《Rebirth In Super Gene》 Chapter 1 Athens, Greece Outside a countryside villa, you see many people. All of them were dead, with either a limb missing or multiple bullet wounds. Going inside a similar site could be seen¡ªbodies leading all up to a room upstairs, with bloody footsteps leading inside. Two men could be seen. Both men were nearly dead talking to each other. The first man has blonde hair and a white complexion, most likely an American. In contrast, the second man had black hair and had a more tanned skin color, looking of Japanese descent. "So, did you expect to die like this, O famous SuperKiller?" asked the American man soon after coughing up blood. Looking closer, he had a plethora of slash marks all covering his torso, and more shockingly, several strange-shaped blades were inside his ?h?st. The Japanese man struggled to chuckle as he bled out. " I don''t believe anyone would, now would they? At least I can die knowing it took this many people to kill me. It almost makes me feel like I accomplished my dream." He responds, smiling bitterly to himself. ''Hehe, my dream is what brought me into all of this shit. But who can I blame but myself.'' So he thought, looking around at the chaos that had unfolded. He began to think back to when he was small. His name was Yami. He was an orphan from Japan whose mother had died while giving birth to him. His father wasn''t in the situation, and his mother had no known relatives alive. So, in the end, he was given to an orphanage. They named him Yami because of the already mess of black hair on top of his head. Yami was a quiet yet intelligent child. He played with the other children, but he never seemed to be all the way there. That was until one day, while watching tv, he saw his first superheroes. That moment brought a new light to his eyes. He finally knew what he wanted to be a Superhuman. At the time, he was only seven, so he began to exercise slowly. The caretakers of the orphanage wondered why he started working out but didn''t mind. As it wasn''t anything harmful and he was pretty well behaved, they let him continue. When he turned 13, he found a job to work at while still living in the orphanage. He used the money he earned to pay for martial art classes around the city to build his foundation. He was quick to learn and master how to use knives, kunai, bows, and Japanese kenjutsu. By the age of 16, he had gone all over Japan and learned all martial arts he could find. When he couldn''t find anything else turned to focus on his studies. By 18, he graduated from a local university with degrees in computer science, human biology, and engineering. At this time, he said his farewells to the people at the orphanage that had raised him. He wanted to be someone who broke the boundaries of a human and become something more. Yami knew that was going to cost a lot of money. But he''d already prepared himself to make money from killing. He didn''t plan on getting caught up in senseless killing. He would pick whom he believed deserved to be killed. This began his career. Over the years, Yami had become known on the dark web as one of the best hackers out there. If he accepted your request, it was 100% going to be done. So it didn''t take much for Yami to find a hit on someone. His first kill was a man from France. He had murdered and r?p?d many women but would always be let go in the end due to his numerous connections and lack of evidence therefor. One of the victims'' husband had offered two million for his death. Yami, seeing the information naturally accepted. It was an easy job. Even though he had never really used a gun before, he was an excellent shot. He used a .50 BMG from around 700 meters away. The man stayed in a hotel suite with an open balcony giving Yami a clear sight of him. It was almost a surreal feeling for Yami. One moment the mans'' head was there, and then with the slight pull of the trigger, it disappeared. The bullet obliterated his skull. He collected his money from the widower to only later find out he had committed suicide. To pay for the job, he''d sold everything he had. He only wanted to know that his wifes'' ?ssaulter was dead. He hung himself with a smile on his face, hoping to see his wife in the afterlife. Yami, after learning of this, was somewhat saddened. The man and his wife were good honest people. They only wanted a simple life, yet it sadly couldn''t be so. He would go on to learn just how twisted and cruel people could be. Years went by as his reputation grew. From gunning down entire gangs, silently slitting throats with knives, or taking down entire cartels, he did it all. This was all while still trying to find a way to break the boundaries of a human. He traveled across the world and absorbed as much as he could. Yet, it was never enough. By the time he was 34, he had realized that his dream would never come true. No matter how hard he worked or trained, he could still die to things like any other human can. His skin couldn''t stop bullets. He could still be run over and die. Nothing he did could break that boundary. He finally m?tur?d up and changed his mindset. He slowly stopped trying to be a superhuman and accepted he was still human. He still did jobs every now and then but eventually stopped after he turned 40. By that time, many people