《Little You》 Chapter 1 She grinned to herself as she sowed a sinister smile onto the doll''s face, stitching buttons as eyes. She held up the little doll, the deep brown curls sitting over the hazel buttons, a red flannel sitting snug on the stuffed fabric, dark blue fabric laid on the legs as jeans with black stubs as shoes. She was satisfied with her work, and carefully put the doll into the woven basket, putting on her long black cloak. The smell of pumpkin and wet leaves fills the chilly air as she stepped outside, heading on her way to start her mission. Loud music could be heard from the large two-story house. Most people were dressed up, but Johnny didn¡¯t bother, he just wanted to get drunk and have fun. He stumbled out the front door, eyes frantically trying to look around for Sam who left the party a while earlier. A huff of air left his chapped lips, creating smoke in the dark night sky. He enjoyed the smell of alcohol drifting out of the open door.Find this and other great novels on the author''s preferred platform. Support original creators! The old woman slowly makes her way over to Johnny, her back stuck in a hunched position. She reached him soon and he just stood and stared at her as she reached into her woven basket, taking the handmade doll out of it. She reached her wrinkled hand out with the doll wrapped beneath her fingers. He takes the doll and looks at her again, too drunk to care that a stranger just handed him a handmade doll. She walks away again as he shouts a ¡°thank you¡± after her, hoping she knows how grateful he is. He soon forgot all about Sam, heading back to his own house with his newfound present. He plops down onto his cold bed, not even getting under the blue covers, drifting away with his ¡®little me¡¯ in his hands. Chapter 2 Johnny¡¯s eyes slowly opened as a groan escaped his lips, rubbing his head with the hand that was previously holding the doll. His nose scrunched together in disgust from the burning smell that was coming from downstairs. He dragged his feet off the bed, being met with his little him sitting on a shelf near his dressers. He hummed in confusion but got up to check where the smell was coming from. His body dragged him down the narrow steps as he wandered into the kitchen, rubbing his eyes. The smell got more intense as he looked at the tray of burnt scones sitting on the hob of the cooker. He had been home alone for a week now, his parents having gone on a business trip together, nobody else could have baked anything. He grunted in confusion and opened a window, letting air seep in to get rid of the foul smell. ¡°I don¡¯t remember baking anything last night...¡± he muttered the words to himself and threw out the burnt goods. He sighs and throws the grey baking tray into the sink before walking back upstairs, waddling into his room. He looked to the shelf where his little me was sitting and soon realized that it was no longer sitting there. He frantically looks around, eyes landed to the window with the mint green curtains, finding the doll sitting with arms crossed on the windowsill. He took a few slow steps back, pulling a closed fist over his beating heart. He was terrified. This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings. He immediately got changed, ran downstairs after grabbing his phone, put on his black vans and ran out the door. He locked the door behind him and went to Sam¡¯s, not looking back at the doll that was now facing the window. He felt shivers going down his spine, goosebumps covering his arms that were covered by the sleeves of his black hoodie. By the time he reached Sam¡¯s house he was panting and hectically knocked on the large door. Sam yelled ¡®who is it¡¯ behind the door. ¡°It¡¯s Johnny, please let me in, I¡¯m going crazy!¡± Sam immediately opened the door and Johnny stared at her for a minute. Her short chestnut brown hair had highlights in it and looked disheveled. Her hazel eyes peered at him with concern laced through them as she took her hands out of the pockets of her cargo pants. He tried opening his words only for the words to get caught in his throat. He began tearing up and hugged her, holding her as close as he could. Sam was shocked but nonetheless returned the hug and rubbed his back comfortingly. ¡°What¡¯s wrong?