《Strange! My Magics are Cultivating on Their Own》 Chapter 1 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations ¡°Your magic shield is absorbing the space energy of the Universe. It is adequately growing.¡± ¡°Your Magic Shield has grown to critical value. You have mastered Magic Shield.¡± Lorne, who was sitting cross-legged, opened his eyes. He turned his hands in front of him. A golden shield appeared before him. Lorne was overjoyed. However, he immediately fell into a state of melancholy. He was happy that his magic had its own consciousness and could cultivate by itself. The melancholy was regarding the world he came from. He did not know anyone here nor did he have any relatives. Two days ago he had crossed into Holzyard. Here, Magical Beasts roamed freely and were full of dangers. Fortunately, he became a Mage Apprentice of the Allison Institute. The Allison Institute Of Magic was one of the few magical institutions in the world. Of course, that was in the past because magic training was too difficult. Many people practiced magic as a sub-occupation. They mainly cultivated sword techniques and physical techniques, while magic was used to assist themselves. If he specialized in magic, he would wait until his strength reached that of an Archmage. At that time, he was already an old man. How could he still be so ambitious? So, except for those talented mages. There were very few people who specialized in magic. Furthermore, cultivating magic didn¡¯t only require one to cultivate as a Mage, one also had to think of ways to increase one¡¯s mental strength. Otherwise, his mental strength would not be enough to support the release of spells. In this world, mages were ranked according to their mental strength. Mage Apprentice, Mage, Archmage, Mage God, Supreme Mage God. The headmaster of the Allison Institute was a Mage God. But he usually did not appear. It was said that he was in seclusion to break through to the Supreme Mage God. And Lorne¡¯s teacher, Camet, was an Archmage. The first day he came to the academy was to learn how to cultivate Spiritual Power. The next day, in order to let Lorne and the others know the difficulty of training, he would teach them the simplest life-saving skill, Magic Shield. On the second day, when everyone started to train their Magic Shields. Lorne was still working on his Spiritual Power training. To Lorne, who had just arrived in this world, Magic was unimaginable to him. After a day of cultivation, he still hadn¡¯t found a way to cultivate his Spirit Power. Feeling somewhat discouraged, he began to attempt to cultivate his Magic Shield. At that moment, the system awakened. While others were still training their Magic Shields, Lorne had learned Magic Shields. Bang! A muffled sound echoed in the room. The Magic Shield emitted energy and the marble in front of him had already shattered into pieces. It was hard enough to withstand bullets from his previous life. ¡°It looks like it¡¯s time to find Camet and learn a new spell.¡± Lorne was in a good mood because from today onwards, he was also a Mage. In this dangerous world, he finally had the ability to protect himself. Just as he was rejoicing. There was a click. The sound of the cup shattering reached Lorne¡¯s ears. Lorne turned to look. A teenager in his teens and twenties stood at the door. The young man was wearing a white robe. However, there were patches of green and purple on his robe. It looked very sloppy. The young man¡¯s name was Rook and he was Lorne¡¯s senior. He came to the Magic Academy a year earlier than him. He was considered to be from the same hometown as him. He was very passionate even though he was in the Magic Academy. But he was obsessed with pharmaceutics. And the robe on his body was probably left behind by his interactions with pharmaceutics. ¡°Oh my God! Lorne, you actually learned how to use a Magic Shield!¡± Rook looked at him with delight. ¡°Senior, when did you come over?¡± Lorne was very puzzled. Everyone in this school had their own room. Meanwhile, Rook¡¯s room was in another building which was not close to him. ¡°I¡¯ve developed a new potion. I want you to try it for me.¡± ¡°But that¡¯s not the point.¡± As Rook spoke, he rushed over and grabbed Lorne¡¯s hand. He looked at Rook who was more excited than he was. Lorne quickly said, ¡°Senior, calm down!¡± Hearing him say this, Rook still found it hard to calm down. ¡°Lorne, you actually learned Magic Shield?¡± Rook¡¯s voice was loud, shaking his ears. ¡°Yeah, why?¡± Lorne asked curiously. Didn¡¯t he just learn a spell? And it was the most basic magic. Rook actually had such a big reaction. ¡°What?¡± Rook¡¯s voice rose another octave as he fought to suppress the rising emotions in his chest. ¡°Do you know what you¡¯re talking about? Are you crazy?¡± Rook stared at Lorne in disbelief. Listen to what Lorne had just said. In this world, Magic was difficult to cultivate. It had only been a few days since Lorne started training his magic shield. However, he was not surprised at all. This was beyond Rook¡¯s knowledge. ¡°Senior, calm down.¡± Lorne comforted him. ¡°What? You want me to calm down? Do you know what you¡¯ve done?¡± ¡°You have to know that our school¡¯s strongest genius, Dean Allison, also took half a month to cultivate his Magic Shield.¡± ¡°You¡¯re actually telling me to not be agitated?¡± Rook thought Lorne must be crazy. ¡°No. I need to take you to see Mr. Camet. He has to know about this.¡± As he spoke, Rook wanted to pull Lorne to meet Camet. ¡°Senior, aren¡¯t you going to clean up the medicine you dropped?¡± Lorne reminded him. ¡°Ah!¡± ¡°My potion!¡± ¡°This is a potion that I¡¯ve been researching for a month!¡± Lorne could only sympathize as he listened to Rook¡¯s wailing. He helped him pack up the medicine on the ground. Lorne tried to comfort him again to renew Rook¡¯s fighting spirit. ¡°Junior, the Senior is telling you to find Master Camet.¡± ¡°When the time comes, you¡¯ll get better teaching in Magic.¡± Upon hearing Rook say that, Lorne asked curiously, ¡°What¡¯s the difference between that and other teachers in magic school?¡± He saw that he looked like a novice. The good old man, Rook, would have Camet teach and explain the difference between normal and not normal. ¡°You have to know that everyone studies together in school.¡± ¡°However, with your talent, if you were accepted as a disciple by Camet, your level of knowledge would naturally be much higher.¡± Lorne suddenly understood. One was a one-on-one teaching by a master while the other was a teacher teaching the entire class alone. Let¡¯s not talk about how much he taught, just an one on one session would lead to a quick increase of his knowledge. There was also a huge difference in their understanding of magic. Therefore, it was necessary to look for Camet. Lorne nodded. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, Senior. I¡¯ll definitely look for Master Camet.¡± He thought about how he could learn other spells later on. Lorne looked forward to meeting Master Camet. I really don¡¯t know what kind of magic Master Camet will teach me then.. Chapter 2 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations ¡°Check the detailed panel!¡± Lorne called out the system and checked his stats. ¡°Host: Lorne.¡± ¡°Age: 18.¡± Level: Mage Apprentice ¡°Magic: Magic Shield (Level 1: 10%)¡± He checked his current stats. Lorne felt like he still had a lot to improve on. He had finally learned a magic skill. It was a Level 1 spell, the lowest level of magic. Magic levels ranged from Level 1 to Level 9. A Level 9 spell was far inferior to a Level 1 spell. A Level 1 Magic Shield could only protect oneself. But if the Magic Shield is Level 9. One could even reflect the opponent¡¯s weapon or attack back. Moreover, he would also be in the Mage God Realm. How you chose depended on yourself. Currently, Lorne¡¯s shield could only damage the marble. He was still far from being able to use a spell of the Ninth-Level. Even to normal Mages, it was no different from trash. ¡°Magic Shield, you have to work hard!¡± Lorne sighed. He hoped the Magic Shield worked a little harder. In that way, he would be able to dominate the Holzyard Continent with a Ninth-Level Magic Shield. ¡°The Magic Shield heard your thoughts and trained even harder.¡± Lorne was delighted to hear the system prompt. He did not expect his praise to have such an effect. While he was delighted, he decided to praise his Magic Shield more in the future. ¡°Your Magic Shield has sensed your mood and is working even harder.¡± ¡°Your Magic Shield is trying to absorb the energy of space.¡± He listened to the system prompt. He then looked at the progress of the Magic Shield. Lorne was also very happy. ¡°Magic Shield is working so hard, I can¡¯t let it get too lonely.¡± ¡°It¡¯s time to look for Master Camet and learn other magic spells.¡± At this point, Lorne walked towards Master Camet¡¯s office. Arriving at his office, Lorne saw Master Camet was studying a new self-created spell. Camet¡¯s talent wasn¡¯t the best at Allison Institution. He was already an Archmage now but due to his age. He knew that it would be very difficult for him to break through to the Mage God Realm in this lifetime. Therefore, he decided to teach the students seriously. And the students would come over to ask him questions. Just like that, Master Camet became the best teacher among the students. Because, regardless of whether they were his disciples or not, as long as there was a problem, he would do his best to teach them. As such, he became the most popular teacher in the academy. The original Lorne had also become his disciple because of this reason. Dong dong dong! ¡°Come in, please,¡± Camet said without looking up. Until Lorne came to him. He looked up at him and slowly said, ¡°What did you need, Lorne?¡± ¡°Master Camet, I want to learn a new magic spell.¡± Lorne spoke directly. Camet wasn¡¯t angry when he heard that. He told Lorne to sit down. Then, he said slowly, ¡°Lorne, do you know what is the most important thing in cultivating magic?¡± ¡°Knowledge?¡± Lorne said uncertainly. ¡°That¡¯s right, knowledge.¡± Camet nodded but then shook his head. ¡°You¡¯re right but not completely. In my opinion, knowledge is only one aspect. The most important thing is to cultivate magic.¡± ¡°You have to build a good foundation before you can learn magic. Otherwise, it will be like building a house. If the foundation is not built properly, how will the tall buildings be built?¡± ¡°Do you understand?¡± Camet stroked his white beard and spoke kindly. ¡°I understand.¡± Lorne nodded. On the continent of Holzyard, magic was the most difficult course to learn. Not only did he need to build a good foundation but he also needed to rehearse the runes. He had already released all sorts of spells and mobilized his Magic Energy. It required a lot of effort to engrave these words into his mind. Therefore, in Camet¡¯s opinion, building a good foundation was the most important. He nodded in satisfaction at Lorne¡¯s answer. This was because there would always be such students at school. It wasn¡¯t the first time Camet had encountered one. When they first started learning magic, they would want to learn some powerful magic. He didn¡¯t care about Magic Shields. For example, a few years ago, there was a girl who was obsessed with fire-based explosive magic. In the beginning, it gave him a headache but under his guidance. In the end, she walked on the right path. And this Lorne in front of him was one of the few who could directly listen to him. This was because young people who had just entered the Magic Academy would more or less have some arrogance. But Lorne didn¡¯t. This child was very good. Camet smiled with satisfaction. ¡°Master Camet, I want to learn new magic.¡± Hearing Lorne¡¯s words. Camet¡¯s smile of satisfaction froze. He had just praised Lorne in his heart. He was slapped in the face. Fortunately, Camet was known for his good temper. If it were any other hot-tempered teacher, they might have directly given Lorne a Blazing Blast. And send him back to his hometown. Taking a deep breath, Camet began to patiently persuade Lorne. ¡°Lorne, you must know that everyone¡¯s energy is limited.¡± ¡°For example, we let you learn a spell first so that you can master it.¡± ¡°From there, you can train your mental strength. If you learn other spells directly, you will only strain your mental strength when you release it.¡± ¡°So before you master the Magic Shield.¡± ¡°I¡¯m not going to teach you any other powerful magic.¡± Camet said firmly. After saying that, he stroked his beard angrily, looking a little impatient. He wanted to persuade him to get back on track as he did with other young people who had just learned magic. ¡°But I¡¯ve already mastered the Magic Shield?¡± Lorne said helplessly as if the Magic Shield was a simple magic. Hearing him say that, Camet¡¯s eyes widened in shock. What did this child just say? He learned Magic Shield? Camet thought it was because he was getting old. Not just his eyes but even his ears were starting to hear wrong. He actually heard Lorne say that he had mastered Magic Shield? He had only been in the Magic Academy for three days. And the strongest genius who founded the Allison Institute. It had taken Master Allison half a month to master the Magic Shield. How was this possible? ¡°Lorne, what did you just say?¡± To prevent himself from mishearing the question, Camet decided to ask again. ¡°Master Camet, I have mastered the magic shield.¡± Lorne spoke respectfully again. Master Camet gasped. His hand that was stroking his beard suddenly tightened and a few strands of beard fell with his hand. Holding back the pain, Camet hid his beard behind his back, expressionless. It was mainly because Lorne¡¯s words had shocked him greatly. That was why he had made such a move but it was to protect his image of dignity in front of his students. He could only endure the pain of pulling out his beard.. Chapter 3 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations Camet was stunned. Lorne had mastered the Magic Shield in three days. This had never happened in his decades of knowledge. And now, such a genius was standing in front of him. It had to be known that the Great Mage Allison, whom he admired the most, had taken half a month to cultivate his Magic Shield. And Lorne only spent three days. In these three days, he did not just need to learn Magic Shield. This included the arrangement of Runes and the mobilization of Magic Energy. The cultivation of mental strength and the successful release of the Magic Shield. Even if he learned these things in a day, it would still take about a week. Because he still had to go to class. But Lorne? It took him only three days to master all of this. Of course, these were all built on the premise that he already knew Magic Shield. But he believed Lorne wouldn¡¯t lie. The price of lying at the Academy Of Allison. Not only would he be expelled but he would also be blacklisted by the Association Of Mages. He would never learn magic again. And his false deeds would accompany him for life. So Camet never even thought about it. However, he still wanted to see how powerful Lorne¡¯s Magic Shield was. ¡°Lorne, release your Magic Shield and let me see.¡± Camet spoke slowly when he recovered from his daze. To ease his mood, he stroked his beard. ¡°Very well, Master Camet.¡± As he spoke, Lorne shouted to his Magic Shield, ¡°Magic Shield, come out!¡± With a buzz, a Magic Shield appeared in front of him. Camet, who had been prepared, was instantly dumbfounded. He saw something. Lorne released his Magic Shield without chanting. This meant that Lorne¡¯s affinity for magic far exceeded that of ordinary people. Only this kind of person could release magic in an instant. There was also a long connection. He engraved the spell of the Magic Shield in his mind. However, it was clearly impossible for this little guy whom he had only known for three days. While he was dumbfounded, he subconsciously tightened his grip on his beard. Then, a few strands of beard fell off. ¡°Sh.¡± ¡°Master Camet, are you all right?¡± Lorne asked with concern. ¡°Ahem, I¡¯m fine. Maybe I¡¯m getting old and my beard is falling off.¡± Camet smiled, embarrassed. Lorne nodded. It turned out that no matter how powerful a Mage was, they could not escape the fate of losing their hair. ¡°Cough, cough. Alright, let¡¯s not talk about the beard. Let me ask you, did you not chant the spell when you were training your Magic Shield?¡± Camet changed his constipated expression and asked seriously. ¡°Yes but I felt that it was too slow to release magic like that, so I directly mobilized Magic Energy to release the Magic Shield.¡± That was true but Lorne hadn¡¯t actually chanted a single word. He didn¡¯t even remember it. He couldn¡¯t read it even if you asked him to. Due to the system, he only needed to chant ¡®Magic Shield¡¯ in his heart. He didn¡¯t even need to do it himself. However, it was for the sake of the hidden system. He could only make up a white lie. Hearing Lorne¡¯s words, Camet looked as if he had expected it. It was as if everything was within his expectations. ¡°It seems like I was right. Lorne should be a natural born Mage. Such a genius was recorded in ancient books. However, due to his arrogance, he was ambushed and killed before he could become a Supreme Mage God.¡± Thinking of the records in the ancient books, Camet sighed. Lorne was puzzled to see Camet sigh. ¡°Is something wrong, Master Camet?¡± ¡°Nothing. I just want something.¡± ¡°Lorne, your talent is not bad and you are among the top in this world. Remember not to be arrogant.¡± After thinking for a while, Camet decided to tell a white lie. Let Lorne understand that he was neither the strongest genius nor the weakest. This would stimulate his fighting spirit and not make him depressed. Lorne nodded. ¡°I understand, Master Camet. There are stronger people above the strong. I will work hard.¡± Master Camet was indeed knowledgeable. It was important to know that when Rook found out about his talent, he told him that Lorne was better than Dean Allison. Back then, he was shocked. One had to know that Dean Allison was about to break through to the Supreme Mage God realm. He was once hailed as the most talented mage on the entire continent. And Rook was comparing Lorne to him. This was obviously impossible for Lorne. In his memory, Dean Allison was like a teacher he worshipped. He only did one spell and he was compared to a teacher. This was obviously wrong. Indeed, he should listen to his elders. Hearing Lorne¡¯s answer, Camet nodded in satisfaction. Lorne was indeed a good kid. There was no arrogance like other geniuses. Very modest. He would not be proud and complacent. He was a good student. ¡°Lorne, since you already have the Magic Shield.¡± ¡°I¡¯ll teach you something else next.¡± Master Camet said, pretending to be high and mighty. ¡°That¡¯s great. Thank you, Master.¡± Lorne laughed happily. He could finally learn new spells. This made him extremely excited, because the more he learned, the faster he would improve. Seeing Lorne¡¯s happy face, Camet slowly said, ¡°Magic Shields are only the most basic spells.¡± ¡°The teachers wanted you to practice your Spiritual Power.¡± ¡°What I¡¯m about to give you is a more complicated arrangement of structures and Runes.¡± ¡°If you master it successfully, you can summon a weapon transformed from Magic Power.¡± As he spoke, a golden sword appeared in his hand. The longsword was transparent as magic power flowed slowly through it. And at the lowest point of the sword, Master Camet didn¡¯t know what held the ground. He saw Lorne looking curiously at the rune in his hand. As expected of Lorne, who was extremely compatible with magic. He had found the source of the Magic Power so quickly. Camet thought. But what he didn¡¯t know was that Lorne was only curious about what he was holding. It was not to observe Magic Power. Camet picked up the sword and began to introduce it to him. He started from the Runes in his hands. Lorne looked confused as he listened to Master Camet. He had no idea what Master Camet was talking about. Naturally, Camet saw his confusion. ¡°Lorne, what I¡¯m teaching you now is the basic structure of Magic Arms and the basic usage of Runes. You have to remember them well before you can use them.¡± Lorne nodded. Even though he still couldn¡¯t understand what Master Camet was saying. But he still acted like he was listening and remembering. ¡°Congratulations on learning the Basic Structure Of Magic Arms.¡± ¡°Congratulations on learning the Basic Rune Arrangement.¡± ¡°The basic structure of Magic Arms has been specially taught by Camet. Understanding has deepened.¡± ¡°The Basic Structure Of Magic Arms has reached Level 1.¡± ¡°The Basic Rune Arrangement has deepened after listening to Camet¡¯s teachings.¡± ¡°Basic Rune Arrangement Level has reached Level 1.¡± He heard the system prompt. The confusion in Lorne¡¯s mind vanished.. Chapter 4 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations Lorne began to listen intently. Camet was indeed a teacher with years of teaching experience. After his guidance, Lorne¡¯s magical weapon¡¯s basic structure and rune arrangement had reached level two. What he said was the easiest for new apprentices to accept. The two magicians listened attentively.?Check His eyes watched Master Camet grow brighter. Camet looked into Lorne¡¯s pleading eyes. The more he talked, the faster Lorne¡¯s magic absorbed. Time slipped away as Camet explained. After telling Lorne how to construct magic weapons and how to arrange runes, Camet looked at Lorne with satisfaction. Because Lorne was obviously deep in thought. When he opened his eyes again, he looked at Camet with delight. ¡°How¡¯s it going?¡± Camet asked. He wanted to know how well Lorne was absorbing the basic magic. He really hoped that Lorne would raise doubts or mention something he didn¡¯t understand. And let him solve the mystery.?Check One must know that when it came to teaching geniuses, what one hoped for the most was for them to encounter problems. Just a little explanation and they would understand what you meant. This would make the teachers feel that they had taught them well. Not that the people they taught were geniuses. This would satisfy them greatly. Although he knew that Lorne was a genius, Camet still asked symbolically, ¡°How¡¯s it going, Lorne?¡± ¡°If you don¡¯t understand, I can explain it to you again.¡± ¡°You speak very well, Master Camet. I have already understood.¡± Lorne spoke. ¡°I¡¯m glad you said that.¡± ¡°Cultivate well when you return.¡± ¡°Don¡¯t be impatient and build a good foundation first.¡± ¡°You will definitely become a powerful Archmage in the future.¡± Master Camet reminded him and encouraged Lorne. ¡°All right. Thank you, Master Camet.¡± With that, Lorne headed to his dormitory. After listening to the lecture for such a long time, he felt a little sleepy. He really wanted to go back and have a good sleep. Looking at Lorne¡¯s back as he left, Camet smiled kindly with a hint of pride. Lorne, his own student, was neither arrogant nor impatient and he worked very hard. Furthermore, his talent was even greater than that of the Great Mage Allison. As he thought about this, he suddenly remembered that a few days ago, Romon had told him that there were some students who were especially talented. But no matter how good it was, it was not as good as Lorne. However, he felt that he should tell Dean Allison about this. A genius like Lorne could still become a professor. But if he waited until his foundation was solid, he would have nothing to teach him. Thinking of him walking toward his asleep friend, Romon ?Check He wanted to tell Romon about this. Romon was the one guarding the place where Dean Allison cultivated. And only he could contact the Great Mage Master. Therefore, he had to know about this. With that thought in mind, Camet headed toward the valley where Allison had secluded himself. At the same time, Lorne returned to his dorm. He laid comfortably on the bed again. At this moment, a prompt sounded in his mind. ¡°Magic Shield felt that he was falling behind and accelerated his comprehension.¡± ¡°The Magic Weapon infrastructure felt that the Magic Shield was catching up to it, so it worked even harder.¡± ¡°Arrangements of Basic Runes, feeling the pressure, messed up.¡±?Check ¡°Damn, this won¡¯t do!¡± Lorne gasped at the reminder in his head. That wouldn¡¯t do. He treated these spells as his own children. If anything happened, he would have to take responsibility. ¡°The Basic Rune Arrangement. You¡¯re the most hardworking magic. You¡¯re the best. Good luck. You¡¯ll definitely surpass them.¡± ¡°Ding! Basic Rune Arrangement feels your encouragement and working even harder.¡± The system prompted, and the stone in Lorne¡¯s heart dropped. Looking at the magicians who were training hard, Lorne smiled in relief. Then, he fell asleep on the bed. At the same time, Camet arrived at the Death Valley where Allison was in seclusion. At the entrance of the valley, Romon was bored. Death Valley was a desolate place. No one would come, not even magical beasts. And the main reason he was here was to prevent anyone from really breaking in. The reason why Dean Allison chose this place was because when he became a Supreme Mage God, if he went into seclusion in the city, he would lose control of the Magic Energy. It would quickly cause innocent casualties. It was precisely because of this that he chose to cultivate here. And Romon wasn¡¯t here to protect Dean Ellison. It was to prevent some reckless people from entering. If that happened, he would definitely be berated by the kind Dean Allison. Dean Allison didn¡¯t know when he would be able to advance successfully. The bored Romon also cultivated his magic and mental strength. But his features did watch over the surroundings. If someone entered by mistake, the Defense Array would remind him. Romon, who was cultivating, sensed a familiar aura. He opened his eyes. ¡°Why is that old fellow here? Did something happen in the academy?¡± But when he looked at it confidently, he saw that there was nothing but a beard. His face was full of joy and he was holding the exclusive magic wine of the Allison Institute. It seemed like there was nothing much to worry about. Then, he asked curiously, ¡°Camet, why are you here today?¡± ¡°I¡¯m here to see you, my old friend.¡± Hearing Camet¡¯s words, Romon stepped forward and hugged him. Then, he brought the wine over. ¡°Who would believe you if you said that? But I¡¯ll accept the good wine.¡± Romon smiled. They grew up together. Camet moved his fingers. He knew if he was going to grab his hair or dig his nose. They knew each other very well. He saw Romon take away his wine. Camet was not angry. He knew his childhood friend well. ¡°What is it?¡± Romon took a sip of wine and spoke. ¡°What are you saying? Can¡¯t I visit you if there¡¯s nothing else?¡± Camet smiled. ¡°Come on, I know what you¡¯re like.¡± Romon said truthfully. The two of them looked at each other. They understood each other¡¯s intentions. Then, Camet burst into laughter. ¡°It¡¯s still the feeling of being young with you.¡± ¡°Yeah, it¡¯s just a pity that there¡¯s still one person missing.¡± At this point, the originally quiet and happy atmosphere instantly froze. ¡°Tell me, why are you looking for me?¡± They were silent for a moment, then Romon spoke.. Chapter 5 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations ¡°Romon, I discovered a genius among the new students this year. I wish to report this to Archmage Allison.¡± Romon smiled disdainfully when he heard Camet. ¡°Genius? Which cohort doesn¡¯t have a genius? What¡¯s so special about him that you have to expend so much effort?¡± ¡°You don¡¯t understand. He¡¯s different from the other geniuses!¡± Camet said anxiously. ¡°What difference can there be? And how long has it been since school started?¡± Seeing that Romon did not take his words seriously, Camet had to get right to the point. ¡°That genius learned the Magic Shield in three days. His talent might be above Dean Allison¡¯s.¡± ¡°What did you say? Are you sure you¡¯re not joking, Camet?¡± Romon was in disbelief. What he didn¡¯t believe was that his talent was above Dean Allison¡¯s. In the past, there were also geniuses who were more talented than Dean Ailison. But he had never heard of that genius. It took him three days to master the Magic Shield. Camet wasn¡¯t surprised to see Romon like this. After all, he had also lost a lot of beard because of this. ¡°Of course. Did I come all the way here to joke with you?¡± Seeing that Camet didn¡¯t look like he was joking. Romon became serious as well. After some thought, Romon said, ¡°Have you observed his training state? Also, is it his first time learning magic?¡± Hearing Romon say this, Camet reacted. ¡°It¡¯s fine if you don¡¯t tell me. I don¡¯t think he¡¯s right either.¡± ¡°When I was teaching him, he didn¡¯t have that kind of arrogance about him at all like other geniuses.¡± The two of them looked at each other and decided that they still needed to consider the matter of Lorne. They were afraid that if Lorne was a reincarnator, his understanding of magic would naturally be extremely fast. But they didn¡¯t know what type of reincarnator he was. If the demons were the enemies of the sorcerers. When the time came, they would do their best to nurture him. In the end, they would have nurtured a powerful enemy for humanity. Then wouldn¡¯t they become the sinners of this world¡¯s destruction? ¡°You¡¯re right. Use my magic mirror to observe his current state.¡± ¡°Okay.¡± After the two made an agreement, Romon took out the magic mirror. He looked at Camet. Camet looked at Romon. ¡°Quick, use the magic mirror!¡± Camet urged. Romon stared at Camet, speechless. ¡°You haven¡¯t told me the genius¡¯s name or where he lives. How do I use magic?¡± Hearing Romon say this, Camet touched his beard awkwardly. ¡°Well, it looks like I am really getting old. His name is Lorne, and he¡¯s in his first year dorm at school now.¡± After Camet finished speaking, Romon began to cast a spell. He was chanting the incantation for activating the Magic Mirror. Soon, images of Lorne¡¯s dormitory appeared on the magic mirror. In the image, Lorne was sleeping soundly on the bed. He did not look like he was diligently practicing magic. ¡°Eh, this is the genius you mentioned? Are you sure?¡± Romon pointed at Lorne and spoke. ¡°Um, I guess so.¡± Camet looked at Lorne sleeping soundly in the mirror and said uncertainly. ¡°Do you think he foresaw it? Is that why he pretended to be lazy?¡± Romon thought for a while and spoke to Camet. ¡°Then, shall we observe for a while longer?¡± Camet asked Romon. Romon nodded, and when he agreed, they both stared at Lorne in the mirror. Time slowly passed. Lorne was also resting in bed. When he woke up again, the Rune Arrangement and the Magic Weapon Structure had reached Level 2.5. His Magic Shield had also reached Level 2. With the help of the Rune Arrangement, the cultivation speed of the Magic Shield was even faster than before. Lorne was very happy. He muttered to himself about the Rune Arrangement and the weapon structure. He wanted to create a weapon. Soon, a Magic Sword appeared in Lorne¡¯s hand. Although it was far from Camet¡¯s discovery. However, he learned it in the morning and after sleeping in the afternoon, he could call it out. It was unbelievable. Was there really such a genius in this world? Lorne, who had just summoned his Magic Sword, was playing with it. It was exactly the curious look of a new mage when he summoned his Magic Sword. He gently waved his Magic Sword. A yellow light wave emitted from the Magic Sword. Lorne¡¯s beautiful and comfortable bed instantly split in half. He watched as his comfortable bed split into two. Lorne looked like he wanted to cry. It was a comfortable bed and he had only slept on it once. Now, it had become a waste. This instantly suppressed his happy mood. Romon and Camet saw Lorne like this through his Magic Mirror. His suspicions about him were greatly reduced. ¡°It seems he isn¡¯t a reincarnator.¡± Camet spoke up. ¡°Yeah, I guess so.¡± Romon wasn¡¯t very sure. Seeing his conflicted look, Camet couldn¡¯t help but say, ¡°Should I contact the Dean Allison directly and let him make the decision?¡± Romon shook his head helplessly. ¡°No, I can¡¯t contact the Dean now. He might be advancing at a critical moment now. It¡¯s best that we don¡¯t go in and disturb him.¡± Hearing Romon say this, Camet nodded. ¡°Why don¡¯t you teach Lorne first and observe his movements during this period of time? We can talk about the rest after Master Allison has successfully advanced.¡± ¡°Sure. I¡¯m fine with it. I¡¯m not very busy anyway. And Lorne was my student to begin with.¡± After some discussion, they could only let Camet teach Lorne. The rest would have to wait until Master Allison advanced. At this moment, Lorne was walking towards the cafeteria gloomily. He had been cultivating for such a long time. He went out for a meal to reward himself. Lorne thought happily. He did not forget to cheer the magicians on when he left. ¡°You can do it! For the sake of becoming the strongest mage, you can cultivate!¡± ¡°Ding! Feeling your inner feelings, the training of the Magic Shield has become even harder.¡± ¡°Ding! The Basic Rune Arrangement wants to go out and adventure with you. It has become even more diligent in training.