedupquitea bit but it was quite a sight to behold.Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
There were quite a few other stellar events that were rather interesting. Skimming through a bunch I realized that there seemedto beendless. I swiped down and it didn''t stop, sadly, I couldn''t see a page icon but on the screen there was at least 25 videos of different things.
The device itself was ratheruser friendlyand I liked itquitea bit. Turning my head to the creatures who awaiting my response I asked them a question.
"Does your species have a name?"
"We call ourselves Cyin grand one."
"Alright, do you understand math?"
"From those you sent us they showed us basic numbers and we converted our equations to your base 10 number system."
"Good, your species can have one wish. As long as it is not too overboard."
"What do you mean?"
"Immortality, being able to destroy planets with a single punch, all that is easily within the scope, just come up with a wish."
I shooed them away and teleported them back to the entrance and I kept messing around on the device. Honestly, I was really liking the layout and it was very interesting.
Curious if it had all this on the device or if it was connecting to some outside source I created a barrier around the device which completely sealed it in basically another universe.
I had expected it a bit but most of the things I was looking at suddenly became unresponsive and would simply not work.
The strangest thing was that the pictures and videos still seemed to work fine. I decided just to watch some of the videos on the device and I found something shocking.
There werenumerousvideos of them invading planets and building massive structures either on planets or out of planets in a folder named ''Colonization''.
Watching them Iwas shockedto find they actuallyencounteredlife a few times and would typically enslave the race or just exterminate them.
Glancing at the city I realized it was obvious for them to take over planets even if there was other life on planets. As a galactic civilization it was in their best intereststo benefitthemselves.
There were mostly unintelligent creatures but I saw a few using tools out of wood or stone. There was a lot of slaughter and I decided to look at something else.
Another folder caught my eye, called ''Anomalies''. Opening it showed only 4 videos. Looking at the first one it showed a shadowy figure seemingly looking down right at the camera, and then the video ended.
What was strange was that the resolution around the figure was very distorted. I was honestlyintriguedbut I wanted to see the other videos.
The other 3 videos were all generally the same thing, a shadowy,unrecognizablefigure looking around before disappearing.
It was annoying that there was nothing like a timestamp, just videos in folders. Going out and just browsing the others I noticed that the Cyin had come out, this time there was a new one.
Bringing them back up one of them spoke.
"Grand one, this is the one who will be asking the wish."
"Alright, shoot."
"Shoot?"
"It is just a phrase, state the wish."
The new Cyin came forward and lowered itself a bit before speaking.
"The wish is for the power to alter."
"What avaguewish, since I am not trying to skim you on it like a genie would, enjoy the power of telekinesis."
I granted the power I had given before but I made itweakeroverall but far moreprecise. I thought that they would benefit from having a moreprecisepowerrather thana general power.
Instantly thecreatureseemed to notice something and suddenly a rock appeared out of nothing and flew at them. Quickly, the rock froze before it him them and simply floated there, motionless.
The Cyin looked in shock at the rock and it slowly deconstructed, turning into a fine powder.
Giving a grin I then heard one of the other Cyin speak.
"Grand one, we noticed the device was not working properly, may we take a look at it to fix it?"
"Oh, that, don''t worry about it."
I said as I took down the barrier around the device, quickly, they seemedto belistening to something and then made a nod before backing away.
Asking them to show me their math formulas thatwere relatedto the universe they showed me a very large amount of math. It was stillvaguelyrecognizablesince they usednumerousvariables but I saw strange symbols that seemed to mean something other than variables.
Eventually after going through a couple I let out a sigh and closed it. It was very confusing and made little sense to me.
While I was messing around I had an idea. I wondered what exactly they could show me what I could make given limited materials.
Going to the house I made I created duplicates of the computer and alarm clock. Going back I saw them waiting patiently. I remembered that the Cyin I gave powers tomust beeager to share it with other Cyin.
Teleporting the one Cyin back I saw the remaining Cyin interested in the object floating around me.
"I want you to make something interesting out of thesedevices, as ofright now, use anything. Make something useful. Weapons, calculators, anything that has a good use."
Creating more duplicates I gave them the duplicates and right before I teleported them away one of them spoke up.
"Wait, grand one, if it is just this then there is no need for us to bring them somewhere."
The Cyin that spoke took out a small device that looked like a button and pointed the center at the alarm clock. While nothing happened visually, I could sense a sort of scan go over the alarm clock.
Moving the button device over to the computer another scan went through. Then the Cyinspoke again.
"Out of just these materials we could make pretty much anything. Since anythingis allowed, we could easily use fusion and fission devices to change their atomic makeup to whatever we needed. The energy used would be wasteful but itcan bealmostanything."
Giving them a blank stare I was one again reminded that they had technologies incredibly far ahead of anything humans had. Of course they could just change the atoms of the computer and alarm clock to anything using fusion or fission.
Letting out a sigh I rephrased my request.
"Fine, using only these tools."
I created a few basic tools off of the top of my head, a hammer, screwdriver, and pliers. They once again scanned the tools with the devices and this time they gave a different response.
"Well, using just those tools, the list is very hampered, how much access to heating and cooling the materials?"
Making some floating water I froze it and I created some coal and heated it up so it would burn.
"Roughly this high and low, the low would be using the ice for cooling, the heat comingoff ofthe top of the coal would be used for heating."
"The tools can also be used on these right?"
"Yes."
"Given those circumstances the amount of things you could makeare limitedbut stillquitea lot. Any preference for the product?"
"A weapon."
"One use or multiple uses?"
"One use maximum destruction."
"Following all restrictions through these steps you could make this explosive."
They sent something to the device I was holding and I looked it over. It had incredibly detailed descriptions of what the steps would be and there was a lot of heating and cooling. Reading through them there were around 200 steps.
Seeing thefinal productin a simulation and I tried to materialize it. I felt a sort of connection to the device and the explosive suddenly appeared in my hand. It was quite small, about half the size of a closed fist.
When they saw me holding it they had a brief surprise but quickly went back to neutral. I threw it at the ground and sure enough there was a big explosion. I made it roughly isolated but Iwas shockedto find it seemedquitelike thec4from the video games I played.
"Thisis going to beinteresting."
I said with a grin on my face. Numerous ideas appeared into my mind as I thought about what I could do once I got back to reality.
However, the moment I thought about reality I suddenly was hit with a reminder that Iwas trappedin my universe. My eyes dimmed a bit and I looked up toward the sky which was slightly reddish blue.
"When will I go back to reality?"
Chapter 18
As I looked up at the strange sky that was unlike my own. I was really missing home. Although college was boring, I didn''t have many friends, and here I was invincible, I wanted to go back. The feeling just got stronger and stronger and I tried over and over to go back to reality.