¡± her voice rang in his ears, a soft tone emitting throughout the hallway. ¡°I don¡¯t know¡± he pauses for a second, unsure if she would believe it. ¡°It¡¯s nothing, just please hold me¡± she hums in response to show she will be there for him. They spent the next few hours sitting in Sam¡¯s room and watched movies together. Chapter 3 Over the course of the next week, Johnny was driven insane, the doll kept appearing in random locations and he couldn¡¯t escape, he tried throwing it out, he even tried burning it but to no avail. The doll kept coming back and he felt like he was losing it. He felt sluggish and tired constantly, an overwhelming feeling of wanting to taste flesh growing in him. He didn¡¯t act on it though; he couldn¡¯t make himself satisfy his needs. It wasn¡¯t until 2 days later when they were all in school that he finally completely lost it. His whole body was shaking, he knew what he wanted, he knew he needed it. He couldn¡¯t go any longer without this overwhelming feeling of tearing someone apart with his teeth consuming him. Sam looked up from her food at him, raising an eyebrow at how nervous Johnny looked, his face completely drained of any colour. He scrunched his nose, as if he could smell the scent of her blood as her flesh tore off her. He couldn¡¯t take it, he suddenly stood up and took her hand, dragging her along with him to the classroom that hadn¡¯t been used since the suicide incident. If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. ¡°Johnny, what are you doing? Where are you taking me?¡± she questioned him and he didn¡¯t look back at her, he kept going and going until he shut the classroom door behind them. He pins her against the wall, making sure she can¡¯t defend herself. ¡°I¡¯ve been dying to do this, all week, I want to taste your skin so bad, I can¡¯t hold back anymore¡± he spoke with a deep husky voice as he leaned closer and closer to her shoulder. With a single flick of his tongue over his lips she barely had time to comprehend what he had said before he sunk his teeth into her shoulder, pulling the pale flesh off, revealing the bone that was coated in blood. The sound of her screams filled the room as drops of blood splashed onto the floor, her blouse being tinted red. He pulled away, satisfied with the blood and flesh dripping from his pale lips. Her breath couldn¡¯t catch up to her, her body became paler as the metalllic taste and smell filled him completely. She fell to the floor, feeling numb from the shock, she could barely contain her breathing. Johnny walked over to the large window, opening one of them wide. ¡°Johnny¡± she barely whispered, her voice growing weaker as the pain in shoulder began again. She couldn¡¯t keep her eyes open, consciousness drifting away from her. Chapter 4 The last words she heard from Johnny was ¡°I¡¯m sorry¡± before she opened her eyes and he jumped from the window. She wanted to scream, she wanted to run but her body couldn¡¯t take it, she couldn¡¯t hold on and she lost all her senses. She woke up what must¡¯ve been an hour or so later, she could hear the bell ringing in the background, bringing her back to her senses. She was confused, hand automatically making its way to her shoulder that had previously been bitten by her friend. She could still smell the blood that was drawn, the scent was almost rotting and had her scrunch her nose in disgust. Her hand ran over the spot that was still filled with pain but hadn¡¯t been missing any flesh. Any sign of the wound that was there before had disappeared, only a hole in the blouse and the red tint of blood was visible. Her body started shaking in fear as she took a deep breath of the chilly air that entered the room. She knew she had to get out of there as fast as she could, she couldn¡¯t look out that window and search for Johnny¡¯s body. She attempted to get up, but her body dropped to the floor again, consciousness drifting away from her once more. Her nose picked up the scent of pumpkin and wet leaves, her eyes slowly opening to see the old woman in the black cloak standing before her. The woman bent down so she was facing Sam properly, her hand finding its way into the woven basket. ¡°Take it my child¡± her voice was hoarse and laced with an evil that Sam couldn¡¯t pinpoint. She couldn¡¯t do anything but reach out her hand to the old woman, grasping the doll tightly. ¡°Help me¡± she whispered before she lost consciousness again, the rest of her body landing on the ground with a thud.Support the creativity of authors by visiting Royal Road for this novel and more. She woke up hours later, lying on the couch in her living room. Her eyes wandered to the white fireplace with a large TV mounted on the wall above it. She sighed, looking at the pictures of her and her family on the wall. Her parents left a few months ago to go on a cruise, only for her to find out they started a new life. Now it was just her and her brother, they shared the responsibility of the rent, her working a part-time job and him working a full-time job. Her brother was rarely at home because he was so busy at work, so she felt lonely quite often. Everything that