《Tower Of God: Fan Fiction》 Chapter 1 At the first floor of the tower... Suddenly, out of nowhere, rumbing sounds could be heared across the entire first floor. "What''s going on?" Headon, who was in the first floor was astonished. This is the first time he witnessed something like that. As if sensing something, Headon disappeared from his place and appeared in front of an enormous ancient gate. On the gate there were unknown ancient runes and texts. Right now the gate, no, the entire floor was trembling violently as if something is opening it forcefully. Seeing this, Headon was shocked! "Another one from the outside? Why are there so many irregulars these days?! Wait... Something is wrong..." If someone saw Headon now they will be flabbergasted. Headon always gave people the feeling that everything is happening according to his plans and calculations. But now he absolutely had no idea what''s going on! He could feel it... Something terrible is outside that gate... And THAT something seems to be entering the tower by force! "By force? How is this possible?! The tower doesn''t allow just anybody to enter. Even irregulars are allowed in only when the tower needs Something!" But now... "The tower is clearly opposing the entry of whatever is trying to enter. But it seems the tower can''t hold on anymore..." But that means the intruder is even more powerful than that ''entity''! "How can this be..." While Headon was in shock, the floor stopped trembling gradually. The ancient gate started opening slowly and the sound of light footsteps could be heared from the outside... Chapter 2 The gate was opened and the dust flew everywhere. As the sound of footsteps grew near, a shadow could be seen in behind the dust. Headon was staring at the shadow intently. He wanted to know what kind of existence could force his way into the tower. The shadow was walking slowly out of the dust and his form became clear. "A human...?" Headon was spoke out in surprise. Although he didn''t know a lot about the outside world, this young man''s form was the same as the humans inside the tower. Headon looked closely at the young man. His black hair was slightly long. His black eyes were so deep not resembling a young man at all. Right now he had an irritated look on his face as if something annoyed him. Then the young man spoke: "Who is the retard who created such a huge tower but couldn''t hire someone to clean the gate from the dust! He has no sense of cleanliness at all!" Then he looked at Headon who was staring at him foolishly. When the man''s eyes landed on Headon, he felt all his body shivering. "What are you staring at, little rabbit?" Little rabbit..? Although he was afraid, Headon felt like going crazy. That young man was an intuder to the tower but was complaining about the dust, and now calling him ''little rabbit''! Headon, for the first time, didn''t know what to say. He didn''t know what to do. Should he treat that man as an irregular and give him a test? Or send him to the next floor directly? Or should he fight him for intruding? But he is clearly no match for him. While Headon was thinking what to do, the man spoke again: "Hm? Little rabbit, why are you silent? Can''t you speak?" "Sir, my name is Headon. I am the guardian of the first floor of the tower." Although Headon was frightened, he spoke clearly with composure. His heart calmed down a bit after speaking these words. But after he finished speaking he saw the young man frown. This frown felt like thousands of blades stabbing his heart. "You are the guardian of this floor?" The young man spoke in a deep voice. His tone indicated that he was a bit displeased. "Yes." Headon summoned up his courage and answered. The young man''s expression was even more irritated. "Then why the hell didn''t you open the gate when I was knocking earlier?!" Chapter 3 The young man''s voice was like a hammer descending on Headon''s ears. At the same time a tyrannical pressure enveloped the entire floor to the point that some cracks appeared on the walls! Headon was shocked once again. Knock? When the entire floor was trembling, you were just knocking on the gate?! Cold sweat appeared on Headon'' face. He realised that the young man was more terrifying than he had imagined! After a moment, he could no longer hold on and his body crashed into the floor losing his ability to move even a muscle. He tried to speak but unfortunately couldn''t. Seeing that the little rabbit couldn''t hold any longer, the young man retracted his pressure. "Whatever. I will forgive you this time." "Get up, little rabbit. I want to inquire about something. With your status as a guardian, you should be able to know it." The young man walked to the side and sat on a nearby stone waiting for Headon to regain his composure. Soon, Headon came back to normal and looked at the young man with traces of fear in his eyes. "Yes. Please ask!" Headon felt like every moment he stayed beside this man was like a torment to his mind. He was already mentally exhausted. The young man continued his speech: "A few years ago, a woman from this place asked my disciple to help her save a dead child. My disciple couldn''t help her so he brought her out of the tower and came to ask for my help." "sigh..I reformed the child''s physique and brought his soul back from the Netherworld. After bringing the child back to life, I gave him to my disciple to return him to his mother." "But that disciple of mine didn''t come back since then. So I came to see what happened. Do you know where he is?" After thinking for a while, Headon asked the young man: "Sir, what is the name of your disciple? I will search for him immediately." The young man answered quietly: "His name is Enryu." Chapter 4 "Enryu?" Headon said with a surprised tone. The young man noticed it and asked: "You know him?" "Of course I know him. I am afraid there are few people in the tower who don''t know Enryu." Headon