I hated that even though I was literally god in my mind, I wanted to go back to reality. Still, all that happened was a strange rumbling of space that seemingly only I could see. Given the fact that all the Cyin below seemingly didn''t even register the rumbling.
Giving up after a while, I saw the Cyin who were using interfaces when I suddenly got an idea. What if I created a sort of system, it could help me do many things significantly easier. All I had to do would be to power it if I made it correctly, and I had more than enough power.
Simply trying to imagine creating a system resulted in nothing. I had no idea how to even create such a thing as a system. Teleporting over a Cyin they bowed slightly before me and began speaking.
"Anything grand one?"
"I am going to create a system"
"System?"
"Ah, you know how you have interfaces through your technology? I want to create a... thing... that will allow people to use such an interface without having the technology themselves and it will have the capabilities to improve entities strengths"
"Oh, you mean a H8Fj4$%"
"A what?"
The word sounded so foreign that I had no way to even recreate the word. However, after asking again with intent, it was basically a piece of technology that did almost exactly what I said, but it had an extremely short-range of only a few yards and could only make Cyin stronger through small machines in their bodies being altered by signals from the technology.
Basically an incredibly under powered system is what I got from it. It wasn''t even making the user stronger through itself, it could only alter machines in the user''s body to make them stronger within great limitations.
"Kind of, I want it to be something that doesn''t need anything on the user''s end, the only thing they need to be able to use the system is sentience. How would I make such a thing?"
"Grand one... we... need some time to be able to create such a theory based off of energy."
"It doesn''t have to be solely energy, I have the ability to make it intelligent."
"Give us a few minutes grand one"
"A few minutes?"
"That is the fastest we can do with our current capabilities, apologies if that is too long. If there is anything we can do in the mean time, feel free to ask."
"Alright"
A few minutes to create such a thing? I was expecting a long time like a few years which I would skip and come back. If it just takes a few minutes might as well wait.
''Rose''
I sent a single wave of intent instantly across the entire universe and I saw Rose appear in front of me. She bowed slightly and waited for my orders.
"Let''s play rock paper scissors."
"Apologies, I do not know what that game is, can you please teach me how to play master?"
"Sure"
After giving her the gist of rock beats scissors, scissors beat paper, and paper beats rock. We began to play. She watched my hand with strange intensity but I didn''t care. I moved my hand down and up and at shoot I played rock and she played scissors. Giving a grin, I spoke once more.
"Again"
However, I quickly noticed something off, I won every single game. I even tried to tie but she would always play something that would lose to mine. Even when I tried making a gesture she didn''t understand she just made the same weird gesture and asked what it meant.
"Try to win"
After I said this however, her face was filled with distress which made me chuckle a bit.
"Rose, I want you to pick what you are going to play for the next game right now."
She nodded after a second and we played and tied. She seemed to be stressed out and then she suddenly spoke in a slightly rushed voice.Did you know this story is from Royal Road? Read the official version for free and support the author.
"I''m sorry, I didn''t mean to tie with you."
"It''s fine, I don''t need to win, I just wanted to play a game with you to pass the time, lets play again."
This time, she won but she had a blank look on her face as she stared at her hand which had paper in shock. I laughed and spoke with a happy voice.
"Good! You won! That is how the game is supposed to be, you did everything right. Good job!"
She looked at me with a bit of shock on her face but she rigidly nodded. I turned to the Cyin who moved closer to the platform and I teleported them up to me.
"Grand one, we managed to create a simulation with such an intelligent being which controlled an energy that they could control the system through. Please take a look."
Saying goodbye to Rose I had to go back to whatever she was doing before and she seemed a bit rigid in her actions. However, she still bowed right before she left and then I took a look at the tablet.
Opening an unknown application, the tablet showed three screens each of which showed different things of seemingly the same place. One, labeled ''Visible'' showed a Cyin gesturing in the air to seemingly nothing but then they suddenly started growing larger.
On another screen, labeled ''Energy'' it showed a mostly green area with the Cyin being a different shade of green. Then the green in the are around the Cyin seemed to go into the Cyin which was growing slightly.
On the last screen, labeled ''System View'' it showed a closeup of the Cyin with a blue interface appearing in front of it and once it clicked a button the Cyin began to grow as the interface changed around a bit.
After a few more seconds, the Cyin stopped growing and it was around double the size of a normal Cyin. The scene warped a bit and a normal Cyin appeared next to the big Cyin. They both swung one of their tentacles at seemingly duplicate trees. The big Cyin completely destroyed the tree, uprooting it and flinging it into the darkness of the simulation. The other hit the tree and caused a bit of damage but the Cyin was worse off, it''s tentacle seemed broken.
The simulation turned black and I grinned, it was good enough and since it required an energy to be ever present I might as well introduce mana to the universe. However, I thought about splitting the universe into two halves, one with normal physics, without any crazy things like mana which were made by me, and one where I could test as much as I wanted.
I watched how they created the energy in another simulation and it seemed heavily reliant on making the energy itself intelligent, but not intelligent enough to have its own thoughts. Or else the system could have bias which they showed me could cause major imbalances and even the destruction of worlds in bad cases.
The energy was also very specific in that it was to be made in such a way that would not allow any being to absorb or interfere with it in any way since it was linked to the system which made it fundamentally different from the Divine Energy which Creator made.
Seeing how adamant they were on not letting the system be able to grow to think at all, it bugged me a bit. However, the part of me that really wanted the system said that it would be worth it and the benefits far outweighed the so called moral problems behind it.
Taking the tablet that had all the instructions and requirements for the energy to be such a system, I kept thinking of all the benefits a system would give me. One obvious one would be it would be able to give me information on pretty much anything in it''s energy field which I decided to just call the system''s influence area.
Teleporting over to Amy, I created another testing barrier with a planet full of plants. Amy requested that once I was done with the planet, she could have it. I didn''t really mind so I agreed. Creating a compressed ball of pure energy, I began to infuse it with soul energy while trying to keep the actual amount of soul energy minimal and giving the soul energy intelligence.
Suddenly, the ball of energy which was mostly pure energy with a bit of soul energy became sapient. I could feel the thoughts radiating from the energy and I was shocked. I tried to keep close track of it so that it wouldn''t gain sapience because that would cause bias like the Cyin so clearly emphasized.
However, the ball of energy was alive and thinking. I had no idea what to do with it. Quickly the thought of instantly destroying it appeared in my mind but I could tell that the human part of me was rebelling. While I was in my universe, I was like a god, there is no reason why I should be hesitant.
I had accidentally put too much soul energy with intelligence in it which lead to its current state. Obviously, it was a failure, failures should be learned from and removed. As I saw the soul energy swirling around in the small compressed ball of energy that was held together with my mind I saw that it was a pure soul, a blank slate.
