《I Have an Animal Assassins Group》 Chapter 1 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL ¡°What?¡± ¡°Animal Evolution System?¡± ¡°What¡¯s the use of this system?¡± ¡°Moreover, the resources used during evolution is actually a large amount of money?¡± ¡°Hehe, if I had money, my first choice would be to evolve myself, not to evolve animals.¡± In an old apartment in Muskegon, USA. Adams was mumbling to himself as if he was a lunatic. If this scene had happened on the streets, people would definitely choose to stay as far away from him as possible. After all, the United States did not lack all kinds of lunatics. However, no one knew that this young man named Adams was a transmigrator. He brought the memories of his previous life and transmigrated from another parallel world. He was now a university student. He was only muttering to himself because Adams had just been bound to a system. It was a system called God-Level Animal Evolution. When he first heard about the system, Adams felt bored. He felt even more helpless after hearing the introduction of the system. This so-called ¡®God-Level Animal Evolution System¡¯ was able to evolve all kinds of animals by spending money. During the evolution process, the target animals would be randomly allowed to evolve bloodlines, physical bodies, or certain organs. After the evolution, they would all produce great lethality. In his previous life, Adams also read some online novels and knew what the system was like. But there was a problem. When other transmigrators transmigrated to a parallel world, they were bound to either a god-rich system that allowed them to squander money wantonly, or a system that allowed them to reign supreme in power. The worst case scenario was that they had transmigrated back to a world where entertainment had gone back decades to develop their grand ambitions in the entertainment industry. But what about Adams? He did not have a god-rich system, nor did he have a powerful background. Instead, he was bound to an animal evolution system that sounded completely useless. This was simply unbearable to him. But very quickly, the system seemed to have noticed Adams¡¯ thoughts and quickly reminded him: [Respected host, you may have misunderstood.] [First of all, the animals that you want to evolve are 100% loyal to you. There is no doubt about it.] [After that, when you spend money to upgrade them, their combat strength will become extremely high.] The moment the system finished speaking, Adams frowned, as if he had noticed the main point of the system¡¯s words. However, he still opened his mouth to speak. ¡°Tell me everything you know.¡± With a system that was absolutely subservient to him, Adams would naturally not be polite. His time would not be spent on such boring suspense. [Your Majesty.] [According to your humble servant¡¯s observations, the world you live in isn¡¯t a peaceful world.] [In this world, conflict, violence, and crime can be seen everywhere.] [The various powers are intertwined, and they are willing to do anything for benefits.] [As for the commoners, they are just pitiful sacrifices.] [In this world, you are just an ordinary college student. You don¡¯t have any ability to protect yourself.] [It¡¯s not an exaggeration to say that without any power, your life in this world will not be easy.] Hearing this, Adams¡¯ expression darkened. He could tell that the system was telling the truth. [And I, your most humble servant, will provide you with help.] [Animals that have evolved through the system are extremely lethal.] [Please think about it, host. What can a highly lethal and loyal organization do in this world?] As soon as the system¡¯s respectful voice fell, a class popped up in Adams¡¯ mind ¡ª Assassin! Since he had the ability to control animals, and the destructive power of animals would continue to evolve, wouldn¡¯t being an assassin be the most suitable class for this animal evolution system? Adams fell into deep thought: ¡°My previous life was extremely mediocre. I lived an ordinary life like most ordinary people. I couldn¡¯t stir up any waves.¡± ¡°At the same time, I was subject to all sorts of laws and restrictions.¡± ¡°That wasn¡¯t the life I wanted at all.¡± ¡°Since I¡¯ve transmigrated and obtained the system in this life, I must seize this opportunity!¡± ¡°Drink the most expensive wine!¡± ¡°Sleep with the most beautiful woman!¡± ¡°No law, morality, or rules can oppress me in the slightest.¡± Adams was overwhelmed with emotions. It was as if the gates of heaven had opened in front of him at this moment. And all of this required money. A large amount of money. Adams quickly calmed down. The days in the future were very beautiful, but not now. ¡°System, how can I evolve an animal?¡± [Reporting to host, to evolve, you must first capture an animal.] [Only after capture can you evolve.] ¡°Then how can it be considered as captured?¡± Adams continued to ask, not wanting to miss out on any details. The system continued to answer: [It¡¯s simple. As long as the host can capture an animal, and the animal is ownerless, it will automatically be judged as your pet.] At this point, Adams understood everything. He immediately prepared to go out to the pet market to buy some pets back. However, in the next second¡ The balance in his bank card was like a bucket of cold water falling from the sky, extinguishing his eager mood. In this urban world, the price of pets was increasing day by day. Especially for pets like cats and dogs. The price was even higher. Even if it was a sick dog, the merchant would still dare to quote a sky-high price. With Adams¡¯ current bank balance, buying half a pet dog was just enough. Unfortunately, Adams was not traveling to the distant and mysterious east. Otherwise, it would not be a bad thing. At this moment, a bee flew past Adams¡¯ eyes, emitting a buzzing sound. Adams immediately asked the system: ¡°System, can any animal evolve and become my pet?!¡± [To the host, yes!] Chapter 2 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL Cash-strapped Adams had given up on the idea of going to the pet market and buying pets. The bee in front of him had become his primary target. Under the circumstances, the cost of capturing the bee would be zero. There would be no cost at all. At most, it would just swell up into a big lump. Adams said yes, and he began to prepare for the capture. The bee was extremely quick-witted, and it was tiny and fast. It was difficult to capture it. The system had said that one had to capture it alive. Adams had locked the doors and windows of the room so that it couldn¡¯t fly out. But even so, it was difficult to catch it. Adams simply sat down and silently watched it fly up and down. The little bee crashed into the door, the window, the curtains¡ Even though it was dizzy from the impact and was flying unsteadily, it still struggled to take off again. This perseverance almost touched Adams. ¡°So it¡¯s decided to be you!¡± Adams became even more determined to make the little bee his number one general. Seeing that the little bee was flying slower and slower, Adams bent his body and approached it with quiet steps. Then. He clapped his hands together: ¡°Pu!¡± Air was expelled from the palms of his hands, but Adams felt that there was nothing in his hands. As expected, the little bee that was flying slowly suddenly sped up and dodged Adams¡¯ attack. Adams felt a headache coming on. This little thing was really hard to catch. Could it be that he had to wait until its strength was exhausted and it couldn¡¯t fly anymore before he could catch it? That would take too long! Looking at the little bee¡¯s energetic figure, Adams was speechless. At this moment, Adams glanced around and suddenly saw a small jar of honey next to the refrigerator. He had forgotten to put it in the refrigerator when he was drinking coffee. ¡°I have an idea!¡± Adams smiled and walked to the refrigerator to get the honey. He opened the jar and poured the honey onto the plate. The bright yellow honey with a gemstone luster coiled up into a small hill on the plate. Adams placed the plate of honey near the little bee. Then, he quietly retreated and hid. ¡°Little bee, you must be hungry after flying for so long. Hurry up and eat¡¡± Adams looked at the little bee with a passionate gaze and muttered something. As expected, the little bee that had been flying randomly for a long time finally flew lower and lower. Then, it got closer and closer to the plate of honey. The little thing first circled around the honey cautiously, then it couldn¡¯t resist the temptation and slowly landed on the honey. While the little thing was eating, Adams slowly approached with a glass cup. Then he pounced, and the cup was pulled down, holding the little bee. [Ding ¡ª Congratulations to the host for capturing a bee. Do you want to keep it as a pet?] The moment Adams successfully captured it, the system¡¯s voice rang out at the same time. ¡°Yes!¡± Adams had spent so much effort to capture it, so there was no hesitation at all. Receiving Adams¡¯ affirmative answer, the system¡¯s voice rang out again: [Successful acquisition. Host, please name your pet.] ¡°Name it? The sense of ritual is quite sufficient.¡± Adams rubbed his chin and began to think of a name for his first pet. ¡°Let¡¯s call it Bumblebee!¡± Adams had a flash of inspiration and gave the little thing a powerful name. After giving it a name, an attribute panel appeared in front of Adams: [Bumblebee] Master: Adams Serial number: 001 Combat Power: 1 Evolvable: All organs ¡ Looking at this attribute, Adams couldn¡¯t help but sigh. As expected, there was no good bargain, not to mention this was free! Bumblebee¡¯s combat power was only 1! This was f*cking amazing! However, Adams quickly calmed down because everything could evolve. He asked the system directly: ¡°How do I evolve it?¡± The system immediately replied: [Reporting to host, evolution can be divided into two types of evolution.] [First, random evolution.] [Second, designated evolution.] [Random evolution means that any part or organ will randomly evolve, so the price will be cheaper.] [Designated evolution means that the host will choose the direction of evolution, so the price will be more expensive.] [Also, evolution will be divided into levels.] [D-Grade evolution is the weakest, SSS-Grade evolution is the strongest.] [Any SSS-Grade evolution, even if it¡¯s a bee, will become an extremely powerful existence.] Adams nodded after hearing the system¡¯s answer, indicating that he understood. Then, he asked impatiently: ¡°How much does Bumblebee need to evolve now?¡± The system immediately replied: [D-rank random evolution: $10,000 USD, evolution of choice: Price doubled!] [C-rank random evolution: $100,000 USD, evolution of choice: Price doubled!] [B-rank random evolution: $1 million USD, evolution of choice: Price doubled!] [A-rank random evolution: $5 million USD, evolution of choice: Price tripled!] [S-rank random evolution: 10 million USD, evolution by choice: 3 times price!] [SS-rank random evolution: Requires completion of special mission!] [SSS-rank random evolution: Requires completion of special mission!] Chapter 3 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL ¡°What the f*ck?!¡± Adams cursed heatedly. He couldn¡¯t even afford a pet dog, and his first pet was a free little bee that he had caught with his own hands. Yet, even the lowest level of evolution cost 10,000 dollars?! How could he afford to evolve?! Are you kidding me?! ¡°What kind of rubbish system is this?!¡± ¡°Forget it!¡± Adams was so angry that he looked like a gentleman who had just bought a decent suit. In the end, when he went out, he was splashed with dirty water by a car. As the saying went, ¡®A dime is hard to beat a hero,¡¯ not to mention this huge sum of 10,000 USD. Perhaps sensing Adams¡¯ mood, the system¡¯s voice quickly sounded: [Dear host, for your growth, I can provide you with a free chance to evolve randomly.] [You can randomly draw D-Class evolution, or you can draw A-class evolution, or even S-Class, SS-Class, SSS-Class¡] [In short, everything depends on your luck.] The system¡¯s tone was very respectful. Adams, who was originally angry and shouting that the system didn¡¯t want him, instantly calmed down. ¡°You really are a good system.¡± Adams couldn¡¯t help but praise the system. The system beeped as well. It seemed to be enjoying it. ¡°Then why aren¡¯t you evolving bumblebee?!¡± [Yes, yes, my master¡] The system was like an old butler who had been scolded by his master. Its tone was filled with fear. It immediately began to evolve. [Do you wish to use this random evolution opportunity on Bumblebee?] The system confirmed once again. ¡°Yes, Hurry up!¡± Adams¡¯ tone carried a hint of irascible anger that he could not suppress. He had been really annoyed by this system today. First, he had transmigrated. When he learned that this world was not peaceful, his mood fell into unease. Then, he had obtained the system. In this life, he could show off his skills and be happy. Then, he was told that he needed a pet to be able to play the role of the system. The price of a pet was too high, and he couldn¡¯t afford it even if he was poor. This meant that the system was useless, and his mood fell again. Then, he saw the little bee. After going through a lot of trouble to catch it, he thought that he could finally evolve, and he was happy again. However, he wasn¡¯t happy for long when he learned that the lowest level of evolution required at least 10,000 dollars! 10,000 dollars! That was enough to buy at least dozens of pet dogs! This was even more desperate than when he couldn¡¯t afford a pet dog in the beginning! These few rounds had completely destroyed Adams¡¯ mentality. And now that he learned that the system would give him a free chance to evolve, Adams¡¯ mood didn¡¯t change at all. ¡®If this stupid system plays me again, I¡¯d rather give it up!¡¯ Adams thought to himself hatefully. As if sensing Adams¡¯ thoughts, the system¡¯s voice sounded again: [Ding ¡ª evolution successful!] [Ding ¡ª this evolution is A-class evolution, ¡®Evolution-Overall Upgrade¡¯] [Your number one pet, [Bumblebee] has received a super boost in speed!] [Your number one pet, [Bumblebee] has received a super boost to its strength!] [Your number one pet, [Bumblebee] has received a super boost to its senses!] [Your number one pet, [Bumblebee] has received a super boost to its combat strength!] After the evolution, the stats panel of Bumblebee once again appeared in front of Adams: Main Body: Bee Serial number: 001 Evolution: A-Class Upgrade Skills: Temporarily unavailable Special: Temporarily unavailable Combat Power: 1024 ¡ When the system notification ended and the new version of Bumblebee¡¯s stats appeared, Adams heaved a sigh of relief. This matter had finally come to an end. As for Bumblebee, its combat power had increased from an insignificant 1 to 1000! A difference of 1,000 times in combat power! An A-Class evolution was truly terrifying! Under this huge boost, the originally weak Bumblebee¡¯s aura suddenly changed! First and foremost, the most intuitive feeling was its speed. ¡°Buzz Buzz¡± sounds flashed past Adams¡¯ ears. In the blink of an eye, Bumblebee had flown from the table to the door. It was impossible for the naked eye to catch it! It could be said that if the bee had tried to escape at this speed, Adams would never have been able to touch it! The next step was the strength test. Under Adams¡¯ instructions, the bee was able to knock down a large lamp! Even though knocking down a lamp was an easy feat for humans, don¡¯t forget, Bumblebee was a bee, a bee that no one cared about. Adams immediately connected the dots. If an inconspicuous bee could be paired with a sharp weapon, wouldn¡¯t it be able to kill without being noticed?! At the thought of a sharp weapon, Adams immediately stretched out his hand, and Bumblebee buzzed into his hand. Adams placed Bumblebee in front of his eyes and observed it carefully. He saw that Bumblebee¡¯s stinger had gone through evolution and turned pitch-black. Under the illumination of the light, it emitted a dangerous glow. ¡°Since it¡¯s a full-scale A-Rank evolution, that means¡¡± ¡°Bumblebee¡¯s stinger has also gone through evolution!¡± Adams¡¯ tone was filled with excitement. He immediately began experimenting! He rummaged through the room and found an old, yellowish leather belt. Although it was very old, it did not affect its toughness. Adams calmed his mind and gave Bumblebee the order to cut the belt with the stinger. With the help of the system, Adams could give orders at will and command all his pets to complete his orders. Even though he hadn¡¯t evolved into a language yet and couldn¡¯t communicate with Bumblebee for the time being, it was enough. Under Adams¡¯ command, Bumblebee flew to a height of about one meter above the table. Its sharp black tail was aimed at the old leather belt. Then, it dove down! Swoosh! Chapter 4 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL It wasn¡¯t a stab, but a slash. With its extreme speed and diving strength, the sharp stinger of Bumblebee sliced through the tough leather belt in an instant. It didn¡¯t seem to feel any resistance. ¡°There doesn¡¯t seem to be any changes?¡± Adams walked to the table and picked up the seemingly undamaged leather belt. ¡°Huh?¡± Adams noticed something wasn¡¯t right and quickly placed the leather belt under his observation. A tiny crack seemed to have appeared on the leather belt. Adams took it to the bottom of the table lamp and spread it open from both sides A terrifying wound instantly appeared on the old leather belt that was weathered but still very tough! Looking at the leather belt that was nearly ten centimeters long and two centimeters deep, Adams couldn¡¯t help but suck in a cold breath. This leather belt was extremely tough and could be used to hang three adult villains without stopping. It was difficult for a normal knife to cut through it. At most, it would only leave some moderate scratches. But now, with just a single attack from a small bee, it was about to be split into two. ¡°Too strong!¡± Adams could not help but think: ¡®What if the stinger was aimed at a human¡¯s throat?!¡¯ Adams could almost instantly associate the scene of a broken throat, torn skin, and blood spurting out for two meters, dying the entire floor red. Moreover, it was only a small bee! Who would have too much guard against a small bee?! It could be said that with the current lethality and stealth of the small bee, it couldn¡¯t dare to assassinate those rich politicians who had strict security measures. Just those ordinary people who didn¡¯t have too much guard, the bumblebee could kill them one by one! And it could completely escape without anyone noticing! Imagine a rich man having a party at his house with a few of his friends and even a dozen of them. At the door stood several serious-looking, heavily armed bodyguards. He was drinking, chatting, dancing, and popping champagne in the line, feeling extremely at ease and relaxed. Then, a small bee flew into his house unsteadily, and the deafening sound of the DJ drowned out the ¡°Buzz¡±. In the midst of the music, the little bee aimed at his throat. Then, it swooped down and instantly cut a big hole in his throat. Blood spurted out and dyed his friend¡¯s terrified face a layer of bright red¡ ¡°This is too terrifying!¡± Adams¡¯ body trembled. Just thinking about this terrifying scene made him feel afraid. ¡°But, it¡¯s too wonderful!¡± A look of madness appeared in Adams¡¯ eyes. The more terrifyingly his pet evolved, the better his life would be! Luxurious cars, mansions, money, beautiful women¡ It was as if everything was waving at him enthusiastically. As for the lives of others? What does this have to do with me?! ¡°So next, it¡¯s time for me to begin my path as an assassin.¡± Adams calmed himself down and discovered another problem. ¡°I¡¯ve just transmigrated to this world, and I still don¡¯t know where to receive bounty missions?¡± [Respected host, your humble servant will guide your footsteps.] The system replied respectfully, and then a piece of information appeared in Adams¡¯ mind. Adams poured himself a cup of coffee and sat down to digest the information in his mind. In this world, there was something called the Dark Net. It was actually an assassination website. As long as you paid, you could assassinate anyone¡¯s life on it. It didn¡¯t matter if he was a police officer, a doctor, or a nurse. It didn¡¯t matter if he was a political elite, a wolf of Wall Street, or a big shot in the military. As long as you could afford a price, an assassin would accept the mission and take his life! This website was extremely mysterious. Only with the approval of an internal member could one register an account and become a one-star assassin of the lowest level. After that, one could start to view the mission, accept the mission, complete the mission, submit the mission, and receive the reward. Ordinary people had no way of knowing about the existence of this website. Only some people with connections, family background, and background knew about it. [Since you¡¯ve just arrived in this world and don¡¯t have any relevant knowledge, I¡¯ve already registered an account for you.] [All you need to do is log in and pick a mission.] [At the same time, for your safety, I¡¯ve erased the IP address and made a virtual bank card for you.] [After this bank card receives the remittance information, it will deposit all the money into the card within one minute and no one will discover it.] After hearing the system¡¯s words, Adams¡¯ mood finally began to brighten. ¡°You¡¯re finally useful.¡± Adams got up and poured himself another cup of black coffee. Then, he took out his laptop and logged into [World Bounty] according to the system¡¯s information and a series of cumbersome procedures. The moment he entered the website, a pale and bloody skull appeared on the screen. It looked extremely terrifying. Then, the skull slowly faded, and the entire official website page appeared in front of Adams. ¡°It¡¯s actually not much different from an ordinary website?¡± Adams was surprised because he actually saw many familiar modules on the website. For example, [Today¡¯s News], [Killer Rankings], [Killer Rising Stars], [Official Announcement], [Major Events], and so on. There was even a [Killer Jokes]. ¡°Is this really a top-tier website that focuses on killing people? Why does it feel like it¡¯s not much different from those entertainment websites?¡± Adams complained helplessly. At this moment, he did not realize that in the eyes of some people¡ Killing people was entertainment. Chapter 5 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL Adams opened his personal information and discovered that he was currently a Grade-D assassin. This was not surprising. After all, he had not accepted a single mission yet, much less completed it. Then, Adams began to browse through the website. He first learned some basic information about this industry. After half an hour of careful reading, Adams slowly understood everything. The [World Bounty] was global. It was organized in almost every country in the world. There were different levels of people, and there were also differences in industries. And in the assassin industry, there were also levels. For example, some assassins were extremely powerful, experienced, and did things flawlessly. They completed a lot of tasks, and the success rate of the tasks was very high. And the important missions issued by the clients were also hoped to be done by these people. Hence, there was a classification of levels. [World Bounty] set an initial level for each newly registered assassin ¡ª D-Rank assassin. As the number of missions completed increased, the level would continue to rise. Starting from D-Rank assassin, C-Rank, B-Rank¡ The highest grade would be SSS-Rank assassins. As for S-Rank and above assassins, they could also be collectively called legendary assassins. [World Bounty] would provide them with an official title, making them famous in the world of assassins, and even the entire world. Mission levels were also divided according to this grade. They were divided into D-Grade missions, C-Grade missions, B-Grade missions¡ All the way to SSS-Grade missions. Different mission difficulty also represented different mission rewards. In the entire platform, the D-Rank mission with the lowest reward was at least 100,000 USD. Those top-tier S-Rank missions, or even SS and SSS missions, had rewards of tens of millions, hundreds of millions, or even billions of USD. There was a certain limit to accepting missions. Assassins who were not of sufficient level could not accept higher level missions. For example, a D-Grade assassin could only accept higher-level missions, but not above C-Grade ones. This meant that every level of assassin could only accept missions that were one level higher than their own. If one wanted to accept higher-level missions, they could only try their best to increase their assassin level. If one did not accept missions and went to kill people, even if the mission was completed, the officials would not reward them. In the words of the [Dark Net]: No matter if you are a great master or not, when you first entered this line of work, you were a rookie. And rookies have to follow the rules. And this, this is the rule of this line of work. Adams didn¡¯t care too much about these rules. Because, when you don¡¯t have the strength, of course you have to follow the rules. But when he had the power to rule the world¡ What were the rules? Were they edible? After understanding the rules, Adams clicked on the reward list. It was the mission list. As soon as he clicked on it, a choice popped up. He could choose the location of the mission. Since there was light in every corner of the world, it meant there was darkness. Therefore, for killers, every country and region had its business. Adams first observed his current situation. He could not find much money in his pocket, and it was difficult to go to another city, let alone a foreign country. Although the Bumblebee had undergone a large degree of evolution, it was still just a bee. With its flying time and lifespan, it was completely unrealistic to let it fly far away to carry out missions. Under such circumstances, Adams did not hesitate to pick the location of the mission in the United States, followed by his own continent, and then his own city. He wanted to start his first operation in this city! He opened the mission list. There were only three missions in this small city: [D-Rank Reward: Gang Member] Reward: 200,000 USD. [D-Rank Reward: Lawyer] Reward: 100,000 USD. [D-Rank Reward: Police] Reward: 150,000 USD. ¡ Because the officials did not know if you would accept the mission or not, and also because they did not want to alert the person who was being rewarded, the platform would not give you any detailed information. It would only give you the amount of the reward and the basic identity of the person. After seeing the three bounties, Adams didn¡¯t think too much about it. He directly chose the first mission, the mission of a gang member. There was no reason. It was simply because he had a lot of money. ¡°Do you accept this mission?¡± A notification box popped up. ¡°Confirmed.¡± The mission was successfully accepted. And when he accepted the mission, Adams couldn¡¯t help but curse the platform¡¯s officials. Why? Because the reward for a D-Rank assassin was 50% off. To put it simply, if he could get 200,000, the platform could get 200,000. The total reward for this mission was 400,000 dollars. It was 50-50. If you wanted to reduce the commission, you had to work hard to raise your assassin level. If you become a C-Rank killer, then the platform¡¯s commission will go from 50% to 40%. If you become a B-Rank killer, then the platform¡¯s commission will go from 40% to 30%. And so on, and so on, and so on, and so on. Until you become an S-Rank killer and above, then the platform¡¯s commission for you is only 10%. [World Assassins] could earn a lot just by killing. And on the path of growth of those top assassins, who knew how many bounties would be taken away by them. This number was immeasurable. ¡°Sooner or later, I will turn you around!¡± Adams estimated the huge amount of income of the [World Dark Net] officials and the large amount of rewards he would get in the future. He couldn¡¯t help but gnash his teeth in hatred. Adams made up his mind that he would set up an organization similar to the [Dark Net] in the future and take commission from others! But before that, he still had to complete the first mission. With the powerful Bumblebee, Adams had full confidence in his first mission. He dragged his thoughts back and lit up a cigarette. He began to check the details of the mission target sent from the platform: [Bob Joseph] Identity: The leader of the Muskegon local gang, one of the rulers of this small city. Places of Origin: Nightclubs, bars, docks. Main Situation: He has more than 20 men under him, and he has all kinds of guns. His main businesses are drugs, prostitution, and violent extortion. He will carry guns with him, and he will bring a bunch of his underlings with him wherever he goes. Mission Requirements: Please complete the mission within a week. Click submit after the completion of the mission. We will verify this. If the verification is successful, the money will be transferred within an hour. Remember, do not try to play tricks. Before this news appeared, a lot of idiots tried to deceive us. The result¡ Guess? Chapter 6 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL Adams read the target¡¯s details. There was nothing more to say, and he immediately began to prepare for action. He had just received the system in the afternoon, and he was ready to begin his first mission at 7 p.m. According to the intelligence reports, the target, Joseph, would go to a bar under his name to have fun almost every day. So, Adams just needed to go to the bar and wait patiently. If he was lucky, he would be able to kill him directly. If he was unlucky, it didn¡¯t matter if he didn¡¯t get to kill today. He still had a whole week left. This guy would definitely not be able to escape from his grasp. Of course, if he could complete the task as soon as possible, that would be the best. Feeling the few loose bills in his pocket, Adams was extremely eager for the money that countless people were chasing after. It was because it could cause countless whores to scream and make those bastards lie down and lick their shoes willingly. He went out and hailed a cab before arriving at the destination bar. This made Adams¡¯ already thin wallet become even thinner. ¡°If I don¡¯t complete this mission, I won¡¯t even have the money to eat.¡± Adams entered the bar and observed his surroundings. It was only around 7:30 am, and there were not many people. When he entered the bar, there were a few young men and women wriggling on the dance floor in the middle. They swayed their bodies wantonly along with the explosive music. Their palms searched each other¡¯s bodies wildly as they kissed each other passionately. The interior of the bar was old, in the style of the 1990s. There were a few black men in the booth on the left, and a few bottles of cheap ale on the table. All of them were bald and muscular, with dark skin and tattooed arms. They were not to be trifled with. There were few of them, but they were imposing. They were drinking and chatting. At the same time, they were looking at the people in the bar with an aggressive gaze. On the right side of the booth were some white ruffians. They also had tattoos all over their backs. Their hair was wild and their bodies were full of muscles. Compared to the black gangs, they were much more numerous. The atmosphere was more relaxed. They were fighting and drinking with each other. They were saying some dirty jokes and swearing from time to time. Their hands were playing games such as poker or dice games. On the table were stacks of green dollar bills that were used as gambling funds. Two or three scantily dressed bunny girls carried wine trays and walked back and forth in the bar, serving drinks to the bar¡¯s customers. When they passed by those ruffians or gang members, they would often be slapped on the buttocks by one or two or three big hands, setting off a wave of seductive buttocks. The men present stared at him, then gulped down a large glass of beer with a parched mouth, indirectly driving the bar¡¯s consumption. There were only a few people sitting on the bar¡¯s high platform, only a few customers. Adams entered the bar as usual, not attracting anyone¡¯s attention. He first sat at the bar casually, ordered a glass of wine, and then lowered his head to play with his phone. He had only come in to scout the area first. After sitting for a while, he would finish drinking a glass of wine and then leave. After a while, a red wavy-haired woman with heavy makeup and revealing clothes walked over and sat down beside Adams. She first lit up a cigarette, blew out a ring of smoke, and ordered a glass of wine. Perhaps it was Adams¡¯ young and handsome face that caught her attention. After taking a sip of wine, she began to strike up a conversation with Adams. ¡°Hi, Handsome. Are you alone?¡± ¡°Yes.