had happened previously was forgotten, including the situation with Johnny and the creepy old woman handing her the doll she made. Her eyes wandered to the handmade doll that was left sitting on one of the black leather chairs beside the couch. She slowly got up, going to grab the doll that looked like her. She lets a giggle escape her lips as she held it close. ¡°Cute little thing, it looks like me¡± she held it close to her chest thoughtfully. ¡°Maybe Spencer seen it somewhere and got it for me¡± Chapter 5 Over the course of the next 2 weeks Sam felt like she was always watched. Her ¡®little me¡¯ showed up anywhere she went, and she started hearing whispers in her head. ¡°You can¡¯t resist the urge¡± was the first thing she heard as she stepped into the cafe she worked in. Her face quicky grew pale, her sense of smell heightening. Her nostrils flared as she tried to figure out what she could smell. Her classmate was a regular customer, he would be there every other day to get a project done or to try and hit on one of Sam¡¯s co-workers. Kyle caught her eye and waved her over, making Sam finally close her agape mouth and slowly make her way over to him. ¡°Are you okay boo?¡± Sam slowly nodded before finally realizing what she could smell. Kyle had a small cut on his finger, a drop of blood forming on in. She could feel herself growing hungry for the said drop of blood and she didn¡¯t know why, she couldn¡¯t restrain the feeling. ¡°I¡± she pauses briefly. ¡°I should probably get back to work. Kyle cocks and eyebrow in confusion but lets her go back to work without a word. Sam leaned over the sink in the staff bathroom, her head spinning, words flowing through her head. ¡°You need to have a taste of him¡± she shook her head and gripped hard onto the edge of the sink. ¡°No, I can¡¯t do this¡± tears started gathering in her eyes, but it was too late to hold back, she couldn¡¯t contain the feeling any longer and a lust for flesh broke out in her. She grunted as she looked at herself in the mirror. This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. She looked undead, bags under her eyes being evident even though she had never slept better, her skin turning a grey toned colour, her eyes had started changing colour too, shifting to a pale grey tone rather than the hazel they were before. She didn¡¯t know what was happening to her, but she knew it must¡¯ve had something to do with that mysterious doll. She had to fight whatever entity had engulfed her, but she didn¡¯t know how, so she slowly started giving in, her body hunching over as she wanted to taste flesh more than anything. There was a short knock on the bathroom door as Kyle snuck in, have a concerned looked on his face. Sam shot her head up at the scent that invaded her nose once more. She felt like the room was spinning as she made her way over to Kyle. ¡°Kyle¡± she took a quick breath. ¡°Oh, dear beloved Kyle¡± she now had a sinister grin on her face as she lost control of herself altogether. ¡°Sam, what are you¡± Kyle was caught off as Sam shoved him against a wall and leaned closer to his cheek. Chapter 6 ¡°I bet your flesh would taste amazing¡± Sam spoke harshly, sending a wave of shivers down Kyle¡¯s spine as his eyes opened wide in shock. ¡°Sam, what happened to you?¡± Kyle¡¯s question was laced with concern, but he didn¡¯t get a reply, she was too busy grazing her teeth against his skin hard enough to draw lines of blood. He whimpered, tears trailing down his cheeks. ¡°Don¡¯t be such a baby, this¡¯ll all be over soon sweetheart¡± she wrapped her cold, pale hand around his throat, using inhuman strength to hold him against the bathroom wall. She finally sunk her teeth into his skin, ripping his cheek from the rest of his face. Kyle could barely scream in agony, his face becoming stretched and torn. She chewed on the layers of rubber-like texture close to Kyle¡¯s ear, making it sound like she was chewing gum rather close to him just to get on his nerves. ¡°Tastes just as good as I imagined¡± she almost growled at Kyle who was now violently shaking. ¡°Thank you for the meal¡± she finished eating the flesh and wiped the blood away from her stained red lips with the back of her hand. Kyle blinked in fear as she backed away from his body, finally letting go of his throat as he coughed up blood. She made her way towards the sink, the wound on her shoulder that had disappeared becoming visible once again. She hopped onto the sink, sitting down comfortably before letting her body fall back into the mirror that now consumed her. ¡°Sam¡± Kyle whispered as he slowly got the courage to make his way over to the mirror. He looked in the mirror but seen nothing, only his perfectly clear reflection looking back at him, no wound to be seen on his face. He couldn¡¯t even see the girl peeking through the door at him in shock, reliving everything she just witnessed. Charlie could never unsee what had happened.Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. He touched over his face where she had bitten him, but nothing remained of the incident, only his reflection and himself were left in the quiet bathroom. His senses started flooding back to him and he could finally smell the air-fresheners they had set up in every stall. Charlie continued watching Kyle for another couple of minutes, trying to grasp any idea of what had just happened. Kyle gasped at his mirror as a pale, wrinkly hand came through the glass causing a rippling affect, as if the mirror were water, making his reflection waver. Kyle let the temptation reach out his own hand overwhelm him as he felt soft fabric touch his fingertips. The doll was placed on the palm of his hand as he took it before falling to the floor. Charlie covered her mouth, trying not to gasp as she watched in unfold. Chapter 7 Charlie kept a close eye on Kyle over the following week. She started to notice the pattern, a doll with dark brown curly hair and a wide smile on its face, wearing a grey hoodie with grey sweatpants with black stubs as shoes. She was almost disturbed by how vibrant the blue buttons that were placed as eyes are. The doll looked so much like the boy she¡¯d grown up with, looked so much like the boy who was completely in love with her brother Carlos. Charlie got torn away from her thoughts as she heard a familiar ringtone in the same classroom where Sam had previously been bitten. Kyle sat on the windowsill, looking out the window as he answered the call without checking whose number it was. ¡°Hello¡± Kyle¡¯s voice rang with a questioning tone throughout the empty classroom, not being aware of Charlie watching. After a few seconds Kyle said ¡®hello¡¯ again, waiting for a reply from the mysterious person. ¡°I swear to fucking god, whoever this is this isn¡¯t funny¡± his tone was as angry as he could get but soon after his face dropped, his skin growing pale. ¡°No, you¡¯re lying, I can¡¯t be calling myself¡± Charlie was confused until her eyes caught the doll sitting on the other windowsill, looking directly at her. She felt shivers running down her spine. ¡°You¡¯re really everywhere he goes¡± she mutters under her breath so Kyle wouldn¡¯t know she was there. She could¡¯ve sworn she saw the doll start to move but she couldn¡¯t think of it anymore because Kyle started moving so she walked away.Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere. Kyle sighed as he finally looked at the caller ID of the person who called him. The screen read ¡®You¡¯ displaying his number under the word. ¡°That just can¡¯t be possible, somebody must be playing a sick prank¡± he let a sigh slip past his lips and walked out of the empty classroom, just missing the sight of the doll that was now stood leaning against the window frame. Kyle walked past Charlie on the way, her giving him a look of concern but he didn¡¯t notice, he was too occupied with his thoughts as he had his head down and his brows furrowed. Even Charlie looked back. She wanted to comment on what had happened, but she knew that it was too bizarre to talk about. She couldn¡¯t bring it up to anyone else either, nobody would believe her, nobody would even investigate it, and nobody noticed the disappearance of Johnny and Sam. Chapter 8 She started noticing a trend in the disappearances, but she didn¡¯t know for sure what was going on. She made her way to the old library in the part of her school that hadn¡¯t yet been renovated, hoping she could find some answers there. She opened the old wooden doors and looked around the empty space filled with shelves beyond shelves of books. A cough escaped her at the smell of dust particles everywhere around the room, making the room seem like nobody has been in there for years. Truth be told, it¡¯s only been 6 years, 6 long secondary school years and now this was it, her chance of solving a mystery before her graduation. Thoughts filled her head, ¡®who could have done it¡¯, ¡®why would they do this to students¡¯. Her mind raced with different scenarios where she caught who done this to them, where she became a hero and somehow brought them back from wherever they were banished to. She made her way to the very back of the library, the part with barely any natural lighting, making it difficult to see unless the sun was bright enough. She remembered finding what she was looking for during 1st year, the only book that didn¡¯t have any dust on it because it was renewed every year, the book with the