wanted him dead. It was inevitable he with all the jobs he took. He was tired of all the killing and action. He never really never had hobbies until one day he decided to read manga and novels. He quickly found it was something he enjoyed, making him imagine being in a world where magic existed or people with enough strength to sink an island roamed. But out of all the stories he read, his favorite story of all time was Super Gene. It fascinated him how regular people were able to grow stronger¡ªbreaking the normal human limit by killing and eating the creatures there. He read all the translated chapters till he ran into to original Chinese version of the book, which had already ended. He had learned many languages over the years while traveling. Chinese being one of them[A/N: I wished I did but sadly don''t]. He finished all 3462 chapters that it had published. Yami was sad seeing the story finished but happy all the same. He eventually went on to watch anime and read different manga and novels. Super Gene still remained his favorite. While he was doing all this, the outside world was on the hunt. Yami''s name had reached all over the world. Eventually, a bounty was made for his head. They only wanted him dead, as leaving him alive could mean he had a chance to escape if captured. Yami expected something like this to happen but didn''t think it would happen so soon. He had rigged his house with his own special security system. Ai, camera'', and mounted guns made quite the deterrent. When he saw so many vans start to surround his villa, he didn''t hesitate to let his security system run wild. He didn''t have to worry about it killing someone innocent because everyone outside had murder on their mind. When the mounted guns were no longer working, he picked up an ?ssault rifle and opened fire on the people who had made it inside. When he could no longer fire, he stabbed and cut. He had specially designed knives the knives he used. He had gone so far as learning how to forge to make them himself. As they always did the job. To stab and hook into the flesh. So when pulled out, it caused excruciating pain. He had injured the last man, a leader of one of the organizations that came to kill him using one of those knives. ¡ªx¡ªx¡ªx¡ªx¡ª "Oi bastard, you still alive down there?" Yami asked. Hearing no response, his body shook as he struggled to laugh. "I might have never accomplished my dream, but I damn sure could be considered a superhuman, huh?".. After saying those words, his body slumped as the light in his eyes slowly faded away. Chapter 2 Somewhere in the void The void has few life forms. Few can survive in the conditions it has to offer. It is the boundary between universes. Unless your strength is enough, it is challenging to transverse to different universes, much less navigate it. In the void, you can see a golden light. When coming closer to the golden light turns out to be a vast eastern golden dragon. Looking into its eyes, you can see countless images flash by. It is one of the few beings capable of living here. It has long forgotten its age. To pass the time by, it watches over a countless number of universes. It rarely comes by anything that piques its interest. After living for so long, few things can genuinely amaze it. Yet its eyes suddenly twinkle as it peers into a fragile universe. The inhabitants aren''t strong in body, and the technology isn''t anywhere close to advanced to what it''s seen. What catches its eye is one particular person who was dying. As weak as he was, he died taking many with him. The dragon claws suddenly reached out as the individuals'' soul started to disappear. Grabbing the soul before it could vanish, he looked at it strangely before peering into its memories. The place the soul was from was called "Earth," and humans populated its surface. The soul''s name was Yami. What interested the dragon was that Yami d?s?r?d to break his species boundaries and become something more than a normal human being. Sadly the place it came from had laws holding it in place restricting how much humans could grow. So it watched as the being realized the reality of its goal. Yet even though it experienced bitterness at its misfortune, it continued on. Eventually finding something else to do to pass by its short life. Yet fate seems to have other plans. Yami was being hunted for a reward. After searching for months, the humans finally found him. Yami, even though surprised, fought and killed them down to the very last. Then he slowly passed away with the regret of never reaching his goal. What surprised the dragon was his determination to reach that goal. Even knowing it had such a short life, the human did all it could do to achieve what it wanted. It had few regrets of the life it lived. Leaving it only with the bitterness of reality, making his dream impossible. Even on his last breath, he held on to it. After thinking for a moment, the dragon brought the soul closer to its mouth and blew. The once fading soul now recovered its light. It began to stir as it took its surroundings. ¡ªx¡ªx¡ªx¡ªx¡ª Yami''s POV I suddenly opened my eyes. I realized that I was surrounded by darkness and couldn''t see anything. I can''t move at all and feel highly disoriented. After a while, I could move my head to look around and