《Bringing Life To The Wasteland!》 Chapter 1 - One - Awakening Sitting in a gaming chair within a small room a man wearing glasses was playing a game, specifically playing Stellaris. After finishing a Galactic War the man saved his game before turning off his computer and walking over to his bed. And once he lied down and fell asleep, he never awoke again. ... God...my head hurts... Opening my eyes I immediately found something was wrong... My vision was all kinds of wrong, I felt as though I could see everything in some kind of...vault? Wait for a second...why is this place so familiar? The vault''s structure and aesthetic were extremely familiar to me! Why does this look like a Vault from the Fallout Franchise?! Suddenly a floating screen appeared before me! /===============\ Name: Alex Species: ??? As I proceeded to panic for a few minutes I eventually managed to calm down and attempt to put my thoughts together. From what I can figure out is that I have somehow died and ended up reincarnating in the world of Fallout. Not only did I reincarnate in a Post-Apocalyptic Game World but I did not even reincarnate as a human! Heck, even this floating screen doesn''t know what I am anymore! Sigh...and the year? It''s 2099...? Isn''t this a few years before Richard Grey becomes the Master? This means the events of the Fallout Series haven''t even begun... Steeling my heart I focused on the present, the here and now. I focused on the vault. The vault was mostly clean with there being 5 floors in the vault. At the very bottom floor which was labeled the ''Pest Control,'' there was a cave. In this cave were various kinds of plant life and even my Spore Plants which resembled giant venus flytraps that could spit out a weak corrosive projectile that could burn skin and if someone got close to the stationary plants the plants could lunge and bite the enemy with their thorned maws. The cave was filled with spores that I could somehow mentally control and sense. Through the spores, I could not only control the Spore Creatures that lived in the vault and cave I could also infect other creatures and turn them into Spore Creatures. Once infected by the spores, the spores will rapidly reproduce for 10-20 days until the host ''dies'' due to organ failure and is then transformed into a Spore Carrier. The Spore Carriers in the vault are human bodies colonized by the fungus and regressed to a feral state, as the colony warps it to make it a more effective spore carrier. This infection vector has green, wrinkled skin (reminiscent of a bark) with stiff, leaf-like protrusions on the back, allowing it to blend in with the foliage. The hands and feet possess only four digits and no fingernails. The body is also incredibly flexible and agile. And wherever my spores spread I can not only create plant life, I can also apparently make water at the cost of Energy. Before long a few days passed as I experimented with my abilities and I learned much in this time. I found a few ways to collect ''Energy'' and they are pretty simple, I can collect energy from Radiation, Sunlight, Heat, and Motion. With the Vault''s door being open from when the survivors of the vault escaped, lots of radiation and sunlight leaked through allowing me to gather energy from them. Since it''s only been 22 years since the bombs have dropped Radiation is still plentiful and quite lethal to those unprepared. While Vegas was one of the few places that were able to avoid the Nukes, it does not mean that it would be able to defend the Radiation carried by the wind to the mostly abandoned city. Besides that, I also figured out how to switch my POV to the two other colonies. The Colony located in Zion Valley was placed in a small camp with some skeletons wearing tattered Vault suits around a small abandoned camp. There were some crates, a campfire, and even some 10mm Pistols lying around on the ground. And in the camp were the Spore Carriers who lurked in the thick grass that laid across the small camp. Then I finally checked the Big MT Colony. Sitting within a small crumbled building was Patient Zero, the first Spore Carrier, the Spore Carrier Brutes, sitting outside the crumbled building was a Spore Plant and sitting on the cliffs was a few more Spore Carrier Plants that looked down upon the crumbled building. And on a cliff, a small distance away two Spore Carrier Plants sat around a fountain with large packs of dried seeds sitting around them. Seeing the immense value that these seeds have I instantly commanded the Spore Carriers in the area to collect them and bring them back to the ruined crumbled building. Once there I breathed a sigh of relief. There are not many clean and non-irradiated seeds left in this world so how could I just let this opportunity slip by me? Chapter 2 - Two - Going over inventory Once all of the packs of seeds were gathered and placed within the crumbled building I then ordered the Spore Carriers to begin carefully scavenging for recourses, items, and equipment from the area. We managed to find these Dried Seeds: Corn, Potatoes, Pumpkins, Watermelons, Wheat, and Carrot seeds. Then I switched my view back to Vault 22. Once I was back at the vault I went back over everything and found that the plant life of the vault has only spread to the 5th floor and hasn''t had the time to expand upward, leaving most of the vault clean, making it much easier to search. Using my spore carriers I completely searched the vault. After a few hours of searching the vault, I found the following: 18x Stimpacks, 6x 10mm Pistols, 80x 10mm Bullets, 1x Hunting Rifle with 50x .308 rounds of ammunition, 18x Vault 22 Jumpsuits, 4x Pip-boy 3000''s, a small amount of pre-war food that''s long since become stale, some bottles of purified water, 23x Functioning Terminals, 7x Non-functioning Terminals, and the Overseer''s Terminal. Sadly I cannot even access the Terminals due to how clumsy the Spore Carriers are, although I can control them and they have human(ish) bodies does not mean I have complete control over their bodies, plus their bodies have become much more like beasts so it''s very difficult to even control their fingers, perhaps in time I will be able to but for now, I am not able to open the terminals. Then once I stored all the Pip-boys, weapons, clothing, food, and ammunition into an empty room which has been transformed into a storage room, I guided the Spore Carriers to the vault''s door. Luckily I could also see through the eyes of the Spore Carriers allowing me to see and explore outside the colonies through the use of the Spore Carriers. And from experimenting I found that this actually helped me when I am controlling them since I could actually see through their eyes. Once the Spore Carriers reached the entrance which was devoid of the plant life that would cover the entrance once New Vegas''s story began, I had them carefully exit the opened Vault. Looking outside through the eyes of the Spore Creatures I found a long stretch of desert before me with a rode far in the distance that both led to Vegas and to the north(Well I think anyway, it''s north in-game). [A/N: Also the world is much bigger to make it more realistic] [A/N: And since the world is bigger, I want to add more facilities to Big MT, so give me some suggestions and facilities names!] Looking at the road that was so far away I couldn''t help but think, ''Well, I guess New Vegas isn''t as small here as the game...'' [+0.5 Energy] [+0.5 Energy] Every 10 Seconds those two notifications would appear before me as the two Spore Carriers stood in the light. I was also gaining Energy from the other colonies since they were located outside and could actively absorb the sunlight. Looking up to the sky I found that there were still a few hours of daylight left, so I had the Spore Carriers stay outside and soak up the sunlight while I waited for the sun to go down. But as I waited I decided to read through the descriptions of my skills which I found out I could do after focusing my gaze on my skills. I then began to read through the descriptions of a few of my abilities. -- [Spore Control and Infection -- [Plant Creation and Control Description: Allows the user to begin creating plant life at the cost of energy and water. The user can currently only make Grass, Vines, Flowers, and Spore Plants at the cost of Energy. Water Creation Cost: 100 Energy per Gallon of Water Food Creation Energy Cost: Varies Food: 20 Energy per Vine Fruit] [Energy Absorption Description: Allows the user to absorb Energy, Sources vary the amount of energy gained] -- [Enhanced Growth Description: Allows the user to increase the speed of growth of plants at the cost of Energy] -- [Bless and Curse Description: Allows the user to Bless and Curse a creature at the cost of Energy Blessings: [Bark Skin](100 Energy), [Solar Powered](100 Energy), [Nature''s Child](100 Energy), [Heal Wounds](50+ Energy), [Regeneration](50+ Energy), [Regrowth](50+ Energy), [Fertility](50 Energy) -- Reading over all of my abilities(skills = Abilities and vice versa), I had to say I was quite surprised! Especially the [Bless and Curse] ability! It looked like I could bless people with the Perks from the game! Calming myself down I had an idea. I needed a large amount of Energy just to use most of my Abilities and the best and easiest Energy accessible to me is, of course, Sunlight! So, I had an idea, I couldn''t use my Spore Carriers because I would be using them for other things, so instead, I decided to use my new abilities to start growing plants outside the vault, at its entrance! Sure this is somewhat dangerous since Green doesn''t blend well with a dessert, but luckily for me I already have my protectors! Plus, with how early it is in Fallout''s history I won''t have to worry about any Major Powers stopping me from my expansion. And it''s better if I start expanding out now since I would be a sitting duck if they got past the Vault''s entrance. I do not know If I would die if I lost my Main Colony and I certainly did not want to find out. So I got to work. First I had the two Spore Carriers outside the vault door dig a hole on the ground. Then I started thinking about using my ability and it worked! [-100 Energy] Once that message appeared I watched as small drops of water began to materialize above the hole before dropping! Within a minute the hole was filled with a Gallon of water! Before the water could start evaporating or being absorbed by the dirt, I used another skill! [-10 Energy] Before long a green blanket of grass covered a small part of the ground before the vault''s entrance. Luckily for me, grass absorbs sunlight so I already started getting Energy, although a small quantity. [+0.01] Energy every 10 seconds from all of this grass... Luckily I was earning energy not only from this colony but the two other colonies as well! So I had around 100 more Energy to use, but I needed a little bit more if I wanted to make more Grass. Well, it looks like I will have to wait until tomorrow, looking to the distance I could see the sun disappearing from the horizon as darkness took its place. Chapter 3 - Three: Some late-night Hunting With the night arriving I was surprised to find that my Spore Carriers had night vision! How useful! While I had these two Spore Carriers leave the entrance I brought up three more Spore Carriers to guard the entrance. Controlling the two Spore Carriers we set off into the desert. As we traveled through the desert we were suddenly attacked by coyotes hiding over a small hill of sand! Suddenly words appeared in my mind as I looked at the coyotes! [Coyote: Level 4] [Coyote: Level 5] [Coyote: Level 3] [Coyote: Level 5] Looking at the four coyotes charging at my Spore Carriers I commanded them to attack! I watched as the Coyotes bit deep into the flesh of the Spore Carriers and tore off chunks of flesh before the Spore Carriers proceeded to use their sharps claws and strength to stab deeply into the Coyotes heads, killing them instantly! Looking at the carcasses I commanded the two spore carriers to pick them up and carry them back to the vault. Once back at the vault I had the carcasses dragged down to the cave and fed to the Spore Carrier Plants. [+40 Energy] Oh? With this good news, I sent the two Spore Carriers back outside to hunt before switching my view to my colony in Zion Valley where I had two more Spore Carriers begin hunting. Then finally I switched back to my main Colony. [A/N: There''s no Lobotomites or animals in Big MT so the Sprore Carriers there will only continue scavenging] Once back I watched as my Spore Carriers hunted down a few different things during the night. And once morning arrived, we hunted down 3x Coyotes, 2x Bark Scorpians, and 3x Geckos. Turns out I only got 10 Energy from each of them earning me 80 Energy. But that''s not what really interested me, turns out I also gained EXP from killing those animals! /===============\ Name: Alex Level: 1 EXP: 60/100 [Energy: 125 Points(Required for abilities)] Abilities: [Spore Control and Infection], [Plant Creation and Control], [Food and Water Creation], [Energy Absorption], [Enhanced Growth], [Bless and Curse] Main Colony(32 Inhabitants): 1 Spore Carrier Runt, 2 Spore Carrier Brutes, 17 Spore Carriers, 12 Spore Plants Big MT Colony Inhabitants(12 Inhabitants): 3 Spore Carriers Scavengers, 2 Spore Carrier Brute, 6 Spore Plants, and Patient Zero Zion Valley Colony Inhabitants(15 Inhabitants): 6 Spore Carriers, 1 Spore Carrier Runt, 3 Spore Carrier Beasts, 5 Spore Plants Date: September 4, 2099 Main Colony: Vault 22(Vegas) Colony Locations: Vault 22(Nevada, Vegas), Zion Valley(Utah), Big MT(South of Hopevile in California) \===============/ [A/N: Give suggestions on new abilities and skill upgrades for when he levels up!] I was so close to leveling up! Sadly all of the creatures hunted only gave me 5 EXP each. Well besides that I only fed the Meat to the spore plants and skinned the hide(with a lot of difficulties) from the animals. Although I do not know what I will do with the hide, I felt it would be a waste to just feed it to the spore plants. I then spent hours gaining more Energy and then using that energy I expanded the patch of grass in front of the vault allowing me to gain even more Energy. Soon the day passed and my Spore Carriers went back out to hunt. So, I had the Spore Carriers carefully lead the herd to the vault where I locked the herd in the where the rest of my Spore Carriers were currently staying. I made sure that the brahmins were fed and given enough to drink before I got to work. These brahmins would be a long-term investment, so I immediately got to work. While the two Spore Carriers were out hunting I sent out three more to start gathering salvage from anything they could find on the road or in the desert to build a fence. Before the night ended I leveled up and even dragged some metal scrap back home. [Congratulations on reaching level 2!] [You have unlocked the plant, Hemp(15 energy per plant)!] [You have unlocked the Blessing, Good Health(50 Energy)] [You have unlocked the skill, Energy Projection(0.1+ Energy)] [Energy Projection(0.1+ Energy) Description: Allows the user to project stored energy into objects or beings to Power, Charge or Rejuvenate] Oh? That will be useful, but pointless right now seeing as the vault has its own Power Generator. Although I could start absorbing the energy from the Generator I decided against this seeing as the generator powers everything in the vault, including the vault''s door and I did not want to find out if the vault door will close and lock me in here. Chapter 4 - Four: Constructing a Brahmin Pen [A/N: I hope everyone can help with