《I Was Reincarnated as a Baby God》 Chapter 1 Episode 1 It was a night with a bright full moon. Ianel, who was following the servant ahead of her, shivered. It seemed that the palace was filled even more than normal with chills tonight. It was the first time she had ever walked out of her bedroom so late in the night. Originally, it was already past time for her to be in bed. The attendant who came suddenly did not tell her why His Majesty was urgently looking for her. ¡°What¡¯s wrong with your father calling you at such a late hour?¡± She was Ianel de Roahim, Princess of the Roahim Empire. Ianel was a daughter of the emperor¡¯s love, though she was low in line to succeed to the throne. It was because she looked very similar. (TL note: I believe it is in ref to her mother.) -Ianel If you were only born as a man¡ It was something her father had often said as a habit. As the emperor cared so much about Ianel and kept her by his side, rumors circulated that he did not like the crown prince. However, Ianel did not have any greed for the throne. Anyway, the throne belongs to her brother Agris. Although she did not often see his face after the recent visit to see the Crown Prince, Agris has always been a loving brother to Ianel. In the hall of the Emperor¡¯s palace, which was as quiet as a mouse, only the footsteps of the two people rang out. After walking for a while, Ianel realized something was strange. None of the other servants or knights were seen. Anxiety crept into a corner of her mind. Ianel asked the attendant who acted as her guide. ¡°By any chance¡ did something happen?¡± However, even the servant looked at her as if he had no knowledge of English to understand the question. ¡°I only received the order to bring the Princess with my support.¡± Before she knew it, the two reached a corridor that opened under the auspices splendor of the emperor¡¯s palace. The full moon brightly lit up the beautiful circle behind the arch window. She slightly frowned and opened her eyes in the brightened field of view. She saw two people standing on a vast patronage that was stained with moonlight. The people who were casting long shadows were familiar. They were the Emperor and the Crown Prince. Ianel stepped forward for patronage. It was a moment when she went to both of them with a pleasant face. A calm night breeze blew and ran over Ianel¡¯s neck. The wind was smeared with an unknown, fishy scent. She felt that something strange, so she had a moment of hesitation. The Emperor¡¯s body collapsed to the ground. ¡°Father!!¡± Suddenly running forward, Ianel covered her open mouth with her hand. The surrounding grass was dyed a stark red. Only then did an intense bloody scent penetrate her nose. The Emperor¡¯s pupils, which were wide open, were hollow and lifeless. A blood-soaked cloak, a Gordon dagger that digs deep into his chest¡ (TL note: I¡¯m not sure if it¡¯s a type of named dagger or I mistranslated this.) And the man who has been quietly guarding his side. Her trembling gaze turned to the man. ¡°Brother¡¡.?¡± Unlike Ianel¡¯s pupils that were shaking dizzily, the Prince¡¯s eyes were only calm. He asked in a calm voice. ¡°Ianel. Why are you here?¡± Her head turned devoid of thoughts as if paralyzed. She couldn¡¯t think of anything. Everything seemed like a lie. A cold voice came from overhead. ¡°Well¡¡that¡¯s good.¡± There was a crackling sound coming from her. The young man, looking down at Ianel, was cold. ¡°If you are together, our father will not be lonely.¡± Something cold penetrated into her chest. The hot lump came up with a tearing sensation. It was her own blood. The black blade that pierced her breast was shining in the moonlight. The world slowly sank away. The body that lost its strength fell to the floor. Lost. It was lying next to the body of her father. ¡°Br¡¡other¡¡¡± Every time she managed to spit out a syllable, the blood trickled out. Her trembling hands scratched the dirt floor. Just before her fingertips touched the Prince¡¯s shoes, he removed his feet. A fishy voice descended. (TL note: I¡¯m not quite sure on this bit but keeps coming out with the fishy/metallic adjective) ¡°Dirty.¡± Her vision turned black. * * * How lost she must have been. she could hear a faint song. The soft song continued affectionately, but disappeared when Ianel woke up. Ianel, who opened her eyes, looked around. It was a dark world all over. She was so cramped that she tried to stretch out her arms and legs, but she couldn¡¯t move as if she was stuck in something. It was then when she struggled to get away from it. There was a sound like a cracking ice. There was a crack in the black wall over her vision. Lights that resembled a flame poured in through the crack. A loud noise came from beyond the wall, but she couldn¡¯t understand it. Ianel struggled even harder. The cracks grew larger and split into numerous stems. Darkness broke down with glistening light. It brightened up everywhere in an instant. It was a moment when she was frowning and barely adjusting to her brightened vision. Ianel realized something strange. It was so colorful and strange as if her senses were upside down. She heard a voice above her head. ¡°At last you¡¯re awake.¡± Ianel, who raised her head, shuddered. A strange man and woman were looking down at her. She saw a gorgeous silver-haired man and a cool beauty with a calm atmosphere. When she tried to get up in surprise, something white passed in front of her eyes. Ianel instinctively caught it. The fluffy white cotton ball looked like a soft, elongated tail. ¡®Uh¡¡?¡¯ Her hand that grasped the tail tightly caused pain. Wrapped in soft white fur, it¡¯s like a small kitten¡¯s paw¡ ¡°Rano, get away. You¡¯re scary.¡± ¡°Hmm¡¡ Is it because we are in human form?¡± The silver-haired man said, tilting his head to the side and said. ¡°Then you can show her your true form.¡± A dazzling array of glittering silver lights appeared around him, as if a scattering of stars. The glittering stars disappeared after a while. The appearance of the man from a moment ago was nowhere to be seen. Instead, there stood a huge silver fox. Ianel screamed. ¡°Kiang!!!¡± However, what popped out of her mouth was not a human scream, but the cry of a baby animal. Ianel opened her eyes wide and stared at the silver fox. It must have been. The fox, who raised his head gracefully, is a god from the myth of the Roahim Empire. It was a silver fox. Ianel belatedly looked towards her body. Then she looked alternately between the tiny front paws and the abundant tail that glistened like moonlight. No way¡¡ I¡? ¡°Kuaang?!¡± The princess of the Roahim Empire, Ianel de Roahim, was reincarnated as a god. (TL note: it doesn¡¯t use fox here so I assume the ¡®fox¡¯ form to them in the Empire are Gods ^^*) Chapter 2 The red-haired woman shouted sharply at the giant beast. ¡°Lanore!¡± She beckoned the fox to stand down. The fox changed himself into a human form again in response. Meanwhile, the woman calmed Ianel in a soft voice. ¡°Baby, it¡¯s okay.¡± But Ianel couldn¡¯t calm down at all. She wanted to ask why they are like this and who they were. However, all the sounds coming out of the mouth were ¡®Kiaang¡¯ or ¡®Kuaang¡¯. ¡®I can¡¯t speak!¡® There was no way to do anything because the correct words couldn¡¯t be spoken. Ianel fluttered about her white forefoot. ¡°Koo-ooh¡¡.¡± She looked up at the woman while bemoaning with frustration. Like a clear sky, blue, light-colored eyes came into contact with their eyes. The rosy hair, flowing like a wave, was intense, and the contrasting white skin and sharp features felt cold and vivid. The expressionless woman smiled lightly when their eyes met. She gently tickled the back of Ianel¡¯s nose with her finger. The touch that slowly rubbed along the nose and head was warm. Suddenly, her body became drowsy. Ianel yawned without her knowledge. Her eyes dimly started to close by themselves. The silver-haired man looked down at Ianel and said. ¡°I guess she¡¯s getting sleepy.¡± ¡°Because she must have used all her strength to break out of the egg.¡± ¡°How is she so small? Small feet and a small nose¡¡¡.¡± She felt the long fingertips gently pressing against the soles of her feet. Even while sleeping, Ianel dreamed of her feet moving to avoid finger attacks. ¡°Stop bothering her.¡± ¡°But it¡¯s cute.¡± ¡°¡¡Lanore.¡± ¡°Okay, Seria.¡± The voices of the men and women softly trailed off. ¡®No, if you fall asleep like this¡¡¯ But she couldn¡¯t overcome the drowsiness that came in. ¡®Okay. Let¡¯s just take a nap and think about it.¡¯ As soon as she was left by herself in the comfort of darkness, a low voice sank into her ears. ¡°Sweet dreams, Luenstella.¡± ¡°Good night, Lucia.¡± (TLN: so, new name! Long and short version is so cute. Thanks to friend Jay helping me get the long name correct.) *** The silver hair shone in the sunlight. The man with an elegant and slim figure was a beauty with a stunningly gorgeous appearance. The sharp golden colored pupils like fox eyes looked leisurely through the forest. ¡°Where did our little girl hide?