¡± Adams did not even look at her. He shook the wine glass in his hand that was still half full and nodded casually. He was thinking that it should be about time for him to leave. ¡°Do you have time to come to my house? Let me buy you a drink?¡± The red-haired woman smiled charmingly. Her long legs, which were wrapped in black silk fishnet stockings, rubbed against Adams¡¯ right leg under the bar counter. ¡°No, thank you.¡± Adams turned his head to look at her, then rejected her with a smile. He had business to attend to today, and such a casual woman was not his type either. After finishing the wine in his glass, Adams pretended to answer the phone and walked out of the bar. He did not attract anyone¡¯s attention. ¡°What a pity.¡± The red-haired woman looked at Adams¡¯ back as he left with regret. This handsome young man had indeed caught her interest. She might even give him a free night if he wanted. Adams stepped out of the bar and sat down in an obscure corner across from the table. He could control the bee from a distance, but he didn¡¯t want to attract attention. Who cared about a young man with a cellphone even if he was handsome? Around 9:30 pm, a Hummer pulled up from the corner of the bar. Adams narrowed his eyes. This was the car his target, Joseph, was driving! Joseph walked into the bar with a cigarette dangling from his mouth. He had three or four underlings with him, and they all had guns on them. As he watched them enter the bar, Adams reached into his pocket. When he took it out again, there was a small bee lying on his index finger. It was Bumblebee. Adams gave the order to Bumblebee. He flew into the bar to investigate the situation and then prepared to carry out the order at any time. Bumblebee took off from Adams¡¯ index finger and flapped its wings. In just a few seconds, it flew into the bar from the opposite corner of the street. The distance of dozens of meters had been covered in the blink of an eye, indicating its extremely fast flying speed. The bee flew past the bar¡¯s door and the corridor. It flew above the red-haired woman who was being hugged by a well-dressed man. It flew past the men and women who were swaying their bodies restlessly on the dance floor. Then, it stopped on top of a chandelier on the ceiling. The black gangs that drank, the white boys that played cards, the bunny girls that moved through the crowd, everything was as normal as it had been for Adams. Chapter 7 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL ¡°Activate the spiritual connection.¡± Adams gave the order in his heart. The spiritual connection allowed Adams to connect with the animals and share their views and sounds. Adams could also feel what was happening in front of the animals. After he made the spiritual connection with Bumblebee, everything in the bar was broadcasted to Adams¡¯ mind through Bumblebee¡¯s perspective. When Joseph walked into the bar, the black gang members, who had fierce looks on their faces, relaxed and greeted him warmly, calling each other brothers. The white ruffians held up poker cards and money, inviting him to play there. The bunny girls who brought the wine also held up their wine trays and trotted over to surround him, toasting him. Joseph laughed and pinched their butts, then took out a few bills and inserted them into their white and tall breasts, touching them again. Whether it was black gang members, white ruffians, or some guests who just came to drink, they were all welcoming him warmly. Even the tourists who did not know him cast envious and admiring gazes at him at this time. Joseph was like a king patrolling his country, receiving the gazes of countless admirers. He was intoxicated by this feeling, which was one of the reasons why he came here often. Because he was the only king in this bar that he owned. While Joseph enjoyed the cheers of the crowd, Adams, who had watched it all through bumblebee, frowned. In his mind, information about Joseph began to surface. Bob Joseph had started out as a punk who had dropped out of school. He took his brothers and wandered the streets, doing nothing all day. Smoking, drinking, drugs, stealing, promiscuity¡ He lived like countless other confused young men. When he was 20 years old, he was sentenced to five years in prison for theft. After he got out of prison, he was sent to prison for drugs and robbery. When he got out of prison, he was already in his 30s, and he still had nothing to show for it. But it was such a coincidence that one day, while he was stealing a car, he met a middle-aged man who was being hunted by a local gang. Joseph had been bullied by a local gang before, so he gave him a ride and helped him escape. After that, Joseph learned that this man was actually a big shot in a gang in New York. He came here just to travel and relax. He didn¡¯t expect to be robbed by a local gang while he was out drinking. Two of his men, who were resisting with guns, were shot to death after they shot a few people. He also escaped because of the desperate protection of another man. If Joseph hadn¡¯t stolen a car and saved him, he would have been drowned at the bottom of the sea. After the man was saved, he called his gang through Joseph¡¯s cell phone. After that, he attacked and easily massacred the upper echelons of the local gang. Z-City was only a small city. There wasn¡¯t much money to be gained, and that man didn¡¯t like it. Therefore, Joseph, who had helped him before, naturally became the boss here and managed everything for him. After witnessing the power of the New York gang, the remaining members of the local gang didn¡¯t dare to resist at all. They all chose to surrender to Joseph and listen to his orders. In this way, Joseph rose to the sky in one step. In one night, he went from a down-and-out man in his thirties who had nothing, to the gang leader of this small city. After becoming a gang leader, Joseph¡¯s pent-up desire was released. He took over the casino and collected money in the casino. When he lost, he refused to pay. Anyone who dared to ask him for money would be beaten and thrown out. He took over the brothel. He played with every woman there. Sometimes, he would have sex parties and call ten prostitutes at a time where he was the only man. He began to use drugs in large quantities again, and he wanted to play with more women and gamble for more money. If anyone dared to disobey his orders, he would beat them to death or break their arms and legs. He would not allow anyone to disobey him. Later, when he was tired of playing with women in the brothel, he began to reach out to ordinary women. First, he had his men lure some men to the casino to gamble. At first, he would give them a little reward, but when they thought they could make a lot of money and went crazy, he would cheat and make them lose all their money. Then, he introduced the lending service in the casino. He lured them to borrow money to gamble and make a comeback to win back the money they had lost. The people who were fooled by them continued to gamble after they borrowed a lot of money. Unsurprisingly, they soon lost all their money. At that time, the contract that had been promised to be a low-interest loan suddenly became a high-interest loan. It had to be paid back ten times in three days. Of course, those people wouldn¡¯t be able to repay it, so Joseph asked their women or wives to be prostitutes to pay back the money. If they were willing, it would be fine, but if they weren¡¯t willing, they would directly chop off their fingers one by one. At this time, there were basically no men who could withstand it. Even if there were still men who could withstand it, even if they were willing to die, Joseph only needed to take a video and send their fingers to their families. At this time, their daughters or wives would come over and be prostitutes to help them pay back the money. Even if they didn¡¯t come, they had already swindled them out of a lot of money through the casino, so they wouldn¡¯t lose anything. This was simply a business with capital and profit. As for the police? Sorry, Joseph had already bought over the mayor of this city. The mayor, the police chief, and Joseph had already been seen having dinner together. For the mayor, gangs had always existed. Now, it was just a change of boss, no different from before. The only difference was that Joseph was more sensible than the previous boss, paid more money, and they were more satisfied with him. In this way, Joseph did all kinds of evil in this small city, which could be described as lawless. At night, he got the single female tourists who came to the bar drunk, drugged them, and then left safely. Sometimes he would take a video for himself to enjoy. When the female tourists woke up, all they could see was their naked, scarred body and the spots between their legs that had been left behind. If they chose not to go to the police, nothing happened. If they did, the police would show them what an ¡®unsolved case¡¯ was. Chapter 8 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL For Joseph, no matter what he did, even if something really happened in the end, the most he could do was to have his underlings take the blame and lock them up in the police station in Z-City. The police chief was one of Joseph¡¯s accomplices. He was not even locked up for a year before the underling who took the blame came out. He was also highly valued by Joseph, causing his brothers to be envious and eager to help Joseph take the blame. Joseph became more and more arrogant. Later, he even dared to drive around the city during the day. When he saw a beautiful woman who was alone, he would drag her into the car, knock her out with knockout drugs, and then rape her. He dared to kidnap someone and rape her in broad daylight. This matter eventually became very big and aroused public resentment. The criminals were persecuted by people all over the city, vowing to bring the villain to justice. Later, with the help of the mayor and the police chief, as well as the man from the New York Gang, Joseph was bailed out, and one of his underlings took the blame for him and was sentenced to life in prison. At the same time, they warned Joseph not to go too far. After that incident, Joseph also became a little more low-key, but was still very arrogant. Those who knew about the incident were even more amazed by Joseph¡¯s background. To be able to escape unscathed after doing such a thing, just how deep was Joseph¡¯s background?! Thus, Joseph¡¯s notoriety reached its peak, and people became even more afraid of him, not daring to provoke him in the slightest. Speaking of which, just as Adams was recalling Joseph¡¯s information. The main character of the story, Joseph, was sitting on the bar counter, hugging a scantily clad blonde girl and drinking without restraint. His big hands were moving up and down, and below him, his underlings were cheering wildly. Joseph was so excited that he directly picked up a bottle of wine and poured it over the girl¡¯s body. The wine instantly soaked her entire hot body. A strong desire ignited in Joseph¡¯s eyes, and his originally bloodshot eyes looked even redder. He had already done it twice in the morning, and now he wanted it again. With a ripping sound, he tore off the bra of the fiery girl and out jumped her full and wet chest. The tip of his nipples was already swollen with blood, and dark red wine dripped from it. Under the light, it looked like two magnificent rubies. Joseph could not hold it in any longer. Under the cheers of his underlings, he pounced on them like a hungry wolf, crazily nibbling at the attractive pair of white rabbits in front of him. The girl also let out a moan that sounded like pain or pleasure. She hugged Joseph with both hands and tried her best to cater to his movements. This made Joseph¡¯s bestial nature erupt. The strength of his rubbing hands and sucking in his mouth increased again. The blonde girl also started to cry out in real pain, but all of this was useless. Joseph was still crazily venting his bestial nature. She didn¡¯t dare to resist because the last person who resisted was already been a prostitute in the brothel for a month. Every day, she would receive more than 20 clients. No one would care about her feelings, because the eyes of the crowd were only filled with endless lust and madness. They just wanted to see a performance. The two obscene people on the bar, the screaming audience under the bar, the dazzling lights, the deafening music¡ All of this made a lewd and crazy scene. Joseph stood up and looked at the cheering crowd with his red eyes. He felt that he was being chased by thousands of people, and he enjoyed the feeling of being watched by thousands of people. This was more intoxicating than the whole bag of heroin he had just smoked! Yes, he had just smoked a whole bag of heroin in the car. He pushed the blonde away and started to take off his jeans Today, he was going to show off in front of his little brother and the customers in the bar. He was going to perform a live broadcast show! He was going to let the audience know what it meant to be majestic and strong! He was going to let everyone know that he was the owner of this bar! He was the king of this bar! Just as Joseph was going crazy on stage after taking too many drugs and taking off his jeans, he was about to do a live broadcast. Adams, who was calmly observing him through Bumblebee, had a flash of light in his eyes. This was his chance! Joseph was pushing the blonde away, then he bent down and took off his pants. The door was wide open, and there were flaws everywhere. He was surrounded by the crowd and his underlings, so he was not on guard at all. The bright lights on the bar counter happened to be the perfect environment to hide Bumblebee¡¯s figure ¡ª now was the best opportunity! ¡°Bumblebee!¡± Adams directly gave the order in his heart! ¡°Buzz Buzz!¡± Bumblebee sprinted down from more than a meter above Joseph. Its target was Joseph¡¯s throat. The buzzing sound of its wings was like the death knell ringing! In the blink of an eye, Bumblebee cut Joseph¡¯s throat and left like lightning. ¡°Pfft¨C¡± The sound of flesh and blood being cut rang out. Only Adams and Joseph could hear it. The reason why Adams could hear it was because he could sense what was happening around Bumblebee. The reason why Joseph could hear it was because it was cut. It happened to be his throat. Joseph¡¯s body suddenly froze. When the cheering crowd saw that Joseph had suddenly stopped moving, the cheers quickly faded away. Dozens of pairs of puzzled eyes stared at Joseph, not knowing what he was doing. ¡ After Bumblebee completed the lightning strike, he immediately flew out of the bar at an extremely fast speed. Adams stood up from the side of the road, lit a cigarette as if nothing had happened, and then slowly walked away. At this time, the people outside the bar had no idea what was going on inside the bar. Even the people inside the bar did not know. Adams took out his phone and logged into the [Dark Net]. Then, he clicked ¡®submit¡¯ to complete the task. Then, he put the phone back into his pocket and left the place while puffing out smoke rings. Bumblebee quickly followed him and landed on his shoulder. The stinger reflected a trace of red light. ¡ Inside the bar. In the DJ room, under the dazzling lights and the enthusiastic cheers of the audience, Joseph suddenly froze when he took off his pants. The originally enthusiastic crowd also looked at his movement in puzzlement. A fine line of blood appeared from his throat, and bright red blood slowly seeped out. He felt that his neck seemed to be in some pain, but he also felt that his whole body was starting to feel cold. Signs of uneasiness welled up in his heart. Something bad was about to happen. Or, it had already happened. ¡°Joseph¡¯s neck! God, it looks like it¡¯s bleeding!¡± Chapter 9 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL A sharp-eyed guest saw the abnormality on Joseph¡¯s neck. A thin dark red line appeared on Joseph¡¯s neck. It looked extremely abnormal. ¡°Uh¡¡± Joseph covered his neck with both hands. He felt that it was getting more and more painful. Moreover, something was flowing down. When he stretched out his hand to take a look, it was a shocking red color. ¡°Blood¡ It¡¯s blood¡¡± Joseph¡¯s pupils instantly dilated. Where did the blood come from on his neck? The hand that was covering his neck exerted even more force, trying to stop the blood. However, by accident, his fingers peeled open the wound that was originally just a thin line and penetrated into his neck. He felt warm liquid, pieces of flesh, and seemed to feel many lines and tubes. Those were his blood vessels and trachea. ¡°Ho¨C Ho¨C¡± Joseph panted heavily. He felt that he could no longer breathe fresh air. Then, he began to walk towards the crowd. He opened his mouth to speak, wanting to seek help from the people. ¡°I¨C Ho¨C Help¨C Ho!¡± The severed trachea made it impossible for him to say a complete sentence. His actions earlier had also caused the wound on his neck to completely split open. Blood flowed down like water. ¡°Ah!¡± The crowd screamed as they watched Joseph, who was covered in blood, walk towards them. The timid ladies turned around and ran, while the brave men continued to retreat as Joseph walked towards them. ¡°Save¡ Save¡ !¡± Joseph felt his life draining away. He was going to die here very soon. All he wanted now was for these people to call an ambulance for him instead of backing away from him like he was doing now. Joseph was panting as he walked, his mouth and nose breathing heavily, greedily. He felt that his brain was starting to run out of oxygen. Because air could only enter his brain from his severed trachea, not his lungs. His entire body was like a dilapidated bellows. More and more blood flowed out. The amount of blood that flowed out of his body was several times more than the most generous man in the blood donation cart. Finally, he could not hold on any longer. ¡°Pu-!¡± He fell to the ground weakly, and the wound on his neck opened up because of his fall. His flesh and blood, his blood vessels, and his windpipe were displayed in front of his guests without reservation, bringing a truly spectacular show to his guests. ¡°Ah!¡± The crowd was filled with ear-piercing screams. The people could not accept and understand what was happening in front of them. Just a second ago, he was still fine. The biggest bully of Z-City, the one who had done all the bad things but was able to escape the law. The dignified leader of the gang of Z-City, Joseph, had died just like that?! Furthermore, the way he died was so miserable and terrifying. His entire throat had been slit open. It was almost as if he had wrapped it around his neck. It was as if half of his neck had been slit open. Joseph¡¯s blood vessels and trachea were exposed to the air, and fresh blood spurted out. His mouth was spitting out blood foam, and his body was twitching on the ground from time to time. Under such a terrifying scene, even those who had good mental fortitude were all pale-faced. Those who had poor mental fortitude had already run out of the place on the spot and started vomiting. Some even threw up on the spot. Those with even worse mental fortitude were so frightened that they fainted on the spot and lost consciousness. ¡°Hey, is that the police?! Come here quickly! Come here quickly!¡± ¡°Doctor! Doctor! Call a doctor!¡± ¡°Ambulance! We need an ambulance!¡± People shouted in panic, calling for an ambulance, calling for a police car, and finally, even the fire alarm of the fire department was called over. The entire scene became a mess¡ Adams, the instigator of the incident, had already returned home. He opened the door and entered the house. Adams first poured himself a cup of coffee, then touched his pocket to light a cigarette to calm himself down. But after touching for a long time, he only found an empty cigarette box. Adams smiled wryly. There were no more cigarettes. He wanted to go downstairs to buy cigarettes, but there was another problem ¡ª He had no money. Previously, he had taken a taxi to [Desire Night]. There was a taxi fare. Then, he ordered a glass of wine. Although it was only one glass, it wasn¡¯t cheap. Finally, he took a taxi back. The money in Adams¡¯ pocket wasn¡¯t even enough to order a cup of coffee from the coffee shop. ¡°I don¡¯t know when the audit will be completed. It¡¯s only after confirming that I¡¯ve completed the task that they will send me a remittance.¡± Adams sat on the sofa and turned on the television. He tried to watch those boring television programs to relieve his boredom. It was his first time killing someone. Although he was a little nervous, the feeling of surprise wasn¡¯t bad. Even though it was his first time killing someone, Adams didn¡¯t have the disgusting feelings and guilt that others had described in novels and television dramas. Perhaps he was born to do this. Since he had killed a notorious villain, he didn¡¯t feel any burden at all. When he thought about the 100,000 USD that he was about to receive, Adams¡¯ heart burned with passion. 100,000 USD. An ordinary person would need to work for countless months to earn it, and the time he spent to earn it was only an afternoon! Ding! The notification and vibration of the cell phone on the table caught Adams¡¯ attention. Could it be that the bounty had arrived?! Chapter 10 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL Adams jumped up from the sofa, excitedly picked up his phone, and opened the message. ¡°Your bank card has received 100,000 USD. The balance is 100,000 USD.¡± As the bank card was a virtual card provided by the system, it did not show the card number or other things, only the money coming in and out. ¡°Nice!¡± This was money that ordinary people might not be able to save even after working for years! Adams immediately picked up his phone and ran downstairs to the supermarket. He jogged all the way to the supermarket and shouted to the salesperson, ¡°Give me two of your most expensive cigarettes!¡± Under the salesperson¡¯s shocked gaze, Adams paid the bill and ran home with two packs of cigarettes in his hands. Pa¨C Adams took out a cigarette, lit it with a lighter, and took a big drag. ¡°Phew¨C I¡¯m feeling better!¡± Adams blew out a large smoke ring and revealed a satisfied smile. ¡°These expensive cigarettes are indeed different from those cheap cigarettes.¡± ¡°It¡¯s great to be rich!¡± ¡°I wonder how the bar is doing.¡± Adams took out his phone and began to look for relevant news. He searched for a long time but could not find it. That was true. After all, he had only died a few hours ago. It would take time for others to come over to shoot, edit, and publish. He would look at it tomorrow. It was already midnight. Adams was tired after the day¡¯s activities. He went to the bathroom to take a shower and lay down comfortably on his phone to sleep. At this moment, a message was sent to Adams¡¯ social media account. ¡°Hey Adams, something big has happened in our Z-City. You definitely don¡¯t know!¡± The message was from a Caucasian guy named Peter, who was Adams¡¯ friend and brother. Adams raised his eyebrows. He had guessed what Peter wanted to say, but he still tapped on the screen a few times and replied, ¡°Oh? What¡¯s so urgent?¡± A few seconds after the message was sent, Peter¡¯s reply came: ¡°Do you know Joseph?¡± Adams continued to reply: ¡°Of course I know. He¡¯s the boss of the underground gang in Z-City.¡± Peter¡¯s reply was almost instantaneous. Even through the screen, Adams could imagine that this kid must be showing off. ¡°Hehe, guess what happened to him?¡± Adams continued to play dumb. ¡°Oh? What happened to him?¡± This time, it took more than half a minute for Peter to reply. It was as if he was organizing his words. ¡°He¡¯s dead!¡± ¡°After he finished drinking today, he smoked some heroin in the car and then went to his sex bar to play.¡± ¡°You know he¡¯s like this. He¡¯s like this every day.¡± When Adams saw this message, he held his forehead. This Peter was starting to repeat his old habit of being long-winded. Peter was a very loyal person. He was also very good to Adams. However, he was talkative and liked to talk a lot. When he spoke, he would often fall into a state of self-ecstasy. He did not care whether others could take it or not. ¡°He takes drugs every day and plays with women. I knew that he would die sooner or later, but I did not expect this bastard to be here today.¡± ¡°First, he entered the bar, and then he waved to say hello, just like the last time I went to his bar.¡± ¡°Then he went up and found a woman. Yes, he does this every day.¡± ¡°Then he poured all the wine on that woman. That bottle of red wine cost a few hundred dollars. F*ck, what a waste. But it was nothing to him.¡± ¡°Then he buried his head in that woman¡¯s chest and chewed on it. You know, it was like a big bad wolf eating a little white rabbit.¡± ¡°Then he pushed that woman away and was about to take off his pants.¡± ¡°At that time, this guy definitely wanted to perform a live broadcast show. Definitely!¡± ¡°Then, when he pushed that woman away and started to take off his pants, do you know what happened?¡± Peter paused for a moment, as if waiting for Adams to reply. However, Adams was already used to his tricks and didn¡¯t type at all. Sure enough, half a minute later, Peter sent another message: ¡°F*ck, can you ask me?!¡± ¡°Alright, I¡¯ll get straight to the point. That guy suddenly froze when he took off his pants. He didn¡¯t move at all.¡± ¡°Then, a bloody scar appeared on his neck. Blood flowed out from his neck.¡± ¡°At that time, people thought that they had seen wrongly. Then, Joseph started to touch his neck.¡± ¡°This poor guy didn¡¯t know what happened. He directly stuck his finger into his neck. Did you know that?¡± ¡°He touched his own blood vessels and trachea, which gave him a fright!¡± ¡°Then he started to pant, and he kept panting, and he was panting loudly.¡± ¡°His voice was like the broken wind turbine in my grandfather¡¯s house.¡± ¡°Then he covered his neck with one hand and ran into the crowd with the other hand.¡± ¡°While running, he shouted for people to save him.¡± ¡°This scared them so much that they scattered and ran away. They didn¡¯t have time to save him.¡± ¡°Moreover, he looked like he couldn¡¯t be saved even if God came.¡± ¡°In the end, he fell to the ground. It doesn¡¯t matter if he fell. The wound on his neck opened up.¡± ¡°His neck split open like a flower. Half of his neck was open. The things inside his neck, such as blood, flesh, blood vessels, trachea, and so on, were all seen.¡± ¡°At that time, more than ten people fainted on the spot. More than ten people ran over to vomit.¡± ¡°Only a few people were left. Their faces were also pale.¡± ¡°Then they called the police. The police, doctors, nurses, and fire brigade all came. Even the mayor came!¡± ¡°I heard that the mayor was having a tryst with his lover at that time. He rushed over without even putting on his pants. When he saw this scene, he was so scared that he wet his pants.¡± ¡°Joseph just had dinner with him two days ago!¡± ¡°Then the police cordoned off the entire scene and stopped everyone at the scene. They didn¡¯t let them go. They said that they were all suspected of committing a major crime.¡± ¡°Would those people be willing? They were just scared and then they were stopped by the police and refused to go home. I would be angry too.¡± ¡°Then, someone took the lead and charged at the police cordon. Then, they were shot to death by the police. It was a direct shot to the head. It was really clear-cut.¡± ¡°Then, the crowd was scared to death. They immediately rushed forward like a swarm of bees. The police couldn¡¯t stop them. It was useless to shoot a few people to death.¡± ¡°The police are still checking the surveillance cameras and arresting people one by one.¡± ¡°Oh, I understand.¡± Ignoring Peter¡¯s long-winded words, Adams calmly put down his phone. ¡®None of this has anything to do with me.¡¯ ¡°Sleep.¡± Adams snuggled up in bed comfortably and fell asleep. Chapter 11 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL ¡°Ah¨C¡± The next morning, Adams sat up from his bed and stretched his back beautifully. Then, he got out of bed, brushed his teeth, and washed his face. He put on his clothes and prepared to go out. He was going to school. His current identity was still that of a university student. The reason why he didn¡¯t need to go to school a few days ago was because it was a holiday. Today was the start of school. In his previous life, he had never been to university. Now, he wanted to experience university life. Adams went out for a ride. After some time, he arrived at the university entrance. Peter was squatting at the university entrance. When he saw Adams get out of the car, he quickly ran over. ¡°Hey, Buddy!¡± Adams nodded calmly. ¡°Why have you become so calm recently?¡± Peter scratched his head. He felt that Adams was different from before. He had become much calmer. ¡°Really?¡± Adams lit up a cigarette. He did not confirm or deny it. Peter did not care too much. He was a rough guy to begin with. At this moment, a beautiful car stopped beside Adams and the two of them. ¡°Hey guys. How was your vacation?¡± The window rolled down, and an annoying face popped out ¡ª Ken Gerrard. ¡°I accompanied my father to Las Vegas for vacation. I said I didn¡¯t want to go, but he insisted on taking me there.¡± ¡°No choice then, I¡¯ll go. I didn¡¯t expect to make a small fortune there. Do you think I¡¯m very lucky?¡± Gerrard said as he got out of the car. ¡°What about you? Did you go somewhere to play?¡± This question was obviously not with good intentions, because everyone knew Adams¡¯ family situation. He was a relatively poor one and could not afford to go anywhere to travel. Peter frowned and answered loudly, ¡°Adams and I went to New York for a vacation. It¡¯s a big city. It¡¯s very fun.¡± ¡°Really?¡± Gerrard¡¯s eyes looked back and forth between Peter and Adams. He doubted the authenticity of Peter¡¯s words. ¡°You doubt what I said?¡± Peter saw the look in Gerrard¡¯s eyes and became anxious on the spot. He quickly took out his cell phone and showed Gerrard the photos he took when he was visiting New York. ¡°This is indeed New York.¡± Gerrard nodded. The photos were indeed pictures of Peter and various famous buildings in New York. He had been to New York before and could recognize them. ¡°Right?¡± Peter nodded proudly. Gerrard glanced at Adams who was smoking silently and blowing out a smoke ring. Then he asked Peter his own question. ¡°But, what about Adams?¡± ¡°Adams, he, he is helping me take photos.¡± Peter answered with a stutter, at the same time looking at Adams who was smoking calmly. Say something! I am helping you now! ¡°Are you done? I have to go to class.¡± Adams threw the cigarette butt into the trash can and walked directly to the university entrance. He had come here to experience the atmosphere of the university, not to chat with some idiots. Talking to such idiots was just a waste of his time. At this moment, three girls happened to run over from the other side of the school gate. The girl in the middle was about twenty years old. She had delicate features, a hot figure, and long black hair. She was a very attractive girl. The girls on the left and right were slightly different, but she was still considered a pretty girl. ¡°Hey, Adams, you¡¯re back!¡± The most attractive girl in the middle waved at Adams from afar with an excited look on her face. Her name was Jessica and she was Adams¡¯ classmate. Adams stopped in his tracks when he saw Jessica running toward him. ¡°Hi, Jessica.¡± Adams knew from his memory that this Jessica was quite nice to him and seemed to like him. Jessica¡¯s expression became even happier when she saw Adams greet her. Gerrard, who was beside her, didn¡¯t look too happy. Jessica was the prettiest girl in the class. Her grades were also very good. She was the secret crush of many students in the class. She was also one of his favorite girls. This morning, Gerrard had to beg his father for a long time before he could borrow these two luxurious cars. He had his father¡¯s chauffeur drive him around the school gate just so that when Jessica appeared, he could stop in front of her and strike up a conversation with her. But now, Jessica had come all the way here to greet the trash, Adams, and even took the initiative to come over. And he had come to school in such a luxurious car, yet she had turned a blind eye to him. How could Gerrard bear this? ¡°Jessica, long time no see.¡± Gerrard took the initiative to greet Jessica, trying to make her notice his luxurious car. ¡°Oh, it¡¯s Gerrard. Hello.¡± Jessica turned to look at Gerrard, but she appeared very cold. Compared to the warm attitude toward Adams, it was simply too far away. Gerrard¡¯s expression changed on the spot, and his face became very stiff. At this moment, the other two girls also ran over, panting. ¡°Phew¡ Phew¡ Jessica, you ran too fast, right?¡± ¡°Is there a need? You¡¯re so excited to see Adams.¡± The girl on the left had a few freckles on her face. Her name was Lacey. The girl on the right had a red ribbon tied on her head. Her name was Chris. ¡°What are you guys talking about?!