this novel, comment down character ideas, weapon ideas, new location ideas, and so on, we will expand the Fallout Universe! And who knows, your own idea might be featured in the novel! If you do give comment a suggestion please try to incorporate it into the lore] Once the morning arrived I put my Spore Carriers to work on making a Brahmin Pen. Using the scrap we scavenged from the road and desert just last night, I started making a simple(and ugly) metal fence. So far we managed to tear apart the metal scrap to make a small part of the fence but we did not have nearly enough to finish the fence. Besides that, I have also continuously been expanding the grass at the vault entrance and hopefully, I will be able to expand the grass to the Brahmin Pen so that I can provide a healthy food source to the Brahmins. Besides that, I have also started expanding the plant life in the Big MT colony and Zion Valley Colony as well! And because of all the grass, I was growing I was earning even more Energy at an even faster pace! Due to the grass, I earned around 5 Energy every 10 seconds! Add that along with the 12 Spore Carriers I have outside the vault and the other colonies, I gained 11 Energy every 10 seconds! Which also meant every minute I earned 66 Energy a minute! So as you could tell my expansion speed was quite fast, I even started adding flowers, vines, and the new plant called Hemp. I found the Hemp was quite suitable for making rope and that''s all I did with it, using the rope made from hemp the construction of the scrap metal fence was much easier. Of course, I had to put even more effort to make sure that the Scrap Metal fence did not anything that could hurt the Brahmin such as sharp or barbed edges, and if it did have such a thing I made sure that the sharp piece of metal was facing outside the pen so any kind of wild animal would hurt itself it tried to get over or through the fence. ... Soon the night arrived and two Spore Carriers of my Main Colony went out hunting again along with a few other Spore Carriers in Zion Valley doing the same. While those two Spore Carriers went out hunting I once again sent out another small group of four spore carriers to scavenge scrap metal from the desert and the road. And by morning I gained a little over 40 EXP and a decent amount of scrap metal which was used on expanding the fence. The fence was around 1/10th of the way done and shouldn''t take all that long until we complete it, maybe around a week or two at this rate. Besides that, the grass has completely covered the field which would act as the Brahmin''s pen and it covered the front of the vault''s entrance. Besides that, I have also started growing vines above the vault''s door so that the vines would blanket the entrance making it harder to notice that it''s a vault. Plus I could also grow Vine Fruit, whatever that is, on the vines which I could also feed to the Brahmins. Besides that, I have also found a use for the hide I have been collecting! They are great for storing water, which I have begun to do so! It was great to store water for later use since I would constantly need to create water to grow plant life, besides I believe I should stop spreading the grass here otherwise within a few days the patch of green will be seeable from the road not far from here, Highway 95 is what its called I found out from finding a knocked over sign along the road when I was scavenging. And since I stopped my expansion here I continued at the two other colonies. My Colony at Zion Valley was the first one I would work on. And since the colony was located at a deserted corner of the canyon I had so much room to expand! [A/N: Ghost Den is where the player would fight the flaming Yao Gui with the Wild Wasteland trait] Well then, let''s get to work! /===============\ Name: Alex Species: ??? Of course at this rate the road and desert would become b?r?n so I had to focus my sights on someplace else, and then I remembered something interesting. On the mountain above there are several mines and even a large Ski resort that resembles a mansion. So, I sent a small group of Spore Carriers to climb up from the road connected to highway-95. And while they climbed up the mountain I continued growing life in Zion Valley, completely unaware that a man with a worn-out service rifle watched from a distance. But instead of hunting the herd down, I instead decided to let them be, it''s better to let them live and breed instead of just killing them on the spot. Besides that, we continued up the mountain. At this rate, it will take a few more hours to reach the ski resort at the top of the mountain. Before me, I could see a large mansion with a dozen bungalows front sides of the mansion with a small pond sitting at the center of the front. And what really made me happy was that there were no signs of anyone being here! And upon search, I found the skeletons of the last people who stayed here. After burying the skeletons and searching the entire resort, I tried to start making grass. [Error, you cannot perform this action until you have started a colony at this location] Huh? I need a colony here to actually grow grass? But...how the heck do I create a colony? With disappointment I had the Spore Carriers return, but not before doing some small game hunting on the mountain. There were Mantises, Mole Rats, Rats, and even some mutated birds. How did I see this person? Simple, I could see a small campfire in the distance during the night. And in the morning I could vaguely see someone watching my Colony through binoculars. And I only knew of one man who stayed in Zion Valley at this time. Randall Clark, otherwise known as the ''Survivalist''. And I will be honest, I respected the Man. Not only did he survive the nuclear holocaust, but he also killed the Cannabilistic Vault Dwellers from vault 22, the very same I am controlling now, that slaughtered and consumed an innocent group of Mexican Survivors. So, I had three choices before me, Befriend him, Ignore him, or kill him. And If I remember correctly his wife, who is probably the last survivor of Vault 22, is still alive and well. So, what can I do to gain their trust eventually their friendship? Then I had an idea of what I could do first. So, using my stored energy I began creating Vine Fruit. With the cost being 25 Energy per fruit, I could only create around 12 Fruits. The Vine fruits were all giant red fruits the size of an apple. Their texture was much like grapes and their flavor was sweet and sour. Making sure that Randall was watching I began putting the fruit into a wooden crate in the camp and then waited for the night to arrive. Once night arrived I had a Spore Carrier sneak out of the place and then sneak up to Randall''s camp with the crate in hand and a note on top. Nearing the camp I could see a small campfire through the eyes of the Spore Carrier and as I neared I found a man who was nearing his 50''s and laying on his side on an old bedroll. [A/N: Randall is currently 46 years old] Propped up against a stump, was an Old Service Rifle. A rifle I immediately recognized, ''The Survivalist''s Rifle'', a unique Service Rifle that could be found next to Randall''s Skeleton in Fallout New Vegas''s Honest Hearts DLC''. Just as I had the Spore Carrier place the wooden crate down and turn around to sneak away in the night, a sick crunch echoed into the Spore Carrier''s ears as my Spore Carrier stepped into a bear trap hidden within the dirt. Although my Spore Carrier didn''t scream or howl, Randall still woke up... ... [A while ago, Randall Clark''s POV] Laying on a roll of fur next to my wife, Sylvie, in our home, Cueva Guarache which is a cave, I lazily got up from the roll. Stirring from her slumber, Sylvie awoke due to my motion. "Where are you going?" Sylvie asked rubbing her eyes. "You know where, we need to make sure that no one else has moved into the Canyon in the last couple of months, besides I will only be gone for at most three days," I told her seriously. "Now get dressed, we don''t want you to catch a cold," I told her seriously before getting dressed. Once dressed I grabbed a duffle bag, put some basic supplies in it and even a 10mm Pistol I looted off a Vault Dweller. After I had everything packed I ate breakfast with my wife before grabbing my rifle. "Be safe!" shouted Sylvie as I exited the cave. Although I was 46 this year and nearing 50, my body was still as strong and healthy as a horse. I had no problem traveling in this harsh canyon, and neither did Sylvie. In these two years that I have known her, I have taught her many things from planting and harvesting crops to surviving in a harsh environment like this Canyon. The easiest way to see everything in the Canyon was by climbing Sun Sentinels which was a large natural formation that lies directly at the Canyon''s center. As soon as I reached the top I had to scare off a couple of animals that occupied the top. But once that was done, I put down my duffle bag and pulled out my Binoculars. With a sigh, I then spent the whole day looking over the Canyon until I finally shifted my eyes towards the abandoned camp of those cannibalistic bastards. And what I saw shocked me. Although life returned to the canyon, I did not expect to ever see such...green ever again... All I could see was some grass and the vines growing on the wall, but due to the darkness that crept over the canyon, I could not see much else. With night arriving I set up some traps and trip-wire alarms before setting up my camp for the night. As I slept I had a nightmare. I was watching over a group who entered the Canyon, women, men, and children... Over a hundred Vault Dwellers wearing a blue jumpsuit with a golden 22 on their backs. Then I found myself looking over their camp and watching as they ate the body of a cooked Mexican child and the child''s mother... They were the last...They had eaten every man, woman, and child... In a rage, I started a long brutal war of attrition and killed as many as I could before forcing them to flee from the Canyon. Then after some months, I found a Vault Dweller from their group who separated from them and stepped into a bear trap. Instead of listening to the voices in my mind screaming to kill her, I instead treated her to health. Over the course of two years, I fell in love with her and treated her as my wife... I then awoke in the morning before packing up and eating some dried meat and fruit. Descending down the natural formation I headed for the place I saw green life to get a closer look. [A/N: This guy''s story is depressing and sadly realistic, in a post-apocalypse where edible food is rare and no laws dictate society many would resort to cannibalism either due to their weakness or their own hunger....] Chapter 7 - Seven: Awkward Situation... [Randall Clark''s POV] Descending down the natural formation I headed north and camped out across the river from the ''Green Paradise'' as I called it and was shocked by what I could see! The 22''s Camp was completely covered in beautiful green grass, what appeared to be green...humans? Were walking around mindlessly like they had nothing else to do, above the camp were giant plants that resembled Venus flytraps with giant sharp teeth. Lined up on the Canyon walls were thick vines that were full of life. And what shocked me the most was that the grass was spreading at a visible speed! I watched for hours on end as the grass and plant life expanded through my Binoculars before something strange happened. Suddenly multiple of the green men froze and looked in my direction at the same time. I froze in surprise and a small bit of fear but continued to watch. Then to my surprise, large red fruit began to grow at a visible speed on the vines on the canyon wall! I watched as the green men began collecting these fruits and storing them away in a wooden crate left behind by the 22''s. Setting up my traps and other trip alarms I set up my campfire and lied down to go to sleep. But in the middle of my sleep, I heard the loud sound of a Beartrap and immediately opened my eyes and pulled out my 10mm pistol from under my pillow. But I froze upon seeing one of the green men caught in a bear trap with the box I saw earlier being filled with fruit sitting on the ground near me with a note on it! Instead of firing at the strange green man, I froze in confusion. Getting up from my bedroll I picked up my rifle and made sure to keep my eye on the green man as I walked over to the crate and picked up the note. Reading through the note I looked up at the creature with a confused gaze. The note read, ''Greetings, I noticed you watching me from the distance, I am Yggdrasil, the Guardian, and Caretaker of Nature. The Crate and its fruit is my gift to you, if you ever wish to ''talk'' with me then you''re free to come to visit, and if you have any kind of problems feel free to come to me in the future, I may be able to help.'' Having a mental struggle for a few moments, I eventually sighed, and slowly approached the green man. "You aren''t going to try to bite me, are you?" I asked. "You...you can understand me?" I asked confused and the green man nodded. "Are you...Yggdrasil?" I asked after a few moments. The Green Man just shook his head and nodded at the same time before pointing down at its caught leg trapped in the beartrap. "Ah...right," I responded before opening the beartrap with my b?r? hands long enough for it...to pull its leg out. Once its leg was out I quickly pulled my hand away and watched as the beartrap snapped shut. Sighing in relief I looked back over to the Green Man and said, "Sorry about that, you never know when a predator could sneak up on you." I watched as the Green Man waved me off, not bothered at all by its injury. Now that I got a closer look at it I found that the green man wasn''t bleeding, in fact, its insides looked yellow and nothing like flesh...is it some kind of plant? "Are you...some kind of plant?" I asked curiously which the green man responded with a nod. "So you control all of the...plant men in that abandoned camp?" I asked and the plant man responded with a nod. After asking a few more basic questions the Plant man left allowing me to start heading back to Cueva Guarache in the morning. -- [MC POV] Well then, that went well... After answering some basic questions from Randall, I got a notification from the system. [Congratulations on reaching level 3!] [You have unlocked the plant, Mutfruit Tree(50 Energy per plant)] [You have unlocked the food, Mutfruit(50 Energy per batch)] (A/N: Yes, Vine Fruit is 20 Energy per fruit, but they don''t grow on vines in batches, so if I get a plant like Corn then I will get a batch of Cobs) [You have unlocked the skill, Blood Synthesis(Energy Varies)] [Blood Synthesis(Energy Varies) Description: Allows the user to create creatures through the use of collected DNA and Energy, these created creatures are loyal to the user and can be controlled at will by the user. Note that, creatures can only be created on solid surfaces and can be easily damaged and destroyed] Now that is an interesting skill! [A/N: Don''t worry it will cost him many thousands of energy points to create most creatures. And I got this skill so it would make it possible to create creatures that are unique to a completely different area across the wasteland in the colonies, for example, the Honey Beast unique to 76 which would allow the MC to get honey and sell it for a profit] Besides that, I also got a Mutfruit Tree! Mufruit is a wonderful food source that I remember from Fallout 4 because to me, it was the most aesthetically pleasing and the fact that it gave 1 food point to my settlements made