name and picture of every student to have gone to the school. If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. She grabbed the book off of one of the shelves and opened the leather cover, showing the yellow tinted pages that was crinkled at the edges. She sighed in relief; glad it was still there. She flipped through the pages until she eventually found exactly the year group she was looking for, her year group. She made her way through the names, seeing 3 of them crossed out, Johnny, Kyle and Sam, their pictures being replaced by a stain from a black marker. ¡°Sam wasn¡¯t the first¡± she muttered quietly to herself before she heard the sound of rushed footsteps and quickly went to hide in a corner where she knew she wouldn¡¯t be seen but could see. She seen a distressed Kyle gripping tight onto another silhouette she couldn¡¯t recognize. She covered her mouth with one hand in hope to not attract attention to herself. Chapter 9 Kyle slammed the figure against the wall, a sharp cry of pain coming from her lips. Her auburn hair fell over her blue eyes. Her body shook in the cardigan she wore. She could faintly hear Kyle talking but she wasn¡¯t quite sure what he was saying, so she attempted to get closer in hope to hear the conversation. ¡°I wonder what bit of you would taste the best¡± Kyle¡¯s voice was suddenly deep and filled with hatred, he was different now, almost lifeless, undead. ¡°Kyle, why are you doing this¡± she spoke with a whimper, stuttering his name. He hummed for a moment as he eyed her, savoring the fear she released. He leaned close and took a deep breath in. ¡°You smell delicious, like a turkey waiting to be eaten at Christmas¡± he took another deep breath before chuckling darkly. ¡°Shame you won¡¯t be alive for the upcoming Christmas¡± he rose his voice and drove his hand into her stomach, somehow finding the inhumane strength to do so. Charlie covered her mouth tighter to hold back the gasp that was trying to leave her body. He slowly twisted his hand only to pull it out, holding a blood-coated organ of some kind. Charlie felt sick at the sight but she couldn¡¯t look away, she was entranced by what she¡¯d seen. She couldn¡¯t help but watch as Kyle ripped the organ apart with his sharpened teeth. Heather gasped once more before falling to the floor as Kyle dropped the remains of the organ onto the floor. ¡°Tastes amazing, just like I thought¡± he grinned as he looked down at the lifeless Heather. Charlie noticed a shadow emerging from another dark corner of the library, the large library doors slowly closing by themself. Charlie took a few steps back so she¡¯s not discovered and gently places down the leather book she was still grasping tight in her free hand as to not make any unnecessary noise. The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement. ¡°You weren¡¯t supposed to kill her Kyle¡± the voice sounded familiar but she couldn¡¯t grasp where she had heard it before. Kyle looked over at the figure who was now slowly walking over to him, revealing the black cloak that covered most of her body. She grabbed Heather¡¯s handmade doll out of the same basket she used for the other 3 victims. ¡°I suppose it was time to end this mess anyway, it was fun while it lasted¡± she put the doll back in the basket. ¡°My only mission was to eat a part of her, taste her, that¡¯s what I did¡± Kyle retorted to which the woman sighed. ¡°Useless piece of shit, aren¡¯t you Kyle?¡± Kyle opened his eyes wide as she stepped closer and closer, backing him up to the nearest window which was now wide open. ¡°Do you really think I specifically needed you to carry out my mission?¡± the woman¡¯s voice was laced with venom as she spat her words out, putting emphasis on ¡®my¡¯. ¡°Please¡± Kyle was cut short as she shoved him out of the window, her long nails digging into his chest as she does so. Nothing was left to be heard, no scream, no thud, no murmuring from others, just silence and Charlie felt like the woman could probably hear her breathing. The woman didn¡¯t sound old anymore and her back was no longer hunched over, she was acting the entire time and nobody had any idea. She looked down at Heather¡¯s dead body and scoffed, kicking the corpse as her black heels got coated in any leftover blood. ¡°This school is filled with nothing but rats¡± she laughed to herself, kicking the body a few more times before she finally made her way back from where she came from. Charlie was careful to not get caught as she creeped behind her, making sure to follow her every step. The library had a shelf with a barely visible trapdoor laid out in front of it. The door was now wide open as Charlie continued sneaking behind the woman. Chapter 10 Charlie