All players ready: Yes. Year 1 Month 1 Week 1 Day 1 Brann watched from his black-mane dire-wolf as the last building of their war-camp was set up. The Town Hall had been the first to be set up, followed by some civilian dwellings. The next had been the Tavern, which Champions like himself seemed to be drawn for reasons even he did not fully understand. The last one, the Training Yard allowed the recruitment and training of the Amazon Spear Dancers. Already 70 had been recruited and of those 70, 40 had been added to his direct command, the rest would defend the camp. That had increased his 130 Spear Dancers to 170. Brann specialize in Wolf Riders, and had 80 under his command. He was a proud champion of the barbarian Stronghold, Warsaw, and he had very few rivals as a Barbarian war leader.

It was not a small amount, but without finding any external mines, Brann would be amazed if they had anything other than gold by the end of the fortnight. Without any idea of the rate his lord would go through what they had, Brann had opted for the rate the overeager and less experienced lords would do. With the last of their prefabricated buildings of their camp set up, It was now the time for his lord to show off his prowess. It wasn''t long before the Lord Fluffytail ordered the Town Hall improved to a Village Hall and the purchase of another Champion, the Barbarian Nock, to sally out of the camps'' gate. That was 5000 gold spent in less than an hour. Nock rode his black-mane dire-wolf up to Brann leading 120 Spear Dancers and 70 Orc Axe Throwers. Brann did a quick check to make sure his red banner was flying true before turning to address his fellow Champion.

"Nock, Defender of Dread Valley, I was unaware that you had chosen to follow the new lord, I assume you bring his orders for me?" Brann looked the old orc over, noting any new scars since he last saw the Champion. "He paid, I answered, and yes, I do have your orders young one. Lord Fluffytail wants you to scout out the western cliffs and take any resources you find, avoid taking on any ranged mobs of deserters, flag any mines you can with what forces you have. He also wants you to be back at the camp by the end of the week. He want me to take the eastern marches and scout out the valley''s chokepoint, see what deserters are blocking our way to Xaniza''s liar." Nock''s heavy-set voice came not long after. He paused, deep in thought, before saying, "We have a temporary truce with Lord Mompounder, if we see his blue banner we are not to engage for now." Brann nodded before making his way west as Nock went east. Brann collected some stone, some wood, a pile of gold, and flagged a quarry for his lord before making camp for the night. The final resources of the day was sent to him via messenger hawk.