hesitated for a moment before continuing. "Although I can trace the wherabouts of anyone in the tower, there are some exceptions. And...Enryu is one of them" Speaking till now, Headon was afraid that the man will be pissed off because of his inability to find Enryu. But he discovered that the young man was lookign at him with a smirk on his face. "Hmph. Do you think a little rabbit like yourself can trace the wherabouts of my disciple? Although he is my youngest and weakest disciple, he isn''t someone you can track that easily." Headon was a little dejected but didn''t dare say anything. Hearing his words, Headon was quite puzzled. If that young man had the ability to find Enryu why did he need to ask him? While Headon was thinking of this, the young man continued. "You must be thinking that if I could find my disciple why did I ask you, right?" Headon was speechless when he heared him. Can this guy also see through his thoughts? Urgh, I feel I am about to collapse. The young man continued speaking with a rediculing smile on his face. "Actually, I could find my disciple without asking you but I would have to spread my sense across the entire tower. But if I did that, I am afraid the little worms living in the tower will be scared shitless. I can use my sense without them noticing but it''s troublesome so I asked you." Headon was confused. Little worms? Wait...by worms did he mean the guardians of the floors? F*ck! Well, at least I am a rabbit... "Now that I know that kid is in here, I will go look for him. I have a lot of time anyway so I might as well have some fun! Right, little rabbit, tell me about the structure of the tower." Helpless, Headon had no option but to tell him what he needs to know. Chapter 5 After a while, Headon finished explaining the general structure and the system of the tower including the floors, tests, regulars, rankers...etc. "Mm. So I am considered an irregular? And beside me, there are quite a few irregulars as well..." The young man was murmering quietly to himself while Headon was standing there silently. "Oh right. By the disposition of that disciple of mine, he should have created a lot of trouble in the tower, right?" As if remembering something, the man turned and asked. Hearing his question, Headon smiled bitterly but answered nontheless. "Well...He killed the guardian of the 43rd floor because of an incident with Zahard''s followers..." Wait! A woman asked Enryu to save her child... And Enryu killed Zahard''s followers because of... "Sir, the mother of the child you saved...Was her name Arlen Grace?" The man didn''t know why Headon was asking this. He thought for a moment and replied. "Yeah I guess." Hearing his confirmation, Headon was a little excited. "So that''s how it is. Sir, I don''t where Enryu is. But I know the whereabouts of that child you saved!" The man was surprised and spoke with an interested tone: "Oh? Tell me about it." Seeing him interested, Headon felt relieved for some reason. He continued. "Yes. He is currently in the 52nd floor. His name is 25th Baam. He is also called Jue Viole Grace!" He was the one who brought him back to life after all! "Mmm...Maybe I should have a look at him later. But right now, I should head to the second floor." Hearing his words, Headon had a scare. If this man climbed the tower, it will be a disaster. "Hmph. Don''t look at me like that. I am not someone who causes trouble!" Snorting coldly, the young man began to take a walk in the first floor. While walking, the young man spoke again. "Right. A lot of time has passed since my disciple had come here. There is no way that all the trouble he made is just killing a guardian. What else did he make?" Headon was surprised. Enryu was this kind of troublemaker? But other than killing the guardian, he didn''t do anything else and even disappeared in the tower. Suddenly he remembered something. When the young man, who was strolling in the first floor, heared him, he stopped his footsteps. "Phantaminum? He is here in the tower?" They know each other? Headon thought in his heart. Then replied politely. "Yes." The young man narrowed his eyes and a slight smile appeared in his face. "That''s unexpected. Things are getting more and more interesting!" Chapter 6 "Alright little rabbit. Now that you helped me, I will help you with one thing. I don''t like owing people favors. Tell me, what do you want?" Headon felt his heart skip a beat. What should I wish for? After a while, he made up his mind. "Sir, When you entered the tower, you destroyed the laws guarding the gate from the outside. If you don''t mind...could you please restore them?" The young man was a little surprised. "Destroyed? When did I destoy them? The guy who made this tower isn''t simple. I won''t destroy his ''rules'' for no reason. I just shattered the outer layer and made my way through the inner layer without completely destroying it. As long as the core is still intact, and those old monsters don''t make a move, no one will be able to enter. Even ordinary Axis users can''t. Eventually, it will repair itself. Pick another wish." Headon sighed in relief in his heart but was also shocked by this information. Axis users? Old monsters? After thinking for a while he replied. "Eh...I don''t really need anything else." The young man looked at him with a light smile. Headon''s eyes glowed for a moment before returning to normal. He shook his head. "No need. I am used to living here. It''s not that bad actually. Besides, I have my mission to fulfill." The young man nodded. Then he waved his hand and a small token appeared in his hand. "Alright then. Take this tocken. If you are in danger, it will help you save your life once." Headon took the token and looked closely at it. The token was golden in color. In one side, it had the word ''ETERNAL'' and on the other side, it had the word ''HAVEN''. Eternal Haven? Headon toke note of the name in his heart