¡± Although he already knew everything, he pretended not to know. Then he stopped in front of a big leaf and smiled. When the leaves were turned aside, a white-haired young fox that was hiding below appeared. The white fox curled up and wagged its tail. There was a mischievous smile on the man¡¯s face. ¡°Lucia.¡± As if to answer the call, the tips of the fluffy pointed ears, mixed with light pink, prickled up. ¡°Hidden in a place like this again.¡± A big hand held Lucia in his arms. She was the former princess Ianel, but she was reborn as a new god, and it¡¯s been a month since she broke free from her egg. Lucia was still a kid. Although she grew in size, she was far smaller than others. ¡°Kueung¡.¡± When she cried out, not wanting to be hugged, the man gently scratched under Lucia¡¯s chin. ¡°We¡¯ll be back home soon. Mother is waiting for us.¡± Lucia reluctantly raised her head to the man who looked down at her kindly. The man¡¯s name is Lanore. He was Lucia¡¯s father. The long silver hair that came down on her small shoulders tickled Lucia over and over again. Like a habit, Lucia put Lanore¡¯s hair in her mouth and spit it out. A month has already passed since Lucia was reborn as a god. At first, she denied reality as much as possible, saying that it was clearer to be having a dream. But Lucia was eventually forced to accept her new fate. ¡®I¡¯m a new god!¡¯ Long ago, there was once a god on the continent. But God was broken to pieces as he fell in love with a human, and it was the Shin Su who were born from the sculpture of the broken pieces. (TLN: ShinSu is the term the new gods are called) The new gods, who inherited the power of God, were able to communicate with each other. They dealt with spirits and took care of the sky and the earth, the sea and the river. Then one day, a catastrophe came. The gods gathered their strength and succeeded in protecting the continent, but after that they had disappeared. The humans left behind recorded the story of the Shinsu as a myth and received it sacredly. According to the myth, the gods were divided into six species. The lion of gold and the fox of silver. Blue whale and red wolf. (TLN: the wolf wasn¡¯t given a ¡®color¡¯ {well that I could TL} in this sentence like the others but it might be red if the wolves are given the term ¡®enemy¡¯? Maybe idk see note at bottom) White Hawk and Green Snake. The great powers of the continent enshrined the different gods and made them a symbol of their country. The guardian of the Roahim Empire was the silver fox. All the Empire¡¯s people worshiped and sanctified the silver fox. Lucia recalled the pictures and explanations she had seen in the book. A silvery fur that looks like it contains moonlight. Eyes with elongated torn pupils that sparkle in strange colors. On the path where the silver fox runs, stardust remains to form the Milky Way. Stardust, no matter how mythical it was, was too exaggerated. ¡®There was a day when I thought¡¡¯ When she first saw him, she thought he had something on his face and shook it off. But now, she¡¯s gotten used to the stardust that scatters every time she would hit her own feet. Fortunately, it did not flash every time, but only on the night of the full moon. ¡°Isn¡¯t our little girl going to conquer the north today?¡± Lanore moved slowly, stroking Lucia¡¯s head. Obviously he was walking, and the landscape in front of him quickly swept past. Lucia exhaled in Lanore¡¯s arms. ¡®What conquest?¡¯ The vast forest of the gods seemed to be imbued with magic everywhere. Even after running all day, she couldn¡¯t see the end. There were many times when she ran hard and got lost on her way home. But no matter where in the woods, Lanore and Seria could easily find Lucia. While she seemed to be free, they never let Lucia go out of the forest boundary. It was because it was dangerous outside. Lucia has been very small since she was an egg. She was not even half the size of an ordinary Shinsu egg. Lanore and Seria had been worried, fearing that none of their eggs would ever hatch for eternity. And then after a long wait of ten years. Finally, Lucia was miraculously born. Even after her birth, Lucia made the hearts of the two gods agitated. According to Lanore, the gods were unable to deal with the spirits after the catastrophe. Instead, the divine power remained as it was, so as soon as she was born, she used it freely. Of course, it can turn one into a human form, and if one has a talent for magic or a sword, they could use divine power there. But for Lucia it was different. She couldn¡¯t speak or change her appearance into a human form yet. It seemed that it was because of the previous life that was human. She was reincarnated as a god, but Lucia remembered her previous life. Ianel, the princess of the Roachim Empire, was murdered by her brother, Agris. His father¡¯s body, which was cooling under the bright moonlight¡¡. The bloody smell that vibrated on the grass still seemed to remain on the tip of her nose. She didn¡¯t know why Agris killed their father and herself. No matter how much her father cared for Ianel, she could not be the emperor. Even if she was still there, in a few years, the crown prince, Agris, would have inherited the throne. ¡®But why¡¡¡!¡¯ The face that was calm even after putting a sword in his father¡¯s heart. Every time she remembers that day, her anger soared in her heart. She wanted to find Agris and ask him why he did it. But there was nothing Lucia could do now. ¡®I¡¯m not even sure what to say.¡¯ It was time for Lucia to droop her ears sullenly. ¡°Seria!¡± Arriving in front of a huge cave, Lanoer shouted. Then, a red magic circle appeared at the entrance and disappeared. When the magic circle disappeared, the ordinary cave turned into a cave made of precious crystals. Lucia and Lanore walked into the softly shining cave. Seria, who was drawing a magic circle on the floor, arose. The rose-colored hair, tied up together, fluttered down. She silently opened her arms to Lanore. She was asking him to hand over her. But Lanore smiled and leaned into Seria¡¯s arms, holding fast onto Lucia. ¡°Dad needs a hug, too.¡± (TLN: this the papa saying he needs one himself from the wify.) ¡°You¡¡± Seria gave Lanore a hug with Lucia even as she glanced at him. Lucia¡¯s mother, Seria, was a red wolf. Her appearance as she turned into a god was full of dignity. The glossy red fur seemed to hold flames, and when she exhaled through her mouth, a hot flame rose. She looked as if she would melt her bones if she touched it mistakenly. But in front of Lucia, she was always an affectionate mother. Seria took Lucia from Lanoer. She said and she gently stroking the top of Lucia¡¯s head. ¡°Check the letter.¡± While Lucia was distracted, Lanore grumbled to Seria. ¡°How long are you going to talk so formally?¡± He rubbed his face on Seria¡¯s cheek, saying, ¡°Isn¡¯t it time to speak comfortably now that we have Lucia now?¡± Seria blinked a little fast and muttered. ¡°¡¡not very well.¡± ¡°Someone still thinks I¡¯m the boss.¡± Lanoer, who raised his eyebrows dissatisfiedly, unfolded the letter on the desk. He frowned as he read. ¡°Oh, my. Something has come up.¡± Lanoer lightly flicked his fingers to burn the letter. He narrowed his long eyes and told Seria. ¡°The owner of Roachim will change. The Emperor was murdered.¡± Lucia¡¯s body has hardened. Lucia looked at Lanoer with her eyes wide open. ¡°The culprit is¡¡± And the words that followed were unthinkable. ¡°The Princess, Ianel de Roahim.¡± As if she was pouring ice water on top of her head, her mind went cold. ¡°The princess killed the emperor and then committed suicide.¡± Well poor Lucia has a new life but finds out that her damnable brother has pinned the crime on her head -.- hmm wonder when our adorable little Lucia gets a human form and what magic she¡¯ll be capable of! Changes made are the papa¡¯s name formally Reno to Lenore my bad¡ I working on my naming skills they not that good Footnote: The enemy is the Korean era, and Ming Queen is the term for the daeryebok is worn. Enmity was one of the highest ceremonies, so embroidery and gold leaf were also formal. It was usually made of scarlet silk, and was a symbol of a woman in the highest rank of the Joseon Dynasty by attaching a five-joryongbo embroidered with gold thread as a breastplate, and embroidered phoenix or pheasant on the enemy ~Courtesy of Laiju Chapter 3 He had blamed their father¡¯s death on herself¡¡ -Dirty. A fishy voice resounded in her ears like a hallucination. her frozen mind was enveloped in flames. ¡°Lucia?¡± Seria looked at Lucia with worried eyes. Lucia cried, flapping her four feet. ¡°Kkueueung! kkueu, kkiaang!!¡± ¡®Agris! You bastard!!¡¯ Large teardrops formed on her round eyes. Her fur got wet and wetter with the tears. ¡°Kking, kkiiing¡¡¡± With a crying little fox in front of them, Lanore and Seria were at a loss of what to do. Seria memorized all the healing magic spells she knew. Lanore brought Lucia¡¯s favorite fruit-filled tray in front of her. But Lucia never stopped crying. ¡°You¡¯re crying so hard. What if you get exhausted from this?