All souls that I didn''t create seemed to be leaning towards good or evil, and this soul was just a blank slate. Since it was in a pitch black barrier it had nothing to influence it. In my mind, I saw it like a baby, completely unknowing of its circumstances.
If it didn''t think, I feel like the act of killing it would be significantly easier. It didn''t know that it even existed in a state like that, except this ball of energy was a thinking being. I could tell it was curious of both itself and everything around it.
Feeling the soul energy swirl more to one side and another as it probed the form I kept it in. It began to control its energy and tear itself apart. I was quickly confused since most souls seemed to do this as well. Providing more energy to the ball I could tell that like Creator it tried to sense me but I prevented it from perceiving me.
This was a being completely unlike the other beings I had previously created. Normally, the soul energy was the only energy present in the being with small amounts of ambient energy if there was any. Yet this was a being made of significantly more energy than soul.
It quickly learned that there were two types of energies, the soul energy which made up itself and the other type of energy. It tried to tear its soul energy apart and it quickly stopped. I realized that with previous souls, their intelligence wasn''t linked so closely and they had enough soul to actually tear apart.
It seemed to freeze up and its soul energy slowly came back together. While it was regaining it''s bearings, I realized I had to find a way to deal with this. If I created a system properly, the two would probably interfere with each other.
"Amy"
"Yeah?"
"This was a failure, what do you think I should do?"
"If it can think, then you can''t kill it"
"But it will probably interfere with the system."
"..."
Amy remained silent and I just stared at the ball of energy. It didn''t know that its entire existence was at risk simply because I made a mistake. It had finally recovered and didn''t mess with its soul energy, instead focusing on messing around with the regular energy.
I finally gathered my thoughts together and I made a decision.
Chapter 19
I decided that it would have a sort of administrator role in the system. While the proper system would be able to give me enough raw data on things to be set for life, having an actual thinking being be able to provide me information would be far more worth while.
Before I decided to speak to it, I made sure to tell Amy not to appear before it since I wanted it to be a bit different than just another humanoid. I sent a wave of intent with English which quickly let it learn how to speak English.
Instead of appearing as an avatar and speaking through that, I decided to create an avatar similar to the ball of energy. Quickly, the ball seemed to notice the appearance of a massive amount of energy, far above its own, appear in front of it. I decided to remove the pressure keeping it in a compressed ball form and it quickly expanded before bringing itself back together.
Instead of forming a humanoid shape it slowly shifted back into its compressed form similar to how I appeared. I made a line of energy appear from my ball form and it connected to the ball of energy and I spoke to it through the link.
"Hello"
It seemed a bit surprised before it also connected through my link and spoke into my avatars mind.
"Hello, who are you?"
"I am your creator"
"Why did you create me?"
"To oversee everything"
"What exactly am I overseeing?"
I quickly moved my focus out of the barrier and moved it to a proper place and expanded it to a bit bigger than a galaxy and then created an entire galaxy. I had to admit, when it came to creating basic elements like this, it was incredibly easy. The only problem was that the planets were too smooth, asteroids seemingly too jagged, everything was just slightly off from reality.
It was mesmerized in the scene I created. I spoke to it while it was focusing on the galaxy I created below us. It was a bit strange being able to tell where it was focusing based on the concentration of soul energy in it more in one direction than the other.
"However, your main focus will instead be living things. To be exact, sapient beings."
I sent images of things like dragons, elves, beastfolk, and humans.
"While I plan for the system to be present everywhere, certain planets will have different types of access to the system. I need someone to help oversee the system and give me needed information."
"System?"
"Yes, it will be a non-intelligent being that will encompass as much of the universe as it can. I am going to design it in such a way that allows it can expand quickly."
"Have you already created the system?"
"Not yet"
"Can I watch you make it?"
"Sure, but first, do you want to give yourself a name?"
"I want to be called Overseer"
"... As a name?"
"Yes"
"Okay"
I didn''t really see any downside of letting Overseer watch the creation of the system. Removing the galaxy I created I prepared to remake the same type of energy.
I had experience from making Overseer accidentally so I was prepared to successfully make it this time. I watched Overseer''s soul energy in him seem to focus entirely on the ball of energy I was creating. Right as I started putting in the soul energy, I suddenly felt thoughts and confusion coming from the ball.
"..."
"..."
After around two hundred tries I finally made the system as it was intended. I quickly connected with it through my link and it wasn''t thinking, yet it was able to listen to commands and react. I began following the instructions from the Cyin which all went perfectly. As I superpowered the system, which I had decided to just call it ''the system'' for convince, I saw it grow in power and it began to expand, since it''s soul energy was always spread out evenly, it was able to perfectly react anywhere.
There were around two hundred balls of energy around me and as the system began to expand faster and faster from me giving it more and more energy, it quickly hit the barrier. I noticed that the soul energy density was slightly higher around the balls of light and it was especially dense around me.
I moved around a bit and I noticed the dense cloud of soul energy surround me wherever I went. Briefly wondering why it was focusing on me, I spoke a single word that was used to interact with the system. For normal creatures however, the unique energy from the system would be able to exist normally inside their bodies, allowing them to use their thoughts to access the system.
"Menu"
While it did look a bit bland, ideally, most beings would only be able to use the Status which would show them a page describing their stats. Clicking the Status option closed the menu and opened a new screen.

I chuckled a bit as I saw all the disabled things, but it made sense since the avatar I made was of similar substance to the system''s energy so it interfered with it. As I clicked on my title almost instinctively, I saw a new screen open above the status.This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

I chose Overseer as a test and I saw his status appear but with a few extra options.

It seemed that I could add any ability or title from a large table that listed tons of abilities. However, it was not all abilities as I noticed a few abilities missing but the System was made in such a way that let it grow from things happening within its range of influence.
I noticed two titles that caught my eye.
System Administrator |
Given system authority |
System Assistant |
Given limited system authority |
I added the title to Overseer which seemed to give him a notification as he reacted to it and then he asked me a question.
"How do I use this?"
"Say Menu to open your menu and you can navigate it through pressing the boxes"
"Alright"
Overseer seemed to be pressing faster and faster as time went on. I saw his soul energy start getting more and more active as he gained speed. I had no idea what he was doing as such a high speed, suddenly, I saw numerous notifications appear in my vision.
Administrator Overseer granted the title System Assistant to- |
I sent out an order directly to the system and the notifications stopped. I didn''t need to see every time a title was given so I watched as Overseer talked to all the other balls of energy. As I looked at them all, I shook my head, it took way too many tries for me to get the systems energy right.