me like them even more(Seriously, why is the Mutfruit the only 1 Point food in the game? The other available food options are 0.5!). Perhaps I will add them later since the Mutfruit trees will give me access to sticks and wood as well as leaves. Chapter 8 - Eight: Finishing the Brahmin Pen After a few hours passed, I switched my vision back to the Vault and began planting a few Mutfruit trees. The small mutfruit trees that would only grow up to someone''s waist should be able to effectively absorb a whole lot more energy from the sun than the grass. Of course, I used even more energy just to increase the speed of growth, don''t want to wait too long after all. I watched as saplings grew from the ground before growing at a rapid pace until small waist-height trees grew before me. While grass absorbed [0.01 Energy] every 10 seconds from a single patch of grass, I was shocked and happy to see the rate of absorption of the Mutfruit trees. [1.0 Energy] Every 10 seconds from each individual tree! With my 6 Mutfruit Trees I would earn 6 Points of energy every 10 seconds! With vigor, I continued to expand and grow. -- One Week Later. [A/N: Expect some time skips, because we literally have centuries ahead of us...] Of course from playing Fallout New Vegas I learned that Vegas was never hit by the bombs due to Mr. House''s interference, but a few missiles did still make an impact, specifically in Nelis AFB, and several other locations a good distance away from the crumbling city. So quite a few people still live in the great city, but with House not doing anything, New Vegas, as it''s been called since the bombs dropped, is rampant with Crime, Theft, Murder, and Cannibalism. Sadly, Ghouls are killed on sight due to the misgivings about their nature, Ghouls are just people who have been heavily irradiated and mutated. Their flesh is usually falling off their bodies, they lack hair, and their voices become rough and rigid. But, they become almost completely immune to Radiation, can heal from radiation, and have an increased life span. But not everyone who becomes heavily irradiated becomes a Ghoul. Some die, some turn into the Ghouls, and the rest...become Feral Ghouls... A Feral Ghoul is a ghoul whose brain became so damaged by the irradiation that they become Mad and attack everything on sight... And it''s precisely because of these Feral Ghouls, which are the majority of the Ghouls, that Ghouls are usually killed on sight... Well, let''s get off that topic, with the Brahmin now feeding on the nice, fresh grass in their pen, they should be much healthier than any other Brahmin in the Wasteland. And, I also started Growing Spore Plants around the Pen so I can guarantee the Brahmin''s protection. And if the Spore Plants happened to fail, then it would give me enough time to send my Spore Carriers. So, with my Brahmin project done with I decided to start a new project, scavenging parts off cars on the Highway, I know for a fact that most of the cars on the highway haven''t been looted, meaning that their engines and other important parts should still be in decent condition. I know that parts like these would be of great value in the future, and should go around for a couple of hundred caps for each individual part or who knows, I may even find a use for the parts in the future. Who knows, I may even be able to construct vehicles in the future! But...I would need people for that... No... too risky, I should at least wait a couple of years and grow in strength first... I would prefer to be able to defend myself first before I have contact with people, well at least no more than Randall... But it''s just one of the ingredients for most of those things... So, just by its self, it would b?r?ly help someone heal and it is edible but not very nutritious. Night soon arrived and I sent a small group of Spore Carriers to scavenge more parts from the wrecked cars on the highway. Before long a few more days passed and I managed to scavenge a few engines from a few different vehicles and what surprised me was that these engines were powered by six Fission Batteries which I found that I could recharge with my energy with Energy Projection! This means...if I could somehow repair a vehicle I could easily get it working! From the Engines I got 24 drained Fission Batteries and four engines in decent condition. Of course, I would have to do some small maintenance but they should be in working order, sadly do not have the necessary tools to even start the maintenance, by that I mean I won''t use the clumsy and stiff hands for such a delicate situation. Chapter 9 - Nine: Level 5 [A/N: Shorter Chapter for today, I haven''t been feeling very well] A couple more days passed and I was very close to reaching level 5. /===============\ Name: Alex Species: ??? Level: 4 EXP: 380/400 [Energy: 405 Points(Required for abilities)] Abilities: [Spore Control and Infection], [Plant Creation and Control], [Food and Water Creation], [Energy Absorption], [Energy Projection], [Enhanced Growth], [Bless and Curse], [Blood Synthesis] Main Colony(38 Inhabitants): 1 Spore Carrier Runt, 2 Spore Carrier Brutes, 17 Spore Carriers, 18 Spore Plants Big MT Colony Inhabitants(12 Inhabitants): 3 Spore Carriers Scavengers, 2 Spore Carrier Brute, 6 Spore Plants, and Patient Zero Zion Valley Colony Inhabitants(18 Inhabitants): 6 Spore Carriers, 1 Spore Carrier Runt, 3 Spore Carrier Beasts, 8 Spore Plants Main Colony: Vault 22(Vegas) Colonies: 3 Colony Locations: Vault 22(Nevada, Vegas), Zion Valley(Utah), Big MT(South of Hopevile in California) \===============/ I have advanced much in the near month time I have been here and haven''t even come close to becoming bored! I don''t know why, but just watching my Colonies grow, and life live on in the wasteland was more than enough to ease my boredom. Plus, I was having fun. Sadly, I didn''t really have anyone to talk to except Randall and I haven''t seen him in a while and the only other sign of people were the humanoid figures in the distance that were scavenging on the highway during the day near Vegas. Plus, I don''t think Vegas will get many visitors due to it being mostly a hot desert, and there are bound to be many pockets of radiation on the highways to Vegas making it even harder for those that wish to travel to vegas. Well, besides Traveling Ghouls or Super Mutants who can resist the Radiation, most wouldn''t dare to travel to Vegas. Besides, Vegas ain''t all that good of a place to live in... it''s a desert with the only local water source being Lake Mead, there are also hostile animals littered across the place with food hard to come by. Even Bandits liter the Mojave Wasteland... So although I am...desperate to meet new people, I am not ???????????????? desperate. Before long the night arrived and I hunted down a few more animals and finally hit level 5! [Congratulations on reaching level 5!] [Congratulations on unlocking the special plant, Oak Spore Tree, upon planting a sapling in a location the area will become a Colony, allowing the user to begin using his abilities to expand, note that it will take a month for a sapling to grow to maturity, it will cost 1,000 Energy to create a sapling] [Congratulations on unlocking the Neural Implant Seed G1, upon growing the seed and placing it against a being''s head, the seed will burrow painlessly into the person''s skull and implant itself onto the being''s cerebral cortex, allowing the user to telepathically communicate with the holder of the seed, costs 100 Energy to create] Oh?! Such great rewards for hitting level 5! Besides that, the Oak Spore Tree! I can finally go set up a Colony on the Mountain''s Ski Resort! Although it is kind of bothering with how much energy it costs and how long it would take for it to reach maturity I do like the two new gains from the level. Strangely enough the Neural Implant seed was a literal seed the size of a fingernail that greatly resembled a worm with a sharp tip. Luckily it didn''t have the appearance or texture of a worm and just looked like a small and sharp long green seed with a sharp tip. Now then, I guess I will start absorbing some Energy, I want to get an Oak Spore Tree sapling as soon as possible. Before long the day and night passed and by the next day, I had enough Energy to finally create the sapling! Once created I had the sapling and its soil transported by a few of the stronger Spore Carrier variants in my vault up the mountain. And by the time they reached the Ski Resort on Mount Charleston above, the night was closing in, just before sundown, I had the Spore Carriers dig a hole in the empty field on the western part of the Ski Resort. Chapter 10 - Ten: A Visitor... [A/N: So I will list a few facilities that would be added to Big MT if you have more suggestions make sure to explain them, give me a name for the building(like X-22 Botanical Gardens), and a location in Big MT! Added Facilities: - Y-46 Weapon''s Research - Z-19 Armor Research - X-34 R/D Department(Where Teleporters and some of the other things were invented) - Y-14 Storage Depot] A few days passed since I planted the Oak Spore Tree Sapling up on the mountain and in this time I have been working on my colonies. For one, I have expanded the Big MT colony quite a bit to where life covers a large area around the colony''s center with vines lining the trench walls, and grass covering the cliff edges, and the valleys between the cliffs. And at the Zion Valley Colony, my plant life started expanding all the way up to the valley''s river, completely taking over the small section of the valley my colony inhabitants. And finally, my main colony while although, has stopped expanding, has grown much in these couple of days. For example, I have around 12 Mutfruit trees now, the brahmins are well fed and quite healthy, and I''ve also added a couple more Spore Plants outside the vault, adding even more protection in case of an attack. I have also earned enough energy to make another Oak Spore Tree, but I decided against it, I want to make sure that I am not expanding too fast and that I can make sure that the Oak Spore Tree Sapling grows safely. I had the two Spore Carrier Brute Variants and three normal Spore Carriers guarding the sapling to make sure of it. [Claire''s POV] My name is Clair, a Young Woman who was born shortly after the bombs were dropped in Vegas, one of the few cities not hit by the Nuclear Bombs of the old world. I grew up on the streets managing to only keep myself fed from bartering scrap I scavenged from the desert north of the city. A few days ago as I was scavenging through the desert I was surprised to see something green along the mountainside near the north-eastern highway. I don''t know how the other scavengers out here with me didn''t notice it, I guess they were too busy looking for good scrap to trade, making me the only one to have noticed it so far. Although I don''t know if it was just glass bottles being reflected by the sun or some kind of structure, I decided to at least check the place out, who knows I may get lucky and find something of value! Although if I do, I have to make sure that I get up early enough in the morning and head there before the other scavengers, and if I find something of value I will need something to hide it and will need to get it to Old Bill before anyone would notice. This would be difficult since dozens of gangs occupy the city, bully the weak, and fear the strong. After scavenging a few small things I returned to the city and retreated to the small motel room I took for myself and luckily had a good lock, keeping most from entering, and if anyone does, they wouldn''t find anything of worth since I only had a dirty mattress, a few rags stitched together to make some clothes, a few pieces of old stale food, and a few makeshift weapons like a broken bottle and an old military knife that I am usually carrying with me to defend myself. Guns are a rarity in Vegas with only the ''rich'' and ''powerful'' having them and some gangs also have a few guns, but not many. Making sure my door was locked and my window''s boards were still intact, I set up some alarms and held my knife in arm''s reach before going to sleep for the night. Once it was morning, I drank a few sips of precious clean water and ate one of the stale pieces of food I had before grabbing a large bag and my knife. Upon heading outside my Motel Room and locking the door behind me, I could see that the sun only just rose, meaning it was probably around 7:00 AM. It should only take me around half an hour to get to the place of ''Green'' I saw yesterday, hopefully, I don''t encounter any predators on my way there... As I made my way through vegas as quickly as possible and walked along the highway I soon reached the area where I was scavenging the previous day, in the distance, I could see the Green I saw the previous day and began making my way over. As I neared the green I noticed strange footprints on the ground that led to and from the patch of green. Feeling slightly scared, I pulled out my knife and slowly approached. Once I was close enough I froze in place as I looked upon a literal Oasis in the desert! I heard tales of trees, grass, and the greenery of life from before the war...but I never thought I would live to see such a beautiful sight... Chapter 11 - Eleven: A Visitor Part 2 Well...that gave me quite the startle, who would expect a sudden visitor as I was over at my Zion Valley Colony, Luckily I managed to see the woman before she could leave. So, as anyone would do, I had my Spore Carriers sneak up from behind and knock her out before carrying her into the vault where I locked her in an empty bedroom with only a bed before closing the sliding door and leaving three spore carriers outside the door. Did I forget to mention that the woman was carrying a knife? Instead of letting her keep the knife, a somewhat dangerous weapon, I instead had one of my Spore Carriers carry it until the need arises. Well then, since she is unconscious she would be a perfect subject to test the seed for when she awakes... Hours later, the woman awoke in the bedroom. ... [Claire''s POV] Ugh...my head... Reaching up for my head I began rubbing it as I looked around the room and froze... What the hell...where am I? This...this is not my room! As I began panicking and freaking out I started searching around the room for any kind of weapon, since I didn''t have my knife, I ?ssume whoever put me in here has it. I looked around for about two minutes and the only thing in here was a bed! As I continued to panic, a strange ethereal, and deep voice spoke in my head. "Calm yourself, I mean you no harm as long as you mean me no harm," The Ethereal Voice spoke. "Who said that?! Reveal yourself!" I shouted in fear as I looked around the empty room. "I have no physical form," The Ethereal Voice replied. "Then how do you speak to me!" I shouted. "Through the seed implanted within you," The voice told me. Feeling my body grow cold, I asked, "W-What seed?!" "Exactly as it sounds, I planted a Seed within your skull, allowing for communication between the two of us, but do not worry, the seed only allows me to communicate with you," The Voice ?ssured which did give me a tiny bit of relief. "Who...what are you?" I asked. "I am Yggdrasil, the Guardian, and Caretaker of Nature," The voice responded. "N-Nature? What do you m-mean?" I stuttered. "How about I show you?" The voice asked before the sliding door on the opposite side of the room from the bed opened and revealed two...green plant men? "Please follow my Carriers," The voice told me. With my guard up, I followed behind the two strange plant people and found that as we