¡± Jessica¡¯s face was slightly red as she pouted in an annoyed manner. Her big eyes stole glances at Adams again. When she saw that Adams did not make any reaction, she felt a little disappointed. ¡°Wow ¡ª These two cars are so beautiful! Are they yours?¡± Lacey saw the luxury car parked at the side and shouted exaggeratedly. ¡°Yes, this car is so beautiful!¡± Hearing Lacey¡¯s words, Chris also noticed the car and was surprised. ¡°Ahem, this car is mine.¡± Seeing that someone finally noticed his car, Gerrard was ecstatic, but he pretended to be very calm. ¡°Such a beautiful car, it must be very expensive, right?¡± Lacey kept circling around the luxury car, exclaiming from time to time. ¡°Not much, just close to one million.¡± Gerrard pretended to be indifferent, but there was a sense of pride and superiority in his words. ¡°One million!¡± Lacey and Chris¡¯ eyes almost popped out when they heard the number. ¡°Yes, it¡¯s not too expensive, but it¡¯s something that some people will never earn in their lifetime.¡± Gerrard looked at Adams as he spoke. The meaning of his words was very obvious. He wanted to use his money to make Adams lose face in front of Jessica! Chapter 12 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL ¡®How can this poor boy win Jessica¡¯s heart?¡¯ ¡®How can someone from my family be so rich, yet you don¡¯t even want to look at me?¡¯ ¡®Is it because Adams was handsome?¡¯ ¡®Jessica, I will let you know that in this society, money is everything!¡¯ Thoughts flew through Gerrard¡¯s mind. Jessica¡¯s affectionate attitude toward Adams and Adams¡¯ indifferent response to Jessica deeply hurt Gerrard¡¯s self-esteem. The goddess in his eyes had taken the initiative to please a poor boy, and that poor boy still acted as if it didn¡¯t matter? ¡®Jessica treated you this way, yet you didn¡¯t hurry up and be grateful. How dare you act so cold? Who do you think you are?!¡¯ ¡®You are just a poor boy who has no father, no mother, and a poor family!¡¯ ¡®Even if you¡¯re handsome, you¡¯re not worthy of Jessica¡¯s favor!¡¯ ¡®Jessica is mine!¡¯ Thinking of this, Gerrard¡¯s eyes became even gloomier. He wanted to let Adams make a fool of himself and let him deeply realize the gap between him and himself! After hearing Gerrard¡¯s words against Adams, Jessica¡¯s expression changed. She realized that Gerrard wanted to embarrass Adams. ¡°What do you mean by that?¡± Peter was also getting angry. He could not stand his brother being insulted. ¡°It¡¯s nothing. I just felt it. Don¡¯t take the initiative to scold me,¡± Gerrard said hypocritically, but he looked at Adams with even more disdain. Anyone could imagine who he was targeting. ¡°Gerrard, don¡¯t go too far!¡± Jessica said coldly. She absolutely could not see Adams being insulted like this. Seeing that Jessica was still defending Adams, Gerrard became even angrier. At the same time, he made up his mind to make Adams lose face today! ¡°What? Did I say something wrong?¡± Gerrard pretended to be innocent to show that he was completely unintentional. ¡°I think what Gerrard said makes some sense.¡± At this moment, Lacey, who had circled the limousine a few times, walked over and said seriously, ¡°Some people do not earn a million in their lifetime.¡± ¡°Some things do not exist when they are born, so they will not exist when they die.¡± Lacey observed Gerrard¡¯s expression as she spoke. After seeing the joy on Gerrard¡¯s face, she continued, ¡°Gerrard¡¯s family is so rich and handsome. Anyone who is his girlfriend would be so lucky!¡± Lacey said the disgusting words that even she felt shameless about as she slowly leaned towards the position where Gerrard was standing. This million-dollar limousine had already moved her. If she could be Gerrard¡¯s girlfriend, then she would be able to take this car out for a ride every day. By then, she would receive countless envious gazes and become famous in school! When Lacey finished speaking, Chris immediately stood on Gerrard¡¯s side. ¡°That¡¯s right, that¡¯s right. If I could be Gerrard¡¯s girlfriend, I would be so happy!¡± ¡°What¡¯s the use of just being handsome? They don¡¯t have any money in my pocket. If I were a poor person¡¯s girlfriend, I might not even be able to afford to eat. Who knows, I might be unlucky one day and starve to death.¡± Chris looked at Adams and Jessica as she spoke. Obviously, she was also on Gerrard¡¯s side. Gerrard was so rich, being his girlfriend would definitely not be a loss! ¡°You two!¡± Jessica looked at her two good friends who actually went over to help Gerrard deal with her and Adams. She was anxious and angry, but she didn¡¯t know what to do. ¡°Say another word?!¡± Peter¡¯s face was red. His friend had been insulted. How could he not say anything? Peter rushed to Gerrard and clenched his fist, ready to fight. ¡°Hehe, you have to think carefully about the price of hitting me?¡± Gerrard¡¯s face was full of sarcasm, and he seemed very confident. He was sure that Peter wouldn¡¯t dare to hit him. Sure enough, after hearing Gerrard¡¯s words, Peter¡¯s angry face became stiff. Gerrard¡¯s family was very rich, and it was said that they had some connections with the government. They were rich and powerful. But Peter¡¯s family was just an ordinary rich family. They had a little money, but they did not have any power. They could not beat Gerrard¡¯s family at all. He was not afraid. At worst, he would go to prison, but Peter was afraid that he would implicate his family. ¡°Hehe, if you don¡¯t dare to hit me, then put your hands down. Don¡¯t dirty my designer clothes with your dirty hands. Otherwise, you won¡¯t be able to pay for it!¡± Gerrard pushed Peter¡¯s hands away, tidied his clothes, and said, ¡°Next, who wants to go for a ride in my car?¡± Lacey and Chris were overjoyed. They had been waiting for this moment. ¡°I want to go!¡± ¡°I want to go!¡± The two replies sounded almost at the same time. ¡°What about you, Jessica?¡± Jessica glanced at Adams, whose face was calm as if he had not been affected at all. Then she turned her head to the other side and ignored Gerrard. ¡°Hmph!¡± Gerrard snorted and got into his luxury car. Lacey and Chris also got into the car quickly. They even almost fought over the front seat. The car started and began to circle around the school gate, attracting the surprised and envious eyes of countless students. What an expensive car! What a cool car! I really envy the people sitting in the car! Lacey and Chris, who were sitting in the car, rolled down the window so that they could see themselves outside, were also very excited at this moment. They saw their classmates¡¯ surprised and envious eyes on them, and their vanity was greatly satisfied. The two of them raised their heads, like two of the proudest peacocks. It was as if this car was their home. Gerrard was driving a luxury car with two beautiful girls in it. Feeling the envious gazes from his classmates, he could not help but feel very proud. ¡°Hmph, I told you to get in the car, Jessica. Do you regret it now?!¡± Adams, who had watched the whole farce without saying a word from the beginning to the end, just waved his hand lightly and said to Peter and Jessica, ¡°Let¡¯s go.¡± Then he walked toward the gate. No one noticed that at the moment he waved his hand, a little bee came out of his sleeve and flew toward Gerrard¡¯s luxury car with a buzzing sound. The grim reaper had his eyes on him! The Bumblebee easily caught up with the car. Then it aimed its tail needle at the tire and suddenly sprinted down! Chapter 13 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL Just as Gerrard was feeling very pleased with himself, the left front wheel of his car seemed to have a problem and started to slip. ¡°What¡¯s going on?!¡± Gerrard controlled the steering wheel in horror. He tried to regain control of the car. Just as he was about to stabilize the car, Bumblebee had already arrived at the right side of the car and aimed at its rear wheel. The stinger was aimed, and it sprinted at an extreme speed! The same routine was used a second time! But it was still very effective! The slashed rear wheels also lost control, forming a chain reaction with the front wheels. Because Gerrard was too complacent just now and the car was too fast, after two tires were destroyed consecutively, the car completely lost control in Gerrard¡¯s hands! ¡°Ah! No!¡± Under the horrified gazes of Gerrard, Lacey, and Chris, the car crashed into the wall by the side of the road. ¡°Bang!¡± The front of the car was completely ruined. It was unknown whether the people in the car were alive or dead. In short, they wouldn¡¯t feel too good. The loud noise in the distance attracted the heads of Peter and Jessica, who were currently walking on a small path in the campus. They asked curiously, ¡°What happened?¡± ¡°Nothing.¡± Adams shook his head and stretched out his right hand. A small bee flew back to his hand. ¡°Oh.¡± Peter nodded. He did not care about such things. ¡°Adams, are you okay? Actually, you don¡¯t have to take what Gerrard said to heart¡¡± Jessica carefully said to Adams, afraid that it would hurt his self-esteem. ¡°It¡¯s okay. This kind of thing doesn¡¯t affect me at all.¡± Adams waved his hand, looking indifferent. Jessica saw that Adams really didn¡¯t take it to heart, and she was also relieved in her heart. She smiled sweetly. ¡°Then I¡¯m relieved. By the way, have you prepared for the exam this afternoon?¡± ¡°The exam this afternoon?¡± Now, Adams¡¯ heart was really shaken. He had just transmigrated and had not reviewed at all. How could he take the exam? But then he touched the little head of Bumblebee in his hand ¡ª with Bumblebee around, it was no problem! So he said with a smile, ¡°Yes, I¡¯m ready.¡± ¡°That¡¯s good.¡± Jessica nodded with a smile and put the displeasure from earlier to the back of her mind. ¡°Eh? Isn¡¯t the little bee in your hand going to sting you?¡± ¡°No.¡± ¡°Wow ¡ª so cute!¡± ¡°I think so too.¡± ¡°I¡¯m talking about you.¡± ¡°¡¡± ¡ She came to the classroom and sat down. There were only a dozen or so people in the classroom now, sitting in small groups and chatting. No one noticed Adams because he had only two friends in the class, Peter and Jessica. He was in the fifth position in the third row. Adams found his seat and began to read. But he didn¡¯t understand anything. Not just because he was a traveler, but because the original Adams didn¡¯t understand either. After a while, the students came in one by one. Peter walked to Adams¡¯ seat and asked, ¡°Adams, are you going to get 10 or 20 points this time?¡± He and Adams had almost taken the last and second place in the class. They were good brothers. ¡°I¡¯ll pass,¡± Adams said calmly without any nervousness. ¡°Tsk.¡± Peter looked at Adams with disdain. He knew that Adams¡¯ level was about the same as his. ¡°I believe in you, Adams. You¡¯ll definitely pass!¡± Jessica, who was sitting in the front row, heard the conversation between the two and turned her head to say this. She looked very confident in Adams. ¡°Jessica, you can¡¯t be blindly confident in Adams just because you like him!¡± Peter rolled his eyes. He really didn¡¯t know what Jessica liked about Adams. ¡®I¡¯m not bad either. Why don¡¯t you like me?¡¯ ¡®Is it because Adams is handsome?¡¯ ¡®Come on, I¡¯m also very handsome. Why can¡¯t I get a girl to like me?!¡¯ Peter, who was very average-looking, didn¡¯t have a clear understanding of his looks. Jessica rolled her eyes at Peter. Her face red but she didn¡¯t deny it. At that moment, the teacher came in from the classroom, and everyone stopped talking. After the teacher said some irrelevant nonsense, the test began. The papers were quickly handed out, and everyone took out their pens and began to answer the questions. Adams looked at the papers on the table, and his head began to hurt. He could read the individual letters on the test, but he couldn¡¯t understand what they represented. He had no idea what each question meant, much less how to answer them. But it didn¡¯t matter. Adams thought to himself. Then a tiny bee flew out of his pocket, quiet and silent. A full-scale evolution was really was a full-scale evolution. Bumblebee could now control the vibrations and sounds of its flight, reducing them to a point where they would be less noticeable. If he didn¡¯t know, then he could just see what others wrote. Adams thought of something and let Bumblebee fly in Jessica¡¯s direction. Jessica¡¯s grades in class had always been at the top. Bumblebee buzzed past three classmates and stopped on top of Jessica, who was sitting in the front row. As Bumblebee had tried its best to control the vibration of its flight, no one noticed it. Bumblebee began to land. It slowly landed on Jessica¡¯s long black hair and poked its head out to look down. Adams activated his spiritual connection, and everything in Bumblebee¡¯s eyes was shared with Adams at the same time. ¡°No, the angle of view isn¡¯t good enough. I can¡¯t see anything, and I can¡¯t see clearly.¡± Adams frowned slightly, then continued to give orders. ¡°Bumblebee, go check on Jessica¡¯s shoulder.¡± Bumblebee, who had received the order, flew down from Jessica¡¯s head and slowly landed on Jessica¡¯s shoulder. He lowered his head and looked down. At that moment, what Adams saw began to change according to Bumblebee¡¯s movements. He finally saw the test paper. ¡°Alright, don¡¯t move. That¡¯s it.¡± Adams gave Bumblebee the order to stay put and then began to write the test paper. Because he copied directly from the test paper, his speed was very fast. He didn¡¯t even think before writing. Soon, the entire test paper was filled up. Adams¡¯ action immediately attracted the invigilator¡¯s attention. Chapter 14 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL ¡°Isn¡¯t Adams usually not good at his grades? Why did he suddenly write so quickly without any hesitation? He looks very confident.¡± ¡°Hmph, he¡¯s definitely scribbling. He wants to hurry up and finish the exam before going to bed.¡± Looking at Adams who was still writing rapidly, the invigilator showed disdain on his face. He had seen too many students like this. At the same time, his evaluation of Adams had dropped a lot. ¡°If he can pass this exam, I won¡¯t smoke for a week!¡± It only took Adams about twenty minutes to finish copying Jessica¡¯s paper. If it weren¡¯t for Jessica blocking part of the paper, he would have finished copying in a few minutes. Moreover, Adams deliberately wrote different answers with Jessica in several places to avoid being seen. After he finished copying Jessica¡¯s test paper, Adams took a deep breath and exhaled deeply ¡ª he had finally finished it! Adams turned his head to look at Peter, who was sitting in the back. The boy had already fallen asleep. He hadn¡¯t written many words on the test paper and was drooling all over the table. As for the rest of the class, those who hadn¡¯t finished writing the test paper were still scratching their heads, trying to find an answer. Those who had finished writing were repeatedly checking the test paper to find their own mistakes. There were also people like Peter who didn¡¯t care about the test, sleeping and playing with their phones. Adams, who seemed to have nothing to do because he had finished writing the test paper, was just about to close the spiritual connection with Bumblebee. However, he suddenly seemed to have seen something and immediately stopped thinking. ¡°Bumblebee, lower your head a little.¡± ¡°Yes, lower your head a little!¡± ¡°What a white scene, what a big pen!¡± Adams¡¯ eyes were almost wide open as he carefully observed what Bumblebee was seeing. He saw Bumblebee quietly lying on Jessica¡¯s shoulder, his little head constantly looking under Jessica¡¯s shoulder. Jessica was wearing a white shirt today. Maybe it was because the shirt was too tight, or maybe it was because Jessica¡¯s figure was too good, so a few buttons were unbuttoned on the shirt, revealing a touch of snow white. With Bumblebee¡¯s current perspective, he could see it clearly! ¡°So big, so white, so deep!¡± Adams was completely attracted by the scenery in his eyes. Looking at the long and deep ravine in front of him, he wished he could dive in and swim. When the invigilator on the stage saw that Adams had suddenly opened his eyes wide after writing the exam papers at lightning speed, as if he was in a daze, he became even more dissatisfied. ¡°It¡¯s one thing for this kid to not study hard in class, but he didn¡¯t even check the papers after scribbling. Instead, he just sat there in a daze. How hateful!¡± As for Peter, who was sleeping, and the other students who didn¡¯t answer their papers properly, they were automatically ignored by him. Perhaps it was because Adams¡¯ family was very poor, or perhaps it was because Adams didn¡¯t have parents. He looked like he was easy to bully, so the invigilator especially liked to pay attention to him. The invigilator, who was already in a bad mood because of the argument with his wife in the morning, now found everything unpleasant to look at. It just so happened that Adams had caught his attention, so he would take it out on him! Thinking of this, the invigilator immediately stood up and walked quickly to Adams¡¯ side. ¡°Adams, what are you doing?¡± He first spoke in a normal tone, trying to make his actions seem more justified. Although he wanted to take it out on him, he did not want his students to speak ill of him. Adams was immersed in Jessica¡¯s abyss and didn¡¯t notice his words. Seeing that Adams¡¯ eyes were wide open, but it was as if he didn¡¯t hear his words, the invigilator felt that he was ignored and became even angrier. ¡°Adams, what are you doing?!¡± The invigilator knocked on the table hard, attracting the attention of the students. His tone became much stiffer, and one could hear the suppressed anger in his tone. Only then did Adams react. He noticed the invigilator standing on his right, his face filled with anger. Adams shrugged nonchalantly and replied with a straight face, ¡°I¡¯m thinking about a problem, teacher.¡± At the same time, he ordered the Bumblebee to cut off the spiritual connection with it and looked at the invigilator. ¡°Hehe, with just you? The last one in the class? You can still think?! This is really a strange thing!¡± the invigilator said in a strange tone, causing the students in the class to laugh. Only Jessica looked at Adams with a worried face. Peter, on the other hand, had just been woken up. He looked at Adams and the invigilator in a daze. He did not understand what had happened at all, and there were a few drops of saliva at the corner of his mouth. ¡°You can even speak. Why can¡¯t I think?¡± Adams laughed as he spoke, cleverly retaliating against the invigilator, who had a smug look on his face because of the students¡¯ laughter. ¡°Hahahahahaha¡¡± The students¡¯ laughter was even louder than before, shaking the entire classroom. It was filled with a lively atmosphere. The invigilator¡¯s expression instantly darkened. The meaning in Adams¡¯ words was clearly to compare him to a beast who couldn¡¯t speak! ¡°Don¡¯t laugh!¡± the invigilator shouted loudly, suppressing the laughter of the students. Then, with a red face, he shouted at Adams, ¡°Get out!¡± ¡°Why should I go out?¡± Adams said calmly, his face full of doubt. ¡°Because you didn¡¯t answer the paper properly and ruined the atmosphere of the class!¡± The invigilator sneered. ¡°I finished writing the entire paper, faster than many of the students in the class. Many of you have only written more than half of the paper. Why can¡¯t I answer the paper properly?¡± Adams lifted his arms and leaned his back against Peter¡¯s seat in the back seat. His face was free, in stark contrast to the invigilator¡¯s gloomy face. ¡°You were scribbling!¡± The invigilator became even angrier when he saw Adams make such a move. ¡°Oh? If you say I scribbled, then I scribbled? Then if I say your wife cheated on you, is that true?¡± Adams said calmly with a face full of sarcasm. After hearing Adams¡¯ words, the invigilator¡¯s expression instantly turned extremely cold. Because Adams had unexpectedly hit the nail on the head. The reason he had quarreled with his wife this morning was because he had found an ambiguous message with another man on his wife¡¯s phone. This was his most painful point! Chapter 15 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL ¡°You usually don¡¯t study hard, but you wrote so quickly just now without any hesitation. What is this if not scribbling?!¡± ¡°Do you know what the correct answer is? Do you think you can get more points by filling the paper with your doodles?¡± ¡°Let me tell you, don¡¯t dream about it! Trash will always be trash. Even if you fill the paper, you won¡¯t pass!¡± The invigilator¡¯s face was red, and his saliva flew everywhere. He blurted out three sentences in one breath, as if he didn¡¯t need to breathe. ¡°Oh? Then if I pass, how does that count?¡± Adams frowned. He had been enjoying Jessica¡¯s abyss. He didn¡¯t provoke anyone, but this guy came up to find trouble with him. Did he really think he was easy to bully? ¡°Hehe, you can pass? How can you pass? which student in the class doesn¡¯t know your results?! Stop joking!¡± The invigilator gave a disdainful sneer, his face full of sarcasm. With Adams¡¯ usual results, he should be thankful that he could get 30 points! ¡°You haven¡¯t answered me. If I can pass, what will you do?¡± Adams was still leaning against Peter¡¯s desk, his legs dangling in the air. ¡°Hmph, if you can pass, I¡¯ll quit my job!¡± The invigilator saw that Adams was still indifferent, and he was furious. How dare this poor kid ignore me?! ¡°Okay.¡± Adams nodded, as if he agreed with this suggestion. ¡°Then what should I do if you fail?¡± The invigilator smiled sinisterly. This guy dared to talk back to me? It was time for him to pay the price! ¡°Oh? Then what do you think I should do?¡± Adams reached his hand into his pocket. He wanted to have a cigarette, but he stopped. This was a classroom. He could not smoke. He had to have quality and not be like some mad dogs. ¡°Hmph, if you lose, get lost from this school, you can never come back!¡± The invigilator was furious. He really wanted Adams to get lost from this school. This student did not know how to respect him at all! But he completely forgot that Adams was only doing his homework properly, he did not disturb others at all. He was the one who took the initiative to find trouble with Adams. ¡°Okay.¡± Adams¡¯ expression was still calm. Without any hesitation, he nodded and agreed to the invigilator¡¯s conditions. Jessica stood up and said anxiously to Adams, ¡°Don¡¯t, Adams! Quickly apologize to the invigilator. Don¡¯t agree to this condition!¡± Jessica¡¯s expression was extremely anxious. She was really afraid that Adams would be kicked out of the school. Because she was very clear about Adams¡¯ results. The highest record in history was third from the bottom of the class. It could be said that this was a gamble that he would definitely lose! She didn¡¯t want Adams to be kicked out of the school. He wouldn¡¯t have any books to read! ¡°Yes, Adams, Jessica is right. Lower your head and admit your mistake. This matter will be over just like that.¡± Peter, who was sitting at the back, finally understood what had happened. He hurriedly placed his mouth beside Adams¡¯ ear and whispered, ¡°Just bear with it for a while. Don¡¯t quit school just because of a moment of impulse.¡± ¡°Now, let¡¯s lower our heads and admit our mistakes. It¡¯s just pretending to be a coward. At worst, we¡¯ll sneak over to his house tonight, stab his tires, and throw rocks at his house to vent our anger!¡± Adams was his best friend in school. If Adams really quit school, then he would have no friends in school. And no one would compete with him for the last place in the class! At this moment, the students in the class also comforted Adams: ¡°Yes, yes. Adams, quickly apologize to the invigilator!¡± ¡°Don¡¯t drop out just because of a moment of anger!¡± ¡°What else can you do if you don¡¯t study? Don¡¯t tell me you want to be a gangster on the street?¡± ¡°Adams, the teacher is doing this for your own good. Quickly admit your mistake!¡± Adams raised his head and looked around the entire classroom. Jessica, who was sitting at the front left, turned around to comfort him with an anxious look on her face. Peter, who was also sitting behind her, had a worried look on his face. There were also many students in the class who were looking at him with concern. They all had his best interests at heart. Adams could feel it. He looked at the invigilator¡¯s face. The invigilator¡¯s face was flushed from the anger he had felt. His face was filled with pride, as if he were on the verge of victory. His expression was one of amusement and ridicule. It was as if he was trying to make fun of him. Everyone thought that he would win this bet, including himself. They also thought that he would definitely win! Who asked Adams to always be at the bottom of the class? Even if he suddenly outperformed, he would at most score twenty to thirty points. That was the limit! Adams could even hear the monologue in his heart through his expression: ¡°Adams, everyone thinks that I can win. What do you have to fight me with?!¡± The corners of Adams¡¯ mouth twitched slightly, revealing a meaningful smile. ¡°I agree to your conditions. Then, let¡¯s start checking!¡± As soon as Adams finished speaking, the class was completely in an uproar: ¡°What?!¡± ¡°Adams, don¡¯t do anything stupid!¡± ¡°F*ck! Adams is really a man!¡± ¡°What kind of man is he? He¡¯s obviously an idiot!¡± ¡°He really doesn¡¯t know what¡¯s good for him!¡± There was a flurry of discussion in the class. Some felt sorry for Adams, some sympathized with him, some admired his fearless spirit, and some ridiculed him for not knowing what was good for him. Adams sat there, calm and at ease. He still had that smile on his face, as if no matter what happened, it would not be able to shake his state of mind. ¡°Teacher, Adams did not mean to contradict you. Please let him go!¡± Jessica stood up anxiously and begged the invigilator to let Adams go and not take his words seriously. ¡°Yes, Teacher. Adams was just muddle-headed from sleeping last night. What he said just now was all in his sleep. Please don¡¯t take it seriously!¡± Peter couldn¡¯t hold it in anymore. He stood up and pleaded with Jessica to the invigilator, asking him to let Adams go. ¡°Hehe, how can we take back what we said?¡± ¡°Have you ever heard of a proverb? The words that are said are like water that is poured out. It can not be taken back.¡± Just then, a piercing voice rang out. Chapter 16 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL A tall, thin boy with blond hair stood up and mocked, ¡°Everyone has to take responsibility for their own words. If the promise can be easily taken back, then why do we need the police?¡± ¡°Since Adams has made that promise, then he must abide by it.¡± ¡°Otherwise, even if the proctor can let him go this time, will he still have the face to stay in school in the future?¡± After hearing the blond boy¡¯s words, Jessica and Peter¡¯s expressions changed on the spot. These words were too vicious! After he said those words, even if the invigilator let Adams off this time, it would be difficult for Adams to raise his head in school in the future. Moreover, this matter would definitely spread out. When that time came, Adams would be even more disgraceful in school! Therefore, the blond boy¡¯s words almost forced Adams into a dead end! ¡°Gail, what has this got to do with you?! What nonsense are you talking about?!¡± Peter stood up on the spot and pointed at the blond boy. ¡°Adams, don¡¯t take his words to heart,¡± Jessica comforted Adams softly. ¡°Hehe, am I wrong?¡± Gail¡¯s face was full of disdain. When he saw Jessica comforting Adams, his face became even colder. ¡°Students, is what I said not the truth?!¡± When he said this, many students in the class nodded in agreement. What Gail said was very reasonable. Seeing that many students in the class nodded and supported his words, Gail could not help but look a little proud. Like Gerrard, he also liked Jessica very much. However, Jessica seemed to be possessed. She was madly infatuated with the poor boy, Adams. She didn¡¯t care about the others and didn¡¯t want to pay attention to them. This made Gail very jealous of Adams. At the same time, he was also the nephew of the invigilator. The relationship between the two was very good. At this time, when he saw Adams and the invigilator quarreling, one side was his uncle who treated him extremely well, and the other was his love rival. Then, regardless of whether it was in terms of love or reason, he would definitely help his uncle first. ¡°Teacher, please let Adams go! He doesn¡¯t mean that!¡± Seeing that the situation was getting worse for Adams, Jessica stood up and pleaded to the invigilator, wanting to make one last effort. ¡°Hmph, Jessica, you¡¯re a good student. There¡¯s no need to help a bad student like Adams, right?¡± Gail saw that Jessica was still defending Adams in this situation, and he immediately became tired of being jealous. His tone was sour. However, after Jessica heard his words, she didn¡¯t even look at him. She continued to look at the invigilator with a pleading face, as if she didn¡¯t hear him at all. Or perhaps she simply treated him as an insignificant character. When Gail saw Jessica like this, he was so angry that his nose was almost crooked. He quickly said angrily, ¡°Teacher, I think you can start your bet!¡± The invigilator nodded and put on a troubled expression as he said to Jessica hypocritically, ¡°It¡¯s not that the teacher doesn¡¯t give you face, nor is it that the teacher wants to target Adams.¡± ¡°The words have already been said. As a teacher, how can I take back what I said?¡± ¡°Moreover, these conditions were personally agreed by Adams. I didn¡¯t force him.¡± ¡°So, although the teacher really wants to help you, there¡¯s really nothing he can do.¡± At this time, the invigilator was acting very amiably, just like a teacher who was the most amiable and respected his students. ¡°Are you done with your nonsense? Let¡¯s begin.¡± Adams looked at the invigilator¡¯s clumsy performance and wanted to laugh. He only wanted to end this farce and find a place to smoke a cigarette and eat a mouthful of hamburger. The invigilator saw that Adams was about to die, but he was still stubborn and did not beg for mercy. He could not help but sneer in his heart: ¡®Soon, you won¡¯t be able to be proud anymore!¡¯ ¡°Then let¡¯s begin!¡± After making such a fuss for so long, the invigilator did not want to waste any more time. He picked up the paper on Adams¡¯ desk and read it while saying sarcastically, ¡°Hehe, there¡¯s no need to check the paper of a lousy student like you. In any case, you will fail!¡± ¡°You¡¯d better think about which street you¡¯re going to be a hooligan on next!¡± ¡°Oh, you even got a few lucky ones at the beginning. Looks like you¡¯re pretty lucky today!¡± ¡°But unfortunately, the exam depends on strength, not luck. You¡¯re definitely not going to get any¡ right?!¡± The invigilator¡¯s speed of speech began to slow down. His mocking expression also gradually froze, and a few drops of cold sweat slowly broke out on his forehead. ¡°How, how¡ How is this possible?!¡± His voice was filled with disbelief, as if he could not believe what he was seeing. He began to doubt his own eyes. ¡°Correct, the correct rate actually reached more than 80%. This is impossible!¡± The invigilator¡¯s words attracted the attention of the students. They scrambled to gather around the invigilator and began to read Adams¡¯ test paper. ¡°This, he did this question correctly! I reviewed it last night!¡± ¡°This question is also correct. I just happen to know it. I am 100% sure!¡± ¡°What are you all talking about? Why can¡¯t I understand anything?¡± ¡°Nonsense, how can someone like you who is always third from the bottom be able to understand such a paper!¡± ¡°If you can understand it, that would be strange!¡± ¡°How is that possible? When did Adams become so amazing?!¡± The students engaged in an intense discussion. Their words were filled with disbelief. A boy wearing glasses with an elegant temperament suddenly said, ¡°His paper has at least 80 points.¡± He was the person with the best results in the class. He had scored more than 99 points in almost every test. He was the first in the class and also the first in the grade. He had even corrected the teacher¡¯s mistakes more than once during class. Since he said that Adams had scored more than 80 points, he definitely scored more than 80 points! Therefore, when the bespectacled boy said this, the students in the class believed that Adams had scored 80 points! When did Adams¡¯ academic results become so impressive?! ¡°Impossible, this is absolutely impossible¡¡± The invigilator seemed to have been struck by lightning. He stood rooted to the ground and recalled what he had just said. If Adams could pass, he would resign. He wished he could give himself a slap. ¡°Cheating! You must be cheating!¡± Chapter 17 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL Gail¡¯s face was flushed red, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. If that was true, then his uncle would have to get out of this school, and he himself would become a laughingstock among his classmates! ¡°I cheated? Hehe.