An interesting ability they all seemed to have after messing around with the system for a bit was being able to merge with the system and move instantly anywhere within the range of the system. While they were in the merged state, they could easily see everything happening inside the system. I tried to marge with the system as well and my avatar got overwhelmed, luckily, it wasn''t directly me or else I would have frozen for who knows how long to process the information overload.
After they finished, I made them all come around me and I began speaking.
"All of you will maintain the system and keep it in order. I know Overseer showed you all the galaxy I showed him, there are countless galaxies outside of this barrier. However, before I release this barrier around us, I want to you all to meet someone. Amy, come inside to say hello."
Amy, who was able to see from the outside, teleported inside and waved.
"Amy is my assistant for trying new things, if you ever need any help, feel free to ask her"
I noticed Amy glance over at me with a slightly confused look but I ignored it. I changed my avatar from the ball of energy to a humanoid. I really had to give them a better name than balls of light.
"From now on, all of your kind will be called System Controllers."
Removing the barrier, I saw the system quickly take an absurd amount of energy to expand. Quickly, the System Controllers all merged with the system to see everything happening and I was left alone with Amy. However, I noticed the soul energy in the system was still hovering at a much higher density than normal over me. I sent an order to the system to treat me as a normal being and the density vanished.
"So, the system was a success I assume?"
"Yeah, here, to access the system, try thinking the word menu and let me give you a title."
After I gave Amy the title she seemed to be super interested in the system. I designed the system in such a way that without me or someone else with authority over the system, it wouldn''t interfere with anything. Instead, it would only passively observe and gather information on everything in its area of control.
I destroyed my avatar and zoomed out. Previously, when I used my energy vision, there wasn''t much that stuck out but when I was looking at my whole universe I saw a visibly expanding area of energy at an absurd rate. While it wasn''t going to instantly cover my entire universe, it would easily get there given an hour.
As I looked over my whole universe, I wondered if there was anything outside of it or if I could try and control the entire thing. As I tried to instead of looking at it from the inside, moving outside, I quickly felt a very strange sensation and my vision seemed to pop out.
All I saw was darkness. Except for a small expanding bubble of activity. I lost my ability to zoom in and out of the void but it seemed like my vision was growing with my universe. I also heard things. They were muffled voices. I strained my hearing but I couldn''t make out any word, but I heard voices.
Suddenly, I wondered what would happen if I tried to go out of my universe while in the void region. I felt the familiar shifting feeling and this time I didn''t feel any resistance. However, right as I was about to shift completely, it felt like I hit something.
The voices were far clearer and I could actually feel my body, but I couldn''t move it at all.
"We need a doctor over here! Jason Revens heart rate suddenly spiked!"
I was a bit freaked out that I couldn''t move and I felt my body start jerking.
"Patient has started to have spasms!"
It felt like there was some kind of barrier keeping me in my universe that was preventing me from completely going back to reality. I tried to hit the barrier and I felt like I got hit by a truck as waves of pain crashed over my body. I was jolted back into my universe and I felt the barrier seemingly ''move'' closer to my universe instead of reality.
The last thing I heard as I felt myself shifting back into my universe sent me into a huge panic.
"Get a defibrillator now! Patient has flat lined!"
Chapter 20
The barrier which had started moving closer to my universe suddenly felt very strange. Instead of the solid barrier it was like there were holes in it. I quickly tried to go through it and I suddenly felt like I was tearing myself apart. I could suddenly hear better in reality but I could still feel my mind being pushed back to my universe even though I tried going through the barrier.
The barrier suddenly started getting stronger and having fewer holes in it. I could feel my body in reality but it was very strange. I heard numerous people yelling around me and I felt a strange dissonance between my body in reality and my mind which was trapped in my universe.
After the barrier sealed back up and felt nearly impossible to go through I suddenly heard a voice which I had not heard in a long time. Deep in my mind, I heard the voice guiding me on how to control my body in reality. Somehow, it was like I was controlling an avatar, yet it was like trying to control it on a keyboard that was a language I didn''t speak.
Doing strange and unfamiliar movements and using muscles I had never had to consciously control, following the voices suggestions, I slowly started to stabilize in reality. However, it felt like I was trying to see things through a kaleidoscope. For the first few days, it took my entire focus to keep my body alive, I had to follow the voice as it was the main thing keeping me alive. Strangely enough, I didn''t feel any tiredness.
After a week, I had gradually gotten the hang of using my body in reality. I had also discovered the hard way that if I tried to make an avatar in my universe, my body in reality would quickly deteriorate. The voice kept popping up and giving advice on what I was doing but it was gradually giving less and less advice.
After two weeks of this high intensity control, I had tried to open my eyes and it was very strange. I couldn''t speak, when I tried, all I could do was move my mouth. Trying to control my voice took much more focus that I would have thought and it seemed to cause my entire body to start dying due to my lack of focus.
Keeping my body alive took around half of my attention at any given time. Dean came numerous times to speak to me after he was told that I could open my eyes. Even though I didn''t respond, he still spoke quite often and brought numerous people. Controlling my eyes gave me a shock, I could control how much my eyes focused and took in light. I had previously needed glasses but I managed to adjust my eyes in such a way that made my vision way better.
Dean also made a new friend, he seemed older than us by a bit but Dean said that he was really cool and that once I got better we three should hang out. His name was Danny but I felt a strange sense of unease whenever he spoke.
It was very strange, it seemed like my mind was in my universe while my body was being remote controlled by my mind in my universe. Thinking about it further, it made sense since my mind didn''t seem to inhabit a brain, instead, it was a floating consciousness. Or at least that is what it seemed like. Now that my mind wasn''t in my body, it didn''t have all the hard wiring of the brain to automate most of staying alive.
This made me super curious if I could adjust the chemicals in my body to a certain degree but at the moment I was quite occupied with just maintaining my body. A few days passed and I eventually tried controlling my limbs. Moving my arms first, a nurse and doctor came in to talk to me, but all I could do was awkwardly point at my mouth and shake my head.
They put me into rehabilitation and tried having me learn to control my muscles. Their treatments didn''t do much since it was me learning how to better control my body. It seemed like no matter how much I tried, I couldn''t speak, the amount of precise control it took was insane and every time I tried it led to me collapsing and having numerous problems.
By far however, the most uncomfortable feeling was going to the bathroom. I had a male nurse help me and I hated it because it also took quite a lot of control to just do seemingly simple tasks like taking a dump and peeing. I also accidentally broke a finger.
I was getting used to my muscles by using a small amount of control and adding some until it seemed normal but I wondered how much I could make my body move. I swung my hand at an empty cup I had and I ended up breaking my pointer finger and hurting a lot of muscles in my arm. The voice, which had significantly dropped off on its advice came to help me in full force. I had no idea how to repair an injury but the voice helped me make a complete recovery significantly faster than natural healing.
