 1 The Start Of A New Life

    Hello, my name is Michael West. I am 16 years old and I live in New York City. My mother is the only one who raised me till I grew up and my 4 other siblings. We live in a simple home in a simple neighborhood.


    Right now I am really angry because my girlfriend just dumped me over some douchebag. That douchebag has been bullying me since middle school and I don''t know what is wrong with her mind but she still decided to go with that douchebag instead of me.


    I mean, I''m not really that good looking. I have black hair that covers my left eye, eyes the same color as the sky, and my turtleneck long sleeve. I am 160 Pounds and my height is 5''10.


    Definitely not good looking...I think.


    Anyway, today I am going to buy a box of ice cream in the convenience store. Don''t look at me like that, I''m not going to eat ice cream while I cry like a sad idiot. Totally not.


    I went inside the convenience store and bought an ice cream branded by Selecta.


    So after putting the thing in the cashier and bought it, I walk out of the convenience store with a box of ice cream in my hands.


    This is a town, so there were not many cars around here. That''s why I can walk in the middle of the street without anyone killing me, no not even truck-kun.


    There were many people in the street, young, old, women, men, Mexican, Black, Asian. Almost all of the races in the USA are here.


    I am quite proud of myself for not being a racist, I don''t know why, but you know, small achievements is always great to have.


    I walked in the middle of the street to go back to my mother''s house when suddenly a bullet lodged into the right side of my head.


    I immediately fell to the left side of the ground and bled on the right side of my head.


    ''Huh? Who shot me? And why would he shoot me?'' I asked in my mind.


    Sadly, that was my last thoughts as I perished right in the middle of the street. Of course, many people crowded right beside me and called 911 but it is already too late, I am already dead.

    In the middle of a plain full of green emerald grass surrounded by millions of trees under the light of the hot and scorching sun, you can see a young man around the age of 16, naked, while laying on the soft and dirty ground full of grass.


    His eyelids started twitching before it opened widely. He immediately got up from the ground like he was panicking.


    (Michael POV)


    I looked around and saw that I am in the middle of a forest with nothing on my body. Literally nothing, I am basically naked.


    Wait...Didn''t I got shot in the head by someone? Why am I alive then? And where the fuck is my clothes!?


    Suddenly his head started aching. A bunch of unknown memories entered his head.


    After a few minutes, I was able to remember this guy''s memories. This is not my body. Yes, you heard it right, this is not my goddamn body.


    This guy''s name is Adalius Navarel. Like me, he has been bullied by other people and just recently his fiance was stolen by a guy named Alphonsus Ellsworth.


    The reason why he was in the middle of this goddamn forest is because they were in the middle of a mission to kill a Minotaur but they later found out that it was an aberrant.


    Apparently, this world used to be like my previous earth, but that all changed when mythological monsters suddenly appeared out of nowhere and invaded the human populations.


    In just a single month, the human population was reduced to just 5 percent of its original numbers, while the mythological monsters continued to increase at an alarming rate.


    Nothing seems worked against these monsters, even the nuclear bomb could only kill a few of them and the rest just continued to kill more humans.


    The government was in their wit''s end when a scientist proposed an idea to them.


    The scientist said "Give me thirty thousand trained soldiers and I shall capture one of them, for us to create and experiment a natural enemy for them"


    The government was skeptical at first but the president at that time agreed to his proposal and sent 30,000 trained soldiers by his side.


    The scientist led the soldiers to capture some of those monsters.


    In the end, they were only able to capture 2 while the only soldiers left after the mission was only around 454.


    They lost many men but the scientist successfully experimented on the two mythological monsters and was able to create a weapon.


    The reason why modern weapons don''t work against these monsters is because of a spherical core inside of their body, that serves as their heart.


    Those cores can detect anything harmful to its host and they release a thin layer of force field around their skin, that can protect them from any human-made projectiles or weapons.


    After the Scientist created the weapon, he decided to call a test subject so that he can test it on him.


    The weapon can be anything, a sword, spear, bow, gun, claymore, etc. The one that the scientists made is a gun.


    But when the test subject first touched it, the weapon produced a pair of black tentacles and it wrapped around his wrist before he suddenly started puking blood and later, he died.


    They later found out, it was because the weapon rejected the guy and that''s why it killed him. They also found out, there is a certain requirement to wield this weapon. They had to have a certain type of blood.


    After a thousand tries of putting the weapon on various hands, they were finally able to find a perfect match for the weapon.


    They saw his physical strength and agility increased after equipping the weapon. The Scientist was very fascinated by this discovery and he decided to see if this weapon can kill a mythical monster.


    So he ordered test subject 1001 to kill a mythical monster. The test subject obeyed and after a while, he singlehandedly killed a Harpy but the core was destroyed inside it when it was brought back to the lab.


    Scientists were enraged and asked why did he not bring the core intact.


    The test subject replied and they were terrified when they heard his explanation.


    The cores had to be destroyed for the monster to be permanently killed.


    This means they could not kill and take the core inside the mythical monsters without destroying the core.


    But the test subject suddenly said to them that the monster can be killed without destroying the core but they have to take it outside of their body for it to work.


    The Scientist was overjoyed when he heard that and quickly created a paralyzing poison that can only work against the mythical monsters.


    And so, the test subject was able to capture many monster cores and the scientist was able to create many weapons that served as humanity''s last hope.


    They named the host of the weapon and the weapon: God Slayers and God Arc.


    The scientist and the test subject was hailed as the heroes of humanity.


    But there is one tiny problem with the God Arc, once the holder of the weapon became weak, the core inside the weapon will devour him/her and make them one of the mythical monsters.

 2 God Why!?

    The core inside the God Arc can take over its wielder once the wielder is weakened, that is the disadvantage of the God Arc. Once you get taken over by the core, you will become what mythical monster it was before. Like if you have the core of a Werewolf in your God Arc, you will become a werewolf once you get taken over by the core.


    I sweated a lot behind my back and in my face, because this forest is inhabited by many mythical monsters, according to this guy''s memories.


    I suddenly got an idea, this guy is supposed to be a God Slayer and that means, he has a God Arc.


    I looked around for his God Arc and I saw it 20 meters away from me. It was a Greatsword. I couldn''t see it''s appearance because it was far away.


    I ran straight to the Greatsword. When I finally reached it, I noticed that my body is a lot stronger than before. I feel like I can take on 10 bears without even sweating.


    I looked at the Greatsword and saw its appearance clearly.


    From tip to handle, it is approximately five to six feet long, with a single-edged large blade approximately one foot wide. The blade is a lighter color on the bladed edge, while the rest of the blade is dark gray, and the handguard appears to be bolted or riveted into place. There are two holes near the handguard that seems to be there just for the design.


    It seems like this Adalius Navarel got killed by the Minotaur after being left behind by his teammates. His teammates were a bit of a pussy.


    He died bravely while fighting the Minotaur while his teammates returned to the City Of Hope, the city where Humans from all over the world gathered there.


    I looked around for any monsters and took a sigh of relief when I didn''t see any.


    I picked up the greatsword with my right hand by its handle before I I lifted it and put it on top of my right shoulder to look more awesome.


    The greatsword is heavy though, the weight is around 120 Kilograms but somehow I can lift it up with ease. It must be because of my God Arc. Yes, I already claimed it as my God Arc.


    [Initializing Oppressive System...Done.]


    [Welcome Host to the Oppressive System]


    Huh? Huh!? A system!? I have that!? Holy Shit! So fucking cool! With the system in my possession, I will be able to achieve-


    He was cut off of his thoughts when the System spoke to him.


    [Possession? Please don''t degrade me with such an insulting word. I am the Oppressive System and I am the only one who can possess you, host]


    "Eh?" I blurted out in confusion.


    [The Oppressive System is where you will get oppressed by me, the system. And you will finish every mission I give you without a single hitch, you got me?]


    "What!? I''m not going to do that! I''d rather go out of this forest without a system!" I angrily said after I heard what it said.


    [Too bad! I have already been bonded to your soul, that''s why you can''t get rid of me or else you will die and your soul will be destroyed too]


    "Fuck! Okay, since you are already bonded with me, then tell me if there is anything you have that will benefit me of having you" I just accepted my fate and asked the system.


    [Of course, there is, who do you think I am? Once you have a mission completed from me, you will be able to earn ''Mission Points'' and with that, you will be able to buy items inside the shop. My shop has all the items in the universe, they are only waiting for you to purchase them]


    I drooled so hard when I heard that.


    "Hey, do you have a starting pack or something?" I asked the system.


    [Yes, it is in your inventory but you will only be able to access the inventory once you have entered the Mortal Flesh refining realm]


    "Huh? Mortal Flesh Refining realm? Are we in a wuxia world or something?" Right now, I am very confused.


    [Host, you can''t own a system without cultivating, right?]


    "Alright, but I don''t know how to cultivate, what are you gonna do about that huh?" I said smugly.