and bowed sincerely. "Thank you, sir!" "Alright, enough of that. Now, I should head to the second floor." Headon nodded his head hurriedly. "I will send you there right away!" He was about to go make preparation but heared the voice of the young man. "No need. I will go myself." After he said these words, the young man raised his finger slowly. As his finger moved, space around it trembled and cracked up. After his finger stopped, a space crack appeared in front of him. Headon was shocked senseless by this scene. Before he could recover from his shock the space crack opened and suffocating aura emitted from it and covered the entire area. This aura...This feeling... It''s too familier. Right. The aura coming from the space crack, emanated the same kind of pressure he felt from that young man before! This pressure...it doesn''t come from someone more powerful than him but from something on a comletely diffrent league of existence than him. "Hmph." A cold snort rang in the floor. Following it, an even more terrifing aura came from the young man. This aura suppresed the aura coming from the space crack and pushed it back inside. "I am just going to the next floor. So what if I break the space here? It can be restored. Don''t make a fuss!" Hearing his cold words, the aura retracted completely into the space crack. Right now, Headon was lying on the ground and drenched in sweat. "See you later, Little Rabbit." His body disappeared entirely in the space crack. Before the space crack disappeared his voice rang out again. "My name is Avren. Remember it well." Chapter 7 The 2nd floor. The floor of tests. Inside the floor, a vast land of grass stretched out to nearly no end. Fights broke out everywhere. The smell of blood became stronger as the time passed. Apparantly, it was the test of the regulars chosen by Headon to climb the tower. ..... Inside a floating building above the battlefield, two rankers were watching the fights among those regulars. Their expressions revealed their surprise, interest and anticipation. "This group of regulars is truly amazing. Three Zahard Princesses! One is even from the Arie Family!" One of the rankers, who was more that two meters tall, spoke excitedly. "Don''t forget that Irregular! I think he is even more monstrous than that princess." The other ranker, who was slim and a little short, replied with a smile. "You can''t say that. Nither of them showed all their abilities yet!" .... At the same time, somewhere in the test battlefield, a young lady was walking slowly between the grass. Her silver whitel long hair was fluttering in the air. She was wearing a white robe with golden fur. On her waist hang a long sword lying in a golden scabbard. She looked both beautiful and majestic. After a while, she stopped. In front of her, two people appeared. On the left, A green haired man with two little fangs coming out of his mouth and two cat-like ears on his head. He looked just like a Beastman but without furs. There was a wild gleam in his eyes like a predator looking at his pray. On the right, A beautiful woman wearing a black robe that covered her entire body except her head. Her hands were holding two sharp daggers that looked rather dangerous. Seeing the two people standing in her way, the white haired young lady looked at them indifferntly and spoke. Alvaro laughed loudly. His laughter was wild and unrestrained, just like his nature. "To think that the Arie Family little princess knows people like us! We are extremely flattered." The Arie Family Princess looked at them with the same indifferent look. "Speak. Don''t waste my time." Alvaro and Susan looked at each other. Then Susan spoke. "Listen, Joice Zahard. We both are of the strongest of this group of regulars. We made a party to pass this test together. We know that you are strong, but you can''t possibly survive alone. How about joining us? We three will be unstoppable!" After speaking, she looked at Joice waiting for her answer. "No need." She spoke with a mild tone. Her eyes showing the same indifference. After saying the words, she walked past the two surprised regulars. Alvaro spoke in agitation. Hes didn''t understand why she refused. Without stopping, Joice spoke with the same tone. "You are too weak." Chapter 8 Both Alvaro and Susan were very displeased. No one would like being looked down upon. Speacially these young geniuses. The two looked at each other and suddenly dashed towards princess Joice. If we can''t get you to join us then go hell! At least we could remove a threat from the next test. Before they could even reach Joice, she turned around and waved her hand horizontally. A wave of mysterious energy erupted and hit both Alvaro and Susan. The two of them were sent flying several meters, blood dripping from their mouths. Their expression was that of shock and fright. "You...You can already control Shinsoo to this degree?!" Susan spoke with a shivering voice. Joice was lookign at them indifferently. But suddenly... Joice raised her head and looked at the sky. Sensing something was wrong, Alvaro and Susan also raised their heads. Whooosh. The sound of ripping the air could be heared as if someone was moving extremely fast. Soon they could see a shadow was descending from the sky. The shadow hit the ground right behind Susan and Alvaro. Dust flew everywhere. A person walked slowly out of the dust. He was a young man. He had dark golden hair and bright golden eyes. His entire clothes were black, looking mysterious and intimidating. The man ignored Alvaro and Susan, and looked at Joice. "You''re quite strong." He said these words while narrowing his eyes a little. His voice was mild but it had an aura of authority. Like a ruler speaking to his subjects. Joice''s expression didn''t look as indifferent as she was before. She now had a serious look on her face. She put her hands on her sword, ready to take action anytime. Alvaro and Susan felt