was surprised to see a colossal dragon staring down at me. "Holy shit, who the hell are you?!?!" I asked. The dragon came closer to me and stopped. It started shuddering, and then it laughed, shaking everything around me. I''m not sure to be fascinated, shocked, or fu?k?n? terrified at this point. Then it opens its jaws and speaks in a deep voice that shook me to the core. "So you''re saying you''re the god Christians were worshipping? Or maybe some other religion maybe?" Hu¨¢ngl¨®ng replied, "No little one, I said I am a "God," not the god your imagining. So many gods exist, some being born as one, some ascending to one, and some being brought into existence because of beliefs. I started off as the third type but eventually was able to break away from the beliefs and become a dragon god of space, time, and creation. You caught my attention when I saw you try to break free from the restraints of your race. So many who try soon give up, yet while you accepted your reality, you really never gave up hope. Even in the final moments of your life, tell me, why is that so?" As shocked as I still was, I responded." I''m just some dumb stubborn bastard that clung to his childhood dream for way too long. I''m nothing special, just the man I am and nothing more." Hu¨¢ngl¨®ng closed his eyes for a while. Leaving only silence permeating the space. After a bit, he reopened his eyes and stared at me again. I began to feel uncomfortable after a while till he spoke up. "It''s been long since anything interested me, little one. To show my thanks, I will give you five wishes. For as long as it is in my power, I will grant them. You can take your time as time is almost meaningless in the void." I was surprised that he could do such a thing when I heard him. It was then I felt like slapping my forehead if I still had a body. This guy was a god damn dragon god. I''m sure it had restrictions on what those wishes could be, but that didn''t matter. I complimented on what I wanted to wish for. I''m not sure how much time passed before I finally decided on what I wanted. "I want to be reborn as Han sen in the geno universe, Raphael king of wisdom, the abilities of Rob Lucci, to be the race of a demon slime and Beezlebuth lord of gluttony. "Hmm, that is simple enough, though I would have thought you would ask for a system of some sort. From what I''ve seen in your memories, it seems common. Why didn''t you wish for something like it instead?" I replied by saying what I felt was the truth of the matter." I think I wouldn''t be very compatible with a system. It did cross my mind, though, but I just don''t feel comfortable with it. "The way you think makes me want to see how far you can go. Will you eventually reach where I am, or will you die trying? It makes me excited to think about it. This won''t be included in your wish but a gift from me personally. I will give you my blood, making you a descendant of mine when you are reborn. The more geno points you get, the more you unlock my bloodline. That''s all I will give you in hopes that you eventually return here one day and talk again. Farewell, little one, and good luck on your journey." The outside world isn''t really too audible, but I can hear her talking to me sometimes. Telling me how excited she is to finally be pregnant. After experiencing this, I felt somewhat warm in the ?h?st. I wasn''t mistreated at the orphanage in my past life, but I never considered them family. I never honestly had a family or love, for that matter. A life of killing led to many one-night stands but never anything serious. While dwelling on all of this, I feel the area around me contract." what the fu?k is going on" I try to scream out as light hits me. I felt cold air around me and realized that I was finally out. I started trying to talk, but it came out as cries. Seeing I was fine, the doctor cleaned me and handed me to my new mother." it''s a perfectly healthy boy, mam." She hugs me to her body as she eventually falls asleep from crying tears of joy.. Feeling tired from all the changes I''ve just gone through, I finally dozed off. Chapter 3 It''s been a few days since Han sen had left the hospital with his new mother. In these few days, he met his new father, Han Yufei. He would watch over him when his mother was asleep and tell him different stories to lull him. Han Sen still had to adjust to the new situation though. It was awkward for him with though. When he died, he was older than his mother. But now, he had to be br??stfed by her. But he had to do what had to be done. He wasn''t going to starve himself over slight discomfort. While this was going on, he was starting to check out the wishes he had. He was happy to find out Raphael lord of wisdom was already working fine. He''d tasked her with compressing his memory on Super Gene together in case he missed something. In addition, he was privy to intrinsic skills that came with that race due to being given the body of a demon slime. For example, universal detect was like observation haki but built differently and without seeing into the future. Then there was demon lord haki, which was like conquerors haki. Still, in addition to causing fear, it could also instantly kill those who couldn''t resist or those who were exponentially weaker. Then there was infinite regeneration