    [Don''t worry about that, here is the manual]


    Huh? Where is it? I looked around but I didn''t find it.


    [Host, look above you]


    I did as the system told and I look up before I saw a thin like book hovering above me. I tried to reach it with my greatsword but it didn''t work, so I put my God Arc down and tried to reach it with my hands but it still didn''t work.


    Suddenly, the Manual hovering up in the air fell on top of my face.


    "Ouch!" I bent my head down and rubbed my face with my hands.


    The Manual fell to the ground after bouncing off my face.


    I picked it up and read the title.


    How To Cultivate For Dummies


    "Better than nothing I guess" I shrugged before I started reading it.


    -2 Hours Later-


    After two hours of reading that stupid book, I finally was able to cultivate.


    "Alright, now that I finished reading the damn thing, it is time for me to cultivate," I said after reading the whole manual.


    I was about to cultivate when a holographic pad appeared in front of me.


    [Mission


    Name: Beginning Of Cultivation


    Mission Description: Enter the Low Mortal Flesh Refining by the end of the day.


    Reward: You will be able to unlock the Inventory and receive your started pack.


    Failure: You will be castrated permanently]


    My mouth started twitching as I finished reading the mission given to me by the system.


    "Fuck! Does that mean you will castrate my little brother if I don''t finish this mission!?" I shouted at the system as I held my little brother out of fear.


    [Yes, once you fail this mission, I will castrate you myself]


    Fuck! Isn''t this system too malicious? God why did you give me this system?! I''m gonna die!!

 3 Slender Limbs

    Even though I am extremely afraid of the system nevertheless I cultivated to reach the Mortal Flesh Refining realm for the system not to castrate me.


    There are five different cultivation realm and each one is separated by 4 small realms, Low, Mid, High, and Peak.


    The higher you go in cultivation, the harder it is to advance. Mortal Flesh Refining realm is easy when you are a beginner but once you enter the 2nd realm, Soul Forming, it will become much, much harder to advance.


    To become a Low Mortal Flesh Refining realm, you first have to sense Qi in your vicinity. Once you have successfully sense Qi, you will have to guide it to your dantian through your mouth or nose. And when you have finished guiding the Qi into your dantian, you will now have to spread it to and refine your entire body, Hence the name Mortal Flesh Refining.


    That is what exactly Michael is doing right now as he sat in a lotus position in the fresh patch of grass in the middle of the plains.


    -4 Hours Later-


    Boom!


    A booming sound came from his dantian, thus confirming him that he has broken through the Low Mortal Flesh Refining realm.


    Michael opened his eyes before he smiled widely and celebrated.


    "Woohoo! I''m not going to get castrated now!" I celebrated while dancing around like a total dumb motherfucker.


    The system''s voice sounded inside my head and a holographic pad appeared in front me.


    [You have successfully completed the mission! Please receive your rewards in your inventory]


    He checked his inventory and there he found it, the precious Starter Pack.


    It looked like a normal gift box from Christmas.


    He took out the Starter Pack from his inventory before he opened it.


    Inside it, he found three items. A manual, a pair of fresh clothes, and a card.


    He first took out the card as he was quite curious about it.


    There were no pictures nor any other words on it except the number 3000 on it.


    He then asked the system.


    "Hey system, what is this card?"


    The system responded inside his mind.


    [It is an MP Card, which stands for Mission Points, the number on the card is how much MP you can redeem in the system]


    "This means I can redeem 3,000 MP on the system?" Michael asked.


    [Yes]


    "Shit! Can you please redeem it?" Michael asked before the card suddenly vanished and disappeared in the endless...starry night?


    He looked up and saw that the skies were already dark, no, not only that, every surrounding has already turned dark!!


    "Fuck!" He did not notice that it was already dark because he was busy celebrating.


    "Shit! The night is the worse time in this world according to this guy''s memories!" Michael cursed as he felt extremely stupid not to noticed it was already dark.


    Because in this world, some dangerous mythical creatures roam the land outside of the city. And on top of that, there are many creepy mythical monsters in the forest, like the Chupacabra, Werewolves, Aswang, and many, many more.


    Michael trembled in fear as he was surrounded by trees in the middle of the plains under the lunar light of the moon.


    The plains are surrounded by millions of dark and creepy trees, Michael never thought that a night like this would come to his goddamn life. Imagine being stranded in the middle of a plain surrounded by millions of trees in the middle of the night without any clothes, naked. Terrifying huh?


    Michael quickly put on the clothes he got from the Starter Pack. It was only a pair of black t-shirt and black shorts.


    He looked around his surroundings to see if there were any monsters when suddenly he glanced at a single tree and behind it is a tall, thin, white man wearing a black suit and a tie. He had no face on his head, absolutely blank.


    Michael almost fainted when he saw the scariest fictional character, Slender Limbs!


    "Aaaaaaahh! What the fuck is wrong with this world!!!??" Michael quickly picked up his greatsword and ran away from his location before heading to the dark and creepy forest without any hesitation. A really, really bad move.


    (Michael POV)


    I need to run! That monster is still watching me from my behind, faster, FASTER!


    Huh? I''m a lot faster than before, is it because I advanced to Low Mortal Flesh Refining realm? Wait! Don''t I have a God Arc!? I can fight those things, why am I running away from them?


    (End POV)


    When he realized that, he stopped running and he turned around to face Slender Limbs.


    Michael saw him behind a tree with his six dark tentacles coming out of his back.


    When Slender Limbs noticed him not running, a large slit across the lower part of his face appeared before the slit opened and he roared.


    "Roaaaaar!" The Slender Limbs roared at Michael before it teleported right in front of him.


    Michael''s pupils dilated when he suddenly saw Slender Limbs appearing in front of him.


    The monster raised its long, sickly, thin arms before it brought it downwards with a huge amount of force behind it towards Michael''s head.


    Michael raised his Greatsword upwards where the attack was coming and used it as a shield to block the attack.


    Bang!!


    When the attack hit the greatsword, Michael, who was under the God Arc, got push back a few meters away from his original position.


    "Gah, so strong" Michael grunted in pain as he felt the impact of the attack traveling from his God Arc to his arms.


    The Slender limbs quickly reacted and used its black tentacles to attack Michael again.


    But this time, Michael carried the God Arc with one hand and slashed the tentacles apart.


    "Raaaaah" The Slender limbs mad a horrible shriek as it felt its black tentacles being slashed apart.


    "Chance!" Michael took this opportunity and ran towards the monster before cutting the monster through its waist, using his God Arc.


    The Slender limbs were cut in half as it shrieks more loudly than before...


    "Raaaaaaaaaahh!!"


    Even though the Slender limbs are cut in half, it is still alive because of the core inside its body.


    Michael was about to destroy the orb inside its body when the system announced a mission.


    [Mission


    Name: Take the core


    Mission Description: Take the core outside the Slender Limbs body and give it to the system.


    Reward: 5,000 MP


    Failure: Permanent removal of your God Arc]


    "At least it is not about taking my dick away and this is practically easy as shit," Michael said in confidence.


    He looked at the shrieking Slender limbs, who was already cut in half, before bending down and he used his God Arc to cut the upper body open.


    The Slender Limbs continued screaming louder and louder as Michael dug his hands in the cutting part of its upper body.


    Michael was extremely disgusted as he dug his hands in the inner body of the Slender Limbs until he was finally able to get the Core outside of its body.


    The Slender Limbs instantly died after its core was taken out of its body.

 4 Light Of Hope

    Ding


    [You have successfully completed the mission given to you by the system, your reward will be seen in the shop screen]


    Michael immediately gave the core to the system after carving it out of the Slender Limbs and I tell you, it was really disgusting.


    Michael stared at the dark and creepy night before he decided to make or at least find a shelter for him to stay the night in.


    But in the endless forest like this one, the possibility of it having a shelter is almost as good as getting strike by a bolt of lightning. In short, it is almost impossible.


    He decided to just wander the night because, even if he builds a house he will still not be safe, why? The monsters can still keep destroying it, so he can just go and wander the dark and creepy forest at night.


    As he was about to walk away from the Slender Limbs corpse, he heard a rustling sound coming from behind.


    He quickly turned around with his God Arc in his right hand, ready to take action anytime.


    Behind bushes you can not see anything besides total darkness, so Michael has a hard time finding out what is behind the bush.


    Michael''s face quickly turned serious as he awaited the arrival of another mythical monster.


    Suddenly, a white hunchback humanoid figure shot out behind the bushes. Michael followed it with his line of sight until it finally landed 5 meters away from him.


    It was a Chupacabra! Michael suddenly felt fear as he felt the aura of the monster in front of him. It was dangerous like it was waiting for something.


    Even though Michael was able to kill the Slender Limbs, he is still a teen from the normal and peaceful earth, so he is not adept in this kind of situation.