like they were being ignored. They were pissed off. Susan was about to speak to the man who just appeared when Alvaro suddenly held her back. Susan was astonished. She remembered that the people of the Lo Po Bia Family had a high sense of danger and calmed down a little. "What do you think we should do?" She spoke with a low and worried voice. Before Alvaro could answer, they heared the blond man speak. "You should scram." Susan was angered and dashed towards the blond man in rage. She b?r?ly calmed down a while ago but now she didn''t care about Alvaro''s words anymore. "F*ck! This woman is an idiot. How did she become a princess with a brain like that?!" Alvaro cursed in his heart. He knew it was too late. He couldn''t stop her from attacking so he had no choice but to... Yes, to run. It''s not that he was a coward, but there is no point in dying without a reason. "Well, she''s a princess. Maybe he will show her some mercy." Thinking of this, he felt a bit better in his heart. While running he turned his head towards them to see what happened. What he saw was... A head flying in the air. A headless body still standing in front of the blond man. Eventually, the head reached the ground and its eyes were filled with terror and disbelief. Chapter 9 "Holy sh*t! This guy is really ruthless!" Alvaro increased his running speed. He was worried that the blond man will come after him. Fortunately, he was busy with princess Joice right now. Joice stared at the man in front of her cautiously. Her hand never left her sword the entire time. "I heared that an irregular entered the tower lately. If I am not wrong, it should be you, right?" She didn''t even look at the headless corpse in front of the man, as if it was a normal scene. The blond man smiled slightly and said: "As expected from her highness Joice. I just entered the tower But I already heared a lot about you." Joice remaind silent but her hand tightened on the sword. The two of them stared at each other for a while. They were just about to attack when suddenly... "Alright regulars! Those who are still alive, congratulations! you have passed the first phase of the test!" A voice rang in the test battlefield startling all the regulars. "Now the second phase will begin! In five minutes, every three regulars have to form a team! No less! Those who don''t will be eliminated." "You can form a team by touching each other. If more more than 3 are touching, three of them will be randomly chosen! The rest will be eliminated!" Hearing the voice, princess Joice and the blond man, who were about to attack, stopped and began to think. A while later, The blond man finally spoke. "What do you say, princess? Do you want to form a team?" Joice frowned a little and said: "It seems we don''t have a choice. But even if we form a team, we still need another person." The man was about to reply when suddenly... The world turned dark. All colors disappeared and the world''s color seems to turn into grey. Time seemed to freeze. The entire 2nd Floor was deathly silent. Even the two rankers in the floating building were frozen in their places, losing their ability to move. Suddenly, an enraged voice could be heared across the entire floor. "You little piece of sh*t! Didn''t we already reach an agreement?!" The floor started trembling violently. This shout caused everyone''s heart to squeeze. They felt their souls are being crushed by that shout. All the regulars fainted and fell on the ground and the rankers spit out mouthfuls of blood and recieved serious internal injuries. The only regulars who were still conscious, were Joice and the blond irregular. They were lying on the ground, their blood everywhere. "I will pass whether you want it or not. But if you keep obstructing me, I will tear your little guardians into shreds! Not just in this floor but in EVERY floor." After the voice spoke these words, a large crack quickly appeared in the sky above Joice and the blond man. The crack opened and a young man walked out. The man snorted lightly then looked around. He found a young man and a young lady seriously injured on the ground. "sigh...I should have let Headon send me here instead." Chapter 10 After sighing lightly, Avren raised his hands and white light enveloped the two figures lying on the ground. Instantly, all their wounds healed. Not only that, they felt their minds become clearer and their senses sharpen to an unimaginable degree. Although they were unable to move and seriously wounded, they could still feel what happened a while ago. They knew perfectly well that the young man who appeared in the sky wasn''t simple at all. Joice was stunned. A while ago, she could feel unbelievable power from this young man, even stronger than her father. But now she couldn''t feel anything from him as if he''s an ordinary person. The blond irregular was even more stunned. He came from the outside, so he knew a lot more than Joice. "This level of power...Although I can''t comprehend it clearly, I know it shouldn''t exist in at least the first 200 floors of the tower!" "According to what the anscestor once said, this tower has a total of 300 floors. All the floors have one guardian each. The first 200 floors are designed for those who havn''t reached the Rule Breaking State yet, so their guardians are only at the Rule Breaking State!" "But starting from the 201st floor, the guardians are all axis users! Which means these floors are meant to test people at the Rule Breaking State. Althought I don''t understand the extent of this man''s power, he''s absolutely not weaker than the Rule Breaking State! So what is he doing here?!" While the blond man was deep in thought, Avren landed his sight in him. Instantly, a flash of amusement appeared in his eyes. "Hey, kid, does your clan know you''re here?" The blond man was startled. "You...you know about my clan?" He was shocked. Even outside the tower, very few people knew about