finally reached the bottom of the stairs, being led into a large room filled with all sorts of handmade dolls. A chandelier hung from the ceiling, ensuring the room it isn¡¯t completely glazed with darkness. The black cloak hung from a rusted old hat stand, beside a worn-out armchair, surrounded by a coffee table layered with sowing equipment and different types of felt. ¡®This is it¡¯ she thought to herself, finally being able to confront the person who was behind all of this. She stepped closer to one of the newer looking shelves with the four brand new dolls on it. She recognized the dolls to be Johnny, Sam, Kyle and Heather. ¡°After three years of me making people in our year disappear, someone finally noticed¡± a voice rang from behind Charlie. She clenched her hands into fists, slowly turning around to come face to face with the criminal. Even if the dimly lit room she could make who the woman was right away, Brianna Barry. She looks at the shocked expression on Charlie¡¯s face as she tucks her shoulder length dyed hair behind her ear, her brown eyes scanning Charlie¡¯s green ones.Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. Charlie looked at her from head to toe, taking in every detail from the roots that have started regrowing on her hair to the tight-fitting maroon top and black plaid skirt. She wore black sheer tights and the same black heels from when she kicked Heather. ¡°Shocking, isn¡¯t it?¡± she started, Charlie finally looking back into her eyes. ¡°Your very own classmate having done this under your nose for years and only now does one of you pathetic souls catch on to my act¡± she laughed, a sinister smile sitting on her face as Charlie clenched her fists harder, this time out of anger. ¡°I bet you have some questions Charlie, curious why I did it to begin with¡± she could read right through her and Charlie hated it. ¡°Then why the fuck did you do it?¡± Charlie almost hissed as she spat out the words. ¡°Now, now, why don¡¯t we calm down little one?¡± Brianna tapped the couch and beckoned Charlie to sit which she finally did after a moment of consideration. Charlie looked at Brianna with a raised eyebrow, waiting for her to finally start the story. Chapter 11 Charlie sighed when Brianna finished explaining why she¡¯s been doing this. ¡°Brianna, that¡¯s not an excuse to do that to people, it could¡¯ve ended differently¡± Charlie tried to reason with her but Brianna just shook her head. ¡°You can let them go¡± she got up and reached out to the slightly shorter girl before her. Brianna scoffed. ¡°Oh please, Heather¡¯s already dead and I have the others trapped in a world filled with nightmares¡± a smirk rose to her lips. ¡°You know, maybe since I couldn¡¯t capture Heather after Kyle¡¯s mistake¡± she trailed off before grabbing the small pendulum clock that sat near the shelves. ¡°In this world Charlie, people like you don¡¯t win, they suffer the same way you and everyone else made me suffer and they will never get the last laugh¡± Brianna spoke harshly with a sickly-sweet smile etched on her face. ¡°In this nightmare, you can¡¯t escape your punishment, you live without a soul knowing you could¡¯ve stopped all this simply by being a decent human being¡± Charlie was lost on what to do, she knew she couldn¡¯t beat someone with such power, she knew she couldn¡¯t take back anything that happened.Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. Charlie tried to run for the door but Brianna raised her hand causing her to be dragged back by her throat. Her hands wrapped sharply around Charlie¡¯s throat once she got her grasp on her. ¡°Running away from things you caused once again?¡± her voice was hushed, barely above a whisper but Charlie could hear every word loud and clear. She gasped for air as Brianna¡¯s hand grip tightened around her. ¡°Come on, don¡¯t hold back, let yourself become a mindless zombie like everyone else¡± she laughed dryly and finally Charlie fell unconscious. Brianna released an ominous laugh from deep within her chest as the doll that once looked like Heather now looked like Charlie. Her soul slowly became trapped in the doll, exactly what had happened to the others previously, her undead body travelling to a world hidden deep inside the pendulum clock, a world where every day is a living nightmare. She was never going to return, she would forever be trapped in her nightmarish Narnia, all hope has been lost. Her body landed on the floor that was sprinkled with dirt and surrounded by trees. She groaned in pain but could barely find the energy to do anything other than groan. ¡°It all started with what she called ¡®Little You¡¯¡± she muttered before her body stilled, falling into her endless slumber.