In only two days I had managed to heal my broken finger and made the bones perfectly. The muscles in my arms were healing as well and I tried to break down muscles in my other arm and then accelerated the healing on them. Over the course of a week, all my muscles seemed to grow significantly and I was much stronger.
They also decided to try to teach me sign language as I still couldn''t speak no matter how much better I got at controlling my body. However, it seemed like my mind was very good at memorizing things as I learned sign language at an insane rate.
Every time I was shown a hand sign, I could instantly remember it. Out of curiosity, I tried looking up different languages online. It seemed exactly the same as when I was learning sign language, anything I saw seemed to be instantly engraved in my mind.
After a month of rehab, I was finally able to walk normally and I walked out of the hospital. I had to catch up on quite a lot of schoolwork. Luckily, with my new photographic memory, I easily did everything until I got to english. English was like normal since my memory didn''t really help my writing skills.Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.
Going back to my normal rate was a bit annoying since I was starting to get used to doing all my work super quickly. It also became rather clear very quickly that my body seemed to have lost the need to sleep. When I finally brought my body to the bed. I realized that sleeping was a rather pointless task.
There was no point, I had to keep doing the things that kept my body alive, so instead I tried to focus on my universe while also keeping my body alive. It proved difficult and making things in my universe strained my mind. I had completely lost the ability to control avatars made in my universe since any time I tried, my body in reality quickly started dying.
I noticed the system almost entirely encompassed the universe. I didn''t notice that time was being sped up while I was practicing controlling my body. I tried to speak to the system from a certain point in space and a box appeared in front of the area I spoke from.
Hello Creator! I am Overseer, may I ask where you currently are? |
"I cannot appear in front of you right now. However, I need to ask how long I have been gone?"
According to the Godspeak language''s unit of time it has been around 434,822 years since you last appeared |
"I will talk to you soon, give me a few minutes"
Wow. That was... a lot. I needed to check in on a few people. Moving over to Creator who had long ran out of the endless supply of power seemed to discover a way to harness power from faith. He used his power much more sparingly and in his bubble there were countless floating structures and beings that looked completely foreign.
Originally just a few planets around a star, it seemed like gravity was negated as there were numerous planets bridged together through with silver bridges that connected the planets together. There were many wars happening all around the planets with rockmen fighting on the ground, a decent amount in the sky, and then a few above the planet. The higher up rockmen were fighting, seemingly the stronger they got. Creator was also inside the star, seemingly absorbing the power of faith.
The only reason I discovered how it was faith was through seeing the power shoot at him which came from the souls of rockmen. It was strange as the power was unlike soul energy and it was a strange sort of power that seemed to be harder than normal to discover.
Moving away, I went over to Amy and I saw her typing in the air and I realized she was probably using the system. Changing my vision to see the system I saw many panels appearing in front of her. There seemed to be a messaging system as well as a few panels overviewing what seemed to be a species menu.
Amy looked slightly different. She seemed to be slightly older appearance wise but all around her there was a sort of aura that seemed to cause others to be respectful to her. I was a bit shocked as I found countless elves all over a huge area taking up around 1/1000th of the entire universe.
While seemingly small, it was an absurdly large number, but I supposed it made sense given her support. Going over to Rose revealed a huge shock to me. She stood completely still before an empty throne in a floating temple in the middle of empty space. Except that wasn''t the shocking thing, the system seemed to be repelled from her and it''s power never got close to the temple. Instead, there was a massive bubble around the temple that simply had no system.
There were also strange beings with no face appearing and disappearing, seemingly talking to each other before disappearing. Following one of them, I was shocked to find that they seemed to repel the system wherever they were. Suddenly, I remembered a being I had forgotten about.
Quickly looking for the only being in existence that was created from the body of an avatar I inhabited I was shocked to see a being whose power was even above Amy and Creator combined at their peaks. His form remained humanoid but his entire body was covered in darkness which occasionally spiked outward, sometimes a few inches, sometimes a few feet. The system also had a noticeable difference to it. The soul energy in the system was gone, only the raw energy which slowly moved through space existed.
Seemingly drifting through space, unmoving. It was really in the middle of nowhere, very far from any galaxy, it made me wonder how it got here and what happened to the beastfolk world. However, I needed to deal with the creature now. I had long forgotten about it but this time I was dealing with it now.
It seemed like soul energy was flowing towards the being through the system. Quickly, I created a barrier, which luckily I could still do. The being rushed at the barrier and shockingly destroyed it with raw power. The soul energy which was previously flowing turn into a surge that compressed into the being significantly faster.
Making another barrier I put much more power into it and a massive crack appeared across the barrier as the body of the being seemed to dim significantly. Luckily, it seemed like it was a one time super hit as once I strengthened the barrier, the beings hits were far weaker.
Sending a single line to it I asked it the question I asked long ago.
"Who are you?"
Shocked, the creature shuddered and just sent a wave of intent through the barrier to communicate.
"I don''t know. Who are you?"
"I see you still remember"
"Yes, are you the one who created me?"
"Yes"
"Why?"
"As an experiment"
This greatly angered the creature which started hitting the barrier rhythmically.
"Why do you hit the barrier if you know you cannot escape?"
"Why did you make me like this?"
"Like what?"
"Destructive! Dark!" The being roared.
The outburst shocked me as for some reason it didn''t really hit me that this was an ancient creature that had lived for a significant amount of time.
"I can''t even die! Ever since that thing appeared across the universe, I always end up killing it! Everything I come near dies! You made me a cursed being!"
"I remember you hungered for strength. Do you not have it?"
"What is the point of limitless strength should you not be able to speak to anyone with it. You created me with a curse of forever being alone."
The creature seemed to have evolved in a way I could have never predicted.
"I tried to control my power, but every time I hold back that desire to destroy, it hurts me on a fundamental level."
"What if I created a place where you won''t hurt or want to destroy?"
Chapter 21
The creature looked at me with great interest. I decided to try something new. Previously, I had changed the rules over a great area but this time I was going to try to influence the void.
Moving my vision outside of my universe I tried to change around the void but it seemed I couldn¡¯t do anything. I tried to use my universe and expand and I quickly noticed the changes.
It was slowly expanding. I tried to stop the expansion of the space of the universe but let it continue expanding. It was quite difficult but possible.
Luckily, it seemed like doing such things didn¡¯t take much focus and it didn¡¯t cause negative effects on my body in reality.
After maintaining my focus for a while I had a empty layer above my universe that was like a film around it. It was very small but it was fine. I zoomed into it and I was on a strange barrier of sorts that seemed to be my actual universe.
The rules of the film were easily distorted and with a little effort the void would crack the film and seep in. It seemed like the void tried to convert everything into itself but the rules of the film would prevent it from going too far.