his clan. "It seems they don''t. If they find out, you will be in deep sh*t." "Don''t worry, I won''t tell your clan about you. I can even help you get out safely." The blond man was getting suspicious. Why would this young man suddenly help him for no reason? "Why would you help me?" Avren answered righteously. "There is a bit friendship between me and your clan. You, as a junior of the clan, are in trouble. It''s my responsibility as a senior to help you out!" Although he was speaking in a righteous tone, he was laughing like crazy in his heart. "Friendship my ***. If that old bastard knows that one of his direct descendants is traveling with me, he will be pissed of for sure. And if I take that kid as a disciple...I bet he will explode from anger! Hahahaha." Chapter 11 While the blond man was thinking, Avren moved his attention to the young lady. "Eh..?" He gasped lightly. Then a slight smile appeared on his face. He thought in his heart: "What a surprise! I didn''t expect to see someone with that physique again." Seeing his surprised expression, Joice was a little confused. She was sure that she had never met that young man before. At this moment, the blond man, who was thinking, spoke. "Alright, I will go with you." Seeing him agree, Avren was quite pleased. "Right, young lady, would you like to join us?" Joice was surprised by his invitation. She started thinking. Now that the floor is a mess, the test will be cancelled for sure and we will be stuck in this floor for a long time. Judging by this man''s strength, maybe he can find a way to go to the next floor. "Alright, I will join you." After thinking for a while, she agreed. "Great! We should leave now, but before that, we should get know each other. We will start with you, young lady." Realising that they will have to travel together, both Joice and the blond irregular thought it was a good idea. After she finished, Avren looked at the blond man and said: "It''s your turn, kid." The young man was a little irritated. You called her ''young lady'', why are you calling me ''kid''? "My name is Long Jin. I am an irregular, so I came from outside of the tower. My clan is one of the nine Eternal Territories outside the tower, the Eternal Dragon Clan. I specialize in claw techniques but I know other techniques as well. As we already have a fisherman, I can be the spear bearer." Joice was surprised by this information. She was curious about the world outside the tower. She asked. "Nine Eternal Territories? What are those?" Knowing that she knows nothing about the outside, Long Jin explained patiently. "Outside the tower, there are countless numbers of universes. These universes are created naturally and have numerous living beings. But Eternal Territories are different. They are created artificially. Each of these territories has an Eternal existence overseeing it. That''s why it''s called ''Eternal''. Actually, that exiatence is also the creator of the Eternal Territory." "My Eternal Dragon Clan has an Eternal existence so we are one of the nine Eternal Territories! In fact, this tower is also one of the nine Eternal Territories. It''s real name is The Eternal Tower!" "Every Eternal Territory has a certain goal or specific reason for it to exist. For example, our Eternal Dragon Clan was created as a place meant for only our clan to settle. No outsider is allowed in." Joice asked curiously: "If that''s the case, then what is the goal of the tower?" She wanted to know why all these people are kept inside the tower. Why can''t they get out? "This...I don''t know." Long Jin shook his head. Joice was a little disappointed in her heart but didn''t show it in her face. Avren, who was listening silently the whole time, spoke. "The goal of the tower is to produce large numbers of Axis Users. It helps the people inside increase their potential and talent to a very high degree so that they could have a better chance to breakthrough." Chapter 12 "Well, enough of that. I guess it''s my turn now." "My name is Avren. I came from the outside of the tower, so I can be considered as an irregular. I also came from one of the nine Eternal Territories, The Eternal Haven." Although Long Jin had predicted that he also came from an Eternal Territory, he didn''t expect it to be the Eternal Haven. "As for my position...I think I can play anything." Joice and Long Jin nodded their heads. They have witnessed this man''s strength, so they had no problems with what he said. "Now, how can we go to the next floor?" Joice asked suddenly. Jin also looked at Avren waiting to hear his solution. "If I were alone, I would have opened a space channel to the next floor, just like how I came from the first floor. But now I can''t. You guys can''t handle its power, it will tear you apart." Jin and Joice were a little embarassed. "So I will go have a little chat with the guardian to see if he could send us to the next floor." Jin and Joice had a bad feeling about the ''chat'' he mentioned. "But before that... Joice, I''d like to ask you a question." Joice was surprised and a little puzzled. But she didn''t refuse. "Please ask." Avren asked: "If you and Long Jin had a fight, who do you think will win?" Joice was taken a back. Even Jin was a little surprised. "He is a little stronger than me. But if it''s an all out battle, I think it''ll be a tie." Her voice was serious and confident. Hearing her answer, Avren smiled lightly. "Correct. But that''s only inside the tower. If you fight outside, he could kill you with a finger!" Joice was shocked but calmed her self down. "Why? What''s the differnce?" Avren had a sly smile on his face. "You should figure that out yourself. During our journey, try to observe him when he''s fighting. Let''s see how many floors it will take you to figure it out. Haha, good luck." "I am going to the guardian now, wait for me here." After he disappeared, Joice kept staring at Jin. She was looking straight