¡± [Beep! Magica Weapons and weapons structure is being surpassed, increasing cultivation speed.] Hearing the prompt in his mind, Lorne smiled happily. It seemed the children needed his encouragement to thrive. These magics were his children now, until they grew up. Then, he could take them and dominate Holzyard! Chapter 6 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations After dinner, Lorne decided to visit the classroom. Ever since he learned Magic Shield, he had not been to the classroom for a day. Although no one was rushing him, he still decided to listen to class. Because when he¡¯d gone to find Mage Camet earlier, he¡¯d found him not in his office. Lorne came to the classroom. As it was evening self-study, many people were meditating. They were waiting for their teacher to arrive so that they could ask some questions about magic. Lorne¡¯s arrival obviously caught their attention. After all, it had been a long time since he¡¯d been in class. A man who had been meditating opened his eyes. He walked over to Lorne and said softly, ¡°Lorne, come out with me.¡± Lorne was very puzzled but he still followed the man out. In his impression, the man¡¯s name was Haru. He was already very popular in class. He did not know why he was looking for him. ¡°Lorne, you haven¡¯t been in class in days. Maybe you don¡¯t know it yet. I¡¯m the class monitor now.¡± Seeing the puzzled look on Lorne¡¯s face, Haru explained. Then his expression turned serious as he asked, ¡°Why haven¡¯t you been in the classroom for the past few days? Teacher asked me to ask you if you still want to learn magic?¡± Haru cupped his fists and looked at the person in front of him. Lorne felt that he hated people who came to the Magic Academy to slack off. Magic was difficult to learn to begin with and with some slackers, it would tarnish the reputation of mages. In the face of Haru¡¯s questioning, Lorne shook his head. ¡°I¡¯ve been learning magic from Master Camet, so I didn¡¯t come today.¡± Haru laughed at Lorne¡¯s words. ¡°Don¡¯t be ridiculous. You¡¯re learning magic from Master Camet?¡± ¡°Even if you¡¯re lying, can¡¯t you find a more normal reason than to learn from Master Camet? Do you think you¡¯re good enough?¡± Lorne did not take Haru¡¯s mockery seriously. ¡°Believe it or not, is there a need for me to explain it to you?¡± Hearing Lorne¡¯s answer, Haru was furious. He pushed Lorne away with his hand. And this scene happened to be seen by Master Camet who had just arrived. Lorne did not use magic to defend himself because he knew that if he used Magic Shields, he would be punished by the academy. Camet, who had come to find Lorne, naturally saw everything that had happened. When he saw Lorne injuring himself in order not to break the rules, His opinion of Lorne went up another notch. This child was really not bad. He knew how to use rules to restrict his strength. If a genius knew that he was very strong. They wouldn¡¯t swallow their anger like that. They would usually fight back because they felt that they were geniuses and the others were ordinary people. However, the Allison Institute clearly didn¡¯t like such people. For such a person, Camet would teach him a lesson over and over again. Finally, he discovered a way to treat this. It was Camet who personally fought with this group of geniuses. He wanted them to know what it felt like for the strong to bully the weak. He also wanted them to understand that the strong should protect the weak and not bully the weak. If you do that then you are also a weakling. You are using someone weaker than you to display your strength. ¡°Stop!¡± In the end, Camet still attacked. He could not bear to see such a sensible genius hurt by others and used his classroom privileges to protect the injured Lorne. When he heard this voice, Haru, who was still confused, saw a person standing in front of him. He reacted instantly. ¡°Master, I¡ª¡± he explained to Master Camet. ¡°There¡¯s no need to explain. I saw everything that happened just now.¡± Before Haru could continue, Camet cut him off. ¡°That¡¯s not true, Master Camet. Lorne used your reputation to fool the teacher. I was in such a hurry that I¡ª¡± Camet ignored Haru¡¯s words. He helped Lorne to his feet. ¡°Lorne, are you all right?¡± He said with concern. ¡°I¡¯m fine, Master Camet.¡± Lorne rose from the floor. Just now, when he fell to the ground, he felt something soft under his butt and slowly went down. It seemed that Master Camet had made his move. Master Kamit looked at Haru beside him and scolded, ¡°In the Magic Academy, unless it¡¯s to protect yourself, you can¡¯t use force or magic. Don¡¯t you know that?¡± ¡°I know, but¡ª¡± ¡°If you knew, why did you still do it? Also, what Lorne said just now was right. He¡¯s been learning from me for the past few days. Go tell your teacher about this. He¡¯s learning from me now.¡± Because Haru had made a mistake, he did not dare to say much. After all, he was the one at fault first. And how could Lorne be so lucky to have caught the eye of Master Camet? Haru¡¯s eyes were filled with jealousy but Lorne had ignored him until now. Now that Master Camet had accepted him as his disciple, there was no need for him to give this class monitor any face. Then, Camet and Lorne stopped paying attention to Haru, and Haru, who was standing beside them, did not know what to say. He could only quietly listen to their conversation. ¡°Lorne, how¡¯s your practice on the structure of the weapon and the basic usage of Runes that I gave you?¡± When he heard Camet¡¯s words, Haru was dumbfounded. What weapons structure? And the use of Runes? Was this the first year of their freshman year? If not, he would have to ask his teacher. Haru thought and Lorne¡¯s answer surprised him. ¡°Master Camet, I have already mastered the basic usage of the Magic Weapon Structure and Runes that you taught me.¡± After hearing what Lorne said, Camet¡¯s calm expression changed. ¡°What did you say?¡± Obviously, he was still not used to Lorne¡¯s cultivation speed, so he asked the same question as before. Was Master Camet really deaf? It seemed that learning magic did not only prevent hair loss but also the ears and back. Lorne sighed in his heart and repeated what he had just said. ¡°Master Camet, I say, I have already mastered the basic usage of the Magic Weapon Structure and Runes that you taught me!¡± This time, he strengthened his voice so that both of them could hear him clearly. Haru was dumbfounded. ¡®What¡¯s going on?¡¯ Master Camet asked him how his connection was. And Lorne¡¯s answer was that he had already grasped it? This was related to the form teacher asking him how his Magic Shield was. He could only say that he was not proficient enough but he could still summon it if he was slower. However, if he could master it then he would be able to use magic freely. It would be very difficult to do without several years of energy. ¡°Of course,¡± said Camet deliberately. It was an exaggeration to act like that. Because he¡¯d seen in the magic mirror that Lorne had learned. In order not to let him discover it, he could only pretend to be shocked. It was clearly a century-old conundrum for the good old Camet.. Chapter 7 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations Seeing that it was not just Camet, Haru was also shocked. His mouth was huge and Lorne thought it would be okay to throw an apple into it. ¡°Cough! Cough!¡± He pretended to cough a few times, allowing Camet and Haru to recover from their shock. Camet recovered quickly. He touched his beard awkwardly. However, this time, he was embarrassed not because he was in a daze but because he touched his beard in embarrassment. After all, this was one of the few lies he¡¯d been able to tell without being discovered by Lorne. Haru recovered from his shock and looked at Lorne as if he was blaming him. ¡°Come, let¡¯s find a place and see how your cultivation is.¡± As he spoke, he grabbed Lorne¡¯s hand and teleported away. Meanwhile, Haru was still staring into the distance with his eyes wide open. He kept muttering to himself. How sick must he be to be able to master magic in one day? Was he human? At this moment, the form teacher walked over and looked at Haru, who was standing at the entrance of the class. She scolded, ¡°Haru, what¡¯s wrong with you? It¡¯s evening self-study time. Why are you standing outside instead of staying in class?¡± Faced with his teacher¡¯s question, Haru came back to his senses and explained, ¡°Teacher, Lorne just came. I asked him why he hasn¡¯t come in the past few days.¡± ¡°Lorne? Where is he now?¡± The form teacher looked around in confusion but did not see Lorne. ¡°Master Camet just came and took him away.¡± ¡°Nonsense! How can you still joke around at a time like this?¡± ¡°But I meant¡ª¡± ¡°Alright, I won¡¯t blame you anymore. Go and prepare well. The Beginner Magic Conference will be held in a few days.¡± ¡°Fine.¡± Seeing that the form teacher did not believe him, Haru had no choice. After all, who was he going to tell this to? No one would understand that Lorne was a monster. Now, he could only bury this matter in his heart. After all, no one would believe him. Besides, Lorne had already been accepted as a disciple by Master Camet. Looking at Haru¡¯s secretive manner, the form teacher was puzzled. What was wrong with Haru today? He had just become the class monitor and he had become so abnormal? At this moment, Camet brought Lorne to a mysterious arena. ¡°Lorne, this is the school¡¯s training ground. You can do more than compete with each other here. You can also contact magic.¡± Camet brought Lorne here and introduced the facilities and tools of the place. Arriving at the place where magic damage was measured, Lorne summoned his Magic Weapon. ¡°Magic sword.¡± He chanted the Magic Sword in his heart. An orange Magic Sword appeared in his hand, emitting a strange Magic Power. Lorne didn¡¯t hesitate and threw the Magic Sword. The Magic Sword exploded on the damage barrier. With a loud bang, the loud explosion made Lorne¡¯s ears hurt. However, he calmed down very quickly. Level prediction: Beginner Mage. Damage: 3,000. Camet saw the material on the screen and nodded in satisfaction. He shook his head again. The damage done by Lorne¡¯s move was high but creating Magic Swords was a waste of mana. Just as he was about to educate Lorne, he summoned a handful of magic to snatch it. It was not big but it was very long. And the magic energy floating around was even thicker than the Magic Sword. Lorne threw the Magic Sword with all his might and this time there was a louder explosion than before. Level Prediction: Intermediate Mage. Damage: 3,000. And Lorne¡¯s attack had attracted the guards outside the door which showed how powerful it was. Because the arena was usually closed, the guards were afraid that some people would stay in the arena all night to cultivate. This was not allowed in the Magic Academy because it was a place that emphasized on continuous training. If he was persistent, it would affect his magic path. It was very likely that he would fall into the Black Mage for power. ¡°Who¡¯s there?¡± the guard said to Camet and Lorne. ¡°It¡¯s me, Camet.¡± When the two guards heard that it was Camet, they quickly approached to confirm. ¡°It¡¯s really Master Camet!¡± one of the guards exclaimed. Meanwhile, the other guard took out his detector to make sure it was Master Camet. He nodded to his companion. ¡°You¡¯re too cautious, Carl. This isn¡¯t the first time we¡¯ve seen Master Camet.¡± ¡°The academy needs our protection,¡± Carl said and left. ¡°Please don¡¯t take offense, Master Camet. That¡¯s just the way Carl is,¡± another guard said with a smile. ¡°It¡¯s alright. I think you should learn from your companions. It¡¯s better to be cautious.¡± Camet said with a smile. The guard smiled at his kind smile. ¡°Got it, Master Camet. I¡¯ll definitely change it.¡± Then he left with Carl, not forgetting to look at Lorne. As if to memorize his appearance, Lorne looked at Camet curiously. ¡°Teacher, do you know the guard from before?¡± Faced with Lorne¡¯s question, Camet only smiled and recalled. ¡°He used to be a very naughty student. I guess he¡¯s considered an acquaintance of mine.¡± Lorne nodded and understood. After all, Camet had taught too many people and many students had received his guidance. ¡°Alright, let¡¯s not talk about him. You¡¯re improving very quickly. Come to my office tomorrow and I¡¯ll teach you some offensive spells. Use your magical weapon to attack. Although it¡¯s very powerful, it consumes a lot of mana.¡± Upon hearing Camet¡¯s words, Lorne cursed inwardly. ¡°I want you to teach me now! I don¡¯t need to consume mana and mental strength to cast magic!¡± But those words couldn¡¯t be spoken openly. If anyone else found out, Lorne feared he¡¯d be dragged out to study. In that case, he had no choice but to agree. ¡°Very well, Master Camet but tomorrow seems to be the Freshmen Assembly. Shall I find you after the Assembly or?¡± Faced with Lorne¡¯s question, Camet was stunned. Lorne was too different from other geniuses. When other geniuses heard that they were going to impart offensive magic, the first thing they would usually do was look forward to it. They would wait at their own door early the next morning. As for Lorne, he first asked if he was going to participate in the Freshmen Competition. This made a good impression on Camet. What a good child. He doesn¡¯t have the arrogance of other geniuses at all. And all of this is thanks to his good teacher. Looking at Camet¡¯s satisfied smile, Lorne asked in confusion, ¡°Teacher?¡± ¡°Ah, you can see for yourself tomorrow. If you want to participate, go ahead. I¡¯ll wait for you in the office.¡± With that, Master Camet teleported away. He was truly happy today. He decided to go back and have a good drink or two. This was his hidden hobby. Not many people knew about it because the academy¡¯s impression of him was that he was an old philanthropist. Lorne was stunned when he saw Camet disappear from his sight. How was he supposed to go back? The arena was empty. Lorne sighed and walked out of the door.. Chapter 8 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations How good would it be if he had teleportation skills too? Lorne thought to himself. It was the voice in his head speaking again. ¡°Ding! Watching Camet use Teleportation Magic, you have learned Teleportation Magic.¡± ¡°Teleportation Magic sensed your need and accelerated its comprehension.¡± Upon hearing the System¡¯s voice, Lorne¡¯s originally speechless mood instantly brightened. He did not expect this at all. He looked at the empty arena. Lorne began to release the magic connection. It was like having a weapon in hand. How you used it depended on your own ability. Lorne was clearly still a novice in this aspect. Just like that, Lorne contacted his Magic Shield and Magic Weapons in the arena. His own magic power seemed endless and his understanding of had weapons reached a new level. Finally, when Lorne finally released his magic and was tired, he stopped. Because he had already mastered the Teleportation Skill. The moment he stopped, a voice sounded in his mind. ¡°Ding! Under your release, your Magic Shield feels sad about your lack of strength and cultivates even harder.¡± ¡°Ding! Your Magical Weapon Architecture feels that its understanding of itself is not mature enough. It¡¯s working hard to understand it.¡± [Beep! Basic rune arrangement feels that the amount of magic power that it has released is not enough. It is developing in a new direction.] ¡°Ding! You have mastered the teleportation skill.¡± ¡°I can feel that my brothers are working hard with the Teleportation Skill. He is not willing to lag behind and started to cultivate diligently.¡± Hearing the voices in his head, Lorne suddenly felt very blessed. This feeling of rapidly becoming stronger made him feel light-headed. However, he knew that the more arrogant a person was, the faster they would die. Therefore, he decided to hide his strength in the future. He¡¯d realized the problem the first time he went to see Camet. Although it wasn¡¯t the time to think about that, it was time to go back. Looking at the sorry state of the arena, Lorne shook his head in embarrassment. Someone should come and clean it tomorrow, Lorne thought as he used the teleportation skill to return to his room. When he arrived at the room, he saw that the bed that he had cut open was exactly the same as before. Lorne was dumbfounded. Did the magic academy¡¯s bed have the ability to repair itself? Lorne thought to himself as he lay on the bed and entered his dream. He had to learn a new offensive spell tomorrow although he was looking forward to it. However, he had released so much magic today and his strength was enough to protect himself in this world. He felt more at ease sleeping now. When she woke up, it was already morning. The sun was shining brightly outside. Lorne glanced at the clock. It was time for the Freshmen Assembly Ceremony. He did not know if it was too late for him to go out now, to go to the canteen to eat. Lorne headed straight for Master Camet¡¯s office. As he passed by the place where the Freshmen Assembly was being held, he saw Master Camet standing on the podium beside him. Lorne headed straight for Camet. If he went to Camet¡¯s office now, he might get caught by another teacher. After all, not many people knew that he was Master Camet¡¯s disciple. Camet saw Lorne coming and was happy as he waved. ¡°Here, Lorne.¡± Lorne walked over as he watched Camet wave to him. ¡°What is it, Master Camet? Aren¡¯t we learning new magic today?¡± ¡°What?¡± Lorne asked, puzzled. ¡®And the Underground saw Lorne arrive so late.¡¯?Check And he was so rude as to ask Master Camet directly. For a moment, all the students in the assembly had a problem with Lorne. Because Master Camet often helped them solve difficult problems, he was the teacher the students loved and respected the most. Now that this kid had come to Master Camet¡¯s side at this time, his part-time job was to not treat Master Camet as a teacher. One of the most talented students stood up and said to Master Camet, ¡°Master Camet, this person is so lazy. I think he should be punished for the training time of the Assembly Committee!¡± The student who stood up was called Brudry. His talent was already considered very strong among the students. So he was pissed at Lorne for asking a direct question from Master Camet. He hadn¡¯t even asked. Moreover, the morale-boosting rally was about to begin and he was the one who had the most hope of becoming Master Camet¡¯s disciple. At this moment, he was naturally very unhappy and Camet looked at the person in front of him with a dumbfounded expression. Who is this person? Why is he teaching me how to do things? Master Camet had helped the students solve too many problems, so that the students knew him and he did not know the group. They could understand that too but Master Camet lacked the ability to remember Lorne¡¯s name. This made them feel a little unbalanced. Why did this student receive preferential treatment? Was he very talented? But why had they never heard of him in the academy? Everyone looked at Lorne and Camet in confusion. Camet spoke slowly. ¡°Since it¡¯s about time, let the morale-boosting rally begin.¡± Camet spoke to the other teachers. The others naturally had to give Camet credit. After all, without the dean around, he was the strongest administrator in the academy. ¡°Lorne, come sit beside me. Also, sit down. You¡¯ll know in a while.¡± ¡°You¡¯re exactly what you are,¡± said Carmett. ¡°He doesn¡¯t remember his name. He¡¯ll have to use that instead.¡±?Check This action thoroughly angered Brudry but he knew that now was not the time to prove himself. He¡¯d make sure Lorne made a fool of himself later. If it hadn¡¯t been for him, he wouldn¡¯t be so embarrassed now. The hosts began to read their scripts quietly. To put it bluntly, the morale-boosting rally was a recruitment event for the teachers. Some were form teachers while others were professors. Students of different levels were also accepted differently. Of course, in the end, it all depended on the student¡¯s choice. But now, the most ideal and strongest mage in the Academy of Allison was naturally Camet. The dean was not at the academy and Romon followed him out. There was also another genius who grew up with Camet who had fallen into becoming a Dark Mage. Right now, the most powerful person in the academy was Camet. It was a quick process and soon it was time for Camet to speak. He led Lorne to the stage. ¡°Weren¡¯t you all curious just now? Who is he? Why can you ask him questions here?¡± Everyone was excited to know who this person was. Why could he do this but they couldn¡¯t? Could it be a hidden genius of the academy? Everyone was deep in thought, trying to guess Lorne¡¯s true identity. There were also those who guessed that he was the dean¡¯s grandson who were criticized. ¡°Don¡¯t you know that the director has always been single? He doesn¡¯t even have a wife, how could he have grandchildren?¡± ¡°I really don¡¯t know about that. I don¡¯t know what kind of luck Lorne has..¡± Chapter 9 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations While the audience was discussing, Master Camet led Lorne up to the stage. Because of his status, he would usually choose who to take in as his disciple first. ¡°Hello, students. I know everyone is curious about who this person beside me is. He¡¯s my new disciple. His name is Lorne.¡± Camet introduced solemnly. The students below the stage exploded. They were still discussing. Which genius had become Master Camet¡¯s apprentice? No one had expected it. They were actually intercepted by a dark horse. Their understanding of Lorne was that he was just an ordinary classmate. Because there was no third person who knew about Lorne¡¯s talent other than Camet and Romon. At that moment, Bru stood up and pointed at Lorne. ¡°Master Camet, how can such a loose person become your disciple while we who work so hard can only be your student?¡± Faced with Bru¡¯s questioning, Camet wanted to expose Lorne¡¯s talent. However, if such a strong talent was exposed, it would spread out and Lorne might be targeted by the Dark Sorcerers. This would be detrimental to Lorne¡¯s future development. If he only used his talent to suppress others, the other geniuses would not be convinced because the geniuses of the Magic Academy more or less had their own pride. At this moment, Bru spoke again. ¡°Master Camet, I request to duel with Lorne. If I defeat him, I hope you can choose your disciple carefully.¡± It was a good thing that Bru had said. He hadn¡¯t said anything about letting Camet take him in. Instead, he wanted him to choose again. If he said he would defeat Lorne and accept him as his disciple. And if Lorne was really appreciated by Master Camet because he got in through the back door. He had defeated Lorne and the final benefits were all his. However, it was different when it was time for him to choose again. This way, he would not only gain favorability from his classmates. It would show his magnanimity and the other students would naturally support him. As he imagined, his classmates began to support him. ¡°Duel!¡± ¡°Duel!¡± As the crowd roared, Camet raised his hand to silence them. Then, he stroked his sparse beard and said with a smile, ¡°Since everyone wants to watch the duel so much, I¡¯ll especially allow Lorne and Bru to fight!¡± Seeing that Camet had allowed it, the people below began to cheer and the happiest of them all was Bru. After all, if he won, he would be able to get into Master Camet¡¯s sight. If Master Camet saw his performance, he might take him in. He could already see himself becoming a great sorcerer after defeating Lorne and becoming a great sorcerer under the guidance of Master Camet. Seeing his happy expression, Lorne was puzzled. Could it be that this person in front of him was also a very strong genius? Otherwise, why would Master Camet agree? It seems that I will have to use my full strength when I come up later. Lorne thought to himself as Master Camet, who had finished his speech, came up beside him. Quietly, he said to him, ¡°Lorne, remember to guard against water in a while. Bru is no match for you. Be careful not to kill him.¡± Upon hearing Master Camet¡¯s instructions, Lorne was stunned. Didn¡¯t you agree because he was very strong? Now it was Lorne¡¯s turn to wonder but then he realized that maybe Master Camet didn¡¯t want to expose his talent either. After all, this world wasn¡¯t really safe. It seemed like he would still have to act like one. If he were to crush him, he might attract the attention of the Dark Forces. They loved hunting talented newbie mages. ¡°Now that Master Camet has agreed, let¡¯s get Bru on stage. It¡¯s time to watch their match.¡± With that, the host let Bru take the stage and Lorne walked over. ¡°Lorne, you¡¯d better be careful. I can already summon a Magic Shield.¡± Lorne didn¡¯t say anything, just nodded expressionlessly. It was just a Magic Shield, he was already familiar with it, only if he really knew this unique skill. Lorne said in a friendly tone, ¡°Then go all out.¡± Lorne¡¯s friendly reminder sounded like contempt to Bru. ¡°Damn it, this brat actually dared to look down on me. Today, I will definitely make you suffer.¡± Bru thought to himself as he started chanting the Magic Shield incantation. On the other side, Lorne was waiting. Everyone saw that he was not prepared to recite any spells. They were all laughing at him. ¡°I¡¯m dying of laughter. Lorne is too weak. He didn¡¯t even learn magic?¡± ¡°Is he using the back door? He can¡¯t even chant magic. Looks like Bru will win.¡± After three minutes, Bru finally released his Magic Shield. Bru¡¯s Magic Shield did not look sturdy and the magic energy was not obvious. But to newbies, this was already considered a genius level. Seeing that he had summoned a Magic Shield, everyone was shocked. Though he was mentally prepared, he didn¡¯t expect Bru¡¯s Magic Shield to reach 0.5. Bru ordered his Magic Shield to attack Lorne while Lorne summoned his Magic Shield. When Lorne¡¯s Magic Shield was summoned, everyone was dumbfounded. What was going on? Lorne¡¯s Magic Shield was more solid than Bru¡¯s. His Magic Shield was like the sun, while Bru¡¯s Magic Shield was like a small candle. It could even be described as a firefly. Before Bru¡¯s Magic Shield hit Lorne¡¯s Magic Shield, it was shattered. In contrast, Lorne¡¯s Magic Shield charged towards Bru. Bru looked at the Magic Shield flying towards him. Frightened, he collapsed to the ground. Just as the Magic Shield was about to hit Bru and Camet was about to attack. Lorne controlled his Magic Shield and made it disappear which shocked the audience. Was this Master Camet¡¯s disciple? He was actually so strong. He had only been in school for a week. To be able to control a Magic Shield to such an extent was simply unimaginable to them. Camet was pleased to see this. Lorne was still the same Lorne. A genius who wouldn¡¯t be proud and complacent because of his talent. Which teacher wouldn¡¯t like such a disciple? Bru opened his eyes and the Magic Shield that was about to hit disappeared. Instead, it was Lorne¡¯s winning smile but what Bru didn¡¯t know was that Lorne wasn¡¯t smiling because he¡¯d defeated him but because of the prompt in his head.. Chapter 10 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations ¡°Ding! Magic Shield¡¯s mood has improved after defeating the enemy. Cultivation speed has doubled.¡± Upon hearing this, Lorne was stunned. There was such a benefit to winning a battle? At that moment, the venue was very quiet. There was no applause as Lorne imagined. The students covered their mouths and laughed. They looked at Bru¡¯s pants. Bru felt that he was about to die. He was too nervous and peed while he was relaxing. Everyone pointed at him and laughed. Lorne noticed his loss of composure. ¡°Lorne, just you wait. I¡¯ll remember this.¡± With that, he fled the competition grounds. Bru had never suffered such humiliation. In his heart, he already saw Lorne as an enemy he had to defeat. And Master Camet saw Lorne¡¯s unexpected performance. This made him even more certain of the path Lorne was about to take. Lorne was working too hard. He did not know if it was because of his cultivation of magic but his mastery of Magic Power had already reached this stage. It was as if Magic Power was his slave and he could use it whenever he wanted. If he didn¡¯t want to use it, he could just put it aside and use it later on forever. This was a talent that many mages envied. Of course, this was not the treasure vault. He was just envious of Lorne¡¯s talent. They were even born in this peaceful era. There were no wars or troubles. The next step was offensive magic. He wondered what kind of surprise Lorne would give him after training. Seeing Bru run away, everyone began to applaud Lorne. Now no one was unconvinced that Lorne had been accepted as a disciple by Camet. It had to be known that some of the seniors¡¯ Magic Shields had not reached Lorne¡¯s level but Lorne had grasped it in a week. More importantly, he did not mock or berate anyone after defeating his opponent. Some of the people below the stage had a good change of opinion of Lorne. Due to their understanding of geniuses, there was no genius who wouldn¡¯t rebuke after stepping on someone but Lorne was different. He was just a little happy. However, for the sake of harming others, it was instead that genius called Brulyde who had said those words after failing. In the end, he could only flee in a sorry state, hence the crowd erupted into applause. Seeing that the situation was heated, the host ran to Lorne and raised his hand. ¡°I announce that the winner of this duel is Lorne!¡± Following the host¡¯s passionate speech, the crowd erupted again. However, Lorne did not forget his purpose for coming here. However, seeing how passionate the situation was, he did not want to disturb everyone¡¯s happy mood by suggesting he had to leave. It was indeed not a good idea. Lorne was prepared to wait until everyone below the stage calmed down before he went to look for Master Camet. Seeing that the attention on the stage was not on him, Lorne looked at the host. He was not very good at handling such situations, so of course, he had to hand it over to a professional. The host seemed to notice Lorne¡¯s distress as well and released his hand. He whispered into his ear, ¡°Leave the rest to me.¡± Upon hearing his words, Lorne turned around to look for Master Camet. Seeing Lorne leave, some people recovered from their excitement. Seeing that the scene was much quieter than before, the host used his magic wand and said to everyone, ¡°Everyone, quiet down.¡± The host thought that it was the effect of the Demonic Noise Rod and his voice was soon heard by every student. This made them instantly quiet down. They looked curiously at the host, wanting to hear what he wanted to say. ¡°I know everyone is very excited but today is the morale-boosting rally. Although our dear Lorne is very strong, he has already found a teacher that he likes so you guys don¡¯t have to choose anymore.¡± ¡°So, don¡¯t make a fuss and let the morale-boosting rally continue.¡± After the host finished speaking, waves of urging erupted from below. Everyone wanted to know if they had been accepted as disciples. Seeing that the situation had stabilized, Camet left the meeting with Lorne. And everyone knew that each year, Master Camet would only accept one genius, sometimes not even one. Therefore, they were not surprised at all when they saw Master Camet leave with Lorne. A teacher sighed as he watched the two leave. ¡°You guys are getting comfortable and this Bru is getting real. I was going to take him in as my apprentice but now it¡¯s done. Hey.¡± Until the end of the oath ceremony, Bru was not accepted as a disciple. The teachers who thought highly of him had given up on him. They could only choose one that was similar to Bru. However, some were afraid that they could not teach a genius like Bru. Camet led Lorne to his office and nodded in satisfaction. ¡°Lorne, you handled today¡¯s duel very well. You have the demeanor of an expert.¡± Lorne smiled sheepishly at Camet¡¯s compliment. The strong would protect the weak, not bully the weak. This was what Master Camet had taught him. Naturally, he would not let down Master Camet¡¯s expectations and was embarrassed to see Lorne. Camet looked at him kindly and asked, ¡°Lorne, what element attack magic are you going to learn?¡± ¡°Teacher, I don¡¯t know. I¡¯ll listen to you.¡± ¡°No,¡± Lorne said modestly and Camet knew what Lorne meant. ¡°If you have any questions, just ask. I want to see what magic you¡¯re going to learn.¡± Lorne shook his head. ¡°Teacher, I¡¯ve decided to listen to you. After all, you¡¯re my teacher. The opinions you give must be better than what I choose.¡± There was a reason why Lorne did not make a decision. After all, if he needed help to learn magic while playing games, he could do it himself. He went to look at the guide. If he tried to figure it out by himself, he would easily get the wrong path. This was his experience from the previous world. Seeing Lorne being so humble, Camet smiled in relief. ¡°Alright, since you¡¯ve said so, I¡¯ll pick one for you. It¡¯s very suitable for your current magic.¡± ¡°Alright, thank you, Teacher!