¡± Seria hugged Lucia next to Lanore, who was seriously muttering. Seria was being comforting, stroking her trembling little body. ¡°Shh, my baby. Good girl¡¡¡± The usual cool voice soothed Lucia with its warmth. Embraced in Seria¡¯s warm arms, Lucia swallowed back her tears. And she made a firm commitment. ¡®I¡¯ll definitely reveal the truth!¡¯ * * * Lucia, who had cried with sorrow and anger, fell asleep exhausted. The next morning, Lucia opened her eyes between Seria and Lanore¡¯s arms. The two hugged Lucia close as they laid down on their backs sleeping. After getting out of the arms of the both of them, Lucia turned to start stretching. ¡°Kkuuung¡¡!¡± Although she had short legs, it was cool to stretch them out one by one. After finishing her stretching, Lucia sat down on a soft pillow. Is it because she shed all her tears last night? She felt like her mind had calmed down a little bit. She had to quickly check out the situation at the Royal Palace of Roachim. As more time goes by, it will be harder to uncover the truth that has been buried. But right now, Lucia was facing a situation in which she couldn¡¯t even go outside. ¡®It would be much better if I could just say it.¡¯ Lucia opened her mouth. And she tried to concentrate and speak out. ¡°¡¡Kkiang.¡± It was also a ¡®Kkiang¡¯. Lucia rubbed her front paws against the restless muzzle. She heard a loud laugh from in front of her. When she looked at the side where she heard the sound, Lanore and Seria, who had woken up, were watching Lucia. (TLN: yes it says from front then changes to side¡) Lanore reached out and pulled Lucia back. Lucia was once again stuck between the two. ¡°I think my little one must be in a good mood now.¡± Lanore tapped Lucia¡¯s nose to keep her from hurting. Her nose tickled. ¡°Kkingchyu!¡±(TLN: omg this sneeze is soooo cute!) Lanore laughed out loud as Lucia sneezed and her body trembled. Lanore said with his long eyes bent into a crescent moon. ¡°You cried a lot and fell asleep, so you must be hungry. Shall we eat first?¡± Lucia looked at all the colorful fruits that were in the basket. There were many nameless fruits that she had never eaten in her previous life. Perhaps it was because they were fruits that only grew in the forest of divinity. How sweet the crunchy fresh pulp is. Just looking at them made her mouth water. She didn¡¯t like sweets originally before, but she felt that her appetite preferences had changed as she was reborn. Lucia fell into Seria¡¯s arms and ate the fruit she had carved one by one. Lanore, who was smiling at Lucia eating fruit, got out of bed. ¡°I¡¯m going to have to go to the handover once.¡± Lucia pricked her ears. She focused on Lanore, chewing the fruit in her mouth and swallowing it. Lanore flicked out his finger. Then the silver feet, which had been stretched to the waist, became so short that they slightly covered the neck. The tip of the pointed ears turned round, and the odd pupils that had been torn all the way down the length reduced to the appearance of a normal human being. ¡°If I try to do it later, Vermon might come into the woods.¡± He spoke aloud, checking his appearance in a full-body mirror. ¡°While I¡¯m there, I¡¯ll have to check in on the Royal Household of Roachim.¡± Seria, who was handing fruit to Lucia, murmured quietly. ¡°Since two members of the Imperial family are dead¡¡ It must be a mess by now¡± Lucia, who listened in to the conversation between the two, clenched her small forelegs tightly. Lanore, it seemed that he would be going out into the human world soon. This was a golden opportunity. When Lucia stopped eating, Seria blinked. ¡°Lucia. Are you full now?¡± Lucia put down the piece of fruit she was holding in her mouth. Then she jumped down lightly from the table and ran back and forth. Arriving at Lanore, who was packing up a few things, Lucia clasped onto his trousers tightly. ¡°Lucia?¡± Seria and Lanore both stared at Lucia with their eyes wide open. Lanore glanced at Seria, and then asked back, looking at Lucia. ¡°Don¡¯t tell me¡¡you want to go with me?¡± Lucia nodded as hard as she could. The fluffy tail fluttered. But before Lanore could answer, Seria cut off and dissuaded her. ¡°No, Lucia. The human world is a dangerous place.¡± It was a very determined voice. ¡°Kkueueung¡¡¡± The tail, which had been swaying, lost its strength and sank. Lucia looked up at Lanore, the last remaining hope. With the most pitiful expression on her face, she hung on his feet and groaned. ¡°Umm.¡± Lanore looked embarrassed at the sight of Lucia pulling at the hem of his clothing with all her might. He whispered to Seria. ¡°Wouldn¡¯t it be safe since she¡¯ll be with me?¡± ¡°Kiyang!¡± Lucia gave a shout of cheer. ¡°Lanore.¡± But Seria was not relenting. ¡°Lucia hasn¡¯t even had her Birth ceremony yet.¡± (TLN: When I first started to TL this sentence it looked like Lucia had yet to give birth yet >.<) ¡°Even if it¡¯s a ritual, it¡¯s just the other Shinsu that will be coming to see Lucia anyway.¡± ¡°But¡¡± Lanore hugged Lucia, who was jumping around. As he was patting Lucia¡¯s fluffy fur, he raised up his eyebrows. ¡°Don¡¯t worry too much, Seria. Am I so unreliable?¡± Lanore, with a mischievous face, shook Lucia round and round. ¡°Lucia, do you think you and Dad should go and explore the human world? Huh?¡± ¡°Kkang!¡± ¡°There are so many strange wonders in the human world.¡± The strange things he was talking about must have been something she had seen in her past life. But Lucia shook her tail as if she was looking forward to it. Seria looked at Lucia¡¯s gleaming eyes that were full of anticipation and sighed. In the end, she couldn¡¯t beat Lucia either. ¡°Let¡¯s go together, then.¡± Seria packed up Lucia¡¯s favorite blankets, cushions, and fruits in a cloth bag. Soon Lanore and Lucia were all ready to leave the forest. ¡°Lucia, Mom will follow you when I¡¯m done preparing for the birth ceremony.¡± Although Seria didn¡¯t show much emotion, she seemed to be disappointed in the face of them parting. Lucia licked the tip of Seria¡¯s nose slightly, meaning for her not to worry. ¡°¡¡¡± Seria curled her lips up in silence. Lanore smiled as he looked at her blushed cheeks. In the end, Seria hugged Lucia tightly and kissed her with a loud noise. After a long time of kisses, they set off much later than they expected. Lanore kissed Seria lightly on the cheek. ¡°I¡¯ll be there first, Seria.¡± Lucia said hello with her feet out. ¡°Kkyut!¡± From the magic circle on the ground, a gust of wind and dazzling lights sprang up like a tornado. It wasn¡¯t until the wind stopped that Lucia was barely able and opened her eyes. It was a dense forest. Unlike the forest they resided in, which is full of vitality, this looked like a common forest she would see from her previous life. Walking along the forest path, Lanore spoke softly to Lucia. ¡°Lucia, there are three taboos that must be kept by the Shinsu.¡± First, don¡¯t get too involved in the human world. Second, don¡¯t let the human beings know that you¡¯re a Shinsu. And lastly, the third. Don¡¯t fall in love with humans. It was a taboo made to keep the secrets of the gods from humans. ¡°If any of these three taboos turns out to be known, they will be taken to the Presbyterian Church and sealed in the forest of gods¡¡± Lanore replied with a grin, not a word instead. ¡°I think it¡¯s a silly taboo, but you¡¯d better pretend to protect Ildan. Okay?¡± Lucia answered with a wagging tail. ¡°Good, little girl.¡± Lanore patted Lucia and slowly moved on. As they walked on for a while, the trees and bushes were lifted up and a huge castle appeared. The castle, which turned against the snow-covered mountain range, was blue in every spot hit by sunlight. It was an overwhelming and beautiful castle. Lucia, who was watching with her eyes wide open, tilted her head. Because of the flagpole high up on the wall, the flags were fluttering. ¡®Something familiar¡¡?¡¯ The sentence that was drawn on one of the flags was familiar. As soon as she looked closely for a moment, the soldiers on the wall found Lucia and Lanore. The scouts quickly began to ring the bell. There was a roar behind the loud bell. With the sound of the gears turning, the massive gates were slowly opened. Knights ran out of the gate. ¡°Your Excellency the Grand Duke!¡± Surprised by the urgent and roaring cry, Lucia suddenly stiffened herself. ¡®Wait a minute¡¡ Your Excellency?¡¯ The knights, who reached them in a flash, knelt down in unison with this thrilled emotional looks. ¡°Your Excellency Elharan!¡± ¡°Congratulations on your return!!¡± Standing before the welcoming knights, Lucia opened her mouth blankly. A ruler who rules over the northern part of the Roachim Empire. The Master of the Idelbador Mountains and the icy walls. The very Duke of Elharan who even the Emperor couldn¡¯t treat carelessly¡¡ ¡®My dad, so you¡¯re a Shinsu?!