¡± Adams¡¯ lips curled up into a mocking smile. ¡°Then can you show me evidence to prove how I cheated?¡± ¡°I, I¡¡± Gail¡¯s expression changed. He really couldn¡¯t prove that Adams was cheating. The invigilator and Gail stood where they were. Their expressions kept changing, but they couldn¡¯t say a complete sentence. At this moment, someone from the class said: ¡°Do you want to take a look at the surveillance footage?¡± As soon as he said that, Gail and the invigilator, whose faces were stiff and speechless, widened their eyes. ¡°Yes! The monitor! I want to take a look at the monitor! He definitely cheated!¡± ¡°That¡¯s right! I know Adams¡¯ results the best. It¡¯s impossible for him to improve so much in such a short period of time!¡± ¡°He definitely cheated!¡± The two of them seemed to have a chance of turning the tables. ¡°No, there¡¯s no need to look at the surveillance cameras, right?¡± ¡°Didn¡¯t I just score over 80 points? How about this, we won¡¯t look at the surveillance cameras. Teacher, you don¡¯t have to resign either. How about it?¡± Adams¡¯ face suddenly revealed a hint of discomfort. Although he tried his best to hide it, the guilt in his eyes was still captured by Gail and the invigilator. ¡°Haha, I don¡¯t have to resign? Then there¡¯s no need. You don¡¯t have to pity me. Our bet is still the same!¡± The invigilator¡¯s face was filled with a smug smile. He had originally been in a terrible mood after reading Adams¡¯ paper. He had even thought that he would lose his job. Even if he did not lose his job, he would definitely lose face. Then, he would no longer have any authority in this school. However, after capturing the guilty expression on Adams¡¯ face, coupled with his cowardly words, he was 100% sure that Adams had definitely cheated! Furthermore, he must have been seen by the cameras! ¡°You dare to go against me? I¡¯ll get you out of this school right now!¡± The invigilator sneered. He could already see Adams scampering out of the school after he checked the surveillance footage and exposed the cheating. ¡°There¡¯s no need to blow this matter up. This bet is actually just a small joke that I played with you¡¡± Adams changed his casual expression from before. His face was now filled with anxiety. He even used honorifics to address the invigilator. ¡°Hehe, it¡¯s too late!¡± ¡°We are teachers. If you say one thing, it¡¯s one thing. If you say two things, it¡¯s two things!¡± ¡°If you really managed to get 80 points with your own strength and didn¡¯t cheat, I¡¯m willing to accept the punishment and resign from this school!¡± The invigilator¡¯s expression was very righteous, but the hidden meaning in his words was: If you, Adams, managed to get 80 points by cheating, then you must get out of this school! ¡°Haha, now you know fear?! Weren¡¯t you very arrogant just now? Why are you so weak now?!¡± Gail finally found an excellent opportunity. He had been silent just now, but now he was so proud of himself that his spittle flew everywhere. ¡°Teacher, Adams knows he¡¯s wrong. Please let him go!¡± ¡°Teacher, Adams has already admitted his mistake. There¡¯s no need to hold on to him. If he drops out of school, his future will be ruined!¡± ¡°Adams, quickly say something to apologize to teacher!¡± ¡°Quickly say something, Adams. Do you really want to withdraw from school?!¡± Many students, including Jessica and Peter, were pleading for Adams. They begged the invigilator to let Adams go and not let him be expelled. ¡°Stop talking. I¡¯ve already decided!¡± ¡°My class must not have such a bad student who doesn¡¯t study hard and doesn¡¯t respect the teacher!¡± ¡°I kicked him out for your own good! I¡¯ll give you a good learning environment!¡± ¡°Besides, we don¡¯t even know if he cheated yet, do we?¡± The invigilator¡¯s expression became very calm again because he felt that he was definitely going to win. ¡°Yeah, maybe he didn¡¯t cheat at all. Maybe God suddenly appeared and made him score 80 points,¡± Gail chimed in from the side. The two uncles and nephews played good cop, bad cop. ¡°Alright, stop talking nonsense. Let¡¯s go!¡± the invigilator said coldly. Then, he took the lead and walked out of the classroom. Gail followed behind him. Seeing this, the students at the back couldn¡¯t take it, so they followed the invigilator out of the classroom. Thus, a group of people rushed out of the classroom and headed straight for the monitoring room. This huge group attracted the attention of countless students on campus. It was rare for a teacher to be followed by dozens of students. ¡°What happened?¡± ¡°There are so many people. Are they going on a group picnic?¡± ¡°A picnic right after school starts? Is it that good?¡± ¡°I don¡¯t know. Why don¡¯t we go ask someone?¡± ¡°Stop guessing. I¡¯ll go ask someone. I know the person in front.¡± One of the students pulled a student from Adams¡¯ class and asked, ¡°Brother, what happened?¡± The student was pulled back. A hint of impatience immediately appeared on his face. When he saw that it was someone he knew, his expression relaxed and he quickly said, ¡°A poor student in our class suddenly scored 80 points. Our invigilator said that he cheated, but he refused to admit it, so the two of them started arguing. Then the two of them made a bet. If he didn¡¯t cheat, the invigilator would resign, and if he cheated, he would get out of the school himself!¡± ¡°Alright, that¡¯s about it. I still have to rush over to watch the show!¡± With that said, the student hurriedly rushed forward, afraid that he would be left behind by the team and not be able to watch the show. ¡°There¡¯s such a thing?!¡± ¡°F*ck, we have to go and take a look!¡± ¡°Brothers, let¡¯s go! Let¡¯s go and take a look too!¡± ¡°Let¡¯s go, let¡¯s go, let¡¯s go. This kind of thing rarely happens in the past few years. Let¡¯s go quickly! Let¡¯s all go and take a look!¡± After learning about what had happened, the students who had nothing to do with them also swarmed over. When the students who didn¡¯t know about it saw more and more people joining the team, they thought that something had happened, so they quickly went to ask. After asking, they were surprised again, and then they excitedly joined the team to watch the development of the event. Just like that, more and more people joined the team, and more and more. In the end, they formed a long line, startling the entire school! More than half of the school¡¯s people went to watch the bet. This incident even alarmed the principal. ¡°Principal! Quickly go and take a look! Something big has happened!¡± Chapter 18 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL In the surveillance room, two security guards were chatting in boredom. ¡°Sigh, today is another day with nothing to do. This job is really too idle.¡± A security guard sitting on the left yawned and talked to the security guard on the right out of boredom. ¡°Who says so? Sigh, my butt is about to hurt from sitting.¡± The security guard on the right lit a cigarette and echoed the security guard on the left. This was already his second pack of cigarettes today. ¡°Tell me, why can¡¯t we install a surveillance camera in the female dormitory? Then we won¡¯t be so bored.¡± The security guard on the left suddenly laughed wretchedly. ¡°Who says there isn¡¯t? I heard from the seniors who worked here before that there are still surveillance cameras in the female dormitory, but that¡¯s for the principal to see.¡± ¡°Hehehehehe¡¡± The two security guards looked at each other and revealed a wretched smile. Of course, this was only because they were too bored and were talking nonsense to relieve their boredom. Just as the two security guards were about to speak, there was a knock on the door of the surveillance room. Knock, knock, knock! Knock, knock, knock! The two security guards immediately stopped smiling and looked at the door of the surveillance room in shock. Normally, no one would come here for a few days. The security guard on the left lowered his voice and said to the security guard on the right, ¡°F*ck, could it be that someone heard us teasing the principal just now?¡± ¡°Could it be that the person outside is the principal?¡± ¡°It can¡¯t be that unlucky, right?¡± The security guard on the right had a perturbed look on his face. Could it be that the principal happened to hear the words that he had unintentionally said while they were chatting? Could it be that he was so unlucky? Just as the two security guards were feeling very uneasy, there was another knock on the door. At the same time, a man¡¯s voice was heard: ¡°Hello, is anyone there? We want to check the surveillance cameras!¡± ¡°It¡¯s not the principal?¡± The security guard on the left let out a huge sigh of relief. Then, he started to get angry again. This guy who knocked on the door had given them a big fright! He opened the door angrily. The security guard, whose face was full of anger, was about to scold the guy who knocked on the door but didn¡¯t say anything. He was rude. However, the scene in front of him gave him a big fright! He saw a middle-aged man standing in front of the surveillance room, with a blonde boy beside him. This much was nothing to be afraid of, but there were dozens of students behind these two people! And behind them, there was a long line. There was also an endless stream of students joining in, forming an extremely huge team! What was this for?! This unlucky security guard was stunned on the spot. Were the students going to rebel, overthrow, and occupy this school? That wasn¡¯t right either. If they wanted to overthrow and occupy, they had to first go to the principal¡¯s office. At the very least, they had to go to the square. Why did they come to this small monitoring room?! ¡°You¡ What are you doing?¡± He stammered. This guy was really shocked. ¡°We are here to request to see the surveillance footage. Please show us a surveillance video.¡± The invigilator who was standing in front of the security guard took a step forward. He was very well-mannered. Now that he was certain that he was going to win, Adams would soon get out of this school. Naturally, he didn¡¯t have to be so anxious. With so many students watching, he wanted to establish his image as a good teacher. He had brought his classmates to the surveillance room to investigate the surveillance footage and expose Adams¡¯s cheating tricks. To his surprise, more and more people gathered to watch the show. By now, more than half of the school knew about it. At first, he was shocked, but then he thought: The person who made a mistake was Adams, and the person who contradicted the teacher was also Adams. What was wrong with me? What am I afraid of? I shouldn¡¯t be afraid! Thinking of this, the invigilator¡¯s heart calmed down. Looking at the huge crowd behind him and feeling the gazes of the people gathered on him, he suddenly had a wonderful feeling. ¡®If I do this well today, I will be famous!¡¯ ¡®In the future, no student in this school will dare to put on airs in front of me. They have to respect me!¡¯ When the invigilator thought of this, he relaxed and a successful smile appeared on his lips. As long as he chased Adams out of the school today, he would be able to show off in front of so many students. His days in the school would be better! ¡°Check, check the surveillance cameras?¡± The security guard on the left stuttered. He was really frightened just now. ¡°Yes, that¡¯s right. Check the surveillance cameras.¡± At this moment, the invigilator appeared to be extremely patient. He helped the security guard to repeat these three words again. ¡°Phew, so it¡¯s just this matter.¡± The security guard on the left let out a sigh of relief. It turned out that it was not that they had bad-mouthed the principal. They did not have to be afraid of being expelled by the principal. After letting out a sigh of relief, he came to his senses and hurriedly said to the invigilator, ¡°No, you need the principal¡¯s approval to check the surveillance cameras. No one is allowed to check the surveillance cameras without permission!¡± The invigilator frowned. He didn¡¯t understand this. He originally thought that he only needed to bring everyone to the surveillance room and get the security guard to adjust the surveillance cameras for him. He would be able to catch the evidence of Adams cheating and chase Adams out of the school. ¡°We just want to investigate what happened in class just now because there was a shameless student in our class who cheated just now. I was nice and patient in teaching him, but he actually contradicted me and even dared to quibble that he didn¡¯t cheat at all.¡± ¡°In order to teach him to be an honest child, that¡¯s why I came here. I just wanted to bring up the surveillance cameras for the students to see and expose the truth.¡± ¡°Please make an exception,¡± the invigilator said gently. He appeared extremely polite and attracted the support of many students who did not know the truth. ¡°A student actually cheated during the exam?¡± ¡°He was caught cheating and still refused to admit it. This person is really shameless!¡± ¡°How shameless can he be? Not only did he refuse to admit it when he was caught cheating, he even asked the teacher to come to the surveillance room to collect evidence?¡± At this moment, a rational student said, ¡°Could it be a misunderstanding? Logically speaking, if he really cheated, he would definitely not agree to come to the monitoring room to adjust the monitoring.¡± However, no one paid attention to her. Her voice was drowned in the wave of condemnation of Adams. ¡°I believe that Adams definitely did not cheat!¡± Jessica saw that Adams was being insulted by so many students. She was so anxious that tears were about to fall. She quickly waved her hand and urged the excited students to calm down and trust Adams. However, it was of no use. Almost everyone present was attacking Adams. They believed that Adams was a bad student who cheated in the exam, had bad morals, and did not know how to respect his teacher. Even Peter secretly ran to Adams¡¯ side and asked in a low voice, ¡°Brother, did you cheat or not? If you did, then quickly admit it. At most, you¡¯ll lose some face!¡± Adams just glanced at him indifferently and said, ¡°You don¡¯t have to believe me, but what I want to say is that there is no evidence of me cheating in the surveillance cameras.¡± Looking at Adams¡¯ calm gaze, listening to what he said, and the excited crowd around him, Peter also felt very excited. ¡°F*ck, I believe you, Adams! You definitely didn¡¯t cheat!¡± The corners of Adams¡¯ mouth curled up: ¡®Fool, of course I cheated.¡¯ ¡®However, cheating that can¡¯t be caught¡¡¯ ¡®Then it won¡¯t be considered cheating¡¡¯ Chapter 19 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL ¡°I¡¯m sorry. Without the principal¡¯s orders, no one is allowed to check the surveillance cameras.¡± At this moment, the security guard on the right saw that these people weren¡¯t here to cause trouble for them, so he walked out of the surveillance room. ¡°This¡¡± The invigilator hesitated for a moment. He only wanted Adams, who didn¡¯t know how to respect teachers, to get out of the school. He didn¡¯t want to make a big deal out of it and let the principal know. After all, he himself was actually a little guilty. He was the one who went to find trouble with Adams first. However, looking at the many students behind him who supported him, as well as Adams¡¯ blank and frightened eyes, a sneer rose in his heart: ¡®Hmph, now you know fear?¡¯ ¡®If you had surrendered earlier and bowed to me, such a thing wouldn¡¯t have happened!¡¯ ¡®Now all the students in the school support me. Even the dark ones have become white ones.¡¯ ¡®Furthermore, looking at your panicked expression, you definitely cheated!¡¯ ¡®Then, don¡¯t blame me!¡¯ After he was done with his calculations, the invigilator made up his mind to look for the principal to adjust the surveillance cameras. He would make Adams lose all his face and then get out of the school. However, he still showed a hesitant expression. ¡°This¡ This isn¡¯t good.¡± ¡°My original intention was to let Adams realize his mistake.¡± ¡°As for whether he apologizes to me or not, I don¡¯t care.¡± ¡°If this goes to the principal, won¡¯t everyone in the school know?¡± ¡°That¡¯s not good. If that¡¯s the case, Adams will have no choice but to quit school.¡± ¡°I¡ I don¡¯t want to lose any of my students¡¡± The invigilator who was originally very fierce in class appeared to be so magnanimous and selfless in front of all the students in the school. ¡°What a good teacher!¡± ¡°Even at this time, he still cares about his students.¡± ¡°That Adams, he should be ashamed of himself!¡± ¡°He was caught cheating and refused to admit it. The teacher only wanted him to admit his mistake, but he actually wanted the teacher to resign. This kind of student is really not acceptable!¡± ¡°I disdain to be classmates with such a person. Teacher, don¡¯t mind him. This kind of student should get out of the school!¡± ¡°Right! Get out of the school! Get out of the school!¡± ¡°Adams, get out of the school!¡± When the surrounding students heard the invigilator¡¯s words, they became even more excited. Now that things had developed to this point, even Adams¡¯ classmates believed the invigilator¡¯s words 100%. Even they felt that Adams must have cheated to get such a high score. After all, Adams¡¯ usual results were always in the last few places! How could he have gotten more than 80 points all of a sudden?! Right now, only Jessica and Peter believed in Adams and supported him. ¡°It¡¯s impossible for Adams to cheat. I believe in his character!¡± ¡°Even if Adams¡¯ results aren¡¯t good, he wouldn¡¯t have chosen to cheat!¡± ¡°Jessica, you¡¯re still defending him. I really don¡¯t know what kind of drug he gave you.¡± ¡°It¡¯s already a done deal for Adams to cheat. There¡¯s no turning back!¡± ¡°If you don¡¯t believe me, look at his expression!¡± Gail¡¯s face was filled with contempt and anger. He really didn¡¯t know why Jessica would be so madly infatuated with Adams. She was even willing to stand on the opposite side of the entire school for him! After Jessica heard Gail¡¯s words, she turned to look at Adams¡¯ face. His face was filled with panic, like a thief who had been caught by the police. ¡°No, it¡¯s not possible. It¡¯s impossible for Adams to cheat¡¡± After seeing Adams¡¯ expression, Jessica¡¯s tears were about to come out, swirling in her eyes. She would rather believe that she had cheated than believe that Adams would do such a thing. Was this still the kind, gentle, and sunny Adams in her memories who was willing to sacrifice himself for others? Just as Jessica was about to cry, Adams walked to her side, held her hand, and whispered in her ear, ¡°Don¡¯t cry. I¡¯m just pretending.¡± ¡°!!!¡± Jessica¡¯s eyes widened to the maximum when she heard Adams say that! ¡°He¡¯s¡ Pretending¡¡± Jessica looked at Adams, who had a panicked expression on his face but was holding her hand. Her heart instantly calmed down. ¡°I told you he wouldn¡¯t cheat¡¡± For some reason, in the face of almost the entire school¡¯s crusade and Adams¡¯ own words, Jessica did not hesitate to believe Adams¡¯ words. ¡®I¡¯m sorry, Jessica. I really did cheat.¡¯ Adams expressed his apology to her in his heart. However, from the beginning to the end, he did not feel that this was a big deal. It was just cheating. Why was Jessica so nervous? She almost cried. ¡®Since you dared to make Jessica cry, you should enjoy the slap!¡¯ Adams sneered, but he was still nervous. He didn¡¯t expect it to come to this. Initially, he just wanted to give that idiot invigilator a small slap in the face. He didn¡¯t expect such a big incident to happen. But since it had already happened, he would play along to the end! ¡®If I don¡¯t slap your face, I won¡¯t be Adams!¡¯ ¡°Teacher, quickly go and call the principal!¡± ¡°That¡¯s right, teacher. Pull up the surveillance footage and the truth will be clear!¡± ¡°Quickly take a look at the surveillance footage so that this shameless scum can get out of our school as soon as possible!¡± ¡°Teacher, you don¡¯t have to pity this kind of student at all. There¡¯s no need for that!¡± ¡°He brought this upon himself by making such a scene today. There¡¯s no need to pity him at all!¡± ¡°That¡¯s right! Teacher, if you don¡¯t go and look for the principal, I will help you look for him!¡± The group of students at the back was agitated. They were all shouting loudly to go and look for the principal to check the surveillance cameras, so that this kind of student would be punished. ¡°Sigh, alright¡¡± ¡°Although I love my students very much, I really can¡¯t teach a student like Adams who cheats in class, refuses to admit it, and doesn¡¯t know how to respect his teacher.¡± The invigilator shook his head helplessly as if he was extremely regretful and hated himself for not being able to save this lost soul. After hearing the invigilator¡¯s words, the surrounding students erupted into a heated discussion: ¡°Wu wu, the teacher¡¯s heart is really too kind!¡± ¡°Even now, he¡¯s still thinking of a bad student like Adams!¡± ¡°That fellow Adams really should kneel down and thank the teacher and apologize to him!¡± ¡°Our school is really lucky to have such a teacher!¡± ¡ Listening to the discussions of the students and their praise of him, the invigilator was very proud in his heart, but his face still had the image of a super good teacher. Chapter 20 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL ¡°What¡¯s wrong?¡± ¡°What exactly happened?¡± ¡°Why is there a bunch of people gathered here? Don¡¯t you need to go to class?¡± A dignified voice sounded. A well-dressed white-haired old man walked over from afar under the lead of two assistants. The crowd automatically parted a path for them, showing that this old man¡¯s identity was not ordinary. ¡°Hello, Principal.¡± When the invigilator saw the white-haired old man coming over, he hurriedly took three steps forward and two steps forward to welcome him. ¡°Principal, something small has happened,¡± the invigilator respectfully explained. ¡°Small matter?¡± The principal frowned and continued to say, ¡°No matter how I look at it, doesn¡¯t this seem like a big matter?¡± It was no wonder. There was no place for people to stand outside the surveillance room. The invigilator, Gail, Adams, Jessica, and Peter were surrounded by more than half of the school¡¯s teachers and students. They were also noisy as if they wanted to turn the school upside down. No matter how you looked at it, it didn¡¯t seem like a small matter. ¡°It¡¯s like this, Principal.¡± The invigilator took a step forward and explained: ¡°Today, our class will have an exam. You know this as well.¡± The principal nodded and said, ¡°Then what? Does the exam have anything to do with what¡¯s happening now?¡± ¡°It doesn¡¯t have anything to do with this.¡± The invigilator glanced at the silent Adams and said in a low voice, ¡°But during our exam, some students in the class were cheating.¡± ¡°Oh?¡± ¡°Even if they were cheating, it shouldn¡¯t have gone to such a big extent, right?¡± The principal frowned. ¡°This is what you don¡¯t know, Principal.¡± ¡°This Adams is a bad student to begin with. He might not even pass once a year.¡± ¡°In the end, he actually managed to score 80 points in this exam, and that¡¯s not all!¡± ¡°Tell me, if this isn¡¯t cheating, then what is it?¡± As the invigilator spoke, he pointed at Adams with his finger, as if he was telling the truth and was very sure. ¡°What about you, young man? He said you cheated. Did you really cheat?¡± After listening to the invigilator¡¯s words, the principal did not choose to believe all of them. Instead, he asked Adams. This young man was quite handsome and did not look like a person who cheated. ¡°Principal, I studied hard during the holidays. Then, I passed the exam. Could it be that I cheated?¡± Adams calmly continued, ¡°According to what the invigilator said, isn¡¯t every poor student unable to do well in the exam, or else he cheated?¡± ¡°If that¡¯s the case, why should we poor students study?¡± ¡°Anyway, even if we study hard and strive for a good result, it will still be considered cheating.¡± Adams¡¯ words were undoubtedly excellent. It was impossible for a school to only have top students. Those with average results, or even some with poor results occupied the majority. Otherwise, how could it bring out the excellence of those top students? And what Adams said undoubtedly pushed the invigilator to become the enemy of the poor students, or even the middle-class students. Therefore, the moment Adams finished speaking, many of the students on the field who had average results glared at the invigilator, hoping that he would give an explanation to these inferior students. ¡°You, you, you are lying!¡± The invigilator was frightened by these stares. His mouth began to stutter, and he began to counterattack Adams. However, his counterattack seemed to be a little too weak. ¡°Hehe? Am I speaking nonsense?!¡± ¡°Then let me ask you, my respected teacher, do you have evidence of me cheating?¡± ¡°Evidence of me cheating, can you show it?!¡± ¡°A poor student who gets a good result is cheating. A poor student who is thinking about a problem is cheating?¡± ¡°I think you¡¯re the one who¡¯s spouting nonsense!¡± ¡°Without evidence and discriminating against a bad student, you actually dare to say that you¡¯re a teacher? Do you deserve the title of teacher?!¡± Adams pointed at the invigilator with his right hand and shouted. At this moment, his entire body was filled with the aura of justice. His handsome face, strict logic, perfect performance, and fierce counterattack made him full of charm. Many girls in the crowd looked at him with admiration. ¡°He¡¯s so handsome!¡± ¡°He¡¯s so elegant!¡± ¡°He¡¯s much more handsome than my boyfriend!¡± ¡°Not only does he not have any stage fright when facing so many people, he even makes the invigilator speechless. He¡¯s really amazing!¡± ¡°Such an outstanding little brother. It would be great if he were my boyfriend!¡± ¡°What nonsense are you talking about, Rika? He cheated!¡± ¡°It doesn¡¯t matter even if he cheated for such an outstanding boy, doesn¡¯t it?¡± ¡°¡¡± Meanwhile, Jessica¡¯s eyes couldn¡¯t help but reveal surprise and admiration: When did Adams become so powerful?! Meanwhile, the invigilator¡¯s face turned pale. Whether it was in terms of language or logic, he was completely defeated by Adams. His mouth was open, but he could not say a word of rebuttal. Perhaps he could say it, but any rebuttal he could think of seemed so powerless compared to what Adams had said. If he said it out loud, he would only be embarrassing himself. He might as well just shut up and remain silent. ¡°Adams, it¡¯s useless to just talk and incite the emotions of the crowd!¡± At this moment, Gail, who saw his uncle¡¯s pale face standing there without saying anything, felt that things were not looking good. He finally stood up. ¡°No matter what it is, we have to look at the facts!¡± ¡°Do you mean you didn¡¯t cheat just because you said so?¡± ¡°Have you forgotten why we are here today?!¡± ¡°Don¡¯t change the topic. Stop talking nonsense!¡± ¡°If you have the guts, let¡¯s go and look at the surveillance cameras now!¡± ¡°Whether you cheated or not, all you need to do is look at the surveillance cameras and everything will be clear!¡± Gail¡¯s words instantly pulled everyone¡¯s thoughts back to reality. That¡¯s right! We came here to find out whether Adams had cheated or not, not to listen to his speech! We were almost fooled by him! The invigilator also gave Gail a grateful look ¡ª good nephew, Uncle didn¡¯t dote on you for nothing! So he immediately coughed, cleared his throat, and said seriously, ¡°Gail is right. We came here to investigate whether you cheated or not, not to listen to your speech!¡± ¡°Your debate can end now. Everything must be based on the facts!¡± Hearing their words, Adams¡¯ originally excited expression instantly collapsed. He looked a little embarrassed and stuttered, ¡°But¡ but don¡¯t we have a bet?¡± ¡°If we really went to look at the surveillance footage, wouldn¡¯t that be bad for you, Teacher?¡± ¡°As your student, I¡¯m genuinely worried about you.¡± ¡°Why don¡¯t we call it a day? This is just a small misunderstanding, isn¡¯t it?¡± Chapter 21 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL ¡°Yes, Principal.¡± The invigilator tidied his clothes and began to put on a calm expression This kid was even stunned by the simplest question at the beginning. If he didn¡¯t rely on cheating, how could he score 80 points?! ¡®I don¡¯t even need to continue watching. I¡¯m going to win for sure!¡¯ Jessica looked nervously at the invigilator who seemed to have already won against Adams. Then she looked at Adams¡¯ expression. She realized that the panic and awkwardness on Adams¡¯ face had completely disappeared. At this moment, Adams¡¯ expression was calm. Affected by Adams¡¯ expression, Jessica, who was originally very nervous, slowly became quiet. She believed in Adams. The screen continued to move. After being stunned for more than a minute, Adams suddenly began to move! Adams took out a pen and began to answer the questions on the paper. He wrote smoothly without any hesitation. In just two to three minutes, he had finished answering half of the questions. ¡°How¡ How is this possible?!¡± ¡°Adams didn¡¯t hesitate at all when he answered the questions!¡± ¡°F*ck, wouldn¡¯t he have been stuck because the questions were too difficult?¡± At this moment, the students watching from behind were all in shock! How did Adams do it? He filled in half the questions without stopping?! ¡°This, this is impossible!¡± The invigilator and Gail¡¯s expressions turned extremely ugly. Previously, they had said that Adams couldn¡¯t even answer the simplest questions at the beginning, but now, as soon as Adams took out his pen to answer the questions, he finished writing half the questions in an instant. There wasn¡¯t the slightest pause or hesitation! Wasn¡¯t this a merciless slap to their faces?! Moreover, the most important thing was¡ The behavior shown on the monitor didn¡¯t show that Adams was cheating at all! He didn¡¯t look left and right, nor did he take out a book from under the drawer to search for information. He also didn¡¯t take out a cheat sheet from under his clothes! From the moment Adams started answering the question, his eyes were only focused on the paper in front of him, and he didn¡¯t even turn his head! Seeing this scene, if anyone dared to say that Adams was cheating, then this person would definitely be an undeniable idiot! ¡°I say, invigilator, Gail, why doesn¡¯t Adams seem to be cheating?¡± At this moment, Peter could not help but mock the invigilator and Gail. Previously, he was stunned by these two people. He really thought that Adams was caught cheating and was about to be kicked out of the school. He was shocked. But now, according to the images shown on the monitor, Adams was not cheating at all. Those two people were completely talking nonsense! ¡°We still haven¡¯t finished watching it!¡± ¡°It¡¯s only been a few minutes on the monitor. What are you guys so proud of?¡± ¡°Yeah, even if Adams is lucky and got all the questions right in the first few questions, he won¡¯t be so lucky in the last few questions!¡± ¡°He definitely cheated at the back. Just wait and see!¡± The invigilator and Gail¡¯s expressions turned ugly, but they still refused to admit it. Although they had a vague feeling that Adams might not have cheated after watching Adams¡¯ fluent answers for a few minutes, they still had a glimmer of hope. What if Adams really cheated at the back?! Peter rolled his eyes at the two of them and continued to watch the monitor with the others. But at this moment, Adams, who was quickly filling in the test papers, suddenly stopped. Adams put down his pen and didn¡¯t move. He seemed to be in a daze again. This sudden action immediately caused the invigilator and Gail to be ecstatic. Look, he had exposed himself! ¡°Haha, I really thought that Adams had suddenly become enlightened.¡± ¡°In the end, he still stopped writing until here?¡± ¡°Next, shouldn¡¯t he start cheating?¡± These two people¡¯s sarcastic words immediately attracted Jessica and Peter¡¯s angry eyes. ¡°What are you guys talking about?!¡± ¡°Can you shut your dog mouths?¡± Peter couldn¡¯t hold it in any longer and started to attack the invigilator with vulgarities. In his eyes, this kind of teacher was no longer worthy of his respect. ¡°Hehe, why are you guys in such a hurry?¡± ¡°If Adams didn¡¯t cheat, the truth wouldn¡¯t change no matter what we say.¡± ¡°And if Adams cheated, then wouldn¡¯t we just happen to be right?¡± ¡°We can¡¯t even tell the truth. You two are really difficult to get along with.¡± The invigilator and Gail went all out and started the taunting. The whole incident today made them forget about their self-restraint. It could also be said that¡ Adams¡¯ smooth writing and the seemingly thoughtless answers left a deep psychological shadow on them. Their belief that Adams had been cheating had been shaken, and they remembered the bet they had made with Adams. If Adams hadn¡¯t cheated and had gotten an 80 on his own, they would have been kicked out of school! They couldn¡¯t help but panic. But when they saw Adams stop moving, they felt like they had hope again. It was a stressful situation for them. They wanted to use sarcasm to vent their frustration. But when they saw what they were doing, Adams laughed coldly. He had stopped because Jessica was flipping through the paper and he couldn¡¯t read it clearly. Wait a few more minutes, and you won¡¯t be able to laugh anymore. After Adams was in a daze for a few minutes, he suddenly began to answer the questions again. And his speed was even faster than before! He wrote one stroke after another without any hesitation or pause. He continued to write on the paper. In just a few minutes, Adams had almost filled up the entire paper! ¡°Well done, Adams!