¡± Seeing that Camet agreed with Lorne, he smiled happily. Indeed, he had made the right choice. This way, he would be able to avoid many detours in the future. He wondered what kind of offensive magic Master Camet would return to him. After all, the requirements for each spell were different. It was most convenient for him to use any spell during the beginner stage. This was something that Lorne could not guess. Fire-type attacks were powerful but wide-range attacks could easily injure rookies by accident. It was hard to say anything else about the other majors. He couldn¡¯t think of anything in his head. Lorne could only look at Camet expectantly.. Chapter 11 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations Sensing Lorne¡¯s expectant gaze, Camet stroked his beard and said, ¡°The spell I¡¯m going to give you is wind magic, Wind Blade!¡± Lorne looked at Camet in confusion. He did not know why wind blades were the most suitable magic for beginners. Seeing Lorne¡¯s puzzled look, Camet seemed to know what he was thinking. ¡°Lorne, I know what you want to ask. Firstly, a skill like Wind Blade has a small attack range.¡± ¡°Also, the power of the wind blades in the early stages is not very strong but after training, it will be more convenient for you to master the wind attribute Magic Power and train the more powerful storm.¡± Hearing Camet¡¯s words, Lorne understood what he meant. Cultivating wind blades was the same as cultivating a Magic Shield. Magic Shields were meant to protect you and allow you to familiarize yourself with the usage of mental power. Cultivating a Magic Shield was to better familiarize oneself with Magic Power so that one could cultivate stronger magic in the future. Because of the basics, if you practiced magic of the same attribute, you wouldn¡¯t feel the pressure. Although Lorne did not need to take his time to study the attributes, Camet only taught him from the perspective of a teacher. He could only accept that if he had learned powerful magic from the start, Lorne was afraid that he would not be able to master it. Just like Magic Weapons, when he first obtained the Magic Sword, he knew nothing about its power. Because of his mistake, his bed was cut in half. It was different now. He knew about the arena and after he learned the Wind Blade, it would be different. When the time came, he could directly go to the arena to contact his magic. Otherwise, it would be bad if he accidentally injured others. ¡°Teacher, I understand. I will study hard!¡± Lorne nodded, seeing Master Camet, ready to hear his next speech. ¡°It¡¯s good that you understand. Next, I¡¯ll demonstrate how to release and release the wind blades.¡± Camet said, chanting and began to attack Lorne. Just as the wind blade was about to hit Lorne¡¯s head, it disappeared with a whoosh. Lorne felt a breeze pass by him. Did Camet use wind blade to this extent? It would take Lorne at least a year to reach the same level as Camet. Of course, this was what Camet was thinking and Lorne felt that if his magic was trained to level five or six¡ If he trained and used it frequently, he would be able to master this singing technique very quickly. He had told the Magic Shield that the Magic Shield would dissipate in time today. It was also because of them that Lorne could better control his Magic Power. ¡°How do you feel?¡± After demonstrating the release and dissipation of the wind blades, Camet asked. Lorne nodded. ¡°I wish I could touch a little but I haven¡¯t learned it yet.¡± Hearing Lorne¡¯s answer, Camet was stunned. ¡®I¡¯m here to let you familiarize yourself with magic.¡¯ ¡®Your goal is to learn it directly? Young man, your way of thinking is very dangerous!¡¯ Camet boasted that he was also a genius when he first learned wind blades. Allison tried to hide this from him. He didn¡¯t have much insight. He just felt that Master Allison was really impressive to be able to control magic to such an extent. Lorne had the same mentality as him but the system did not say that he had learned wind blades. He had to bite the bullet and say he hadn¡¯t learned it or he might just tell Master Camet he did. Then, Camet told Lorne about the incantation of the wind blade and the Magic Power circulation route. When he finished, the prompt in Lorne¡¯s mind sounded. ¡°Ding! Through Camet¡¯s explanation, the wind blades begin to absorb the energy of the space.¡± ¡°After listening to Camet¡¯s explanation, the comprehension speed of wind blades has increased.¡± Upon hearing this, Lorne could not help but laugh. Was he finally here? And the change in his expression was all in Camet¡¯s eyes. From serious at first to surprised and finally excited. ¡°How¡¯s it going, Lorne?¡± Camet asked with concern. He was so afraid that Lorne was too sensible to tell him anything. He had seen this kind of person before. If it was magic, he was very willing to help. However, he was afraid that geniuses would become stressful and impatient after encountering setbacks. He felt that he had been cultivating magic very quickly in the past but why was it that he had become much slower in the future? Then, there would be a deviation in his mind. For example, a genius who learned Magic Shields in a month. When he first came into contact with the wind blades, he flew into a rage out of humiliation because he could not mobilize the attribute elements. Because they felt that magic was their servant. If their servant did not listen to them they would fall into a state of anxiety and if they could calm down during this period, they would be able to quickly walk out of this mistake. He was dying to know if Lorne would enter this misdirection but apparently Lorne hadn¡¯t encountered the difficulties he¡¯d expected. The smile on Lorne¡¯s face said everything. ¡°It¡¯s alright, Master Camet. After listening to you, my mastery of wind blades has reached another level. I think I can learn wind blades today.¡± Hearing Lorne say that, Camet dared not touch his beard again. Ever since he met Lorne, his beard fell faster than his white hair. He didn¡¯t want to strip off his beard. Lorne had given him too many surprises. Despite Lorne¡¯s words, Camet smiled benevolently, as if nothing could stir his heart. As expected of Master Camet. ¡®I can¡¯t surprise him by learning wind blades in a day. It seems Master Camet must have met a genius more powerful than me.¡¯ Because in his memory, some people had just started learning magic and could release it after learning a little. He still had to find a way to familiarize himself with the use of Magic Power. ¡°That¡¯s right. Although the cultivation speed isn¡¯t slow, you don¡¯t have to be anxious. First, feel the use of Magic Power and release the incantation. Use your own proficiency method to release the fastest magic.¡± ¡°These are the real reasons why I¡¯m teaching you the wind blades. That¡¯s all for today. If you have any questions, you can come to me tomorrow. I won¡¯t be at school this afternoon.¡± Camet was all smiles. He was too pleased with his apprentice, Lorne. There was nothing to nitpick about Lorne¡¯s performance. Who wouldn¡¯t like obedient students? And when Lorne heard what Master Camet said, he did not quite understand it himself. However, as long as he learned magic, he would understand the entire structure of magic and how to cultivate the fastest. This was obviously a summation of the magic itself and stored in his head. However, he would use it whenever he wanted. He saw magic as his own children and watched them thrive.. Chapter 12 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations ¡°Ding! Wind Blade has listened to Master Camet¡¯s words and its understanding of itself has increased.¡± ¡°The growth of wind blades has reached its limit. You have learned wind blades.¡± ¡°With the help of the rune¡¯s basic arrangement, its comprehension speed has increased.¡± Hearing the prompt in his head, Lorne was overjoyed. It was just as he thought. Master Camet was a walking experience machine but he could not reveal that he had learned wind blades. Otherwise, Master Camet would definitely put him together with the strongest genius. Furthermore, he was the one who mainly comprehended wind blades, not Lorne. He felt that it was best to keep the secret that magic could automatically cultivate such things. Otherwise, if he was discovered by the bad guys, his life might be tough. Thinking about it, Lorne replied, ¡°Alright, thank you, Master Camet. I¡¯ll go back and try to comprehend it. If there¡¯s anything I don¡¯t understand, I¡¯ll ask you tomorrow.¡± With that, Lorne left. He needed to find a place to test out the wind blades. And Camet nodded in satisfaction at his agitation. He knew that Lorne must have gone back to cultivate magic. What a diligent child. Camet thought to himself. In a flash, he went there. Meanwhile, Lorne walked toward the school¡¯s arena. He wanted to practice his wind blade. Moreover, he was a little poor now. Ever since he came to this world, he didn¡¯t have much money left. As an orphan, not only did he have to cultivate magic but he also had to find ways to earn money to support himself. He was going to ask Master Camet about this tomorrow and see if he could leave school to hunt for magical beasts. If he joined the hunters to stop them, he could go and hunt magical beasts. With his strength, hunting a few magical beasts was not a problem. The main thing was that magical beasts were more valuable. Furthermore, he had never fought with magical beasts before. Perhaps Master Camet could introduce him to a part-time job. It was really a copper coin that would stump the future Archmage, Lorne. The campus was a place with many eyes. Lorne could not use teleportation skills here. Teleportation was his trump card. He would not use it unless it was a critical moment. Camet used teleportation as a means of travel but Lorne used teleportation as a means of escape. When Lorne arrived at the entrance of the arena, he realized that it was surrounded by fences. Seeing the guard in the distance, Lorne asked curiously, ¡°Guard, what happened in the arena? Why is it surrounded?¡± The guards of the Day Class and the guards of the Night Class were not of the same group or they would have complained about Lorne. ¡°I don¡¯t know who went crazy in the arena the other night. They beat up the testing equipment there until it became old. They overloaded it. The entire stadium is being repaired today.¡± After the guard finished speaking, Lorne instantly understood that he had trained too hard. Having overloaded the instrument, Lorne scratched his head in embarrassment. ¡°So that¡¯s how it is. That person is really hateful. Thank you, Big Brother Guard.¡± It seemed that he could not go to the arena today. Where could he train his wind blades? Lorne was troubled. He sighed and walked towards his dormitory. ¡°Wind Blade, you have to work hard and cultivate! In the future, defeating magical beasts will depend on you!¡± Lorne encouraged the wind blade, hoping that it could quickly cultivate. He could only go back and have a good sleep. He could cultivate his mental power while sleeping, Lorne didn¡¯t know why. With his encouragement, the Wind Blade also sped up its cultivation. ¡°The Wind Blade felt that it was the weakest among all the spells. In order to catch up with other spells, it began to train harder.¡± ¡°Feeling your encouragement, the Wind Blade¡¯s understanding of itself has reached another level.¡± That¡¯s right, the wind blades were also starting to work hard. He just had to focus on cultivating his spiritual power. When a mage¡¯s mental strength reached a certain level, it would accelerate the cultivation of magic. So while Lorne slept, the other spells cultivated faster than when he was awake. On the way back to the dormitory, the others saw that Lorne¡¯s gaze was different from before. Many people that he did not know started to greet him. Some beauties even left him their contact details. But they didn¡¯t know that poor Lorne didn¡¯t even have a magic machine. Magic Machines were equivalent to cell phones in this world. They were magic that used thousands of miles of sound transmission. Adding the fusion of virtual magic technology into a magic tool, it was unknown who created it. Lorne felt that the person who created this magic machine was very likely a reborn person. However, he did not know who it was because the Magic Machine had existed in this world for many years. The cost of a magic machine was not low and it could only be made by someone who had certain achievements in magic and craftsmen. Although there were ordinary versions in the store, Lorne was prepared to wait until he was strong enough. He could buy his own materials and create his own. That was because he realized that other than socializing, there was nothing else in the Magic Machine. Of course, that was all for later. What Lorne had to do now was sleep. He would not waste his precious time waiting for the arena to open and practice his wind blades. Back at the dorm, Lorne fell asleep shortly after lying on the bed. For some reason, ever since he came to this world, he could fall asleep very quickly. He could sleep whenever he wanted. He had never felt this way before. He slept until two in the afternoon when his stomach started growling. After waking up, the first thing Lorne did was open the system interface. He wanted to see how much his strength had increased. ¡°Host: Lorne.¡± ¡°Age: 18.¡± Level: Mage Apprentice Magic: Magic Shield (Level 3 0.25%), Magic Weapon Basic Structure (Level 4 10%), Basic Rune Arrangement (Level 4 11%), Wind Blade (Level 1 5%), Teleport (Level 1 60%) Seeing his characteristic panel, Lorne nodded in satisfaction. His Magic Shield was already level three and his teleportation was almost level two. The basic structure and rune arrangement of Magic Weapons were also level four. Even the wind blades that he had just learned were level one. It seemed that sleeping could indeed increase one¡¯s cultivation speed! Feeling hungry, Lorne teleported to the commercial street outside the school. At this time, the school canteen was already closed. He could only go to the commercial street to eat. Then, he returned to the school¡¯s arena to practice his wind blades and came to the arena. Lorne looked at the brand new arena. It seemed that he could train again tonight.. Chapter 13 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations However, what Lorne didn¡¯t know was that a pair of eyes was looking at him through sunglasses. This person was none other than Camet, who had seen Lorne training in the arena. He could only sigh. The PVP Arena originally needed money. Entering it once would cost a lot of silver coins. But ever since he¡¯d used teleportation to take Lorne there once, Lorne had learned bad things from him. And this kid had learned the teleportation skill from him. ¡® No, we can¡¯t go on like this. If Lorne¡¯s training method is always used in school.¡¯ The school¡¯s treasury was going to be emptied by him. Dean Allison would definitely reprimand him when he returned. He had to think of a way. And he had to get Lorne to agree to it. While Master Camet was thinking about how to properly teach Lorne, Lorne had already begun to contact him happily in the arena. One moment, there was a wind blade and the next moment, a Magic Weapon was thrown over. Then, he used his Magic Shield to block the attack. Just like that, his magic proficiency also increased and his strength also increased rapidly. When it was early in the morning, Lorne stopped cultivating and ate breakfast before heading to Master Kalmad¡¯s room. Meanwhile, Master Camet had spent the night wondering how he could arrange for Lorne and he had even asked him to agree. When there was a knock on his office door, Camet realized what had happened. He quickly put away the magic mirror and tidied his clothes. ¡°Come in.¡± Lorne pushed open the door and entered. Seeing Master Camet sitting in his seat, Lorne asked curiously, ¡°Teacher, good morning!¡± ¡°Yes, I just came to the office and you¡¯re already here. You¡¯re really hardworking.¡± Camet¡¯s kind words embarrassed Lorne. ¡°By the way, how¡¯s your training of wind blades?¡± Camet asked curiously. ¡°Teacher, I can barely reach your level but sometimes I still fail.¡± Upon hearing Lorne¡¯s words, Camet was dumbfounded. Why did he have to show his excellence? He had especially taken out his ultimate skill and now Lorne was telling him that he had almost mastered it. Is this what it means to be a real genius? Comparisons are odious, thought Camet. Seeing Camet in a daze, Lorne was curious about what had happened to his teacher. Could her words have scared him? But that shouldn¡¯t be the case. Could it be that the one that Camte taught him was difficult to operate? Even he had to cultivate for an entire night before he could fully master this technique. The Wind Blade was almost level two and the other spells all had different small improvements. ¡°Not bad, looks like you¡¯re really working hard.¡± He calmed down and spoke calmly. Even someone as experienced as him found it hard to believe that Lorne could grasp that method so quickly. He had learned that technique when he was bored, because the magic cast by someone needed to dissipate. Mages would always find a way to lock onto their enemies or take back part of their mana. In this way, the damage caused by magic would not be as high as it was originally and he was using this technique to coax his granddaughter, Dalyana, into thinking of it. In order to make him happy, Camet was now even more certain that Lorne was not a reincarnator. Reincarnators could only learn magic faster if they were reincarnated. However, they would not be able to practice magic like this. This was useless on the previous battlefield. Having been praised by Camet, Lorne wasn¡¯t proud. Instead, he said humbly, ¡°Teacher Camet, you taught me well.¡± Hearing Lorne¡¯s words, Camet smiled kindly. Seeing that Camet was happy, Lorne took the opportunity to share his thoughts. ¡°Master Camet, I don¡¯t have much money now. I wanted to ask if you have any part-time jobs here?¡± Lorne¡¯s humble words made him gain a bunch of favorability points from Camet. Lorne probably would have filled up at Camet¡¯s. Seeing that Lorne was being so modest, Camet smiled and said, ¡°Sure but wait for me to think about it.¡± ¡°Yes, teacher.¡± Hearing Lorne¡¯s words, Camet was naturally very happy because he was too humble. Furthermore, he had to earn money to support himself and look at the children in his family. He had not grown up under their protection. No wonder Lorne did not have such a proud expression. Camet recalled that most of his disciples were disciples of large families, so he naturally had more small problems. However, his talent was better than ordinary people. For someone like him who liked to teach geniuses, he naturally could only choose the disciples of large family clans. However, if Lorne wanted to earn money, the most profitable way was to hunt magical beasts. And since Lorne needed money to kill magical beasts, it was naturally the most profitable. Another point was that he could cultivate magic outside. He did not need to harm the school¡¯s arena. He spent another night in the arena. The arena couldn¡¯t be opened today, so they had to ask someone to repair it again. He had taken care of this matter but it wouldn¡¯t last long. And now Lorne wanted to make money, hunt magical beasts, make money and train magic. Combining all these points, wasn¡¯t it just going out to train? For a moment, it was as if Camet could see the light in front of him. That¡¯s right. Arrange for Lorne to go out and train. With his talent, he could quickly master a lot of magic and earn a lot of money. More importantly, he would no longer practice magic in school. When the time came, the arena would not be maintained every day. If not, he would have to send a message to the construction team. He told them to come back in two days. He would have to teach Lorne some elementary spells in the next few days. She wanted him to train outside so that he would not harm the facilities in the school. ¡°Lorne, do you have any thoughts about going out for training?¡± ¡°Lorne, do you have any thoughts about going out for training?¡± He meant for him to go out and train. Not only could he earn money but he could also practice his magic. Although he thought this way, the magical beasts outside were all very powerful. Lorne, on the other hand, was just a newbie who had just entered the law school. He was not a melee fighter. It was really a question whether he could survive if he went out to train now. ¡°Teacher, I really want to go train but my strength first¡¡± Understanding Lorne¡¯s concern, Camet smiled. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, I¡¯ll go with you. When the time comes, I can teach you some other magic. This will be useful for your training.¡± It was mainly because Camet himself helped to answer other people¡¯s questions at school and they were all newbies. That was when he¡¯d done it because he wasn¡¯t very busy. After taking Lorne in, Camet had put all his attention on Lorne. Even if he went out with Lorne to train, it would be fine, unless there was a huge crisis at the academy. Otherwise, he wouldn¡¯t need to do anything. Because Dean Allison wasn¡¯t around, he was now the acting dean.. Chapter 14 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations And now, nurturing Lorne to become an archmage was his current goal. Lorne could be said to be the most talented student he had ever seen. He was stronger than the others and he was very humble. This made him think highly of Lorne. Lorne was very surprised to hear what Camet said. He hadn¡¯t expected Master Camet to follow him specifically because of his experience. This moved him greatly. It seemed that he had truly found the right master. ¡°Teacher, I¡¯ll listen to your arrangements. I¡¯m willing to train!¡± With such a good teacher around, how could he face Camet if he continued to be timid? This would make him feel terrible. Seeing that Lorne agreed, Camet understood that Lorne was mainly affected by him this time. However, the outcome was good. When the time came, he would watch Lorne cultivate. He would wait until Lorne was in danger before he made his move. That would not only increase Lorne¡¯s strength. And it would earn him a considerable fee. At the thought, Camet stood up. ¡°Lorne, since you¡¯ve agreed, I¡¯ll give you a present today.¡± With that said, a blue light flashed in Camet¡¯s hand and a blue ring appeared in his hand. ¡°Lorne, this ring is a magical space ring. The space inside is determined by your mental strength. I obtained him in the ancient ruins. He has been in my hands for a long time. I will give him to you now.¡± With that, Camet handed the ring to Lorne. The entire ring was bright white and there was a very beautiful blue gemstone on it. In the past, even if Lorne hunted magical beasts for his entire life, he would not be able to afford such a ring. Lorne took the ring and smiled happily. However, he felt uneasy when he thought about the value of the ring. ¡°Teacher, isn¡¯t a ring like this too precious? I still don¡¯t¡¡± Seeing that Lorne was about to refuse, Camet praised himself. He pretended to be unhappy and said, ¡°Lorne, I know you¡¯re very humble but this ring is a reward for your courage. You can take it with ease!¡± Camet thought Lorne was doing too well on his side. Learning the Magic Shield in the first three days amazed him. Later, he became humble. There were also hard shots of him practicing magic all night long, which completely captured Camet. Which teacher didn¡¯t want a student who was not only talented but also hardworking? It could be said that it wasn¡¯t Lorne¡¯s good luck that Camet had met Lorne. It was Camet¡¯s good luck. If Lorne became a Supreme Mage in the future, he would have the title of a Supreme Mage teacher. This title was unique because it had been a long time since a Supreme Mage had appeared in this world. Because of this, there were fewer and fewer people learning magic. Upon hearing what Camet said, Lorne could only keep the ring on his finger. ¡°After you wear the ring, use your spiritual power to lock onto the ring. Then, you¡¯ll be able to see the space inside.¡± ¡°No one else can get what¡¯s inside this ring unless you¡¯re dead.¡± Seeing Lorne put on the ring, Camet taught him how to use it after wearing it. Lorne naturally followed his instructions and tied his spiritual power to the interspatial ring. Soon, a dark flour flower appeared in his mind. There was no light in the darkness. When Lorne¡¯s mental power entered it, it would be like a fish entering a calm pond. Waves of energy rippled through the air and light began to appear in the darkness. Slowly, the light began to expand. Shortly after, a space the size of a basketball court appeared. Seeing that the space ring had stabilized, Lorne retracted his spiritual power and looked at Master Camet. ¡°Teacher, I succeeded. The space is as big as half of the arena in our school.¡± ¡°That¡¯s right. In the future, as long as you properly cultivate your spirit power, his space will continue to expand.¡± Camet nodded in satisfaction and grabbed Lorne¡¯s hand. ¡°Lorne, I¡¯ll teleport you to the Sunset Mountains. When we get there, I¡¯ll teach you some basic magic of other attributes.¡± ¡°Alright, Teacher.¡± Lorne nodded. Then, a light flashed in front of him. They were still in the school office. At this moment, they were already in a mountain forest. In the distance, there was a mountain range that was as tall as the clouds. ¡°Teacher, is that the Sunset Mountains?¡± Lorne asked curiously. The mountain peak was very high and there were floating rocks beside it. The most peculiar thing was that there was a sun-like rock in the middle of the mountain range. It was as if it was about to fall at any time, making one feel like that was the place where the sun rested. Maybe that¡¯s how the name Sunset Mountains came to be, Lorne thought. ¡°Yes, this is the Sunset Mountains. You should be able to tell the reason at a glance.¡± ¡°Yes, Teacher. It should be because of that rock.¡± ¡°That¡¯s right, you¡¯ll be training here next. But remember, don¡¯t go to the top of the mountain range.¡± ¡°Not only are there powerful and strange magical beasts, there are also some strange plants. With your current strength, you can just train in the forest of the mountain range.¡± Camet was afraid that Lorne had just come out for training and could not resist his curiosity to explore the mountain range, so he reminded him seriously. ¡°Alright teacher, I understand.¡± Lorne looked around at the beautiful scenery and was momentarily mesmerized. He, who had lived in the city in his previous life, had never seen such a scene. The trees were as tall as buildings and some magical beasts ran past them. There were also beast roars in the distance that made one¡¯s scalp go numb. ¡°Next, you¡¯ll start from the lowest-level magical beast, the Red-eared Rabbit.¡± Camet looked around the room, using his investigative type of magic to see the ever-present magic rabbit in the distance. He spoke to Lorne. He then used a teleportation skill to teleport the Red-eared Rabbit to Lorne. The Red-eared Rabbit, who had been eating grass in the distance, was startled to see Lorne and Camet suddenly appear. His red ears began to swell and then a stream of fire came out of his mouth. The moment the flame was spat out, its ears returned to their original state. It looked very strange. Lorne did not hesitate and placed a Magic Shield in front of him. The Red-eared Rabbits attack was like a water gun hitting the ground and did not cause any damage to the Magic Shield. Seeing that Lorne¡¯s Magic Shield had reached such a level, Camet was shocked. He originally thought that Lorne¡¯s strength increase was very fast but he did not expect it to be this fast. How did he find the time to practice magic one by one? This made him very curious but this also involved Lorne¡¯s secret, so he couldn¡¯t ask. He could only stand aside and watch Lorne¡¯s next performance.. Chapter 15 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations After using his Magic Shield to block the Red-eared Rabbits flame attack, Lorne raised his hand and shot a wind blade at it. With a swoosh, the wind blade sliced through the Red-eared Rabbit¡¯s body. The originally active Red-eared Rabbit instantly became a dead rabbit. ¡°That¡¯s right, Lorne. Your counterattack is very impressive. Next, go and contact the Red-eared Rabbits. Your target this morning is ten Red-eared Rabbits.¡± Camet saw that Lorne had given his men the task after he had finished the Scarlet Ear Rabbit. ¡°Teacher, you are underestimating me for having ten Red-eared Rabbits. Watch me kill twenty for you!¡± After defeating the Red-eared Rabbit, Lorne felt that killing it was too easy. It was not enough for him to waste too much effort, so he decided to double the target that Camet had set for him. In his memory, the Red-eared Rabbit was worth 100 bronze coins. His fur was the most valuable because the Red-eared Rabbit was a fire-type magical beast. If his fur was made into clothes, not only could it prevent fire attacks but it could also be used to keep warm. He was loved by many. In order to earn money and become rich, Lorne had to hunt more Red-eared Rabbits. Camet was not surprised to see Lorne so confident. Instead, he smiled mysteriously. Although Lorne was confused, he still set off to search for the Red-eared Rabbit. He walked out of the forest and easily found a Red-eared Rabbit eating grass. Lorne did not hesitate and shot a wind blade at the Red-eared Rabbit. Xiu! Just as the wind blades were about to hit the Red-eared Rabbit. The Red-eared Rabbit¡¯s feet were burning as it dodged Lorne Wind Blade¡¯s attack, which surprised Lorne. Then, the rabbit ran away without turning back, leaving Lorne dumbfounded. It turned out that the Red-eared Rabbit¡¯s fire element could not only be used for attack but also to increase its movement speed. Of course, Lorne did not know. Logically, this was a course he would only learn next year. The first year of magic college was basically learning basic magic and practicing the release of magic. As well as the cultivation of mental strength, it was obvious that Lorne had already suffered in this aspect. Seeing that Lorne was defeated, Kalmad slowly talked about the characteristics of the Red-eared Rabbit. ¡°Red-eared Rabbits can not only give fire elements to their ears, they can also give their feet. Some powerful Red-eared Rabbits can even release fire elements from their bodies and charge towards the enemy in flames.¡± Hearing Camet¡¯s words Lorne was combining what had just happened with the Scarlet Ear Rabbit. He quickly figured out how to kill the Red-eared Rabbit. ¡°Alright, I understand.¡± Hearing Lorne¡¯s words, Camet was curious. He¡¯d understood before he¡¯d told him about his habits? We¡¯ll see what he does next, Camet thought. Lorne moved forward again, looking for the next Scarlet Ear Rabbit. Judging from the situation of the rabbit eating grass, the Red-eared Rabbit had sensed danger earlier, so it used the fire element to escape. He did not turn back to fight against Lorne and the first Red-eared Rabbit was teleported here by Camet. He felt the powerlessness of fear from Karmit, so he wanted to fight to the death with Lorne. Because it knew it couldn¡¯t run. It was an animal¡¯s warning of danger and its fear of powerful magic. After understanding this, Lorne knew how to deal with the Red-eared Rabbit. Soon, he found another Red-eared Rabbit in an open space. This time, Lorne found the right angle. A wind blade was shot out and the Red-eared Rabbit was the same as before, its legs emitting crimson flames. He ran forward but Lorne would not let him this time. A Magic Shield was erected where the Red-eared Rabbit had escaped. The Red-eared Rabbit¡¯s head crashed into Lorne¡¯s Magic Shield. The Red-eared Rabbit fainted, its tongue sticking out from the corner of its mouth. Its four legs were still burning. Just as Lorne was about to finish off the Red-eared Rabbit with his wind blade, Camet stopped him. Lorne looked questioningly at Camet, who pointed at the Red Ear Rabbit. ¡°Lorne, even if the Red-eared Rabbit fainted, his elemental Magic Power has not disappeared. This means that the Red-eared Rabbit has magical power.¡± Lorne understood what was going on. Some powerful magical beasts would have magical stones among their kind, which could be obtained by hunting magical beasts. And magical stones were expensive. Level-one magical stones were worth one silver coin. It was equivalent to the price of ten Red-eared Rabbits. In this world, 1,000 copper coins was equivalent to silver coins. 100 silver coins was equivalent to one gold coin, 100 gold coins was equivalent to one purple coin. However, most purple coins were used for cultivation. Gold coins and silver coins were the main currency. ¡°Teacher, what should I do?¡± Lorne asked curiously. He did not know what to do. He had never learned how to extract magical stones. He only knew that he needed a specific method to obtain them. Otherwise, during the process of retrieving the magical stones, the magical power in the crystals would dissipate. ¡°There¡¯s no hurry. Today, I¡¯ll teach you a way to extract the magical stones. It¡¯s much more useful than what I was taught.¡± As Camet spoke, he began to mutter a spell and the Scarlet Ear Rabbit was completely wrapped up. Without any screams, the magical stones inside the Red-eared Rabbit were extracted. The light red magical crystal floated slowly into Camet¡¯s hand and he handed it to Lorne. At this moment, a voice sounded in Lorne¡¯s head. ¡°You watched the stripping spell. You learned the stripping spell.