which needs no explanation. Universal thread meant Han Sen could make threads of various sizes. Still, they could also be imbued with multiple properties, including robustness and stickiness. He could make a clone of himself with enhanced body-double. The clone would have the same strength and skills that he had. The only restriction was he had to be within a certain distance to control it. Universal Shape-shift allows any body part to transform into parts of another species'' bodies that the user knows. He could have Multiple partial mimicries, even of various species at the same time, is possible. And finally, spatial motion lets you teleport to anywhere you''ve been before, but it takes a few moments to work. As lovely as it all sounded, he could only use universal detect and observation haki as of now, as he was still an infant. ¡ªx¡ªx¡ªx¡ªx¡ª It had been six years since Han Sen had come into this world, and he had decided it was time to start familiarizing himself with the things he wished for. And he quickly ran into a common reoccurring problem. That most of these skills used stamina. Something he had a crazy amount of for a six-year-old, which he allotted to being part dragon now. But even then, it was only a crazy amount for a six-year-old, focus on the six. The only thing that didn''t take stamina was universal detect, infinite regeneration, Beelzebuth, and Kami-e. Well, it did, but it depended on how he used it. For example, if he used life return to make his muscles expand, it consumed stamina and made him hungry. But it also had the benefit that he could make his body rapidly digest any food he ate in seconds when he ate. But he didn''t focus much on the digestive part because with Beelzebuth, he could instantly digest anything. This marked when he started training his body as he couldn''t do shit if he had a weak body. This action at first concerned his parents seeing their small child doing push-ups, but they were both surprised at how strong he was. His father had taken him to a gym and saw him lifting almost ten times his weight without any visible effort, which was strange as it was comical. With the help of Raphael, it didn''t take long to figure out how to use Beelzebuth. It was like an extension of himself that required concentration. But with parallel operation, he didn''t even need to do that. All he needed was a basic thought to use it. ¡ªx¡ªx¡ªx¡ªx¡ª This quiet life continued until he turned eight and asked about learning hypo geno arts. It sparked an argument between his parents before his father won. Han Yufei decided to take Han Sen to the Ares Martial Hall. Han Sen felt somewhat lost at first as the six powers were a lot more useful than anything he could get me from there. All of the higher-tier hypo geno arts required special passes that were somewhat hard to come by. So Han Sen had to walk away disappointed. He felt spending money on any of these techniques was the same as using the money to wipe his ?ss. But his father surprised him by showing him the Saint Hall website where S-class hypo geno arts were located. He wasn''t surprised about Han Yufei being able to get his hands on an S-class license. No, he was astonished that he was willing to let him use one. After browsing there, he found footwork called ghost steps, making it difficult for opponents to predict the user''s position and attack trajectory. Nevertheless, he felt this would be an excellent addition to Soru, which was too linear. He had Raphael analyze the ghost steps, Soru, and Geppo, combining them making something better. He eventually decided to rename it Shunpo. Shunpo was a movement technique that could be used on land and in the air. ¡ªx¡ªx¡ªx¡ªx¡ª But he knew the happy times wouldn''t last forever, so he decided it was time to talk to his father. Even before he was reborn, Han sen never knew when his Han Yufei had faked his death. The story only mentioned it was when Han Yan was smaller. Knowing what would happen to him and his family after he "died," he didn''t want to have his mother and little sister go through that. He caught him one day in the living room alone and asked. "Dad, what will happen to us if you die one day?" Those words seemed to send alarms bells off in Han Yufei''s head as his facial expression drastically changed before he recomposed himself. "Why are you asking something like that out of the blue?" He was pretty sure this set off alarms in his head because of the face he was making. So, he replied, "why did you ask such a serious question?" "I realized that you are the only one that supports the house. Then it occurred to me if you left, what would happen to us? Would the family peaceful give us our part of the will, or would they show their true faces and fight over it like dogs taking ours in the mix?" He left his father with those words of precaution as he went into the kitchen to find something to cook as he was hungry. His appetite had grown as he grew, alarming his parents, but when they took him to get checked, the doctor said his metabolism was high, but there were no problems. A few days later, Han Yufei was in court because his newly made will sparked a fierce argument within his family. The new will stated in the occurrence of his death that we, as his wife and children, would receive his shares