at his face. Her face was a little serious and curious but at the same time, cold and indifferent. She kept staring untill Jin, who was usually grim and intimidating, started to become uncomfortable. In his heart, he cursed Avren for making Joice observe him all the journey. Why couldn''t he just tell her?! But seriously, what''s the reason for her losing the fight easily outside the tower? If he knew the reason he would just tell her to get rid of that stare. "Cough. Princess, could you stop staring at me?" He finally couldn''t take it anymore so he asked. Joice replied coldly: "I am observing you." "Avren said to observe me when I am fighting, not all the time!" Joice thought about his words and found it reasonable. Finally, she took her sight away from him and stayed silent. Jin sighed in relief. It seems she isn''t that unreasonable after all. .... A few minutes later, Avren appeared again. He looked at Joice and Jin. "Ready to go?" Joice and Jin nodded their heads. "Alright, send us now!" The three of thim were instantly teleported to the next floor. Chapter 13 The tower was full of gossip and rumors these days, specially after the incident 3 years ago in the floor of tests. The rumors say that 3 years ago, the second floor was attacked by unknown people. All the regulars fainted and were gravely injured. More than half of them have no chance to climb the tower ever again. Not to mention, the supervising rankers were also seriously injured. The most mysterious thing is that no one saw the attackers or how they were attacked. But the most famous rumor is about a team of regulars that appeared right after the attack of the second floor. ...... "Hey, have you heared that the three monsters arrived in the 20th floor?" "What?! For real? They are ridiculously fast!" "But that''s weird. Usually, irregulars and Zahard don''t get along." "Who cares! It''s not our business." "What''s stranger, is that they don''t take the tests of the supervisors. They always take the tests of the guardian!" "Yeah, I heared in the 3rd floor, their test was to recieve an attack of 10% of the power of a ranker! That''s insane." "That''s nothing! In the 12 floor their test was to endure a full power attack of a ranker! And in the last floor, the 19th floor, they could already fight evenly with ranker for a short period of time!" "That''s really insane. A regulars test is fighting with a ranker? What''s wrong with the guardians?" "Well, they''re called super regulars for a reason. Besides, they arn''t the first regulars that can fight with rankers. That slayer candidate, is also a super regular. He can even defeat rankers easily, not to mention just fight them!" "I agree. But I believe they will reach his level one day." ...... But that''s not the problem. The problem was the test given by the guardian to these regulars! An all out fight with a ranker! If they win, they pass. If they lose, they fail. "what the hell is the guardian thinking? Something is wrong about those three regulars. All their tests untill now have been fighting rankers." The supervisor stroke his chin while thinking. Knock! Knock! Suddenly, knocking sound could be heared from the door. "Come in." A man entered the room. He was a tall, slim man. His hair was silver white and sword hang on his waist. It was obvious which clan did he come from. The man entered the room, looked at the supervisor and spoke. "I already talked to the ruler of the floor. I will be taking over this test." The supervisor was surprised: "What? Don''t you think that''s a little unfair? An Arie Family ranker bullying some regulars?" The Arie Family ranker wasn''t angered. He answered coldly: "They brought it upon themselves. Being arrogant isn''t good. Someone has to put them in their places." Saying that, he walked out of the room heading to the test area. Chapter 14 The 20th floor, the test area. 3 people were standing beside each other. Across them, a silver white haired man standing arrogantly and looking at them coldy. There was a hint of disdain in his eyes. These three people are naturally Avren, Joice and Jin. In the middle, the supervisor was standing there and started explaining the rules of the test. "Your test is to defeat a ranker in an all out battle. The test will be held over 3 days. Every day, one of you will fight this ranker here in a one on one fight. If one of you win, all three of you pass the test." The three were surprised. They didn''t expect that only one of them needs to win. Jin and Joice relaxed. Even if they fight a high ranker and couldn''t win, Avren can easily win. "Joice, you go. Although he''s from your family, we need to move faster. So make it quick." Joice nodded slightly. Then took a step forward. The Arie Family ranker was burning with rage in his heart, but his expression was ice cold. Seeing both of them are ready, the supervisor spoke. "Begin!" The ranker didn''t attack immediately, but started speaking instead. "Princess, why are you making this hard for yourself?" Joice gave him a cool look. "Hard? Don''t praise yourself." Her voice was mild and cool but her words were a little ''savage''. "Although we are from the same clan and you are a princess, I won''t go easy on you!" After he spoke, he heared Jin, who was standing not too far away, speak impatiently. The Arie Family ranker shot him a look, and spoke coldly. "Tomorrow, you two will be dead!" Jin gave him a sarcastic smile. "You won''t have the chance!" Avren just looked at him as if looking at a clown. Amusement was clear in his eyes. The Arie Family ranker no longer paid the two any attention and focused on Joice. "Then let''s start, princess!" As soon as he spoke, he unsheathed his sword and dashed forward. He suddenly appeared in front of Joice and slashed directly at Joice. But before the two swords collided, the ranker''s sword moved like a snake and aimed straight at Joice''s neck. Joice''s reaction was even