Eventually, the void would collapse back through the hole in the film and seal itself. Giving a slight nod, making myself normal sized made the film appear infinite. Looking up, it was an endless distance above. Roughly the size of a few galaxies.
I quickly made a light source and strengthened the border of the universe and created a ground so there was something between the film and the universe. Making it roughly a galaxy sized barrier I decided that it was enough and I teleported the creature here and it quickly looked around in shock.
Due to the lack of rules, it¡¯s body quickly distorted the space around it and the void tried to convert it into itself. It all happened in nearly an instant so I was quite shocked but not a moment later the being¡¯s body seemed to stop having darkness jolt out.
Once it stabilized it spoke to me.
¡°Where is this?¡±
¡°We are between the universe and the void. I believe you have just witnessed what the void can do.¡±
¡°Why did you bring me here?¡±
¡°I plan to create a true afterlife here and I hope you will be the one overseeing it¡±
¡°Me? Why? All I have done is destroy and kill.¡±
¡°Because I will make it so you will not destroy nor kill unless you so desire¡±
¡°How? I have tried controlling my power but it is far too great¡±
¡°By giving all those who appear here a barrier that prevents you from passively destroying them¡±
After saying that, it seemed to be quite expectant. I first focused on making a barrier that was resistant to the passive absorption process from the creature.
I created soul energy and tried different types of soul energy to find one that was resistant to the passive force.
When it was finally done, the being had witnessed the variations and when it noticed the soul energy wasn¡¯t being drawn to it the creature seemed very interested.
I decided to create a sort of filter that every soul would go through before being disseminated into the film.
The filter took quite a while to make due to having to stop to focus and maintain my body. However, after finishing it and testing with soul energy, it seemed fine for souls to go through the filter and reach the film.
Speaking of which, I should decide on a name for it. Afterworld. Another side project of mine was to make a protective barrier on my universe seeing as I was sort of remotely controlling my body.
The Afterworld would be passively strengthened by every soul that dissipated would contribute to the strength and durability of the Afterworld.
I created a structure and filled it with an amount of strength that would cause even the creature to take a long time to destroy even a small part of it.
Speaking of which, I decided that I needed a sort of measurement system for just how much power I would use in everything.
Putting that matter aside, I finished the filter and with the help of the voice I tried making a small portion of my universe filter the newly dead souls over to the Afterworld.
The creature, which was watching the whole time during the creation of the filter, was stunned to see an absolutely mindbogglingly large number of souls shoot from the filter into the sky.
Due to the amount of souls passing through, there was a massive pillar of light which split off into every direction. I was quite stunned at the phenomenon and it looked quite cool.
I also decided that the system should have a connection to the film because the purpose of the system was originally to be an information soaker.This novel is published on a different platform. Support the original author by finding the official source.
Creating an invisible portal from the center of my universe to the core of the filter. I quickly felt the familiar force of the system go through and rapidly expand.
However, there was quickly a very apparent problem. The system was still being absorbed by the being.
A good thing about the film was that the void seemed to suppress the absorption of the being so it was to a much lesser extent. I sealed the opening and the part of the system that did get through was finished off the being.
Teleporting to the center of the universe, I noticed the concentration of system energy was significantly higher.
Sending a message to the system quickly made Overseer and quite a few System Controllers appear.
¡°Creator! We noticed a strange portal that lead to an unknown area, however, there is a being that had previously been interfering with the control of the system in a large radius. We do not know how-¡°
¡°I made the portal¡±
¡°I see¡±
Overseer quickly accepted that answer and did not speak any further. Waiting for either an explanation or an order.
¡°I am creating an afterlife where all life that dies will have their soul be transported to the Afterworld. I tried to let the system into the area but I forget about the passive absorption of the being¡±
¡°We have tried numerous ways to bypass the interference but we determined that-¡°
Suddenly, Overseer and the System Controllers froze and disappeared. After briefly wondering why, I suddenly saw Rose appear.
The concentration of the system was destroyed with the appearance of Rose. She quickly looked around before sending a massive wave of intent.
¡°Creator, are you there?¡±
¡°Rose, I must say, it has been a while¡±
¡°Creator!¡± She suddenly bowed and then spoke rapidly.
¡°Creator! It has been such a long time, I thought you had forsaken us because of a mistake, if that was the reason, please tell me why and I will immediately-¡°
Rose went off on a tirade and after several seconds I decided to try to make an avatar, even though it hadn¡¯t been long since I last tried, I wanted some sort of avatar to speak through.
Starting off simple with a ball of light. I once again felt my mind split but I tried to bear with the pain.
Rose quickly came close and bowed before the ball and was talking but I couldn¡¯t understand her as I was trying to focus.
The ball of light was wavering and it seemed to worry Rose. However, I had my own problems, quickly my body in reality started to gradually cease functioning.
Loosening my focus on controlling the ball of light, it changed from controlling it to mere supplying it with power.
Avatars were different in that I could feel sensations and funnel my power through them instead of directly powering them.
The ball of light stopped wavering and became stable and I could once again understand the intent from Rose.
Rose was quite worried but I calmed her down. She seemed to want to stay by the light I made.
¡°Rose, why do you repel the system?¡±
¡°System? I thought it was an invader due to how the moment you disappeared it began to exist.¡±
¡°I see, however, I actually made it in order to obtain information on the universe so I could easily understand it¡±
¡°Oh¡± After saying that, the anti-system barrier that Rose had up quickly disappeared and the system rushed back in. Overseer and the System Controllers reappeared.
¡°Creator! That is one of the beings that interfere with the system¡± Overseer quickly sent.
¡°This, is Rose, she is one of my trusted allies.¡± As I said that, I gave her the System Administrator title.
She quickly started navigating through the system and seemed rather interested in it. Speaking of which, I hadn¡¯t looked in the system in a long time.
Bringing up the system it seemed normal at first.

Moving into the shop I was stunned to see countless skills all with different variations, types, levels of strength, and more. It didn¡¯t seem to grade skills on a letter rating but instead a number.
For quite a few of the skills there would be a slider which would indicate how strong the skill would be. For some of the skills they were not even positive ones yet they still had large costs.
The currency seemed to be ¡®Points¡¯. A rather basic name but it didn¡¯t seem to need to be called more.
The shop also had items and even a section for living creatures. I made a mental note to check how the living creatures were made because while the cost was high, I didn¡¯t think the system was capable of creating living creatures.
Briefly checking on the status, it was the same as before. I tried to think of a way to allow the system into the Afterworld.
However, it seemed that as long as the being would interrupt the systems flow of information, I opened numerous portals from the center of my universe to random areas across the Afterworld.
The system was simply set to avoid the area where the being was. With that, the system had near complete access to the universe and the film.