    "KreeKreeKree" The Chupacabra creepily made a sound with its blood-covered mouth.


    The Chupacabra is the size of a small bear, with a row of spines reaching from the neck to the base of the tail.


    Suddenly, the Chupacabra screech.


    "Kreeeeeeeee!!" The monster hopped like a kangaroo as it charged at the direction of Michael in a speed no normal humans can follow.


    Michael quickly readied his God Arc to block the incoming attack when the Chupacabra just hopped passed by him, ignoring him.


    "Eh?" He is confused as to why the Chupacabra just ignored him. He turned his head to where the Chupacabra was and saw that it was only trying to catch a goat.


    The Chupacabra looked at him like he was an idiot before taking off with the goat in its hands while sucking some blood from it from time to time.


    "I just remembered that Chupacabras only eat livestock animals like that goat, there were never any reported attacks on the humans by the chupacabra" Michael cupped his hands as he figured it out.


    Michael heaved a sigh of relief and said "Thankfully it didn''t attack me, or else I''d be having a hard time fighting it"


    That is true because the chupacabra he saw is extremely fast and fighting a fast opponent is always hard to do.


    In this world, there are not only vicious and beastly mythical monsters, but there are also many kind and giving mythical creatures. The humans were only able to figure this out after creating hundreds of God Arcs given to hundreds of God Slayers. But unfortunately, many of these kind and giving creatures were killed by many vicious humans, either for enjoyment or for consuming. Humans never change, even if you throw them into an apocalyptic era, they are the same worthless creatures as before.


    The Pixies and many other wondrous mythical creatures got into hiding because of the looming threats of both sides, the vicious mythical monsters, and the reviving humanity.


    Michael looks around for any threats before he deemed himself safe. He decided to climb the top of a tree, because he thought, "Maybe if I climb the top of the tree, I can easily spot lighted areas"


    So he did. He grasps a nearby tree with both of his hands after he put his God Arc to his back and started climbing. After a few minutes of climbing, he was finally able to reach the top.


    He stood atop the tall wooden tree as he surveyed the surrounding area for any kind of light source, where there may be someone living there.


    He looked around for a long time but he could not find anything, he was closed on giving up when he suddenly saw a light coming from 1 kilometer away from him.


    Michael was overjoyed as he finally saw a light coming from this goddamn dark and creepy forest. He jumped down the tree and landed on the ground on one knee.


    "Finally, maybe other people are living in this forest, though that is hardly possible," Michael said as he stood up after landing on the ground.


    He took out his Greatsword from his back, to make sure he is ready when a monster comes attacking him before he ran at high speed to the direction of the light.


    Michael noticed that he was 5 times stronger than before when he was on his original earth, it must be because of his cultivation and his God Arc.


    Michael kept on running straight towards the direction of the light as he held his God Arc on his shoulders.


    After around 2 minutes he was finally able to reach where the light was.


    When he arrived at his destination, he was surprised to see a hut where the light was supposed to be.


    The hut is a simply made shelter, the walls were made from normal woods, there were logs under the hut as a support and the roof is made from large tree leaves.


    Inside it is where the light was coming from, there were 5 human head-sized holes on each side of the Hut that serves as the windows of the hut. In the front door, there is one window hole at each side of the door.


    But there was one question Michael is curious about.


    "Who built this structure here?" Michael asked himself. If somebody was able to build this Hut in the middle of this creepy forest and he/she lives inside of it, how did they do it?


    His question is about to be answered because in the next moment, a beautiful girl came out of the Hut. She is like a fairy descending down the heavens. Weird way to put it because fairies exist in this world.


    She has eyes the color of an amber that shines with kindness, her long copper hair feels almost comfy by just staring at it, her pale skin resembles the lunar moon, and her red-ish nose looks extremely cute. Her attire consists of nothing but a simple striped dress.

 5 The Girl In The Hu

    Michael stared at the beautiful girl at the front door of the Hut. He never saw such a beautiful girl in his entire life, except maybe from some celebrities but you know, he will never get close to those celebs, unlike this one.


    The girl suddenly spoke softly out of nowhere, "Can you please come out, mister?"


    Michael is startled as he heard the girl speak as if she knew he is here. In this darkness, you can''t see anything other than the long stretched blackness of the trees, so how did she know he was here?


    Michael has been hiding behind a tree this whole time and so, he came out of the tree from behind it.


    They both stared at each other in eerie silence before the girl broke it.


    "Mister, were you spying on me?" The girl asked as she suspects Michael from peeping on her.


    "Pfft" Michael almost spits out his saliva after hearing that.


    "N-No, I was not peeping on you" Michael stuttered as he was still startled by that question.


    "I did not say anything about peeping" This time, the girl is more suspicious of Michael than before.


    ''Shit'' Michael cursed in his mind as he just realized his mistake.


    Michael knew he could not win this conversation, so he decided to avert the conversation by saying...


    "Anyway, what are you doing here in the middle of this forest all alone in this hut?" Michael decided to be the one who is suspicious of her.


    The girl was startled for a second because of the sudden question before she sighed and said "I''m not going to lie to you, I am an aswang" The girl confessed as her clothes fell to the ground, exposing her entire body.


    ''Ah, what did I get myself into?'' Michael instantly had a nosebleed after seeing that hot body.


    "I have been living in this forest my entire life with my mother before she died because of a minotaur attack five years ago when I was seven" She explained.


    Aswangs'' natural habitats are either the dark woods or the cemeteries according to Filipino mythology. it''s just that, Michael didn''t expect to see one here and she has such a beautiful body. What? Michael is still a growing boy.


    Michael was oogling on her body when suddenly she turned into a giant black dog around the size of 2 humans.


    Michael woke up from his perversion when he saw that before his face turned serious, he was now cautious whether she would attack him or not. He gripped his God Arc tightly as he readied himself.


    The girl turned dog saw him being ready for battle and said "You don''t have to be cautious, I will not start a battle with you, God Slayer. But even if I did, would you be able to stop me?" To prove her point, she walks with her four limbs towards a nearby tree before using her claws to cut the tree in half.


    Michael''s jaw dropped after he saw her cut that tree in half with her bare claws and such ease. Even though he could do that with his God Arc, he can''t do that with his bare hands, it''ll be broken the moment he punches a tree.


    She looks back on Michael and asked: "You are a God Slayer right?"


    "Yes," Michael nodded in confirmation.


    "Then, what is your rank?" She asked as she licked her paws with her doggy tongue.


    ''Rank?'' He is bewildered as to what rank is she talking about before he suddenly remembered.


    The God Slayers and Mythical Creatures had a ranking in the human populations. E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS. That is the ranking of the God Slayers and the same goes with the Mythical Creatures but the ranking between both sides is not really fair.


    The rankings are separated by Energy Power Levels or EPL. The stronger the individual the higher his ranking. I''ll give you a chart for you to understand why it is unfair.

    Adalius Navarel is a Rank E God Slayer with an EPL of 3, I know extremely weak. After Michael reached Low Mortal Flesh Refining, he reached the EPL of 5, thus entering the realm of Rank D God Slayer. Though he is still pretty weak.


    "I am a Rank E God Slayer" Michael responded after remembering the ranks with Adalius''s memories.


    "Hmm, weak. As for myself, I am a Rank D mythical creature with an EPL of 130, well according to you humans anyway" She shrugged as she said that.


    Michael''s jaw dropped again after he heard that, this gal could easily kill him with a single move from her, what the hell!? This is too unfair.


    "But don''t worry, I am not like any other aswangs. I don''t attack someone with no reasons at all, I just live here in peace" She said to try and make him comfortable, which is not helping at all when you are seeing a dog two times the size of you.


    "Um...Can you change back to your original form? Your current appearance is really scary" Michael said while trembling in fear.


    She looks at her current form before she realized she is still in her dog form, she quickly change back to her former appearance, buuuuut she was still naked and it made Michael have a nosebleed again.

 6 The Pair Of Red Eyes That Gazes Behind The Veil Of Darkness

    After dressing up, the girl asked Michael if he wanted to enter her hut. Michael said yes, as there is no point refusing it out of caution because let''s be real here, she can kill him before he can even blink and on top of that, she is Smokin hot.


    Michael went into the hut with the girl. Inside the hut is a very simple decorated room, small bed enough to fit her at the left top corner of the room, on the right low corner of the room is a drawer where she kept her clothes in. And there are four lanterns with candles inside it in every corner of the hut. There is also a table with two chairs on each side of it in the middle of the room.


    "Aren''t you scared when you sleep here at night?" Michael asked curiously because the entire hut is literally surrounded by the dark and creepy forest.


    They sat on the chairs respectively before she answered his question.


    "No, but I used to when I was a child, I sometimes imagine monsters coming out under the bed and my mom told me to just ignore them. It is kind of ironic actually because I am a monster myself and I am afraid of them years ago, hehehe silly huh?" She said with a sardonic smile on her face, as if she was being sarcastic to herself.