faster. She bent down and avoided the sword, then slashed direcly at the ranker''s waist. The ranker felt the danger coming and retreated fast, avoiding the slash in time. The ranker didn''t expect that a regular could avoid his attack and even counter attack. He was more than a little astonished. The supervisor was also shocked. He heared a lot about these regulars, but witnessing it is completely different! Avren and Jin didn''t looked surprised at all. Jin looked at Joice and sighed emotionally. "She''s really a genius. I don''t even know if I could defeat her without transforming!" Avren was looking at Joice with a happy expression. "Indeed. I just taught her the basics and she has already come this far. Plus, her flow of shinsoo has changed a lot in the past 3 years. As expected of the Limitless Devouring Physique!" Chapter 15 The fight continued, the two crossed swords for a while. Bang! Suddenly, there was was a big collision. Joice and the ranker retreated to their original spots. Joice was in the same condition as the beginning except that her breath was a little heavy. The ranker, on the other hand, wasn''t in a good shape. His clothes was ripped and blood was dropping out of his mouths. "Alright, princess. Good! Very good!" He was very angry. He was a ranker! How can he be reduced to such a sorry state by a regular. Unacceptable! Even if it''s the princess, he still couldn''t accept it. Joice eyes were cold. She was getting a little annoyed by this man''s behaviour. Suddenly, the flaw of shinsoo around her changed! Before, it felt like she just used the shinsoo to attack. But now, it felt that the shinsoo was submitting to her, becoming something of her own! "She figured it out already! Impressive." Avren nodded his head in appreciation. He was very pleased with her progress. Jin also had a serious look on his face. Before 3 years, he was very confident to defeat her without even transforming. But now, it seems he wouldn''t stand a chance in his human form. After all he''s from the Eternal Dragon Clan. His real form is a Dragon! The supervisor was startled by the sudden change. He felt a sense danger coming from the current Joice. The air in the test area became a little heavy. Heavy pressure pressed down the Arie Family ranker. Although his movement wasn''t restricted, he still felt uncomfortable. "This flow of Shinsoo...Impossible!" "How can this be?! You''re just a regular! How can you control Shinsoo like that?!" Joice looked at him indifferntly. "If you''re going to stand still, I will slice you in a half." The Arie Family ranker regained his compsture and took his stance. He pointed the tip of the sword at Joice. A moment later, he thrust the sword forward. White sword light shoot directly at Joice. Joice raised the sword in her right hand above her head. Holy white Shinsoo gathered around the sword. Before the ranker''s attack could reach her, she slashed down her sword at his attack. Like a piece of paper, the ranker''s attack was sliced into two. The attack didn''t stop there, it continued and crashed at the ranker, who was using his sword to defend. A huge boom rang out in the test area. The ranker was thrown 20 meters away, his sword broken in a half. He lied down on the floor in a pool of blood. He lost consciousness. Seeing this, the supervisor inhaled a deep breath. He looked at the ranker who was in such a sorry state. Then looked at Joice. Her face pale. Obviously, that last attack drained a lot of her energy. But she didn''t have a single wound! He sighed and announced. "The winner is princess Joice! As per the rules of the test, the entire team have passed the test and can go to the next floor!" Chapter 16 In the same building of the test, in a quiet room, a young lady was sitting on a chair in a calm manner. The young lady had silver white hair. It was very similar to the color of Joice''s hair. Right, this woman was from the Arie Family. But she isn''t just any member of the Arie Family! Her name is Arie Hagipherione Zahard! A Princess of Zahard and a member of the Arie Family. She is a High Ranker, an excelling Princess and possesses the Red October of the 13 months! Not only that, but her rank is 36! She is one of only two people to have passed Arie Hon''s special test on the 100th Floor, the other person being Urek Mazino! Beside her, a man was kneeling on the ground, his eyes full of worry and fear. He was Augusgus, the test director of the 20th floor. He was sweating hard and his heart was in chaos. Why did this disaster come here? A big shot like her came here for what?! Right now, the ranker was lying on the floor unconscious. Clearly, the fight has ended. Hagipherione narrowed her eyes a little and kept thinking for a while. "Very impressive. A regular, who is still on the 20th floor, could fight to this degree...quite interesting. Besides...this flow of Shinsu...it''s differnet. It seems I have to report to the Family Head about this. I really didn''t waste my time coming here." She smiled brightly then stood up from her seat and prepared to leave. Before leaving she looked at Jin and Avren. "That blond young man doesn''t seem any weaker than this sister of mine. He gives me the feeling of a hidden beast that shouldn''t be provoked. It''s a pity he''s still young. As for that black haired young man beside him...I can''t sense anything from him at all." She frowned slightly while thinking. A while later, she left, not sparing even a glance at the kneeling Augusgus. ..... News has spread in the entire floor about the test. Everyone was speechless. "Fighting an all out fight against a ranker? And even rendering him unconscious? That''s unbelievable!" "It''s not just any ranker! It''s an Arie Family ranker at that! Princess Joice is really a genius!" "I wonder if the other two are as strong as her. I am sure they arn''t that far from her!" "Of course they are! How can they be worthy of accompaying