Lord Kitten: So..... Who is Xaniza? Fluffytail: She''s the Dragon girl on the cover, and the main character of the Dragonheart campaign. Lord Kitten: I only played the tutorial and my father gave me this game in a unmarked disc protector. XD: She''s a campaign-exclusive Champion, and she''s broken as hell. She had 90 in every stat, if you somehow lose her campaign, you deserve a medal for failing. Kevin: She''s a one of the good old fashioned Tsunderes, not one of those beat you up over nothing types but a closed off maiden opening up her heart to you type. Mompounder: No one spoil the campaign for Kitten. 117: 90 in every stat at level 1, I think someone at Sharpening Anvils misplaced a zero and the backlash of them attempting to fix the error made the guys there unwilling to touch core mechanics unless enough players were pointing out a game-breaking bug. You''ll love her Kitten, she''s the daughter I could never have. Dave: Don''t send out man dying alone vibes 117, We don''t care enough about you yet. You get a marketplace Kitten, I''ll send you some 10 gems for 10 sulfur. Brann was looking over the map as the messenger hawk arrived. With a quick hand, he unwrapped the message on it''s leg. His orders were simple take the goldmine north of him from the Pikemen Deserters then head southwest and claim the sulfur pits from Centaur Marauders deserters. Any loses at the Pikemen would make the Marauders impossible. He also knew his lord had ordered the construction of a Blacksmith today. "Ladies, we head north and take the goldmine." They were moving less than an hour later. Brann counted 400 Pikemen in total. Pound for pound, his Spear Dancers could kill 30 Pikemen a charge, though if the Pikemen were given room they would slaughter his Spear Dancers within 2 charges. His Wolf Riders however could kill a 100 a charge and it would take 10 charges for the Pikemen to kill one of his riders. Brann had his plan and relayed ir down his lines. With a mighty roar, Brann led his Wolf Riders down on the Pikemen. With a single swing of his axe, he had slayed 40 Pikemen. The Wolf Riders came next, slashing limbs clean off and tearing heads off necks, the Pikemen''s morale plummeted. Brann back-handed ones'' spine into a pretzel before ripping ones'' leg off and using it to tear the skull off a third. 2 hours later, Brann was drenched in blood and was doing a head count to make sure he hadn''t lost anyone. 3 of his riders were having trouble remounting their rides, but otherwise, only light scrapes and bruises. The same could not be said for the Pikemen, Brann would be amazed if anyone could recognize any of the meat, bone splinters, and shit as having once been human. If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. He quickly flagged the goldmine and began his journey southwest to find the sulfur pits. About an hour later, he stopped, it would be a small delay, if he change course wouldn''t it? He had seen something a little off the beaten path. A messenger Hawk found him debating and he quickly took the message and read it. Change of priority, confirm sighting. Was all it said. Brann was amazed of his lord''s ability to see things he had only saw a short glimpse of. He did as was told and went to confirm. He counted 12. 12 untamed Roc Harpies. Fluffytail: I just found a group of tier 6 mobs of my faction in my territory. My hero has all the modifiers needed to at least get them for me in gold if they don''t offer services. Mompounder: Lucky, just tier 3 and lower exp farms for me so far. Brann took a deep breath, steadied his breathing and put himself in his aura of strength posture. Taming Roc Harpies would be hard if he didn''t focus himself. He spotted the matriarch, of this flock and approached her. She towered over him, her unrestrained breasts on full display, and if one was close enough to her, so was her lover''s slit, slightly hidden amongst the down feather around her thighs. Roc Harpies regularly hunted whales, probably needed anywhere from 4 to 8 to have a proper meal, and Brann had been told they ate them like a hawk eats a finger-sized morsel of meat. If she so desired it, and was peckish enough, he would be sent down that gullet whole and alive. He refocused himself and placed his hand on her closest talon. "Will you fight under the banner of Lord Fluffytail, rightful ruler of these lands?" Brann intoned in spirit-chant. Her eyes flicked to his army, taking them in with but a glace, before returning to him. "I offer myself and my flock to the rightful ruler of these lands, Lord Fluffytail and his bannerman, Brann." She intoned back. Fluffytail: They joined for free, yes! Puppylover: Don''t lose them on an utopia. 4 hours later a scene similar to what befall the Pikemen occurred on the Marauders, It was even more one-sided than the previous fight though the centaurs had been taking high into the sky to be dropped or torn apart by the talons of the Rocs. Brann flagged the sulfur pit and made camp not far off from it.

In Nock''s first battle under Lord Fluffytail, he had been surprised by 900 Pixies, and lost Spear Dancers because of the quickness of the bloody things. He found a Ballista for his trouble with the Pixies. The Wolf Riders he had encountered not long after had joined at 60 strong. The fight against the 800 Elf Blade Dancers had killed 2/3rds of the Riders he had and took some more of his Dancers as well. The fight with not 1 but 2 wandering deserters had exhausted him. He had claimed the Training Yard they were guarding and his lord had requested the amazons recruited from this external dwelling to make their way back to the war-camp, Ironmaw. It seemed to Nock that his lord had finally gotten around to naming his war-camp, most never bothered. He remembered each one of his enemy''s way of fighting, and the skills that they had and compared them with his own troops to try and avoid this kind of thing in the future.