walked through the corridors that we must have been in some kind of underground structure. He led me up to the top floor of the structure and found ourselves at some kind of vault door... "Wait, we''re in a vault?! I heard the stories but I never thought one would be out here!" I shouted as I found myself standing in the familiar area of green I saw just hours previously. "You see the green around you? The beautiful and lush grass along with the Mutfruit trees? This is Nature, and I will protect and care for it and help it grow to the point where the ruined world we live in will return to the point where every man, woman, and child will grow up seeing the beauty of nature once more," The Voice spoke. "W-Why are you telling me this?" I asked. "You see, I can''t just let you go after discovering my home, so I decided to give you an offer, I want you to join me, I will provide you clean water and food, and even give you a good room and the vault, I can also guarantee your protection, and in exchange, I want you to work for me," The Void told me. "I-I need some time to think," I told the voice. "Then we will give you some time, in the meantime, you can stay here, let me know if you get hungry, thirsty, or if you need something," The Voice Told me. He then had me follow the plant men back to the room I awoke in where I lied down and got lost in my thoughts. ... [MC''s POV] Well...that went better than I would have thought... I even got to watch the Neural Implant Seed in action, it is kind of disappointing that the Neural Implant Seed only lets me telepathically communicate with the person, I can''t use it for anything else besides that. Well, at least I can also see through the person''s eyes as well which does make it slightly better. Hopefully, I can lure the woman into working for me, I honestly would not like to have to kill her, I never killed anyone in my last life and would prefer to keep my streak in this life as well, but...with how bad this world is, my no-kill streak will end eventually whether I like it or not.... Chapter 12 - Twelve: A...partnership [A/N: Sort of a shorter chapter today, sorry] Hours later the woman finally answered. She accepted! Once I let her out of the room I asked, "Do you need any help getting back to vegas? It''s nearing the night and quite a few animals come out to hunt and I fear for your safety." "Uh, S-sure," She agreed upon thinking about how long she has been here. "Good, I hope we can move you in before sunrise," I told her with a mental smile that she could somehow perceive. "I h-have to move into the vault?" She asked with worry. "Either into the vault or the colony that I am still constructing at the top of the mountain within a large Pre-war Ski Resort," I told her without worry since even if she told others, I would know and I could find her due to the neural implant. "I think...I would p-prefer to stay here at the vault," She stuttered upon remembering the stories of large groups of hunters being sighted upon and around the mountain during the night and would much rather stay here, where there was protection from the monsters in the night. "Wonderful, once you get back you can choose a room of your own and then get some rest," I told her. "Choose...a room?" She asked confused. "That''s right, you can choose a room within the vault to call your own," I told her. With that said, two spore carriers escorted the woman to a small hotel during the night where the woman gathered her things and returned to the vault where she settled down in a room in the residential area of the vault where I left her to sleep and went about my nocturnal business as always, hunting down a few animals and turning them into energy. Upon morning I gathered some fruit and meat and cooked a small meal for the woman who would soon awake. And as I waited for her to wake up, I just rested and gazed off into the desert as my plants began to actively absorb energy from the sun rising from the east. Although I don''t really feel anything, the one thing I do feel besides emotions is the warmth of absorbing energy... Feeling the warmth of the sun was blissful seeing as I couldn''t feel anything else. Soon the woman awoke and traveled to the vault''s canteen, where she ate the meal I prepared for her just an hour before. Once she finished eating I asked, "Good Morning, if you do not mind, can you tell me your name?" "U-Uh...my name is Claire...I have no last name..." She told me. "It''s nice to meet you claire, as I have told you, my name is Yggdrasil, or for short, Ygg(Yigg, like the beginning of Yggdrasil)," I reintroduced myself. "Now Claire, do you have any family or friends in Vegas?" I asked seriously. I wanted to know if she had anyone that cared or noticed her disappearance and if those people would go looking for her, plus what I really wanted to know, as if she told anyone about where she was going or about what she saw. But what she told me next was kind of depressing... She told me that she hasn''t had any family or friends in a long time, years in fact... And asking me why, she told me that Vegas is filled with Thugs, Murderers, Rapists, and even cannibals. Upon hearing the cannibal part, I instantly thought of one of the stupidest ''factions'' of Fallout New Vegas, the white glove society. Who, are by far, the worst liars in the wasteland... Well enough about those bastards, I then asked about Mr. House and learned that nobody has been able to get into the Lucky 38 since the bombs dropped, and all those that have attempted to, have ended in failure since they couldn''t even get past the front doors. So, House is inactive for some reason, which lifted a lot of weight off my shoulders. Although I doubt a man as arrogant as he is not always watching over vegas and its surroundings as he awaited the opportunity to rise into power. Luckily for me, his power was quite limited with his Securitrons running the Mark 1 program, making them quite limited in their combat power. Either way, enough about House and his annoying ego, it''s time to get to business. Chapter 13 - Thirteen: Trading "Hello Claire, how are you doing?" I asked Claire who was resting outside in the lush grass. "I am doing great...this grass just feels so wonderful~," She told me with a content expression as she felt the warm sun warm her flesh and the cool wind brush against her body as she lies in the cool and comfortable grass. "Say, would you be willing to work as my Envoy?" I asked seriously. "Envoy? What is that?" She asked confused. "My representative, I would like to ask you to represent me and...The Garden of Eden, and start selling some fresh food to Vegas in exchange for caps, tell me, would you do this for me?" I asked Clarie. "I am willing, but...uh...will I get any protection?" She asked with concern. "You will," I told her. I was thinking, if I wanted to continue developing my colonies and improving my strength, I would have to reveal myself whether I liked it or not, one person has already found my Main Colony, and what''s stopping another from finding me again? Especially at my current rate of growth? It''s best if I reveal myself now and start earning caps from the excess fruit and vegetables I grow, with the caps I would be able to buy supplies and materials needed for the Colony, plus...those that try to raid or attack me would be great for gaining new Spore Carriers... Anyway...Since she agreed, I started growing a lot of Mutfruit, Vinefruit, Broc Flowers, and Hemp before storing them away in some wooden crates sitting in the vault, I even filled a couple of plastic gallon containers with fresh and pure water. I then gathered 8 of the 17 Spore Carriers and had them gather at the vault''s entrance. Of the spore carriers I had in my main colony the strongest two, were up the mountain protecting the sapling while the Spore Carrier Runt and 17 Spore Carriers defended the Vault. So while the 8 Spore Carriers would travel with Clarie to vegas, I would still have 10 Spore Carriers and 18 Spore Plants left to defend the vault. From the games, I know that Spore Carriers could easily kill low-leveled players who were not prepared. And since I don''t have to worry about Main Characters most will not even be able to defend themselves against the Spore Carriers. "Are you ready to leave?" I asked Claire. "I am," She told me with confidence. "Then before you go I have a gift for you," I told her as my Spore Carriers walked forward and handed her the combat knife she owned, a spare 10mm Pistol with ammo, a nice and clean Vault 22 Jumpsuit, and finally, one of the four Pip-boy 3000''s. "These are my gifts to you, I hope you wear the Jumpsuit with honor," I told her with a mental smile as I looked at the modified Jumpsuit with leather shoulder pads and knee pads with the golden 22 on its back. "I will...uh, let me go change..." She told me before retreating back to her room. Once she came back, she was wearing the Pip-boy, the Leather Reinforced Vault suit, and to her side was the holstered 10mm Pistol. "Are you ready to go?" I asked Claire who seemed to also have taken a shower and brushed her long blonde hair. "I am...anyone particular you want me to sell the food and water to? And for how much?" She asked. "I only want you selling the food and water to the starving, dehydrated, the poor, or the children, as for the price? Keep it cheap and affordable, and if anyone threatens or tries to Rob you, then let me handle it," I told her seriously with murderous intent. "O-okay," She answered. Besides...I was nearing level 6 and needed some Exp, so if some idiots wanted to provoke and attack me then so be it, some of them will be infected while the rest would die to the claws of my Spore Carriers. No...I don''t have enough energy for that. Besides, for now, it''s best that the Spore Carriers carry the boxes since Brahmin would probably get killed first from a distance by raiders or bandits. It was still early in the morning and only was nearing around Noon, but from watching Vegas through Claire''s Eyes I could tell that Vegas was quite...lively. People were clamoring about, trading, bartering, and I also noticed that quite a few were Thugs... Soon enough, however, the people noticed our strange group. Chapter 14 - Fourteen: Setting an Example As Claire began setting up a Stall with a sign I prepared beforehand that read ''The Garden of Eden, to those curious, approach and to those Hostile...????????????????????????'' Seeing the Spore Carriers no one dared to come close, so I told Claire to put one of the boxes on the old foldable table that I found in the vault and reveal its contents. Once everyone saw the box filled with fresh juicy fruit a panic went across the people. Within moments someone had the courage to approach. "U-um miss...w-what are you selling?" Asked a man who looked to be hungry and wearing scraps who was clearly ready to run at any sign of danger. "Mostly Food and Water for a cheap price, We only sell to the Sick, Starving, Poor, the Elderly, and the Children," Claire announced loud enough for the crowd to hear. "H-How much for the F-fruit?" Asked the man. "3 Cap per fruit, and as an added bonus, if you buy two fruits, then you only have to pay 5 Caps," Claire announced once again. "And, as for the Clean Water we sell, it costs only 5 Caps per Jug bought, with the deal of buy two, get one free," Claire informed the crowd. Upon hearing this news, the people in the crowd went into a frenzy. With almost everyone soon approaching the Stand and buying Food or water and both if they had enough money. Some were also taking advantage of the good deals offered by Claire. Then, the classic idiots decided to show up and ruin the good atmosphere. A group of 10 thugs came strolling up to the Stand with arrogant smiles and their ?h?sts puffed with pride. "My oh my! Someone selling food and water on our Turf without any notice? How rude! Hey boys, what do you think we should take as compensation for such rude behavior? Ah, I know! Come on girl, your gonna come with us, boys take the food and water and kill whatever the hell those things are," The leader of the thugs spoke. Not needing to hear anything else, I commanded the Spore Carriers to attack and infect the men with their spores, without killing them or dealing any lethal damage, I need to set an example and these thugs will do nicely, plus I really wanted to see how far I could infect someone with the spores before completely turning them into the Spore Carriers that I have without them losing their intelligence. Suddenly seeing the green Spore Carriers charge towards the Thugs everyone in the crowd watching gasped and began backing away from the conflict, meanwhile the Thugs pulled out their weapons thinking that the Spore Carriers would be the same weaklings that they bullied daily, well...they were about to find out they were dead wrong. [A/N: Imagine it like this, the Thugs are at most, Level 5, while the Spore Carriers are Level 15, it''s not much of a fair fight even if the Thugs have two more people than the Spore Carriers] It couldn''t even be called a fight, the Spore Carriers almost immediately defeated the Thugs before they infected them with spores and dragged them away from the Scene and returning minutes later to Claire''s Side. The people just looked at this scene with fear. And while it took some time to get the business going again, I focused on controlling the spores infecting the Thugs. I first used the Spores to spread and multiply within their lungs before having the Spores begin strengthening the men''s lungs. I wanted to test the limits of my spores, so why not use the perfect lab rats before me? Once two hours passed and Claire ran out of goods to sell, I had her return to the vault through the desert where we could easily lose any followers. Meanwhile, due to my control of the spores, their transformation into Spore Carriers was much faster than what the Vault dwellers experienced. At this rate, it would take only days to completely transform them, but instead of just letting the Spores go out of control and turn them into a living fungal colony, I wondered if I could create some kind of cooperative relationship between the host and the spores. One where the Spores would upgrade and maintain the body while the host would provide the spores with the needed water to survive. But, while I had the spores upgrading the Thugs'' bodies, I also had the spores begin spreading through the body via the thugs'' blood and through the blood, I gained access to the thugs'' brains with the spores. And after some thought, I made an important decision. Using the spores, I had them begin removing and erasing the Thugs'' memories, making them completely forget themselves, but still have the knowledge of a normal ?du?t, basically, I induced amnesia. But instead of turning them into mindless soldiers, I reestablished the Cooperative Relationship between the Host and the spores by pulling the spores out from the Thugs'' brains and back into the heart, where they could at any time, distribute themselves anywhere within the body via the bloodstream and make the necessary repairs in case the hosts are hurt. The most difficult part of this process was creating a cooperative relationship with the host''s white blood cells in order to have harmony in the body, and as an added bonus, now I can even have the spores help the white blood cells in defending the person''s body from diseases and illnesses. All in all, this took me all day and night, while the Thug''s were unconscious, I had the spores take control of the thugs'' motor skills and walked them to the vault dead in the night where no one could see them. And of