¡± ¡°Under the influence of the rune¡¯s basic arrangement, your stripping spell accelerates your cultivation.¡± Lorne was very happy to hear the system prompt. He did not expect to learn Camet¡¯s stripping spell so quickly. Camet saw Lorne¡¯s happy expression after covering it up. He thought that Lorne was amazed by the magic of his stripping. ¡°Lorne, this is just a small spell. It¡¯s for the convenience of us high-level mages to deprive the magical stones. If you want to learn it, I can teach you now.¡± Lorne didn¡¯t try to hide it. Camet had said it was a small spell. No wonder his comprehension speed was so fast. He only had to look at it once to learn it. ¡°Teacher, I learned it when you showed it just now.¡± Because it was a minor spell, Lorne didn¡¯t think there was any need to lie about it, so Camet told the truth. Camet¡¯s eyes widened. What had he just heard? Learned again? Didn¡¯t I not start teaching yet? How did he learn it? Camet felt like a magic book. All he had to do was tell Lorne about the magic and it wouldn¡¯t take Lorne long to master it himself. There was no need for him to teach her any techniques. This made him feel extremely uncomfortable, feeling like he couldn¡¯t invite them for long. Lorne didn¡¯t need his feelings. ¡®I guess I¡¯d better introduce him to Dean Allison when he comes out of seclusion.¡¯ He¡¯s the one who¡¯s mentally exhausted, Camet thought. Now he¡¯d better focus on getting Lorne to lay the foundation. He didn¡¯t think too much about other things, because thinking about it would only add to his troubles.. Chapter 16 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations Lorne saw the look of worry on Camet¡¯s face. ¡°Master Camet, what is it?¡± Faced with Lorne¡¯s question, Camet smiled and said, ¡°It¡¯s alright. Your talent is really too good. When the mission is completed, I¡¯ll teach you other spells.¡± ¡°Alright, Teacher!¡± Lorne continued searching for the Red-eared Rabbit. He had to complete his goal no matter what. However, after learning the method, Lorne quickly killed enough Red-eared Rabbits. Although there were no more Magical Crystal Red-eared Rabbits, this round of hunting had earned Lorne a lot. The most important thing was that it did not take long. During this time, he even encountered other magical beasts. But they were all chased away by Camet. He told Lorne to focus on the Red-eared Rabbit first. Lorne did not understand why Camet would do that. With his current strength, he was more than enough to deal with those magical beasts. But he believed that there had to be a reason for Camet to do this. The truth was that what Camet was doing for Lorne now was the third-year course at the Academy of Magic. Most of the freshmen in the first year had elemental magic and mastered magic. In the second year, they had an understanding of magical beasts and continents. There was also learning new magic and the third year had entered the actual combat stage. Mages needed three years to go into battle and kill enemies but Swordsmen did not. They spent the first six months training their swordsmanship. There was also physical strength. They would start hunting Magical Beasts in the next half year which made their combat experience extremely rich. At the same time, they could earn a considerable amount of money. However, they would need to form a team of mages to hunt higher-level magical beasts. Without the help of mages, it would be difficult for them to hunt high-level magical beasts. But an experienced mage would not enter the ranks of those newcomers. The new team also wanted to find older mages. Otherwise, they would have to train with mages for another half a year. If an inexperienced mage was to assist them, they would be wiped out by the high-level monsters. This was also an awkward cycle, so those who cultivated magic were usually children from wealthy families. Their family had recruited swordsmen who could make mages without combat experience follow them. This was also why mages were rare. Lorne was a commoner mage and the reason why he learned magic was very simple. He had been eliminated from the Swordsman Academy. In order to survive, he could only try his luck. Fortunately, the crystal detected that he had a chance to practice magic. If not, Lorne might really starve to death on the streets. He would not be able to live as carefreely as he did now. Seeing that Lorne had completed his task, Master Camet spoke again. ¡°Lorne, I¡¯m going to teach you the newbie¡¯s magic this time. It¡¯s called Flaming Bullet.¡± Hearing that his teacher was going to teach him a new spell, Lorne¡¯s eyes were filled with anticipation. Understanding the expectant look in Lorne¡¯s eyes, Camet adjusted himself and continued. ¡°The Flaming Bullet is different from the Wind Blade. It¡¯s an Area Of Effect attack spell.¡± As he spoke, he released a Flaming Bullet towards the empty space in the distance. It was worth noting that the Raging Flames Bullet did not disappear like the wind blades. After it exploded on the ground, the other small flames flew in all directions. Seeing Camet¡¯s demonstration, Lorne nodded, not fully understanding. The wind blade was a single-target attack that could be compressed. On the other hand, the Raging Flames Bullet was a splash type attack that could cause damage to the surrounding enemies. ¡°Put the Red-eared Rabbit on the ground and try to feel the fire element in the air. Then, move it.¡± Lorne closed his eyes and began to feel the fire element. Although he closed his eyes, a ball of flames appeared in front of Lorne¡¯s eyes and floated around him. Camet nodded in satisfaction. He would have to wait slowly for Lorne to feel the fire element. The process wouldn¡¯t take too long. Even a typical genius would take a day. He figured Lorne would need an hour. Just as he was about to sit on the ground and rest, Lorne said happily, ¡°Teacher, I really want to see the fire element!¡± This¡ Camet had nothing to say. He said he was used to it. Every time Lorne surprised him, he felt that for an hour Lorne could feel it but it took Lorne less than a minute. This made Camet, who was also a genius, feel humiliated. What kind of genius was he? This Lorne in front of him was the real monster. Indeed, he could only be considered outstanding. A true genius was like Lorne. ¡°Teacher, I can feel the fire element. What should I do next?¡± Upon hearing Lorne¡¯s question, Camet immediately reacted. ¡°Ahem, try to gather the fire elements together. When they are successfully gathered, you can open your eyes.¡± Lorne did as Camet told him. He gathered the fire element to his chest. He could clearly feel the temperature on his chest changing. At this moment, two notifications rang in his mind. ¡°Ding! Congratulations on learning Flame Bullet.¡± ¡°When the Blazing Bullet saw the host rubbing the fireball, he excitedly joined in and his cultivation speed increased.¡± Hearing the voice in his mind, Lorne knew that he had already learned the Flaming Bullet. He did not combine the fireball and the Raging Flames Bullet together and hit the empty space in the distance. At this moment, a Gale Wolf darted out from the bushes. Before it could react, a Raging Flame Bullet the size of his body hit him. Then, sounds of explosions rang out in the surroundings. The Gale Wolves had turned into roasted wolves. He was just taking a stroll like he usually did. Why would someone release Flaming Bullets randomly in the forest? Such dangerous magic! Seeing the Gale Wolf that he had killed, Lorne happily said to Camet, ¡°Teacher, we can have roast wolf meat for lunch today.¡± Seeing the innocent young man in front of him, Camet didn¡¯t know what to say. He had just learned the Raging Flame Bullet but he had already killed a second-rank Magical Beast, the Gale Wolf, in an instant. How could other mages survive? He suspected that if Lorne joined the Dark Mages in the future, it would be a disaster for the entire continent. In order to prevent Lorne from going down the wrong path, he had to teach him well. Otherwise, it would be a waste of his talent. Lorne¡¯s talent could not be considered a genius. He was a monster among geniuses. Camet, who had lived so long, had never seen such a monstrous genius. Lorne was the first. After Lorne split the wolf meat, he walked towards Camet with a leg. ¡°Teacher, you eat first.¡± Seeing how obedient Lorne was, Camet smiled in relief. Such a sensible child would not fight with those Dark Sorcerers. He had to lead Lorne well. He was even more determined now.. Chapter 17 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations ¡°I have to say, this roasted wolf meat is not bad.¡± As he ate the leg meat of the Gale Wolf that Lorne handed him, he thought to himself. That was because the Gale Wolf¡¯s main advantage was its four legs. It had the most meat. Therefore, the most delicious part was the meat on his thigh. Seeing how filial Lorne was, Camet was very pleased. It was as if his grandson had grown up. He was so sensible. But Lorne didn¡¯t give it much thought. He ate the Gale Wolf¡¯s meat in large bites. He realized that with every bite it took, his Wind Blade¡¯s proficiency would increase a little and the prompt in his head kept ringing. ¡°Consumed wind element ingredients, Wind Blade Proficiency increases by 0.001%.¡± ¡°Consumed wind element ingredients, Wind Blade Proficiency increases by 0.001%.¡± Every time he took a bite, the prompt in his mind sounded. This was also why Lorne ate so happily. It wasn¡¯t just because it was delicious. More importantly, he could increase the proficiency of Lorne¡¯s magic. This way, he could quickly become stronger. Soon, the Gale Wolf¡¯s meat was finished by Lorne alone. Seeing how much he ate, Camet could not help but sigh. He was also shocked. This was too terrifying. How could this child eat so much? He was full from eating just one wolf leg but Lorne had eaten the entire Gale Wolf. Apart from feeding him a leg, he ate everything else. Perhaps this was a genius. No matter what he did, he was different from others. Camet thought to himself as Lorne finished the Gale Wolf. This Gale Wolf was worth 10 silver coins, yet it was roasted by his Flaming Bullets. Furthermore, he had eaten all of them. When Lorne regained his senses, he looked at the Gale Wolf bones on the ground. Should he put these bones into his storage ring? He remembered that the bones of the Whirlwind Wolves could also be sold for money. Seeing Lorne¡¯s money-grubbing look, Camet smiled and said, ¡°Lorne, stop looking. I¡¯ll bring you to kill something more valuable later!¡± ¡°Really, Teacher?¡± Lorne smiled to himself when he heard that Camet was going to bring him something more valuable. Seeing him so money-grubbing, Camet smiled helplessly. ¡°Of course. When have I ever lied to you?¡± ¡°Yay!¡± Lorne was now acting as happy as a child, though he didn¡¯t want to look like that. However, he still had to show that he deserved it. And he was really happy. He was about to leave the poor life. Ever since he came to this world, he only had that little bit of money in his pocket. Every time he wanted to go to the canteen for a good meal, it was a pity that he didn¡¯t have money. Even the girls in the canteen didn¡¯t look at him. Although he was very famous in school now, there were still no girls who confessed to him. Magicians were a very expensive profession. Talent alone was not enough. ¡°You don¡¯t have any money in the later stages. You¡¯re still a piece of trash, aren¡¯t you? Magic scrolls, magic clothes, staff¡¡± There were too many things that needed money to support. Seeing how happy Lorne was, Camet started to bring forward his special training plan. There was nothing he could do if he did not bring forward the schedule. Right now, Lorne should still be in the midst of comprehending the fireball magic but in reality, he had already comprehended it. The key point was that it was quite powerful. He just didn¡¯t know how accurate it was. Thinking up to this point, Camet issued the next order: kill twenty Gale Wolves. Let Lorne practice his fireballs and the mission issued by Camet. Lorne did not hesitate. He immediately began searching for the Gale Wolves to hunt. Although it was the accuracy of the Flaming Bullet, an area of attack spell was much more accurate. Lorne found a small pack of Gale Wolves and ordered the Flaming Bullets to start charging. When the Inferno Bullet reached a particularly large size, Lorne threw it out. Then, the entire wolf tribe turned into roasted wolves. Seeing Lorne¡¯s operation, Camet was stunned. He hadn¡¯t expected Lorne to think of this. The longer the Flame Bullet was condensed, the more powerful it would be. The main thing was that the small race that Lorne was looking for did not have more than twenty. Completing Camet¡¯s mission was not one more or less. Without any hesitation, he placed the Gale Wolf meat into his storage ring. The wolf meat that was stored in the Storage Ring was better than the refrigerator. He could not only be insured but he could also ensure the quality of the food and what you took in. ¡®That¡¯s what you¡¯re like when you take it out. That¡¯s why Lorne did it.¡¯ Seeing Lorne¡¯s actions, Camet did not say anything. These were his spoils of war. He naturally had reason to deal with these things as long as it wasn¡¯t something he shouldn¡¯t do. He wouldn¡¯t even offer a word of warning. Only when Lorne was about to make a mistake. That was why Camet had spoken up to warn or give Lorne the right guidance. Looking at the Gale Wolf that had been dealt with on the ground, there was no other choice. Camet could only proceed with the next magical lesson. ¡°Teacher, my mission is completed.¡± ¡°Yes, you did very well.¡± ¡°Then what should I do next, Teacher?¡± Lorne asked curiously. ¡°Hey, let me teach you the next basic spell.¡± Camet sighed and continued. Although teachers liked good students, students were heaven-defying. Teachers would also feel tired. Now, he had experienced it himself. Although he sighed, he still had to teach. ¡°The next magic name is Ice-type magic. It can have the effect of Ice Spike. You can try to feel the energy of the Ice Element in the air.¡± Upon hearing what Camet said, Lorne immediately began to comprehend. This time was different from the last time. When Lorne closed his eyes, he could clearly see the colorful energy in front of him. There was green, blue, ice blue, brown, black and pure white. The attributes of these things could be seen from the color but Lorne only needed ice-blue energy now. He had successfully learned Ice Arrow under Camet¡¯s guidance and the first task of learning Ice Arrow was to kill the Cloud Eagles in the sky. Because the cloud eagles were particularly fast, Lorne¡¯s skills were hard to hit. He hunted thirty of them. But it also took a day and the next day the world Camet did not call Lorne magic again. He explained the herbs in the Sunset Mountains to Lorne and just like that, Lorne recognized many herbs. Another day passed and then Camet taught him the magic of various elements. Then he let Lorne make the connection himself. Lorne didn¡¯t know what was wrong with Camet. He could only practice his magic and his art. Camet, on the other hand, was fretting about Lorne. ¡®I can learn everything so fast. How can I teach?¡¯ He would teach him the basic spells and leave the rest to him. Camet thought.. Chapter 18 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations Just like that, Lorne began to learn the Water Ripple Art over the next few days. These included Water Shield, Water Arrow, these basic skills. According to Camet, ¡°If you want to learn advanced magic, you have to build a good foundation. After you learn these, you will naturally be able to learn advanced magic on your own.¡± It was just like what Camet had said, after completely mastering Fireball. Lorne¡¯s wind blade underwent a huge change. It multiplied into a cross wind blade. The original Wind Blade was a single target attack but the Cross Wind Blade was a group attack. Although the power was not as great as before, the range of the attack was wider. This surprised him. He hadn¡¯t thought he could do this. On the seventh day, Camet began to teach the magic of the Lorne earth element again. The earth element was mainly responsible for defense type magic but there were Rolling Stones and Meteor Smash. This type of magic had high single-target damage and although the meteor impact was slow, But when you learn the swamp of earth elemental magic, you will leave your enemies nowhere to run. He could control, protect himself and most importantly, cause explosive damage. If one was proficient in this element, they would be the strongest in the same elemental magic in the early stages. After Lorne mastered these spells, Camet asked a serious question. ¡°Lorne, are you going to choose that specialization?¡± Lorne looked at him in confusion. What did he mean by specialization? Shouldn¡¯t he be cultivating all his magic? Seeing Lorne¡¯s puzzled gaze, Camet patiently explained, ¡°Magic cultivation requires specialization. Because you are very talented, I taught you so many elemental types of magic. Now, choose one.¡± ¡°Otherwise, it would take a long time for a mage to practice so many spells.¡± Lorne realized that the others were different from him. It would take them a year or even more to cultivate a spell. Not to mention that he was especially proficient in all the magic attributes but Lorne was different. He could automatically practice all the magic he had learned. There was no need for him to practice them one by one. He really wanted to cultivate all his attributes but now was not the time to learn all his attributes. Camet¡¯s strongest attribute was wind magic, so his control over wind magic should be very high. After analyzing it in his heart, Lorne said firmly, ¡°Teacher, I want to learn wind magic from you!¡± Camet was surprised to hear Lorne¡¯s answer. He hadn¡¯t expected Lorne to want to learn wind magic. If Camet imparted his experience with wind attributes to Lorne, then Lorne would definitely be his strongest successor. ¡°Good. Then I¡¯ll teach you wind magic in the next few days. First, the wind shield.¡± ¡°Although this move is also a defensive move, it is quite different from a magic shield. Magic shields are mainly used to protect Mages, while Wind Shield is used to protect his teammates.¡± As Camet spoke, he began to demonstrate. He released a flaming projectile first. Then he summoned transparent wind style and completely blocked the flame bullet outside. The smoothness of releasing magic was no different from Lorne¡¯s direct command of magic. The series of actions left Lorne dumbfounded. As expected of the Archmage Camet, he had ten years of magic experience. The proficiency of this skill was too high. He casually cast two spells. ¡°The element of the wind shield is to float the wind element in front of you. You have to change the shape of the wind element so that you can summon any type of skill.¡± ¡°Come, summon the wind blades and try to change him into the shape of a wind shield.¡± Camet explained to Lorne while demonstrating and this method could only be seen by him. The other teachers did not have his magic proficiency, which was also why so many people wanted to be Camet students. Naturally, they did not have such rich teaching experience like Camet. Lorne displayed the energy of the wind blade in a different way according to the method mentioned by Camet. Following that, a circular wind shield appeared in the air. He then attempted to turn the wind shield into a square. Just like that, Lorne quickly learned how to control his hair. ¡°Ding! congratulations on mastering elemental control.¡± ¡°Elemental Control has strengthened your control over the wind element.¡± Hearing the prompt in his mind, Lorne was very happy. In a short while, the wind element needed a long time to change. In his hands, it was like clay, changing into whatever shape he wanted. This made Camet jump. This was too ruthless. Lorne was indeed a monster-level genius. He had only told him how to use it. He had figured out how to control magic so quickly. With such a powerful talent, Camet really didn¡¯t know what to say. However, he was used to it. Lorne was indeed very familiar with magic and elements. This must be the material for a natural archmage, thought Camet. As for Lorne, he was controlling the wind element and playing happily. At this moment, Camet suddenly felt that Lorne needed to experience the world properly. He could not stay with him forever. Looks like I¡¯ll need a good plan tonight, Camet thought. ¡°Teacher, look, I¡¯ve learned how to control the wind element.¡± ¡°Not bad, Lorne. Continue to control the wind element and transform him into the image in your mind.¡± ¡°Alright, Teacher.¡± Hearing Camet say that, Lorne turned the wind elementals into people, into spears, into wind arrows¡ It looked like a spell that could create anything. It had only taken Lorne half a day to control the elements to this extent. He did not know what to say for a moment. If this trend continued, it would not take long. He believed that Lorne¡¯s mastery of the elements in magic surpassed his teacher. After practicing the Elemental Control Method to level one, Lorne stopped. After cultivating for an entire afternoon without any rest, he was a little tired. Seeing Lorne cultivate, Camet delivered the meat he had prepared to him. ¡°Lorn, let¡¯s eat and get some rest tonight.¡± Camet looked at the tired and sweaty Lorne with concern. ¡°Okay, teacher.¡± Lorne took the rabbit leg and thanked Camet. Then, he started to eat in big mouthfuls and in a short while, he ate all the leg meat of the Red-eared Rabbit. ¡°Slow down, Lorne. I need to tell you something.¡± ¡°What is it, Teacher?¡± Lorne stopped eating. He wanted to know what had happened to Master Camet. His expression had suddenly turned so serious. ¡°I may have to go back to the academy for a few days. I have to go back and take care of some things.¡± ¡°Teacher, are we going back?¡± Chapter 19 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations ¡°No, you¡¯re not going back. You have to learn to face unknown magical beasts alone!¡± Lorne had never seen Camet look so serious. He saw the determination in his eyes. He knew Camet wanted him to exercise. He nodded resolutely. ¡°Alright, I understand.¡± Seeing Lorne nod, Camet didn¡¯t say much. Camet had thought Lorne might have many questions but he hadn¡¯t expected him to agree so quickly. In fact, Lorne had his own death wish. If Camet was gone, he could use his magic better. With all of his magic, he could cultivate it himself. He was not limited to the wind element magic. Of course, he had to practice all the fire and water elements. Just like that, the two of them slept in the magic tent for the night. When they woke up, Lorne realized that Camet was gone. It seemed that he had already returned to the academy. He stretched lazily and then began his hunt for breakfast. Soon, Lorne dragged a Red-eared Rabbit back to the camp and finished eating it. Lorne began his magic training for the day. He was going to contact fire-type magic today. After a few days of guidance from Camet, he had already mastered the wind element and the wind blade had reached level four. If a Gale Wolf were to appear before him, he would be able to dismember it in no time. The use of wind blades was not only limited to fighting but also Lorne, who was proficient in using wind blades. They¡¯d use him for fur removal, then cut him again. If any other mage saw Lorne say so. They would definitely say that he was too extravagant. After all, magic power was the most important source for mages. No one could wield their magic as freely as Lorne, if they really did. They must have done it when they were sure they were absolutely safe. Who would do it alone in the wild like Lorne? In the dark, Camet shook his head when he saw this scene. He did not expect Lorne to mess around after he left. Fortunately, he did not really leave. He only wanted to observe how Lorne was surviving alone in the dark. After all, he couldn¡¯t follow Lorne forever. He had to learn to be independent and grow up. What he didn¡¯t know was that Lorne¡¯s magic was different from others¡¯. His magic was like a pistol. He only needed a specific position or password. It was different from the mages who needed to extract magic power. Every release of magic was just a matter of words. Lorne hummed a tune as he slowly contacted his magic. Due to the Elemental Control Technique, Lorne¡¯s speed at controlling magic increased rapidly. This scene made Camet extremely envious. It was very difficult for a person to master the use of multiple elemental magic powers. The reason was very simple. Every elemental magic was like your little wife, if you put them together. How could they get along harmoniously? How could they get along harmoniously? Everyone wanted to be the main wife. Naturally, there was going to be a fierce battle. This was also the reason why many Mages were solely focused on cultivation. Except for those mages who had been stuck at this level for many years. Otherwise, they would not usually practice magic of other elements. Even if he were to cultivate it, it would only be for a short while. There was no magic like Lorne that could directly start cultivating the fire element. Wouldn¡¯t the magic power of the wind element explode? However, the scene that Camet expected did not appear on Lorne. The magical power of the wind element stayed obediently by Lorne¡¯s side. The fire element was especially active. The magical power of the wind element was like a little wife staying at home, not daring to speak. On the other hand, the Fire Elemental was a new lover. Seeing this, Camet could not understand. This was indeed not a genius. This was a monster among geniuses. This was too ridiculous. If he continued cultivating like Lorne, In the future, it would not be a problem to be a Master Magician with all attributes. He should protect Lorne in the dark. After all, he was the treasure of the college. He naturally could not let Lorne take the risk alone. Without the restrictions of the region, Lorne happily practiced magic. He even turned the flame into a human made of fire but the human made of fire had no consciousness and couldn¡¯t attack on its own. He really wanted the flaming humanoid to attack him directly. This way, he wouldn¡¯t need a warrior to help him resist. He summoned the Fire Human to harass the magical beasts while he attacked the shield. Thinking about it was a relaxing matter. The key point was that there was no need to deal with any team conflicts. At that time, the fireman would have consciousness. If it didn¡¯t obey, the magic power supply would be canceled. He stopped it so easily. It was hard to control it. That day, just as Lorne was thinking about how to make the fireman have his own combat awareness. The beastly roar was accompanied by the girl¡¯s scream. From afar, Lorne stood up and walked towards the direction of the scream. In the distance, a two-tailed poisonous scorpion was chasing after the three of them. The poisonous scorpion had a large sword stabbed into its body. His two tails were also riddled with wounds, judging from the equipment they were wearing. The broadsword should belong to the middle-aged man in the middle. The beautiful archer beside him shot an arrow at the Poisonous Scorpion. In order to slow down the advance of the scorpion, his relatives on the other side kept retreating with their swords. Lorne felt that if the swordsmen and archers worked together, they would be able to defeat the scorpions. But from his expression, it could be seen that the young man had been scared out of his wits by the scorpion. Without any intention of attacking, the pressure of the attack landed on the beautiful archer. The beautiful lady¡¯s golden hair started to float as she kept retreating. Not only did she have to look in front, he also had to pay attention to the poisonous scorpions behind her. If he was not careful, he might fall. What greeted him next was most likely the scorpion¡¯s poisonous tail. The three-meter-tall poisonous tail struck the blonde beauty. It was very likely that it would pierce through her body and she wouldn¡¯t even be able to save her. Just as Lorne expected, the blonde girl cried out in alarm. She tripped over a rock and fell to the ground. When the Twin-Tailed Poison Scorpion saw this scene, it happily roared and rushed over. Its tail was about to land on the young lady¡¯s body. The middle-aged man shouted anxiously, ¡°Elena, stand up!¡± The young swordsman saw that the poisonous tail was about to fall. He had no intention of turning back to fight and continued running forward. With a bang, Lorne attacked. He released his air shield on the blonde. After blocking the poisonous tail attack of the Twin-Tailed Poison Scorpion, he saw that his attack did not kill the person in front of him. The Two-Tailed Poison Scorpion howled angrily. This time, its two tails struck at the blonde beauty.. Chapter 20 Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations With a bang, the poisonous tail hit the air shield again. Seeing that the wind shield in front of them was still intact, the two of them did not think too much about it but the Twin-Tailed Poison Scorpion was even more furious. His green poisonous tail struck the wind shield even faster, trying to break it. Naturally, Lorne would not let him have his way. A wind blade hit the Poison-Tailed Scorpion. Then, the Poison-Tailed Scorpion was sent flying. Lorne also revealed his head and the three of them turned to look at the youth in front of them. His high nose bridge and delicate face gave people a kind feeling. Was it this young mage who saved them? Just as everyone was guessing Lorne¡¯s strength, Lorne smiled and said, ¡°This Poisonous Scorpion¡¯s defense is quite strong. I didn¡¯t expect it to be able to block my wind blades.¡± As he spoke, Lorne shot another wind blade at the tail of the two-tailed poisonous scorpion. If one of the scorpions¡¯ tails was cut by a knife, it would immediately fall to the ground. Seeing its tail cut off just like that, the Twin-Tailed Poison Scorpion felt threatened and began to reveal a timid expression. Step by step, he retreated. Then, another wind blade came at him. In a short while, the originally complete Two-Tailed Poisonous Scorpion turned into pieces of meat. Apart from its tail, there was nothing else on the double-tailed poisonous scorpion that was intact. Seeing Lorne so violent. The three of them were shocked. Who would have thought that this handsome boy would be so violent? ¡°Hello!¡± Lorne greeted them with a smile. They smiled when they saw Lorne greeting his mom. ¡°Hi.¡± This was the first time that Lorne had interacted with anyone other than mages apart from the people from the Magic Academy. Judging from their attire, the blonde beauty and the fleeing young man should be swordsmen, while the middle-aged man was obviously a Great Swordsman. He removed his sword from the Poisonous Scorpion¡¯s body and kicked the corpse a few more times. He cursed, ¡°F*ck, if it wasn¡¯t for the fact that I just got into a fight and didn¡¯t have time to rest, it wouldn¡¯t be your turn to be arrogant!¡± With that said, he walked towards Lorne with the sword in his arms and introduced, ¡°Dear Mr. Mage, thank you for your generous help¡¡± Hearing the middle-aged man¡¯s thanks, Lorne waved his hand indifferently. ¡°You¡¯re welcome. It¡¯s nothing.¡± He reached out and stored the Twin-Tailed Poison Scorpion¡¯s tail into his interspatial ring before introducing himself with a smile, ¡°You can just call me Lorne. By the way, why are you being chased by the Twin-Tailed Poison Scorpion?¡± The middle-aged man did not expect the young and powerful mage in front of him to be so approachable. It should be known that genius-level mages like them were usually very arrogant. In the past, he had seen a talented mage whose robe was dirtied by a swordsman. Although the swordsman apologized, the mage still did not let the swordsman off. A casual wind blade cut off that swordsman¡¯s arm. This scene shocked him quite a bit, so he had always been very respectful to mages. The frightened middle-aged man thanked them sincerely before introducing the three of them to Lorne. The middle-aged man was called Blumer Eddard, an adventurer from Sunset City. The golden-haired beauty beside him was his daughter, Irvine Aid. She was also an adventurer. As for the swordsman who looked like he came from a good family, Blumer was somewhat perfunctory when he introduced him. He said that his name was Durkelen and that he was an enthusiastic swordsman he had met on the way. From the look in his eyes, it could be seen that Blumer really hated this youth in front of him but he didn¡¯t show it. There must be a reason why he couldn¡¯t chase Durkelon away. After hearing Blumer¡¯s introduction, Lorne laughed in his heart. What kind of enthusiastic swordsman is this? He wants to woo your daughter, right? Otherwise, who would come to the Sunset Mountains for no reason? This place was so dangerous that they could lose their lives at any moment. More importantly, ever since they were safe. This swordsman¡¯s eyes had been staring at Irvine and he didn¡¯t seem embarrassed at all. ¡°Mr. Mage, we don¡¯t know why we¡¯re being hunted by a Twin-Tailed Poisonous Scorpion. We¡¯re here to hunt a Gale Wolf because it¡¯s a pack animal. We finally found a lone Gale Wolf and just killed him.