    "No, I think it is not silly at all, it''s only normal for someone young to have that kind of fear" Michael replied to her as he shook his head.


    "Hmm, maybe you''re right," She said as her mouth turned into a cheerful smile.


    Michael suddenly said "By the way, I still don''t know what''s your name yet"


    "Oh, you''re right sorry for my rudeness, my name is Jasper Rose," She said her name sheepishly.


    "What a beautiful name, my name is Michael West" He praised her as he said his name.


    Suddenly, outside of the hut, there was a distinct growl that can be barely heard but it was there.


    Jasper suddenly stood up with a serious face before walking towards the window and stared at the endless sea of darkness outside, as if she was staring at something.


    She turned her head away from the window and looked at Michael before saying "It is already midnight, why don''t we sleep?"


    "Ah you''re right but I don''t have a bed to sleep on here, where do I sleep?" Michael asked her as he looked around the small room.


    "Don''t worry, I have my previous mattress under my bed, I''ll get it for you" She said before walking towards the bed before bending down to get the mattress where Michael will sleep in.


    She took out a small mattress only the size of a child.


    "Is this where I am going to sleep?" Michael asked incredulously because the mattress can only fit a small child on it.


    "It''s my mattress when I was just a child, I never used it even after ten years, so there are probably a few specks of dust on it" She explained.


    Michael stared at the mattress a little closer and saw thick clouds of dust forming on top of it.


    ''Oi! That''s not just a "few" specks of dust, that is an army of dust!'' Michael thought incredulously because he is feeling a little bit indignant about sleeping on that mattress.


    Sigh ''Better than nothing I guess, '' He sighed and just shrugged it off, beggars can''t be choosers.


    "Thank you for lending me your mattress, I really appreciate it" Michael sincerely thanked Jasper.


    "It''s okay, it is better being used than rotting off under my bed"


    Michael smiled in appreciation towards Jasper. He walked towards the mattress before dusting it off, for him not to sleep in a bed full of dust.


    Jasper closed off the front door before blowing the fires in the lanterns on every side of her room. The entire room turned dark as she went to her bed for her to rest off her body because of the tiring day.


    Michael finished dusting off the mattress and preparing his bed before he lied down the bed he prepared for himself.


    They both laid down their beds both at the same time. Michael gazed at the ceiling of the hut, which was just bamboo woods supporting the roof, as he thought about how this day had been full of surprises. He kept thinking and thinking before he was finally able to sleep.


    Jasper glanced at the sleeping form of Michael before she smiled joyfully because right now, she can sleep with someone under the same roof. It is been too many years since she was able to talk with a human, all creatures that are in this forest are just savages. And she likes being by his side, it feels comfy.


    She slowly dozed off as she kept thinking about what will happen from now on?


    Outside of the hut where the dark and creepy forest resided, one single pair of red shining eyes stood out of the darkness. Where trees and bushes were, there is a creature staring at the hut intently, as if it wanted to go in and destroy the people sleeping inside of it but somehow it can''t enter the vicinity where the hut resided.


    Because there was a line of white markings in front of its feet, it was a barrier keeping other monsters from coming near the hut.


    The creature with the pair of red eyes gazes at the hut with intensity as it hid behind the veil of darkness. It knew the time was close for it to invade them, it is just waiting for its chance to strike.


    The creature sinks slowly inside the darkness as it kept its gaze at the hit before it finally disappeared.


    Thousands of monsters exist in this forest but as if they were afraid of this creature, they backed away from the white marker on the ground slowly but surely.

 7 Burning My Little Brother For Three Days And Three Nights?

    -Next Day-


    Under the bright morning sun, the cold wind blew as the morning dews from the leaves of the trees fell to the ground, the birds were chirping as they enjoyed the morning breeze, mythical creatures in the depths of the forest roared under the light of the sky.


    Michael was suddenly woken up by the system sounding in his head. He is still a little bit dizzy from waking up so suddenly.

    Tears formed under his sky blue eyes as he looked at the consequence of not finishing the mission. Burning my little brother for 3 days and 3 nights straight? How vicious! You should have been a torturer rather than a system!


    But nonetheless, he obeyed. It is never worth it to sacrifice your little brother over some laziness.


    He looked at where Jasper was and saw, she was still sleeping. Michael doesn''t want to disturb her, so he decided to just cultivate silently. He sat in his mattress in a lotus position before he started cultivating.

    After a few hours of cultivating, Michael finally opened his tightly shut eyes.


    After cultivating, he felt like he is going to be able to make a breakthrough by tomorrow, if he continues cultivating like this.


    Sniff Sniff


    He smelled something delicious coming outside the hut. He stood up and went outside through the front door.


    Outside, he saw Jasper cooking slices of bacon on a frying pan, under it is a bunch of sticks burning as a fuel.


    She turned her head and saw Michael getting down from the hut. She smiled and said, "So you are awake?"


    Michael walked down the small wooden stairs on the front door and replied "Yeah, I was meditating earlier"


    "I was going to wake you up from your meditation but I just decided not to," She said while flipping the bacons.


    So, I see that you''re cooking bacons there, where did you get it?" Michael asked her curiously.


    "Oh, this? Earlier while you were meditating, I went out to fetch some of the wild boars that were caught under my traps" She said.


    "Traps?" Michael was confused.


    "Yes, traps. Since my mom''s death, I have lived in this forest all alone in this hut, but before she died, she thought me how to survive in the wild since I was just five years old. So here I am, an expert of being able to live in the wild" She explained as she took the bacons out of the frying pan and put it into a plate.


    Michael felt sympathetic towards her. She had been living in this forest for ten years, all alone and no one to talk to. She could not go to human civilization because they will easily figure out what she is and exterminate her almost immediately.


    "Hey, do you want some? I made enough for the two of us" Jasper said to Michael.


    "Really? I feel so embarrassed because I even slept in your room and now you are giving me some of your food, " Michael said ashamed at himself.


    She simply smiled and said, "I don''t really mind, I have been living here without anyone to talk and it''s been lonely eating without anyone to share the food too, so what do you say?"


    "Okay, then I won''t be holding back" Michael smiled brightly as they went inside the hut to eat.


    After they finished eating breakfast, Michael washed the dishes with the water from her well.


    Apparently, her mother had built a well that is connected to a small lake. Her mother must have been a superwoman to do that because some monsters in the lakes are more dangerous than some monsters on the land.


    After washing the dishes, Michael cultivated again to not get his penis burned for three days and three nights.


    For the whole day, except for eating lunch, dinner, and cultivating, Michael was also able to get to know Jasper better and better as they conversate with each other.


    At Night he spent the rest of his sleeping time to cultivation. He desperately cultivated for his little brother to be safe.

    Michael has been living here in this world for a total of 3 days.


    After cultivating for the rest of the night, he was finally able to breakthrough the Mid-Mortal Flesh Refining realm. His EPL increased from 5 to 11 after his breakthrough. Now he is a Rank C God Slayer, though he is still pretty weak.

    God Slayers are given missions to exterminate dangerous Mythical Creatures that threatens their strongholds.


    That is what exactly what Adalius and his previous teammates were doing when they came to this forest, a mission to exterminate the Minotaur.

 8 Adalius Navarel

    Adalius Navarel is a very timid but brave person. Since young, he had to go through hardships just to feed his younger brother in the slums.


    That is until a God Slayer recruiter came and asked him to join the forces of God Slayers. Apparently, he had a talent for being God Slayer.


    Of course, Adalius was very happy when he heard that. From now on, he and his brother won''t starve anymore in the slums, because the pay for being a God Slayer is huge!


    He will make 1000 CC (Credit Currency) every month! 1 Credit Currency can feed a whole family for one month and just imagine what he can do with 1000 CC.


    He can feed his brother luxurious foods and he can give him many good clothes! Unlike when they were living in the slums, right now they are set for life!


    But, it was not meant to be.


    The life of a God Slayer is very harsh, they had to consume mashed foods that have pure vitamins inside it, which turned its taste so awful.


    Adalius almost puked the first time

    Not only that, but they also had to do extreme exercises every single day until they get their God Arcs. 100 push-ups, 200 sit-ups, and 300 squats.


    The resources needed for training are also very expensive. Almost his entire CC is spent on resources, so only 10 CC is left for him to send to his brother.


    Adalius thought of quitting several times but he always stopped himself from doing it, why? Because of his little brother. If he quit over some little hardships, how is he going to feed his brother? So he stayed.


    He was 14 at that time.


    After 1 year, he was able to become a bonafide God Slayer. He received his God Arc, which was a claymore. After a week of getting used to his God Arc in simulations, he was finally able to do a mission.


    He took an easy mission from the lobby, where every God Slayer would take their missions.


    At that time, his EPL was only around 2.4, trash compared to everybody else.