course, if the Hosts ever turned violent or became traitorous I could just take control of the spores in their bodies and manually kill them. Although this is cruel it is a necessity with how harsh this world is. Chapter 15 - 15: Forming the Rangers Soon the 10 remade Thugs reached the Vault where I implanted them each with a Neural Implant Seed and began speaking with them. Then after speaking till sunrise, I found that all of the Thugs'' memories were in fact gone, leaving them all in an Amnesiac state, which is perfect. Plus, I also wanted to use them as test dummies for my Blessings. I then had them select new names and had them then equip the Leather-Reinforced Vault jumpsuits before picking their own rooms. Although they have lost their sense of selves, they still had their common sense and memories of the world and of course, experience. Basically, the only thing they really lost was their personalities. They still have the experience of combat and various other things and could access their past lives with some difficulties since I can''t make the brain remove memories quite yet, but for them, it''s like a different person looking at someone else''s memories, they would judge those memories by their own experiences and views. Once morning arrived, I looked at the timer on the Sapling and found that it had 23 days left until the Spore Oak Sapling m?tur?s. Once everyone was awake, I had the 10 Thugs and Claire meet. While she was away, I wanted to ask the Thugs'' a question. "Elijah," I spoke to the ex-leader of the Thugs''. "Yes, Yggdrasil?" Asked Elijah. "How would you feel about having the opportunity to be the first to join the Rangers, a group that I am forming that will not only protect Nature in times of dangers with their lives but also serve as the Law Enforcement of the land, it would be your job to wander the wasteland and enforce Justice in the defense of those that cannot defend themselves, I offer this opportunity to not only you but your colleagues as well, what do you say?" I asked Elijah. I wanted a group that not only could do the hard work for me, but also improve our moral standing in this wasteland, plus as a bonus, while they travel the wastes they would be able to hunt down a few animals, mutated animals, and abominations and help me earn more exp that way. And through these Rangers, I would be able to recruit new people for the Garden of Eden. After an hour passed, Claire left for Vegas with her bodyguards, the Spore Carriers while Elijah and his comrades decided to become rangers. So, summoning up my Status, I examined [Bless and Curse] [Bless and Curse Blessings: [Bark Skin](1,000 Energy), [Solar Powered](1,000 Energy), [Nature''s Child](10,000 Energy), [Heal Wounds](500+ Energy), [Regeneration](500+ Energy), [Regrowth](500+ Energy), [Fertility](500+ Energy), [Good Health](500+ Energy), Curses: [Random Sickness](1,000+ Energy), [Radiation Sickness](1,000+ Energy), [Cursed Land](5,000+ Energy)], [Brain Rot](1,000+ Energy)] I had quite a few Blessings and Curses at my disposal, and now that I had someone to test it on, I could properly find out what they did, besides the ones that were self-explanatory like [Bark Skin] and [Radiation Sickness]. But first, I need to check how much energy I had. /===============\ True Name: Alex Nickname: Yggdrasil Species: ??? Due to the locations of two of my colonies, including my main colony, I could only truly expand at a rapid pace at my Zion Valley Colony, which is what I have been doing and it has greatly helped me so far. Now then, let''s test these blessings! Chapter 16 - 16: Blessings [So...lol, never really bothered to do accurate calculations but...the MC is producing way more energy than I thought... Basically, once you do the math, a SINGLE Mufruit tree produces 5,400 energy per day in vegas since it gets around 15 hours of sunlight...which means since the MC currently has 38 of such trees...he is producing an astonishing 205,200...and that''s not counting the grass...well, I screwed up lol I guess I will try to fix this mess as I go on since I seem to screw up the novel even more if I were to go back and fix(did go back to the last chapter and...cough, up the prices of the blessings and curses] I first started with blessing Elijah with [Bark Skin] and watched as a green glow seemed to come off the walls, ceiling and the entire vault before green particles of light came crashing down on Elijah like a Green wave. I watched as the green particles of energy began fusing with his skin and by the time the green energy was completely absorbed Elijah''s skin was quite literally as tough as Bark, which would be great in combat situations where armor couldn''t protect him. Next, I blessed Elijah with Solar Powered and watched as the same phenomenon happened just like last time but this time the energy seemed to fuse with his entire body. Then after some testing, I learned some things, basically, they would be moving attractors of Energy. They would transfer part of this energy directly to me just like my plants and use the rest of the energy to passively strengthen his muscles and hardening his skin even further in daylight and also provide small amounts of energy that would be transformed into nutrients for his body, he would still need food since this particular part couldn''t be used for longer than three days. [A/N: Basically, Solar Powered does the following(I based this off of the Perk from the Fallout Games): [Minor Health Regneration], [+1 Strength and Endurance], and [Hunger Resistance while Bark Skin adds +1 Endurance] These two blessings were so good and powerful I waited a full hour until I had enough to bless each and every one of the Rangers with the two blessings. I then blessed Elijah with Nature''s Child, but nothing seemed to happen, I guess I will need some time before I can find out what that particular expensive blessing would bring. I had to wait to regenerate my energy since I have been using all of my energy on creating water, food, and expanding the colony in Zion Valley, speaking of which, I managed to extend the colony over the river and to the central piece of land in Zion Valley. Anyway, back to the topic. Focusing back on the rangers, I had them stay here at the Main colony for the rest of the day so they could get used to their new strengths. By the time Claire returned to the Vault with her spore carrier guards, she had quite the haul, it seemed news of our existence was spreading throughout all of New Vegas. Claire managed to earn a little over a thousand caps in just a single span of a day, but she also sold out all of the water and food I had available. This means I need to use a decent chunk of Energy to create even more Food and Water. Well, no problem. After a few days passed I gathered the Rangers once again and created three different Spore Oak Tree Saplings. "Elijah, Vale, and Chris, I have something I wish to speak with you all about," I told the three Rangers before looking at all 10 of the rangers before me. "Now that all of you have gained control of your new strength you are free to leave and begin your journies whenever you wish, all I ask is that when you all face a danger you cannot defend yourselves against, you have a place here, you have a family here that is willing to do everything in order to save, may nature guide and protect you all," I told the Rangers my speech before looking at the three I talked to previously. "Elijah, Vale, Chris, I gathered you three together because I have a mission of great importance for each of you, Elijah," I spoke before looking at Elijah who was staring off into space since I did not have a physical form. "Yes, Master?" Asked Elijah. "For you, you will carry one of the Spore Sapling and venture to Boston and plant the Sapling in a secluded location where you will care for it and nurture it until it reaches maturity, from there you will become the Elder and should search for those who can protect the colony, if you need any more guidance or would simply just like to have someone to talk to, then you need only talk to me," I instructed him before handing him the spore oak tree sapling that was in a dormant state that would only wake up upon being planted into the ground. "It would be my honor," Elijah told me as he bowed in respect. You see, I have been teaching these Rangers about my own personal morals and even a set of morals I created specifically for the Rangers. "Now then, Vale and Chris, you both will also hold such an honor, but the places you will be going to will be just as dangerous, are you willing to tred upon this long road that lies ahead?" Chapter 17 - 17: Tales of the Rangers All across the Mojave Wasteland and beyond, the survivors of the Great War fought for survival, the strong became overlords of their area where they preyed on the weak and feared the strong. These Overlords made it almost impossible for anyone under them to live happily, these Overlords worked their people to the bone until they either dropped dead or were quite close to. They were poorly fed and gave little water, these people wanted change, but none were strong or courageous enough to help provide that change. But then one day, a stranger would appear outside their villages or towns in strange outfits covered in leather with a golden 22 etched into their backs, their faces were covered with hoods and they wielded pistols and carried various melee weaponry. Shortly after these men arrived they would ask around the town and would go one by one and take care of anything they deemed ''Evil'' and ''Corrupt''. They killed the Overlords and their henchmen while they fed those hungry or dehydrated with a smile on their faces. When asked who they were, they would just reply that they were ''The Rangers'' and that it was their duty to bring peace and eradicate the lawless that killed, ate, robbed, or r?p?d their fellow men and women for no good reason, but (excluding Raping, they will die either way for their crimes against the world) if it happened to be just for survival The Rangers would teach these lawless to turn their ways and survive in this harsh land by foraging and hunting and in the times to come these Lawless would become productive members of the broken society and if they could not be taught or simply refused the teaching of the Rangers, they were turned into fertilization for the earth they tred upon. These Rangers preached that it was Nature''s Will that led them on their roads of justice and that people should Respect Nature for it is why they are still alive and that if any harm came to Nature then the Rangers were willing to give their lives in protection of Nature. Then by the next day, these mysterious Rangers would disappear before the sun would rise as if the Rangers weren''t in the Village in the first place, but although the Rangers disappeared from the people''s lives, their deeds marked the land and the People''s Hearts for years to come. ???????????? ???????????????? ???????? ????????????????????????''???? ???????????????????????????? ---- From hitting Level 6 I gained a few new plants. The first one was called Fertilizing Root, basically, it was a root that only needed water and in exchange, it would fertilize the soil beneath the ground, so it formed Symbiotic Relationships with the plant life around them in exchange for a small amount of their water. The second plant I got was Sunflowers. And the final plant I got was called Neptune''s Flower(This one was from one of my other novels)which absorbed sunlight and while giving a small part of the energy to me, it would turn the rest in clean water that would make a small puddle around the flower''s stem. This flower would not only help hydrate the plants around them but would also provide clean drinking water for small animals and insects. All I need were a couple more different types of plants and trees and I could theoretically create a functioning Ecosystem that could progress without my interference and from there, I would truly be able to bring back Nature in all its glory back to Earth, so long as no one destroys it of course. I know that Nature...life is still alive in countless remote places across the world, but most are heavily irradiated, making the trees very unhealthy and making it to where they would b?r?ly last a decade before dying due to the heavy doses of radiation leftover from the Great War. Plus all of the trees were mutated in some way that harmed their physical health even further. The only place that seemed to have relatively healthy plant life would be the plant life grown from Harold in Oasis in Fallout 3''s Capital Wasteland. Meaning that if Bob and Harold died the plants surrounding him would die as well. I wanted to create a permanent solution, where Nature would continue to grow and retake the earth without the need for my influence. There is one other place I know of that has life, but I doubt it would stay that way for long. The place I am talking about would be West Virginia, where Fallout 76 takes place. The reason why I say it probably won''t take long for Nature to die in that place is that it''s just chock-full of Raiders, Cultists, BOS Members, and more. Their fighting alone would doom the Plant Life that calls that place home, plus with the multiple nukes that have been detonated in that place the radiation from said bombs would kill off all the plant life in a decade or more. Now then, I guess I will start growing all of these new plants. Chapter 18 - 18: The Oak Spore Tree Matures Weeks passed and the small sapling that was planted in the Pre-War Ski Resort grew to be a mighty tree covered in lush leaves and vines. And guarding said mighty tree, was two Spore Carrier Brutes, the variant of Spore Carriers that had sharper claws and tougher skin and were much deadlier fighters than the normal spore carrier variants. [A/N: For example, normal Spore Carrier is level 15, as you know, think of the Spore Carrier brutes as Level 20, also I am not going by the wiki and their actual in-game levels since I am just making a realistic ?ssessment of their strengths via levels] Now that I had a new colony available that isolated from society I had another source that would be able to generate a lot of Energy for me, especially since this mountain range was huge and had a wide range for me to expand, plus there were only two ways up this mountain, the road connected to Highway 95 and the second passage was connected to Red Rock Valley, where the future Khan''s would take refuge. This means, if I stationed some Spore Carriers at both entrances, I would know if anyone even approached the Mountain. Anyway, since I had quite a bit of Energy on hand and such a massive area to expand, I first started with coating the ground around the Resort with lush grass. From there, I started adding Sunflowers, Neptune''s Flowers, Mutfruit Trees, Fertilizing Roots, and vines that would hand along the mountain walls. I also started adding Spore Plants as an added protection since I couldn''t protect everything on the Mountain with the limited amount of Spore Carriers I had in Vegas. I could always get more Spore Carriers via the Thugs or Thieves that try to steal from Claire in Vegas since there are so many, but If I infected all of them, quite literally most of Vegas'' population would get infected. So I would have to limit those that I infect so that I actually HAVE people to trade with and make money off of. In the end, I will infect some and leave the rest, it''s the best way I can lower crime, gain Spore Carriers, and keep the population up in Vegas. Of course, I won''t make them complete Spore Carriers and rather Hybrid Spore Carriers