It was no small amount of luck that he had gotten that ballista, if he hadn''t had had it, he would be looking at a vastly smaller force than he would be comfortable with. He would need to improve his tactics if he was to avoid another blunder like that. "Matriarch, I need your eyes, south-east by east, what are the colours of the Nagas'' scales?" Nock asked as he beckoned the eldest Spear Dancer over. Without context, most people would think that amazons were humans, certainly they looked the part. That was where context came in. Nock was an orc on a dire-wolf, and he was looking down on the amazon the way someone a little further up a slope would look down on someone. If he was to dismount his dire-wolf, the amazon would stand 8 heads taller than him, and he was the biggest orc in Warsaw. He stood 2 heads above Brann, the Young King of Warsaw, the tallest human in Warsaw, and Brann was 6''10". "They are red-white, blue-gold, and green-purple respectfully, Champion Nock," the Matriarch answered after a moment of adjusting how high she was looking. That confirmed to Nock that he had indeed figure them out as 3 different groups. The red-whites were Sorceresses'', the blue-gold were Stranglers, and the green-purple were Witches. 2 of the 3 were ranged and the last one he had heard was capable of engaging multiple foes in a single attack. Though all of them were deserters, the fact that each one of the three groups was at least 600 strong would be the end of his service for Lord Fluffytail. Thankfully, these guards wouldn''t be getting any reinforcements anytime soon, it would take at least a month before such came. He made camp for the night and reviewed the various messages the scribes back at Ironmaw had sent to him throughout the day. Tomorrow was going to be very busy, but at least the lord had built a marketplace. Game 1: Chapter 4 Year 1 Month 1 Week 1 Day 4 For the 4th day, Nock spent most of his army''s movement scanning for the eastern marches'' camp. Brann had found and conquered the western cliffs'' camp earlier in the day, but Nock had not found any sign of the camp his lord demanded he find. He had claimed a gem pond, killing the Elf Blade Dancers guarding it, but otherwise nothing of note had happened. His army likely only had 4 hours travel time left for the day. Nock decided he would head on a more northern path and not even an hour later he spotted the camp. He made the best speed for the remaining hours of day moving closer to the deserter held camp. It was a Rampart-built camp. Nock put his telescope to his eye to look over the deserter defenders. There were Dwarf Shield Masters, Centaur Marauders, Centaur Archers, and Dryads. 200, 120, 80, and 30 respectfully. The presence of a group of untamed was a bit concerning, no matter how small in number. While Nock could not assault the camp today, tomorrow would be a true trial. He received word that his lord had built a Mage Guild in the main camp and a Tavern at the new camp Blood Gulch. Year 1 Month 1 Week 1 Day 5 Nock rallied his troops at first light as he made a review of his forces.

Nock lead the charge into the Centaur Archers, Taking the first 4''s heads off with his axe he charged down their ranks. His Wolf Rider came not far behind him and killed 3 more with swords, teeth, and claws before the Centaur Archers sliced one of the Riders head off with short knives. The Centaur Marauders chose to charge his Spear Dancers, and 30 was lost on both sides in the resulting melee. The Centaur Archers Slashed again and took another Wolf Rider head off. His Wolf riders struck back and took 6, 4, 3, and 6 in four quick strikes. His Spear Dancers took another 60 Centaur Marauders down in exchange for 10 of their own numbers. Their morale was high, and so the Centaur Marauders were killed to the last. His Axe Throwers threw axes at the Centaur Archers, and in a stroke of luck, killed 48 of them. Their morale was high and so killed off the rest of the Centaur Archers with axes to the forehead.Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on Royal Road. The Dwarf Shield Masters moved toward his Spear Dancers, while the Dryads moved towards his Wolf Riders. The Ballista fired into the Dwarves, killing 20 of them. Nock made a decision, he would take on the Dryads while his Wolf Riders attacked the Dwarves. Nock Charged the Dryads, hacking at one''s roots and bringing her down. His Wolf Riders hit the Dwarves four times killing 25 each time. The Dwarves hit back but didn''t score any kills. His Spear Dancers went into the fray and killed 30 Dwarves. The Spear Dancers Morale was high, and in a stroke of luck, they butchered the Dwarf Shield Masters. His Axe Throwers Threw their axes at the Dryads, killing 4 of them though a stroke of luck. Morale was high, and so 2 more Dryads died. The Dryads tried to chase his Wolf Riders. The Ballista fired again, killing a Dryad. Nock hacked at one Dryad, brought her down, then hacked and brought down a second. Seeing no reason to lose any more of his troops, Nock ordered his Amazon units to keep away from the Dryads. His Axe Throwers Attacked, killed 2, their morale was high, and in a stroke of luck, killed 5 Dryads with another attack. The Dryads continued the chase. The Ballista fired again, killing 2 Dryads. Nock hacked and brought down 3 more Dryads. His troops retreated a bit. His Axe throwers Attacked again, killing 3 Dryads. The Dryads continued the chase. The Ballista fired again, and in a stroke of luck, killed 4 Dryads. Nock, Finished off the last Dryad. Victory was won, but in Nock''s eyes, it was a heavy price payed.