    Since he is very weak he took a simple mission, killing a Slender Limbs. Of course, he was not alone. He had three other teammates with him.


    Nadia Mable, Ophelia Jade, and Radley Meiser.


    Nadia Mable is a very adorable girl, she is cheerful, kind and she has a cute permanent pink blush on her cheeks, cherry blossom hair, deep pink eyes, and a cheerful smile on her face. She wears a pink dress, modified by scientists with adamantine silk threads.


    Ophelia Jade is the complete opposite of Nadia Mable. She is a very cold person, even with her teammates. She does not show any kind of emotions except when she smiles sometimes, though it is very rare. She has a very smooth looking skin, deep midnight blue eyes that have a dignified look on it, smooth violet hair, and she wears a halter top with skinny jeans for her pants. Like Nadia''s clothes, they are also modified with adamantine threads.


    Radley Meiser is a very arrogant guy, he thinks he owns the world just because he is the son of a higher up in the city. He has orange hair, coal-like eyes, and he wears a red jacket and inside it is a white t-shirt, he wears black jeans for his pants.


    Nadia Mable has an EPL of 30.


    Ophelia Jade has an EPL of 50.


    Radley Meiser has an EPL of 70.


    All of them were in Rank C while he, Adalius, has an EPL of 2.4, an E Rank rookie. He never knew why they put him in this team, I mean look at that! They are way, way above me! How is this fair!?


    He went to the government office and tried to file a complaint about the team making decisions, but they just insulted him by saying.


    "Aren''t you happy that a trash like you gets to serve them? All of your teammates came from a very noble family and they are also geniuses! How lucky are you to serve them? I''d sacrifice my left arm just to be their servants and you want to quit them? How stupid are you?"


    Adalius left the office with his face red from the embarrassment he faced inside the office.


    Since he can''t quit his team, he''ll just stay there and also, maybe his teammates ain''t half bad? Oh, he was very, very wrong.


    When they became a team, they were transferred to a house solely for God Slayers, so you can not bring any maids and butlers inside it.


    In just 4 days of staying with them in that house, they started to treat him like their servant. They made him cook food, wash their clothes, wash the house they are staying in, everything that a maid does they made him do it. And if he did not do it, do you know what they would do? They would beat him up, he is especially afraid of Ophelia because she is a sadist, yes a goddamn sadist. She would take out her specially designed whip to whip him. Truly a miserable life.


    He wanted to quit so much but he cannot because his brother is still putting his faith in him.


    But his life changed when he met a girl, her name is Alissa Elvina. She is like him, a trash God Slayer. She has an EPL of 2.2, lower than his. But unlike him, she does not have an abusive team, she has a very sweet team full of females.


    They met when he and she were sitting under a tree, thinking about their life till now. Since then, they have been meeting there every day.


    Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months. For 2 months, they meet up under that same tree every single day. One day, Adalius decided to ask her if she wanted to become his girlfriend and she said yes.


    One year passed, August 1, Adalius proposed to her to become his fiance. She said yes with her tears coming out of her eyes.


    In that one year, many things changed. Alissa is no longer a trash, she now has an EPL of 45 because of her hard work and perseverance. But Adalius''s EPL only increased by 0.6 even though he trained harder than Alissa, he quickly became a laughing stock in the God Slayer community. A God Slayer who only increased his EPL by 0.6, in other words, a trash.


    But Alissa still stayed with him even after that. His heart warmed because of that, but he noticed a change in her personality in those times but he just shrugged it off saying, it was only nothing.


    Fast Forward by 8 months, it was now April 19 and the day his heart was broken into pieces.


    A rising genius appeared in the God Slayer community, Alphonsus Ellsworth, the son of one of the 10 SS Rank God Slayers. He had an EPL of 300.


    Adalius never cared about him and he just continued on with his life. Though his teammates never changed. They still continued to make his life miserable.


    But he managed to continue on because of his fiance and his brother. Every time he was pushed back to the ground, he kept climbing up and up and up but...His climbing spree is about to be destroyed.


    -At Night-


    Adalius went to the house where Alissa and her teammates were staying. He knocked on the door and one of her teammates opened it for him, she did not get surprised because he had been visiting Alissa for two years. But there was something strange about her eyes like she was looking at him with sympathy and yet with an amused glint on her eyes.


    She let him in the house and told him that Alissa was upstairs.


    This is now really weird because they usually would not let him in the house.


    Nonetheless, he went in and walked up the stairs. He suddenly heard moaning noises in the room upstairs. He had a bad feeling on his chest as he walks closer to the sound.


    When he was near the door of the room, he reached out for the doorknob and turned it slowly before he slowly opened the door.


    Once he had completely opened the door, he saw something that would haunt him to the rest of his days. He saw Alissa having sex with, you guessed it, Alphonsus Ellsworth, on top of her luxurious bed.


    Alissa looked at him briefly but on that brief time, he saw her looking at him with an indifference that you can only see in a stranger before she suddenly reached her climax and came.


    Adalius''s tears came flowing down his face like a river before he ran downstairs and stormed out of the house.


    Alissa''s roommates seem to be looking at him with sympathy as he stormed out of their house.


    He did not know where to go as he ran outside the dark and starry night. He just wanted to run as far as he could from this...this nightmare.


    He wanted to make his dream come true, a dream where he and Alissa get married with his brother as his best man. But he forgot about one thing, a nightmare is also a dream too.


    He ran and ran and ran and ran until he reached a certain tree, the tree where they first met.


    -7 Days Later-


    In those 7 days, he was like a mess. He never fought back to his teammates, he just...did as he was told. His eyes were like a broken orb as he cleaned the floors of the house.


    Suddenly, Radley came into the house and announced happily that they were going to do a mission, but it was not just any mission, their mission is to exterminate a Minotaur, a Rank C Mythical Creature, In the Mythical Forest.


    It was not a problem to fight the Minotaur with their group because since two years ago, everyone except Adalius has been improving.

    And so, all of them got their gears and God Arcs ready before going out of the walls of the city.


    Even though his teammates were abusive assholes, they were still after all a God Slayer, so their intellect were pretty high. They decided to go on foot because it will be easier for them to reach there without encountering any other Mythical Creatures. Their estimated time of arrival is within 1 day.


    -Next Day-


    They reached the forest after one day. They went inside the forest and searched for the Minotaur. They quickly found it, sleeping in the middle of a plain inside the forest.


    The other three nodded at each other before moving towards it slowly and quietly with their God Arcs in their hands but Adalius was left behind a tree because he knew he would instantly die if he fights that thing. When they were about to reach the Minotaur, it suddenly disappeared from its location.


    All of their eyes constricted when they saw the Minotaur disappearing out of its position.


    They quickly turned on their guards but it was too late, the Minotaur appeared behind Nadia and attacked her with its wooden club.


    She narrowly dodges the attack and retreated with her teammates following suit.


    "An aberrant!? They sent us to fight an aberrant!?" Radley exclaimed in shock as he saw the EPL of the Minotaur with his EPL watch checker.

    The rest of them widened their eyes as they heard what Radley just said.


    An aberrant is a Monster whose strength is not supposed to be at its normal rate, in other words, an abnormal.


    When Adalius heard that, instead of freaking out, he just smiled a broken smile. He walked slowly in front of them as he held his God Arc tightly before saying.


    "Retreat, I will hold it off to buy you guys some time to retreat"


    The three of them were stunned when they heard Adalius say that. The trash that they were kicking around is saying he will hold an aberrant on his own?


    "Huh!? What are you talking about? If even us can''t hold it off, how can you think you can!?" Radley asked him angrily.


    Adalius looks at them with a meaningful look and Ophelia saw that.


    She held Radley''s right shoulder and said "Let''s just go, maybe he has a plan to deal with it"


    Radley looked unsure but nonetheless he agreed before he looks at Adalius and said: "You better not disappoint us, trash!"


    They quickly ran off after Radley said that. Nadia turned her head back to Adalius and looked at him with a complicated gaze before following suit.


    Adalius looked at the Minotaur with a broken gaze as he put gripped his God Arc tightly to draw some courage for what he is about to do.


    "I let them run off because I don''t want anyone disturbing me as I do this," He said as he put the tip of his God Arc''s blade into his stomach before plunging it.


    Blood splattered to the soft emerald-like grass when Adalius plunge his God Arc into his stomach.


    The Minotaur was confused as to why this human would kill himself right in front of it. It just shook its head before walking towards Adalius.


    But suddenly! Dark aura spread out of Adalius''s body as his God Arc blended with his body. Giant serpentine eyes appeared behind Adalius before he was covered by a pure black orb.


    Everything around the vicinity was blown away as the winds kept getting stronger and stronger.


    The orb also kept getting bigger and bigger until it reaches the size of an elephant.


    The Minotaur widened its large red eyes as it saw the human turned into a black orb. The Minotaur dashed towards the black orb with extreme speed but it was blown away as the orb exploded into nothingness.