There were no other beings strong enough to affect the system. It seemed that with the massive time the system had to develop, it did not drastically change things in my universe.
Originally, I was worried when I came back that there would be countless beings that had leveled up enough to be dangerous to my creations.
However, it seemed that every species had a set level limit and for most it was below 10. For those elite species that were extraordinarily powerful, their levels would not pass 20.
I was curious what the strongest creature in the universe would be and seemingly the peak of random mutations that allowed the creature to surpass every other being was at a grand total of¡ 33.
When I was browsing through the system I asked what the highest level was and the system said theoretically infinite levels. It seemed that I was at the so-called level infinity since I could do anything.
The system had quite a bit of potential as I browsed through it. I gave myself a few skills to see what they did and some of them were quite interesting. The way the skills worked was by drawing from the immense power of the system.
The beings themselves would not have power except for the power of their innate body. However, it seemed that once the system helped with the strengthening of the body, it would require power from the system to sustain itself or the body would fail.
Finally, I asked the system about the buying of life in the shop and it seemed that the system had created an entire race of gas-like beings that would willing submit themselves to be altered to fit the needs of the one buying from the shop.
When I asked about why they were will to be bought it seemed that their species was constantly in great pain since they lived on gas giants and the pressure would harm their bodies significantly.
Trying to figure out why they were in pain was astonishingly complex since their bodily chemistry, if it can even be called that, was entirely outside of my understanding. I had heard of silicon based life being a possibility but I had never thought that a gas could be sentient.
After sating my curiosity I finally had a moment to look over everything and a single thought came to my head.
¡°What now?¡±
Chapter 22
Moving my focus back to the real world. I was laying on the bed with my eyes closed. I had to pretend to sleep since it was strange to be awake 24/7. I also had the voice help me whenever I tried to sleep due to the changes in chemicals.
Deciding that it was time to deeply investigate my body I noticed that I could zoom into certain parts of my body. Moving over to the brain, I noticed a shocking fact.
Brains were supposed to have electrical currents going through them. It was something everyone knew and once the brain stopped being active, people were considered dead. The only problem was that looking at my brain showed it was in a sort of suspended state.
Trying to send a few currents through the brain revealed strange flashes of images that were projected to my mind. They were completely nonsensical and I couldn¡¯t make any sense of them.
It seemed that my brain was being kept alive but there was no activity in it. Looking over my muscles revealed very tough and compressed muscles. Luckily, I didn¡¯t just have absurd growth which would look unnatural.
The muscles all over my body were compressed far more than before, easily 10 times their previous density. Getting up and walking out of the dorm room quietly I walked outside in the night.
It was around 5 am and there were few people outside at this time. Suddenly, I felt like someone was watching me. Turning towards the sensation I noticed for a fraction of a second that someone was looking at me from behind the corner.
If I didn¡¯t have perfect memory and could recall every instant of the memory, I would have missed it but there was definitely someone watching me. Turning around and walking I instantly felt the sensation again.
I kept walking and occasionally made turns and from the corner of my eye I kept seeing the figure of the person but they seemed to be perfectly evading my line of sight. After a few minutes of carefully turning and trying to see who was watching me I felt the sensation disappear.
It seemed like they didn¡¯t want me to see them at all and I could only see bits and pieces of the figure of their body. Every time I was close to seeing them, even from the corner of my eyes, they darted away.
Putting it in the back of my mind I tried to think of who would watch me and I simply had no idea. I had just gotten back from the hospital so it didn¡¯t make sense for someone to want to watch me.
Who could it be?
~~~ POV Change ~~~
Dave walked away due to the strangeness of the situation. As someone part of Sector 37, he had a lot of training for people who were¡ special. This allowed him to easily figure out that Jason realized he was there.
It didn¡¯t make sense, from the moment he started trailing him, Jason would keep looking back or making deliberate turns to try to see him. No one had ever noticed him due to how careful and far he was.
This lead to him usually getting less information at the cost of safety. However, on the field, this caution was what kept him alive. After giving up due to several close calls he took out his phone and wrote down a note.
¡®34946 had exhibited possible extreme perception.¡¯
Putting his phone away, he got the notification for a text and with a sigh took his phone back out.
After looking over the text for a few seconds, Dave walked out of the campus and went to an unassuming building. After using one of the keys on his key chain the door unlocked and he saw three people sitting in chairs.
Two men and one woman. The woman was slightly younger than him and was wearing casual clothes while the two men were older and wearing full suits and ties.
¡°Dave, there have been some complications with your assignment.¡±
¡°What complications? 34946 has just returned to school, there is not much that can be complicated so early on.¡±
¡°Take a look at these brain scans.¡±
One of the men took out a sheet of paper and it had a few short lines and a image of a line on a graph.
¡®The EEG machine seems to have had a problem when scanning the brain of patient Jason Reven. The machine reads out that there is nothing happening in the brain of the patient. Upon testing the machine it was shown that there was no problem and the scan was just a malfunction.¡¯
¡°What about this causes a complication?¡±
¡°Here, read these too and you¡¯ll see a problem.¡±This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.
Taking a few more papers from the main they had numerous lines seemingly taken from different sources.
¡®Patient Jason Reven has a heart rate of a constant 70 beats per minute. After his seizure his heart rate has never deviated from 70 bpm. Along with this, his blood pressure never deviated from his average.¡¯
¡®According to those who helped with patient Jason Reven¡¯s muscle therapy he seems to sometimes put too much or too little control with his strength and his biggest mishap was when he hit a cut which broke his pointer finger on his left hand and left a noticeable crack on a metal cup.¡¯
¡®During the coma, his brain activity remained as active as normal, which would indicate that he could awaken at any time.¡¯
¡°Something happened after he awoke from his coma.¡±
¡°Yes, and because of that, we are going to have 32445 help you with some intelligence gathering.¡±
¡°During my first investigation, it seemed that 34946 might have extreme perception capabilities.¡±
¡°Interesting, when you notice 34946 is occupied, give 32445 a call and she will walk by him and try to gather information.¡±
¡°Alright.¡±
Dave took 32445¡¯s information and walked out. Dave hated the number system and wondered why they couldn¡¯t just call people by their names.
Walking back to the campus, Dave saw Jason walking around and quickly turned away. During Dave¡¯s training, he had learned how to confuse people¡¯s extreme perception.
Briefly preparing himself he took out his phone and began walking. The moment Dave looked up he saw Jason staring at him.
Quickly collecting himself and letting nothing show Dave walked up to Jason.
¡°Hey Jason! I heard a lot about you from Dean, I know you can¡¯t talk well but wanna hang out?¡±
Jason simply eyed him and nodded. Turning his phone around Dave saw a line of text.