Nock Looked over the captured Rampart camp. The only building of note was a Town Hall. Their were about 20 civilians of various species. The messenger hawk that arrived not long after sealed their fates. With a gesture, his army fall upon the civilians, raping them with a perverse glee. The wolves stayed where their riders left them, checking on their fellows as the civilians were broken by their riders. An hour later, the slaves were used to tear apart their camp, and rebuild it as a Stronghold camp. A Tavern was built not long after and his Lord bade him return to the main camp. Nock left Watch Eye and rode the rest of the day toward the main camp. When he settled in for the night, he was informed of the construction of a City Hall at Ironmaw and a Village Hall at Blood Gulch. Game 1: chapter 5 Year 1 Month 1 Week 1 Day 6 Nock looked at the Ogres guarding an obelisk and a prison. It was a long shot, but if he could recruit those Ogres he would at least be bringing something other than a depleted force back to Ironmaw. Being put on garrison duty while his army waited to be reinforced was not ideal to Nock. He dreaded fighting these 24 Ogres. They were tough enough and hit hard enough that Garrison duty would be assured if he won the fight. Nock made his decision and approached the Ogres. His eyes never left the Patriarch. "Will you fight under the banner of Lord Fluffytail, Rightful ruler of these lands?" Nock intoned in spirit-chant. The Ogre Patriarch looked both Nock and his army over, before looking to his own forces. "For the price of 6000 gold, we will fight for your Lord under your command. Otherwise, we will feast upon your flesh." Came the earth-deep voice of the Patriarch. Three messenger hawks, each carried a third of the price, arrived and so Nock payed the ogres to join his forces.

Brann cracked his knuckles as he got up. Nock was smoking one of his cigars, and Aunt Shiva was organizing her forces into Nocks'' forces. Aunt Shiva would soon be taking up role as Mayor for Ironmaw, and as such she would be the garrison commander till Lord Fluffytail said otherwise. Each of them received a supply wagon for 500 gold, while Brann and Shiva received a ballista for 2000 gold. It appeared that Lord Fluffytail had no intentions to take any of the waiting trained troops in the either the Training Yard or the Orc Tower, but he did buy 2 more Champions for 5000 gold. The first to leave the Tavern was a young redheaded human woman, shaped as close as possible to an hourglass-like figure, and clad in an outfit that was clearly made for her before puberty hit. She had piercing blue eyes that caught every little movement around her. The Battlemage was well known through out Warsaw. For she was The Walking Inferno, Brianna, and she commanded fear in all who set eyes upon her. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version. The second Champion to emerge from the Tavern, made one wonder how she got into the Tavern in the first place. She was a Thunderbird Harpy, and she was taller than any fortress walls ever made. Her skin was pale, her hair and feathers were white and she had an almost child-like face, though that impression was only because she defaulted to a pout. Her ruby eyes, when one was able to see pass her bangs, where beautiful and eagle-like. She was a waif beauty at a distance, but she wore nothing. Her large and full breasts were tipped with perky nipples. Lightning danced around her body occasionally. Her wings were rather large for a Thunderbird, and her hair almost reached her tail-feathers. She was a Battlemage, a rarity for a harpy species. She was The Roving White Thunderstorm, Mika. She stood taller than one of Brann''s Roc Harpies by a good 2 heads. "M .. my ki .. king, I .. I was.. as .. ord .. ered to to serve .. rve alongside you." Mika''s voice was quiet for a harpy, Brann had to strain his ears to hear her, and she had a noticeable stutter when she talked. She was a capable leader of armies, her records of the battles of Northpass and the siege of Ovagard were legendary. She had served his family for 8 generations now. "I am glad to have you along for the journey, Mika." Brann replied as he made certain to watch where she walked. Her talons were still just as sharp as any other harpy and they were big enough to impale Behemoths. There were no further orders form Lord Fluffytail, and so he watched as his and Mika''s armies combined into one. His orders came after the armies had finished combining, Brann and Mika would claim the Roc Nest while Nock and Brianna took the Cyclopes Cave. It was a 3 day''s ride for each. At the end of the today''s riding he went and reviewed the resources they had on hand. His Lord had chosen not to build anything today.