¡¯ HAAA no wonder he was so for not caring about the taboos cuz he blatantly ignoring them himself so why should his precious baby daughter have to listen to it either! My goodness this ch is so full of cuteness >.< Chapter 4 Lanore Karl Elharan. The Duke of Elharan was famous for never appearing in social circles or banquets. Even if the emperor ordered for his appearance, it was rare to see his face. As a result, few people knew about the appearance of Grand Duke Elharan. Lucia was also a princess, and she never met him in her previous life. But no one looked down on Elharan just because he didn¡¯t show up in society. Grand Duke Elharan, who ruled the North, was the owner of the high and rugged Idelbador Mountains and the Ice Wall. The swordsmanship of the Grand Duke was praised as the best on the continent, and there was a saying that it exceeded human limitations. It was quite a reliable rumor. After his appointment to be the Grand Duke. It was because the barbarians had never been able to cross the north and invaded the empire. Besides that, there were countless rumors surrounding him. It is as cold as an ice wall. A cruel killer who enjoys blood and slaughter and so on. There were even rumors that he was an old and ugly-looking grandfather and that he was an outstanding beauty at the same time. But no one knew which was true. It was because his presence was shrouded in mystery, as it was rare even to meet the great Duke in person. For some reason, I¡¯ve heard that the great man often empties his castle¡¡ ¡®That¡¯s because he¡¯s a Shinso!¡¯ While accepting the shocking fact, Lucia entered the Great Wall in Lanore¡¯s arms. The Great Wall was cold and daunting, with the Ethelbador Mountains covered with ice caps and ice walls. But unlike the sharp atmosphere outside, there was warm air inside. On the news of the return of the Grand Duke Elharan, all the knights and maids came out to greet their master. Dozens of people bent their knees and bowed to show their respect. Lanore looked down at them and said lightly. ¡°That¡¯s enough to say greetings.¡± The guards rose from the floor having gained permission from the Lord. The young man standing at the front came close. The man wearing glasses and a suit looked very meticulous. ¡°Congratulations on your return, Grand Duke.¡± ¡°Eden.¡± Lanore grinned at his name. The man named Eden raised his glasses and spoke. ¡°So, now that you¡¯ve returned you¡¯re going to have to start working now.¡± At Eden¡¯s words, Lanore frowned. ¡°The welcome is too short, shouldn¡¯t we have a celebration party?¡± ¡°No.¡± Eden, who answered flatly, looked at Lucia. Lucia, who was being hugged like a white cotton ball, wriggled her body. Then her tiny ears sprang up. ¡°¡¡!!¡± The retainers opened their eyes wide. The Roachim Empire was a country that worshiped the silver foxes. When hunting in the woods, none would dare to hunt foxes. Fox poaching was strictly prohibited by imperial law. In particular, the silver-haired fox was a rare species found in the Idelbador Mountains. Very few of the castle retainers had witnessed it. ¡°Cute, isn¡¯t it?¡± Lanore looked up at Lucia. Lucia, rising into the air, looked down at the vassals of the Grand Duke. Lucia and the retainers looked at each other awkwardly. Then one of the knights plucked up courage and asked carefully. ¡°Grand Duke. That silver fox¡¡?¡± Lanore said in a playful voice. ¡°My daughter.¡± Everyone was stunned by the absolutely ridiculous answer. And it was the same with Lucia. Frustrated, Lucia raised her head up looking at Lanore. ¡°Kkiang¡?¡± Lanore grinned and said again. ¡°It means that she¡¯s a precious fox like a daughter. I¡¯ll be taking care of her.¡± Elharan¡¯s retainers were puzzled and said they would serve them with all their heart amazed. Luca cried a sigh full of tears. Lanore patted Lucia on the head and added a plausible explanation. ¡°I found her crying in the mountains of Idelvador and brought her here. She must have lost her mother.¡± Everyone was puzzled, but they seemed to believe the Grand Duke, who is like the sky, agreed so. Lanoar asked while rubbing the tip of his chin. ¡°Did everything go well while I was away?¡± ¡°The barbarians came over the ice wall.¡± At Eden¡¯s report, Lanore narrowed his eyes. Those gold eyes shone coolly, and the lips that were tightly closed twisted. He said with a cynical smile. ¡°Bugs are quick-witted.¡± A sharp chill crept through her body. Lucia instinctively bristled up her hair. Then, the chill that had been stuck like a sharp thorn just now disappeared in an instant. ¡°¡oh, my God. Lanore kicked his tongue short and patted Luca straight away. Lucia, looked around nervously. But Lucia was the only one who was scared. ¡°Do you want to play now?¡± ¡°I will prepare a sword and armor.¡± The people of the Grand Duchy acted with great composure, as if they were familiar with this side. Numerous rumors surrounding Elharan have crossed her mind. ¡®A killer who enjoys blood and slaughter¡¡¯ She had just thought it was a rumor, but now she thought it might not be. Lucia¡¯s small body trembled at that. Lanore looked at Lucia quietly and told the knights. ¡°Once later.¡± Then Lanore climbed the stairs in the middle of the castle. They went up to the highest floor and arrived at the bedroom. Lanore put Lucia down on a big bed. ¡°Lucia.¡± Situated on a soft blanket, Lucia looked up at Lanore. He pulled Lucia¡¯s big ears from both sides. (Which is it small or big LOL) ¡°Sorry, were you surprised?¡± Very surprised. She was really startled. It was because it was something she had never seen before. Lanore had not gotten angry in front of Lucia. He didn¡¯t raise his voice, and he always smiled and played around. ¡®But earlier¡ it was clearly Grand Duke Elharan.¡¯ Now she could see how friendly and behaved he was before Lucia and Seria. Nevertheless, the fact that Lanore is Lucia¡¯s father has not changed. Lusha patted Lanore¡¯s hand and back with her toes as she looked worried. Lanore smiled and clenched his front feet. ¡°You can take a nap here. Dad will be back after work.¡± And he rolled up the blanket and wrapped it tightly around Luca. Lucia, who was left alone in the bedroom, drooped. So many things happened suddenly that she was completely distracted. ¡°Hiyuu¡.¡± It was when she was holding the blanket and sighing. Lucia suddenly pricked up her ears. She felt a strange feeling. Just as she was lifting her body up. The air in the bedroom became heavy for a moment, and mysterious lines of stagnation appeared in the air. The thin lines of light were intertwined like threads. In the silver magic in the middle of the bedroom, Lucia opened her mouth. As soon as the silver magic circle flashed, a man wearing a navy robe appeared. She was a cold-feeling beauty. White skin, cold light blue eyes, and silvery hair just above the shoulders. The man, who seemed to be made of winter snow, stepped down gently on the bedroom carpet. A large jeweled necklace on the man¡¯s neck shook lightly. The jewel was inscribed with an inverted triangle seal. It was a necklace given only to wizards belonging to the Matter Rune Hillt. Rune Hillt, an independent organization that does not belong to any country. Only one of the most talented wizards on the continent could belong to Run Hillt. Every wizard dreamed of entering Rune Hillt. ¡®But why is the sorcerer of rune Hillt in the Great Wall?¡¯ Then the man found Lucia on the bed. A straight eyebrow on his face curled up. A distinct displeasure was stamped on the fine face. Lusha shuddered with the gaze of icy eyes. The man took a step toward Lucia. The hem of the elongated robes swept the floor. Without a moment¡¯s delay, a large hand suddenly picked up Lucia. Surprised, Lucia scrambled her short legs in the air. ¡°Kkuaong! Kkiung!¡± His blue eyes, which came close to her nose, pierced through Lucia. The man spoke as if he were amazing. ¡°What, this lump of dust?¡± He turned the little Lucia upside down and criticized her one after another. ¡°What a trifle.¡± ¡°That¡¯s too small!¡± ¡°It doesn¡¯t seem like anything useful.¡± It was a time when she was hearing curses while hearing it upside down out of the room. Kkoleuleug! (loud grumbling growl) There was a loud noise in the bedroom. The man stopped pulling Lucia¡¯s tail. It was Lucia¡¯s mouth where the sound came from. The man with his eyes slightly open is ridiculous. He gave an absurd laugh as if he were crying. ¡°¡¡Ha.¡± And there was nothing to eat after she came out of the forest in the morning. Maybe because it was the body of a young animal, she often became hungry. My toes closed in with embarrassment. If she were a human, her face would definitely be red. ¡°I can¡¯t be helped.¡± The man said coldly with cold eyes. ¡°Let¡¯s eat first and talk again, sister.¡± WHAAAAAA what¡¯s this??? A big brother? Or another Shinso and calling her sister due to being shinso?? Daddy did you and mommy have other kids?! Chapter 5 MARRY XMAS ALL Lanore strode away. Walking along the long castle corridor without hesitation, he opened the office door wide. ¡°You¡¯re here.