    After the black orb exploded, a completely black gigantic serpent revealed itself behind the black orb. The serpent was around the size of an elephant and its length was around 30 feet long.


    Its EPL is 550, it is still weaker than the Minotaur. This was Adalius. He plunged the God Arc to his stomach because he wanted to be taken over by his God Arc.


    He wanted to do something selfish for himself just this once. All his life he had been serving other people, either it be his brother or his teammates but the point is, it no longer matters.


    Right now, right here, he will die bravely. He will stand up and fight against an opponent he couldn''t beat before.


    I am sorry brother but just give your elder brother a rest, I have already worked hard and long enough. This is just one selfish request, you can give me this one, right?

 9 A Day...That Will Never Come

    [Wake up lazy host, time to cultivate]


    That is what Michael heard just after waking up from his slumber.


    It is been 2 weeks days since he broke through the Mid Level of Mortal Flesh Refining. In these 2 weeks, many things had happened. First of all, he and Jasper''s closeness had increased by a large margin. They can now sleep together in a single bed without any discomfort. Second, he had broken through the High Mortal Flesh Refining. The system did not give him any chance to rest and made him cultivate 24/7. Third, he had trained his Greatsword skills to a certain degree.


    After training his greatsword skills for five days, something appeared in front of his line of vision.

    But there are some harsh requirements for him to meet, to advance to some stage. In the first four stages, he doesn''t have to meet any requirements other than training but in the other three, that''s where it gets harsh. Heroic, Sage, and Deity. In those three, he has to comprehend certain Elemental Laws just to advance to them.


    Michael and Jasper have gotten closer. It seems like, love is blossoming in the two of them. (Can you feel the love tonight)


    Every day she would cook for him, give him clothes, and hugs him. In the end, even though she is a monster, she is still a teenage girl. She loves him, very much that she wants these moments to never end but...Everything has an ending and this one is no different.


    Even though they had just like less than a month, Michael felt like he has known her for many years. In just a short time, he had already fallen for her. It''s weird huh? His girlfriend just broke up with him a week ago and now he is falling in love with a girl, a girl who can kill him in one slap. How destiny had led him to this? He will never know.


    He just wants to be with her for eternity and never leave her. But tragedy always comes at the wrong time...


    In the white marking just outside the hut, there is a slight scratch. That slight scratch will be the symbol of doom for the two of them. The monster with the pair of red eyes is waiting, waiting for it to bloom.


    Michael and Jasper sat in the table and ate their food as they converse to each other.


    "Hahaha, you''re really good at joking, Michael," Jasper said while laughing.


    "Okay okay, I have another one, wanna hear it?" Michael asked.


    "Of course" She replied joyfully.


    "What happened when two vampires went on a blind date?" Michael asked.


    "What?" She replied.


    "It was love at first bite!"


    It took a moment before the joke went inside her head and...


    "Hahaha, good one" She laughed.


    Michael looks at her in a daze. She is really beautiful when she smiles.


    "You know..."


    "Huh?"


    Michael smiled and looked at her in the eyes before saying "You''re really beautiful when you smile"


    She was stunned for a moment before her cheeks went red. She looks like a tomato when she blushes.


    She burrowed her face under her hair because of the embarrassment she is feeling right now.


    Michael smiled at her cutely hidden face. He never felt like this with his previous girlfriend because she always says she has other things to do. But he did not realize later on that it was the start of her betrayal.


    Anyway, Michael stood up and picked up the dirty plates on the table before walking towards the well. He took a bucket and filled it with water from the well before he started washing the dirty plates.


    Since Michael is just staying here for free, he had been cleaning the house as to not get yelled at by Jasper, though it''s just him showing his politeness.


    Jasper stood up too and cleaned the table while her face is still hidden behind her hair because of her shyness.


    The time quickly passed and without them noticing, it was already night.


    Michael closed the door before readying his bed on the ground next to Jasper''s bed.


    Jasper laid down on the bed with her face facing the ceilings. She never thought that a moment like this would come to her life again. When her mother died, she felt like her world was crashing down on her. She had to learn how to feed herself in the wilderness but now, she has a person helping her clean the house, make her laugh, and he''s also very sweet.


    She wants nothing but for these moments to remain forever. She and Michael having a family one day, a day she would want to come sooner, a day...that will never come.

 10 The White Minotaur

    -1 Week Later-


    Another week passed and the two of them got closer again. Jasper felt like she was in a dream, a dream where she Michael had been staying in for a long time. Jasper really wants to kiss Michael but she knew that once she does that, she will seem like an easy girl. She will wait for Michael to do the next move for her to continue.


    Michael, on the other hand, wants something too, he wants to treat her like a princess, he wants to make her feel important. So he thought of an idea, he will buy her gifts in the system, like a beautiful queen size bed, a bouquet of flowers, delicious fancy foods. Anything that she hasn''t received yet, he will give it to her.


    So he bought a perfect ten roses bouquet because it symbolizes her perfection, a pair of rings that look like a coronet of a prince and a tiara of a princess, for he is her prince and she is his princess, and hundreds of ready to eat food in the system. He did not buy a Queen size bed because her room cannot fit that kind of bed, but he did buy her a medium size bed made of silk, that will probably make her happy.


    And all of it cost a whopping 3000 MP. The bouquet of flowers cost 200 MP, the pair of rings cost 800 MP, he bought a 1000 MP worth of foods in the system, and the bed cost 1000 MP. He felt like he was bleeding from head to tow but this is for him to woo Jasper, so he comforted himself that he and Jasper will always be together after all this.


    He hid the things he bought in the System Inventory and later he will surprise her with all these gifts.


    But suddenly he thought of something, wouldn''t she be suspicious if she saw all these gifts?


    Right now, he is standing near the well where their water source is. He is berating himself for not thinking this far, so he just told himself.


    "She will probably not be suspicious, I mean if she likes it, it''s fine right?" He said to himself.


    "Michael! Come here, the food is ready!" He heard Jasper shout inside the hut.


    "Okay, I''ll be coming!" He shouted back.


    As he was about to walk towards the front door of the hut, he suddenly felt like someone is staring at him. He turned around and looked around the thick trees of the forest and saw a pair of bloody red eyes staring at him from afar.


    He felt his skin crawling from the stare of that creature, it felt like it was sizing him whether he is a threat or not.


    Michael instantly ran back to the hut and he saw Jasper preparing their food on the table.


    "Jasper, I saw something staring at me in the woods, what was that?" Michael asked her.


    Jasper widened her eyes when she heard that, she quickly dropped what she was doing and ran out of the front door. She looked around for a while and saw nothing but the eerie forest and the rustling leaves of the trees.


    She went back to the hut and closed the door and the curtains to cover the holes where the creature may be watching them.


    All this time Michael was bewildered as to why she is doing this. He saw a tense look on her beautiful face and walked towards her before he taps her left shoulder.


    "What is happening? Tell me." Michael asked her.


    She turned around to look at Michael with a face full of seriousness and said, "The one you saw was a Minotaur but that was no ordinary Minotaur, that was the White Minotaur."


    "White Minotaur?" Michael is bewildered as to what kind of creature was that.


    "The White Minotaur is a very strong mythical creature, and was also the one who killed my mother." Her voice seems to be laced with venom as she said that.


    "But why would it kill your mother? I mean, there was no reason for it to kill her, right?" This time Michael is really confused.


    "There is a reason, my mother was once the strongest creature in this forest and that Minotaur wanted to take the title for himself, that''s why it killed my mother," She said sadly.


    "I''m sorry" Michael apologized for asking such an insensitive question.


    Jasper smiled at that and said, "It''s okay, I don''t mind."


    Michael was about to speak again when a roar sounded outside of the hut and a cracking sound could be heard.


    Both of them ran out of the hut quickly and when they saw what was going on outside, they were shocked.


    A transparent like dome covering the entire vicinity where the hut is was cracked. The transparent dome had a large crack on the middle going all the way down to each end.


    And behind the starter line of the crack is a giant chalk-white Minotaur standing and looking at them with its two pairs of bloody eyes.

 11 Princess Jasper

    Bloody red eyes that contain savageness, stared at them with an equally beastly look. The White Minotaur stood on its ground, the creature was at least 2 times bigger than the trees. It held an iron axe on its left hand with a bow on its back, leathers strapped around on its body.


    The Minotaur raised its left hand where the axe is, and smashed it to the transparent shield.


    Boom!!


    Michael and Jasper covered their ears as they heard the loud noise that the Minotaur made with its axe.


    Jasper looked at the Minotaur with eyes full of seriousness before she turned around to look at Michael and said, "Michael, please leave. That Minotaur is only here for me, so, please save yourself."


    Michael looks at her in disbelief as he heard her say that.


    "What!? No! I won''t leave you here to die!" Michael said stubbornly. He knew what would happen if he leaves her here alone, she would die.