that still contain the intellect of a human. Also while I was expanding I found that the future location of the Remnants Bunker was already here, in the game I thought this place was built after the Great War, and it appears it was since it appears somewhat new, the password hasn''t changed to that of the one the Remnants would use though, so I cannot enter the facility for the time being. I have also learned of all the creatures that call this place home, Mantises, Geckos, Bighorners, Brahmin, Mole Rats, Radroaches, Radscorpians, and Coyotes. There are 12 small herds of Bighorners and 9 small herds of Brahmin while there are many Geckos, Mantises, Mole Rats, Radroaches, Radscorpians, and Coyotes, it was a cruel but diverse ecosystem they had on the mountain, and my presence would help balance and foster that ecosystem since I would bring in new plants for the herbivores to eat and freshwater for both parties to drink. Plus the new plants introduced to the ecosystem would give the critters more diverse plants to eat, so the ecosystem shouldn''t face extinction any time soon since the animals would have enough food to start reproducing to ensure their future survival. And to protect this ecosystem and my new colony on the mountain, I planned to build gates made from junk but that plan would take a while before I can act on it since I would have to buy the Scrap and Junk from vegas and then get it transported here. As for hunting and leveling up, I won''t hunt inside the ecosystem since I do not wish to destroy or heavily affect it, so when my Spore Carriers go out to hunt in the night, they will be hunting in the desert and sewers of Vegas which were chock-full of critters, the sewers even had quite a few Feral Ghouls wandering within it, so not many people go into the sewers at all unless they have a death wish or are armed to defend themselves, but my Spore Carriers are able to just avoid these people since they don''t have Night Vision and cannot see the Spore Carriers hunting within the dark sewers. I also found quite a bit of goodies within the junk-filled sewers. I have found two safes that contained some pre-war cash and one of them even had an old .44 revolver with some boxes of ammo near it. I have also found dozens of caps and scrap metal which I brought back to the Vault where I stored them for later use. /===============\ True Name: Alex Nickname: Yggdrasil Species: ??? I have made sure that all of the materials I have gotten were metallic or elastic in nature so that the two gates that would be built would be made of durable material that could last for a while and handle some damage. And the sewers were just filled to the brim with such kinds of materials, there were also more than a dozen different Scrap Yards, but it''s hard to scavenge from them since scavengers can be found there day and night, so I can''t really gather scrap from there, so I have to resort to gathering scrap from the sewers, plus most of the good scrap has probably already been looted from the scrap yards by the scavengers. I have also infected 4 more men with Spores after they attempted to attack Claire via an ambush as she was returning home. After a few hours passed they were completely transformed into Spore Carrier Hybrids with completely new identities. Just like last time, I blessed them with several different abilities before remembering that I haven''t blessed Claire with anything yet. "Claire," I spoke out. "Yes?" Claire asked as she was sitting on her bed reading a simple comic she bought with some of the caps she earned. "I am about to give you my blessings, do not panic," I told her before the same green energy began to flow from all around her and into her body. I gave her the following blessings: [Bark Skin], [Solar Powered], and [Nature''s Child] for a total of 12,000 Energy. As for the Hybrid Spore Carriers, I had them start training to be guards for Claire so that I could start replacing the spore carriers protecting her with the more human Hybrid Spore Carriers. In the end, this would actually bring in some more customers seeing as not everybody would be comfortable being around Spore Carriers that look like plant monsters. Plus the Hybrid Spore Carriers would be much more effective at Guarding since I either had to control the Spore Carriers personally or let their bestial intelligence take control instead. But when it comes to guarding Claire, I had to always take control since the Spore Carriers would probably just go attack and kill everyone that even looked at Claire wrongly. Also, the Human Spore Carriers would be able to use guns unlike normal Spore Carriers, so that''s another reason why I would prefer to have Human Spore Carriers protect Claire. So, I had the four Human Spore Carriers recently turned go infect four more random thugs and bring them back to the Vault. Another week passed and I noticed that my Rangers were indeed hunting, although I don''t know what seeing as I haven''t looked through their eyes or connected to their minds to talk in a while. What I do know is that they have definitely been hunting quite a bit seeing as I just hit level 7 already. From level 7 I gained a few things, multiple plants, and even two new blessings [Rooted(5,000 Energy)] and [Life Giver(10,000 Energy)] As for the plants, I got the [Japanese Evergreen Oak Tree(50,000 Energy)], [Cold Wind Flower(15,000 Energy)], and [White Gold Flower(10,000 Energy)]. As for the tree, I already knew what it was, but I haven''t heard of the two flowers that came along with it. Once I grew the flowers I was quite surprised. Turns out that the Cold Wind Flower worked a lot like Neptune''s Flower and absorbed energy just like it, but instead of creating a puddle of water around its base, the Cold Wind Flower would actually begin turning the energy it absorbed into cool air and would begin cooling of its surroundings. If I had many of these flowers in one area I would be able to physically change an area to be habitable for plants that shouldn''t even be able to grow in this hot place. As for the White Gold Flower, it was more confusing...it was a flower that held a small amount of Salt... It basically absorbed the salt from the nutrients in the ground and instead of getting the salt stuck in their roots it instead moved the salt up to the flower''s petals where the salt would build up. And once the flower had too much salt in its petals, it would simply shed the petals away and grow new ones, hence helping it survive in such environments where most if not all plants would be unable to survive in. [End of Chapter] Chapter 20 - 20: November 15th-30th, 2099 [A/N: So math(which I am not good at), there are 52 Mutfruit Trees that produce 280,800 Energy, along with(random calculation btw) 400,000 Energy from grass, next we have the Hemp Plants, which can be used to create rope and other things but do not create much energy, so let''s say, 10,000 Energy since there are not many of them. Next, we have the Vines which produce Vine Fruit, I would say that the Vines produce around 300,000 Energy since there is not an exact number of them. After that, we have the Broc Flowers which there are only a few of which give around 5 Energy. Finally, we have the Spore Oak Trees, which do not produce energy but instead consume it for a total of let''s say...50,000 Energy per day for every Tree, your thoughts on my math? If we total of this we get, 940,805 Energy per day(700,000 + 280,800 + 5 + 10,000 - 50,000)] Since I obtained such great plants, I definitely wanted to use them, first I started off by growing hundreds of Cold Wind Flowers in each of my colonies since most of them were located in hot and dry locations. Especially my two colonies in Vegas. So, I focused mostly on putting the flowers outside the vault and on the mountain. After that, I planted a few of the White Gold Flowers around the mountain before planting a little over a hundred Japanese Evergreen Oak Tree, which cost 50,000 Energy per sapling. I had a little over 15 million points of energy at my disposal and not many ways to actually use all of the said energy. Heck, I was still gaining more and more energy at a constant rate. But I have also been using a little over 100,000 every day from just making the fruit and water. I was also planning on expanding my Food and Water so that I could solidify my monopoly on the Fruit and Clean Water Industry in vegas. I also noticed that due to my low pricing on my Food and Water and the large quantity of food and water I was selling, the overall productivity of Vegas has increased due to the fact that most people can afford my food and water. I made sure that even the kids of Vegas were fed and hydrated free of charge, I did this for multiple reasons. Kids are the future, and since I have been making sure to give them a good impression of us, they would be more likely to help us in the future and could be of some help. Besides that, I would also be able to use the salt gathered from the White Gold Flowers and sell it to Vegas for even more Caps. Speaking of which, all if not most of the caps I gained from selling the food and water were used on buying Medical Supplies and ammo. I don''t even know if any of the Brahmin Barons have risen to power yet. If they have, then they would still be in California at least until the NCR(New Californian Republic) is formed. Which based on the year...won''t be for a while. To be exact, if I remember correctly, the NCR is not formed until 2186, which is 87 years from now, well at least Vegas should get traders long before that. ... Days passed as I continued working on various things and have managed to finish construction of one of the gates, specifically the one that connects to Highway 95. I then started on the construction of the other gate but I should have it done in a week or two so long as I keep finding good scrap and once I get some Japanese Evergreen Oak Trees grown and m?tur?d I should be able to use them as wood for part of the gate. In this week I noticed that my Rangers continued to hunt and do their jobs, I even talked with some of them from time to time giving them guidance, due to their work I am almost to level 8. In this time I have also produced quite a few plants and have quite a few of the Japanese Evergreen Oak Tree Saplings scattered across the mountain. I also don''t have to create much water in my Zion Valley colony due to the river there. Anyway, I am going to go see how Elijah''s and the other''s journeys are doing. [A/N: It seems some of you do not know what Spore Carriers look like, here you go(image here)] Chapter 21 - 21: Catching up, November 30th, 2099 Walking down an old dirt road, a man wearing a cloak could be seen walking without any problems. His clothes were tattered and if someone were to examine closer, they would see that underneath the leather cloak, was a blue jumpsuit with the golden number, 22, etched into its back and just on the man''s back, was a knapsack filled with some food and water. If someone were to see the man''s face, they would see a handsome young man but with his face covered in dirt and grime, most wouldn''t recognize such a quality. Suddenly a deep, ethereal and ancient voice spoke into the man''s mind. "Elijah...how goes your journey?" The voice asked. "Master...it goes well...I am currently within the pre-war state of Nebraska and soon will reach the state of Iowa. I would say that I am halfway through my Journey," I told Yggdrasil, the guardian of nature. "And your encounters?" Master asked. "I have encountered several villages and tribes along with a couple of Raider Camps and disposed of them," I informed master. "I have taught them the Teachings of Nature and how to effectively hunt and gather enough food to feed themselves without damaging the environment," I informed master. "Good job, I will talk with you once your reach your destination, may Mother Nature bless you," Master told me before I feel this presence leave. With prideful steps, I continued to walk towards Boston while carrying the sapling that was gifted to me by Master. ... After disconnecting my mind from Elijah''s, I then connected with the minds of the two others and learned of their situations. I sent two of them in the same direction and the last the other direction. Elijah''s destination was Post-War Boston and future home to Fallout 4. Vale''s Destination was the Capital Wasteland, the future home of Fallout 3. And finally, I sent Chris to California where I wanted him to start up a covert Colony where we could watch and spy on the NCR''s future movements. I do not know if I would be immune to the plague or even if my inhabitants would be immune and would rather not test that theory. Once the Scorch Beast problem is dealt with I will probably blend in with the other factions that would move into the area after the Scorches were dealt with. Besides that, I wanted to begin preparing for the eventuality that is the Main Characters. I did not know if all of the MCs of Fallout would be peaceful and I would rather start preparing just in case there is a rotten apple that fell too far from the tree. In any case, even if I was preparing for the MCs, I was also preparing for the future major powers of the wasteland. Namely the Brotherhood of Steel, the Enclave, The Insitute, The NCR, and Caeser''s(no idea if I spelled it right) Legion. Each of these powers would be a major threat to me in the future, especially the factions that were technologically advanced, namely the Brotherhood of Steel, The Enclave, and the Institute, the remnants of Pre-War America. The Brotherhood of Steel are descendants of Awol Soldiers from just before the bombs dropped while the Enclave is the descendants of the government of America. And finally, the members of the Institute are the descendants of a group of American scientists. Of the three the faction that I would most likely be able to befriend would be the Institution since they are not nearly as aggressive or xenophobic as the other two factions. And naturally, besides the Insitute, there was only one other place that I could currently think of that was as technologically advanced as the institute, and that would be the scientists in Big MT, where Patient Zero and another one of my colonies lie. Although Patient Zero was the first Spore Carrier there''s not all that much that differs it from the other Spore Carriers besides it being the strongest variant of a Spore Carrier, the Beast Variant, meaning it had sharper, longer, and more durable claws meant for fighting, thicker skin, and increased intelligence that made it a very deadly enemy that even a well-prepared player would find troubling to beat. [A/N: This is more for lore reasons, in the game it''s pretty easy to kill the FIRST spore carrier, which makes no sense to me, I expected a boss fight and yet all I got was a slightly beefier spore carrier] If we were to go in order, the levels of strength between the Sprore Carrier would be Spore Carrier(Normal Variant)-->Spore Carrier(Brute Variant)--->Spore Carrier(Savage Variant)--->Spore Carrier(Beast Variant). Currently, of all inhabitants including the rangers, Patient Zero is still the strongest and that was by a landslide. I bet that Patient Zero even had the power to fight a man in power armor! A suit of armor that basically makes its wearer as durable as a Tank... That''s right, Patient Zero had claws strong, durable, and sharp enough to even damage something like that! Of course, what did make this much more acceptable was the fact that Patient Zero was almost three times the size of a normal Spore Carrier, and its body was built like a tank! Thick skin as tough as thick