¡± Eden, the butler of Elharan (di Air), who had been waiting in advance, bowed politely. (TLN I¡¯m not to sure on the name but will include rather then remove) Lanore headed for the innermost desk. There was a long sword placed on top of the desk. Lanore, who picked up the long sword, pulled it out at once. An eerie blade was revealed with a gruesome sound of metal. Lanore sat on the edge of his desk and looked at the blade in the sun. He looked at the sword with a blank expression for some time, but he nodded to Eden. ¡°Eden.¡± ¡°Yes, Your Grace.¡± Eden opened his mouth with his back straightened. ¡°Bermon has blocked the ice wall, but the barbarians have taken advantage of your absence.¡± It continued to report that there was a close battle with the barbarians who crossed the ice wall, injured people and some damage to the private houses. ¡°We also don¡¯t know why, but the scouts report that the movement of the barbarians has become very active in recent years.¡± ¡°Since when?¡± ¡°About a month ago.¡± ¡°¡¡Huh.¡± Lanore pushed the sword into the censor. ¡°It¡¯s about the time Lucia was born.¡± ¡°Is that so?¡± Eden confirmed again that there were only two people in the office and opened his mouth. ¡°She finally awoke from her egg.¡± ¡°That¡¯s right, Seria had a hard time.¡± Lanore said with a fox-like smile. ¡°Her name is Luenstella. We call her ¡°Lucia¡± for short.¡± Eden muttered to himself, ¡°Lucia.¡± And added in a small voice. ¡°¡¡ That¡¯s apretty name.¡± Lanoar, who put down the sword, asked, tilting his head slightly to the side by side. ¡°Did the Roahim Imperial family call you back?¡± ¡°The third letter has already arrived.¡± Laughter spread through the office. Lanore smiled with his eyes as he swept away his disheveled silver hair. ¡°Are you fretting? It¡¯s interesting to see you go back.¡± ¡°You have to make a quick decision.¡± ¡°I think we should, but¡¡¡± It was then. Lanore suddenly hardened his face. He turned his head sharply. ¡°¡¡¡± Lanoia, staring at the window, mumbled, frowning as if it were ridiculous. ¡°I¡¯ll have to start over with my child¡¯s education first.¡± *** The wizard of Rune Hillt kidnapped Lucia as it was. The man snapped his finger, and the room was suddenly full of bright silver everywhere. As the light died down, it was a completely new place. Lucia looked around the changed area. The place where Lucia and the man moved was a large, circular space. About ten people huddled together at a large table in the center of the room. All of them, of varying gender and age, wore Rune Hillt¡¯s robes and wore Rune Hillt¡¯s seal necklace. They were all looking at this side with their glasses raised high, freezing, but it seemed like we were going to make a toast. ¡°¡¡¡± An awkward silence ensued. Then someone dropped a glass of wine onto the table. The wizards, who had been frozen with a thud, came to their senses. They started screaming and running away. ¡°Ahhhhhh!¡± ¡°Go, run away!¡± The wizards ran everywhere, fleeing the monster. But the man¡¯s magic was much faster than they were backing out. He snorted and flicked his finger twice in succession. Then the windows and doors in the room closed at once. The magicians, whose escape routes were all blocked in front of their noses, looked back with blue faces. They gave a belated greeting. ¡°Be, Be, Bermon¡¡¡± ¡°Welcome back to the tower. Oh¡.¡± ¡°I¡¯m so glad you¡¯re alive. I thought you were dead.¡¡± ¡°You know, it¡¯s been a while since you¡¯ve been here¡¡!¡± It was a very reluctant welcome. The man called Bermon stared at the wizards with cool eyes. ¡°You must have had lots of fun while I was away, didn¡¯t you all?¡± ¡°No, that¡¯s not it.¡± The sorcerers, sweating cold, hid away their wine bottles and glasses. But it¡¯s already too late. The table was already a mess of spilled wine and eaten food. Bermon¡¯s eyebrows wriggled at the appearance of the dirty mess all over the tower. Just before the magic of anger came down, a wizard quickly asked a question. ¡°By the way, what could that be you have in your hand?¡± Lucia struggled again to let her presence know. Curious eyes poured on the baby fox swinging its short legs. Bermon replied in a calm voice. ¡°A lump of dust.¡± The wizards frowned at the absurd remarks. ¡°No. That¡¯s a baby fox by any standard¡¡¡± ¡°The hair is silver, isn¡¯t it?¡± ¡°It¡¯s very small.¡± ¡°Cute.¡± The wizards crept toward Lucia, questioning and listening one after another. But before the wizards reached, Bermon pulled Lucia into his arms and hid her. Lucia was buried in the sleeves of Bermon with a squeak as they wizards. When the baby fox was obscured, the wizards hummed and felt sorry. They asked, trying to look at Lucia, who was covered up hidden away. ¡°Why did you bring a fox all of a sudden?¡± Bermon did not answer immediately, but remained silent. The wizards opened their mouths at the same time. ¡°No way¡¡¡± ¡°No way, right?¡± ¡°Bermon, it¡¯s not possible!¡± The wizards held on to Bermon¡¯s robes stretching them. Bermon stepped back with an irritating face and got on his nerves. ¡°What do you mean no?¡± ¡°You¡¯re going to be doing a magic experiment on a fox!¡± Everyone looked at the baby fox in the hands of the master with eyes full of sympathy. ¡°It¡¯s still a baby!¡± ¡°Poor thing¡.¡± Bermon uttered a laugh. ¡°We don¡¯t do experiments.¡± ¡°So why did you bring it here?¡± ¡°To eat.¡± The wizards shouted more and more. ¡°Eating a baby fox!¡± ¡°No matter how cruel you are, you are so cruel!!¡± ¡°If the fact that you ate a fox will be known to the Roachim Empire, you¡¯ll be in big trouble!¡± Bermon ignored them and walked past them into the room. ¡°No way!¡± ¡°Mr. Bermon!¡± And in front of the magicians who followed him, Bermon slammed the door. ¡°I¡¯m going to kill it soon. Shut up, you punks.¡± The gruesome mutter of Bermon clicked the door shut and turned around without hesitation. In the meantime, Lucia was looking around the room with her mouth open. All four walls were made up of bookshelves. The bookcases, which extended from the floor to the end of the high ceiling, were densely packed with no empty spaces. ¡®I think there are more books than in the royal library¡¡¡¯ Besides books, the room was full of strange things that she had never seen before. Nameless experimental tools, a machine with complex cogs, a map of an unrecognizable language, etc. ¡®From what I heard with the wizards earlier, I thought he¡¯d been away for months.¡¯ However, it was hard to find a single speck of dust in any of the items that were lined up in an orderly fashion. It was a room that revealed an extremely clean personality that was close to obsessive compulsive disorder. For a moment, Lucia wondered if she heard it wrong. As he looked alternately at the plate and the hormones with puzzled eyes, he said again. ¡°Eat it, dust.¡± Suddenly I was very hungry. Lucia crawled slowly toward the plate, looking up at his face. Bermon clicked its tongue. ¡°Stupid, small, insignificant¡¡¡± Lucia grabbed the fruit, which was cut into small bits to eat, with her front paw. The sweet and sour pulp spread through her mouth. Someone knocked on the door as they were eating the fruits. ¡°Mr. Bermon.¡± ¡°What is it?¡± ¡°People from the Roahim Empire asked for an audience.¡± Bermon, who was watching Lucia, who was eating hard, with his chin in his hand, made an impression. ¡°Send them back.¡± ¡°It¡¯s¡ ..that they refuse to go back until they see the Master of the Tower.¡± Lucia lifted her head instead of cutting fruit. ¡®Tower Master?¡¯ The horse was the head of the tower¡¯s Rune Hillt. In particular, the current Tower Master was an archmage widely recognized on the continent. ¡®This rude man is the Master of the tower¡¡?¡¯ He could feel her gaze on him that he looked up at her, so Bermon looked at Lucia again. As soon as she met his pale blue eyes, Lucia dropped the piece of fruit in her mouth. Bermon naturally pulled out his handkerchief. Then, he wiped the juice from her fur thoroughly. Bermon said, putting away what fell on the desk, handing over a new piece of fruit to Lucia. ¡°Why did you ask the reason why they want an audience?¡± The wizard beyond the door hesitated and answered. ¡°He wants to reveal the truth about the death of the Emperor. Chapter 6 Episode 6 Lucia leapt up and stared over for the door. Her heart began to pound hard. She even shook her ears thinking that she might have heard it wrongly. Prince Agris blamed the dead princess for all the sins he had committed. Ianel De Roachim became a pariah who murdered her father when she was half asleep. ¡®But I just said it was the truth about the Emperor¡¯s death.¡¯ There were some people who believe that Ianel didn¡¯t commit murder. In the midst of the hopeless future, a bright hope sprang up. She shouldn¡¯t have stayed still like this. Lucia held onto Vermon¡¯s wide sleeve spread on his desk and pulled it. Vermon frowned as Lucia clung to his sleeve. ¡°What? You have to say actual words for me to understand.