¡± And then, a hint of a bitter smile appeared on Blumer¡¯s face. ¡°But just as we were about to go retrieve the corpse of the Gale Wolf, this Twin-Tailed Venomous Scorpion came running to attack us. More importantly, it was still chasing us in a group. We felt that something was off.¡± ¡°In order to fight against the Two-Tailed Poisonous Scorpion, I accidentally got injured. Durkelon had no choice but to bring us out of the forest. We were lucky to meet you in the end. Otherwise, we really wouldn¡¯t know what to do.¡± ¡°How unfortunate.¡± Lorne looked regretful but he turned to look at Durkelon. Lorne sensed a familiar scent from him and walked over. Seeing Lorne walking towards him, Durkelon tightened his clothes and said arrogantly, ¡°What are you doing?¡± Seeing that Lorne was closing in on him step by step, Durkelon could no longer maintain his arrogant posture. He took a few steps back. Then, he said timidly, ¡°What are you going to do? Let me tell you, I¡¯m a youth from the Koren family. If you dare touch me, I¡¯ll make sure you suffer the consequences when we get to Sunset City!¡± Lorne showed no fear in the face of Durkelon¡¯s threat. He took a green egg from Durkelon. When they saw the item that Lorne took out, the three of their expressions changed. This was because the egg that Lorne took out was the double-tailed poisonous scorpion. No wonder the Twin-Tailed Poisonous Scorpion would chase after the three of them. It turned out that he was the one behind it. Seeing this scene, Irvine was furious. ¡°So it¡¯s you! If it wasn¡¯t for you, my father wouldn¡¯t have been injured and we could have returned safely!¡± In the face of Irvine¡¯s anger, Durkelen quickly waved his hand and said, ¡°Irvine, listen to me. It¡¯s not what you think.¡± ¡°What¡¯s there to explain when there¡¯s concrete evidence? If it wasn¡¯t for you, would my father and I have almost died? It wasn¡¯t a difficult task to begin with. Because of your selfishness, we lost so much!¡± After venting her anger, Irvine knew that this Durkelon was actually such a despicable person. She originally had some admiration for the young master¡¯s willingness to be an adventurer. However, from the looks of it, he was just a selfish person. Durkelon wanted to explain himself but in front of the evidence, all explanations were useless. Durkelon could only glare fiercely at Lorne before he stepped aside. Lorne shrugged nonchalantly. He wasn¡¯t afraid of Durkelon. After all, he was a student of the academy. If Durkelon dared to attack him, it would be equivalent to attacking the entire magic academy. This was his backing, unless he found someone stronger than Lorne from the Magic Academy. However, Lorne only needed to release his mentor¡¯s name. He believed that his opponent would think twice.. His teacher had helped many students before. Chapter 21 Irvine saw Durkelon walk away. She started toward Lorne. ¡°Lorne, why are you in the Sunset Mountains? And by yourself.¡± Irvine blinked her large emerald eyes at Lorne. She looked very cute and playful, which was very similar to the first impression he gave Lorne. ¡°I came to the Sunset Mountains to train,¡± Lorne answered matter-of-factly. He was not too familiar with the adventurers and their daughter. Naturally, he would not reveal his identity. If he did so, he would be the one to suffer. There were some things that were inconvenient to tell them. Seeing Lorne¡¯s answer, Irvine did not ask further. She knew that Lorne had his reasons for answering this way. If she pressed on, it would only make Lorne feel disgusted with her. She was not the kind of lady who would act like a princess. In order to prevent Irvine from asking about his background again, Lorne took the initiative to find some topics to talk about. What they were talking about was not important. What was important was whether she would have the time to ask about his background. Lorne was very good at chatting. In his previous life, he was also an uncle and had seen many things. Lorne did not have to spend much effort to incorporate the pace of the conversation into his grasp. He told Irvine about the surprising events he had encountered in his previous life. Just based on the strange things in his previous life, as well as the movie plot, he could easily adapt it and deceive the young lady. Coupled with Lorne¡¯s witty and humorous eloquence, when he occasionally involved some professional knowledge, he would tell Irvine what Camet had given him. A powerful and mysterious sorcerer who was greedy for humor and fun. He was also very knowledgeable and strong. For a young girl like Irvine, part-time work was a great weapon. The blonde lowered her head as she walked along the path between the trees, listening to Lorne¡¯s magical observations and smiling from time to time. In the distance, Durkelon saw this scene as well. Seeing the two of them chatting happily, Durkelon felt as if he was being stabbed. The first time he saw Irvine in the Adventurer¡¯s Guild, he fell in love with this blonde girl with long white legs. That wild charm had an almost fatal appeal to the slightly cowardly Durkelon. For the sake of the beauty before him, Durkelon had used every means possible. This time, he even chased her all the way to the Sunset Mountains. He wanted to use this method to prove that he could also protect Irvine. Originally he had taken the egg of a double-tailed poisonous scorpion. Durkelon had wanted to give it to Irvine and confess to him. Unexpectedly, the Twin-Tailed Poisonous Scorpion caught up to them with the scent and they were unable to retaliate. When they were in danger just now, Durkelon wanted to save them. He almost felt like he was about to succeed. Soon he would be able to make Irvine his girlfriend. However, Lorne appeared at this moment. If it weren¡¯t for him, he would have been the one to save the father and daughter. The most intolerable thing was that the sudden appearance of this mage seemed to pose a threat to him. In the Twilight City, the Koren Family was known to every household. The Swordsman costume they wore was also a Senior Swordsman costume and had a very strong defense. Looking at Lorne, who was wearing a dirty magic robe, he looked like a poor mage. This made him look down on Lorne even more. Although Lorne had saved him just now, he did not feel that Lorne had saved him at all. After all, he had yet to make his move. If Lorne had not made his move first, he would have been able to display his prowess. This person must disappear! Dulkelon looked at Lorne¡¯s back and sneered. The group of four walked towards Sunset City with heavy hearts. Since Lorne came to this world, he had never seen what other cities looked like. This time, he had to go and play when he had the chance. At the same time, he could exchange the corpse of the monster in his spatial ring for money. This way, he would be able to advance from a poor man to a rich man. After all, he had quite a few corpses in his spatial ring. Before the sun set, everyone walked into a dense forest. According to Blumer, as long as they walked out of this dense forest, it wouldn¡¯t be long before they reached Sunset City. ¡°There¡¯s nothing we can do tonight. Let¡¯s make do here.¡± Blumer led the group forward with ease and soon they saw a cave. The cave was not deep. With just a torch, the entire cave could be seen. The surrounding stone walls also looked very dry. There were still traces of the bonfire on the ground. It wasn¡¯t just Blumer who often spent the night here. ¡°This is the place where I used to take risks and often come here to rest. Everyone can have a good sleep tonight. I¡¯ve stayed here dozens of times and have never encountered any danger.¡± After speaking, Blumer skillfully lit a bonfire, then instructed the long-legged beauty next to him, ¡°Irvine, there¡¯s a water source in the north of this dense forest. It¡¯s about a few hundred meters from here. Take the water pouch and bring some water back.¡± ¡°Okay, Dad.¡± As soon as the long-legged beauty made her move, Durkelon could no longer sit still. He stood quickly. ¡°I¡¯ll go with you.¡± Lorne noticed that Blumer didn¡¯t look happy when Durkelen chased after her. Of course, Lorne would not ask about such matters. He only smiled and started roasting again. ¡°Mr. Lorne¡¡± ¡°Just call me Lorne.¡± Lorne felt a headache coming on. He had mentioned this to Blumer many times on the way here. But Blumer was still addressing him as¡¯ sir ¡®, which made Lorne a little embarrassed. After all, he couldn¡¯t afford to be addressed as¡¯ sir ¡®. ¡°All right, Lorne. Is this your first trip to Sunset City?¡± ¡°More or less,¡± Lorne replied straightforwardly. ¡°I¡¯ve been training in the Sunset Mountains for a while now. I¡¯m going to the Sunset City to play since I¡¯ve never been there before.¡± ¡°I see. If you need any help in Sunset City, feel free to let me know. Our family has lived in Sunset City for decades and is no longer a small family.¡± Blumer was very enthusiastic but Lorne Que shook his head. ¡°I won¡¯t trouble you for now. When I arrive at Setting Sun City, I should go with you to the Adventurer¡¯s Guild. I¡¯ve killed quite a few magical beasts as well.¡± ¡°I¡¯ll go to the guild and exchange it for money. Then, I¡¯ll stay in Sunset City for a few days.¡± After hearing what Lorne said, Blumer still said warmly, ¡°If you need any help in Sunset City, feel free to come find us. If it weren¡¯t for you, we might have¡¡± Blumer was still unable to forget how Lorne had saved his life and the two of them continued to chat. Suddenly, Que heard a scream from afar. Blumer¡¯s face changed dramatically. ¡°Crap, something happened! That was Irvine¡¯s voice!¡± As he spoke, Blumer picked up his weapon and ran out of the cave. Lorne didn¡¯t dare to delay, immediately chasing after Blumer.. Chapter 22 The direction the voice came from was exactly where Blumer had said the water source was. ¡°Not good! Irvine has been captured by a monster!¡± Dulkelon said anxiously. He was the one who¡¯d gone out with Irvine. Now that Irvine had been caught, he¡¯d escaped. From this, it could be seen just how unreliable Durkelon was. Blumer had no time to care about Durkelon. He raced toward the water source with Lorne at his heels, leaving Durkelon to wallow in regret. If he hadn¡¯t run away just now and faced it with Irvine, he wouldn¡¯t be treated like this now. But his cowardice still overcame his courage. His speed of escape was truly fast. Lorne and Blumer didn¡¯t have time to worry about what he was thinking. They needed to get to the rescue of Irvine now. The most anxious of them all was Blumer. Irvinene¡¯s mother had died early and he had watched Irvine grow up. If something were to happen to Irvine, as a father, he wouldn¡¯t want to live anymore. It was as if he could sense Blumer¡¯s mood. ¡°It¡¯ll be alright,¡± Lorne assured him. ¡°Irvine will be alright.¡± Hearing Lorne¡¯s words of comfort, Blumer nodded. At the same time, he was thinking to himself, ¡°Irvine, nothing must happen to you!¡± At the same time, they quickened their pace and soon arrived at the lake. At this moment, the water bag was still on the ground. Other than the water bag, there were also some coconut balls on the ground. These things were not common. Lorne suddenly thought of a type of magical beast that liked to come out and play at this time. That was the unique magical beast that was exclusive to the Sunset Mountains. Sunset Gorillas, they often brought home strange or pretty things, just like bandits in the mountains. As long as it was something they liked, they would do anything to bring it home. At the thought of this, Lorne sighed. ¡°It¡¯s alright.¡± Hearing Lorne¡¯s words, Blumer asked curiously and anxiously, ¡°Mr. Lorne, what¡¯s fine? Did you discover something?¡± Lorne nodded. He didn¡¯t correct Blumer anymore. He said calmly, ¡°It should be the Sunset Gorilla.¡± Hearing Lorne¡¯s words, Blumer felt a stab in his heart because the Sunset Gorilla was a magical beast of the fifth or sixth rank. With his strength, he was no match for those magical beasts. How could he save his daughter? Wasn¡¯t that wishful thinking? Just as he asked himself that question, he looked at Lorne beside him. This mysterious and powerful young mage was the only chance he had to save Irvine. He knelt down in front of Lorne and said humbly, ¡°Venerable Lorne, please save my daughter. I only have one daughter. I really don¡¯t want anything to happen to her!¡± Looking at the man crying in front of him, Lorne¡¯s heart softened. He understood why this man was like this. Those parents weren¡¯t worried about their children. Irvine had been raised by Blumer as a father and mother. The father-daughter bond between them was very deep. Blumer cried out, ¡°As long as you can rescue Irvine, She will be your wife!¡± Hearing Blumer¡¯s words, Lorne wasn¡¯t happy at all. He hurriedly helped Blumer up. ¡°I will definitely save Irvine but the matter of her becoming my wife remains to be decided.¡± ¡°Moreover, the Sunset Gorilla has a common characteristic. They won¡¯t attack fresh things that they¡¯ve just caught nor will they eat them themselves or whatever. Therefore, I¡¯m certain that she is still safe for now. The most important thing now is to find the Sunset Gorilla¡¯s nest. Otherwise, there¡¯s no way to save Irvine.¡± While the two of them were talking, Durkelon arrived late. Seeing him coming over, Lorne asked without hesitation, ¡°Durkelon, did you see the black shadow that attacked you heading in any direction?¡± Durkelon, who had just walked over, heard Lorne¡¯s question and Blumer looked at him anxiously. He knew that his chance to show off had come. He carefully recalled what had just happened in his mind. After a while, he pointed in a direction and said, ¡°I remember now. The black shadow ran in that direction after abducting Irvine.¡± As soon as he said that, Lorne and Blumer ran in the direction he pointed. Now they had a general direction. As long as Lorne released his spiritual power, it would be easier to find the Sunset Gorilla¡¯s lair. Soon, they arrived at a desolate tree hole. From the forest in the distance, they could see that Irvine was hung on a net made of vines. The two Sunset Gorillas were playfully scaring Irvine. Irvine watched as they almost touched her. She was so frightened that she started crying. ¡°Wuwuwu, don¡¯t come over!¡± She kept slapping it with her hands but it didn¡¯t help. The Sunset Gorilla had seen that Irvine was so upset and crying. When they saw Irvine crying in the net, they laughed loudly and beat their chests as if they had encountered something happy. They laughed and rolled around on the ground. These magical beasts were the Dusk Mountain Range gangsters. They didn¡¯t do anything serious but they were very annoying. Back then, Camet had told him that if a beast did not beg for mercy when encountering such a magical beast, he should quickly kill it. If it begged and would never bother you again because magical beasts were afraid of being beaten but they were also very naughty. Seeing Irvine crying, the Sunset Gorilla jumped up happily as if it was playing with a toy. If it weren¡¯t for the fact that they were extremely powerful, Lorne and Blumer would have attacked long ago. When they saw that Irvine was not in danger, the two of them wanted to discuss how to rescue her. Just as the two of them were about to discuss, Durkelon ran over. He saw the few Sunset Gorillas in front of him lying on the ground in fear. ¡°Mon¡ monster! They¡¯re the ones who took Irvine.¡± Durkelon¡¯s voice was loud and the Sunset Gorilla looked in their direction when it saw someone. ¡°Shut your mouth!¡± The enraged Blumer slapped Durkelon on the neck and Durkelon felt his head hurt. Then, he fainted. It seemed that Blumer was truly angry. If he failed to rescue Irvine, he would definitely vent his anger on Durkelon. Every father would blame himself for failing to rescue his only daughter because of him. Seeing that the Sunset Gorilla had already discovered them, Lorne said to Blumer, ¡°Let¡¯s attack directly. Otherwise, when the Sunset Gorilla reacts, we won¡¯t have a chance.¡± Hearing this, Blumer nodded as well. Right now, the most important thing was to save Irvine. Everything else could be put aside for now.. Chapter 23 This group of Sunset Gorillas was also abnormal. They wouldn¡¯t kill humans if they captured them. They used a net to trap Irvine and throw mud on her. When she screamed, they laughed. After Lorne and Blumer saw this, they were speechless. The Sunset Gorilla was indeed worthy of being called the Dusk Mountain Range Rogue. They didn¡¯t do what demonic beasts were supposed to do. Now that the Sunset Gorilla had discovered them, the mud in their hands naturally wouldn¡¯t be thrown towards Irvine but towards Lorne and the others. It was good that Lorne and Blumer had dodged in time. Otherwise, they would have been the ones to suffer. But Durkelon wasn¡¯t so lucky. Before he could react, he was covered in mud from the Sunset Gorillas¡¯s attacks. The two Sunset Gorillas burst into laughter when they saw the mud-covered Durkelon. Durkelon dared to be angry but did not dare to say anything. When the netted Irvine saw who it was, she immediately shouted, ¡°Dad, Lorne, save me!¡± Hearing Irvine¡¯s anxious shouts, Lorne and Blumer no longer hesitated. Blumer picked up his greatsword and charged forward. ¡°Daddy, be careful!¡± Before Irvine could finish her sentence, Lorne suddenly heard a whooshing sound. Immediately afterwards, a muffled sound rang out. Blumer, who was charging at the Sunset Gorilla, didn¡¯t have the time to block with his sword. He was hit in the head by a flying coconut and passed out. ¡°Ga ga ga ga!¡± A coconut fell on the humans and the two Sunset Gorillas were even more excited. They even turned their butts around, laughing weirdly at Lorne while shaking their butts. With Blumer¡¯s lesson, it was naturally impossible for Lorne to charge toward them. He hurriedly found a large tree to cover himself. In case the Sunset Gorillas launched another sneak attack, Lorne hid under a large tree. Another fruit was thrown from the tree. ¡°F*ck!¡± Lorne never expected there to be a Sunset Gorilla on the tree. He quickly released his Magic Shield and looked at the Sunset Gorilla on the tree. The Sunset Gorilla grabbed onto the vines and swung around. It was furious that its sneak attack did not succeed. It took out another coconut and threw it at Lorne. Lorne summoned his Magic Shield again and blocked the Sunset Gorilla¡¯s attack. But the coconut thrown by the Sunset Gorilla was like a cannonball. If Lorne was hit, it could be said that there was no way out. It was a level six demonic beast. ?check They were very strong and even Blumer, a Great Swordmaster, had been knocked unconscious by a cannonball. One could only imagine how powerful the Sunset Gorilla¡¯s coconut shells were. If it hit Lorne, the mage, he had no idea what would happen. Seeing that Lorne was surrounded, Durkelon had no intention of rescuing him. He cursed in his heart, ¡°Hurry up and get rid of this kid! If I make a move again, Irvine will fall in love with me.¡± However, it didn¡¯t move in the direction Durkelon had thought. Right after using his Magic Shield to defend against the attacks of the Sunset Gorilla, Lorne counterattacked with wind blades. Although Lorne only knew elementary magic, it was dense. The power of the concentrated elementary magic was comparable to higher level magic. It easily cut the coconut thrown by the Sunset Gorilla into two. Seeing that its attack didn¡¯t have any effect, the Sunset Gorilla jumped in fright. Then, it shouted angrily, ¡°Hah!¡± The three Sunset Gorillas looked at each other and each came toward Lorne from a different angle. Fortunately, Lorne knew more than one defensive spell. He used his Magic Shield to protect himself. The Wind Shield and Ice Shield blocked all the coconuts thrown by the Sunset Gorillas. Seeing Lorne in danger, Durkelon laughed happily. ¡°That¡¯s right, that¡¯s it. Come on, Sunset Gorilla, get rid of this brat who doesn¡¯t know the difference between Heaven and Earth. When you¡¯re tired of fighting, I can go save Irvine.¡± Durkelon thought to himself. He was hoping that both sides would fight to the death. At the end, he imagined himself striking and defeating them then holding Irvine with one sword toward th sky and one foot on Lorne. Irvine¡¯s father then begged him to marry his daughter and the thought of his superior appearance made Durkelon laugh with joy. Just as he was fantasizing, one of the Sunset Gorilla¡¯s coconuts hit the ground and missed Lorne¡¯s Magic Shield. Instead, it headed in the direction of Durkelon. Upon seeing this, Lorne kindly reminded him, ¡°Durkelon, be careful!¡± ¡°Huh? What?¡± Before Durkelonl could react, he looked up and only saw a black object before it smashed into his head. Then, he blacked out and fainted. Seeing this, Lorne shook his head helplessly. It seemed that he would have to fight alone. He did not have time to check on Durkelon¡¯s injuries. This group of gorillas was especially quick-witted. They did not only attack Lorne with coconuts. They also showed their webs used to block Lorne¡¯s magic, as well as their bodies as Level Six magical beasts. Currently, Lorne really couldn¡¯t do anything to them. His wind blades shot towards the Sunset Gorilla like a machine gun. Lorne¡¯s magic power seemed to be inexhaustible. He constantly threw out wind blades and icicles. Naturally, the Sunset Gorillas did not stop. In the dark, Kalmad was also very surprised to see this scene. While Lorne used magic to defend himself, he used magic of different elements to counterattack. What sort of monster was he? He had lived for so many years, yet he had never seen someone with such talent. If it was an ordinary mage, their mana would have exhausted and they would have been knocked unconscious by the Sunset Gorillas. ¡°Those damn gorillas!¡± Lorne cursed while panting heavily, thinking about how to defeat the Sunset Gorillas. The Sunset Gorilla was simply too abnormal. It was a Level Six magical beast and both its strength, speed and defense had reached a terrifying height. There was also that huge net in front of them that was like a sturdy shield. When the incomparably sharp wind blades shot over, they actually couldn¡¯t even cut through a single vine. He really didn¡¯t know how the group of Sunset Gorillas managed to weave them into a net. It was really irritating Lorne. Seeing that Lorne did not attack, the Sunset Gorilla thought that he was afraid, so it began to cackle in the tree. Lorne looked over. The coconut that was about to be thrown by the Sunset Gorilla had been gathered by another gorilla. Upon seeing this scene, Lorne felt his head swell. If he didn¡¯t get rid of the giant net today, he would probably be eaten alive by the Sunset Gorillas. Wait, giant net! A bold thought suddenly occurred to Lorne. He felt that his method was feasible. After all, he was highly educated. He knew how to handle these things.. Chapter 24 At that moment, the Sunset Gorilla launched another attack. The coconuts shot out like cannonballs. When it was attacking him, Lorne used Wind Escape and Magic Shield to resist frantically. With his current magic power, resisting these things was very simple. Although Lorne was fine, the Magic Shield in front of him was getting crushed. Bang! Bang! Bang! Lorne felt his scalp go numb as he listened to the sound. ¡°I¡¯ll risk it,¡± Lorne thought, and began to show what he had just thought. He dispersed the wind blades and used only a little of the ice element¡¯s energy to form a cold wind. The icy blue wind was like a Sunset Gorilla defending its net and froze the water in the vines. Before long, the green defensive net turned blue. The strange vine that had lost its moisture was no longer as tough as before. Lorne threw a wind blade at it. The net shattered like ice. ¡°I¡¯ve broken your annoying green net. Let¡¯s see if you can still laugh!¡± The Sunset Gorilla, which was still laughing hysterically, changed its expression. They shouted angrily but the freezing wind had not only frozen the huge net. There were even coconuts piled on the ground, frozen. The Sunset Gorillas could no longer think of throwing like before. Without the protection of the huge net and the attacking methods of the coconuts, the Sunset Gorillas began to cry out anxiously. Lorne didn¡¯t care. He picked up the vine in his hand and lashed out at the Sunset Gorillas. Even the powerful Sunset Gorilla was afraid of the green vine¡¯s whipping. The Sunset Gorilla, which had lost its way of attack, was whipped to the ground by Lorne. ¡°I told you to hit me with a coconut!¡± Lorne cursed as he huffed. ¡°How dare you laugh at me!¡± ¡°I told you to kidnap Irvine!¡± ¡°I¡¯ll let you draw circles on Irvine¡¯s face!¡± ¡ At the sight of Lorne¡¯s brutal side, Irvine shivered in her net. She hadn¡¯t expected this side of Lorne but when he heard Lorne speak for her. Her expression changed again. She was looking at the devil. It was as if she wasn¡¯t looking at her savior, her eyes were full of caution.?check After venting his anger, Lorne tied the three Sunset Gorillas to one side. The three Sunset Gorillas were begging to Lorne pitifully. ¡°Be quiet!¡± Lorne shouted angrily. Hearing his shout, the three Sunset Gorillas didn¡¯t dare to say another word and just laid quietly on the ground. After dealing with the Sunset Gorillas, Lorne came to Irvine and froze a small piece of the net that was wrapped around her with the freezing wind. Then, he used a wind blade to open a hole in the net and Irvine fell through it. Lorne caught her and held her like a princess in his arms. Because of the screams of the Sunset Gorillas, Blumer and Durkelon, who were knocked unconscious, had already woken up. After waking up, Blumer saw that Lorne had already saved Irvine, with the tied-up Sunset Gorillas beside him. He also felt relieved. As long as Irwin was fine, he couldn¡¯t say anything. Seeing Irwin¡¯s red face, Blumer revealed a gratified smile. It seemed that Irvine had taken a fancy to Lorne but this guy next to him was a problem. As he thought about it, he turned to look at Durkelon. Durkelon, who had just awakened, watched as the woman he loved was held in Lorne¡¯s arms. Their intimate behavior seemed to be slapping his face, making him feel as if his face was being roasted by flames. ¡°Damn it, if it wasn¡¯t for the Sunset Gorilla knocking me out, I would have been the one who saved Irvine!¡± ¡°This commoner actually dares to snatch her from me. Just wait, I¡¯ll definitely make you pay!¡± ¡°And Irvine, after all the time I¡¯ve been chasing you, hasn¡¯t reacted at all. Now that you have been rescued by a commoner, you are starting to fall for him. I¡¯m going to make you regret it.¡± Durkelon clenched his fists. He couldn¡¯t beat Lorne. He could only resent it. If he jumped out now, he would be the one to be slapped in the face and killed, so he had to calm down. If he exposed himself now, Lorne would kill him here, even if the family eventually found out. However, Lorne¡¯s background was unknown. If there was someone behind him, he would be in trouble. At this thought, he put down his clenched fists. This was not his place. When they reached Setting Sun City, he would teach Lorne a lesson, even if he was no match for him. However, as the heir of the Kerr family, it would not be a problem to let his guards attack Lorne. Now was not the best time for revenge. He chose to endure. When Blumer looked at him, he was smiling at Blumer. It was as though everything in front of him was just a passing cloud. Seeing his expression, Blumer didn¡¯t say anything, only nodding slightly. Then he ran toward Lorne and Irvine. Seeing Blumer run away, Durkelon clenched his fists tightly. ¡°If it weren¡¯t for that stubborn old man, Blumer, I might have already lived a shameless life with Irvine. Just you wait, I¡¯ll definitely make you regret it!¡± No one paid any more attention to Durkelon after Lorne saved Irvine. Blumer came to Irvine¡¯s side and coughed lightly as he looked at Irvine, who was blushing in Lorne¡¯s arms. ¡°Ahem, are you alright, Irvine?¡± Hearing her father¡¯s voice, she immediately reacted. She broke from Lorne¡¯s embrace hurriedly and said to Blumer, ¡°Father, thanks to Lorne, I¡¯m fine.¡± After answering Blumer¡¯s question, Irvine turned around and bowed to Lorne. ¡°Brother Lorne, thank you for saving me just now. If not for you, I don¡¯t know what would have happened to me.¡± As Irvine spoke, she fell against Lorne¡¯s chest, as if she¡¯d just been wronged. Only Lorne¡¯s chest gave her a sense of security and he could feel a hint of warmth from Irvine¡¯s body. Lorne gently touched her shoulder and comforted her softly. ¡°It¡¯s alright. I¡¯m here. I¡¯ll protect you.¡± In Lorne¡¯s arms, the shy Irvine replied softly, ¡°Yes.¡± Her voice was as soft as a mosquito, as if she was a little kitten. Seeing how intimate the two of them were, Blumer didn¡¯t want to disturb them but right now, there was someone who did want to disturb them. ¡°Uncle, it¡¯s getting late. We should go back and rest.¡± It was Durkelon who spoke, of course. Hearing his words, Irvine broke shyly from Lorne¡¯s embrace. Blumer nodded as well. ¡°It¡¯s getting late. Let¡¯s go back and rest.¡± Looking at Blumer¡¯s questioning gaze, Lorne nodded. ¡°Okay but I need to deal with the Sunset Gorillas first. We can leave later..¡± Chapter 25 After hearing what Lorne said, no one said anything. After all, the group of Sunset Gorillas was defeated by him alone. These spoils of war should be taken by him alone and now it was not good for Durkelon to touch his items. Instead, he said flatteringly, ¡°That¡¯s right. Brother Lorne¡¯s magic is so powerful. These things should belong to you alone.¡± Lorne glanced at him and didn¡¯t say anything else. Blumer and Irvine looked at him strangely. Seeing this, Dulcor realized how inappropriate his words had been. He smiled awkwardly at the group, because he was so disgusted with Lorne that he couldn¡¯t do anything about it. That was why the words that were meant to be a compliment had a different meaning to them. It seemed like they were mocking Lorne. Lorne walked towards the tied up Sunset Gorilla. Seeing Lorne walking over, the three gorillas begged for mercy. They looked like they had something to say. Lorne untied one of the gorillas and the three of them were shocked to see what he was doing. ¡°Lorne, what are you doing?¡± Lorne didn¡¯t answer Durkol¡¯s question. He released the vines on the Sunset Gorilla. The tied-up Dusk Gorilla jumped up and pointed to where it lived. Lorne looked where it pointed and saw something glowing in the tree hole. He walked forward curiously, but just in case, he released his magic shield. Seeing Lorne¡¯s expression, Blumer nodded in approval. It was right to be so cautious. If the Sunset Gorilla had tricked Lorne, with the protection of the magic shield, Lorne would not be afraid. Lorne was the only one who could defeat the gorilla. If anything happened to him, it wouldn¡¯t be a good outcome for the three of them. Durker laughed disdainfully but didn¡¯t say anything. He only dared to complain in his heart, ¡°This Lorne is too cowardly. He¡¯s only looking at the tree hole, and he actually wants to use a magic shield.¡± His disdainful gaze was naturally not noticed by the crowd. After all, he needed to hide himself now. He could only wait here quietly with Blumer and the others for Lorne to return. After opening his magic shield, Lorne walked towards the tree hole of the Sunset Gorilla and looked inside. It turned out to be a golden ring with a blue-white staff beside it. Lorne could sense powerful wind and ice elements from the staff. He picked up the golden ring first and checked the contents. What surprised him was that this ring did not have any restrictions. It was also named after two points. Firstly, the ring wasn¡¯t very important. Secondly, the owner of the ring was already dead. Lorne¡¯s consciousness entered the space inside the ring. He realized that the items inside were all treasures. There were also some precious medicinal ingredients, such as the Snow Sun Flower and the Lava Tree. There were also corpses of magical beasts, not just Class 6 Magical Beasts, but also Class 8 Magical Beasts and Triangular Dragon corpses. Looking at the items in the ring, Lorne was elated. He was rich! If he could get the magical beast in the ring to help him, he could earn tens of thousands of Purple Coins, which was equivalent to millions of gold coins. By then, he could buy whatever he wanted. As he thought about it, Lorne placed some precious herbs and strange gems into his Spatial Ring. Lorne was prepared to turn this Golden Ring into a ring that he specially stored the corpses of magical beasts. But what he did not notice was that after he moved all the gems out, the red on the golden ring flickered slightly. After settling the ring, Lorne looked at the blue staff again. When he picked up the staff, he felt that his body was filled with the power of the wind and ice elements. It was as if his affinity with these elements had reached a whole new level. Lorne, who felt his physical strength increase, waved the staff. A blue blade shot out and hit a tree in the distance. The tree instantly froze. Then, it shattered like an ice pillar. Seeing the enhancement brought by the staff, Lorne smiled happily. Seeing the magic that Lorne had released, Blumer was very surprised. He hadn¡¯t expected that Lorne¡¯s magic had advanced to a new level. The trees that he had used magic to knock down were not ordinary trees. It was one of the rare Glorious Stone Trees in the Sunset Forest. It was hard to tell what these trees were. However, the middle of the tree was especially black and the tree¡¯s entire body was tougher than Glorious Stone, hence the name Glorious Stone Tree. If Lorne had not shattered the entire tree, he would not have known that it was a Glorious Stone Tree. After all, the Glorious Stone Tree was black except for its core. Other places were no different from other trees. This also proved that the power of Lorne¡¯s magic had risen to a new level. Lorne naturally felt this as well. If he had fought against the Sunset Gorilla earlier, he would have been able to easily defeat it. If he had this blue staff in his storage, he could have easily dealt with the green vines and the three gorillas. He would not be as embarrassed as before. Afterward, Lorne touched the staff in his hand again. ¡°That¡¯s right. Since you have the ability to strengthen the wind and ice elements, I¡¯ll name you the Storm Staff.