wood, thick and strong tendons and muscles, and an absurd speed that allowed it to run on all fours as fast as a dog or other quadrupedal animal. And since its body was completely transformed into a Fungal Colony, it didn''t bleed or have any internal organs making the monster all the harder to kill. Chapter 22 - 22: December 7th-14th, 2099 [A/N: Should I start time-skipping? MC is progressing fast and we have a while until Fallout 1] A week passed as I found that I did not have much to do other than watching and talking with my inhabitants. And thanks to my Rangers, I even hit level 8 giving me quite a bit of new things. The first thing I got was two new skills, [Wood Imp Creation] and [Evolve]. It cost 5,000 Energy to create a single wood imp and it even cost more energy just to maintain them at 500 Energy a day. And after creating a few of them, I was surprised to find that these fascinating creatures were basically guardians of the forest, they could hide and meld with other trees and attack any unsuspecting trespassers before they can react. (Image here) The small wooden creatures could even change their arms into sharp wooden weapons if or when the need arises as well, making them great protectors for the large forest I am erecting on the mountain. On the other hand, [Evolve] seemed to let me evolve a plant or spore creature at the cost of 50,000 Energy. Specifically, the Southern Live Oak and the Black Cherry Tree which naturally grew black cherries using most of the energy it got from the sun, sending a bit to me. I also got a few more plants. Namely, the Xander Root, Potato, and the Punga fruit from Fallout 3''s Point Lookout DLC. Now that I had Xander Root and Broc Flowers I could mass produce Stimpacks so long as I had empty syringes and someone with the skills needed in creating the stimpacks. Other than that, I also got a new blessing and curse. [Restore Mind(+5,000 Energy)] and [Degrate Mind(+5,000 Energy)] I found that the costs that are listed along with the blessings and curses were the cost per second, meaning it would cost +5,000 Energy per second if I were restoring a person''s mind. ... The next day I began spamming out all of the new plants I got from level 8. I would even get some new food items to sell to Vegas, especially the Punga fruit which could both heal someone and rid their body of radiation. Besides that, I have also begun mass producing Wood Imps in Big MT and once I actually have enough imps, I will finally be able to start expanding further in Big MT. I just hope that my Wood Imps would be able to fight back the robots and scientists of Big MT. [A/N: Note that Dr. Mobious has yet to mess with the minds of the other Think Tank Scientists as of yet, not until the Cazadors and Night Stalkers escape, which means the scientists of Big MT are still somewhat sane, it also means that the Think Tank will most likely be the MCs biggest enemy early on] Although I still have a while before I even make a move in Big MT, I did make sure to scout out the surroundings of the Botanical Gardens my colony is currently located within. Other than that, back in Vegas my reputation only continued to increase as we brought in more food and water into Vegas. Not to mention all the good we were doing for the young, elderly, sick, or hurt made our standing even higher in Vegas. And what made our standing even higher was that a few of my Rangers took care of some of the more...notorious gangs in Vegas, making it much safer for the cities inhabitants. ... With the caps we have been earning from the people of vegas, we have been buying pre-war books, comics, bobbleheads, ammo, tech-scrap, music holotapes, educational holotapes, and more. Of course, this stuff was quite expensive, so we also bartered some food and water for some of the things making it much cheaper for us. In my spare time, I also taught my inhabitants all I knew when it came to intellectual studies such as math, science, and etc. Education is a rarity in the wasteland due to the harshness of the wastes and the lack of books and teachers and most of those that do teach people things like Math or Medicine b?r?ly know enough to even teach someone else the basics. It''s sad really. Luckily there are many places in the wasteland that still have intact books and terminals just filled with random bits of knowledge. I also had another goal for gathering all of these things, I wanted to create a library in which my inhabitants could learn what they wanted to learn and discover what they were talented in. Chapter 23 - 23: January and February, 2100 Half a month passed in the blink of an eye and the new year has begun, it''s now 2100 and 23 years have officially passed since the bombs dropped. In the half a month that passed I have gotten a whole lot more books and even began recruiting some ?du?ts and adopting some children into our...tribe if you will. The Adults that were chosen were altruistic, nice, and trusting, rare traits in this post-apocalyptic land. As for the children that we adopted into the tribe, we chose mainly the orphaned. All of our new residents have taken up residency on the Mountain in the Ski Resort. And speaking of the mountain, quite a few of the trees have grown to their m?tur? stage in life before they returned to the growth of a regular tree. Other than that, to secure the children''s safety, I even went as far as to infect all of the animals on the mountain with spores that would react just in case they decided to try and harm the children or any of my other inhabitants. ... A week passed as the new residents tried getting used to the mountain and their new lush environment filled with fresh air and no radiation. They found it difficult to adjust to this completely different environment they found themselves in. All of the Adults that I have recruited were b?r?ly in their 20s, meaning they were either born just before the war and cannot even remember the bombs dropping, or they were born just after the bombs dropped. Only those over the age of 25 in Vegas still remember the ''Old World'' and its beauty before they all ruined the land around them. ... Two weeks passed and February came rolling in, we have just begun selling Punga Fruit and fresh wood to vegas and have been making a killing. A fruit that could provide nutrients, heal and remove radiation is a godsend in this world, and we were selling large quantities of it which were selling out quickly. Other than that, all of my chosen Rangers have finally reached their destinations besides Chris who reached his location a while ago and set up the Yosemite Valley, northeast of Mariposa Military Base. I had Vale set up in the nice spot that would be where Harold and Oasis settled in the future which was a hidden valley that only had a single entrance in the northern part of the Capital Wasteland. And with Elijah who was in the Commonwealth, I had him settle the colony in Sanctuary, the pre-war home of the Sole Survivor and the first place the sole survivor will see when he awakes. And I may or may not want to prevent the deaths of all of the others in the vault who died due to mechanical issues after the whole frozen Vault woke due to the institute''s objective in kidnapping Shaun. On one hand, Shaun who eventually becomes the leader of the institute and called ''Father'' will make the institute much easier to cooperate with, but on the other hand, if I do let the institute take Shaun, his father or mother who wakes up will not be all that happy with me, I have no idea what would happen if I prevented all of this from happening though. I will just decide when the time comes, it''s best not to dwell on the future that''s literally centuries away. And finally, I also leveled up to level 9. I got a new skill and even more plants. The new skill I got was called Insect Creation which would allow me to start building up the ecosystem from the ground up, I had plants and herbivore/carnivore animals, but no insects which only damaged the ecosystem further. Well, there are still some insects left in the world but they have been horribly mutated, for example, the disgusting bloat flies which mutated to become giant bugs that shits out a disgusting projectile that melts flesh. There are normal flies and bugs still left in the world, but they are few and far with those still remaining being heavily mutated... So, gaining this skill was great seeing as I could restore the world''s ecosystem once I get primary consumers, secondary consumers, and tertiary consumers. Now onto the plants. The rest was just basic Bushes and Shrubbery. Chapter 24 - 24: March through July of 2100 [A/N: Next chapter or the chapter after I will probably start doing large time skips that go over a few years of events that contain both minor and major events] Once March came rolling in, I began teaching both the Adults and Children how to read and write English which the children were learning much faster than the ?du?ts. Other than that I have also started teaching them basic Health and Hygiene that would definitely help keep them healthy in this post-apocalyptic world. Other than that I also recruited some of the men and women that lived Pre-War and found that I was lucky enough to have recruited a teacher from Pre-War who was now in her 50s. I asked all of the Pre-War residents of my Tribe to start teaching some of the younglings their trained crafts. Of the 20 Pre-War Residents that I have recruited, 2 were trained to be Police Officers, another was trained in Mechanics, another was a teacher Pre-War, and the rest worked boring office jobs pre-war so I had them help by gathering fruits, cleaning the library which was located in the room that would serve as Doc Henry''s Lab in the future. Other than that I have also gathered the Adults and had them begin construction on a couple more bungalows since we needed more housing for the current and future population that would live on the peaceful mountain. ... Two more months passed and June arrived before I finally hit Level 10 and got quite a bit from this particular level...especially one skill that caught my attention almost immediately. [Male Elder Spriggan Avatar] A skill that allowed me to take on a Physical Avatar of a Wooden Being called a Spriggan that had the shape of a human. Speaking of my Zion Valley colony, it was my current biggest colony since my growth and ''green'' has covered 40%-45% of the valley and with every passing day it only continued to increase in size, soon enough my expansion would reach Clark''s abode. Almost half of Zion has turned into a Paradise when compared to the rest of the wasteland if you think about it. Other than that I also got another skill called [Forest Spirit] that allowed me to create a literal magical being the size of a fist that was invisible to the human eye when they wanted to be. The Forest Spirits were small humanoid people that had translucent wings on their backs and long ears that made them look much like elves. I found that the Forest Spirits'' purpose was to maintain and protect the forests they live in and boy were they expensive... 100,000 Energy per Forest Spirit and an additional 25,000 Energy Per month to maintain them... Although that did b?r?ly dent my daily energy absorption rate. Speaking of which, after trying out my Spriggan Avatar I found that it cost half a million energy per DAY for however long I used it which still did not cause my Energy Gain to drop to negative. Other than that, the younger residents of my vault have learned the alphabet, how to write, and the sounds ?ssociated with the words/letters, and have also been taught addition and subtraction. ... [July 2100] Once July arrived(I don''t know how else to start these paragraphs lol), I noticed that my residents have begun appearing much healthier due to the wide variety of healthy foods I have available for them. For example, I had fresh and properly COOKED meat, fresh vegetables, and fruits, and even had fresh clean water for them. When compared to the rest of the wasteland, the food my residents were eating could only be considered luxurious. Besides that, if you also added the blessings I have placed on each and every one of them, they are by far the healthiest people in all of the wasteland. Other than that, the residents have even begun making relationships with each other with multiple couples appearing. Of course, I forced the young ?du?ts to go through a class on s?x and procreation which was more awkward for me than for them... I would have had one of the Pre-war residents do it but I wanted to make sure they had the correct information especially since they would be the men and women that would lead to founding the next generation of the Tribe and I would prefer them and their descendants to be healthy. Chapter 25 - 25: Year 2100 to Year 2102 [A/N: The Fallout Wiki Timeline is kind of strange right now and I noticed some things are missing now, I think they are either updating it or changing it, but let''s hope they fix it soon] Months began to pass before my residents managed to build three more bungalows outside the ski-resort out of fresh and durable wood that was grown from the recently grown trees on the mountain. Other than that in Zion Valley Randall Clark, or otherwise known as the Survivalist asked if I had any medicine for his pregnant wife who was probably the only original Vault 22 resident alive. I agreed to his request and asked him to leave her in my care, to which he only agreed after some time I took in convincing him. I gave him stimpacks, and other kinds of medical supplies like Radaway, Rad-X, and even some Med-X my Spore Carriers found when scavenging through the valley in some of the old Ranger Stations. I even gave him a hunting shotgun and an old revolver I found in a small weapons cache stored in one of the stations along with the ammo that goes with the weapons. Speaking of Zion Valley my ''growth'' has already covered around 75% of the valley and that number grew every day, my growth has covered so much of the valley that my plants have already reached Clark''s abode. I was quite thankful that I was finally able to meet Clark and his wife, Sylvie, with my Elder Spriggan Avatar, but it appears that Sylvie is not all that comfortable with being around me since technically I am what killed and ''consumed'' her whole vault. ... [Sylvie''s POV] I could only thank God and his miracles for giving me a son from my beloved husband who freed me from the ''Children of the Devil'' and for the miracle that he provided from the ashes of my vault. At first, I thought the Yggdrasil was a Demon born from the ''Children of the Devil'', but in time I have come to see him as a friend and guardian angel. (A/N: In the logs and wiki, Sylvie is shown to be quite...religious...) Yggdrasil and my Husband always made sure I was alright and whenever I felt the need to get some fresh air, the two would be there for me and protect me and my child in case anything happened. I even learned that it was Yggdrasil''s blessings that kept me and my child healthy and safe from harm. I even once spotted what looked to be small people with wings guarding me and my husband outside our cave abode in the middle of the night, these small people smiled and waved at me before disappearing in a flash of green light, but for some reason I always felt that they were still there, watching over us. I just hope that God continues to protect us from this world and its many demons that dwelled within... ... More months began to pass before Sylvie finally went into labor. And I''d be damned if I let the woman die with their son, Michael. In the original Fallout lore, Sylvie along with her