¡± ¡°Uuveeve! Veeve!!¡± With his sleeve in her mouth, Lucia pointed towards the door with her nose bounced about in place. Vermon, who was watching with his head tilted slightly, opened his lips as if he had suddenly realized something. ¡°You can¡¯t be¡¡± Lucia twinkled her eyes with anticipation and shook her tail about vigorously. ¡°Did you eat like that and still want to grow up properly?¡± ¡°Kiaang!¡± ¡®That¡¯s not it!¡¯ Vermon clicked his tongue and pulled the fruit plate forward. ¡°A glutton for a meal.¡± Lucia became frustrated and annoyed by his lack of understanding and bit the tip of Vermon¡¯s index finger. She bit as hard as she could, but the Vermon didn¡¯t even flinch. Rather, he held out his other fingers as if to encourage her to bite more. She was really inclined to bite him very properly. Again, a voice rang out from the other side of the door. ¡°Mr. Vermon? What should I do?¡± Vermon looked down at Lucia. Lucia was staring out the door instead of biting the finger. Someone had opened the door and left to retrieve delicious snacks. Lucia jumped off the desk and ran hard with her little legs. However, the door was closed with a bang right before her nose. ¡®No¡!¡¯ Lucia slumped in front of the door with a blank look dawning on her face. But she wasn¡¯t completely hopeless. ¡®There¡¯s someone who knows that I¡¯ve been wronged!¡¯ A very small but clear hope sprouted from in her heart. Lucia had a strong determination now engraved in her heart. ¡®I¡¯ll make sure I¡¯m cleared!¡¯ Lucia shouted as she stretched her front feet vigorously into the sky. ¡®I can do it!¡¯ ¡°Kiaang!¡± *** Upon arriving in front of the Tower master¡¯s room, Vermont opened the door. The knights, who had been waiting around silently, were surprised by the unannounced appearance and opened their eyes wide. ¡°¡¡!¡± Recently, she already knew that Tower Master didn¡¯t meet anyone. Of course, she came here even with the determination of being kicked out. But she never imagined that Tower Master would actually meet them. The knight who jumped up asked the bermon. ¡°Are you the master of the Tower?¡± Vermin barely lifted up his head as he went over to the top seat. He sat down all relaxed and crossed his legs. The knights sat on the sofa again while watching them. ¡°Thank you for allowing this meeting.¡± ¡°Of course you¡¯d appreciate it.¡± ¡°I am the Viscount of the Roachim Empire, Melbeard.¡¡± ¡°Stop.¡± Vermon cut off the person with an expressionless face. ¡°You don¡¯t have to reveal your origins or family. It doesn¡¯t mean anything here.¡± The driver hardened his body with a cold voice. Vermont was right. Matap Runehilt was free of all constrictions from all nations and status on the continent. There was nothing more stupid than talking about where he came from and who he was. The knight, which took a deep breath, carefully brought up the main point. ¡°I would like to reveal the truth about the death of His Majesty.¡± But Vermon didn¡¯t even blink at his words. ¡°Is there any truth left to be revealed there?¡± Rather, it was an incident in which the honor of the imperial family fell to the bottom because it was so starkly exposed. The knight shut his lips for a moment at the openly sarcastic remark. He swallowed his dry mouth and spoke calmly again. ¡°The princess never did such a thing¡¡ she¡¯s not someone who¡¯s capable of hurting anyone.¡± It was a voice full of pent-up anger. The knight squeezed his fists on his lap. Vermon looked as veins bugled on the knight¡¯s clenched hands and softly spoke. ¡°That would remain true until she started suffering from mental illness.¡± The knight hardened at the same time. ¡°I believe the court made a statement that the princess was mentally ill at the time?¡± The courtiers who examined the royal family had to leave a record of everyone¡¯s suspected mental illness. A week before the Emperor was killed. The royal court¡¯s examination report said the princess had been added to the report. The court diagnosed that the nature of the princess was suddenly reversed, she could no longer control her anger, and she often acted impulsively as if she had become another person. As a result of compiling statements of opinion and eyewitness accounts the imperial family concluded that the mentally ill princess committed the murder impulsively. The knight with his teeth clenched shouted loudly. ¡°It¡¯s been fabricated!¡± Vermon¡¯s face showed his irritation as he got up to leave. Then the knight behind his back shouted as if he were grasping the last straw. ¡°I¡¯ll bet on the name of Fayran Abelrod!¡± Vermon stopped as he grabbed the doorknob. As the cool energy circled over the light sky blue eyes, the pupil grew elongated like an animal. He breathed in briefly and his pupils returned to being round. And he slowly turned his body around to face the knight. A penetrating gaze glared at the knight. ¡°What did you say just now?¡± The knight trembled with a completely different look then before. The knight replied hesitantly. ¡°Oh, Lord Abelrod¡¡and if you put your name as collateral, the Tower master will approve the dispatch¡¡¡± After a long silence, Vermon finally opened his lips. ¡°Fayran Abelrod¡¯s name?¡± ¡°That¡¯s right.¡± Vermon was lost in thought for a moment. He soon groaned clicking his tongue and with no choice spoke out bitterly. ¡°I¡¯ll accept your request for dispatch.¡± ¡°¡¡!!¡± In front of the knights who opened their eyes, Vermont added gravely. ¡°I¡¯ll send to you the best wizard.¡± *** Left alone, Lucia tapped at an hourglass that was floating on the desk. ¡®Is this really a real tower??¡¯ Lucia had never actually seen the tower in her life. She just heard stories about it from the imperial wizards. ¡®I heard it was a tower that was so high that the top reached past the clouds.¡¯ The wide window behind the desk ended up catching her eyes. A cool breeze was blowing through the half-opened window. Lucia often ran up piles of books, scrambling over them, and now climbing this pile to reach the window. As soon as she stepped forward by the window paws at the edge, Lucia froze. Outside the window, a vast land was spread out under the distant view. ¡®Ahhhhhhhhh¡¡¡¯ The height she¡¯s never experienced in her life was so high that she was dazzled in amazement. If she would fall from this height, she would become a mass of dust, as Vermon liked to call her. Her legs were trembling. ¡®I guess it really is a real tower.¡¯ It was when Lucia was looking down the window with her breathless eyes. She heard a dreary voice from behind her. ¡°Dust ball.¡± ¡°Kook!¡± Surprised, Lucia raised her front feet making a strange sound. A silver ray of light held Lucia aloft and kept her away from the window. ¡°Are you crazy? If you fall from here, there¡¯s not even going to be any dust left!¡± An irritated voice stuck loudly in her ear. Lucia looked up, holding her beating heart in surprise. Vermon snorted at the round eyes she was making. ¡°What a little thing¡¡¡± However, unlike his harsh words, he hugged Lucia tightly with his hands. ¡°Let¡¯s go back to where your father is.¡± Yes, let¡¯s! A bright light surrounded the two at the sound of fingers flicking out. It was a mobile magic that she was now quite familiar with. After the light died down, Lucia opened her eyes. ¡°¡¡?¡± And she blinked her eyes for a moment. The magic circle took them to the front of the Great Wall of the Grand Duke¡¯s castle. It¡¯s a great castle, but¡¡it was surrounded by a completely different atmosphere than before. The knights in armor were heavily armed and lined up. The silver armor glittered bright in the sunlight. While looking around in embarrassment, Lucia gulped in heavy breaths. A blue flying knife was placed against Vermon¡¯s neck. It brushed past Lucia with precision, right in front of her neck. ¡°Vermon.¡± A soft yet sharp voice called out to Vermon. Vermon crumpled his face and looked towards the owner of the sword. ¡°If you were taking your sister, you should have told someone.¡± Lanore said with a grin. ¡°Dad was surprised.¡± AHHH brother you¡¯re so mean sneaking off with your little sister without letting dad know. Look how worried he was he had set up a contingent around the castle cuz she done went poof! Chapter 7 However, even as he said so, Lanore didn¡¯t seem surprised in the least. Vermon also had a blade on his neck, but he too didn¡¯t look very surprised. Rather, he waved his hand out as if he was annoyed. A silver streak pushed the sword away. Vermon said with a crooked smile. ¡°This brother has a little sibling.¡± Lucia, who was listening blankly, opened her mouth. ¡®Oppa? Oppa, ahhhh!¡¯ Come to think of it, when he had kidnapped Lucia, he said he was her brother. It was such a chaotic situation at the time, so she thought it was utter bullshit, so she let it go¡¡ But it was truly real. Lanore swung the sword gracefully and slid it back into his scabbard. Lanore, who placed the sword back with a click, looked up at the Knights of the Grand Duchy. ¡°If you were a little later, I would have destroyed the tower.