¡± Peter waved his fists excitedly, as if he was a hardcore fan who saw his team¡¯s victory. Jessica also revealed a sweet smile. Adams really did not disappoint her! Chapter 22 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL After all, there was no need to refute the principal¡¯s words for Adams. If he offended the principal, how would he spend his days in school? Besides, Adams had already won, and this matter had no real impact on him. Everyone took a step back. This was already the best result. Everyone present thought so. Even Jessica and Peter, who had always been on Adams¡¯ side, felt that this was already the best outcome. After all, they couldn¡¯t really expel a teacher who had taught in the school for more than ten years just because of a ¡®small¡¯ bet? It was enough for the invigilator to apologize to Adams in front of so many people. Looking at the silence of the crowd, a smile appeared on the invigilator¡¯s face Even if it was a little embarrassing, it was better than being expelled. As long as he survived this disaster, there would be plenty of opportunities to target Adams in the future! The old principal also slowly exhaled. This matter was finally resolved. At the same time, he was secretly proud of his wisdom. With just a few words, he had deftly resolved this matter that would damage the school¡¯s image and his own interests. This was enough to make him proud. Just as everyone thought that this matter would end with the invigilator¡¯s apology. ¡°No.¡± Adams¡¯ voice sounded. It was calm and determined. ¡°No?¡± Everyone on the field looked at Adams in shock. No? He said no? When the old principal came forward to defend the proctor, when the students in the class chose to remain silent, when the crowd expressed their agreement with the principal¡¯s point of view, when everyone in the field thought that this matter should end just like that. Adams actually said no?! ¡°That¡¯s right, it means no.¡± Adams took a step forward. He, who had been silent for a long time, was finally going to show his fangs! ¡°Adams, don¡¯t go too far!¡± Gail saw that the matter was almost over, but Adams had started to cause trouble again. He was immediately furious. Meanwhile, the proctor¡¯s smiling face suddenly stiffened. With a hint of lividity, he stood there without saying a word. ¡°Adams, that¡¯s enough.¡± Peter went forward and tugged at the corner of Adams¡¯ shirt, whispering. In his opinion, this matter was already a great victory for Adams. After all, he was just a small student. What could he use to fight with them? ¡°Adams¡¡± Jessica stood there and looked at Adams¡¯ handsome and calm face, hesitating whether she should speak. ¡°Why?¡± The old principal frowned. From his point of view, he had already given a lot of face to Adams. He was just a student. Did he really want to slap the teacher and the entire school¡¯s face just by relying on a bet? ¡°Why? Why?!¡± Adams repeated the word twice, then let out a cold laugh. ¡°The bet was made by the invigilator. I was the one who was wronged. He was the one who brought the team here. He was the one who caused such a huge commotion.¡± ¡°I was clearly there to answer the questions quietly. In the end, he came up and accused me of cheating.¡± ¡°Then, he incited the students who didn¡¯t know the details and allowed them to mock and scold me, a completely innocent person.¡± ¡°He didn¡¯t stop them at all and allowed the students to scold me.¡± ¡°Then, he even took the initiative to bring people to this monitoring room and wanted to use evidence to expel me!¡± ¡°After seeing all his actions, I feel that anyone with a brain would be able to see that he was deliberately targeting me, right?¡± After hearing Adams¡¯ words, the old principal¡¯s expression immediately changed. Adams was calling him brainless! The expressions of the surrounding students also changed. Adams actually said such words to mock the principal. How could he dare? ¡°Adams is really bold!¡± ¡°How dare he say such words?!¡± ¡°What¡¯s wrong? Is there something wrong with what Adams said?¡± ¡°Gully, with your IQ, it¡¯s hard for me to explain it to you.¡± The crowd began to discuss among themselves. Their voices were suppressed, but Adams and the principal could faintly hear them. But Adams didn¡¯t care. After a slight pause, he continued: ¡°After doing all these things, Principal, your punishment for him was just to let him say a light apology to me?¡± ¡°And then, you actually asked me why?¡± ¡°Do you think that I need to explain why to you?!¡± ¡°My dear¡ Principal?!¡± The old principal¡¯s expression became even worse. Adams had publicly questioned him in front of so many people, and it was completely challenging his authority! When did such a thorn appear in the school!? Damn it! The old principal cursed in his heart. After organizing his words, he slowly said, ¡°Adams, it is true that Pierre accused you of cheating.¡± ¡°However, you said that Pierre allowed the students to attack you with abuse. This matter still needs to be discussed.¡± ¡°After all, at that time, everyone did think that you cheated. In a moment of desperation, they did not have time to think. This is also forgivable.¡± ¡°Teacher Pierre was wrong, but I believe that he definitely did not deliberately target you.¡± ¡°The cause of this matter should be that he saw wrongly. In addition, he was too conscientious, so this beautiful misunderstanding happened, right?¡± ¡°Of course, you also suffered a lot.¡± ¡°Then how about this, I¡¯ll get Pierre to officially write you an apology letter and read it aloud in the school broadcast to express his apology to you. How about this?¡± The old principal said slowly. This was already his biggest concession to Adams. The surrounding students were also exclaiming in surprise ¡ª ¡°Adams actually succeeded!¡± ¡°An apology letter and a broadcast reading? This time, Adams is in the limelight!¡± ¡°Oh my god, Adams actually dared to not give face to the principal in public, and he actually succeeded in the end!¡± Peter also jumped to Adams¡¯ side at this time and patted his shoulder hard. ¡°You¡¯re really something, Brother!¡± Jessica also felt relieved. Adams had really made her worry too much today! Just when everyone thought that this matter was really going to end like this. A smile hung on the corner of Adams¡¯ mouth. What he wanted was not enough! ¡°Why is Adams still smiling?¡± ¡°My god, he even took a step forward!¡± ¡°Could it be that he actually thinks that this is not enough?!¡± ¡°My god!¡± Chapter 23 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL After all, there was no need to refute the principal¡¯s words for Adams. He didn¡¯t know what Adams was trying to do, so he could only say in a low voice, ¡°Yes.¡± ¡°Then, if the invigilator is deliberately targeting me and not a misunderstanding, then this matter can not be resolved so easily, right?¡± Adams looked at the invigilator who had a gloomy expression and didn¡¯t say a word. He smiled indifferently. ¡°That¡¯s right.¡± The old principal¡¯s frown deepened. This Adams was really not easy to deal with! When the invigilator and Gail heard Adams¡¯ words, their expressions changed drastically. They had a feeling that something bad was about to happen! ¡°Do you have any way to prove that the invigilator is targeting you on purpose?!¡± Gail took a step forward and questioned Adams. ¡°Of course I don¡¯t.¡± Adams chuckled. Before the invigilator and Gail¡¯s expressions changed, he said the next sentence: ¡°But it¡¯s on the surveillance cameras.¡± ¡°As far as I know, the surveillance cameras in our school have sound, right?¡± ¡°As long as we look at the surveillance cameras again and listen to the conversation between me and the invigilator, won¡¯t we know if he¡¯s targeting me?¡± When Adams said this, the old principal, the invigilator, and Gail¡¯s expressions became extremely gloomy. As a shrewd person, the old principal knew that Adams was telling the truth after watching the surveillance footage and the development of the incident. They were targeting Adams. The proctor and Gail knew very well that they were targeting Adams on purpose and maligning him. Therefore, their conversation at that time had a strong sense of targeting. Normal people could hear that they were targeting Adams. Therefore, if the recording was played and their conversation was made public, their actions against Adams would be confirmed. And the invigilator would definitely be kicked out of the school! Just as the old principal¡¯s expression was grave and Gail¡¯s face was filled with panic, and the invigilator¡¯s forehead was dripping with cold sweat, thinking that Adams would ask to check the surveillance footage and kick the invigilator out of the school¡ Adams suddenly spoke again: ¡°Of course, the invigilator didn¡¯t target me at all. This is all a wonderful misunderstanding.¡± ¡°So, there¡¯s no need to look at the surveillance footage again.¡± ¡°I only need the invigilator and Gail to follow the principal¡¯s instructions and read an apology letter to me on the broadcast.¡± ¡°What do you think?¡± Adams looked at the nervous trio with a playful smile on his face. If he continued to force them, the invigilator would indeed be expelled from the school. However, he would also be hated by the principal and the other teachers. As long as they casually targeted him, his days in school would definitely not be too peaceful. This was not what he wanted to see. Therefore, it was indeed the best outcome to let the two of them apologize to him in public and lose face. Moreover, who said that after they apologized, he would let them go? Adams stroked Bumblebee in his palm and smiled even more sincerely. The invigilator¡¯s face, which was originally filled with panic, began to show joy. He didn¡¯t expect that Adams, who was originally so unyielding, would actually be willing to let him go! Gail¡¯s expression became even worse. Why should he apologize to Adams? And in front of the entire school, he would use the broadcast to apologize! He was going to lose all his face! But after the old principal and the invigilator gave him a look, he could only reluctantly lower his head. ¡°Okay, Adams, we agree.¡± The old principal smiled amiably. On behalf of the invigilator and Gail, he agreed to Adams¡¯ conditions and extended his right hand to Adams. Although Adams had challenged his authority in public, it made him feel a little awkward. But this also indirectly showed Adams¡¯ ability and courage, proving that Adams was a capable person. Most importantly, Adams knew when to advance and when to retreat. After defending his rights and interests, he took the initiative to take a step back. He didn¡¯t make everyone embarrassed. From the principal¡¯s point of view, it wasn¡¯t a bad thing for such a student to appear in the school! ¡°Principal, you¡¯re too polite.¡± Adams smiled and extended his hand to shake the principal¡¯s hand in a friendly manner. The surrounding students couldn¡¯t help but be surprised when they saw Adams shaking hands with the principal. The principal even showed an expression of admiration for Adams ¡°Oh god, am I seeing things?!¡± ¡°Oh my god! Adams actually shook hands with the principal after challenging his authority?!¡± ¡°Moreover, the principal even showed an expression of admiration!¡± ¡°The invigilator and Gail even had to broadcast the entire school to Adams and read the apology letter in public?!¡± ¡°This is too crazy!¡± Adams ignored the exclamations of the surrounding students. Instead, he turned his head to look at the invigilator and Gail. ¡°I hope that the apology can start now. Is there a problem?¡± The invigilator and Gail¡¯s faces were ashen. They squeezed out a few words from between their teeth: ¡°No, no problem¡¡± Thus, the incident came to an end. The surrounding students also left one after another under the teacher¡¯s instructions. Very quickly, the invigilator and Gail entered the broadcasting room and solemnly apologized to Adams in front of the entire school¡¯s teachers and students. At the entrance of the broadcasting room, the invigilator and Gail walked out after apologizing. They coincidentally bumped into Adams, who had a playful look on his face, and Peter, who had come specially to watch them make a fool of themselves. ¡°Hahaha, this is really like shooting yourself in the foot! This is too funny, hahahaha!¡± Once he saw the invigilator and Gail walk out, Peter could not help but mock them. ¡°Hmph, Adams, don¡¯t be so pleased with yourself!¡± ¡°You¡¯ll have a hard time in the future. We¡¯ll just wait and see!¡± The invigilator and Gail snorted coldly, but they did not have the face to continue accepting Peter¡¯s taunts. They turned around and left. At the same time, they secretly calculated in their hearts that they had to find an opportunity in the future to take revenge! Looking at the backs of the two leaving, Adams gently raised his eyebrows, then turned around and left. When he turned around, a small bee flew out from the pocket of his shirt and flew directly toward the two who had left. Chapter 25 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL Buzz, buzz. Bumblebee flew gently without making any sound. Then, it landed on the invigilator and stung him on the neck. ¡°Eh? Why is my neck¡¡± The invigilator touched his neck. It felt like a mosquito had stung him there. Gail turned to look at the invigilator and asked curiously, ¡°What¡¯s wrong, Uncle?¡± But suddenly, Bumblebee flew to his side and also stung the back of his neck. ¡°F*ck, how come I was bitten by a mosquito too?¡± Gail touched the back of his neck and cursed. He said something like he was really unlucky today and slowly left with the invigilator. Bumblebee flew back into Adams¡¯ shirt pocket. No one noticed it. ¡°Adams, you¡¯re really handsome today!¡± Peter patted Adams¡¯ shoulder excitedly. Adams, who had always kept a low profile, actually did such a big thing today. It really surprised him. Adams patted the shoulder that Peter had touched just now and said calmly, ¡°Hehe, it¡¯s just a small matter.¡± However, what he really thought was: An ordinary bee sting would at most cause a big bump. If it wasn¡¯t for those who were allergic to bees, it would actually be very difficult to sting people to death. However, since Bumblebee had already undergone the baptism of a grade evolution, its poison should have also been enhanced! If the previous poison could at most sting out a big bump, then would the current A-level evolution poison be able to poison people to death? This was the answer to the question Adams really wanted to know. He should know by tomorrow at the latest. Adams¡¯ lips curled up into a smile. At this moment, Jessica ran over from the front corner. When she saw Adams, her face lit up. She wanted to say something, but she realized that she had nothing to say. She could only look at Adams, smiling and remaining silent. ¡°Jessica, you¡¯re here.¡± Adams looked at Jessica, his heart filled with warmth. When the entire school was questioning him, only Jessica chose to stand on his side and trusted him without reservation. ¡°Yeah.¡± Jessica looked at Adams¡¯ sunny smile and instantly felt relieved. Although there was no verbal communication, looking at each other¡¯s eyes, she knew that their hearts were connected at this moment. ¡°Hey, hey, hey, don¡¯t stand here being so mushy!¡± ¡°There¡¯s another person beside you!¡± Peter looked at the two people who were looking at each other sweetly and couldn¡¯t help but complain. Did they treat him like air? ¡°Are they? Why didn¡¯t I see them?¡± Adams looked left and right as if he was looking for something. ¡°Jessica, did you see them?¡± ¡°Hahaha¡¡± Jessica smiled gently and then cooperated: ¡°No, there are only the two of us here. There is no third person.¡± ¡°F*ck!¡± Peter looked at the two people who were showing off their love and could not help but swear. ¡°I¡¯ve been helping you just now. Is this how you treat your good brother?¡± Peter felt that his teeth were itching and he wanted to bite Adams. ¡°Alright, alright, Buddy.¡± Adams looked at Peter¡¯s angry look and felt that it was getting more and more funny. He patted Peter on the shoulder and said with a smile, ¡°To thank you for your help, today is my treat. Let¡¯s go eat steak now, okay?¡± ¡°Oh yeah!¡± When Peter Heard Adams¡¯ words, he shouted excitedly, ¡°I¡¯m going to eat you poor today!¡± As he said that, he couldn¡¯t help but dance on the street. ¡°This guy¡¡± Adams and Jessica looked at each other and smiled helplessly. The three of them came to a beautifully decorated restaurant. Peter and Jessica stopped in their tracks. Adams turned his head and asked in puzzlement, ¡°What¡¯s wrong? You¡¯re not heading in?¡± ¡°Well¡ Adams, let¡¯s go to another restaurant,¡± Jessica said in a low voice, for fear of hurting Adams¡¯ self-esteem. The restaurant wasn¡¯t cheap. It cost at least two to three hundred dollars per person. Jessica could afford it herself, but it was Adams¡¯ treat today. And Adams¡¯ financial situation¡ ¡°That¡¯s right, Adams. This restaurant doesn¡¯t taste good. I¡¯ve tried it before. Let¡¯s switch to another one,¡± Peter said with a smile. Of course, he had eaten here before. Moreover, the taste of this restaurant wasn¡¯t as bad as he said. It was rather good. But Adams couldn¡¯t afford it. He had only said that he would starve Adams. How could he possibly starve his brothers? Adams looked at Jessica and Peter, then at the restaurant. He instantly guessed what they were thinking. Adams smiled and took Jessica¡¯s hand. He pulled Jessica into the restaurant and sat down. Jessica¡¯s face turned red when she was suddenly held by Adams. However, she didn¡¯t struggle and allowed Adams to hold her hand as they entered the dining room. ¡°Adams, you¡ Sigh¡¡± Peter shook his head helplessly. This brother of his was good in every way except for his face. ¡°Alright.¡± Peter made up his mind to secretly transfer money to Adams later. He couldn¡¯t let him lose face in front of Jessica. Then, he walked into the restaurant and sat down opposite Adams and Jessica. ¡°Waiter, please take our order.¡± Adams took the menu and ordered without giving Peter and Jessica a chance to speak. He directly ordered all the dishes for the three of them. And he specifically chose the expensive ones. Seeing Adams¡¯ behavior, Jessica and Peter silently took out their phones from under the table. Ding! Ding! The two messages rang almost at the same time. Adams took a look at his phone. It was sent from his phone. He took out his phone and looked at it. Then, he looked at Jessica and Peter helplessly. ¡°Why are the two of you transferring money to me for no reason?¡± That¡¯s right. The content of the message was the information of Jessica and Peter transferring money to him. One was 800 dollars, and it was Jessica who transferred it to him. The other was 1,000 dollars, and it was Peter who transferred it to him. ¡°I, I¡¡± Jessica stuttered a little. Her family wasn¡¯t actually very rich, and 800 dollars was all the money she had. But compared to this money, she didn¡¯t want to see Adams¡¯ pride to be hurt because he didn¡¯t have the money to pay. Chapter 26 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL Looking at Jessica¡¯s expression, Adams couldn¡¯t help but laugh. If this continued, he wouldn¡¯t be able to explain it clearly. Then no matter how delicious the meal was, it wouldn¡¯t taste good. ¡®I won¡¯t pretend anymore. I have 200,000 dollars. I¡¯m going to lay my cards on the table!¡¯ Adams immediately sent back the money he received, 1,000 dollars each. ¡°Adams, you¡¡± Jessica looked at the message on her phone. The 800 dollars that she had originally sent to Adams had been returned by Adams, and there was an additional 200 dollars. For a moment, she didn¡¯t know what to say. ¡°I know that you¡¯re doing this for my own good. You¡¯re afraid that I won¡¯t have any money.¡± A faint smile appeared on Adams¡¯ lips. ¡°But, take a look at this first.¡± As he spoke, Adams took out a stack of banknotes from the interlayer of his jacket and slammed them onto the dining table. Each of them was a hundred-dollar bill. There were thousands of dollars in total! ¡°Where did you get so much money?!¡± ¡°Bro, did you rob someone?!¡± Jessica and Peter were stunned. They hurriedly asked Adams about the origin of the money. ¡®Could he have gone to deal drugs?¡¯ This thought even flashed through Peter¡¯s mind. ¡°I got lucky during the holiday and did a small business.¡± ¡°It wasn¡¯t a robbery. It could even be said that I did a good deed.¡± ¡°In short, I have a lot of money on me now.¡± Adams shrugged. He was indeed telling the truth. Getting rid of the gang leader of Z-City and receiving the reward from the Dark Net was indeed a small business. Moreover, it was indeed a great thing. ¡°This, this is really, really unbelievable¡¡± Jessica was still in a state of shock, but since Adams said so, she believed his words. After all, in her heart, Adams never lied. The cheating incident earlier had already been proven, hadn¡¯t it? As for Peter, the brainless fellow, he was naturally easier to deceive. He immediately cried out in surprise: ¡°F*ck! Adams! Why didn¡¯t you bring me along? You must bring me along next time!¡± ¡°I want to buy shares! I want to earn so much money too!¡± Peter¡¯s loud voice attracted the dissatisfied gazes of the other customers in the restaurant. Adams spread his hands and said helplessly, ¡°With your intelligence, you won¡¯t be able to do this.¡± ¡°F*ck! Adams, you!¡± ¡ After eating and drinking his fill, Adams threw down more than a thousand dollars and held Jessica¡¯s hand as they walked out of the restaurant. ¡°You guys chat. I¡¯ll be leaving first.¡± Looking at Adams and Jessica holding hands, Peter, who was rarely smart, took a taxi and left. ¡°Adams¡¡± Jessica looked at Adams¡¯ handsome face and thought of what had happened today. Everything felt like a dream. Adams had become more stable and had a lot of money. Most importantly, he had taken the initiative to hold her hand. This was something she had never thought of in the past. No matter how she had hinted in the past, Adams had always been cold to her and had never accepted her. He could tell what she was thinking from her eyes. He knew what she was thinking, but he had never been able to do it. How could he accept her love when he couldn¡¯t even eat? It was just a waste of time. He had always kept his distance from her. No matter how close she got, he had always pretended not to know what she was thinking. But now, he had transmigrated into Adams¡¯ body and awakened the system. Then, there was naturally no need to live such a mediocre and cowardly life. There was also no need to continue avoiding Jessica. ¡°Why are you looking at me like that, Jessica?¡± Adams spread his hands and smiled. ¡°I¡¡± Jessica felt that there were countless words in her heart that she wanted to say to Adams, but she couldn¡¯t bring herself to say them. She could only mumble. Adams lit up a cigarette and said to Jessica, ¡°It¡¯s already very late. You should go home first. If you go home too late, your family will be worried.¡± ¡°Okay¡¡± Jessica lowered her head and her face was slightly red. Adams smiled and turned to leave. At this moment. ¡°Adams!¡± Jessica¡¯s voice sounded behind him. ¡°What¡¯s wrong?¡± Adams had just turned his head when Jessica hugged him. ¡°Uh!¡± Adams felt his lips touch something cold and soft, and a refreshing fragrance came from the tip of his nose. It was a soft and elastic touch. ¡°This little girl is so brave?!¡± Adams was shocked at that moment. Then, Adams didn¡¯t want to be outdone. He stuck out his tongue and stuck it into Jessica¡¯s lips, prying open her tightly shut two rows of teeth. In the end, Adams¡¯s tongue found Jessica¡¯s cowardly little tongue that was hidden deep in her teeth. They were tightly intertwined. Adams¡¯s hand didn¡¯t stop moving either. It followed Jessica¡¯s collar and quickly climbed and occupied Jessica¡¯s two peaks. ¡°Ugh¡¡± Jessica¡¯s tightly shut eyes suddenly widened. She felt her body heating up. Her saliva kept swapping and her body temperature kept rising. After a while, Jessica lay weakly in Adams¡¯ arms. After a long while, their lips parted. Both of them panted heavily and hugged each other. They wished they could rub each other into their bodies. Adams¡¯ hand slowly reached under Jessica¡¯s¡ Seeing that Adams wanted to take a step further and finish the rest of the work, Jessica couldn¡¯t help but panic. ¡°I, I want to go home!¡± As she said that, she broke free from Adams¡¯ embrace, covered her face, turned around, and ran into the distance without looking back. It was as if that scene had drained all her courage. Looking at Jessica¡¯s back, Adams smiled helplessly. Then, he took out a cigarette, lit it, and left. There was still a long time to go, so there was no need to rush. ¡ Just as Adams and Jessica were passionately kissing, the Dark Net branch in charge of the Z-City region was deeply shocked by the mission that Adams had completed the last time. Chapter 27 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL Dark Net branch, in charge of Z-City¡¯s studio. ¡°Boss, look! The guy who accepted the 2-star mission from Z-City yesterday submitted the mission on the same day!¡± The Dark Net staff in charge of Z-City¡¯s area widened his eyes at this moment and shouted loudly while pointing at the computer screen. The loud voice was so loud that everyone in the studio could hear it. Immediately, five or six people ran over to watch. ¡°Huh? They just completed a 2-star mission. Why are you so excited?¡± The bald man walked over with a cup of coffee. The bald man took a sip of coffee and said calmly. ¡°Although you just joined the company, you were surprised to this extent by completing a 2-star mission on the same day. This is too useless.¡± ¡°No, Boss. The Verification Department has already confirmed that the mission¡¯s rating is SSS!¡± Pfft! The bald man spat out the coffee in his mouth. However, he couldn¡¯t care less about that. He quickly walked up to a few employees who were watching the show and stared at the computer screen. ¡°How is this possible? Is it really SSS?!¡± The bald man¡¯s eyes revealed deep shock. There were very few assassins who accepted the mission on the same day and completed the mission on the same day. However, it wasn¡¯t impossible. However, assassins who accepted the mission on the same day and completed the mission on the same day with an SSS-rating were indeed very rare existences, even if it was a low-level 2-star mission. After every assassin completed the mission, the assessment department would collect information about the mission and give the mission a rating. The lowest rating was D-rank completion. Just by killing the person, he had just reached the threshold of completing the mission. Whether mission completion time was too slow, the method was too crude, and he had also exposed himself, there was no technique to speak of. Generally, as long as this kind of behavior occurred, then his mission rating would definitely be D. If the modus operandi was meticulous, and there were few traces and evidence left behind, the probability of exposing oneself was very low, and the completion speed of the mission was also very fast, then you had a chance to get an S-grade evaluation. The mission evaluation level was very important, and it directly affected the killer¡¯s rising star speed. If an assassin¡¯s mission evaluation level was very low every time he completed a mission, only D or C-grade, then he might need to complete more than ten or even twenty missions before he could complete star advancement. For example, from a 5-star assassin to a 6-star assassin. However, if his mission evaluation level remained at A-grade, or even above, then he only needed to complete ten missions, or even fewer, to be able to advance from a 5-star assassin to a 6-star assassin. As for the average outstanding assassin, their mission rating would usually hover around A-grade, and sometimes, if they were lucky, they would be able to reach S-grade. This was already very impressive. Only those true super-elite assassins would be able to maintain their mission rating at S-grade, or even SS. However, even for them, it would be very difficult for them to reach SSS-grade! Even among the dozens of missions completed, there would not be a single SSS mission! Because the SSS mission meant that there was no evidence left behind for this mission! The killer used an extremely superb killing technique! There was no possibility of exposing himself! And the efficiency of completing the mission extremely quickly! In the modern society where technology was so advanced and cameras were everywhere, this was undoubtedly very difficult to achieve! Therefore, Adams¡¯ SSS mission evaluation level this time had really given the bald man and the others who were in charge of the Dark Net of Z-City a shock! Even if this mission was only a 2-star mission, a 2-star mission reaching SSS-grade was not something that an ordinary person could do! The bald man¡¯s mind worked quickly and quickly came up with the following possible conclusions: ¡°It could be the luck of a newbie who just happened to complete this perfect mission. Although the possibility of such a situation is very small, it hasn¡¯t happened before.¡± ¡°It could also be a genius in the world of assassins, or the disciple of some super-assassins. Those would display amazing talent even though they just entered the world of assassins!¡± ¡°In the end, this kind of person would at least be a 7-star assassin!¡± ¡°And the most terrifying possibility is that a nine-star super-assassin wants to break through to the rank of a legendary assassin, so he opened a new account and started killing people from the beginning for the mission evaluation level!¡± ¡°Because, if you want to become a legendary assassin, the mission success rate must not be lower than 99%, and the mission evaluation level must not be lower than S-grade!¡± ¡°Even if the rating of all your other missions is above S-rank, as long as you appear once with an A-rank rating, then you will never become a legendary assassin!¡± ¡°Therefore, many 9-star assassins who want to become legendary assassins will choose to open a new account and use a new identity to become a legendary assassin!¡± ¡°If it¡¯s only the first possibility, then it¡¯s fine, but if it¡¯s the second possibility, then it¡¯s terrifying¡¡± ¡°And if it¡¯s the third possibility¡¡± Thinking of this, the bald man¡¯s back turned cold, and he immediately broke out in cold sweat! ¡°No matter which one it is, small employees like us can¡¯t afford to offend them.¡± The bald man took a sip of coffee and said in a serious tone, ¡°Gardner, hide his account¡¯s rating and label it as a 7-star account!¡± ¡°No matter what requests or questions he has, try to satisfy him as soon as possible!¡± ¡°When he submits and completes the mission, it¡¯s also called the Audit Department to audit him immediately!¡± ¡°Yes, Boss, I¡¯ve received it.¡± Gardner nodded seriously. Every Dark Net assassin¡¯s account would have someone mark him with a hidden rating based on his potential. The higher the rating, the higher the service and priority of the various events. Therefore, even though some assassins were only 3-star, their mission review was faster than some 4-star and 5-star assassins, and customer service had a higher priority. This was the reason! And now, with a 1-star assassin rating, Adams enjoyed the service of a 7-star assassin! This, in the history of the Dark Net, was also extremely rare! Chapter 28 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL The next day, when the first rays of the sun shone in the room, Adams was up. Adams poured himself a cup of the expensive coffee he had bought the day before. He washed up briefly and drank the coffee in one gulp. Then he lit up a cigarette and took a long drag. The flash had blinded him after it dissipated. He left the house to hail a cab. He didn¡¯t think much of it, but he decided to go to school today. He walked over to the front of the class and sat down in his chair. Jessica entered the room a short while later. She exchanged looks with Adams, then blushed and avoided his gaze. After what had happened the previous night, she still didn¡¯t know how to face Adams. After a while, Peter walked in as well. When he saw Adams, he immediately shouted excitedly: ¡°Adams! Guess what happened yesterday!¡± Adams was speechless. ¡°Let me guess. Maybe I quarreled with the invigilator? There was a brainless guy who was there, but he seemed to have forgotten about it today.¡± ¡°F*ck! Adams, I¡¯m not talking about this!¡± Peter was so angry that he shouted, and then he said quickly, ¡°However, this matter does seem to have something to do with you.