¡± Looking at the magic staff in his hand, Lorne nodded in satisfaction. In the future, not only would he be able to use wind magic but he would also be able to cultivate ice magic like a fish in water. After taking care of this place, Lorne used a wind blade to attack the other two Sunset Gorillas, causing them to be dumbfounded. They thought that Lorne was going to kill them, so they ran over to block the wind blade. Seeing the wind blade pass by him, everyone was dumbfounded. The Sunset Gorillas were dumbfounded as well. They had fought with so many humans before, so what did they not see before? Today, they actually saw magic turning on its own. It had an automatic tracking system. The wind blades didn¡¯t kill the other two gorillas but cut off all the green vines on them. Lorne¡¯s wind blades were no longer the same as before. They could easily cut through the green vines and no longer needed to be frozen. Dumbfounded, the Sunset Gorillas stared at Lorne without saying a word. After the two Sunset Gorillas behind the Sunset Gorilla were released, they jumped up happily while howling. Feeling the voice behind him, the dumbfounded Sunset Gorilla turned around and saw that its little friends were all fine. They hugged each other happily. When he turned back to look at Lorne, he was already walking towards his team.. Chapter 26 Watching the mysterious man leave, the Sunset Gorilla waved at them. It seemed to be bidding farewell to Lorne and the others but it was actually thinking to itself, ¡°This demon king has finally left. It was too scary.¡± At the thought of Lorne, they felt that the scars on their bodies were becoming painful. Thinking of how Lorne had whipped them, they trembled in fear. Lorne left with them after he finished tidying up. Durkelon asked curiously, ¡°Great Wizard Lorne, are you just going to let these three Sunset Gorillas go?¡± The Sunset Gorilla was a Level Six magical beast. If he killed it and brought it back, he could exchange it for quite the sum of money. If Lorne hadn¡¯t obtained the golden ring, he might have done so. However, after obtaining the golden ring, Lorne did not think so. After all, he had enough money now. Furthermore, without their guidance, Lorne really wouldn¡¯t have known about these things. It seemed that the next time they went to the lair of magical beasts, they would have to search through their homes. Otherwise, if he lost something good, he wouldn¡¯t even know what it was. If he gave it to someone else, wouldn¡¯t he lose money? ¡°That¡¯s right. I¡¯ve already earned enough today. There¡¯s no need to kill for money,¡± Lorne said calmly. Blumer nodded in satisfaction. It was rare to see children of such high quality. Not wantonly killing for money, not as greedy as others. Seeing this scene, Durkelon cursed inwardly. The Sunset Gorilla was very valuable. Lorne let it go just like that but he didn¡¯t dare to say anything. Otherwise, he was afraid that Lorne would attack him. When the time came, they would bring his corpse back to Sunset City. In his heart, Lorne was such a person. After all, he had dismembered the magical beast the first time he saw Lorne. To him, this was something only a vulgar person would do. ¡°They bullied Irvine. We should kill them.¡± After thinking for a while, in order to smear Lorne¡¯s name in Irvine¡¯s mind, he said this. Irvine was a little unhappy to hear this. Why was Durkleon like this? She still wanted to build a good relationship with Lorne. She was going to become his wife in the future. Now was the time to show her ability to the outside world. ¡°If you can¡¯t talk, Durkleon, then don¡¯t. Brother Lorne did the right thing. Did the Sunset Gorilla hurt me?¡± Irvine glared at Durkelon angrily. This person in front of her wanted to ruin her intimate relationship with Lorne. She had to be on Lorne¡¯s side unconditionally. That was the only way to avoid Lorne hating her. As she spoke, Irvine stepped forward and hugged Lorne¡¯s arm, constantly shaking it. ¡°Brother Lorne is so kind. I like kind boys the most,¡± said Irvine coquettishly. She didn¡¯t care about her father at all. Blumer was watching them as well. Blumer didn¡¯t say anything. After all, he wanted the two of them to become husband and wife. What he saw in Durkelon¡¯s eyes was different. He felt targeted. When he had tried his best to please Irvine, he had always interfered. Now that there was a country bumpkin magician, Blumer treated him as his son-in-law and didn¡¯t even care about Durkelon. At the thought of this, Durkelon was especially angry but he could only endure it. Along the way, Irvine and Lorne talked and laughed. After all, Lorne was very funny. And she knew about some love stories. Irvine laughed enough to turn especially red. She hit Lorne¡¯s body and said, ¡°Annoying!¡± Seeing Irvine like this, Blumer felt that this was a bit too much. Most importantly, what she had just said had indeed given everyone goosebumps. Irvine apparently realized her mistake too. She stuck out her tongue in embarrassment and stopped talking. For a moment, the air was quiet and everyone felt a little awkward. ¡°Ahem, Lorne, where are you planning to go after you arrive at Sunset City?¡± To Blumer, dealing with this sort of matter was extremely easy. But to his surprise, Lorne didn¡¯t reply. They looked curiously at him to see what he was doing. Lorne realized what was going on. ¡°Sorry, I was thinking about something and got distracted.¡± Lorne said in embarrassment. Irvine, who was beside him, was unhappy to hear this. ¡°Brother Lorne, I¡¯m beside you. How can you be distracted?¡± Irvine said unhappily to Lorne with a pink face. ¡°Sorry, I was thinking about something just now, so I didn¡¯t hear what you guys said.¡± Lorne said as he stroked Irvine¡¯s head. Lorne, who was nearly 1.9 meters tall, was very close to the 1.7 meters tall Irvine. The two of them stared at each other and Irvine thought Lorne was going to kiss her, so she closed her eyes. After waiting for a long time, Lorne did not come into contact with it. ¡°Irvine, we have to return to Sunset City soon.¡± Blumer and the others had walked quite a distance away. Seeing that Irvine hadn¡¯t caught up with them, he called out to her. Hearing her father call her, Irvine ran over and said to Lorne with a red face, ¡°Brother Lorne is such an idiot!¡± With that said, she ran forward and ignored Lorne. Lorne scratched his head in embarrassment. After walking for about two hours, they arrived at a main road. At this moment, Blumer spoke out. ¡°Let¡¯s follow this path. Soon, we¡¯ll reach Sunset City.¡± His words were mainly for Lorne to hear. After all, he had brought him so far. These words gave Lorne a sense of assurance. He couldn¡¯t let Lorne follow them back without knowing anything. The four of them walked along the main road. Occasionally, carriages ran out of the city. It was either the coachman greeting Blumer or the carriage driver greeting Blumer. It was as if many people recognized them. There were also some descendants of nobility who wore gorgeous clothes. They¡¯d see Irvine and ask a few good questions and they¡¯d make fun of Durkelon for putting himself in such a sorry state. Durkelon was obviously not afraid of their rebuttal. ¡°Are you guys still babies? Why don¡¯t you bring your mother along with you? Useless!¡± After saying that, Durkelon pointed his middle finger. He wanted to let the other party understand that not everyone could bully him. Indeed, there was no sound from the other side. At that moment, Lorne also discovered another side of him. So this kid was only afraid of magical beasts. His mouth was still poisonous.. Chapter 27 As they got closer and closer to Sunset City, the originally silent Durkelon became more talkative and confident. After all, he had come to a place he was familiar with. This place was not far from his family. ¡°Venerable Lorne, please be a guest at my house when you arrive at Sunset City. I¡¯ll treat you well.¡± On the way to Sunset City, Durkelon bowed confidently to Lorne. This time, he was not as humble as before. His eyes were filled with confidence. Although his tone was humble, his eyes were filled with pride. It was as if he was talking about something amazing. Before Lorne could reply, Irvine spoke first. ¡°No need. I¡¯ll take Brother Lorne to walk around the Sunset City.¡± ¡°Also, your family lives in the suburbs of Sunset City. It¡¯s not convenient to walk. It¡¯s better to let Brother Lorne live with me in Sunset City.¡± Irvine said and glared at Durkol with her beautiful eyes, making him embarrassed. Durkelon could only blush and remain silent. After all, he was quite introverted. He just felt that a country bumpkin like Lorne would not know what this city was. It was obvious that he was from the countryside. He just had some magical talent. After all, he didn¡¯t have anything valuable on him. Having figured this out, Durkelon said, ¡°In that case, I¡¯ll go with you. Irvine, if you like anything, I can help you pay.¡± Hearing him say that, Irvine began to get angry. ¡®What¡¯s wrong with Durkelon?¡¯ This guy was picking on me, wasn¡¯t he? Didn¡¯t he understand that she wanted to date Brother Lorne? ¡°No thanks. Who wants to spend your money?¡± Irvine said, rolling her eyes. She really wanted to kick Durkelon out of here right now and avoid this man always wanting to be her third wheel. ¡°Brother Lorne, let¡¯s go!¡± To prevent Durkelon from catching up with her, Irvine said this and pulled him along as if they were in the city. This left Durkelon at a loss on what to do. Blumer naturally didn¡¯t care about these things. He shouted at Irvine and informed her. Then, he went to the Adventurer¡¯s Guild to submit his mission. Only the bleeding Durkelon remained where he was, not knowing what to do. ¡°No, I can¡¯t let Lorne snatch Irvine away just like that. I¡¯m going to chase her back!¡± With that thought in mind, he chased after her and wanted to pull Lorne towards Sunset City. She thought that Durkelon would go back after being scolded by her but she did not expect that not long after he would be chasing them. Then she heard Dulcor¡¯s voice again. ¡°Irvine, wait for me! I¡¯ll go with you!¡± Hearing his shout, Irvine wanted to pull Lorne away from him. Lorne naturally wouldn¡¯t dodge. He gently said to Irvine, ¡°Irvine, I know you want to ask him for help but you can¡¯t do this. Watch how I treat him!¡± At Lorne¡¯s words, Irvine looked at him curiously. She wanted only Lorne to be prepared to use the divine method. Let Durkelon, the annoying fellow, give up his hold on them. After all, Lorne was so smart and Durkelon was so stupid and he didn¡¯t have any sense. She had already told him to leave just now but he actually caught up with her. How annoying! Seeing Lorne and Irvine stop moving, Durkelon thought Irvine had figured it out. Only by bringing them along to walk around the Sunset City would he be able to show off his skills. It was unknown how confident he was. As soon as he reached the two of them, he pulled Irvine¡¯s hand away from Lorne¡¯s. But Swordswoman Irvine was stronger than Durkelon. He wanted to separate them. But no matter how hard he tried, he could not pull them apart. ¡°What are you doing?¡± Irvine scolded as she looked at the two of them. ¡°Um, I¡ª¡± Lorne also felt that the two of them were being serious and he used the wind element magic to separate them. After a short while, he pushed Durkelon away and the battle of strength between the two of them ended. However, Lorne only felt that his hand was extremely painful. At this moment, Irvine also noticed this scene. Lorne was a mage after all, so he naturally could not withstand the battle between two swordmasters. She immediately picked up Lorne¡¯s hand and blew on it. ¡°Hu, hu, hu, I¡¯m sorry, Brother Lorne. I accidentally hurt you.¡± Irvine blew out an apology. She was sorry for her reckless behavior. But it was all because Durkelon had come to separate them. It was all his fault. At the thought of this, Irvine hated Durkelon even more. If it wasn¡¯t for him, Lorne wouldn¡¯t have been injured. It was such a small injury. He could only blame himself for being careless and not realizing this. Otherwise, this scene wouldn¡¯t have happened. Thinking of this, he began to blame himself. Durkelon ran over and glared at Lorne. ¡°What¡¯s going on? Why are you pushing me? And let go of her hand!¡± ¡°Who are you? Who are you talking to? Why should I let go just because you said so?¡± Irvine, who had no intention of paying attention to Durkelon, heard him reprimand Lorne. For a moment, the flames that had been angered by him erupted and she spat at Durkelon. Hearing Irvine¡¯s words, Durkelon was stunned. What was going on? Irvine had stopped to wait for him. Why was she saying this now? At this moment, Durkelon had no idea what his mistake was. ¡°Brother Lorne, let¡¯s go. Why should we bother with him?¡± Irvine said with distaste but she still used a coquettish tone. If an ordinary boy heard this, he might not be able to handle it. For a promising young man like Lorne who had lived two lifetimes. He naturally did not care about such things. After all, he was very old. ¡°I thought you were going to treat us to some shopping, Durkelon? Let¡¯s go together, shall we?¡± Lorne smiled. Upon hearing his words, Durkelon thought that his Kerr family name had frightened him. He raised his head, puffed up his chest and said to Lorne, ¡°Now you know how important I am!¡± In the face of Durkelon¡¯s words, Lorne smiled and said, ¡°Alright, you can go ahead. After all, we still need your protection.¡± With that said, Lorne made a gesture for Durkelon to enter. It was as if a spoon had been bent. He was originally very tough and sharp. Right now, he was bowing and bending his knees. If he didn¡¯t do this, he wouldn¡¯t be able to live. Durkelon began to laugh as well. It seemed that this mage had a good eye. ¡°Then follow me!¡± With that, Durkelon led Lorne and Irvine toward the restaurant. After all, they had traveled for such a long time. It was time for them to have a good rest.. Chapter 28 Durkelon led Lorne and Irvine to the best restaurant in Sunset City. In the Sunset Restaurant, there were many people coming and going. Some adventurers were drinking and bragging. It was very lively. Some rookies had just completed their mission and came to have a meal to congratulate themselves on completing their first mission successfully. The noisy first floor made Lorne, who newly came to this world, feel it for the first time. This world was different. He looked at this group of people laughing and discussing. He had this dream when he was young. He wanted to become a mage or a warrior and venture into the mysterious forest. As soon as Durkelon entered the restaurant with the others, he caused a discussion. One was the eldest young master of the Kerr family and the most beautiful adventurer, Irvine. The two of them brought a stranger to Sunset Restaurant. It was a shock. After all, both of their identities were extraordinary. This made them curious about Lorne¡¯s identity, especially the heir of the Coulomb family, Young Master Du Er. They looked at Durkelon¡¯s humble face, something they had never seen before. The effect that Durkelon had on them was that he was a young swordsman who had no ability but was very arrogant and ignorant. Now, there was actually a humble side to him, which made everyone even more curious about Lorne¡¯s identity. It was mainly because Lorne was too young. Could he be the Young Master of some large family? Durkelon was after Irvine and now he saw someone with her. But he actually didn¡¯t utter a single word of complaint, leaving them greatly shocked. What they didn¡¯t know was that it was all because of Irvine. Durkelon¡¯s humility was shown to Irvine and also because he didn¡¯t dare open his mouth to say that their movements were intimate. Now Irvine had a good feeling about Lorne. If Durkelon opened his mouth to reprimand them, it would only make Irvine dislike him. He figured that out now. He had to show his advantage and make Lorne feel inferior. In this way, Irvine would finally see that Lorne was just a poor mage. And he, Durkelon, was the richest man in Sunset City and the last hope of the Kerr family. Because of these factors, he had to perform well. He could not let Irvine¡¯s impression of him worsen. ¡°Be careful, Irvine. The steps here are quite high,¡± said Durkelon in a tone that he thought was quite gentle. But Irvine ignored his kind reminder. Irvine felt annoyed when she saw him. Why did this person insist on pestering her? He wondered if she understood Lorne? If Lorne hadn¡¯t said there was a way to cure Durkelon, they wouldn¡¯t be here. Right now, all she had in her eyes was Lorne to even care about Durkelon. However, Durkelon did not care about this. After the three of them reached the second floor, a waiter came over with the restaurant menu. He bowed to the three people sitting down and introduced, ¡°Whatever Young Master Durkelon wants to eat is all here.¡± The waiter pointed at the dishes on the table and waited for him to order. He took notes at the side but he did not even dare to breathe loudly. His last colleague had accidentally offended Durkelon and was beaten up and thrown out by his underlings. In the end, the waiter was fired by their manager. He could not be like that person. If he got fired, he wouldn¡¯t know what he could do. He was a child from a poor family. He did not have the money to cultivate. He came to the city to work as an adult. At this moment, he had already seen through this dark society. He had to live humbly. While waiting, he glanced at Lorne. The person in front of him was about the same age as him and his clothes were somewhat tattered. Why did Durkelon treat him so well? And Sunset City¡¯s prettiest girl, Irvine. She was actually very intimate with him too. He felt that Lorne was himself at this moment. This was the life he had dreamed of. The person in front of him, who was about the same age as him, had actually fulfilled his dream. Lorne also noticed the look in the waiter¡¯s eyes but he could feel it was one of envy. He didn¡¯t mean him any harm, so he didn¡¯t pay much attention to him. Instead, he turned his attention to the menu. At first, Durkelon wanted to order his own food. But he looked at Irvine, who was sitting across from him. He handed her the menu. ¡°Irvine, you can order whatever you like.¡± Durkelon offered. Irvine accepted the menu without hesitation. She looked at the dishes on it and felt that they had all been eaten before. But thinking about it, it seemed to be Lorne¡¯s first time here. She handed the menu to Lorne and smiled. ¡°Brother Lorne, see if you have anything you¡¯d like to eat. You can order.¡± Upon hearing this, Durkelon laughed disdainfully in his heart. ¡°Does this country bumpkin know what he should order? He better not order cheap dishes when the time comes.¡± Durkelon thought but he could not show it. Otherwise, she would definitely refute it. After all, she liked Lorne now. He could only show his excellence after Lorne embarrassed himself. He wanted to let Irvine see what kind of person he was. ¡°Sure, thanks Irvine.¡± Lorne took the menu naturally and looked at the dishes inside. ¡°Then let¡¯s order a Blazing Palm, Ice Snow Rabbit Meat, Sunflower Vegetable Soup and some wine. It¡¯s not too expensive. The Monkey Wine brewed by the Sunset Magic Monkey will do.¡± Lorne said confidently. Although he didn¡¯t know if the dishes were delicious, he knew that they must be expensive. Although he did not know the cooking method and price of the dishes, he ordered them according to the level of the magical beasts. The Blazing Palm was a magical beast of the eighth rank. It was extremely powerful and its entire body was covered in flames. Ordinary hunting teams would not be able to defeat it at all. There was also the Snow Rabbit Meat. Although the Snow Rabbit was not very strong, its ability could merge with the snow. It could escape thousands of miles in an instant and was very difficult to catch. And it was a magical beast of the sixth rank. There was no need to mention the wine brewed by Sun Blossom and Sunset Magic Monkey. Sun Blossom grew on the edge of the volcano. Normally, it would bloom on its own and with the protection of a high-level fire magical beast, it was very difficult to obtain. The Sunset Magic Monkeys were different from the Sunset Gorillas. They usually formed groups. As long as you provoked one, nearly a thousand monkeys would stare at you until you died. They would not let you go either. The Sunset Magic Monkey was a terrifying magical beast. Most senior-rank mages and swordmasters could not do anything to it. After ordering these dishes, Lorne looked at Durkelon again. His face was already extremely dark.. Chapter 29 Durkelon would only order one of the dishes that Lorne ordered every time he brought his friends here. He just had to try it. After all, these dishes were really expensive. However, he did not expect Lorne to order all the expensive dishes the moment he arrived. He had wanted to see him make a fool of himself but now his purse was about to be drained dry. However, after thinking about it, he realized that this was also an opportunity for him to showcase his wealth. Irvine would definitely understand that he was the one who could bring her happiness. The waiter listened to the dishes Lorne ordered. Although he noted each one, he was still afraid to leave. Instead he looked inquiringly at Durkelon. Feeling his gaze, Durkelon frowned slightly. ¡°What are you looking at? Hurry up and prepare the kitchen.¡± The waiter quickly replied, ¡°Okay, please wait for a moment. I¡¯ll arrange the kitchen to prepare it.¡± With that said, he ran away. He did not want to stay here for even a minute. It was too terrifying. One was a hidden expert, one was arrogant and despotic and the other was a great beauty from Sunset City. These three people were simply a strange trio. As soon as he went downstairs, an adventurer asked curiously, ¡°Xiao Li, do you know the background of the person you have seen up there?¡± The waitress called Xiao Li shook his head. ¡°I don¡¯t know either but they ordered the Blazing Palm and Snow Rabbit Meat. I think their identities are extraordinary.¡± After Xiao Li answered, he hurriedly went to the kitchen to report the dishes. After all, these were for the three of them. He naturally didn¡¯t dare to neglect them. Hearing Xiao Li¡¯s reply, everyone was surprised. The Blazing Palm couldn¡¯t be ordered so easily. Even those rich young masters had only ordered one of them. Today, the three most expensive dishes were all ordered by that person. Could it be that this mysterious man had some extraordinary identity? This made the adventurers even more curious about Lorne¡¯s identity. Who was he? On the second floor, Lorne was secretly competing with Durkelon. ¡°I thought that Young Master Durkelon thought that my order was too expensive and wanted to order a new one. I didn¡¯t expect Young Master Durkelon to be so rich.¡± Lorne said with a smile. His words seemed to imply that Durkelon was rich. In reality, they were mocking him for being a fool who had wasted so much money. He could still smile and be with them. Most importantly, he seemed to be very happy. Durkelon was quite proud to hear what Lorne had to say. Raising his head, he raised his eyebrows and said to Lorne, ¡°Of course. Why don¡¯t you ask around in Sunset City? Everyone knows how rich I am.¡± As Durkelon praised himself, he didn¡¯t forget to show his poise. He smiled and said to Irvine, ¡°As long as Irvine is happy, it¡¯s worth it no matter how much money I spend.¡± But Irvine had no intention of looking at him. She was still staring at Lorne. Was this the legendary brain of love? As long as she fell in love with the other party, no matter what the other party did, Lorne would be the best in her eyes. However, hearing what Durkelon said inspired Irvine. ¡°Yes, as long as Brother Lorne is happy, so is Irvine.¡± Irvine smiled sweetly and looked at Lorne with her chin on her hand. Lorne looked at Irvine and smiled. He saw the sea of stars in her eyes. Looking at her twinkling eyes, he had a desire to protect this woman for life. It was as if she was his future and his goal in coming to this world. The two of them just stared at each other, causing Durkelon to gnash his teeth in anger. Watching his woman show affection to another man was undoubtedly the most hurtful thing for him. Fortunately, the waiter, Xiao Li, walked over with the Blazing Palm Bear Meat. Beside him was a middle-aged man with a big belly. The middle-aged man walked as his stomach went up and down. It was as if there was a water bag in his stomach. He walked over with a smile and greeted Durkelon. ¡°Young Master Durkelon, why are you in the mood to come to my small place for a meal today?¡± Seeing the boss smiling, Durkelon did not dare to make light of him. The boss in front of him wasn¡¯t here because of his identity. He was his father¡¯s good friend. ¡°Uncle Mo Lun, you must be joking. I brought two of my friends here for a meal and will be leaving soon. How can I disturb you?¡± Durkelon smiled and shook his head. Mo Lun seemed to be looking for him but he was actually looking at Lorne from the corner of his eyes. He had learned about this stranger who had appeared in Sunset City from the discussion of the adventurers below. He needed to figure out what kind of family Lorne was from. Although his business was very big in Sunset City, however, if he were to leave Sunset City, Mo Lun knew that his so-called wealth was merely a leaf outside. Compared to the real merchants of the continent, he was nothing. He was just a boss who did business in Sunset City. ¡°Young Master Durkelon, you must be joking. May I know who this person beside Irvine is?¡± As the boss of the Sunset Restaurant, Mo Lun was very shrewd. He seemed to have come for Durkelon. In fact, his target was Lorne. Naturally, Lorne also noticed this. He wanted to know how Durkelon would introduce himself but Durkelon wasn¡¯t as bad as he thought. He smiled and said to Mo Lun, ¡°This is a friend of Irvine and also my friend. His name is Lorne and he is a powerful mage.¡± Listening to Durkelon¡¯s introduction, Mo Lun could not help but wonder where this person came from. Although he had never been too far away, he had never heard of the name Lorne. Durkelon deliberately refused to tell him his surname. Was he afraid that he would find out about his family? The boss was deep in thought. Seeing his boss in a daze, Durkelon knew that he had already stumped Mo Lun. However, he only smiled and looked at what Mo Lun was about to do. He did not say much. After all, he really did not know what Lorne¡¯s surname was. Let Mo Lun guess. Seeing that his boss was hesitating, Xiao Li gently touched him. Mo Lun finally reacted and smiled awkwardly. He had just fallen into deep thought. ¡°Alright, you guys go ahead and eat first. I have something to do, so I¡¯ll head over first. Xiao Li, take good care of them.¡± ¡°Okay, boss.¡± Then he hurried down the stairs. Durkelon wanted to laugh when he saw Mo Lun¡¯s sorry state. However, after taking a glance at the service staff, Xiao Li held back. But Xiao Li still noticed this and did not say anything. He only served the dishes on the table.. Chapter 30 After placing the dishes on the table, he bowed to the trio and said respectfully, ¡°The three of you can eat first. I¡¯ll bring the other dishes up.¡± After saying that, the waiter Xiao Li went downstairs. Bowing was something they had to do every time the waiter spoke. After the waiter left, Durkelon resumed his seat. He thought about Lorne¡¯s introduction and said, ¡°That middle-aged man might look fat but he¡¯s actually the richest man in Sunset City. It¡¯s not just this shop¡¡± The reason why Durkelon had told Lorne about Mo Lun¡¯s identity was that he wanted Lorne to identify himself as soon as possible. The richest man in Sunset City. Even when Durkelon came here to eat, he would personally greet him. ¡°What about you? You¡¯re just a commoner. How can you compare to people from big families like us? Lorne did not take Durkelon¡¯s words seriously. So what if he was really the richest man in the world? It was just a little money. Living in this dangerous world, money was only a part of it. Most importantly, his own strength had to be strong. At this moment, Durkelon could sense Lorne¡¯s thoughts. In this world, money was only a part of what was needed. Then, he started to introduce Mo Lun¡¯s strength. ¡°Don¡¯t be fooled by Mo Lun¡¯s fat body. Think of him as a genuine Great Swordmaster. His famous move is the Dancing Sword. I heard that he even killed a dragon of the seventh rank¡¡± Durkelon was talking about eyebrows raising matters but Lorne didn¡¯t seem impressed. No matter how strong the opponent was, he was a mage. It was not difficult to defeat him. A mage¡¯s control skills were far superior, such as Instantaneous movement. Unless you were a swordsman with a special heritage. They would not be able to defeat them. This was also why in this era, magic was so bad. And so many young people chose magic because it was so powerful. However, if one could still learn swordsmanship after learning magic, it would not affect either. However, there was no Swordmaster Division in Lorne¡¯s school. They were the purest magic school and also the place that all mages desired to go. As Durkelon spoke, the dishes that Lorne ordered were quickly served. However, he was still talking about the heroic deeds of Mo Lun. ¡°Brother Lorne, come eat this,¡± said Irvine as she placed the fattest meat of the Blazing Palm Bear, the paw into Lorne¡¯s bowl. Durkelon, who was speaking, saw this and didn¡¯t want to say anything. He also picked up his cutlery and started eating. He had paid for these dishes. He could not sacrifice so much money to help Lorne understand the difference between them. Most importantly, these ingredients could also enhance cultivation. Lorne could feel his body warm just by taking a bite of the bear paw meat. The fire element in his body began to increase and the system¡¯s voice sounded. [The Host ate the bear paw of the Blazing Palm Bear. Fire-type cultivation progress increased by 50%] Upon hearing this voice, Lorne started eating again. He did not expect the Blazing Palm Bear to have such an effect. Looking at Lorne who was eating like crazy, Irvine knew that he must have discovered the use of these things. ¡°Brother Lorne, eat slowly. Don¡¯t rush. These are all yours.¡± As she spoke, she brought over the food that Durkelon was eating. Seeing this scene, Durkelon was dumbfounded. ¡®Why? I paid for it myself but I can¡¯t eat it?¡¯ He was about to get angry but Irvine fixed him with that murderous stare. He instantly cowered like a little bird, unable to move. Irvine saw him like this and nodded in satisfaction. ¡°That¡¯s more like it. You can eat after Brother Lorne is done eating. Do you understand?¡± There was nothing Durkelon could do in the face of the powerful Irvine. ¡°Irvine, you¡¯re just doing this because I like you¡¡± ¡°I¡¯m sorry,¡± said Durkelon, aggrieved but Irvine was not willing to hear that. ¡°Fine, you can leave. I¡¯ll pay for it, alright? Look at how cowardly you are!¡± Irvine scolded. Durkelon shook his head quickly at Irvine¡¯s words. ¡°Don¡¯t, Irvine. I was wrong. I won¡¯t say another word. Whatever you say.¡± Irvine nodded with satisfaction at the sight of Durkelon¡¯s face. He was not a small girl. A man couldn¡¯t conquer her unless that man was the man she liked. Otherwise, she would not have followed Lorne like a little bird. Lorne, on the other hand, unceremoniously ate the food. However, he realized that the effects of eating too much were still the same. He looked at Irvine next to him, thought for a moment, then pushed the Blazing Palm Bear back to her. ¡°Irvine, don¡¯t starve yourself. It¡¯s not good for your health. Eat more.