son die, but I am here and I am not going to let fate have its way. And after hours of sweat and blood and the help of the Forest Spirits and a few of my blessings, I delivered baby Michael and let Sylvie rest after completely healing her and making sure she would survive. After that, I let Randall in to see his wife and newborn baby. ... More time passed and Randall''s family lived in happiness within Zion Valley. A herd of brahmin moved into the valley and I showed Randall how to raise them, herd them, milk them, and take care of them. He used the milk from the brahmin to feed the baby and with my help, kept the brahmin fed and healthy. So now not only does Randall, the 49-Year-Old Man, have a source of fresh and healthy meat but also has a source of fresh fruits and vegetables. It was obvious that the middle-aged man''s morale and happiness were at the highest they have been in years. I could honestly say that I was happy for the man. I even asked if he would become the ''Father'' of my Zion Valley Colony. I wanted Zion Valley to become a place of peace and safety for all those that reside within my forests. Which speaking of which, in all of my colonies I have placed dozens of Forest Spirits to maintain and repair my plants and I was shocked to find that the Forest Spirits could use what appeared to be actual magic! I watched them heal and repair damaged trees with green light, impale animals with the roots of a tree, and even seen them grow some plants that I have access to naturally without using my energy. All in all, I was thankful for my new life and all the good I am able to now do. Chapter 26 - 26: Year 2102 to Year 2103 [A/N: Next chapter will probably be a decade skip, haven''t decided yet] Another month passed before I finally leveled up to level 11 and I noticed that my level requirements seemed to have doubled, making it even harder to level up. But, let''s move on to what I obtained from this level. For plants, I got a few alchemical ingredients that I remember from being from another game made by Bethesda, the Elder Scrolls Franchise. The ingredients I got were: Bleeding Crown, Blisterwort, Blue Mountain Flower, Canis Root, and Juniper Berries. With Bleeding Crown I could make potions that had the following effects: Fire Vulnerability, Poison Vulnerability, and Resistance to Magic. For Blisterwort I could make potions that could Damage a person''s stamina, make the consumer go frenzied, help speed their recovery, or steady their hands. The Blue Mountain Flower could restore a person''s health at a visible rate as well as make them healthier for a while and if I remember correctly, hurt someone''s magic regeneration. Canis Root can also hurt someone''s Stamina, just like Blisterwort, paralyze the consumer, steady their hands, and improve their vision. And finally, Juniper Berries had the following alchemic effects: Fire Vulnerability, Improve vision, increase recovery rate, and damage a person''s stamina regeneration. Of course, we do not want the complete effects of these Alchemic Ingredients to happen to someone at once so they will have to learn what parts of the plants contain these effects and separate the effects to make a potion with a specific effect from one of the plants. And an added bonus is that if they combine two of the same components from two separate alchemic ingredients, they will be able to enhance the effects of a potion even further. For example, if we combined the damage stamina effects of both Canis Root and Blisterwort then the potion that is resulted from the combination of both ingredients will be much stronger than a normal potion made from just one of the ingredients. But the price of a million energy to create a Druid Pact with someone is a steep price, luckily I have been storing up Energy. So, I made a pack with all 17 of my Rangers. I used to only have 10 Rangers but the rangers have grown to become 17 members. I allowed the Rangers still in Vegas to recruit worthy apprentices and teach them their trade which they have had a little over 2 years'' worth of experience to teach. Speaking of the Rangers in Vegas they have done quite a bit of work in Vegas. Crime has dropped down so much that it''s no longer done in broad daylight in fear that a Ranger was nearby. Raiders and robbers were still plentiful in Vegas but now they mostly lurked in the dark, making many people''s lives much easier. ... Another year passed by and it was now 2103 and approaching 2104, not much has happened this year but the colonies founded by the Rangers: Elijah, Vale, and Chris have grown quite a bit with each colony having around a dozen or more residents who follow the code of the rangers and follow my teaching that I give them once in a while. Included in the Ranger Code is that the Rangers and even my residents could in fact use advanced technology as long as the said person using the technology is either trained or monitored by someone. I wanted to mix both Technology and Plantlife, balance, and harmony between Life and Technology. Plus I would prefer that my residents actually know what they were doing with technology instead of randomly clicking bu??ons. I don''t want to start a second Nuclear Holocaust after all. I also taught them all I knew on history before the war, with the help of some of the old-timers of course. I had them observe and analyze why events like wars or the creation of democracy happened and the pros and cons of these events. I taught them that all people are equal and should not be judged by their appearance or their past but instead should learn about them and their beliefs. Everybody is different and no one can say otherwise. Everyone has their own personality, feelings, and beliefs so no one should be discriminated against just because of what has happened to them or how they look. A month or two later we finally had our first resident Ghouls in the colonies! I even found that through some of my blessings, I could actually heal these Ghouls back to their previous selves and I plan on making a recovery program to do such, but for now, I will just continue to observe, teach, and learn. Chapter 27 - 27: Year 2103 to 2106 [A/N: Sorry for no chapter last Monday, for those of you who do not know, I had my Wisdom Teeth Removed on that Monday, and was recovering the entire week] Another year seemed to pass making it the Year 2104 and to my surprise, two young orphans that were adopted into the Tribe were quite talented in Alchemy and both enjoyed doing Alchemy, to my even bigger surprise both young orphans who were in their early teens were actually an inseparable couple as well! So, I showed them what little I remembered of Alchemy from The Elder Scrolls Skyrim, and from there they began to learn themselves. Of course, to prevent them any and all harm when it comes to their Alchemical Experiments I made sure to personally watch over them and protect them in case any of their experiments were to be dangerous and whatever concoction they managed to cook up was humanly used on animals. ... Months passed as the young couple continued to learn the wonders of Alchemy and even though sometimes they would spend hours a day learning the wonders of Alchemy, they showed no lack of energy or enthusiasm when learning. I even found that they started focusing a lot more on the Science lessons the teacher teaches them in class and to no surprise, they were some of the smartest in their class when it came to science. But, they were not the only talented young students learning in School. Including them, there are 12 talented students of the young generation in the Tribe who were all pursuing their talents. I have even begun funding a Project that involved rebuilding a Pre-War off-road cargo truck. Luckily I had quite a few engine parts that allowed them to make a functioning Fusion Battery Engine for the Truck and any parts that we did not have were easily bought from scavengers in Vegas which were actually faring much better than one would expect since we actually buy most of the scrap they scavenge in exchange for a number of caps depending on the quality, quantity, and type of scrap they sell. We even give them discounts on buying food and water from our Stalls in Vegas making the food and water even cheaper for them to purchase which only motivated them more to scavenge for us. Other than that, we have also begun spreading our influence over to smaller towns within the Mojave, like Goodsprings, Searchlight, Nipton, Novac, and Primm, and have even set up a caravan that now travels all throughout the Mojave with plenty of Food and Water for sell. Of course, I have made sure that the Caravan is properly guarded by multiple Spore Humans and even a Ranger or two at all times. More months passed as 2105 came rolling in and this year Randall and his family have been living happily within Zion Valley. Little Michael has reached 4 years old and was a bright young child. Randall''s wife, Sylvie has also picked up the skill of hunting after being taught by her husband and turns out, she was quite a good shot with a rifle. Since they were the only ones living within the green paradise known as Zion Valley I made sure that every entrance into the valley was guarded by Spore Plants or the Spore Carriers. ... Another year passed and the year became 2106 and this year was quite eventful. The first event that happened was that the young alchemist couple has found a way to create an organic version of Rad Away using mostly Punga Fruit and Stimpacks to heal severe radiation damage. Other than that I had some of my Rangers capture a whole group of Feral Ghouls. Now you may ask why I would do such a thing, the answer is simple, I wanted to do an experiment. It was worth at least giving it a try. Also, the Tribe''s Caravan has been doing really well and while it does get attacked occasionally by Bandits they are no threat when compared to the Rangers and Spore Men that guard the caravan. We have also begun mass-producing Stimpacks and have even opened up a clinic in the future location of the future New Vegas Medical Clinic which offers Radiation Removal Treatment, Medical Supplies, Injury Treatment, and even several kinds of drinks that provide some kind of medicinal effect for the consumer. We have also gotten that Truck from the project up and running and now it''s used in the Caravan to carry the supplies safely. The Garden of Eden''s Fame only continued to rise and grow in Vegas and while this was a good thing, I noticed that the Bandits and Raiders of the Mojave have started becoming smarter and trickier to deal with. They now usually travel in big groups and try to avoid any town or area that has our presence in it at the time. The problem became so big that I actually had an entire Ranger Group gather and deal with these large groups of Bandits that terrorized the common people of the Mojave which they ended up being successful with sadly one of the Rangers dying due to his wounds... ... A few more months passed by and I reached level 12. Ironwood, Copper Root, and even something called crystal vines. These new plants I got from the level seemed quite interesting seeing as the Ironwood Tree had wood and bark as strong as iron and roots as strong as copper. When it came to Crystal Vines I found that the vines were quite reflectant and absorbed thermal energy quite well. Chapter 28 - 28: Year 2106 to Year 2116 Time continued to press on and yet another two years passed making it 2108. Not much has happened in these past two years besides the fact that a pack of Deathclaws has moved into the Mojave from the south and has laid down in a small cave called Dead Wind Cavern on the eastern side of the Mojave. The people of the Mojave never heard of such a thing as a Deathclaw and quite a few wannabes Mercenaries and Hunters took it upon themselves to hunt down such a ''unique'' beast and by the next day, only a few returned. So, I used some of my recourses and rangers to spread awareness of how dangerous Deathclaws are and how dangerous they can be. I told them of their extremely sharp claws, their thick hide that can just outright ignore most gunfire, and their high intelligence that makes them far more dangerous than they already were. And when everyone in the Mojave realized that there was an entire PACK of them, they decided to stay far away from the Deathclaw''s territory. Although there were still many who decided to waste their lives in the chance of killing a deathclaw or stealing one of their highly guarded eggs. Either way, the Mojave became a bit more dangerous due to the pack of Deathclaw''s presence. ... Another three years pass as it became Year 2111, during this year I reached my next level, level 13. From level 13, I gained a new plant which so happened to be Nirnroot from the Elder Scrolls. I also gained a new skill that to my surprise, solved one of my problems... This skill was called, ''Commune Akashic Records''. At the cost of a LOT of energy, I could learn things such as spells, possible evolution paths, and even see the current pages on the Akashic Records on targets such as people and objects. Some things were much cheaper than others. I first decided to test this feature on Randall and see his page in the Akashic Records. /==============\ [Bio] Name: Randall Clark Biological Gender: Male Physical Age: 58 Years Old Status: Healthy [A/N: In the Bio below, the first two paragraphs are from the wiki] Biography: Clark was born on February 5, 2053. He served in the armed forces, commenting on the criminality of what he experienced in Canada. After his service, he lived in Salt Lake City, frequently leaving home to spend time in the wild for days on end, much to the dismay of his wife Charlotte and son Alex. Following ''The Day The Bombs Dropped'', Randall Clark retreated to safety in Zion Valley where he has spent years of his life trying to survive. 23 Years after the Bomb Dropped Randall Clark met his second wife, Sylvie, and had a child who would have died along with his mother if not for the intervention of the reincarnator, Alex. Now, Randall Clark lives on in Zion Valley with his family peacefully under the protection of the reincarnator Alex. Skills: [Marksmanship(Expert)], [Hunting(Expert)], [Survival(Expert)], [Programming(Adept)]...[] \==============/ Seeing the wide amount of information before me I couldn''t help but appreciate the new skill given to me. I couldn''t wait to find out what I can learn with it! ... Five years passed like a blink of an eye and as usual, not many things happened in these 5 years. Most of them have at least over 4 dozen residents that were loyal to the tribe and me. Other than that, I have used the Akashic Records to discover several evolutionary paths of the plants I have access to. Using [ Evolution ], I was surprised to find that I managed to get a good evolutionary trait on one of my trees that mutated it to where it actually gained a basic consciousness! Sadly the saplings from that tree did not produce more trees with basic intelligence like itself. The Spirit Tree as I will call it had limited intelligence and at most had very simple thoughts. Other than that, I have also managed to get several beneficial mutations to some of the crops and medical crops on the Mountain that either increase the Yield of the product, growth speed, maturation speed, and to my surprise a flower got a mutation that greatly increases its life span. I have also had some progress on the Feral Ghoul Mind restoration and while I have been blindly going on about this, I have managed to recover some parts of a particular ghoul''s mind that made it docile and not nearly as aggressive as its brethren.