¡± Adams raised his eyebrows. He had a vague idea of what had happened, but he still asked, ¡°It has something to do with me? Then what is it?¡± ¡°I think I was the only one who argued with the invigilator yesterday. I left after he apologized. I don¡¯t know what else happened.¡± Adams¡¯ tone was very innocent. He directly brushed aside everything that had happened between him and the invigilator. ¡°You¡¯re right, Buddy.¡± Peter thought for a moment and found that this matter indeed had nothing to do with Adams. ¡°But I still have to say, yesterday morning, do you still remember Gerrard at the school gate?¡± Adams smiled in his heart. It was indeed about this matter. But he put on a puzzled expression and asked Peter, ¡°Gerrard? Of course I remember. That kid showed off his wealth in front of us, then he got into the car with two girls and drove around the school gate to show off. I was so angry yesterday. How could I not remember him? Why? What happened to him?¡± ¡°F*ck! It¡¯s that kid!¡± Peter ran to the table, and a lot of words came out of his mouth: ¡°When that kid was flaunting his wealth in front of me, I wanted to pull him over and beat him up!¡± ¡°But you know, fighting at the school gate is not good, so I let him go yesterday.¡± ¡°But when he got into the car with the two girls and left, I made a wish to God in my heart, begging him to get into a car accident and kill that kid!¡± ¡°But yesterday, God heard my call! This kid really got his comeuppance!¡± Peter said while his eyes were still emitting a devout light. ¡°No, Peter.¡± Adams shrugged helplessly and said to Peter, ¡°If God really exists, then he wouldn¡¯t respond to your rude request.¡± ¡°And compared to God, I¡¯m more worried about what happened to Gerrard and the two girls.¡± The expression on Adams¡¯ face at this time was that of a good man who was worried about the safety of his classmates. ¡°F*ck! Adams, he mocked you yesterday, and you¡¯re still thinking about him?!¡± ¡°After all, we¡¯re all classmates. I certainly don¡¯t want anything to happen to them.¡± Adams sneered in his heart. Of course, he didn¡¯t care about the lives of those three idiots. He just wanted to try his best to distance himself from this matter. The caring expression on his face, in the eyes of the other students, coincidentally proved that he had nothing to do with this matter. ¡°Sigh, alright.¡± Peter sighed. He really couldn¡¯t stand this kind personality of Adams. The other students who were listening to their conversation and had figured out what had happened also felt that Adams was too kind. They had no idea that they had been deceived by Adams¡¯ kind mask. ¡°They were too proud at that time. They directly crashed into the wall.¡± ¡°The front of the car was directly knocked into half. It was a terrible scene.¡± ¡°A buddy posted a few pictures of the scene in the communication group. Even the wheels of the car were sent flying dozens of meters away,¡± Peter said while pretending to be afraid. ¡°Where is that guy? How is he?¡± A classmate who was listening to Peter curiously asked. This was also the question that everyone was most concerned about. ¡°That guy Gerrard was carried into the ICU on the spot.¡± ¡°He has been saved for a day and a night. He is still in danger.¡± ¡°I heard that even if he is cured, he might be in a vegetative state.¡± Peter spread his hands and looked helpless. Even if he had cursed Gerrard and the others to get into a car accident, now that it had really happened and was so serious, he could not be happy. ¡°Then, what about the other two girls?¡± another student asked. ¡°Because the two girls were sitting in the back seat, nothing serious happened.¡± Peter took a sip of Coke and continued, ¡°But it was not a small matter. At least they will have to lie in the hospital for a few months.¡± ¡°They should be glad because at that time, the two of them were still fighting over the front passenger seat.¡± ¡°They almost fought over it. The final decision was that neither of them would sit in the front passenger seat.¡± ¡°Otherwise, Gerrard¡¯s intensive care unit might have one more neighbor.¡± ¡°Or there might be another sleeping soul in the cemetery.¡± Peter shrugged, his tone carrying a hint of black humor. Chapter 29 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL ¡°What a pity.¡± Adams¡¯ tone was filled with regret. Of course, he was regretting why he didn¡¯t directly kill that Idiot Gerrard. But his regretful tone, in the eyes of the other students, was because he was sad about Gerrard¡¯s accident. Adams¡¯ action immediately won him the favor of many students. ¡°Adams is too kind.¡± ¡°Gerrard clearly offended Adams in the beginning, but now Adams is still sad about Gerrard¡¯s accident.¡± ¡°Adams always shows mercy to those who offend him.¡± ¡°It¡¯s the same for what happened yesterday. Adams could have kicked the invigilator out of the school, but in the end, he only chose to let the invigilator apologize.¡± ¡°My god, what an outstanding person Adams is!¡± As the students praised him, Jessica looked at Adams with more and more admiration. ¡°Speaking of the invigilator, did you notice that he and Gail didn¡¯t come to school today?¡± One of the students suddenly realized that he didn¡¯t see Gail coming to school today. ¡°Maybe he felt that he lost too much face yesterday, so he didn¡¯t have the face to come to school today.¡± One of the students expressed his understanding. He had caused such a huge commotion yesterday. He had made a bet and was going to expel Adams. He had attracted so many people to watch, but in the end, he was the one who made a fool of himself. He had to write an apology letter to Adams and apologize to Adams in public on the school broadcast. Who could bear that? If he had been the one who had lost face, he definitely wouldn¡¯t have come to school for a week. ¡°But they don¡¯t seem to be that thin-skinned?¡± ¡°I don¡¯t see how yesterday¡¯s incident had much of an impact on them.¡± Another student voiced his opinion. Peter recalled what the two of them had said to him and Adams at the entrance of the broadcasting room yesterday. He immediately felt a sense of agreement: ¡°That¡¯s right. After apologizing yesterday, the two of them acted as if nothing had happened. They are really thick-skinned. How could they not have the face to come to school today!?¡± Adams smiled faintly. It must have been the bee sting that had worked yesterday. He did not know whether they were dead, half-dead, or in a coma. Just as the students were discussing the proctor and Gail, Peter looked at his phone and shouted in surprise, ¡°I know where the proctor and Gail are!¡± ¡°They are in the hospital!¡± ¡°What?!¡± Peter¡¯s words immediately attracted the attention of the entire class. Immediately, a group of people surrounded him. ¡°Hurry up, Peter. What happened?!¡± ¡°What exactly happened to Gail and the invigilator? How are they?¡± ¡°They¡¯re fine. How did they end up in the hospital?¡± With so many questions from the students, Peter felt a headache coming on. He raised his phone and shouted, ¡°F*ck! F*ck! Stop squeezing! Speak slowly! I¡¯m about to die from your noise!¡± Only then did his classmates shut their mouths. Then, they looked at Peter in unison, waiting for him to explain things clearly. Cough, cough! Peter saw that so many classmates were looking at him, waiting for him to give an answer. He, who had always lacked attention, suddenly felt a little proud. ¡°I just swiped on my phone. Gail¡¯s friend shared a news update on social media!¡± ¡°Gail and his uncle, our invigilator, suddenly fainted when they went home yesterday.¡± ¡°At that time, the invigilator was still driving. Suddenly, he felt a bout of dizziness and fainted.¡± ¡°The car crashed into another car on the side of the road. Gail also fainted.¡± ¡°Fortunately, the speed of the car was not too fast, so he only suffered some minor injuries.¡± ¡°Then, a passerby called the police and called an ambulance to save them.¡± ¡°When they arrived at the hospital to check, the injuries from the car accident were only minor. The cause of their coma was poison!¡± Peter became more and more excited as he spoke. He stood on the desk and waved his arms around, looking very excited. ¡°Poison?!¡± The surrounding students immediately exclaimed in surprise. This was really too surprising! ¡°That¡¯s right, it¡¯s poison!¡± Peter jumped down from the desk and said while looking at his phone, ¡°The doctors can¡¯t even tell what kind of poison it is.¡± ¡°They say it¡¯s a little bee poison, but it¡¯s very different from bee poison.¡± ¡°Besides, bee poison can¡¯t poison people to this extent.¡± ¡°In short, Gail and the invigilator are still in the hospital for resuscitation.¡± ¡°We don¡¯t know what will happen next, or if they can save them.¡± Peter shrugged as he spoke. Adams frowned as he saw that the poison was still too weak. After going through an A-grade evolution, it was still not able to poison people to death. Perhaps, he could find a way to strengthen Bumblebee¡¯s poison in the future. If he wanted to evolve, it would be fine. To evolve from A-grade to S-grade, it would cost a total of ten million dollars! This was something that he couldn¡¯t afford no matter what. Moreover, 10 million dollars was just random evolution. If he wanted to evolve the poison, he would need 30 million dollars! He probably wouldn¡¯t be able to dream of having so much money. Therefore, he could only rule out the idea of evolution for now. Adams suddenly thought ¡ª he didn¡¯t have to rely on Bumblebee¡¯s poison. If he smeared poison on its stinger, the effect would be the same! The man-made poison was directly eliminated by Adams. With a god-tier Animal Evolution System, animal poison was naturally the wisest choice. Moreover, the poison could evolve according to the evolution of the animal, making the poison even more potent! Adams made up his mind that he would have to go to the pet shop to buy a pet that was highly toxic. Chapter 30 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL The bell rang, and the teacher entered the classroom, and everyone dispersed. After all, after yesterday¡¯s incident, the invigilator and Gail had deliberately targeted Adams, and their ratings in the class were getting lower and lower, and the students no longer had a good impression of them. So when they had an accident and were poisoned, few people would feel sad for them. On the contrary, there were a few people like Peter who were even happy. It was afternoon. The day at school passed just like that. There were no other stupid things like flaunting their wealth or targeting them. Adams successfully stayed at school until the end of the day. At the school gate, Jessica lowered her head and shyly invited Adams to eat. ¡°Adams, do you want to have dinner together?¡± Jessica lowered her head. After what happened last night, she didn¡¯t dare to look at Adams. ¡°I¡¯m sorry, Jessica. I have something to do later,¡± Adams said helplessly with an apologetic tone. He was going to the pet market to buy two pets and expand his animal killer team. If he was late, they might be closed. ¡°Oh¡ Alright then¡¡± Jessica¡¯s expression was a little depressed. She didn¡¯t understand why Adams would reject her. ¡®Could it be that Adams doesn¡¯t actually like me?¡¯ This thought arose in her mind and made her panic. Adams didn¡¯t notice Jessica¡¯s expression. He smiled and turned around to leave: ¡°See you tomorrow, Jessica.¡± ¡°Yeah, see you tomorrow. Adams¡¡± Jessica looked at Adams¡¯ back in disappointment. She was holding two movie tickets in her hands. She originally wanted to go to the movies with Adams after dinner tonight. ¡ Looking at Adams, who still had more than 100,000 USD left, he felt that he had to do something. Right now, he only had one Bumblebee under his command. Some missions could be carried out, while others could not be carried out. For now, assassinations were still acceptable. However, if he were to encounter those fellows whose combat strength was off the charts in the future, or if he was ambushed and wanted to fight them head-on, Bumblebee would not be of much use. Most importantly, he was only a 1-star assassin at the moment. However, when he reached 5-star, 6-star, or even 7-star or 8-star in the future, the enemies he would face would definitely be very powerful. If his strength did not increase as well, he might die at any time. Therefore, under this situation, Adams decided to expand his assassin team. Adams took a taxi and went to the nearest pet shop. After entering, Adams found that there were only a few pet cats and dogs in the pet shop, but they did not have any animals that could kill. Adams frowned. It seemed like an ordinary pet shop wouldn¡¯t be able to meet his needs. He immediately took out his phone and searched for the largest pet market nearby. He got into a taxi and headed there. Half an hour later, Adams arrived at the pet market. As the number of single men and women increased, and some lonely elderly people became more and more lonely, the pet market had become more and more popular. Even at night, there was a lot of traffic. A large number of people in the pet market went back and forth, choosing their favorite pet. And in most of the pets, dog pets were the most popular. Adams was now in the pet market. Most shops sold pets such as cats and dogs. But for Adams, dogs were currently not among his target animal species. Because Adams was now an assassin, his main job was to assassinate. And a huge target like a pet dog would attract a lot of attention. So, Adams naturally did not need to introduce a dog to his pet assassin team. At least not for the time being. But Adams didn¡¯t know what pet to buy, so he wandered around the pet market and began to shop. After about ten minutes, Adams had visited five shops. These five shops were mostly for cats and dogs, so Adams simply asked for the price and walked out. Although cats were smaller than dogs, they were still too big. Half an hour later. When Adams walked into a pet shop that was decorated in the same style as the library. Looking at the various pets hanging on the walls and windows, Adams¡¯ eyes lit up. He finally found a pet shop that didn¡¯t just sell cats and dogs. ¡°Dear Sir, what would you like to buy?¡± A well-dressed middle-aged man wearing a monocle came over to serve Adams. ¡°Let me take a look first.¡± Adams nodded to him and began to shop around. There were quite a few types of pets in this shop. Turtles, cats, dogs, pigs, foxes¡ Almost every kind of animal was available, but none of them were what Adams wanted. The shop owner looked at Adams, but he still didn¡¯t want to buy anything. He took a step forward and asked, ¡°Dear Sir, what kind of pets do you want?¡± Adams raised his eyebrows. He didn¡¯t want to hide it anymore and said directly, ¡°I want poisonous pets.¡± Then he added, ¡°The ones that are highly poisonous.¡± Chapter 31 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL ¡°Is it poisonous? Or is it extremely poisonous?¡± The boss sized up Adams from head to toe. It was as though he was officially treating Adams from now on. ¡°What did you buy it for?¡± the boss asked Adams. ¡°It¡¯s my personal interest. I¡¯ve liked all kinds of poisonous creatures since I was young.¡± Adams was lying through his teeth. Anyone who heard him would know that he was lying. ¡°Oh, I see.¡± The boss did not care about that. It was as if he really believed what Adams said. The Boss took off his monocle and wiped it with a piece of cloth. He said slowly, ¡°But poisonous pets are very expensive.¡± ¡°Is this enough?¡± Adams took out a stack of green bills from the lining of his coat. It was obvious that it was worth at least a few thousand dollars. ¡°That¡¯s enough, Sir.¡± The Boss put on his monocle again and said to Adams, ¡°Please follow me, Sir.¡± Then, he led Adams to the second floor of the shop. After passing through a corridor, they stopped in front of a room. The owner took out a key, unlocked the door, and led Adams inside. When Adams entered the room, the smell of disinfectant mixed with the stench of various animals made him cover his nose. The things in the room attracted Adams¡¯ attention. The room was filled with glass cabinets. There were all kinds of poisonous or illegal animals in the cabinets. For example, poisonous snakes, spiders, lizards, centipedes, and even pangolins and monkeys. ¡°Is the boss running a zoo here?¡± Adams couldn¡¯t help but make a joke. ¡°Hehehe, they don¡¯t have these things in the zoo.¡± The boss looked amiable and continued Adams¡¯ words. After all, he was a businessman, and amiability made money. ¡°May I ask which one you like, Sir? Please feel free to choose.¡± ¡°Let me take a look first.¡± Adams looked around and began to think: ¡®There¡¯s no need for scorpions because I want to be an animal that can produce venom.¡¯ ¡®And for Scorpions, the venom they can produce seems to be very limited.¡¯ ¡®According to this logic, spiders are not good either.¡¯ Adams shook his head and walked to the area where snakes were displayed. There were a bunch of cobras in the glass cabinet. They were coiling around each other and slithering around. It was very scary. If someone with a phobia of snakes came here, they would probably pee themselves. Adams was a little scared. Fear of snakes was engraved in human genes and DNA. Since ancient times, poisonous snakes had been an inescapable barrier for humans to survive in the wild. It was normal to be afraid of snakes. Adams looked left and right and suddenly found that a snake was locked up alone. This aroused Adams¡¯ curiosity, so he asked the boss, ¡°Boss, other snakes are locked up in groups. Why is this snake in a separate cage?¡± ¡°Even if it¡¯s biased, it can¡¯t be done like this. Is this fair to the other snakes? What will the other snakes think when they see this?¡± ¡°Respected Sir, you must be joking. I don¡¯t know what¡¯s going on with that snake. It seems very ferocious.¡± ¡°If it¡¯s locked up with the other cobras, it will kill all the other cobras. This is unfair to the other snakes.¡± The boss explained with a relaxed expression, echoing Adams¡¯ joke. ¡°It¡¯s that powerful?¡± Adams scratched his head. He didn¡¯t really know much about snakes. Like the others, he was more afraid of snakes, so he naturally wouldn¡¯t take the initiative to understand them. He only knew rattlesnakes, cobras, king cobras, and other famous poisonous snakes. They were almost the same anyway. They could poison people to death. A poison that could poison a person to death once was no different from a poison that could poison a person to death ten times, or even a hundred times, in Adams¡¯ eyes. Adams pointed at the cobra that was being held in solitary confinement and said, ¡°Boss, I¡¯ll take this one. Pack it up for me.¡± ¡°Okay, please wait a moment.¡± The boss went forward to deal with it. Soon, he put the cobra into a box and handed it to Adams. Just as Adams was about to walk out of the second floor, he suddenly realized that there was a mantis in the window. Adams¡¯ heart skipped a beat Although he had just bought a cobra, he only bought it to increase the toxicity of Bumblebee. Strictly speaking, Bumblebee was the only member of his current animal killer team that could be effective. If bumblebee failed, then he would have no means at all. It was necessary for him to buy a pet that could carry out assassinations to increase his trump card. The mantis could fly. It was very small and had a certain degree of concealment. If he could increase the scythe in its hand, its attack power would be greatly increased. Think about it. If Bumblebee¡¯s sting attack failed, the target would be feeling lucky and relaxed. A mantis suddenly jumped out of the darkness and slashed the throat of the target. What a wonderful scene! Thinking of this, Adams no longer hesitated and directly took down the mantis. ¡°Sir, be careful. Its hand knife is very sharp. Don¡¯t be hurt by its sharp blade,¡± the owner of the pet shop kindly reminded Adams. ¡°I will. It won¡¯t hurt me.¡± Adams nodded and added in his heart, ¡®It will only hurt others.¡¯ At the entrance of the shop, Adams paid the bill. Just as he was about to leave with the newly bought cobra, he saw a crow hanging in the upper right corner of the door. Chapter 32 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL This crow was different from other crows. Its feathers were not pure black, but even a little gray. It was not difficult to see that there was something wrong with the crow¡¯s genes. As for its appearance, it was basically worthless. For owners who liked to raise crows as pets, they preferred the pure-colored crows. That was because the pure-colored crows meant that their bloodlines were good. And this kind of crow with mixed fur colors belonged to a very ordinary existence. ¡°Boss, what¡¯s the situation with that crow?¡± Adams saw that the cage holding the crow was actually open. This crow could actually enter and exit at will, so he couldn¡¯t help but ask curiously. ¡°Dear Sir, this crow has been staying in my shop since last year.¡± ¡°I didn¡¯t want to take it in at first, but it couldn¡¯t be chased away. It has been staying in my shop all this time.¡± ¡°I saw that it was so small and its daily food didn¡¯t cost much, so I decided to keep it,¡± the boss explained with a smile. ¡°Later, I made a cage for it. I didn¡¯t close the cage and let it go in and out.¡± ¡°It always leaves whenever it wants. I didn¡¯t expect it to stay until now.¡± The owner looked at the mottled crow and reached out his right hand. The mottled crow saw the owner reach out his right hand and flew down from the cage. It stood on the owner¡¯s arm and looked very spiritual. ¡°Then, owner, how much is this crow?¡± Seeing that the crow was so intelligent, Adams could not help but have the idea of buying it. ¡°Sorry, it¡¯s not for sale.¡± The owner shook his head. He looked at Adams¡¯ disappointed expression and added with a smile, ¡°This crow is fated to be with me, so I won¡¯t sell it.¡± ¡°However, if you can make it willingly go with you, I¡¯ll give it to you.¡± ¡°Not for sale? Give it to me?¡± Adams smiled. The boss was going to be at a disadvantage today. ¡°Then it¡¯s a deal. Don¡¯t go back on your word.¡± The boss shook his head and said with a smile, ¡°Don¡¯t worry, Sir. I¡¯ve been running a pet shop here for more than ten years. It¡¯s all about honesty.¡± ¡°Okay.¡± Adams immediately reached out his hand to the mottled crow hanging on the boss¡¯ arm, hoping that it could run to his hand. Unfortunately, the crow did not move. It just stood there and tidied its feathers with its mouth. ¡°Sir, it seems that it doesn¡¯t like you.¡± The boss touched the crow¡¯s head, and there was a hint of pride in his smile. ¡°Is that so?¡± Adams¡¯ lips curled into a smile. Perhaps the boss was right. This crow did not like him. But he had the system! Adams reached out his hand and grabbed the mixed-hair crow¡¯s legs at an extremely fast speed. ¡°Sir, please don¡¯t do this!¡± The boss frowned and his tone was filled with anger. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, I won¡¯t hurt it.¡± Adams said as he stroked the mixed-hair crow, [Ding ¡ª Detected that the host has captured a mongrel crow. Do you wish to keep it as a pet?] Adams smiled. As expected! [Pet confirmed!] [Ding ¡ª Congratulations to the host for obtaining a pet ¡ª [Mongrel Crow].] As the system¡¯s notification sounded, the mongrel crow that was struggling violently suddenly stopped screaming and became quiet. Adams let go of its legs. The mottled crow stood up, flapped its wings, and flew to Adams¡¯ head. It began to comb Adams¡¯ hair with its mouth, looking very obedient. ¡°This, this¡ How is this possible?!¡± The pet shop owner¡¯s eyes were full of shock. The mottled crow that was struggling fiercely suddenly fell into Adams¡¯ arms, and it looked so friendly! Moreover, it didn¡¯t look at him from the beginning to the end, as if it didn¡¯t know him at all! ¡®I¡¯ve raised you for a year in vain!¡¯ At this moment, the pet shop owner only thought, ¡®F**ker!¡¯ ¡°Heh.¡± Adams¡¯ lips curled into a smile. According to what the pet shop owner had said just now, this crow only ate in his shop and lived in a cage. The owner of the pet shop did not keep it as a pet from the beginning to the end! Therefore, this crow had always been an animal without an owner! The system¡¯s capture condition was that as long as the animal without an owner was controlled, it would be subdued by the system and take Adams as its master! From then on, it would become Adams¡¯ pet and be 100% loyal to Adams! That was why Adams had suddenly made a move to capture the mongrel crow. Now, the mongrel crow was completely Adams¡¯ pet! Adams teased the mongrel crow¡¯s head and said to the boss with a smile, ¡°Boss, it seems like it likes me very much.¡± ¡°Hmph¡¡± The pet shop owner snorted and turned his head away from Adams. He was in a bad mood because the crow that he had kept for more than a year had been taken away by someone for nothing. ¡°Shall I go first?¡± Adams didn¡¯t get angry when he saw that the owner didn¡¯t want to talk to him. After all, he had just taken away his crow and hadn¡¯t paid him a cent. No one would be happy about that. He walked out of the pet shop with the crow, cobra, and mantis, called a taxi on the street, and went back home. Adams opened the door and let the cobra and mantis out of the box. At the same time, the crow took off from Adams¡¯ shoulder and flew around the house. The cobra was crawling on the ground, and the crow and mantis were flying in the sky. Adams looked at the scene in front of him and could only say that it was very lively. Fortunately, the cobra had been subdued by Adams and became his pet, so Adams did not have to worry about it suddenly biting him. Adams had also given them orders through the system that the three animals were not allowed to hurt each other. ¡°Host, please name your new pets.¡± Chapter 33 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL [If the name is not given, the default scientific name will be used.] ¡°The cobra shall be called Spectacles.¡± ¡°The mantis shall be called Sickle.¡± ¡°As for the crow, it shall be called the Black Feather.¡± [Ding ¡ª Congratulations to the host for successfully naming it.] As Adams successfully named it, the pet¡¯s attributes panel also popped up: [Spectacles] Serial Number: 002 Master: Adams Combat Strength: 30 Evolvable: Whole body organs. ¡ [Sickle] Serial Number: 003 Master: Adams Combat Strength: 5 Evolvable: Whole body organs ¡ [Black Feather] Serial Number: 004 Master: Adams Combat Strength: 15 Evolvable: Whole body organs ¡ After reading the pets¡¯ attributes panel, Adams poured himself a cup of coffee and lit up a cigarette as usual. There was another problem. He bought three pets: Spectacles, Sickle, and Black Feather. However, Adams only had a few hundred thousand dollars on him now. ¡°Just the random evolution of the D-rank alone costs ten thousand dollars.¡± ¡°If I choose to evolve, the price will double, and that will be twenty thousand dollars!¡± ¡°If it is a random evolution of the C-rank, it will be even more terrifying. The starting price will be one hundred thousand dollars.¡± ¡°Right now, I can only undergo a dozen or so random D-rank evolutions.¡± ¡°Or one random C-rank evolution, plus a few random D-rank evolutions.¡± ¡°How should I evolve the best?¡± Adams fell into deep thought. ¡°The reason I bought Spectacles was to increase the venom of Bumblebee.¡± ¡°On its own, it won¡¯t be of much help to assassinations.¡± ¡°Besides, the poison it carries is enough to poison a person to death.¡± ¡°Even if it continues to evolve and make the poison stronger, it won¡¯t be of much use.¡± ¡°After all, the poison that can poison a person to death once isn¡¯t much different from the poison that can poison a person to death a hundred times.¡± Adams continued to ponder. ¡°Therefore, the evolution of Spectacles can be put aside for now and evolve other animals first.¡± Adams made up his mind and looked at Black Feather and Sickle. ¡°Among them, another powerful assassination method is what I need the most at the moment.¡± ¡°And the Sickle¡¯s damage after evolution should be stronger than Black Feather¡¯s.¡± ¡°It has a pair of scythes, after all.¡± Therefore, in Adams¡¯ mind, the priority of the scythe evolution was higher than Black Feather¡¯s. ¡°After spending these few days and buying these pets just now, I still have about 180,000 dollars left.¡± ¡°But I can¡¯t spend all the money directly. I have to keep some for living expenses.¡± Adams thought about it seriously. He poured himself another cup of coffee and lit up a cigarette. When he sat down again, he had a plan in mind. ¡°I¡¯ll spend 100,000 dollars to randomly evolve Sickle and Black Feather.¡± ¡°Then I¡¯ll randomly evolve Sickle and Black Feather to D-rank based on the situation.¡± ¡°I¡¯ll keep around 30,000 dollars for my daily expenses and mission expenses.¡± ¡°So, the final result is¡¡± ¡°A 100,000 USD C-rank random evolution, five 10,000 USD D-rank random evolution.¡± Adams drank the coffee in one gulp and summoned Sickle and Black Feather. ¡°System, I want to evolve!¡± The system immediately replied: [D-rank random evolution: 10,000 USD, evolution of choice: Price doubled!] [C-rank random evolution: $100,000 USD, evolution of choice: Price doubled!] [B-rank random evolution: $1,000,000 USD, evolution of choice: Price doubled!] [A-rank random evolution: $5,000,000 USD, evolution of choice: Price tripled!] [S-rank random evolution: $10,000,000 USD, evolution of choice: Price tripled!] [SS-rank random evolution: Requires completion of special mission!] [SSS-rank random evolution: Requires completion of special mission!] ¡ Adams decided to start with the low-level random evolution. ¡°System, D-rank random evolution for Black Feather!¡± [Ding! Deducting $10,000.] [Ding! System is undergoing evolution for [Black Feather]!] [Ding! Congratulations host, evolution successful!] [Ding! [ Black Feather ] D-Grade evolution successful, this time evolving [Organ and Brain]!] As the system¡¯s voice fell, Black Feather turned its head in a human-like manner, and its small eyes began to emit a light of wisdom. ¡°Evolved intelligence? It should be pretty good.¡± Adams felt that Black Feather had become more closely connected to him, and it became easier for him to command it. It could also understand his meaning more quickly. ¡°Let¡¯s continue with the plan.¡± Adams took a deep breath and continued to speak to the system: ¡°System, D-rank random evolution of Black Feather!¡± [Ding! Deducting $10,000.] [Ding! The system is undergoing evolution of [Black Feather]!] [Ding! Congratulations to host, evolution successful!] [Ding! [Black Feather] D-Grade evolution successful, this evolution is [Organ-Voice]!] ¡°Voice?¡± Adams repeated this word in confusion. What was the use of this thing? ¡°Voice?¡± Suddenly, a voice sounded. It was 70% similar to Adams¡¯ voice, but it sounded even more hoarse. ¡°Who is it?¡± Adams was startled. He thought someone had sneaked into his house. ¡°Who is it?¡± The voice repeated itself. This time, Adams finally figured out the source of the voice. It was Black Feather! Black Feather was imitating his speech?! A crow could speak like a human?! Chapter 34 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL Adams was truly shocked. He did not expect that apart from the parrot, a crow could also speak human language. However, he quickly realized that it should be the system¡¯s credit. The crow¡¯s evolution of [Organ-Voice] should be referring to its ability to imitate human speech. ¡®After evolving the brain and voice, it has become more intelligent and can speak like a human¡¡¯ Adams rubbed his chin and began to ponder. He vaguely thought of the crow¡¯s future development path. ¡®Let¡¯s not think about it for now. There¡¯s no use thinking about it anymore. Let¡¯s continue the next evolution first.¡¯ Adams looked at Sickle that was obediently lying on the table. Evolving it first would be of greater help to his current self. ¡°System, D-rank random evolution of Sickle!¡± [Ding! Deducting $10,000.] [Ding! System is evolving [Sickle]!] [Ding! Congratulations to host, evolution successful!] [Ding! [Sickle] D-rank evolution successful, evolution [Organ-Body]!] ¡°Body?¡± Adams looked at the sickle on the table and realized that the sickle¡¯s body had become much larger. Adams grabbed the scythe and pinched its body. He felt that its body had become much harder. If he were to slam the scythe to the ground, it wouldn¡¯t cause much damage. ¡°This is quite useful.¡± Adams nodded. If he could evolve this, at least he wouldn¡¯t have to worry about it dying from a casual pat when he was on a mission. ¡°Let¡¯s continue.¡± After evolving three times, there was only one chance left for C-grade random evolution and two chances for D-grade random evolution. ¡°System, D-grade random evolution for Sickle!¡± [Ding! Deducting $10,000.] [Ding! The system is evolving [Sickle]!] [Ding! Congratulations host, evolution successful!] [Ding! [Sickle] D-Grade evolution successful, evolution [Organ-Wings]!] ¡°Wings?!