¡± ¡°I¡¯m sorry,¡± Lorne said gently. Listening to his words, Irvine accepted the food shyly. After thanking him shyly, she lowered her head and started eating. The sight of Irvine, whom he had thought to be a tough tomboy type, becoming so ladylike made Durkelon uncomfortable. Could it be that love could make people not like him? Or was this the face mask that Irvine was supposed to wear? Was her past toughness used to protect herself? With this in mind, Durkelon fell into deep thought while Lorne didn¡¯t think too much about it. He just decided that Irvine was cute, beautiful and treated her like a sister. Although he could also feel that Irvine liked him, he really didn¡¯t have that kind of feelings for her. Hence, he ate his own food. After eating the Sun Blossom, the density of his fire element had increased again. There was a vague trend of surpassing the wind element. One had to know that the wind element was one of the elements that Lorne had been focusing on during this period of time. Now that the fire element was about to surpass it, Lorne decided to come here to eat when he had nothing to do. When the time came, he would order these things. However, he wanted to see how much these things were worth. After eating, Durkelon called the waiter over and took out his spatial ring to pay. ¡°Waiter, pay!¡± Xiao Li ran over and he said respectfully, ¡°Young Masters and ladies, what can I do for you?¡± ¡°Help me calculate how much these cost.¡± Durkelon appeared nonchalant but his heart was bleeding. [160] Because this dish wasn¡¯t cheap, when the waiter calculated the result, he knew how much blood he was going to lose today.. Chapter 31 The waiter told Durkelon what he remembered from his notebook. ¡°Young Master Durkelon, you have spent a total of 100,000 Gold Coins this time. Do you want to pay by card or cash?¡± The waiter smiled and Durkelon almost fainted. He had spent half a year¡¯s worth of pocket money. He really didn¡¯t expect it to be so expensive. One gold coin was the annual expenses of an ordinary family. In other words, Lorne and the others had spent a hundred thousand years worth of an ordinary family. However, Durkelon was still able to afford it. He painfully took out a hundred Purple Coins from his Space Ring. Seeing the Purple Coins, the waiter¡¯s eyes widened in shock. He had never thought that Durkelon would be so generous. One had to know that Purple Coins were extremely rare. Most importantly, it could be used to assist in cultivation. The waiter had never seen so many Purple Coins in his life. But it was as if Durkelon had the right to throw them on the table. Actually, what the waiter didn¡¯t know was that Durkelen himself felt sorry for himself. But in order to show that he was very wealthy, he had to do this. Although he felt terrible, he could not slow down his movements. Otherwise, it would be very easy for others to see through his flaws. Only now did he react. He thought he had been tricked by Lorne. He was supposed to be here to treat Irvine to dinner. Not to mention the fact that he had brought Lorne with him, it was still his order. He didn¡¯t even mention the dishes he had ordered. He still paid for them himself. Not only did he pay for it himself but he also ate the least. How infuriating! But when he thought of this, he was the one who had the least say. He was afraid that Irvine would be angry with him over these things but if Lorne still wanted to screw him later, Durkelon had already thought of a counterattack. Didn¡¯t he want him to pay for it? Back then, he had said that he was spending money for Irvine, not for Lorne. Now, he was willing to pay for this meal. ¡®I¡¯ll teach you a lesson later!¡¯ Durkelon thought fiercely. He had to take revenge. After the waiter processed the transaction, the three of them left the restaurant. The trio¡¯s departure inevitably led to some discussion. Their main target was still the mysterious Lorne. The food they ordered was very expensive. No one knew who paid for it. When the waiter came down, everyone immediately surrounded him. ¡°Xiao Li, who paid them just now? It¡¯s so much money but they only had one meal.¡± ¡°That¡¯s right, Xiao Li¡¯s meal is worth at least tens of thousands of Gold Coins, right?¡± ¡°Was it the mysterious person who paid for it? Or was it Dulcoron?¡± Faced with everyone¡¯s questions, Xiao Li said calmly, ¡°Wait a minute, I¡¯ll pass the money to our boss first. I¡¯ll tell you later.¡± After hearing what Xiao Li said, no one stopped him. After all, this meal was indeed quite expensive. It was normal for him to want to return to his boss. A middle-aged man stood on the table and shouted, ¡°Here we go!¡± Following the uncle¡¯s voice, a group of people began to bet but most of them were optimistic that the mysterious person had paid. After all, they knew very well what kind of person Durkelon was. Right now, only Lorne¡¯s identity was unknown to them. Because there were two men, no one wanted to bet on Irvine, so his odds were naturally the highest. However, there were also people who were holding on to the possibility that it might be Irvine. No one could say for sure but she was the one who had suppressed Lorne the most. After all, Durkelon was a very stingy man. No one wanted to press him. At this moment, the waiter who had arrived at Mo Lun¡¯s office had no idea what was going on outside. After handing over the 100 purple coins to Mo Lun, he didn¡¯t feel anything when he looked at the Purple Coins. He knew the price that he had set. ¡°The boss¡¯s 100 Purple Coins were paid by young master Durkelon. The mysterious person and Irvine left very intimately and Young Master Durkelon followed behind them.¡± After listening to the water¡¯s report, Mo Lun nodded with satisfaction. ¡°You may leave.¡± ¡°Yes, boss.¡± ¡°Wait, remember that there are some things that can be said and some things that cannot be said.¡± ¡°Understood.¡± The waiter respectfully pushed open the door and walked out. Just as he reached the main hall, everyone surrounded him again. While waiting for his answer, the waiter smiled and said, ¡°Young Master Durkelon paid 100,000 Gold Coins this time. Are you satisfied now?¡± Some were disappointed while others were happy. ¡°Those who bet on Durkelon are rich. The rest are gone.¡± As the result was announced, some people went to collect the money while some returned to their seats in disappointment. The middle-aged man who started the game earned quite a bit of money which made him very happy. Luckily, he reacted quickly enough to open this plate. No matter who paid, he would still earn. Thinking up to this point, he thought to himself that he was really too smart. Then, he silently left. When he arrived at a dark corner of the restaurant, he saw a group of men in black talking to each other. Seeing him come over, everyone bowed to him and said, ¡°How¡¯s the investigation? Is that person a mage from the Magic Academy?¡± The man pondered for a while, then frowned slightly. ¡°It¡¯s hard to say. We really can¡¯t be sure. After all, we¡¯ve never seen him fight before and we don¡¯t know his strength either.¡± The man sighed and told them to look for the most talented mage from the Allison Academy. Wasn¡¯t this making things difficult for them? The man in black nodded slightly and didn¡¯t say anything. They also knew that it was indeed very difficult to find. They only knew that the person had come here. He did not know where he went in the end nor what he looked like. The only thing he knew was that he had extraordinary magical talent. ¡°Then keep an eye on it. Call us when you have news.¡± The leader of the men in black instructed the middle-aged man. Then, he disappeared with the people beside him. The man shook his head helplessly. Then, he changed his clothes and walked on the streets. At this moment, Lorne and the others, who had just come out of Sunset Restaurant, were strolling along the streets. There were stalls set up here. Some bought magic tools, clothes, rare medicinal herbs and materials from the body of a magical beast. Lorne was dazzled. He had seen most of these things in books. Apart from being amazed, there were no other emotions, like some magic supplement potion. He had no use for the Blood Replenishing Medicine at the moment. He only needed to buy some defensive types. Along the way, Irvine accompanied Lorne to pick and choose.. Chapter 32 Durkelon gritted his teeth as he watched the two of them be intimate before him. He spent his money and even asked him to stay by the side. Most importantly, he could not defeat Lorne/Luo En. The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. However, there was nothing he could do with Lorne. However, if Lorne was to buy something expensive later. ¡®I¡¯ll slip away when the time comes and see how the penniless Lorne reacts,¡¯ thought Dulcoron. When he saw the Health Potion in Lorne¡¯s hand, he paid the money without hesitation. Then, he smiled and said to Lorne, ¡°Don¡¯t mention it. I said that as long as Irvine is happy today, I¡¯m willing to spend any amount of money.¡± Upon hearing his words, Lorne did not stand on ceremony and put the Health Potion into his ring. Although he didn¡¯t really need it, what if he needed it in the future? He didn¡¯t think too much about it and put it into his storage ring. Seeing his actions, Durkelon smiled. From his point of view, Lorne had taken the bait. As long as he let his guard down, the greedy him would definitely buy more things. When the time came, he only needed to use the power of public opinion to crush Lorne and make him leave Sunset City. This way, he would have achieved his goal. After leaving the Sunset City, he would go through his own persuasion. He believed that Irvine would eventually return to his embrace. He smiled happily at the thought of that scene. When Irvine saw him laughing foolishly, she went over and slapped his eyes. ¡°Lorne has already picked something. Are you going to pay? If not, I¡¯ll pay.¡± At Irvine¡¯s reminder, Durkelon reacted and came out of his fantasy. He smiled awkwardly and walked over. After paying, Durkelon thought about taking Lorne to the next shop. Everything in the next shop was enchanted and Lorne had discovered Durkelon¡¯s ruse. When they reached the second store, Lorne only picked up the items and looked at them. He did not buy anything. Durkelon watched anxiously from the side. He kept saying to himself: ¡°Quickly buy it, quickly choose one!¡± As he thought about this anxiously, he prepared to slip away slowly. When he saw Lorne wanting to buy something, Durkelon didn¡¯t hesitate and disappeared from the Magical Equipment Shop. Irvine saw that Lorne had something he wanted and was just about to shout for Durkelon to pay. However, she realized that he was nowhere to be seen. She was momentarily confused. ¡°Lorne, Durkelon seems to have run away.¡± Irvine reminded Lorne carefully, afraid that he would be angry. Lorne smiled and shook his head. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, this thing is useful to me. I have money to buy it.¡± Lorne did not intend to buy it but when he picked up the magic artifact, the system notification sounded. [Host¡¯s Element Enhancement Device, all magic upgrades speed up] Upon hearing this prompt, Lorne was pleasantly surprised. It was another item that could increase his physical attributes. He glanced at it. The item was a little expensive but it was still affordable for Lorne. They arrived at the counter of the Magical Equipment Store. Before they could start paying, a voice came from the crowd. ¡°They don¡¯t have the money to buy it. Be careful and don¡¯t let it get stolen!¡± After this voice was heard, a group of people surrounded Lorne and Irvine, afraid that they would escape. Durkelon, who was hiding in the shadows, laughed happily. He did not expect Lorne to fall into his trap so quickly. Indeed, he was smarter. This was Durkelon¡¯s assessment of himself but what he didn¡¯t know was that Lorne wasn¡¯t without a penny. He held the magic artifact in his hand and naturally handed the money to the shop assistant. It was as if the voice just now wasn¡¯t shouting at him at all. Everyone was stunned. ¡°Who is it? Why are you shouting?¡± ¡°That¡¯s right, why are you shouting for no reason!¡± ¡°Tsk, I thought that there was really someone who dared to take the magic artifact without spending money. It turns out that it was the same person who went crazy.¡± Everyone was talking but Lorne left with Irvine. He hurriedly chased after them as he watched them leave. Irvine asked curiously, ¡°Durkelon, where did you go just now? Lorne saw a magic artifact but you weren¡¯t there. I thought you escaped.¡± Hearing Irvine¡¯s words, Durkelon laughed sheepishly. ¡°I¡¯m sorry, Irvine. As you know, everyone has three urgent matters to attend to. I went to the toilet just now. I¡¯m sorry.¡± Hearing him say this, Irvine said nothing more but Lorne, who knew the truth, did not bother to expose him. He was counting on another wave of Durkelon¡¯s plans to come. Just as everyone was about to continue strolling around, a tall and burly man with small wounds all over his muscles appeared. The man walked over to Durkelon and picked him up. Dulcoron was happy too. ¡°Duellen, why are you back?¡± ¡°Hahaha, brother, grandpa assigned me a mission. He wants me to bring you to an auction.¡± ¡°What auction?¡± Durkelon asked curiously. Duellen whispered something in Durkelon¡¯s ear and Durkelon shook. Then, he said to the two of them, ¡°I¡¯m sorry, Irvine. I have something to take care of there. I can only accompany you till here today.¡± Hearing their conversation just now, it was likely that they were going to some auction. Lorne had originally wanted to go to the auction to sell what he had obtained from the Storm Ring. He would auction it off. Otherwise, it would not be easy to deal with it. ¡°Alright, then you should go. Brother Lorne and I will go shopping alone.¡± As she spoke, she hugged Lorne¡¯s arm and said intimately, ¡°Brother Lorne, no one will disturb us from now on. Let¡¯s go shopping.¡± Lorne didn¡¯t say anything and Durkelon, for urgent reasons, followed suit with a grunt and walked away. Durkelon still had his judgment when it came to important matters, if not particularly important ones. He definitely wouldn¡¯t do that. With this in mind, he decided to let Irvine take him to the auction house to take a look. It just so happened that he was going to auction off a little something, too. Lorne thought about stroking Irvine¡¯s head. He said softly, ¡°Irvine, I have something to do at the auction house. Can you bring me there?¡± Hearing Lorne¡¯s words, Irvine¡¯s smiling face instantly fell. Seeing that Irvine was unhappy, Lorne hurriedly coaxed her and said, ¡°Don¡¯t be sad. When this is over, I¡¯ll take you to have some fun.¡± Hearing Lorne¡¯s words, Irvine was very happy. ¡°Alright, since Brother Lorne said so, I¡¯ll take you there.¡± Irvine smiled sweetly and took Lorne¡¯s hand as they walked towards the auction house.. Chapter 33 After several turns, they walked through a few more streets. The two of them finally arrived at the Sunset City Auction House. Basically, the first shop opened in Sunset City was named after the setting sun. It was also because of this reason that any shop with Sunset¡¯s name would definitely be a century-old shop. Of course, some of them were used to deceive others. How someone was not deceived depended on their own ability. If someone like Lorne came here himself, he might really be deceived. But Irvine had grown up in Sunset City and was extremely familiar with this place. Lorne, on the other hand, was a despicable foreigner. The two of them had just joined forces to give Durkelon a beating. Now that he was going to the auction house, he might meet those two people. However, they did not know this. Before entering the auction house, Lorne took out the mask from the Storm Ring. One was blue and white, while the other was snow-white. He and Irvine put them on. Then, they walked inside. Their defeat was not eye-catching in the auction house. Many people who came to the auction usually did this. These people usually felt that the items they auctioned were very valuable. That was why he did that. Soon, a receptionist walked over and said respectfully to the two of them, ¡°I wonder if the two of you are auctioning or participating in the auction?¡± Lorne said indifferently, ¡°I have some things that I need to entrust to the auction house but I don¡¯t know if it will work if I want to participate in the auction.¡± ¡°Sir, you can do it. We don¡¯t have strict requirements for these things here. May I know your name?¡± The waiter smiled. For the auction house, it was much safer for them to raise the price themselves. If he were to raise the price himself, if the price was too high, it would be equivalent to Lorne smashing his own hands. If they were the ones who asked someone to raise the price, they would not only have to pay Lorne a sum of money if the item did not sell in the end. He still had to buy the item at the auction price. This made people feel very uncomfortable. It had to be said that these tricks had long been played out by the auction house. ¡°Alright, then I¡¯ll auction off my things first. You can call me Mr. K.¡± ¡°Alright, Mr. K, please follow me.¡± The waiter made an inviting gesture and led the two of them deeper into the auction house. Lorne, on the other hand, was considering auctioning those items. Their Storm Ring contained the flesh of some high-level magical beasts. There were also some Advanced Staffs and even Advanced Magic Books. The main thing was that he did not know how much money he would need to buy the item he wanted for this auction. While they were thinking, the waiter brought them to a small room. An old man was already waiting in the room with a female companion beside him. She was feeding the old man and he seemed to be enjoying himself. Seeing this scene, the waiter did not say much. After all, the other party was his superior. He could only introduce him to Lorne and Irvine. ¡°Mr. K, this old man is the most determined person here. His name is Kamozi.¡± Lorne nodded and said, ¡°Master Kamozi, when can we start?¡± If it was an ordinary person, he would be afraid that the other party wouldn¡¯t recognize the things he took out. However, the person in front of him seemed to be very capable, daring to work. With a woman on duty, he looked extraordinary. If he was just idling around, the auction house would have chased him away a long time ago. However, he was still alive and well. This also proved that this Kamozi in front of him was truly capable. Lorne was also very generous to him. Hearing Lorne¡¯s words, Kamozi was obviously surprised. In the past, he only needed a client. Seeing him like this, he immediately wanted to change. Of course, he also wanted to try but he ran away in anger. He did not expect this young man to be so neither arrogant nor rash, he couldn¡¯t choose him just like that. This surprised him greatly. However, he would not change his way of doing things so easily. After pushing the woman beside him away, he smiled and said to Lorne, ¡°If you have anything you want me to appraise, take it out earlier. Let¡¯s not waste our time.¡± The woman beside him walked away naturally after being pushed away. Lorne did not stand still any longer and handed the arm of the Primeval Flame War Ape to the elder. When the old man saw what Lorne brought out, his expression changed. His mouth was so long that it could fit an apple and his eyes were filled with disbelief. ¡°You¡ you¡¡± For a moment, the old man could not even speak smoothly. At this moment, the thing brought him an extreme shock. After a long while, the old man finally recovered from his shock. ¡°Why do you have the arm of the Primeval Flame War Ape? It¡¯s an ancient mutant!¡± One had to know that the Primeval Flame War Ape was the overlord of this continent 10,000 years ago. Even if it was an infant left behind, its strength was comparable to a magical beast of the ninth rank. If the body of this kind of magical beast was made into food and eaten, it would definitely increase the constitution of the body to a new height. Not only that but it could also increase the body¡¯s affinity with fire elements. This was something that many fire mages dreamed of. ¡°You don¡¯t have to care how I got it. Just check if this thing is real. I hope to auction it off as soon as possible.¡± Actually, Lorne did not know the true use of this thing but he had the entire body of the Primeval Flame War Ape. It shouldn¡¯t be a problem to sell an infant¡¯s arm. Seeing that Lorne was going to auction, the old man jumped up excitedly. ¡°I can confirm that your item is real. There is no problem with the auction but I suggest that you hire a professional appraiser to tell us the function of this item.¡± Looking at the old man in front of him, Lorne understood that he wanted to recommend him. ¡°Alright, as long as you can sell this item for a high price, I can make the decision to give you 1% of the profits.¡± Lorne said with a smile. The arm in front of him was just the arm he felt was the weakest and least powerful. Naturally, he did not care. Therefore, it was not a big deal even if the old man in front of him gave him one percent. Upon hearing Lorne say that, the elder laughed. ¡°Seeing how generous you are, I¡¯ll give you the next item for free. If it¡¯s auctioned, I¡¯ll introduce it to you personally. It¡¯s also free.¡± After all, since Lorne said so, he could not be too petty. He could only help Lorne as much as he could. Lorne laughed. He did not expect the old man to say that. However, if he knew what he was about to take, he wouldn¡¯t say that.. Chapter 34 Then, Lorne took out the remaining two items. A piece of metal and a purple poison sac. The iron block shined brightly, the entire iron block was like a mirror in the sky. He could even feel the energy of the universe around the metal block. The elder was not prepared at all. He thought that it would be extraordinary if Lorne could take out the arm of a Primeval Flame War Ape. Now that he saw the metal piece, he was even more shocked. ¡°Little friend, is this the Heaven Raising True Steel?¡± This time, even the old man was unable to determine whether the item was real or fake. It was something like the Heaven Raising True Steel. It wasn¡¯t easy to find a blacksmith here. Forging himself a sword or the handle of a wand. The key was that this piece of metal needed to be forged using the Heavenly Nine Forging Technique in order to succeed. Ordinary blacksmiths would not be able to forge it. This was also the reason why the old man could not be sure if this item was real or fake. From the looks of it, there was no doubt about it. However, it was hard to say. If one of them was cheated, the one who would suffer the final loss would be their auction house. Seeing the old man frown, Lorne nodded. ¡°I can confirm that this is indeed Heaven Raising True Steel.¡± This was the feedback from the system after he checked it with the system. [This item is real. It can only be forged using the Heavenly Nine Forging Technique.] Seeing the system notification, he could confirm that the item was real. Upon hearing Lorne¡¯s affirmative tone, the old man hesitated for a moment before taking out the gloves he used to appraise items. He began to enchant the Heaven Raising True Steel, examine it and attach his magic to his hand. Stroking the metal block, the old man nodded in satisfaction after ten minutes. ¡°That¡¯s right, looks like it¡¯s true.¡± After confirming that the metal piece was real, the old man looked at the purple poison sac again. The purple poison sac flickered with different types of lightning, dazzling everyone. The elder took a quick glance and confirmed that the poison sac was real. ¡°I¡¯ve been fortunate enough to have seen the Thunderlight Jade Poison Beast¡¯s poison sac before. Your finished product is even better. It should be an eight grade, right?¡± The old man smiled at Lorne. Lorne nodded. After getting Lorne¡¯s confirmation, the old man called the waiter over. ¡°Next, bring them to the auction venue. I¡¯ll be there shortly.¡± ¡°Alright, Elder Yan. Please follow me.¡± The old man¡¯s current attire was obviously not suitable for introducing Lorne¡¯s auction items on stage, so he had to go back and prepare. The waiter brought the two of them to the auction venue. On the way, Irvine was very curious. She really wanted to ask Lorne where he got such a powerful item. Irvine had never even heard of it. Lorne had actually been carrying those treasures. On the way, Lorne had obviously noticed that Irvine was looking at him curiously. He took Irvine¡¯s hand and stroked it. He was telling her that he would tell Irvine when they left the auction. Irvine blushed when she felt the warmth of Lorne¡¯s palm. She was clearly embarrassed but she let Lorne stroke her. The waiter soon brought them to the auction venue. After arriving here, Lorne very naturally let go of his hand that was holding Irvine¡¯s. The waiter brought them to a private room where two girls were already waiting. When they saw him, the two girls walked to his side and hugged him. Feeling the fragrance coming from the sides, Lorne was stunned for a moment before pushing the two girls away. The two beauties had long blue hair and blue eyes. Staring at people with watery eyes and seeing how people looked at them. Lorne said to the waiter, ¡°I don¡¯t need them. You can let them go. I have a female companion.¡± Hearing Lorne¡¯s words, the waiter signaled and the two blue-haired girls walked out with their heads lowered. It had to be said that the two girls¡¯ fragrance was really refreshing. But Lorne did not need such mental support. He sat down with Irvine. The waiter told Lorne the function of the room and the number plate was placed in front of them. If he wanted to raise the price, he just had to raise his card. 1,000 to 1,000 Purple Coins was enough. The 1 Purple Coin here represented one Purple Coin. Thus, one could increase the price by one thousand Purple Coins at a time. This was the highest amount, if one wanted to increase it. The waiter told them everything and left. As soon as the waiter left, Irvine and Lorne heard a familiar voice. ¡°I¡¯ll add a hundred Purple Coins!¡± Hearing the voice, Irvine and Lorne looked at each other. The voice naturally belonged to Durkelon. At this moment, he saw a gemstone necklace and wanted to take a photo of it and give it to Irvine. She would definitely like it. After all, this gemstone necklace was not just beautiful. And with the ability to protect the wearer, Lorne naturally saw why Durkelon wanted to buy. Without another word, he took out a blue and white necklace from his ring and put it on for Irvine. This was Love of Snow. If the wearer suffered fatal damage, they would be protected by ice. Moreover, it could heal the injuries inside the body. Ordinary Sword Masters couldn¡¯t break through the defense. Irvine was very happy to see Lorne suddenly give her the necklace. She tapped Lorne¡¯s cheek, then ran shyly to the side. Lorne shook his head. ¡°This little lass is still so shy.¡± Then, he looked at the auction house. At this moment, Durkelon was still happy about the blue gem. He pulled the woman beside him into his arms and enchanted her. He smiled and said, ¡°Duellen, what exactly did my grandfather want us to buy? When the time comes, you can bid. I want to be happy first!¡± Without waiting for Duellen to reply, Durkelon began to busy himself. With a ripping sound, he tore open the woman¡¯s clothes. Then he pressed her under him and began to kiss her lightly from her breasts. The two of them were soon engaged in a heated battle. Duellen shook his head helplessly when Durkelon looked like this. Irvine and Lorne also heard the commotion over there. Irvine¡¯s face grew redder as they followed the sound. It was actually Durkelon¡¯s room. This made Irvine, who already hated Durkelon, hate him even more. Indeed, his Brother Lorne was the best. He would not be easily tempted by beauty. Only such a man was worthy of being her lover. With that thought in mind, she looked at Lorne lovingly and wondered when he would open his mind. ¡®Sigh¡¯, she couldn¡¯t help but sigh at the thought of this.. Chapter 35 The two of them waited for a while. Soon, the person in charge of the auction changed. He became the old man who was appraising things for Lorne. Seeing this, Irvine said in surprise, ¡°Brother Lorne, it¡¯s time for your auction item.¡± Lorne nodded as he looked at the elder. He wanted to see how the elder was going to introduce his Primeval Flame War Ape arm. Lorne himself wanted to know what the effect was but it was most likely to increase the power of the fire element. The old man on the stage said, ¡°Hello everyone, I am Yan Wudao from the Sunset Auction House.¡± As soon as his introduction ended, the entire venue was in an uproar. ¡°I didn¡¯t expect it to be Elder Yan.¡± ¡°That¡¯s right. He¡¯s the most powerful appraiser in the Sunset Auction House. He doesn¡¯t usually take action.¡± ¡°I wonder what it is that can make Elder Yan auction personally.¡± ¡°I¡¯m looking forward to it. I hope you won¡¯t disappoint me.¡± ¡°Young Master Durkelon, he¡¯s on stage. Is something about to appear?¡± Duellen said to Durkelon, who was resting beside him. Durkelon shook his head. ¡°No one but us knows what it is, so don¡¯t worry.¡± After listening to Durkelon, Duellen was relieved. Other than them, no one else might be able to tell what they wanted. After all, only the inheritors of the thunder family could tell. ¡°Looks like everyone knows my identity. Everyone must be curious about what it is that can make me go on stage.¡± ¡°I won¡¯t waste my breath here. I¡¯ll go straight to the first treasure, the Poisonous Sack of the Lightning Jade Poison Beast!¡± As soon as Yan Wudao finished speaking, a blue lightning bolt appeared on the auction stage. The poison sac in the box flickered with electricity, making everyone very excited. ¡°Heavens! It¡¯s actually the Thunderlight Poison Beast¡¯s poison pouch! That thing is priceless!¡± ¡°It¡¯s actually this thing. Although it¡¯s hard to get this thing, it¡¯s not completely impossible to get it. It¡¯s impossible that Elder Yan only appeared because of this.¡± ¡°I guess that¡¯s true. There¡¯s supposed to be something more exciting in the back.¡± While everyone was guessing, Yan Wudao spoke. ¡°Everyone must be curious why this item would be auctioned. I¡¯ll tell everyone.¡± ¡°The Thunderlight Jade Poison Beast¡¯s poison pouch that we are auctioning is different from ordinary ones. It belongs to a Royal Rank 9 Thunder Ray Jade Poison Beast.¡± ¡°I won¡¯t repeat the rest of the effects. Let¡¯s start the auction now!¡± After hearing Yan Wudao¡¯s words, everyone understood that the poison sac was extremely poisonous. In comparison, the lightning energy was much stronger than that of ordinary lightning energy. The lightning energy that specialized in poison cultivation was very useful to them. However, because these two elements were especially difficult to cultivate, it didn¡¯t cause much of a stir on the scene. However, experts who cultivated these two elements were definitely not people who lacked money, because these two elements required a large amount of money to successfully cultivate. It couldn¡¯t be compared to ordinary ones. Ordinary ones could directly absorb energy in the universe but lightning elements and poison couldn¡¯t. These can only be absorbed by specific objects or limbs. This was also the reason why cultivating these two elements was so costly. However, if one were to cultivate them, its power was two or three times that of ordinary energy, just like the thunder element. Not only was it fast but it was also quite powerful. It could be said that it basically had no flaws in battle. If one were to say that there was such a thing, then it could only be said that the cultivation speed was relatively slow. Beep! Beep! Saliva dripped from the Lightning Poison Beast¡¯s poison pouch. ¡°Young Master Durkelon, this thing¡¡± Seeing how Duellen was behaving, Durkelon naturally could not be petty. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, the Old Master has given you sufficient funds. It¡¯s no big deal to help you get it.¡± Durkelon patted his chest confidently and said confidently to Duellen. ¡°Thank you, Young Master.¡± Duellen was very grateful that Durkelon treated him well. Since young, it was always the Young Master who treated him well. He must protect his young master from bullying in the future. ¡°Ten thousand Purple Coins!¡± After agreeing to help Durkelon obtain the Thunderlight Jade Poison Beast, he didn¡¯t hesitate to bid. He had immediately changed the price of the poison sac to ten thousand Purple Coins. However, the crowd only paused for a moment before another bid sounded. ¡°13,000!¡± ¡°14,000!¡± ¡°20,000!¡± Durkelon was a little bored when he saw that they had raised the price by 11,000. He directly bid 20,000. It made those who wanted to increase the price shrink back. Twenty thousand was about the true price of the Lightning Jade Poison Beast. If he were to raise the price again, it would be a significant loss to him. Hence, everyone had the thought of giving up. At this moment, a voice was heard. ¡°23,000!¡± The voice came from Lorne¡¯s room. Everyone looked at him. ¡°Judging from his voice, he should be a poison cultivator.¡± ¡°That¡¯s right. This thing is not only useful for lightning but also for poison cultivators.