the princess without having the necessary strength?" "You''re right!" ... At the same time, in an unknown place within the tower. A huge palace stood in the middle of the clouds. The palace was very majestic and had an aura that even the flow of time couldn''t affect it. In a hall inside the palace, a white haired old man was sitting on a throne. The old man was frowning and was evidently displeased. The atmosphere in the hall was very depressing. The other people in the hall were affected by the atmosphere and felt very hard to speak. Finally one of the people summoned up his courage and spoke. "Supreme Elder, I have something to report." After speaking, he looked cautiously at the old man sitting on the throne. "What? Did that bastard do it again?!" The Supreme Elder asked him angrily. He was in a very bad mode, which is very rare for this Elder. Among the Supreme Elders, this one has the best temperament. He rarely got angry and always had a kind smile on his face. But now... He was clearly not in a normal state. The man that was reporting smiled bitterly and clasped his hands. Chapter 17 Despite his rage, the Supreme Elder tried his best to remain calm. At least in the surface. Unfortunately, all the people in the hall could sense his anger and frustration. After a moment of brief silence, the Supreme Elder spoke. "I don''t understand this guy. Our relations with the Eternal Haven is quite good. I can''t see the reason behind his behaviour." The more the Supreme Elder spoke, the more furious he became. Seeing the Supreme Elder so angry, a man who looked middle aged stepped forward and spoke. "Supreme Elder, this man has entered the tower forcefully. We tried to stop him at that time but you stopped us. May I know why?" The Supreme Elder looked at the middle aged man and sighed. "Third Elder, it''s not that I didn''t want to stop him. But the Ancestor sent me a message to let it slide. I had no choice." All the people in the hall were shocked. The Ancestor? Why would such a mighty being speak for this guy? That troublemaker''s strength, they had seen very clearly. He was an Axis User. An extremely strong one at that. You could say that his strength is at the most peak of Axis Users. But that''s it. But now the Ancestor, an Eternal Being, spoke for this guy?! Why?! It doesn''t make sense! Seeing their shock, the Supreme Elder sighed in depression. "Although the Ancestor told me to let him enter, it doesn''t mean he could do whatever he wants! He broke the rules of the tests in all 20 floors. He even broke the space between the first and second floors! I can no longer pretend I didn''t notice." Saying that, the Elder looked at the middle aged man. "Third Elder, go pay him a visit. Tell him to behave. If he doesn''t, teach him a lesson and throw him out!" The Third Elder calsped his hands and bowed slightly. "Yes, Supreme Elder!" "Wait." The Third Elder turned to the Supreme Elder and asked politely. "Do you have any more instructions, Supreme Elder?" The Suprme Elder waved his hand and a sword appeared in his hands. "The people of the Eternal Haven are all monsters whose battle strength defies logic. This is a Semi-Eternal treasure. I shall lend it to you just in case." All the people in the hall looked at the Third Elder enviously. Although the Supreme Elder only lent the sword to the Third Elder, it''s still a huge opprtunity. A Semi-Eternal treasure has a trace of a unique Energy. Despite being vastly inferior to the true Eternal Energy, this Energy surpasses the Energy used by any Axis User by a large margin. If he could gain insights of this Energy, his strength will rocket up! The Third Elder was greatly moved. He bowed to the Supreme Elder. "Thank you, Supreme Elder!" "Go." Chapter 18 The 20th floor. After Joice crushed the Arie Family ranker, the supervisor announced that Joice, Jin and Avren had all passed the test. Right now, the trio were sitting in a private room in a restaurant, eating and chatting happily. "Hahaha. That Arie Family ranker was so full of himself but he was still crushed by Joice! That was very satisfying." Jin said happily. "This time we passed without even taking the test thanks to Joice. Next time will be your turn, kid." Avren liked teasing Jin and Joice. When they met 3 years ago, Jin was grim and stubborn. But now, he was easy going and smiled more. But only when he was with Joice and Avren. As for Joice, she was cold and indiffernt. Although she''s still cold now, it''s much better than the past. Right now, Joice had a rare smile on her face. Jin was a little dazed when he saw that smile but quickly came back to normal. "Avren, right now who''s stronger between me and Jin?" Joice was curious. During the past 3 years, she and Jin sparred frequenly. Though Jin was a little stronger, the gap wasn''t that big. Now, that she comprehended another way to use Shinsu, which was much stronger, she wanted to know if she could beat him or at least not lose. Jin was also curious to know the answer. Avren replied honestly. "Human form?" Joice asked, a little taken a back. "Yeah. He is---" Before Avren could continue, he felt a wave of energy coming from another space within the tower. And it''s destination was the 20th floor! Avren''s expression changed a little. A barrier appeared around the three of them. Joice and Jin were surprised by the sudden change but they knew there must be a reason for that. "What happened?" Jin asked. As a member of an Eternal Territoy, he knew a lot more than Joice. He knew that Avren wasn''t simple at all. Even in his Clan, where experts are like clouds, only a few were stronger than him. For such a powerful person to behave like that, it must be serious! "A troublesome fellow has come." Avren said slowly and stood up. "Stay here. I will go see what he wants." After that he vanished from where he was standing. Joice and Jin looked at each other. Worry was evident in their eyes.