¡± This evolution was beyond Adams¡¯ expectations, because this evolution was simply too great! Because wings were really too important to a mantis. It was only slightly less important than the pair of sickles in its hands. After the evolution of the wings, the speed of the sickle, its flight duration, its concealment, and the sturdiness of the wings should have all improved. This was undoubtedly a very lucky random evolution. Adams immediately let Sickle fly, wanting to test the results of the evolution. Buzz, buzz¨C Sickle flapped its wings and took off. The sound was much less than before! Its speed, endurance, and tenacity had increased tremendously. It was not an exaggeration to say that the current scythe could fight against ten scythes that had not evolved yet. ¡°But, it still doesn¡¯t seem to be enough¡¡± Adams frowned. A mantis that could fight against ten mantises was still a mantis. ¡°I still have to continue evolving. This time, I¡¯ll just randomly evolve it to C-rank!¡± Adams made up his mind. ¡°System, randomly evolve [Sickle] to C-rank!¡± [Ding! Deducting $100,000.] [Ding! The system is currently evolving [Sickle]!] Adams¡¯ heart was filled with anxiety. A whole 100,000 USD! He had to evolve a useful organ! [Ding! Congratulations to host, evolution successful!] [Ding! [Sickle] C-Grade evolution successful, evolution [Organ-Hand Knife]!] ¡°Hand knife?!¡± ¡°Nice!¡± Adams was so excited that he almost jumped up. Evolving a hand knife was undoubtedly the best result for him! The excited Adams directly wanted to test the power of the hand knife in Sickle¡¯s hand. ¡°What should I test it on?¡± Adams looked around, trying to find something that could test the power of the scythe. He happened to see a broom placed at the door, so he excitedly took it over and was about to test it. ¡°Sickle, attack it!¡± Adams placed the broom in front of the table and gave the order. Sickle bounced up from the table, and the two long knives in its hands were aimed at the broom rod. ¡°Swish!¡± Two cold lights flashed, and Sickle had already landed on the table. Adams looked at the broomstick that was completely fine and asked, ¡°Why aren¡¯t there any changes?¡± At this moment. Clang¡ The broomstick broke into three pieces and fell to the ground. ¡°F*ck!¡± Adams couldn¡¯t help but exclaim. One had to know that although this broom pole was only made of wood, not iron, this kind of wood was extremely hard. It was the kind that could break a person¡¯s head and cause blood to flow. But he did not expect that Sickle only used one attack, and it was cut into three pieces! If this was to cut a person¡¯s neck¡ It would definitely result in blood splattering and broken bones! Looking at the cut on the broomstick, it was extremely smooth, showing how sharp the pair of hand knives in the Sickle¡¯s hands were! ¡°Sickle has evolved this hand knife. My attack power has greatly increased!¡± Adams¡¯ eyes were shining with excitement. ¡°There¡¯s still one more D-rank random evolution¡¡± Adams looked at Black Feather who was still standing at the side. He felt that the Sickle had evolved enough, so he decided to give this last chance to Black Feather. ¡°System, D-rank random evolution of Black Feather!¡± [Ding! Deducting $10,000.] [Ding! System is evolving [Black Feather]!] [Ding! Congratulations host, evolution successful!] [Ding! [Black Feather] D-rank evolution successful, evolution [Organ-Claw]!] ¡°Claw?¡± Adams immediately began experimenting with Black Feather, letting it show the results of the evolution. Black Feather grabbed Adams¡¯ phone and tapped it a few times with its claws before turning on the camera on Adams¡¯ phone. Then, it aimed the camera at Adams with one claw and pressed the shutter button with the other. It took an extremely handsome photo of Adams. The image was extremely clear and did not shake at all. ¡°Taking a photo?¡± Adams lit up a cigarette and muttered, ¡°Evolving intelligence, learning to speak like humans, flexible claws¡¡± His eyes sparkled as if he had found a specific use for Black Feather. Chapter 35 Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL Adams turned on his computer and logged into the Dark Net. He clicked open his personal interface. According to the rules, if he wanted to advance from 1-star to 2-star, he would need to complete a 2-star mission. Or two 1-star missions. Adams raised his eyebrows and looked at the time. It was already past eight o¡¯clock in the evening. It was almost nine o¡¯clock. ¡®Perhaps I can complete one or two missions tonight.¡¯ As Adams was thinking, he opened the reward page of the Dark Net. He did not plan to rest tonight because there were too many places to spend money. The few small evolutions just now had cost him 150,000 USD. He only had 30,000 USD left now. How could he live like this? If he wanted to live a good life, he could only work hard to earn money! He chose America for the region, and he chose Z-City and the two or three surrounding cities. Immediately, a few missions popped up. [2-Star Bounty: Company Executives] Reward: 150,000 USD [2-Star Bounty: Real Estate Developer] Reward: 180,000 USD [2-Star Bounty: Rich Second Generation] Reward: 170,000 USD [1-Star Bounty: Taxi Driver] Reward: 80,000 USD [1-Star Bounty: Police] Reward: 100,000 USD ¡ Adams¡¯ eyes sparkled as he carefully compared these missions. ¡°There¡¯s not much time tonight. Let¡¯s take on two missions first.¡± As Adams spoke, he clicked the mouse and accepted two missions: [2-Star Bounty: Rich Second Generation] Reward: 170,000 USD [2-Star Bounty: Real Estate Developer] Reward: 180,000 USD [Are you sure you want to accept these two missions?] An inquiry dialog box popped up on the screen. ¡°Yes.¡± Adams did not hesitate at all. Right now, these two missions were the most expensive he could accept. What else could he do if he was not sure? As long as he could complete these two missions, his level would be upgraded to a 2-star assassin. At that time, he would be able to accept 3-star missions! One must know that the reward for a 1-star mission was between 10,000 to 100,000 USD. The reward for a 2-star mission was between 100,000 to 200,000 USD. As for a 3-star mission, it was directly upgraded to a maximum of 500,000 USD! As long as he completed one 3-star mission, he would be able to buy a small apartment in Z-City. Adams¡¯ eyes were filled with anticipation. ¡ While Adams was taking over these two missions at once, the one in charge of the Dark Net branches in Z-City and a few nearby cities¡ ¡°Boss! Boss! He took on another mission!¡± Gardner pointed at the computer screen and shouted. ¡°Gardner, how many times have I told you? What we need the most in this line of work is calmness.¡± The bald man¡¯s voice came from outside the door, and at the same time, the aroma of coffee wafted in. ¡°It¡¯s the one from last time! The one last time, with the SSS mission evaluation, the guy with the 7-star hidden rating!¡± Gardner¡¯s tone was anxious, and he hurriedly explained to the bald man. ¡°F*ck! Did he accept another mission?!¡± The bald man hurriedly ran in from outside, not caring about the coffee in his hand that spilled all over his hand. ¡°Let me take a look too!¡± ¡°Aiyo, don¡¯t squeeze me!¡± Instantly, four to five people gathered in front of Gardner¡¯s small work station to watch. ¡°F*ck, he directly accepted two 2-star missions!¡± ¡°And did you see that? Those two 2-star missions are the two with the highest rewards near his location!¡± ¡°Did he not consider the difficulty of the missions at all?!¡± ¡°Absolutely! He is definitely an expert!¡± ¡°A disciple of those super-assassins, or perhaps¡¡± ¡°Or perhaps it¡¯s just as the boss said, he is a 9-star assassin himself! He really wants to break into the ranks of legendary assassins, so he created a new account and started all over again!¡± His colleagues were discussing animatedly, and Gardner only felt that his face was sprayed with a lot of saliva. ¡°Calm down, we can¡¯t make a conclusion yet.¡± The bald man slightly calmed his mind and continued: ¡°The truth of the matter hasn¡¯t been determined yet. It¡¯s also possible that the mission he completed last time with the SSS rating was coincidentally completed.¡± ¡°Then his confidence exploded, and he directly accepted two more missions that he could currently accept, missions with the highest bounty.¡± ¡°But in reality, his strength might not be as terrifying as we imagined.¡± The bald man drank a cup of coffee and made a conclusion to this matter: ¡°Everything can only be concluded after he completes this mission.¡± ¡°Whether he is a lucky rookie, a genius rookie in the world of assassins, or a 9-star super-assassin, we will know after these two 2-star missions are completed¡¡± ¡ [Target: Godard Walker] [Age: 22 years old] [Identity: Y-City¡¯s wealthy family, the youngest child of the Walker family, deeply loved by his parents.] [Risk: This person is the youngest child of the Walker family, so he receives the attention of his elders and parents. Every time he goes out, he is protected by a few bodyguards, and there are even retired special forces soldiers. Please be careful.] [Reference: Because this person is doted on by the elders of the family, he has an arrogant personality. He likes to play around. He especially likes to drive a sports car on the street to shake off the bodyguards and race, or participate in various queues. The assassins who accept this mission can use this opportunity to kill the mission target.] Adams looked at the details of the mission target sent to him by the Dark Net. He had a rough plan in mind. ¡°Let¡¯s go.¡± Adams took out the venom from the Spectacles and stored it in a glass test tube. Then, he took out a small box, put the Black Feather, Sickle, and Bumblebee in it, and walked out of the house. As for the Spectacles, it was not of much help to the mission, so he left it at home to look after the house. ¡®Hopefully, there won¡¯t be any stupid thieves stealing from my house, or else¡¡¯ Adams prayed silently in his heart. Chapter 36 - Getting Into a Hotel Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL The assassination attempt on Joseph had caused quite a stir in Z-City, and many people were afraid to go out on the streets. However, after a few days, the impact of the incident began to diminish. People still ate and played whenever they could, and there were still many people on the streets at nine o¡¯clock. But Adams felt that he had to be careful. Otherwise, he would be easily noticed. After all, there were so many cameras. Once the police found out, although he had the super ability to evolve animals, he had yet to build a large army. A bee, a mantis, a crow, and a cobra. If these four guys wanted to go against a huge state machine, they would be dreaming. Therefore, before he was absolutely powerful, it was better to keep a low profile. However, even if he kept a low profile, he still had to maintain his efficiency. Adams planned to form a small animal team in a short period of time. Adams had also thought that he didn¡¯t need to go to school at all. After all, he wouldn¡¯t be able to learn anything and would waste his time on missions. But after thinking about it, he decided that it would be interesting to go to school. He didn¡¯t need to go to school to learn anything, but his identity as a student would help him a lot. After all, no one would associate the image of a cold-blooded murderer with that of an ignorant college student. Moreover, Adams¡¯ image in school was that of a kind, sunny, and compassionate person. This was his best cover and disguise. Back to the current Adams. His current target was the rich kid who had just accepted the mission. This rich kid was in Y-City next door, so Adams had to run from Z-City to Y-City to complete the mission. But as mentioned earlier, Adams needed to keep a low profile. If he took public transportation and ran directly from Z-City to Y-City, he would leave a lot of traces and evidence. He still had to move around the location of the mission target. When the police investigated, they would accidentally find him and find out that he had taken a public transportation to the vicinity of the target on the night of the murder, then the target would die. As long as the police were not idiots, they would immediately list themselves as the main suspects. Therefore, Adams could not directly take public transport to Y-City. Adams lit up a cigarette and pondered for a while on the roadside with the box containing the killer team. But soon, he thought of a way. If he couldn¡¯t use public transportation, why not use a black car? Black car drivers drove for money. It didn¡¯t matter where they went or what they did. If they saw the police, they would run. Why would they cooperate with the police? With that in mind, Adams quickly took action. He took a taxi to a nearby location where he could use a black car. Then, Adams walked for a while and arrived at his destination. After waiting for a while, a black car soon arrived. The black car drove to Adams¡¯ side, honked twice, rolled down the window, and revealed the face of a bearded middle-aged man. ¡°Hey, young man, do you want to take a ride?¡± ¡°Of course.¡± Adams shrugged, opened the door, and got into the car. ¡°Where are you going?¡± ¡°Y-City. I¡¯m going to play with my friends.¡± The conversation was short. Adams was not a talkative person, and the bearded man saw that Adams did not like to talk, so he shut his mouth and drove in peace. He drove a black car to earn money. After playing more than a dozen country songs on the car, Adams arrived at his destination. According to the information provided by the Dark Net, Adams learned that this rich kid named Godard Walker had booked a room in the most luxurious hotel in the city center today. The room number was also checked out. It was a luxury suite on the 28th floor. After learning this information, Adams did not waste any time. He immediately headed to the vicinity of the hotel. He grabbed a cab and headed downstairs. But when he arrived, he didn¡¯t go in. He didn¡¯t even enter the front door. He let Bumblebee out of the box. Then he let it follow the other guests into the hotel. Bumblebee attached itself to the guests¡¯ clothes and entered the lobby. Adams directed Bumblebee to enter the elevator, planning to let it directly take the elevator to the 28th floor. Bumblebee flew to the top of the elevator, grabbed a sign with its claws, and stopped there, waiting for the destination to arrive. Unfortunately, after staying in the elevator for several minutes, it did not stop near the 28th floor. Finally, a person came out of the elevator on the 25th floor. Adams did not care so much and directly let Bumblebee out of the elevator. Buzz, buzz¨C The sound of Bumblebee¡¯s flight attracted the attention of the guests in the elevator. ¡°What¡¯s going on? Why are there flies in the hotel?¡± ¡°I think it¡¯s bees, not flies.¡± ¡°You¡¯re such an idiot. Of course it¡¯s flies in the hotel. When have you ever seen bees in the hotel?¡± ¡°Maybe you¡¯re right.¡± ¡ While the two were arguing in the elevator, Bumblebee flew further and further away and went straight to the stairs. ¡°It¡¯s the 25th floor now, three floors away from the target¡¯s 28th floor.¡± ¡°Fly up, Bumblebee.¡± Adams was sitting on a bench outside the hotel. He was smoking as he gave orders to Bumblebee. Chapter 37 - Dream Party Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL Less than a minute later, Bumblebee flew out of the stairs and appeared in the corridor on the 28th floor. When Bumblebee entered the 28th floor, Adams took out a virtual phone card that he had prepared beforehand and put it into his cell phone. Then, he dialed the number of the hotel¡¯s front desk ¡ª This was what he had found on the internet. The call was quickly picked up, and a gentle female voice came through. ¡°Hello, this is Pearl International Hotel.¡± After hearing the female voice, Adams began to pretend to be the rich second generation. He said lazily to the person on the phone, ¡°Hello, I¡¯m a guest of 2808. Help me bring some water up. I¡¯m too thirsty.¡± ¡°Okay, we¡¯ll immediately arrange for the staff to bring you some water.¡± The girl at the front desk didn¡¯t have any doubts and answered seriously, because no matter who was able to stay in such a luxurious suite, none of them were someone she could afford to offend. After hanging up the phone, she used the walkie-talkie and the hotel staff to say, ¡°Logistics, logistics, please send some drinks to the guest of 2808 on the 28th floor. There must be a variety of drinks.¡± ¡°Roger.¡± A reply came through the walkie-talkie. After completing these actions, Adams switched back to Bumblebee¡¯s perspective. In less than three minutes, the waiter pushed a cart filled with all kinds of drinks out of the elevator. She first pressed the doorbell, but no one replied. Then, she knocked on the door and asked politely, ¡°Hello, I¡¯m from the hotel service. The drinks you ordered have arrived. Is anyone there?¡± Half a minute later, the door finally opened. Adams didn¡¯t care about anything else. He directly ordered Bumblebee to fly into the room from afar. After Bumblebee flew into the room from above their heads, Adams realized that something was strange. Because the person who opened the door wasn¡¯t the rich kid who was the target of the mission. Instead, it was a sexy girl with a hot body and a bathrobe. ¡°What¡¯s wrong with you? Why are you knocking on the door?¡± The sexy girl looked a little sleepy, as if she had just been woken up from her sleep. There was some anger in her tone. ¡°I¡¯m sorry, it was the hotel service that you guys called. They said there were no more drinks.¡± The staff did not know what had happened. The other party was the one who ordered the drinks, but now that they had delivered it, why did they still scold him? ¡°Who ordered the drink? I was sleeping just now!¡± Perhaps it was because she had been woken up, the sexy girl appeared to be a little angry. ¡°That might be what your partner wanted.¡± The staff member was sure that he had not entered the wrong room and still spoke in a good-natured manner. After hearing the staff member¡¯s reply, the sexy girl turned around to check her room. After confirming that she was alone, she quickly said, ¡°Are you crazy? I¡¯m the only one in the room right now.¡± ¡°Forget it. I¡¯m too lazy to argue with you. Bring the drinks in. Don¡¯t bother me sleeping anymore!¡± The sexy girl didn¡¯t think too much. After the staff member brought the drinks into the room, she closed the door behind her. She wondered if some idiot had said the wrong room number, or if Godard Walker was joking with her. Adams, who was downstairs, could not help but frown when he saw this scene through Bumblebee. ¡°Godard Walker is not in the room. Could there be a mistake in the information?¡± He was puzzled, but everything that Bumblebee saw was still transmitted to Adams¡¯ eyes. After the sexy girl closed the door, she flung her bathrobe and jumped onto the bed in the room, lying comfortably on it and continuing to sleep. Beside the bed, there were many pieces of toilet paper piled up under the bed. The sheets on the bed were also in a mess. It was as though they had just gone through a huge battle. ¡°Her figure is not bad.¡± Adams raised his eyebrows. This girl was not wearing anything under the bathrobe, but he could see everything through Bumblebee. ¡°Her breasts are quite big and her hair is shaved. Based on her standard figure, she should be around 7 to 8 points.¡± Adams silently gave the girl on the bed a score in his heart. ¡°It¡¯s just that her face isn¡¯t that good. She¡¯s not my type.¡± ¡°Based on the overall evaluation, she should have a score of 6.5 to 7.¡± ¡°She¡¯s far from Jessica.¡± Adams gave his final evaluation of the girl. Jessica was even prettier than some movie stars. In Adams¡¯ heart, she was at least an 8. But now was not the time to admire girls. The most important thing now was to figure out the target of the mission. Where did the rich second generation Godard Walker go? Just as Adams was frowning and thinking, he could not think of anything. ¡°Ring, ring, ring¡¡± The girl¡¯s cell phone suddenly rang. ¡°F*ck! Are you going to let me sleep?!¡± The girl looked at the number and chose to pick up the call. Then, she asked weakly, ¡°What¡¯s wrong? I¡¯m still sleeping¡¡± As the girl¡¯s weak voice fell, the voice on the other end of the phone sounded very passionate. ¡°You¡¯re still sleeping?!¡± ¡°Do you know that the dream party is about to start?!¡± ¡°When the time comes, only the prettier girls in the city will come. Aren¡¯t you going to get ready now?¡± ¡°Most of the people there are rich young masters. As long as someone takes you out tonight, you will make a fortune! Seize the opportunity!¡± ¡°Don¡¯t say that your sisters didn¡¯t warn you. Come quickly!¡± Chapter 38 - The Problem of Sneaking Into the Villa Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL ¡°F*ck! Why didn¡¯t anyone inform me?!¡± The naked girl sitting on the bed sat up, her tone panicked and angry. ¡°That Godard Walker who asked you out today is already at the party. Why didn¡¯t he call you?!¡± ¡°F*ck! Stop it! That guy even called two people to play today! I¡¯m serving three people by myself!¡± ¡°That¡¯s why I¡¯m so tired. I fell asleep in the hotel!¡± ¡°And that bastard only gave me a portion of the money. What a f*cking bastard!¡± It would have been fine if they didn¡¯t mention the second-generation rich kid. But the moment they mentioned him, the naked girl on the bed was so angry that she wanted to eat the second-generation rich kid. ¡°My heart aches for you, my sister.¡± ¡°But now is not the time to talk about this. Hurry up and put on some makeup. The party is about to start!¡± ¡°The venue is Hilton Villa, don¡¯t forget it!¡± With that, the other party hung up as if they were busy preparing themselves. ¡°F*ck! F*ck!¡± The naked girl jumped down from the bed and hurriedly searched for her clothes. She then ran to the bathroom to put on some makeup, intending to become the most eye-catching woman of the night. This way, she would be able to hook more guys and earn more money! At the same time, Adams, who was downstairs, heard the news and understood that he had missed everything. The target, Godard Walker, had already gone to the Dream Party that night. After confirming the location of Godard Walker, Adams immediately began to search for the details of the Hilton Villa. According to the information on the Internet, the Hilton Villa was a wealthy district in Y-City. It was full of single-family villas, and the prices were frighteningly expensive. After seeing the exact price of the villas, even Adams couldn¡¯t help but sigh. Even if he completed fifty 2-star missions, he probably wouldn¡¯t be able to buy a villa there. A hundred might be enough. However, if he completed an 8-star mission, it would be enough. The reward for an 8-star mission was between ten to fifty million dollars. Adams¡¯ eyes flashed with a fiery light. He still had to quickly increase his strength and raise his killer star rating! After lamenting about the housing prices, Adams began to search for information about the Dream Party that night. In this internet era, almost any information could be found online. Moreover, for such a large party, there would definitely be information online. Sure enough, after searching for a while, Adams found information about the party. This so-called Dream Party was proposed by some of the sons of the families or wealthy businessmen in Y-City. It was to exchange contacts and have fun. They would hold it every once in a while. Every time they held it, they would invite the well-known second-generation rich and second-generation officials from Y-City. The men were basically invited by the authorities, while the women signed up online themselves. They sent their photos to the censors, and if they were satisfied, they would request a video call with the girls. They made sure that they were not ¡®beauties¡¯ beautified by photoshop and filters. This way, they could ensure that every girl who entered the party was beautiful to the greatest extent possible. At the same time, when the party registration event was held, the officials will implicitly say that the party is crazy. If you can¡¯t accept it, don¡¯t attend it. But if you attend it and encounter some inevitable things, such as being taken advantage of, touching the body, and so on, these were reasonable and normal. As for further development, it depended on each other¡¯s wishes ¡ª to put it bluntly, it was to talk about the price. If the price was satisfactory, then we could make friends together. If the price was not satisfactory, we could tactfully refuse. Although the authorities do not have a mandatory requirement to have a relationship, but it was also implicit in the expression. If you do not accept in-depth understanding, then you had better not come. Everyone was out to play. Those pretending to be innocent can get lost. Under these conditions, those second-generation rich and second-generation officials enthusiastically signed up. After all, the organizers had already done it for you. You just needed to play. If you see a girl you like, just take her away, then you only need to pay a fee to her. As for the girls, of course, there were quite a lot signed up. The girls who couldn¡¯t accept the rules chose to leave, and those who could accept the rules were naturally not pure and good girls. They signed up for this party so that they could hook up with a rich man and spend a lot of money on them. It was best if they could start dating directly, and they could marry into a rich family, achieving a leap from a commoner girl to a rich lady. After all, they were all going to have sex with men and sell their bodies. Sleeping with rich men was better than sleeping with poor boys who had no money. Even if it was for sale, they had to try their best to get a good price. That was their point of view. Adams swiped the phone screen and got all the information about the party. ¡°Looks like I have to go to this Dream Party tonight.¡± Adams threw the half-burned cigarette butt in his hand to the side of the road and walked from the entrance of the hotel to the road. He hailed a taxi and headed for the hill. Twenty minutes later, the taxi arrived at the hill where the hill was located. Luxury cars were coming and going, and there was registration staff at the gate of the hill. Everyone who entered or left the hill had to register their identity there. Adams frowned. This wasn¡¯t good for him. He had to keep his identity a secret for safekeeping. How did he get in? Adams lit up a cigarette. He was lost in thought. Chapter 39 - A Brilliant Plan to Sneak Into the Party! Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL After smoking a cigarette, Adams found the easiest way to sneak into the party. He walked straight in. He stood up and walked toward one of the two registration points at the entrance of the villa. Just as he reached the entrance of the registration point, a staff member in charge of registration asked politely, ¡°May I ask who you are?¡± Adams smiled and put on a fawning look. ¡°Hello, may I ask if this is the registration point for the Party?¡± With this question, the staff member in charge of registration could not help but look down on Adams. Those young masters from rich families directly drove their luxury cars over. Even registering their identities was extremely arrogant. Why would they show such a humble look? It was as if they had a favor to ask from a small staff member like him. But thinking of it this way, the good professionalism of the staff member still made him answer politely. ¡°Yes, do you have a registration?¡± ¡°Hehe.¡± Adams put on a simple and honest look and said with a smile, ¡°Brother, I heard that this is the venue of the biggest party in Y-City. The people in this party are all well-known and prominent young masters.¡± ¡°So I want to go in and make a few friends to expand my network.¡± ¡°I¡¯m a very loyal person. I¡¯m willing to spend money on my friends.¡± ¡°If a friend is willing to help me, I will definitely not mistreat my friends.¡± Adams¡¯ words were a little obscure, but the meaning behind his words was understood by smart people. As long as you let me in, I¡¯ll give you some benefits! It could be considered a blatant bribe. As expected, after he finished speaking, the eyes of the staff member who didn¡¯t want to pay much attention to Adams lit up. Since there were benefits, it would be different! The staff member deliberately asked, ¡°Then, may I know how much money you¡¯re willing to spend on your friend?¡± Adams smiled. ¡°That will depend on my friend¡¯s needs.¡± The staff looked around when they heard Adams. It was already very late, and there were basically no people who had come to register, so no one noticed him. Then, they looked at Adams. He was a very handsome young man. Moreover, his smile was filled with friendliness and did not seem to be harmful to anyone. Looking at his attitude toward himself, he seemed to be very polite, but he also seemed to be a little timid. He didn¡¯t seem like a bad person at all. Moreover, there were many security guards and bodyguards at the party, and there were cameras everywhere. What could an ordinary young man do? Thinking of this, he became bolder and secretly extended a finger from below. At this point, Adams understood what he meant and immediately took out his phone to transfer the money to him. However, this staff member was also more shrewd. He did not let Adams transfer the money to his bank account. Instead, he transferred it to an unfamiliar account. Adams did not care because his bank card was created by the system. No one could trace it and it was much more secretive than this staff member¡¯s account. He transferred 10,000 dollars directly. The staff member¡¯s eyes widened when he saw the amount. He had only wanted 1,000 dollars, but Adams had transferred 10,000 dollars to him! He didn¡¯t expect him to be so rich! The staff member felt more at ease with Adams when he saw the transfer records. Someone who could transfer 10,000 dollars to him wouldn¡¯t be short of money. Since they were not short of money, they should really be here to make more friends and expand their network. Thinking of this, the staff¡¯s attitude towards Adams became much better. They even kindly gave Adams a few pieces of advice. ¡°Brother, you¡¯d better keep a low profile inside. Don¡¯t cause any trouble.¡± ¡°As for the girls, you¡¯d better not have any thoughts about it.¡± ¡°If you want to sleep with them, the authorities will definitely notice you.¡± ¡°Because they will take a cut of the money you give to the girls. They also want to get back their money for hosting this party.¡± ¡°So, as long as you don¡¯t talk to the girls after you go in and only get to know those famous people, no one will notice you. Do you understand?¡± Adams nodded and smiled. ¡°Don¡¯t worry, Buddy. I just want to make friends and expand my network.¡± ¡°As for women, I have no intentions at all.