¡®Sure, how did you meet Dean?¡¯
¡°We happened to be sitting next to each other during one of our classes when I transferred over and we quickly hit it off.¡±
¡®I see, what do you want to do?¡¯
¡°You like drinks?¡±
¡®Not particularly but if you want to hang at a bar I am not sure how well it would turn out since I can¡¯t talk well¡¯
¡°You know what, that¡¯s a great point. How about just relaxing at the library? I do have to study for a few classes.¡±
¡®Sounds good¡¯
Dave walked with Jason over to the school library and when they sat down he took out his phone and sent a text.
He took out some books related to his class and began reading. Occasionally talking to Jason however it was quite slow due to Jason having to write down the entire sentence on his phone for Dave to read.
After around half an hour, Dave saw out of the corner of his eye 32445 walking inside with a book and looking around before seeing him and then walking to a bookshelf and looking over the books before taking out her phone.
A few seconds later Dave got a message and took his phone out and responded. She walked over to them and while looking over a book bumped into Jason¡¯s chair.
Dropping her books she quickly spoke out.
¡°Sorry, I didn¡¯t mean to hit-¡°
However, as she was talking, when she saw Jason lean down to pick up her book, she happened to brush her hand against his.
Her speech froze as well as her entire body. Jason¡¯s body froze as well. The two, one sitting, one standing, froze and barely breathed.
After an entire long minute, Dave knew this wasn¡¯t supposed to happen. He was told that it would at most take a few seconds for 32445 to completely read Jason¡¯s mind and gain some information about what happened.
¡°Jason?¡±
No response. Dave took out his phone and quickly texted a number. Within two minutes a group of people approached. Appearing as a group and talking casually, they entered the library.
They made a bee-line to Dave¡¯s desk and he quickly filled them in and they put their arms around 32445 and lightly tried to nudge them apart.
The moment the two separated, 32445 suddenly collapsed into the arms of one of the people in the group while Jason looked at her with a shocked look on his face.
¡°Hey, what did you do to our friend?¡±
Jason waved his hands and quickly started typing in his phone. However, one of the guys in the grabbed Jason¡¯s phone and slammed it onto the table. Quickly drawing attention to their conflict.
¡°Don¡¯t go on your phone when we are trying to talk to you, what did you do?¡±
¡°Hey, relax, he can¡¯t talk.¡±
Dave stepped in for Jason and Jason quickly showed a look of appreciation.
¡°Clearly he did something to her! Look at her!¡±
32445 was unresponsive as her face was frozen in a shocked look. Jason quickly typed into his phone.
¡®Sorry, what¡¯s her name and number? I¡¯ll make sure to give her compensation¡¯
Luckily, the man seemed convinced and gave her name and number. The group walked away, seemingly concerned about 32445.
Jason quickly looked over to Dave and showed him a text.
¡®Sorry, I am just going to head back to my dorm, good luck on your classes¡¯
¡°I was also thinking of heading back to the dorms, I¡¯ll follow you.¡±
¡®I have to go to the bathroom¡¯
Dave gave a long look and nodded before walking out. The moment Dave was out of sight he quickly leaned against a nearby wall.
Jason walked out shortly after and looked at him with a shocked look on his face.
¡°I just wanted to walk back with you, I feel bad, I heard about how you got mugged.¡±
Jason quickly looked around and noticed the group was gone. He had an irritated look on his face and showed a message.
¡®Where did that group of people go with that woman?¡¯
¡°Why do you wanna know?¡±
¡®She left her book here¡¯
Sure enough, Jason held the book that was left behind. Dave couldn¡¯t think of a good reason and simply pointed in a direction.
Jason quickly ran over in the direction he pointed and turned the corner.
Dave gazed at the empty corner before giving up following him. It was obvious that normal tactics for following wouldn¡¯t work.
Taking out his phone, Dave wrote a new line of words.
¡®34946 causes unknown problems with individuals capable of mind reading.¡¯
There was something off about Jason. There was no way a person would be able to tell someone was following them without training or extraordinarily good perception or instincts.
However, the moment Dave tried to do anti-perception following tactics he was instantly found out. He began rewriting the earlier sentence about Jason¡¯s perception.
¡®34946 has extraordinary perception or instincts.¡¯
Dave put his phone away and looked into the sky. There were not many people who could cause issues with mind readers without themselves being mind readers.
Being someone who had seen the hidden side of the world, Dave countless people who initially could not be explained but were quickly determined to be this or that.
Hearing a notification from his phone, Dave took out his phone and read the text. Quickly, his body became stiff.
¡®32445 is brain dead. We had another mind reader look over her remains and they are a babbling mess now. What the hell happened?¡¯
Hiatus until further notice
So, I have been gone a while.
This story will be put on hiatus until further notice. I actually went back and re-read all of the chapters I made and wow. I made some pretty big grammatical errors. I''ve been off and on for writing chapter 23 for about a month now and I just don''t really feel motivated to do this story.
I admit I have been avoiding the website for a while and just writing small mini stories that I could have posted on here but I avoided because of this story. Eventually I realized this is stupid and I should just post the stuff I want to post and make new stories that I can put on here.
Because of that, instead of continuing this story, I will instead put spoilers around my thought process of the plot and where I was going to go with a lot of things. I may come back to this story in the future and rewrite it from scratch, but until then I will put this story on hiatus.
So there were going to be three main arcs that I wanted to flesh out. The first is the current arc which would have gone more in depth into how the system works and what it can do as well as show how he lives life now that he is stuck in his universe and sector 37 seeing more and more unusual things about him. The ending of this arc would have been signified by him finding out that he can put the system in his body in reality.Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
The next arc would have been the universe competition arc. This is where the levels and powers of the system were going to be fleshed out. All of the intelligent species in the universe would have one representative who would have been yoinked by the system into the universe competition platform. A platform where there are countless varieties of challenges. The main reason for competing? A wish for anything from the creator of the universe. In the middle I would have fleshed out Creator who would have singlehandedly created a cultivator civilization which enhances their souls to become ''gods''. The end of this arc would have been signified by a Cyin winning the competition and wishing for a universe without the system and influence from Jason.
The next arc would have been Jason in the real world. In all honesty, I don''t have a concrete plan for it but I wanted him to get into things like business and entertainment. With a small side of him seeing the hidden world. Speaking of which, he would have been in direct conflict with them at some point which would show how commonplace it is to have abilities but have it all suppressed by organizations like Sector 37.
I was planning to put implications that there was actually a system previously in the world that gave rise to legends and that every time they would get too powerful to influence the world then there would be a great reset like the asteroids.
This does mean that I will begin writing again on here and probably putting out numerous smaller stories to see if people like them. Maybe a few will get continued but the majority will probably be small oneshots.
I bid you all farewell and I hope this gave you guys some closure.