    Jasper knew Michael would say that, she looks at the cracking barrier. That barrier is made by her mother with the white markings on the ground. No creatures can enter that barrier if they have malicious intent against them.


    She turned back to Michael and said, "Please Michael, you are precious to me and if you were to die because of me, I can never forgive myself, even in the afterlife."


    Michael stared at her beautiful face for a moment after hearing that. He felt his voice cracking as tears started to pour down from his sky blue eyes.


    Michael suddenly hugged her tightly and said behind her ears with his voice cracking, "What about me? If I were to leave you here behind, I would never be able to forgive myself because you are precious to me too"


    She was stunned when Michael suddenly hugged her but the next thing she heard brought her to tears, as this is basically him confessing his love for her. She never felt so warmed after her mother died.


    Sadly, she knew that this love would never last. She could no longer hold it anymore. She had already made her decision.


    She grabbed his head and held it near her face before kissing him lovingly.


    Michael was shocked for a moment when he felt her sweet and juicy lips on his lips before he started kissing back.


    The whole world seemed to have a stop for a moment as they kissed so lovingly. Both of them stood in front of the hut while they both kissed under the light of the blue sky.


    Jasper wanted this long kiss to last forever but this Minotaur and her heritage are stopping her. She wanted to be with Michael in this small hut, just the two of them raising their own children. Sadly, that will never happen.


    She released Michael from her long deep kiss and said with her eyes full of apologetic feelings in it, "Michael, please don''t blame yourself from what I''m about to do, blame me instead. This is my choice, not yours"


    Michael felt a little unsatisfied when she let go but he was quite confused as to what she was saying. He was about to ask her what she was talking about when he felt a quick chop on the back of his neck before he lost consciousness almost immediately.


    His body almost fell to the ground if not for Jasper catching him.


    "Graaaaah! Boom! Boom!" The Minotaur roared as it smashed its axe down on the barrier.


    She gritted her teeth when she heard the Minotaur slash his axe on the barrier and carried the unconscious Michael on her arms.


    She carried him inside the hut and put him down for a moment before she went towards the bed and moved it away.


    Under the bed was a trap door leading to a 2 cubic meters room that her mother built for emergencies. Even though it is small, Michael can still fit inside it perfectly.


    Even though she could squeeze in and maybe fit in with Michael but she can''t do that because the Minotaur will search for her and when it finds him and her, both of them will die.


    She can''t escape either, because the Minotaur will start ordering its underlings to search for her in the forest and it will cause more trouble for Michael to escape when he wakes up.


    She has no choice but to let her other blood to take over. Her vampiric blood.


    You see, her mother is an aswang while her father is a vampire. They were both very, very strong. Her mother was an S Rank mythical creature and her father, according to her mother, is an SSS mythical creature.


    Her father didn''t stay with them because he is being hunted by the God Slayers. While her mother is an S Rank, she is not a troublemaker like her father, she only stayed in this hut till she came.


    Her father causes huge troubles every time he appears.


    Every 18th birthday of a half-blooded vampire, their vampiric blood will completely take over their entire mind and body.

    But there is a chance for her to be able to keep her sense of reasons if she is strong enough to battle her vampiric blood, but that is nearly impossible to do.


    "Gah." She felt a pain coming from her right hand, she brought her hand near her face and saw that it is already turning pale white.


    She just smiled and said sadly, "Looks like, I and Michael will never be able to be together"


    Her eyes shined with sadness as she felt the changes in her body.


    The whiteness of her skin continued to climb over her shoulder before it covered her entire body. Two sharp fangs slowly grew in her front teeth. Her amber eyes turned into deep bloody red eyes. Her hair became darker and darker until it was midnight black.


    She was about to lose her sanity when she saw a ring near the trap door. She struggled to walk there and when she finally arrived there, she saw a ring designed like a tiara. She picked it up slowly with her right hand and saw a name behind the ring.

    Princess Jaspe

 12 My Princess

    The wind rustled in the tree leaves as the birds chirp under the morning wind and the roars of the monsters resounded on the forest.


    Michael woke up inside a pitch-black tight room. There was little light coming from up above, Michael thought it was the door out of this very small room.


    He pushed it a little and it opened slightly before he pushes it harder. The trap door opened with a bang and Michael climbed out of the small room.


    Michael finally got out of the room and when he climbed up, he saw the hut was destroyed. All of the walls were gone and the roof was gone, nothing was left except this small room under it.


    He never knew that there was a trap door in this hut and Jasper kept it a secret to him. Michael put on a serious expression after seeing his situation. The hut was gone and neither was Jasper.


    He looked around and saw nothing but a disaster. The trees were filled with scratch marks and some of them were cut cleanly in half. The grass on the ground appears to be pushed back by some kind of heavy wind.


    Michael grew increasingly worried as he looks around the area.


    Suddenly, it all came back to him. Jasper knocked him out before he fell unconscious. Michael widened his eyes in shock when he realized that, Jasper fought the White Minotaur alone!


    He got up from the ground and rushed outside of the hut, which was already destroyed, and checked his surroundings for any signs of Jasper.


    After searching for a while, he couldn''t find any clues related to Jasper. This time, he was extremely worried as to what happened to Jasper.


    [Host, don not search for her right now, you will only die]


    Suddenly, the system sounded inside his head. He was confused as to why the system would say that.


    "Why? I need to find her or else she might get killed by something" He said panicking.


    [Host, it''s been an exact 10 Hours since you got knocked out by her and if you keep searching for her, you will only encounter some kind of mythical monster many times stronger than you, and then when you will get killed]


    "What?" Michael didn''t know what he is feeling right now, is it sadness or anger? He doesn''t know.


    [Host, why are you looking for her anyway? You will only kill yourself if you continue searching for her]


    The emotionless voice of the system made him feel anger rushing to his body and yet, he felt extreme sadness by just thinking about Jasper. He wanted to continue searching for her but the risk is too dangerous, he can''t die if he has to search for her.


    "What do I do?" He asked himself. Right now, he is feeling severe confusion and mixed with sadness and anger. In short, he can''t control his emotions any longer.


    Anger because he blames himself for not being strong enough and sad because he was never able to give her his gifts, like the ring. He wanted them to become a real couple but it seems fate has other plans for the two of them.


    He opened his inventory to check his stuff when he saw the tiara ring missing from his inventory.


    "Huh? Where is the ring system?" He asked.


    [Since you wanted to give it to that mortal girl, I decided to give it to her...]


    "Really!? Thank you very much" Michael suddenly felt grateful to the system. But that gratefulness did not last long when he heard the next words of the system.


    [...For 2000 MP]


    "Fuck! My measly 12,000 MP is reduced to 10,000 only!" Michael cursed as he heard the system say that.


    But Michael just sighed and said, "No matter, at least she received my gift"


    Though he did not want to say it, he is still grateful to the system for giving her the ring.


    He took out the coronet ring from his inventory and put it on his ring finger before he looked upon the morning sky and vowed.


    "My princess, no matter what happens, I will find you and I will protect you forever, this I vow!"


    The determination in his eyes grew stronger and stronger until it became more clearer.


    He will grow stronger for Jasper, he will never give up.


    That''s right, I am her prince and I will find her no matter what!

 13 Kapre

    The scorching sun of the summer season blazed on into the entire forest. Monsters roared in the deep dark parts of the forest.


    Michael walks through the woods as he rustled through the leaves.


    It''s been 4 days since that incident and right now, he is trying to find a way out of this forest, so he can join back to the human civilization.


    Michael missed Jasper very much but he knew he would only die if he tried to find her in this entire forest. She could be anywhere.


    He needs to be more powerful for him to explore this entire forest freely. At his current strength, he will be crush with a single stomp of their finger before he could do anything.


    His current ELP is 21, which is not bad for noobs like him. Yesterday, he felt like he is going to breakthrough today. So he needs to find a safe place to cultivate or else he is going to be a dead man.


    But his greatsword mastery rose to 99% after training for a while. He had been able to find time to train his skills, but even if he did not, the system will still make him do it.


    As he was walking in the woods, he suddenly smelled tobacco near him. He looked around the trees before he saw smoke coming out of the top of a tree near his left.


    As he neared on the side of the tree he can smell the tobacco''s pungent smell going through his nose.


    "cough cough" Michael coughed badly because of the smell. He covered his mouth and nose with his right hand for the smoke not to come inside his lungs.


    His eyes became a little bit teary after his coughing fit.


    Suddenly, a deep gruff voice sounded in the entire surroundings.


    "Human, what is your purpose for coming here?" The voice asked.


    "Who''s there!?" Michael quickly reacted and took out his God Arc. He couldn''t pinpoint where the voice was because it seems to be coming from everywhere.


    "Me? I am what you humans call, a Kapre but my name is Baranga." The gruff voice replied to his shout.


    ''A Kapre? Wew almost thought that was an enemy'' Michael sighed in relief when he heard it was a Kapre.