¡± After receiving Adams¡¯ guarantee, the staff member opened the door and let Adams in. The moment Adams walked into the manor, the sunny smile on his face instantly disappeared. His smile was replaced by a calm expression. It was as if Adams was a completely different person from him. Black Feather flew away from the camera in the registration area and hovered above Adams. Black Feather had blocked the camera that could capture Adams. Walking on the road, Adams began to recall all the details. Before he went to the registration office, he had ordered Black Feather to block the camera. So, from the record on the camera, there was no way to find out that he had entered the party. After he had killed someone, even if the police went to check the camera, during this time, all they could see was a black thing blocking the camera. There was no evidence. Black Feathers, Bumblebee, and Sickle hovered above Adams. Whenever Adams walked past a place with a camera, they would fly in front of the camera and cover everything up. Adams calmly walked along this short path. Not a single camera could record his figure! All they could record was a black shadow! As for the staff member who knew about it? He could just kill him on the way out. Adams lit up a cigarette as he walked along the path. A smile appeared on his face. Chapter 40 - The Mystery Woman Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL The party was huge. Adams entered the building, and he saw a huge pool. Men and women in swimsuits played in and out of the pool. Tables lined the outside of the pool with assorted delicacies, desserts, and champagne. A makeshift DJ booth sat on one side of the pool. The blare of electricity went on and on, as if to tell everyone that it was a sleepless night. Adams didn¡¯t want to stand out, so he joined the crowd. He sat down at an empty table and brought himself two cupcakes and a glass of champagne. He began to enjoy the party. Yes, he enjoyed it. There were a lot of people at the party. Most of them wore swimsuits and exposed their bodies. The ratio between men and women was terrifying. It was 3:7. Three boys to seven girls. And none of these girls were older than 25. Every girl had a good figure and was full of youthful charm. Not a single one of them was ugly. He had never seen a party like this in his life. He couldn¡¯t help but glance at it. But while he admired it, Adams hadn¡¯t forgotten about his mission. As he looked around, the images of the Bumblebee, Black Feather, and Sickle appeared in his head. They were searching for Godard, the target of the mission. Six minutes later, Adams found himself in a corner chair. Godard had struck up a conversation with a girl. She was about eighteen years old, and she was leaning against Godard, playing a game on her cell phone. Godard¡¯s hands were touching the girl¡¯s body, from her chest to her thighs, then to her ankles. Not only did the girl not resist at all, but she was also very cooperative. Her eyes were filled with a seductive light. If nothing unexpected happened, she would have caught a big fish tonight. According to the information that she had read before, the guy in front of her was Godard Walker, the youngest successor of the Walker family. He was deeply doted on by the elders of the family! As long as she could establish a relationship with him tonight, she would have a lot of money to spend in the future! When the girl thought of this, a smile appeared on her face and she began to cooperate with Godard¡¯s actions even more. When he saw this, Adams knew that an opportunity would appear very soon. Without even thinking, this guy would definitely bring this girl to the lounge to rest for a while. Of course, the lounges here weren¡¯t really meant for you to rest. Seeing that he had found his target, Adams turned his attention to Black Feather and Sickle. He asked them to keep an eye on him and report to him directly. Black Feather, who had evolved his intelligence, could understand such a small matter. Adams picked up a piece of cake and put it into his mouth. It tasted pretty good. After all, the chef hired for this Dream Party was definitely one of the best in Y-City. Taking another sip of champagne, Adams admired the hot women dancing in their bathing suits on the stage. While waiting for the chance to kill Godard Walker. But, uh¡ Not long after Adams had watched the dance¡ Suddenly a girl came in from outside the party. The girl was tall, about 1.7 meters. Hot body, at least a ¡®D¡¯ in the chest. Her long, slim legs were connected to her perfect buttocks. Her upper body had a small black vest that revealed half of her sexy chest. Her lower body was wearing a pair of red high heels, black stockings, and a miniskirt. Her long hair that was draped over her shoulders was unkempt and fell down casually. Regardless of her looks or figure, she was definitely a top-notch beauty! At first glance, one would think that an A-list movie star had come to film here! When the men at the party saw this beauty, their eyes lit up and they became interested in her. As rich people, they were already tired of playing with ordinary girls even if they were good-looking girls. After all, they drove a million-dollar luxury car every day and were popular with the girls wherever they went. After the girls got in the car, they began to feel hot and took off their clothes. It was only seven o¡¯clock, and they already said that it was too late to go home. But even with their wealth and status, they had never played with such a beautiful woman! Therefore, under such circumstances, these men immediately abandoned the girls they had already hooked up with. Instead, they started to run to the side of this great beauty and started to strike up a conversation. ¡°Hey, Beauty, are you alone?¡± ¡°Miss, do you want to have a drink with me?¡± ¡°My dear miss, I wonder if we¡¯ve met somewhere before?¡± In just a short while, more than ten men had blocked the way of the beautiful lady. The men who were unable to squeeze in front of her were secretly regretting. Why was it that they were a step too late and let others take the lead?! When most of the women present saw this scene, they were so angry that they wanted to hit someone. Especially when they saw the man who was chatting happily with them abandon them and run to the woman to court her. They became even angrier. The dollar bills that they obtained flew away just like that, all flying to the side of this little bitch! There were countless curses in their mouths, and they wanted to curse at the great beauty who suddenly appeared. But under this situation, they didn¡¯t dare to make a sound. It was better to endure it first. After all, this great beauty was only one person. She could only serve three or four people at most, or seven or eight people. She couldn¡¯t possibly steal all the men at the party tonight, right? The hearts of the girls thought malignantly. Chapter 41 - The Fight For the Girl Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL Adams. When he saw the girl, he couldn¡¯t help but look at her. Men must¡¯ve looked up when they saw her, and Adams had no problem with that. But after a while, he stopped looking at her. Instead, he turned his attention to the subject: Godard. He was here on a mission, not to see a beauty. When you have money, you could find any kind of beauty. But at this time, Black Feather, who was watching the party from a branch, began to stare at the beauty. Black Feather looked at her, of course, not because the beauty was beautiful. Birds like crows were born with a keen sense of danger. Under normal circumstances, they would sense danger at the first moment. Especially Black Feather, whose color and genes were not pure. After it was born, it was bullied and abandoned by crows of the same race. There were two reasons why it could live to this day: First, Black Feather was ruthless, and its mouth was very vicious when it snatched food. Second, it had a stronger sense of danger than crows of the same race! In addition, Adams had previously performed a D-rank brain evolution on it, causing its ability to sense danger to become even stronger. Therefore, under such circumstances, when Black Feather saw this beauty, it gradually felt a sense of danger. It was as if this great beauty was an extremely dangerous person! Black Feather kept sending out telepathic messages to Adams, reminding him to be careful of this woman. ¡°Is it very dangerous?¡± After Adams received the message from Black Feather, his gaze towards the great beauty became solemn. ¡°Looks like I have to be careful.¡± Adams knew that the beautiful woman was dangerous because of Black Feather. However, none of the men present knew. There were still many men who approached the beautiful woman in an attempt to speak to her. Furthermore, they would invite her into their room tonight. At the same time. The target, Godard Walker, who was flirting with a girl, couldn¡¯t help but look over when he saw many men forming a circle. Through a small gap, he could vaguely see the beauty surrounded by everyone in the crowd. As soon as he saw this beauty, Godard Walker instantly felt that the girl in his arms had become ordinary. He instantly got up, randomly found a reason to make the girl leave, and then quickly walked into the crowd. ¡°Get out of the way, get out of the way!¡± Godard Walker did not care about offending people. He directly pushed the people around him aside and squeezed into the innermost area. ¡°Hey Walker, do you not know how to walk when you see a woman?¡± ¡°Didn¡¯t you just carry a girl? Why are you here to snatch her from your brothers now?¡± A rich second-generation son asked with a displeased expression when he saw Godard Walker squeezing in. ¡°Who the f*ck made it a rule that you can only know one girl?¡± When Godard saw that everyone was displeased, he did not panic and directly said something to shut them up. When he saw Godard¡¯s attitude, someone immediately said, ¡°Walker, let me tell you, I met this beauty first. Don¡¯t try to snatch her away from me!¡± ¡°What do you mean you met her first? What does it have to do with me that you met her first?¡± ¡°How about this, let¡¯s not quarrel here. The beauty is just standing here, and all the choices are in her hands.¡± ¡°She can play with whoever she wants, and talk to anyone!¡± Godard Walker shouted loudly. He was the youngest heir of the Walker family, and was used to being arrogant. He didn¡¯t give these people any face at all. He had to get this beauty tonight! After saying those words, Godard Walker continued to add: ¡°Beauty, don¡¯t be afraid. I don¡¯t have any ill intentions. I just want to be friends with you.¡± ¡°I know that you came here for money. I don¡¯t have much, I just have a lot of money!¡± The crowd was in an uproar when Godard Walker finished his sentence. ¡°Walker, you¡¯re not following the rules!¡± ¡°We know you¡¯re rich, but you can¡¯t do this!¡± ¡°Are you still following the rules of the party? You¡¯re setting a price?!¡± Among all the people present, Godard Walker was the most doted on by his family. Therefore, he had the most funds at his disposal. It was not that his family was the richest here, but that his father only had him when he was in his forties. And in this generation of his family, he was the only heir. Under such circumstances, the elders in the family all doted on him endlessly. They gave him whatever he wanted. Even people in the circle knew that when Walker was fifteen, he drove a car on the road and directly killed a person. After his father spent a lot of money to solve this problem, he only said a few words to Walker, telling him not to drive so fast in the future. After all, if he killed someone, his family would have money to pay for it. But if he injured himself, it would not be good. From this, one could see how much the family doted on Walker. Therefore, if it was a matter of money, no one would be able to compete with him. Moreover, even though this great beauty was very beautiful. If they were to spend 100,000 or 200,000 on her, all the second-generation rich people present would be willing. But what about 300,000, 400,000, 500,000, or 600,000? There would definitely not be many people who would be willing. After all, in their family, there were still brothers and sisters who came to compete. Spending so much money just to play with a woman, if this matter was found out by the elders, their evaluation of themselves would be lowered, and the amount of inheritance they could inherit would be reduced. That would definitely be a huge loss! Chapter 42 - A Beauty Who Steals Business! Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL Godard Walker did not have any concerns in this aspect. Because he was the only heir in the family, no one could compete with him. All the money in the family would be his in the future, and he could spend as much as he wanted. Under such circumstances, if it was a competition of financial resources, there was almost no one present who could compete with him. Let¡¯s talk about that beauty again. When she heard Godard Walker¡¯s words, her expression started to become conflicted. She seemed to hesitate for a few moments, but in the end, she still slowly walked to Godard Walker¡¯s side. This way, everyone knew that they had no chance at all. Even if they had a chance, they would have to wait for Godard Walker to finish first. More than half of the people on the field immediately left. And looking at Godard Walker¡¯s expression, he seemed extremely pleased with himself. After getting the limelight and getting a beauty, there was nothing more satisfying than this. ¡°I, I don¡¯t like to be too lively¡¡± At the same time, this great beauty appeared a little shy and demure as she whispered to Godard Walker. Hearing the great beauty¡¯s words, Godard Walker became even more excited. Many fun ways appeared in his mind. ¡°Yeah, I don¡¯t like such a noisy place either.¡± Godard Walker nodded, looking like a gentleman. ¡°How about this? I¡¯ll bring you to my exclusive lounge. We¡¯ll go there to rest first.¡± Godard Walker did not choose to bring her directly out of the party. After all, that would take too long. And he was already unable to hold it in any longer. ¡°Okay.¡± The great beauty heard Godard Walker¡¯s words and nodded obediently. She was like a lamb that only knew how to obey. ¡°Follow me.¡± The smile on Godard Walker¡¯s face never disappeared. He brought the beautiful lady to his own private lounge. ¡°F*ck!¡± ¡°I won¡¯t let that bastard Walker participate next time!¡± ¡°This idiot, sooner or later, he will lose all his assets!¡± ¡°What a pity!¡± Seeing Godard Walker leaving with the beautiful lady, people did not need to think to know what they were going to do. They felt even more upset and began to curse. ¡ Adams stood up as Godard and the beautiful woman went to the lounge. He walked closer to Godard¡¯s private lounge and sat down. If he was too far away, he would be slowed down when he gave the order. Adams had noticed this when he was commanding Bumblebee outside the hotel. He couldn¡¯t get too far away from his pet when he was on a mission. Otherwise, he would just sit at home and command his pet to kill. He wouldn¡¯t have to risk exposing himself to go to all sorts of missions. Back to Adams¡¯ team of assassins. Bumblebee and Sickle flew to the window of Godard¡¯s private lounge. Luckily, the window was open, and they flew into the room. Black Feather waited for orders. As Bumblebee and Sickle flew into the room, Adams saw everything. The pretty girl stood by the bed, seemingly afraid to sit down. It was her first time doing something like this. Godard had seen it all before. He instantly knew she was inexperienced and shy. He went to the fridge and found a bottle of red wine and two tall glasses. He poured half a glass in front of the pretty girl. He wanted her to relax a little. Looking at Godard Walker pouring wine, the great beauty suddenly said, ¡°Um¡ How about¡ You go take a shower first?¡± When Godard Walker heard this, he was stunned for a moment, then he revealed a smile. ¡°No problem, my lady.¡± Then, as he took off his clothes, he walked in the direction of the bathroom. He could understand that some girls who just came out to do this kind of thing liked to be clean. After doing it a few more times, there weren¡¯t so many requirements anymore. As Godard Walker took off his clothes, he revealed an evil smile. The sound of water splashing could be heard. Godard Walker didn¡¯t even close the bathroom door. Just as Godard Walker started to take a shower, the originally shy beauty suddenly changed her expression. She looked coldly at the glass that was already filled with wine and took out a capsule medicine from the bag that she carried with her. After opening the capsule skillfully, she sprinkled the medicine powder into Godard¡¯s glass. Then, she sat by the bed and picked up her phone to send a message to someone: ¡°The mission is about to begin. It will be completed in ten minutes!¡± After doing all this, the beauty put down her phone and looked coldly in the direction of the bathroom where Godard Walker was. There were no cameras in this room, so she thought that no one would notice. However, Bumblebee and Sickle, who were lying on the chandelier, saw everything clearly. Along with them was Adams, who was not far away. ¡°What the f*ck?!¡± Adams was shocked. ¡°Stealing business?!¡± ¡°Professional killer?!¡± After seeing all this, Adams knew. This beauty wasn¡¯t a prostitute. She was obviously a beauty killer! Chapter 43 - Brilliant Plan! Kill! Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL This was the first time Adams had encountered such a situation. He didn¡¯t know that in the assassin business, there was actually competition. What Adams didn¡¯t know was that the Dark Net¡¯s goal was very simple. It was to quickly solve the customer¡¯s problems. Because in this way, it could earn more profits. As for how to solve it and who would solve it, the Dark Net would not interfere. In order to quickly complete the mission, the mission was accepted at will. As long as you reached the star level of being able to accept the mission, then no matter how many people had accepted the mission before, you could still accept it. The Dark Net only looked at the results, not how many people who had interfered. Whoever completed the mission first and uploaded the evidence, the reward would be theirs. Therefore, Adams saw that someone had stolen his business. At this point, Adams knew that he had to act early. Otherwise, the reward would be gone. He had worked so hard to get from Z-City to Y-City, from the hotel to the manor. He had paid 10,000 dollars in bribes and put in so much effort. If he failed this mission, Adams thought that he would be very angry. But in the current situation, as long as nothing unexpected happened, Godard would become the fruit of others¡¯ victory in a few minutes. At the thought of this, Adams did not dare to delay. His mind began to think rapidly. In the next second, he logged into the Dark Net directly through the system and began to look for detailed answers to this problem. After quickly looking through the detailed answers to this problem, Adams obtained the answer to his own question. ¡°So when two assassins accept the same mission, whoever kills the person first and takes a photo to upload to the Dark Net will receive the reward for the mission.¡± ¡°If that¡¯s the case, then as long as I make the first move, kill Godard, and upload the photo, the reward for the mission will be mine.¡± ¡°Then, what should I do next?¡± The usage time was getting shorter and shorter. The target, Godard, would be out of the shower soon. If Adams did not make a move soon, it would be too late. Of course, Adams could also choose to kill both of them. That way, there would be no problem. But that was the problem. That beauty was also a professional killer. Her entire body was emitting a dangerous aura. Her strength was definitely not weak! If he chose to kill both of them, he might not be able to finish off that beauty quickly. If he couldn¡¯t kill her instantly and the other side ran away directly, it would cause a huge commotion. Even if he managed to kill Godard, the police and bodyguards would have sealed off the scene by then. As for him, a citizen of Z-City who had infiltrated the city, he would become the main suspect! ¡°Sigh. If she was an ordinary person, it wouldn¡¯t be so troublesome.¡± Adams was a little frustrated and lit a cigarette. He kept thinking, trying to find the best way. ¡°I¡¯ve got it!¡± Adams¡¯ eyes lit up as he thought of a perfect way to break the situation. He first took out his phone and turned on the recording mode. Then, he had Black Feather grab his phone and fly to the bathroom where Godard Walker was. At this moment, Godard Walker¡¯s head was full of bubbles as he comfortably rubbed his scalp. His eyes were closed because he was washing his hair. Black Feather found an angle and fixed the phone. The camera was facing Godard. Godard hadn¡¯t closed the door when he was showering. The door was open. Adams had everything under control. Everything in the bathroom would be recorded by Adams¡¯ phone. After putting the phone away, Adams directed Black Feather to fly out of the window again. Then, he flew directly to the door of the lounge and knocked on the door with his claws. Knock, knock! Knock, knock! At the same time, Black Feather opened his mouth and shouted loudly, ¡°Open the door!¡± ¡°Open the door!¡± ¡°Police inspection!¡± It had to be said that Black Feather learned it very well. He could make his voice sound very low and a little hoarse. At first glance, he sounded like a dignified middle-aged man. His temperament was quite similar to that of a police officer. Just as Black Feather imitated a police officer knocking on the door, the beauty in the room frowned. There was a hint of panic in her eyes. ¡°Why is there a police officer at the party¡¡± Godard Walker¡¯s voice came from the bathroom. ¡°Beauty, go open the door and take a look. I¡¯m still in the shower.¡± ¡°It¡¯s okay, don¡¯t be afraid. My family¡¯s influence is still there. We¡¯re not afraid of the police at all. He can¡¯t do anything to us.¡± Hearing Godard Walker¡¯s words, the beauty on the bed calmed down. She hadn¡¯t done anything yet, so there was no need to be afraid when the police arrived. She stood up and walked towards the door that had been knocked on. ¡°Black Feather, go!¡± Seeing the beauty walk towards the door, Adams quickly gave the order for Black Feather to leave. ¡°Bumblebee, Sickle, attack immediately!¡± At the same time, Adams also gave the order for Bumblebee and Sickle to attack directly. Buzz buzz¨C Buzz buzz¨C Bumblebee and Sickle, who had been hiding on the chandelier for a long time, finally received Adams¡¯ order. They immediately rushed down from the chandelier and flew straight to the bathroom where Godard was. At this time, Godard had just washed off the foam on his body and was starting to put on his bathrobe. When he was putting on his bathrobe, he suddenly heard a buzzing sound. ¡°What¡¯s that sound? It¡¯s buzzing¡¡± Just as he was puzzled, the sound in his ears became louder and louder. Buzz¨C! A black and yellow light passed through, and a tail needle reflecting the black light pierced into Godard Walker¡¯s temple. Swish¨C! Two green lights flashed, and two fine blood lines appeared on Godard Walker¡¯s neck. Dong! The sound of something heavy hitting the ground came from the bathroom. The great beauty who was standing at the door, wondering where the person who knocked on the door had gone suddenly turned her head, her eyes filled with surprise ¡ª She smelled blood! Chapter 44 - Super-Assassin? Beauty is shocked! Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL ¡°What¡¯s going on?!¡± The beauty closed the door and ran to the bathroom. Godard Walker was lying in the bathroom, his bathrobe dyed red. There was a hole in his temple, and there were two fine blood lines on his neck. The beauty squatted down and stretched out her right hand. ¡°He¡¯s not breathing!¡± She first checked his pulse and the tip of his nose, then began to examine the wound on his body. ¡°There¡¯s a bloody hole in his temple. The wound isn¡¯t big, but it¡¯s very deep.¡± ¡°I don¡¯t know how it was caused.¡± ¡°It could be a needle-like weapon¡¡± Then, she started to look at the two bloody marks on Godard Walker¡¯s neck. At this moment, blood was flowing out of it, dyeing the bathroom floor red. ¡°Was it cut by a knife? But the wound is too smooth¡¡± The great beauty placed her hand on Gundam Walker¡¯s neck and used her hand to open Gundam Walker¡¯s wound. Sizzle¨C Just as she opened the wound, several streams of blood spurted out! Caught off guard, the great beauty was directly sprayed with blood all over her face. However, this did not scare her. After a short moment of panic, the great beauty calmed down and began to analyze calmly: ¡°The blood is still warm, which means that the person has just died.¡± Then, she stretched out her hands to open the wound on Godard¡¯s neck. Regardless of the spurting of blood, she began to observe the condition of the wound. ¡°The wound is very deep, reaching the position of the bone.¡± ¡°Even a part of the bone has been broken.¡± Looking at the blood vessels and trachea that were completely exposed in front of her, although the great beauty¡¯s expression was a little ugly, she didn¡¯t vomit like an ordinary woman. It was as if she was already used to this scene. Bright red blood slid down her beautiful face, adding a strange sense of beauty to her. She even took the initiative to reach her hand into Godard¡¯s wound and touch his throat bone. ¡°Even the wound on his throat bone is very smooth. How did they do it?¡± The great beauty¡¯s eyes were filled with shock. She could not imagine how much force was needed to be able to slice open Godard¡¯s throat bone so smoothly. Moreover, from the moment she went out to open the door to the room, the time taken was definitely not more than half a minute! ¡°Within half a minute, they avoided my senses and killed Godard Walker directly, leaving such a deep wound.¡± ¡°And it wasn¡¯t just one wound, but three wounds!¡± ¡°Most importantly, all of this clearly happened beside me, but I didn¡¯t know at all!¡± ¡°It was only after they finished killing that I discovered that Godard Walker fell and made a sound.¡± ¡°They sent me to the door and I opened it. Then, they killed Godard Walker in a short span of ten to twenty seconds.¡± ¡°Then, they left before I realized it.¡± ¡°I couldn¡¯t even find any evidence or clues that they left behind!¡± The great beauty¡¯s hands trembled slightly. ¡°With such a brilliant technique, they must be an extremely powerful expert!¡± ¡°If they had targeted me just now¡¡± The mission had been snatched, a super-assassin, and a strange technique¡ The great beauty couldn¡¯t help but shudder. She felt extremely terrified. ¡°Damn it, I can¡¯t stay here anymore!¡± The great beauty¡¯s eyes turned into determination, and then she kicked Godard Walker¡¯s body to the side. Turning on the shower switch, she started to shower next to Godard Walker¡¯s body. The cold water washed away the blood on her body and calmed her down again. She felt around her head for a while and took off her long hair. It was a wig! Instead of a wig, she had short, flaxen hair. Then, she took off all the makeup on her face. She looked completely different from before. Now, she was as pure and sweet as the girl next door. Then, she took off her clothes and wrung out the water. She took her clothes to the bedroom and picked up her bag. She took out a cool set of clothes from inside and put them on. Then, she stuffed the wrung out clothes into her bag and looked around the room. After feeling that she did not miss anything, she jumped out of the window. The room was on the second floor, but it was not difficult for her. She landed steadily. She wanted to leave this place as soon as possible! Following her memories, she followed the place that did not have any cameras and ran all the way through the night, leaving this place safely. After fleeing the scene at lightning speed, it was only half an hour before she arrived at a hidden place. This was an abandoned floor, and no one lived there. She ran all the way to a small room and closed the door. After arriving here, she took out a high-tech phone and pressed a button. Two virtual projections appeared in the sealed room. The projections showed two women. One was around her age, and the other looked to be in her thirties. ¡°Charlene, you did well this time. You completed the mission so quickly.¡± The first to speak was the woman who was around 30 years old. ¡°Sister, you¡¯re great. I have to work hard too.¡± ¡°I¡¯ve already arrived in this city. I can start taking action tomorrow!¡± The girl who looked to be around 20 years old, who was similar in age to Charlene, spoke from behind. After they finished speaking, Charlene couldn¡¯t help but lower her head when she heard what they said. Her face was full of shame. Seeing Charlene¡¯s action, the 30-year-old woman was puzzled. She frowned and asked, ¡°What¡¯s wrong? What happened?¡± Charlene bit her lips. She was originally expressionless when she saw the dead people in the bathroom, but now she appeared to be a little flustered. ¡°Master¡ I, I¡¡± The woman¡¯s frown deepened and she said sternly, ¡°What ¡®I¡¯? What happened? Tell me quickly!¡± ¡°I¡ I was robbed of the mission¡¡± Charlene finally said this because she knew that lying in front of her master would not end well. ¡°What?!¡± ¡°Someone stole the mission?!¡± Chapter 45 - 1-Star Level, 9-Star Assassin?! Translator: Simple MTL Editor: Simple MTL Hearing that her disciple had been robbed of the mission, the woman felt extremely strange. She understood her own disciple. Although both of her disciples were on their first mission, they had been under her tutelage for many years. Although they were currently only 1-star assassins in the Dark Net, their true strength was definitely above 3-star assassins. What was a mere 2-star mission for an assassin of this level? If it was a 3-star mission or a 4-star mission, she could still be forgiven and understood if the mission was snatched away. After all, most of the missions of this level were taken by 4-star and 5-star assassins. However, how could a 1-star and 2-star assassin snatch away a mission from her own disciple? Therefore, she naturally felt a little strange. Then, she began to ask Charlene about the details and details of the mission. Very soon, Charlene told her everything that she had encountered. ¡°What? They lured you to open the door, only for you to find that there was no one outside?¡± ¡°Within half a minute after you left, they had already finished killing people and left?¡± ¡°If you didn¡¯t hear the sound of the target falling to the ground, you wouldn¡¯t even know that he had already been killed?¡± ¡°In fact, you didn¡¯t even find any traces or clues left behind by him at the scene?¡± ¡°This is definitely something that only an 8-star or above super-assassin can do!¡± After Charlene finished speaking, the woman subconsciously felt that the other party was lying. After all, it was a small place and a small 2-star bounty. How could there be a character that was suspected to be an 8-star assassin? However, she thought about it again. Her disciple would never lie to her, especially to herself. Moreover, this time, the mission was snatched away, not a failure. There was even less reason for her to lie. Because of this, she couldn¡¯t help but suck in a breath of cold air. Then, she said to the two people on the screen, ¡°Wait for me!¡± After saying that, the projection was turned off. After turning off the projection, the woman immediately turned on a satellite phone. Not long after, she dialed a secret base far in the Western Region. When the call was connected, a voice came directly from the other end: ¡°Hello, Black Widow. Why did you remember to call me? Did you miss me?¡± The woman did not pay attention to the tone and teasing on the other end. Instead, she quickly said, ¡°Help me investigate something. It¡¯s about a 2-star mission.¡± ¡°Why are you concerned about a 2-star mission?¡± The person on the other end felt a little strange. A dignified 8-star assassin actually inquired about a 2-star mission. What was going on? ¡°Don¡¯t ask too much. Just look it up.¡± The woman¡¯s tone was cold. ¡°Alright.¡± The person on the other end of the line quickly typed on the keyboard. Before long, a string of data appeared in front of him. ¡°I sent it to you. Take a look for yourself!¡± After finding the data, he directly sent it to Black Widow. After receiving the data, Black Widow did not speak to him anymore. Instead, she hung up the phone and started to check the information. It was fine if she didn¡¯t check it, but she was shocked when she saw it. The mission had been submitted more than half an hour ago. The submitted person¡¯s information was ominous. She wasn¡¯t surprised by this information at first. After all, Charlene had told her before that the mission had been snatched by someone. So it was normal for the other party to directly submit the mission and complete it. However, after seeing the information of the person who completed the mission and the hidden remarks behind it, Black Widow was shocked! Name: Secret Account ID: Secret Star Rank: 1-Star Assassin Hidden Star Rank: 7-Star (Or even 9-star) ¡°Or even 9-star?!¡± As an 8-star assassin, Black Widow had already come into contact with the highest level of assassins. She was naturally clear that there was an existence with a hidden star rating of an assassin. This tiny 1-star assassin actually had a 7-star hidden star rating? There was even a sentence added at the end, could it be a 9-star assassin?! Black Widow was completely shocked! One had to know that even she had been an 8-star assassin for many years and was unable to advance. In fact, advancing to a 9-star assassin was her biggest goal these few years! Because, the difference between a 9-star assassin and an 8-star assassin was not as simple as just one star! The respect a 9-star assassin could receive was definitely several times more than an 8-star assassin. It could be said that under a legendary assassin, it was the world of a 9-star assassin. An ordinary three or four 8-star assassins could not even defeat a 9-star assassin! And this small 1-star assassin actually had the hidden rating of a 9-star assassin? Cold sweat dripped down from her forehead. ¡°Could it be that he is a 9-star assassin rebuilding his account and is trying to become a legendary assassin?¡± The more Black Widow thought about it, the more she felt that it was right. And her disciple was actually able to save her life from a 9-star assassin. This was simply a miracle! ¡°The person that the 9-star assassin wants to kill, other than the same 9-star and legendary assassins, must die!¡± ¡°I can only say that this child, Charlene¡¯s, luck is too good. That 9-star assassin didn¡¯t even want to kill her¡¡± In the dark room, Black Widow couldn¡¯t help but feel lucky that her disciple was able to survive. On the other side, the 9-star assassin in Black Widow¡¯s eyes ¡ª Adams. He had long since fled the scene of the dream party. ¡°Mission accomplished. Bounty obtained!¡± Adams was sitting in a bar, happily checking his balance. ¡°Unfortunately, it¡¯s just missing 10,000 dollars.¡± Adams sighed. ¡°But it doesn¡¯t matter. Just treat it as a funeral fee for him.¡± The staff member¡¯s tragic death appeared in his mind, and Adams¡¯ mood began to improve again. ¡°Boss, bring me your most expensive wine!¡±