of the company. Those shares would be sold back to the company at a base set price, while the money received from the transaction would be returned to his wife and children. ''Those despicable sons of bitches are cruel. You planned on stealing from the man''s family, who had given you the job you have and is the reason you can live so comfortably in the first place.'' He ruefully sighed to himself as he didn''t understand how some people''s minds twist to work themselves into thinking they''re in the right. Anyway, as he expected, Han Yufei "died" two years after this. But, of course, knowing he was alive, it didn''t impact Han Sen at all. It seemed to affect his mother more than everyone else, but he knew she was stronger than she looked. The weak-willed persona in the original series was just an act to help the original Han Sen m?tur?. But his little sister, on the other hand, was too young to take such a blow. At that point, he decided it would be better to stay with her more as he didn''t want her to struggle too much with her grief. So he decided to drop the pretense of attending school and just decided to graduate early. The test he had to take was seemingly childish to him. He had Raphael memorize, compress, and organize all the information the school had to offer quite some time ago. After his early graduation, he spent most of his time watching over Han Yan as Luo Sultan would often go into Second Gods Sanctuary. He would spend his time watching Han Yan, have Raphael analyze any hypo geno arts he could find, or train his body and powers. He could do all of this as money wasn''t a problem for them as their father''s Will left them living comfortably.. So now, all he was waiting for was his 16th birthday to come so he could enter the First God''s sanctuary. Chapter 4 A young man could be seen stepping out of one of the many rooms within the Steel Armor Shelter. The young man had a very lean muscular build. He had short black hair with light grey eyes, giving him a somewhat handsome appearance. He wore tight-fitting clothes and sported a Uwa-obi on his waist. It held a sheathed katana and wakizashi firmly against his waist. Thus, making it to where blades wouldn''t slip and fall to the ground. If he were back on earth, he would''ve looked like a weeb larping through the streets. But in the sanctuary is was something normal. While many people had beast souls, some could afford physical metal weapons capable of cutting sacred-blood creatures. He was walking on the main path that ran through most of the shelter, asking around about the different hunting grounds near the shelter. This man was naturally Han Sen, who had just turned 16 today, making it possible for him to enter the shelter. It was almost noon when he had left as he celebrated lightly with his family the entire morning and left after to the train station. He arrived at the teleportation station, stood in line for his turn, and walked through the portal to appear in a scarcely furnished room. Having only a bed, covered with a thin sheet in the corner, and a table situated in another corner of the room. He usually would want to explore around the shelter some more, but since he had Universal detect, he could see everything around him for about 5 kilometers. Its range grew the stronger he got. He had been wondering how wide it would be by the time he left the First Sanctuary but put that thought aside for now as he had a goal. Another thing that made him hesitate was seeing a giant white wolf unicorn standing outside the rampart. So naturally, he wanted to avoid being anywhere near that. However, he wouldn''t allow that situation to repeat itself as it would only attract unnecessary trouble. And most importantly, Han sen wanted to test how strong he was. So he decided the best way to test that was to go to the most dangerous place he could think of, the Jade Dragon Mountains. The Jade Dragon Mountains was a place where creatures of all ranks roamed. Be it ordinary, primitive, mutant, sacred-blood, or super creature, they were all present within that area. He had been asking around for a little while but was eventually able to get the general direction of the Mountains quickly due to the danger around it. After he got a reasonable distance between him in the shelter, he decided to speed things up. He kicked off the ground and began disappearing and reappearing in the air above the trees. He used shunpo continuously, shortening the trip that would typically be hours to a little less than one hour. He soon saw large mountains appear over the horizon. As he began jabbing his fingers in the air, multiple black spiked air bullets flew in different directions. Each boring holes straight through the heads of creatures they hit. A second later, he heard a multitude of messages be spoken in his head. "Ordinary Woodland Gecko killed. No beast soul gained. Eat its meat to gain zero to ten ordinary geno points randomly." "Primitive creature copper-toothed beast killed. Primitive beast soul of copper-toothed beast gained. Eat the flesh of copper-toothed beast to gain zero to ten primitive geno points randomly." "Primitive scaled python killed. No beast soul gained. Eat its meat to gain zero to ten primitive geno points randomly." "Primitive ..." It took a few seconds for the monotone voice to finish speaking. After hearing the voice stop, Han Sen began to collect the dead bodies. He put his right hand in the air and activated his skill. Tendrils of black miasma came from his hand a formed a sphere above him before the sphere began emitting a powerful suction pulling all the dead bodies and a few other miscellaneous things into his stomach. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª It had been a little while later, and he had finally found something he could test himself against. A sacred-blooded creature he identified as a bear that seemed like it had mated with a saber-tooth tiger. It was about the size of a suburban, with brown hair covering most of its body. Tusk jutted from its lower jaw. To top it off, it had a bear skeleton over its body. Han Sen saw this as an excellent target to test his strength. Mainly since he hadn''t found another sacred-blood creature, so he had no other options to choose from. Now approaching it leisurely, Han Sen began to think of ways to rile up the bear, hoping to capture its full attention. An inky black air bullet got the creatures'' attention as it pierced one of its ears that poked outside its exoskeleton. Unfortunately for the bear, the shot went all the way through its ear, causing immense pain, instantly enraging the beast, who immediately began looking around for its ?ssailant. Han Sen had already fully exposed himself to the bear, making it lock on to him with its killing intent fully bearing down on him. However, its killing intent was brushed off like dandelions in the wind, as it did nothing to Han Sen. The bear began to size Han Sen up and down with a hateful glare. An intelligent gleam could be seen in its eye as it tried to ?ssess his threat level. It felt whatever the thing in front of it used to piece its ear wouldn''t be able to penetrate other parts of its body due to its ear being one of its weakest points. So it decided to use the thing that let it live so long, overwhelming force. It had crushed everything it fought since it had been conscious. It was lucky enough to avoid the super creatures that roamed through mountains successfully. Always immediately fleeing to someone safer. It didn''t believe that it would die now to such a puny creature that had to catch it off guard to inflict an injury on it. Sadly for the boney bear, its luck had run out the moment Han Sen found it. Chapter 5 The bear was eying Han Sen as he approached at a slow pace. It waited till he was only a dozen yards away before it lunged forward, swinging its paw with the intent of swashing the puny creature that had hurt hit. But it ran into a problem. The moment the paw smashed down on Han Sen, he dispersed into nothing, leaving nothing but a newly formed crater and dust. Boom! Boom! Boom! Out of nowhere, the bear had been knocked to the side, breaking trees as its body was hit by something. That something was natural Han Sen. The moment the bear lunged earlier, he used shunpo to appear by its side. He was so fast he had made a speed clone of himself, tricking the bear into thinking he hadn''t moved from his original spot due to the clone having its own presence. When he appeared in the air next to his side, he began coating his fist in busoshoku haki. His arms became pitch black with a red tint, with a flame-like pattern forming at the edge of the coating. That exact second he unleashed three jabs. If you could see it from a distance, it would almost look comical. Something so small, punching at something so big. It was like a mouse boxing an elephant. But as small as he was, Han Sen''s blows were packing some horrifying power. Each blow stopped a short distance away from the bear''s body before unleashing three invisible bursts that smashed so hard into the SUV-sized bear that it pushed it into the trees. By this time, Han Sen had landed back on the ground. He was listening to Raphael analyze the bear using universal detect and report back the results of his three punches. [This sacred-blood bear was able to significantly reduce the damage of the punch by dispersing the force into its body fat. Therefore, I suggest using internal destruction to effectively kill it.] ''Yeah, that seems to be the only way. If I just keep punching it with emission, it''ll take a lot to get through all that god damn body-fat.'' ROAR! "Oh, be quiet, you fat son of a bitch. Since you still have enough energy to roar, let''s up the ante." Just as the bear was about to get back on its feet, Han Sen struck again. Again, he used shunpo and appeared right behind its hind leg and hit it in its popliteal fossa. But, instead of using emission and stopping before he made contact, he had made sure his fist made contact with its tough hide. It was a split second later that the creatures'' knee cap exploded in a shower of blood. Its body fell back to the ground with a loud thud. Its mobility had been drastically decreased as its hind leg became disabled. But Han Sen wasn''t done just yet. Before the bear even could release a pained-filled roar, he''d was on the back raining down a stream of blows on the part of its neck that was covered with bone. His leisure attitude had been wiped away, replaced by a more serious one. He would alternate using emission and internal destruction with each jab, overwhelming