¡± While everyone was speculating, Durkelon was furious. ¡°Kid, you dare to challenge me?¡± ¡°30,000!¡± Durkelon¡¯s voice echoed throughout the hall. He actually offered 30,000 Purple Coins. The Kerr Family was really rich. They wanted to see if Lorne would continue bidding, but after a while, they didn¡¯t hear anything. Everyone finally understood that he had given up. The item that could have been secured for 20,000 Purple Coins was now sold for 10,000 Purple Coins. Everyone was laughing at him. ¡°What a fool. This thing is only worth 20,000 Purple Coins.¡± ¡°That¡¯s right. I remember that he has a cultivator with the lightning element beside him. I think it should be for him to use.¡± ¡°There doesn¡¯t seem to be any Poison Cultivators in the Kerr Clan. This time, Durkelon has suffered a huge loss.¡± To a Poison Cultivator, this poison sac would be even more useful but to a lightning cultivator, it was just absorbing some lightning elements. If one¡¯s talent was good, they could add poison to the lightning. That way, their strength would increase. But Durkelon, who was in the private room, did not really care. ¡°How would a bunch of poor people know that I¡¯m happy to spend money?¡± Durkelon laughed at the people who were talking about them. To them, 30,000 Purple Coins was a lot. But to Durkelon it was only a year¡¯s allowance. Of course, this was referring to his future. The pocket money of the Kerr Family was divided by strength. Those who were stronger would receive more resources and contribute more to the clan. This had always been the Kerr Family¡¯s system. They didn¡¯t want trash. Although Durkelon was a bit weak in the face of magical beasts, he still had strength and talent in training.. Chapter 36 Yan Wudao only smiled and did not say a word when he saw that everyone was discussing. After they finished their discussion, Yan Wudao said, ¡°Alright, I think everyone must be curious now. If the first piece is already so powerful, then wouldn¡¯t the second piece be even more powerful?¡± ¡°Same old rules. Let¡¯s cut to the chase and serve the goods!¡± Just as Yan Wudao finished speaking, a few beauties carried the Primeval Flame War Ape up. The atmosphere in the venue rose another level, making everyone go crazy. After the beauties threw a few glances at them, they left. There was another uproar and then Yan Wudao began to introduce: ¡°The second item is the arm of the Primeval Flame War Ape. I believe everyone knows about this magical beast even if I don¡¯t tell them.¡± ¡°What is that?!¡± ¡°The previous ruler of the continent. I didn¡¯t expect its arm to appear in such a place.¡± ¡°In front of us is the Thunderlight Jade Poison Beast¡¯s poison pouch and now it¡¯s the Primeval Flame War Ape¡¯s arm. Which big shot has poked a beast¡¯s nest?¡± ¡°Yeah, do big shots like him ever need money?¡± ¡°These are things that can increase one¡¯s strength. If I really obtain them, shouldn¡¯t I absorb them quickly?¡± ¡°I can¡¯t figure it out. I really can¡¯t figure it out. Could it be that the person auctioning this item is extremely terrifying?¡± ¡°I think so, otherwise he wouldn¡¯t have been able to defeat such a powerful magical beast.¡± Before Yan Wudao could introduce the effects, everyone started discussing the names. Seeing that there were still discussions below, Yan Wudao could only raise his voice and say, ¡°Let me introduce him to you.¡± Hearing this, the people who were still discussing instantly fell silent, waiting for Yan Wudao¡¯s introduction. ¡°Everyone knows that the Primeval Flame War Ape is a fire-attributed war beast. If their flesh and blood is consumed, it can increase their physique.¡± ¡°If you are a fire elemental cultivator, then congratulations on awakening your Flame Combat Physique.¡± ¡°Isn¡¯t this the best elixir for warriors and mages who cultivate fire elements?¡± ¡°Mages who specialize in fire elements can increase their affinity with fire elements.¡± ¡°I¡¯ll cut to the chase and start the auction!¡± When Yan Wudao announced the start of the auction, someone started bidding. ¡°I bid ten thousand Purple Coins!¡± Ten thousand Purple Coins at the start was something that the Sunset Auction House had never seen before. At this moment, Camet, who was far away, was thinking after hearing the introduction. Should I buy one for Lorne? With Lorne¡¯s talent, he might not need such a thing. But if he used it, wouldn¡¯t his control over the fire element reach a higher level? At this thought, Camet also began to bid, ¡°I offer fifty thousand Purple Coins!¡± Hearing the shout, everyone was shocked. It was actually 50,000 Purple Coins. Now that the price was raised so high, the few people who wanted to fight for it stopped talking. Of course, there were still a few rich people who spoke, ¡°Sixty thousand Purple Coins!¡± ¡°I wonder if the friend who offered fifty thousand Purple Coins would be willing to give me some face? The Yan family of Sunset Sun City will definitely reward you handsomely!¡± There was a hint of threat in his words. He was implying that if he refused to give it to him, he would definitely teach him a lesson. Hearing this, Camet did not seem to care at all. It was just a small Sunset City. He was not afraid of the entire city becoming his enemy. Would he be afraid of a Yan Clan¡¯s threat? Without hesitation, Camet raised the price, ¡°One hundred thousand Purple Coins!¡± This price shocked the entire auction house. A hundred thousand Purple Coins. How much was this? Moreover, was the arm of the Primeval Flame War Ape really worth this price? At this moment, the patriarch of the Yan family began to panic. He did not have enough Purple Coins. The people around him seemed to have noticed his embarrassment. ¡°Brother Yan, I can lend you thirty thousand Purple Coins but you have to pay me forty thousand afterward. What do you say?¡± Upon hearing his words, the Yan Clan¡¯s Clan Head naturally nodded his head in agreement. With this item in his possession, their Yan Clan¡¯s strength would rise to another level. It wouldn¡¯t matter even if they owed him some money. ¡°I bid one hundred twenty thousand!¡± The Yan Family Head announced the final price. This was very important to them. After he offered this price, everyone understood that the Yan Clan was going all out. Just as Camet was about to bid again, a voice spoke in his head. ¡°Teacher Camet, I¡¯m Lorne. I¡¯m also at the auction house. I¡¯m the one auctioning this item. There¡¯s no need to bid anymore.¡± When he heard the voice in his head, Camet froze. He hadn¡¯t thought about the time Lorne had left him. He had already learned how to use telepathy. Actually, he did not know that Lorne was using a teleportation skill. His teleportation skill had already reached level six. Lorne simply sent his voice into Kamit¡¯s mind with a teleportation spell. This was also why his teleportation skill was abnormal. However, Lorne did not know how to use teleportation magic to bring people over. He could only send special items or himself to a place. He had originally planned to consult Camet when he returned to the academy. But the voice just now had made Lorne recognize Camet. He hadn¡¯t expected to find Master Camet at the auction house. This surprised him but the people in the room did not stop fighting. Instead, he raised the price again, ¡°I bid one hundred and thirty thousand!¡± The price was still rising and everyone was watching the two immortals fight. The patriarch of the Yan family was no longer as arrogant as before. A person who could take out a hundred and thirty thousand purple coins was definitely not someone to be trifled with. But now, he could reveal his final trump card. ¡°I bid one hundred and forty thousand.¡± His voice was no longer as arrogant as before, waiting for the other party to raise the price. He was ready to give up and Lorne was lost in doubt. He had clearly reminded Camet, so why was he still bidding? Could it be that the person was not Camet? Lorne guessed but it wasn¡¯t as simple as Carmet thought. After he found out about the Yan Clan¡¯s Clan Head¡¯s trump card, he immediately forced out his best price. Let Lorne earn some money. This could be considered a teacher¡¯s care for his students. Seeing that the other party did not bid, Yan Wudao also understood that the other party had given up. He immediately started to announce the ownership of the item. The Yan Clan¡¯s clan head was so emotional that tears flowed down his face. Although he had a debt of several tens of thousands of purple coins, these were all trivial matters. As long as he could raise the strength of his family, everything would be worth it. In the end, he obtained the arm he wanted. After paying the bill, he did not hesitate at all and ran straight home.. Chapter 37 His clansmen had been waiting for a long time. They were afraid that the family head would be surrounded on the way. At that time, the arm that he had bought for over a hundred thousand Purple Coins would be snatched away just like that. They also had to bear huge debts which was a huge blow to them. This was also the reason why they had been waiting outside for a long time. They had to send the Primeval Flame War Ape¡¯s arm home safely. They stood in the middle to protect their family head. His arm had long since been stored into his Space Ring. Although everyone was on edge along the way, no one came to give chase. This was a good thing for them. When they reached home, everyone heaved a sigh of relief. ¡°Hurry up and make it into a big pot of rice. We¡¯ll take a bite each and see who will awaken their physique.¡± The head of the Yan Clan shouted to everyone. The kitchen had long been prepared and started to prepare. Seeing this lively scene, he felt extremely gratified in his heart. As long as they could eat this thing, their Yan Clan would be able to stand up in Sunset City. At this moment, the auction was still ongoing. Someone had gotten what they wanted. Everyone was looking forward to the next item, or rather, how many good items this expert had given to the auction. ¡°Next up is the last item to be auctioned. This item is definitely useful to everyone, so I can give everyone half a day to start the auction at night.¡± That was what Yan Wudao had discussed with the president of the auction. This way, not only could he attract more customers but he could also hold a large-scale auction at night. The first two items were like a stone door. Inviting all the cultivators in Sunset City to this place would allow the auction house to earn a fortune. It could be said that they were quite good at operating. The person who was most angry when he heard this news was probably Durkelon. Initially, he wanted to complete his grandfather¡¯s instructions quickly and auction the item. Then he could go and spend more time with Irvine. So what if Irvine was eaten by Lorne tonight? Lorne didn¡¯t look like a good person! Although he was not a good person himself, he really liked Irwinne. Otherwise, with his family matters, if he directly went to Irvine¡¯s family to propose marriage, they might very well agree to Durkelon¡¯s conditions. After all, Durkelen was the only heir to the Kerr Family. He had no siblings or anything. ¡°Mr. K, since we have to continue the auction at night, do you want to come over at night or rest at our auction house?¡± ¡°Everything you spend here is free. Also, you can tell us if you need anything tonight.¡± The waiter stood aside and waited for Lorne¡¯s reply. Lorne thought for a moment. He¡¯d followed Irvine and Durkelon today. He¡¯d bought basically everything he needed to eat and drink. There was nothing else she really needed but he remembered that he had said that he wanted to go shopping with Irvine. But now, Lorne really didn¡¯t seem like he was going out shopping, so he decided to have a candlelight dinner with Irvine. ¡°Waiter, please order your signature dishes and bring a few candles.¡± Lorne instructed the waiter, who was confused. He could understand eating but what was the candle for? However, she did not dare to ask too much. After all, Lorne was a big client and she could not afford to offend him. She bowed and left. When she met Yan Wudao on the way, she immediately told him about Lorne¡¯s needs. This made the old man a little confused, unable to figure out what Lorne wanted. It was one thing to eat but he even wanted candles. What was he doing? He had to go and take a look later. Who knew what this mysterious Mr. K was up to? Irvine was also puzzled. ¡°Brother Lorne, why do you want candles?¡± Lorne smiled mysteriously. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, you¡¯ll understand in a while.¡± Although she was full of doubts, she did not ask further. Anyway, she trusted Lorne. After all, Lorne was someone she liked. If she didn¡¯t even have that little bit of trust, she wouldn¡¯t have been following Lorne around. Shortly after, the waiter brought the dishes and candles over. Just as the waiter was about to leave, Lorne spoke. ¡°Turn off the lights when you leave too. Thanks.¡± Because it was a closed room, once the lights were turned off, the room would become very dark. In the face of Lorne¡¯s strange request, the waiter did not say anything and just did as she was told. Then, she left. After the lights were switched off, the entire room fell into darkness. The entire room suddenly became extremely dark. Irvine screamed. Lorne quickly used his fire magic to light the candles on the table. In the dark room, there was only light where Lorne and Irvine were. The rest of the place was dark and they only had eyes for each other. Irvine looked at Lorne and Lorne looked at Irvine. As their eyes met, Lorne spoke first. ¡°Your eyes are really pretty. There are clear rain, sun, moon, mountains, rivers, clouds, flowers, birds.¡± Hearing Lorne say this, Irvine¡¯s face turned red. Then Lorne said again, ¡°But my eyes are better because I have you in them.¡± With that, Lorne laughed and Irvine was not convinced. She raised her head and said to Lorne, ¡°Impossible. My eyes are better than yours because I have you in my eyes too!¡± When Irvine finished speaking, their ambiguous anger reached its climax. Without another word, she took the initiative to kiss him. The two of them kissed under the candlelight. After the kiss, Lorne said to Irvine, ¡°Can you be my girlfriend?¡± ¡°No, I don¡¯t want that.¡± Lorne was surprised to hear Irvine¡¯s answer. He thought Irvine liked him too. That was why he confessed and they kissed. However, just as he was about to confirm their relationship, Irvine actually rejected him. Lorne was stunned. Looking at the dazed Lorne, Irvine laughed. ¡°I don¡¯t want to be your girlfriend. I want to be your wife!¡± It took Lorne a moment to realize what she was saying. This was not the original Earth. The girlfriend here meant a wife. On this side, if the two of them were determined to be in a relationship, they would be engaged. After they got into a relationship, they would be married. It was not like the original world started with a girlfriend. ¡°You little rascal, you¡¯re trying to embarrass me!¡± Hearing Lorne¡¯s words, Irvine wanted to explain something. But Lorne did not give her a chance to speak. They hugged and kissed again.. Chapter 38 After confirming their relationship, they were now like glue. Yan Wudao, who was outside, was dumbfounded when he opened the door. What was going on? The two of them weren¡¯t supposed to be so affectionate. What happened?! Yan Wudao could only smile awkwardly. However, judging from their situation, it was as if they were the only people in the entire world. So this was why they wanted candles. He didn¡¯t expect Mr. K to be so romantic. He smiled to himself. However, he immediately reacted. ¡°Mr. K, I¡¯m here to call you to the auction. When do you think we should set off?¡± The private room that Lorne was currently in was a normal private room for the auction but if he wanted to participate in tonight¡¯s special auction, he would have to go underground. ¡°Give us a moment. We¡¯ll be there in a while.¡± ¡°Alright.¡± Yan Wudao then closed the door again. Irvine and Lorne laughed awkwardly, straightening each other¡¯s clothes. When he opened the door, Yan Wudao was still waiting outside. When he saw the two of them, he smiled and said, ¡°Mr. K, please follow me.¡± With that said, he led the two of them to the underground auction venue and passed through the spiraling corridors. The three of them finally arrived at a small dark room. Everyone here wore masks. Only the stage was lit. This time, the crowd did not whisper like last time. Under Yan Wudao¡¯s lead, Lorne arrived at the only private room in the basement. When they reached the private room, they realized that there was someone else there. Because this was the only private room, as long as there was enough money or if the person was specially invited by the auction house. They could all come to this room. Of course, there would always be a number of them. This time, Durkelon was not included in the list of people who could enter this precious room. They could only watch the auction from below. It could be said that these were the major powers of Sunset City. Basically, no one had entered this room. Now, everyone was curious. Who were the people in the private room? Even the largest family in Sunset City, Durkelon, could only stand below. Durkelon had obviously heard something about the Wind God and he didn¡¯t try to fight for it. When the others saw that Durkelon had no objections, how could they, a third-rate or second-rate family, dare to speak? After Lorne brought Irvine into the private room, he found a place to sit down and did not say much. They were waiting for the auction to start. Other than being noticed after entering, the others stopped looking at Lorne and Irvine. At that moment, a fatty in a blue coat walked over and looked at Lorne and Irvine. ¡°Friend, your mask is quite beautiul. Can you tell me about it?¡± The fat man sat down next to Lorne and Irvine very naturally. He was about to put his arms around Irvine. Irvine deftly dodged it and threw herself into Lorne¡¯s arms. ¡°What do you want to do, my friend? If you want to pick a fight, I¡¯m ready!¡± Lorne was starting to get angry when he saw the fat man touching his wife. But now was not the time to lose his temper. Of course, if fatty provoked him again, he would definitely let fatty know what cruelty was! Seeing that Lorne was angry, fatty raised his hand and smiled. ¡°Don¡¯t be nervous, my friend. I was just joking.¡± ¡°Sorry, I didn¡¯t expect you to be so angry.¡± Upon hearing the fatty¡¯s apology, Lorne did not intend to pursue the matter but his next words angered him. ¡°Your female companion is so pretty. How much do you want for me?¡± Before he could finish his sentence, Lorne¡¯s magic shot out and sent fatty flying. Seeing Lorne make his move, the other spectators smiled. They had a good show to watch. This was what they were thinking. No matter how much you scold or mock others, you can¡¯t do it here. However, if they were to fight here, the people from the Sunset Auction House would definitely find trouble with the person who did it. After fatty was sent flying, Yan Wudao came and heard that Lorne¡¯s female companion had been humiliated. With a grim expression, they carried away the fat man who had caused trouble earlier. Yan Wudao walked over with the other staff members. He said to Lorne, ¡°Mr. K, I¡¯m sorry. It¡¯s all our fault. Please don¡¯t be angry.¡± Hearing the words of the Sunset Auction House staff, everyone¡¯s eyes widened. What was going on? Shouldn¡¯t he take both of them away? Why was he apologizing to Lorne after taking the other one away? But Lorne ignored them. Soon, the auction began. Everyone¡¯s discussion fell on the mysterious Mr. K. He was a mysterious person after all. He could actually make the Sunset Auction House make such a huge concession. One must know that the Sunset Auction House prioritized profits. It seemed like this Mr. K had a secret that no one knew about.. Chapter 39 Although sitting up there represented strength and family matters, it didn¡¯t mean that they had more money than them. Compared to money, he was also very rich. Of course, there were some people who knew that they couldn¡¯t beat him. However, they could still compare in terms of money. Furthermore, no one knew each other here. What were they afraid of? In the end, the people in the room also attacked. ¡°I offer a Million Purple Coins!¡± The man slowly stood up and offered a price that made the people below dare not speak. ¡°What do you mean by one Million Purple Coins? Did I hear wrongly?¡± ¡°F*ck, is this thing worth a Million Purple Coins?¡± ¡°Is this for real? This is too fierce! What¡¯s the point of using a hammer!¡± When the people below heard a Million Purple Coins, they could no longer remain calm. However, the people above could only smile. It was as if a Million Purple Coins were nothing to them. Lorne was puzzled. Another woman stood up and said, ¡°I bid one Million five hundred thousand.¡± After bidding, the girl said to the others, ¡°It¡¯s going to be my little granddaddy¡¯s birthday soon. I want to buy this for him, so please make it convenient for me.¡± Upon hearing those words, the crowd hurriedly nodded in agreement, as if they were acquainted with a lady. Upon seeing this, Lorne knew that his chance to earn big money was gone. However, he still needed to raise the price. Otherwise, this price would be too disadvantageous for him. ¡°1,510,000!¡± After a moment of hesitation, Lorne announced a bid of ten thousand Purple Coins. This time, it wasn¡¯t just the crowd, even Irvine was deceived. ¡°How could you be so stupid and take the wrong number plate? Forget it, I¡¯ve already made the offer anyway.¡± Lorne smiled. The woman who was talking to everyone just now glanced at him meaningfully. Then, another price erupted, ¡°I bid two Million Purple Coins!¡± Upon hearing the girl¡¯s voice, Lorne stopped bidding. The entire room fell silent. The people below did not have the financial resources to bid again. Just like this, Lorne, who could have earned quite a bit of money, did. In the end, he only managed to earn two Million Purple Coins, which made Luo En very uncomfortable. Fortunately, he still had a lot of such things in his ring. When they ran out of money, they could just auction it off. ¡°Congratulations to number five for obtaining this piece of Heaven Raising True Steel.¡± After the golden-haired beauty finished speaking, the two men in black went on stage again and carried the Atlas True Metal down. After all, this thing was very heavy. Otherwise, it would be able to create such powerful equipment. Moreover, the forging method required was different. After Lorne¡¯s Atlas True Steel was auctioned, there was nothing else that interested him. Knowing that the last product had appeared on stage, Lorne suddenly felt that the book in front of him was very familiar. He searched carefully and found that this book was very similar to the one in Storm Ring. He used the system to check. The other book was the forbidden spell, Scarlet Fire Dragon. He could use the fire element to summon a huge fire dragon to fight. He didn¡¯t know what kind of forbidden spell was on the stage, but he had to get it no matter what kind. The golden-haired girl didn¡¯t say anything. He only said two words. ¡°I can¡¯t see the contents of this book, and no one can identify what it is. It could be waste paper or something extremely valuable.¡± ¡°But what he is depends on your ability.¡± After the girl finished speaking, the entire hall fell silent. No one said anything else. Everyone was wondering what this thing was. If he accidentally bought a piece of trash back, he would be done for. However, there was still someone who tried to sound him out, ¡°100,000 Purple Coins.¡± Just as everyone was thinking, a voice was heard. The blonde on stage knew very well that this bidder was their drag. It was also a strategy to avoid the east and west path, if someone wanted to take a gamble. In the end, there wouldn¡¯t be any stray shots. When everyone heard this voice, they had a tacit understanding. ¡°200,000 Purple Coins.¡± Seeing that no one made a move, a boy sitting beside Lorne spoke. The moment he opened his mouth, everyone looked at him and he smiled. ¡°What are you looking at? It¡¯s only 200,000 yuan. What if this thing is very powerful? I¡¯m also taking a gamble.¡± The man said with a smile, looking like he was really taking a gamble. But Lorne knew that he was prepared to attack from the very beginning. It was obvious that he knew something about this thing. However, the others didn¡¯t think so. After all, two hundred thousand Purple Coins was nothing to them. Everyone thought that the man wanted to take a gamble, but he had obviously deceived everyone. However, they could not fool Lorne. The people below also started to play tricks. ¡°I can¡¯t believe someone up there is bidding.¡± ¡°It should be a gamble. After all, two hundred thousand Purple Coins is nothing to others.¡± ¡°Let¡¯s just wait and see. After all, two hundred thousand Purple Coins isn¡¯t as easy as they seem.¡± ¡°Right, just take a look. We can¡¯t win this thing.¡± After all, no one wanted to buy a useless person. The people below were not interested at all. At this moment, Lorne spoke, ¡°I bid two hundred and fifty thousand Purple Coins!¡± As soon as he said this, everyone looked at him. What was going on with this Lorne? ¡°Friend, aren¡¯t you being too unkind? I offered the price first.¡± The people around Lorne looked at him unhappily. Lorne smiled. ¡°I¡¯m here to attend an auction, not a shopping mall. Since I offered a higher price than you, the items should naturally be mine. Is there a problem?¡± ¡°Who are you looking down on? 300,000 Purple Coins!¡± When they heard the two of them quarreling, the others looked at the two of them as if they were watching a show. Although they didn¡¯t add much, it added some interesting colors to the auction. Yan Wudao, who was in charge of this auction, was the happiest. He knew that this item could easily be traded. Back then, he had spent a hundred thousand Purple Coins on this item. Now, he was auctioning it off. As long as it was a bit higher than a hundred thousand Purple Coins, then he would have earned it. ¡°Five hundred thousand Purple Coins!¡± Luo En called out a price that shocked everyone. Five hundred thousand Purple Coins? That meant you were going to use this money to buy a useless item. This made many people feel that Lorne was a prodigal, while the man beside him broke out in cold sweat. He had expected the price to be five hundred thousand Purple Coins, but Luo En had already offered this price. In other words, he had no way of competing with him. ¡°Five hundred thousand for a piece of junk. Brother, are you very rich?¡± There was no way to defeat Lorne in terms of money, only in terms of spirit.. Chapter 40 Lorne laughed disdainfully at his sarcasm. ¡°I¡¯m rich, and I¡¯m happy to be. What do you care?¡± The three questions rendered the man speechless. It was as if he had found his weakness. ¡°Why are you talking when you can¡¯t afford it? Do you only know how to talk?¡± Lorne¡¯s words hit the man¡¯s heart, and he could only remain silent. After he declared that the mysterious thing belonged to Lorne. The man stood up and walked outside. Of course, he was not the first to do so. The last item to be auctioned was the woman on stage. Although she was indeed beautiful, many people were not interested. Only a few people were interested in this. Lorne stood up after taking the photo. He was ready to leave this place with Irvine. After all, he had nothing else he needed now. But when Lorne didn¡¯t notice, a pair of eyes watched him from the shadows the moment he left. After he left, the pair of glowing eyes also disappeared. Lorne brought Irvine backstage to collect their items and the Purple Coins they had won from the auction. Excluding the five hundred thousand Purple Coins he had spent, he had earned nearly two Million Purple Coins. Now, he was completely rich. He could eat, drink, and buy anything he wanted. However, they did not plan to leave the auction house tonight. Lorne understood that after the auction ended, the items he bought would definitely be noticed by others. Then there would be another big fight at night, and he would take Irvine with him. That way, he was afraid she would be hurt. ¡°Irvine, we¡¯ll spend the night here. We¡¯ll go out tomorrow.¡± Lorne spoke sternly to Irvine. It was Yawney¡¯s first time attending an auction. He was puzzled. ¡°Why do we have to spend the night here and go back tomorrow?¡± ¡°I still want to bring you home to confess to my father. After all, we¡¯re together now. I should let my father know.¡± Upon hearing Irvine¡¯s words, Lorne patiently explained, ¡°You got something from the auction, so others must want it too. When the time comes, everyone will be attacked, so if we leave tomorrow, there will be fewer enemies.¡± Irvine nodded, not fully understanding. ¡°Is that because Irvine was too weak to hold you back¡ª¡± Irvine said aggrievedly. ¡°Why would I?¡± Lorne stroked Irvine¡¯s head. ¡°You can be my favorite little baby. I just don¡¯t want you in danger.¡± ¡°Yes, I believe in you, Brother Lorne.¡± Irvine buried her head into Lorne¡¯s chest and said shyly. Yan Wudao understood what Lorne was thinking. He saw that they were still here. Automatically, he walked over. ¡°Mr. K, I¡¯ve already prepared a room for you. Please follow me.¡± Upon hearing Yan Wudao¡¯s words, Lorne nodded in satisfaction. It seemed like this auction house was quite thoughtful. Just like that, Lorne and Irvine spent a safe night at the auction house. There was a storm of blood outside the auction house. Magic and sword energy flew everywhere. Screams echoed in the empty street. On the other hand, Lorne was sleeping comfortably. The next morning. Lorne didn¡¯t bother Evaine, who was still sleeping, but left her a message with magic. ¡°I¡¯m going out first. If you¡¯re awake, don¡¯t run around. Wait for me here.¡± After writing this on the paper, Lorne walked out. He knew that it was not absolutely safe outside. He only dared to pick up Yi Wenni after he was done. After he went out, Irvine woke up in bed. In fact, Yawney had woken up long ago, just to not let Lorne worry. He¡¯d chosen to pretend to sleep so Lorne wouldn¡¯t have to explain it to her. She knew that she was not strong, and was far inferior to Lorne. Also, the enemies that attacked Loen were definitely not ordinary. She had to become stronger quickly. She could feel the distance between him and Lorne changing. If it got too far, she¡¯d lose Lorne. He wasn¡¯t losing Lorne. The two of them were going to stay together forever. At this moment, there was still no one on the streets. The moment Lorne stepped out of the door, a Flaming Bullet hit him. Lorne quickly blocked with his magic shield. His reaction was very fast, and he easily blocked the fireballs that were fired from an unknown direction. Then, another ice spike and wind blade came from different places. Lorne used different magic shields to block them all. ¡°You guys sure are good. Why are so many of you attacking me?¡± Lorne smiled and said to the air. Soon, three figures appeared on the street. ¡°The Three Thieves of Ice and Fire? I didn¡¯t expect it to be you!¡± Lorne was very surprised. Weren¡¯t these three people known as robbing the rich to help the poor? Why did she attack him today? He didn¡¯t do anything bad. As Lorne thought to himself, the three bandits spoke. ¡°Lorne, we¡¯ve already heard from Young Master Duer that you¡¯ve bullied men and women during the century. Now, accept our judgment!¡± As the three of them spoke, it was as if they were attacking Loen. Loen was also not muddled, chatting as he fought. ¡°I can¡¯t believe you¡¯re calling him Master Duer. Looks like you¡¯ve become his thugs.¡± Upon hearing Luo En¡¯s words, the other party was immediately unwilling. ¡°Nonsense, we¡¯re just getting rid of evil for the people. Die!¡± The three of them took out their swords without any explanation. It was obvious that they were Spellblades who dual cultivated magic and swordsmen. ¡°Can you believe the rich man¡¯s nonsense? He¡¯s obviously their hired thug.¡± ¡°Why don¡¯t you think about what kind of person Du Er is? You actually believe his nonsense.¡± Following Lorne¡¯s words, the three of them did not hesitate. Instead, they became more and more enthusiastic. It was as if Lorne¡¯s words had poked at his pain, and the four of them fought for countless rounds. In the end, the three of them fell when their magic power was exhausted. They looked at Lorne as if he was a monster. ¡°Is he a monster? The three of us don¡¯t have as much magic power as him?¡± Just as they were thinking about how to escape, a hearty voice came from afar. ¡°Hahaha, Icefire Brothers, you¡¯re all going to die here today!¡± The three of them looked at the black-robed man and the dark aura coming from his body in surprise. ¡°Why are you here?¡± While the three men were still in shock, the black-robed man looked at Lorne and extended his dull hands. ¡°Lorne, give me the Book of Taboo and I¡¯ll spare your life!¡± He seemed to be certain that Lorne was the one. After all, he had just married three powerful mages. Lorne did not have much magic left, so he was not worried that Lorne could defeat him. However, what he did not know was that Lorne did not need minor mana to release magic. His magic was autonomous. He cultivated and attacked..