¡± Vermon flinched as his shoulders trembled at the threat. But soon, he answered confidently. ¡°¡¡Have you any idea what kind of toy tower the tower is?¡± ¡°Of course is my son not the owner of the toy tower.¡± (TL Note: Yes they keep actually saying Toy¡) Lanore whispered so that Vermon could hear everything. ¡°Our little baby. Just tell your dad. He didn¡¯t do anything, did he? Hmm?¡± Lucia was so bad that she stuck her nose out. She¡¯s sure she did something instead to Vermon, but it was all a little vague. Anyway, as a result, she ate a lot of fruits and managed to come back safely. ¡°A lump of dust! Seria would be saddened to hear that.¡± ¡°Kang!¡± Lucia cried as if she sympathized with Lanore¡¯s words. It looked like a baby bird pouting after a mother bird. Vermon wiggled the corners of his mouth when he saw Lucia. However, he immediately cleared up his face and snapped back. ¡°Oh, why didn¡¯t you come when the Emperor died again?¡± Lanore¡¯s smile deepened when he was sarcastic. ¡°That¡¯s what it is.¡± Lanore gestured to the knights who were standing behind him. The knights moved and brought forth a white horse. ¡°A little bit of talking on the way.¡± Lanore easily jumped on the horse. He said with a grin. ¡°Shall we talk on the battlefield for the rest of it?¡± Vermon blinked. He asked back a beat later. ¡°¡¡Yes?¡± *** Vermon was taken to Lanore and they all headed for the Ice Wall. Lucia came into Eden¡¯s hands and was brought into the safe Great Wall Castle. ¡°He¡¯ll be back this evening.¡± As if this situation was very familiar to them, Eden explained it to Lucia. ¡°You never skip meals, so they¡¯ll be right back in time.¡± Just as Eden had spoken, the two Shinsus returned exactly in the evening. Lanore smiled as if flowers were about to pour out as he found Lucia. ¡°Lucia!¡± ¡°¡¡¡± Vermon followed behind Lanore with a look of discontentment on his face and shut his mouth. Lucia, who was waiting on top of the table in advance, waved her front feet to pretend she knew. The table was full of food for the two Shinsus who must have become hungry during their battle. (Daddy has to beat a bit of life out of his son for the sake of his baby girl. Even as the brother no one is immune to punishment for daring foxnap the baby.) Vermon dragged the table chair out and flopped down miserably. He was so exhausted that he mumbled, putting butter and jam on the bread. ¡°This¡¡ is exploitation¡¡¡± Lanore replied to him while gracefully cutting the meat. ¡°I¡¯m going to lend the money you borrowed to fix the tower.¡± ¡°Wasn¡¯t it all paid off!?¡± ¡°There¡¯s interest.¡± ¡°¡¡¡± Vermon was shaking and eating bread sulkingly. Lanore smiled mischievously at the sight of Vermon, who was destroying the bread soaked in his tears. ¡°So we didn¡¯t even say hello to each other.¡± Lanore said, putting the pieces of cut meat in Lucia¡¯s mouth. ¡°Say hello, this is your sister, Luenstella. she¡¯s called ¡®Lucia¡¯ for short.¡± Lucia chewed the meat and looked at Vermon. When she heard that he was her older brother, she was certainly not unfamiliar with his features. His soft blue eyes, that were as clear as a river, resembled her mother Seria. The face that was made up of fine lines looked like Lanore. Lucia was looking at the Vermon in a curious mood, and he opened his lips. ¡°It¡¯s Vermon.¡± The very dry self-introduction of only his name was all he did. Lucia hesitated a little, and then raised her foot in front of him politely in greeting. It was as if she was saying, ¡®It¡¯s nice to meet you.¡¯ Vermon looked down at Lucia¡¯s small foot that was held out. The fluffy front feet seemed to be clumped together with little dandelion seeds as paw pads. He gently grabbed Lucia¡¯s tiny feet with his index finger and thumb. Then he lifted the small paw as if he were shaking hands. ¡°Nice to meet you. Lucia.¡± Lucia replied to him. ¡°Kiang.¡± At first, she thought that he was scary and strange. ¡®But even though the horse is cold, I think the action is straightforward.¡¯ It was Vermon that was grumpy but did everything he could in such a way. He nodded by himself, and Vermon took a sip of wine and opened his mouth. ¡°Have you heard anything about Peiran lately?¡± Lanore¡¯s hand using the knife stopped cutting. He asked back with a frown. ¡°¡¡Peiran Abelrod?¡± Lucia also pricked up her ears. The name she heard for the first time in a long time came into her ears. In her old memories, emotionless gray eyes came to mind. The man with his hand on his chest and one knee on the ground was talking at Ianel. ¨C I¡¯m Peiran Abelrod, in charge of escorting the Imperial Princess as of today. Peiran Abelrod was a knight that belonged to the Imperial Palace Knights. He had no high status, no wealth, no patronage to back him up. He joined the Imperial Palace with only one sword He joined the division. But exactly three months later. There was no one in the palace who didn¡¯t know his name. The Imperial Palace Knights were full of many great knights. Obviously breathing the same air and being in the same space, she didn¡¯t feel like they were together at all. Iannel could never trust Peiran. And it seemed to be the same with Peiran. ¨C I want to go to the Southern Front. Please allow me. After working as a guard for a year. Peiran asked Iannel to allow him leave to go play. Iannel thought there was something to come and wanted to watch. In the first place, he was too good a knight to remain only as a mere escort for the only princess. So Iannel allowed Peiran to play. After returning to the Imperial Palace Knights, Peiran went straight to the southern front. The dry and awkward master-knight relationship ended in vain. Peiran led the war to victory with numerous contributions on the southern front. Soon after, his name was followed by the modifier Roachim First Knight. And to encourage the armistice, the Pope visited the Southern Front himself. Peiran¡¯s life was completely reversed. The Pope fell in love with Peiran¡¯s skills at a glance. (OMG I thought was gonna have a BL moment lol till I tl¡¯ed the ¡®skills¡¯ bit {super sus}) It was at the time when the head of the ¡°Sungjeon Division¡±, the Pope¡¯s immediate escort division, resigned due to some unsavory matters. The pope offered Peiran to take charge of the Holy Knights Division. At first, Peiran refused the request. However, after the pope¡¯s earnest request, he eventually became the commander of the Knights¡¯ Missionary Division. It was very unusual to hire a knight from outside the Vatican. However, Peiran was a coveted talent, with the conservative Vatican willing to take the risk for his abilities. The Roachim Empire said it would wait for Peiran to return at any time, and promised to give him a high title when he returns to the Imperial Palace Knights. He had become a huge figure that both the Royal Family and the Vatican coveted. And while Peiran was on his way, Iannel had never met him face to face in all that time. Every once in a while, they heard all the news. ¡°Why all of a sudden?¡± Lanore narrowed his eyes and asked Vermon. ¡°The Knight that came to reveal the injustice of the Imperial Princess¡¡¡± Vermon narrowed his eyes and said, ¡°Peiran¡¯s name was used as his own collateral.¡± ¡°¡¡Ha?¡± Lanore burst out laughing as if he were full of energy. Lanore was not the only one who was surprised. Lucia flicked her ears several times, wondering if she had heard it wrong. ¡®What¡¯s wrong with him?¡¯ Their relationship only lasted for only a year, and it was all about being a mandatory escort knight. She couldn¡¯t believe Peiran actually went out to prove her innocence. No matter how much she thought about it, she couldn¡¯t figure out the reason. While Lucia is confused, she uses her fingers to cross the table. Lanore, who had been tapping each other, opened his mouth. ¡°Then I heard a rumor while I was out in the woods.¡± Lanore said with his head tilted slightly sideways. ¡°Peiran¡¯s gone crazy.¡± Chapter 8 Episode 8 Lucia fell into an even greater confusion. ¡®Me, I¡¯m crazy¡¡?¡¯ (TL note: I feel like this was supposed to be ¡®Peiren, he¡¯s crazy¡¯. But in the raws it goes ¡®me¡¯ so a bit weird, carrying on.) She couldn¡¯t figure out what was going on. Lanore narrowed his eyes and murmured. ¡°It sounds like a credible rumor if it¡¯s coming from you. We know what it means to swear on names¡¡¡± His voice was heavy, blurring at the end of his speech. Vermon said, nervously while lowering his glass. ¡°I¡¯m sure you¡¯re out of your mind.¡± The two men continued, ¡°I should meet Peiran.¡± Lucia, who was listening in seriously, narrowed her eyes. ¡®But these two, are you close to Peiran?