its body from the inside out with force. Causing boom after boom to continuously be heard in the area, scaring off all the weaker creatures. The bear, as much as it wanted, couldn''t do anything to stop its attacker. He was too fast for it. In that same instant, its knee was destroyed; he was already hammering away at the back of its neck. Its body could only disperse so much force. Once it reached a certain point, its skin would explode, which would be fatal. That wasn''t even accounting for how damaged its insides were. To put it simply, its windpipe had already ruptured along with its inner skeleton being crushed more and more into dust. And after what seemed like minutes, while in reality seconds had passed, did the cold monotone voice speak in his head. "Sacred-blood boned ursus killed. Beast soul of sacred-blood creature boned Ursus gained. Eat it''d meat to gain zero to ten geno points randomly." He glanced inside his sea of consciousness where a few dozen beast souls resided. They ranged from ordinary all the way to mutant. He''d obtained these beast souls earlier after massacring the wildlife in the foothills while he was still searching for a sacred-blood creature. But he ignored those and looked at the newest addition to his collection. Type of beast soul of sacred-blood bonded: Shapeshifting. ''Hm, as lucky as this is, It''s useless to me. However, I could probably sell it for an S-class license. Maybe Martial Hall has added something else since the last time I checked their catalogs.'' While thinking of this, he was using Beelzebuth to suck the large bear carcass into his stomach. After he started universal detect, making sure he hadn''t missed anything. Seeing nothing was missed, he left. Han Sen began to travel in the general direction of the Steel Armor Shelter. He planned on making a makeshift camp a reasonable distance away from the shelter. First, however, he had a few things he wanted to test before eating the sacred-blood creature. With that, his speed drastically increased. He wanted to already be setting up camp before it got dark. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª After an hour or so had passed, Han Sen had finally stopped using shunpo and allowed himself to lightly land in a large clearing. The clearing was a few minutes away from the Steel Armor Shelter. Well, it was for Han Sen using shunpo. For others, it might be an hour or longer, depending on their fitness index. He took the trees, stripped them, and began to cut them into small logs. He took one of them and used it as something to sit on. He took another portion to start a bonfire, and for the rest, he put them into his stomach for later use. It might be a point where he needed to start a fire, with no trees around. Anyway, Han Sen was trying to figure out if the system would register the bodies he ate inside his stomach. If it did, his existence within the sanctuaries would be completely broken. As it was eating the creatures in the sanctuary, that was the hardest. But with Beelzebuth, he could devour almost anything instantly using corrosion. So he tried devouring one of the ordinary creatures he had first. He activated corrosion, and in the next moment, a wide grin bloomed on his face. "Woodland gecko eaten. One ordinary geno point gained." "Woodland gecko eaten. One ordinary geno point gained." "Woodland gecko eaten. One ordinary geno point gained." "Woodland gecko eaten. One ordinary geno point gained." "Woodland gecko eaten. One ordinary geno point gained." "Woodland gecko eaten. One ordinary geno point gained." Han Sen glanced at the rest of the bodies in his stomach, wondering just how many geno points he would get after using corrosion on all of them. Chapter 6 "Boned ursus eaten. One sacred geno point gained..." "Woodland Gecko eaten. One ordinary geno point gained..." "Scaled Python eaten. One primitive geno point gained..." "Copper-toothed beast eaten. One primitive geno point gained..." "Steel Sparrow eaten. One mutant geno point gained..." With each body, he used corrosion on his geno point tally went up. That along with an array of information being imprinted into his mind as Raphael uses analyze on each creature. This was for universal shapeshift. After Raphael analyzed the creatures, he''d be able to fully transform or partially transform into those creatures. He could be like a chimera. This also was another hidden benefit. Since anything he transformed into would match his body''s toughness. Making most of the beast souls, he got useless. Only when he started off in the sanctuaries would beast souls come in handy. For example, his next plan was to search for the sacred-blood black beetle. But he was doing this only for the black crystal. So it didn''t matter if he got the beast soul armor. Because even if he ate an ordinary black beetle, he could recreate their exoskeleton body armor. And it would match his body''s fitness level, making it where the armor wouldn''t be limited like beast souls would. -x-x-x-x-x- Han Sen looked in his stomach and saw all the creatures he''d gotten were gone. He''d used corrosion on all of them, and the monotone voice finally stopped speaking inside his head. So he decided it would be a good time to check his geno tally. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª Han Sen: unevolved Lifespan: 200 Requirement for next evolution: 100 geno points Geno points gained: 092 ordinary geno points; 074 primitive geno points; 23 mutant geno points; 08 sacred geno points. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª If anyone saw this, they would''ve thought he''d been in the sanctuary for years. If Han Sen told anyone hadn''t even been in the sanctuary a full day, they''d call him a lying bastard. He just wondered whether this would also work on humans. If so, would he get all of their geno points or only a partial amount? Maybe he would be able to get their beast souls? What about the bodies of super creatures. Would consuming them give him super geno points? But that was something he was hesitant about since he needed to feed the pets he planned on getting in the future and feed them the super creature meat. But hey, if he killed enough super creatures, it would be plenty of super creature meat to go around. -x-x-x-x-x- Han Sen had left his temporary camp behind and was already heading back to the Steel Armor Shelter. But instead of entering the shelter, he went past it. A golden black beetle that was a sacred-blood creature was his goal. It had initially also been an ordinary creature but had swallowed a black crystal. Thus, allowing it to evolve into a sacred-blood creature. His goal was that black crystal. He needed to swallow it so he could put it into his sea of consciousness, where his beast souls resided. It didn''t take him any time to find the stone creek. He had Raphael scrutinizing anything that got caught within universal detect. It covered everything around him. It didn''t matter underground, on the ground, or in the air; it was all within universal detect. On the other hand, he ran around the entire creek and its surrounding areas, making sure he scanned everything. It didn''t take long before Raphael informed him of a black beetle that was much larger than any of its species. He unsheathed the wakizashi on his waist before he stabbed it into the ground. If you could see the wakizashi up close, you would notice the blade had veins embedded over its entire structure. He had specially made it to be that way. It was hell forging it, though. As the veins, he added throughout it caused structure instability. It took countless tries to get it right. Thankfully he had skimmed a good amount of special metals from Han Yufei''s company before he disappeared. He channeled Beelzebuth into the wakizashi and could feel the black miasma spread through the veins before overflowing outside the sword. Sucking up everything around it. Doing so, it began opening up a hole coming closer and closer to the abnormal black beetle. He sheathed his sword right before it consumed the beetle. Then, before it could scuttle away, his fingernail turned into a claw before he sent a black spiked air bullet into its head. He picked up its body with one hand and used his other clawed hand to pierce the chink in its underside. His hand rummaged around till he felt his claw hit something. Grasping the round object, he pulled it out to reveal and black crystal. It was about the size of a pigeon egg, and when closely inspected, you could see what looked liked millions of tiny stars within it. This small black crystal was called super gene. It was something the creator of the sanctuaries, along with others of his group, had made. It was to counter the gods in the outer universe who took the life force of others when they granted them three wishes. He instantly put both the body and the crystal in his stomach. He used corrosion on the sacred-blood body gaining another nine sacred geno points. Bringing his overall sacred geno tally to seventeen -x-x-x-x-x- After finding the black crystal, Han Sen stood around the stoney creek for a short while, farming the ordinary black beetles that lived around it. By the time he left, he''d maxed out his ordinary geno tally, bringing it all the way to one hundred. After that, he didn''t have any reason to stay around, so he left. He was now heading back towards the shelter. After getting back, he beelined to his room and went straight through the teleport device, arriving back in the teleportation station on Planet Roca. He took a train to leave and stopped by a store on the way home, grabbing some sweets for Han Yan. He was walking on the sidewalk on his street, silently nodding at a man reading a book on his porch. The man gave a simple nod in response and continued reading his book. Han Sen just wasn''t nodding at a random person. He was a part of the group ?ssigned to watch over his family while he was away. So, where did they come from exactly? That and the fact that Han Sen had been very prevalent on Skynet, discussing hyper geno arts. What really caught attention was his ability to modify, combine, and improve hyper geno arts. So when he graduated early, the people from the Alliance approached Han Sen, inviting him to join the military at a younger than average age. He was able to work out a contract with them. Where he wasn''t technically "military," more like a partner of sorts. He accomplished this by helping advance technology the military used in war.. From guns used on military space destroyers to improving the way metal was refined, bringing it to the level of the Shuras.