¡¯ It¡¯s been a strange friendly tone going on since earlier. Rune Hilt¡¯s tower mages could have met him on the southern front. But the Grand Duke of Elharan had no form of contact. Not to mention he didn¡¯t participate in the southern front under the pretext of defending the ice wall. There were the only things she couldn¡¯t understand. She wanted to ask all sorts of questions in which she was curious about, but she was so frustrated being unable to speak. Lucia wriggled her feet with a weak cry. ¡°Kiaang¡¡¡± The noise caused Vermon to turn to Lucia immediately. Peeking at her and laughing, he asked Lanore. ¡°But is it okay to take her out already? Seems as if it¡¯s been less than a week since it hatched.¡± ¡°One month.¡± ¡°¡¡¡± Vermon opened his eyes wide. He looked down at Lucia with a stiff face. Lucia twisted her front paw for no reason at the dark look of Vermon. She knew that she was much slower in growth than other average Shinsus. But Vermon was getting so serious. She was suddenly worried. ¡®Is there something wrong with me, too?¡¯ At that time, Lanore used his big hand to stroke down her head so that Lucia¡¯s ears were pressed down. It was a hand filled with a warm temperature and moderate weight. Lucia looked up at Lanore. Her long eyes bent gently. ¡°If it¡¯s small, then it¡¯s growth will be small. What can I do?¡± (Remember mommy Seria and daddy Lenore had a really hard time trying to have her so being tiny for a bit longer just makes her that much more lovable!) Vermon, who was looking at Lucia with complicated eyes, flicked his finger without saying a word. A plate of fruit appeared in Vermon¡¯s hand with a flash of bright light. Vermon plopped the plate down in front of Lucia. ¡°Eat more, dustball.¡± The sweet smell made her mouth water. (I scream you scream, we all scream for¡ FRUIT, cuz Lucia only eats fruits. Pfft) Lucia ate fruit gleefully. ¡°Anyway, by the way¡¡I¡¯m going to the capital, Vermon.¡± ¡°Are you going to empty the Great Wall again?¡± When Vermon frowned, Lanore shook the knife and laughed. ¡°His Highness the Crown Prince wants you to show your face.¡± *** Carhen de Roachim was one of the most acclaimed emperors of the Roachim Empire in its history and was praised for the prosperity he brought forth. After Carhen ascended the throne the era of peace and gold had come to the Roahim Empire. The people of the country all deeply loved and respected him. Year 892 in Spring of the imperial calendar. The news of the sudden death of the emperor turned the Roahim Empire upside down. But that wasn¡¯t the only shocking news. It has been revealed that the one who killed the emperor was the Imperial Princess Ianel. (FAKE NEWS) Information was released that she killed the emperor and then committed suicide. The news greatly shocked the people of her country. The emperor¡¯s funeral was held in unprecedented splendor and grandeur. The funeral procession was followed by a long mourning period by the people of the Empire. The emperor¡¯s coffin, which toured the entire capital, was buried in the land of rest where the royal family was buried. After which the Roahim Empire welcomed its new emperor. It was Prince Agris de Roachim. However, the Crown Prince¡¯s coronation was to be held three years after the Emperor¡¯s memorial period. (Lucia you have 3 years to clear up your murder!!) ¡°According to reports from the South, there¡¯s nothing that will raise any concerns.¡± In the main conference room, in which the atmosphere was calmly subdued, a political meeting was still underway again today. The period of changing emperors, all the more attention had to be paid to the movements of other countries adjacent to the border. Prince Agris nodded as he checked over the report he received. ¡°I don¡¯t think we have to worry about the border¡¡ what¡¯s happening with Rune Hilt?¡± ¡°We still haven¡¯t seen the Tower owner.¡± The faces of the nobles and Agris were completely hardened. The empire had built a good relationship with the Tower Rune Hills. In order for the new regime to be established by Agris to remain unwavering, it was important to maintain stable relations with the Tower. (When Vermon learns that you killed the past life of his baby dustball you think he¡¯s gonna support you? Pfft!) The problem was that the owner of the Tower had recently refused to meet anyone. Rumors have also been circulating that the tower was being emptied. For a moment, Agris, who was lost in thought contemplating, slowly opened his mouth. ¡°Let¡¯s wait a little longer first.¡± The meeting continued for a long time. After wrapping up the exhausting meeting, the Prince left first. The nobles rose from their chairs, organizing themselves one by one. The Minister of State approached Count Matien and talked to him. ¡°Well done, Count Matien.¡± ¡°No, it¡¯s more difficult for the Minister of State.¡± They were some of the nobles who were busy with the sudden change of the imperial power. The Minister of State simply answered back with a long sigh. ¡°The most disturbing thing is the Crown Prince. He lost all of his family overnight.¡± Count Matien murmured to himself. ¡°¡¡Yes. That would be normal.¡± ¡°What?¡± ¡°Nothing.¡± Count Matien looked at the back of the departing prince, who was getting farther away. After leaving the conference hall, knights and servants followed behind the Crown Prince. ¡®You seem too calm for someone who just lost their father and sister overnight.¡¯ Count Matien, who was staring at him, suddenly made eye contact with the crown prince looking back. Looking at the count bowing in a hurry, Agris smiled slightly. And he led his servants to the Imperial Palace. Recently, Agris moved from the Crown Prince¡¯s Palace to the Imperial Palace. When Agris, who was heading to the office, stopped, the servants stopped altogether. His eyes glanced around a long hallway connecting the main palace to the imperial princess palace. The palace of Imperial Princess Ianel was located next to the main palace. Up until a month ago, through this hallway, the father and daughter used to visit each other¡¯s palaces. Agris, who was staring into the hallway, opened his mouth. ¡°I¡¯ll walk alone.¡± The servants, who had been watching and waiting, bowed their heads and quietly stepped down. Only the escort guards remained and followed the emperor with a long distance. The sound of Agris¡¯ footsteps echoed quietly down the hall. Beyond the arch window of the hallway, the sun shone on the palace. It was obtained by the blood of the Emperor and Imperial Princess, the grass soaked in the dark night. Now all the traces had disappeared and it was filled with bright flowers. ¡°¡¡¡± After stopping for a while and looking at the garden, Agris moved back. He soon arrived in front of the palace. Some of the nobles strongly argued that the palace should be demolished. The palace of the murderer cannot be left alone. In the end, however, it was decided against demolishing the palace. The knights and maids, standing in front of both gates that were delicately engraved with almond flowers, bowed their heads hurriedly. ¡°We see the Crown Prince.¡± The knights opened the door wide on both sides. When Agris stepped in, a cheerful voice greeted him. ¡°Oh, my Majesty. Is the meeting over?¡± The brown-haired woman smiled as she curled her eyes round. Her name, Bianche Roachim. (AHHHHHH begone I don¡¯t like this villainess YEET) She was the crown princess (Empress) of the Roahim Empire. Bianche, a princess of Sarayant, married Agris a few months ago and took the throne of the Crown Princess. She would soon be the empress and became the most precious woman in the entire empire. Bianche rose from a soft sofa and approached Agris. ¡°I stopped by because I was almost finished with the cleanup now, I¡¯m going to move to this place from tomorrow.¡± The imperial palace has now been transformed into a separate palace for Bianche Roahim, the crown prince¡¯s wife. It was the result of Bianche¡¯s pleading with her father, the Duke of Sarayent and the Crown Prince. As she enjoyed the sunshine that followed the huge window, she continued her words quietly. ¡°What a bright and beautiful palace! I¡¯ve always wanted it.¡± It was the palace where the emperor himself paid close attention to his beloved daughter. However, the portrait of Ianel that had been hanging on the fireplace had been torn away for a long time. It¡¯s replacement was a bright, smiling portrait of Bianche that took its place. The sofa that Ianel used to sit on in her past life, and the decorative venue filled with jewels given to her by the emperor. All of it has become Bianche¡¯s. ¡°In the first place, it was too much for just the princess.¡± Bianche complained, ¡°Whenever I saw her, she was so mean that I couldn¡¯t stand her.¡± She smiled sweetly at Agris. ¡°In the end she died, so it¡¯s a good thing.¡± Bianche danced around the center of the sun-filled room. The hem of her dress puffed up like a flower. Bianche, who burst into laughter, shouted brightly. ¡°It¡¯s all mine now!¡± I need me some mommy Seria already I need that mommy beating up Vermon for foxnapping our darling Lucia. Daddy already dealt with the unruly son now is mommy¡¯s turn