    The reason why Michael is relived is because, Kapres are usually friendly creatures. Sure they would play little pranks on humans but they are essentially harmless.


    Michael never thought of meeting one here but still, he would have to be careful because he may be wrong.


    "Baranga nice to meet you, my name is Michael West." Michael introduced himself politely.


    "Michael was it? Tell me, what are you doing in this woods?" The Kapre''s voice sounded in the entire surroundings again.


    "I am a God Slayer and I and my team were ordered to exterminate a Minotaur but when we arrived where the Minotaur was, we saw an aberrant, not a normal one," Michael explained.


    "Hmm, so you were the one I saw plunging his God Arc to his stomach before transforming into a giant black snake, how interesting." The voice said as if it was interesting.


    Michael was a little bit stunned for a moment when he heard the Kapre said that. So, someone saw Adalius transforming into a monster 4 weeks ago?


    Michael narrowed his eyes and asked, "Did you see anything after that?" He wanted to know what happened to Adalius after transforming into a monster. When Adalius transformed, he lost all of his sense of reasoning and his consciousness, so Michael didn''t know what happened afterward.


    Suddenly a gigantic figure came out behind a tree. It was a brown, hairy male with a beard. He was smoking a very large ganja pipe, with a strong smell that would almost always attract human attention. But the most intriguing thing is his height, it was around 5 meters tall. He was taller than the tree he was hiding on.


    Michael quickly put on his guard and stared at the giant man fiercely. His right hand gripped on the God Arc tightly.


    "Woah, don''t stare at me like that little man, I''m the kapre you were just talking to," Baranga said.


    "Baranga?" Michael asked but his hand still gripped on the God Arc tightly. He was a little bit cautious.


    "Yes yes, so don''t attack me," Baranga confirmed panicking.


    "Okay, but tell me what happened afterward?" Michael asked with his eyes narrowing.


    "Okay, okay, just don''t attack me, " Baranga said.


    Baranga told him what happened after he transformed into that giant black snake.

    (Flashback)


    Adalius immediately lost his consciousness after transforming into a giant snake. His God Arc took over his mind and the black snake hissed loudly throughout the entire vicinity, echoing.


    His God Arc was nowhere to be found and the aberrant Minotaur took an all fours stance before it charged towards the now monster Adalius.


    The snake had no legs, so it crawled towards the charging Minotaur and rushed towards it in a vicious speed.


    Not long later, they clashed. The clash made a huge shockwave that blew all the grass away in their vicinity.


    The snake used its tail to wrap around the Minotaur''s body tightly.


    The Minotaur roared in pain as the giant black snake''s body squeeze on its body tightly.


    "Roar!!!"


    The snake then neared its face towards the Minotaur''s face and opened its mouth before a black fire came out of it. The Black fire burned the Minotaur to ash until there was nothing left on it.


    After the Minotaur died, the Gigantic black snake slowly turned back into Adalius, who is now dead.


    (End Flashback)

 14 Should I Kill Him Or Not?

    Michael and Baranga sat in the living room of a tree. Baranga lives inside a tree, literally. He''s an engkanto mythical creature, though that still doesn''t change the fact that he is a monster.


    Engkantos usually live inside the natural earth, like trees, small mud hills, even mountains! Diwatas are known as lesser gods and they live inside a small mountain or so they tell in the folklore.


    Mythical creatures like Phoenix or Dragons are very, very rare. They have only been sighted around 30 times in the past century after the invasion.


    Though Slender Limbs, Chupacabra, Minotaurs, etc are common to see. There are also aberrants, abnormal monsters, that for some reason, they grow stronger than the other common monsters.


    Remember the White Minotaur? That thing is an aberrant monster and it commands hundreds of other smaller Minotaur. That Minotaur is an S Class Mythical Monster with an EPL of 978 and with its power, it was able to make the other Minotaurs to submit to it.


    Alright, I have gone far off where I was supposed to narrate, let''s continue.


    Michael and Baranga both sat in a wooden chair in each part of the table. On top of the table are two cups of leaf tea in each side of their part of the table.


    The treehouse looked okay in most parts but moss is growing in some parts of the house.


    Michael lifted the cup near his mouth and took a sip out of the cup of tea before putting it down on the table.


    "So, that''s what happened after I transformed into that gigantic snake?" Michael asked after sipping the tea.


    "Yes but that''s what all I saw before I suddenly passed out" Baranga replied while hunching his back. To fit in the house, he had to bend his back a little for him to fit.


    "Then why did you passed out?" Michael asked, narrowing his eyes.


    "Sorry I don''t know," He said.


    "Do you know an aswang by the name of Jasper Rose?" Michael asked as if he was interrogating him.


    He shook his head again and said "Sorry, I don''t know"


    Michael stood up abruptly from his chair before heading towards the exit of the treehouse.


    "Wait! Why are you leaving?" He hasn''t been able to talk to a human for a long time and he is a Kapre, so his lifespan extends to a thousand years, that''s why a ''long time'' for him is a very long time.


    "You don''t have the information I needed and you don''t even know the girl I am looking for, so I''m leaving," Michael said as if he was bored.


    "At least give me some tobacco?" He pleaded.


    "Fine" Michael said and bought a pack of golden brand cigars from the system worth 100 MP.


    Michael tossed the pack of cigars towards Baranga before exiting through the door.


    Baranga caught the pack of cigars easily and smiled gratefully towards the exiting Michael.


    (Outside)


    Michael came out of a tree where Baranga was staying in, yes he literally lives inside a real tree.


    Michael walked out of the tree before he suddenly remembered, he needed to find a safe place to breakthrough the Peak Mortal Flesh Refining realm.


    He turned around and entered the tree again.


    (Inside The Tree)


    Baranga was smoking the cigars he received from Michael. He was suddenly disturbed when the door from his entrance was opened.


    "Huh?" He turned around and saw Michael coming in the door.


    "Sorry, but can I stay here for a few hours?" Michael asked as he scratched his head sheepishly.


    "Yes of course, as long as you give me more of these cigars," He said.


    Michael felt his heart was bleeding from the cost of that pack of cigars. He now only has 9800 MP in the system after buying those cigarettes.


    He can kill this Kapre with his current ELP but he doesn''t want to do that because it hurts his morals to do that, I mean the guy is kind, and killing him for a measly 200 MP is too cruel. By the way, Baranga''s ELP is around 30 but Michael can still beat him combined with his God Arc and his skills.


    Michael tossed out another pack of cigars towards Baranga.


    Baranga caught it easily.


    "Now, can I stay?" Michael asked in irritation of losing his 200 MP.


    "Yes, but what are you gonna do anyway?" He asked Michael curiously.


    "I''m gonna meditate in here to clear my mind a little" Michael lied because he doesn''t want other creatures knowing that he can cultivate to immortality.


    Baranga felt a little confused as to why he was going to meditate but nonetheless, he just ignored it and continued smoking his cigars furiously.


    Michael saw this and felt disgusted because he couldn''t imagine someone sucking on a cigar so desperately like his life is on the line.


    But he just ignored it and sat in a lotus position in a clear space in the middle of the room before he closed his eyes and cultivated. He is now trying to break through the Peak Stage of the Mortal Flesh Refining Realm.

 15 Mission

    Boom!!


    A large boom sounded inside his dantian, signifying his advancement to the Peak Mortal Flesh Refining realm. His EPL is now 40.


    Michael opened his eyes and smiled brightly, now he is one step closer to finding Jasper. Michael stood up to check if anything has happened yet before he suddenly felt a sense of hunger.


    "How long have I been cultivating here?" He held his stomach due to the pain he was feeling because of hunger.


    He then asks the system how long has he been cultivating here and it responded...


    [Host, you have been cultivating at an exact time of 6 hours 45 minutes 33 seconds]


    "Oh, that''s why," Michael said.


    "Hey little man, you awake?" A voice sounded from the kitchen and he saw Baranga cooking something.


    "Y-Yes I''m awake, but do you have any food on you right now?" Michael asked Baranga.


    "Oh perfect timing, I''m cooking some wild deer meat I hunted awhile ago," Baranga said inside the kitchen.


    Michael sighed in relief when he heard that and replied, "Okay, I''ll wait here till you finish"


    Michael sat down in one of the chairs in the table and waited.


    After a few minutes, he was already getting bored, so he tried fidgeting with the system''s shop to see anything interesting.


    Michael browses through the interface of the shop until he saw something, there was an option where he can buy a bloodline for his own.


    He tapped the interface option before the interface of the system was directed to the bloodline shop.


    After he was directed to the bloodline shop, he saw many kinds of bloodlines. Like, the Demonic Phoenix bloodline, Dragonic Bloodline, Heavenly Roc bloodline, Eternal Vampire bloodline, Pure Darkness bloodline, etc.


    But there was one itsy bitsy tiny problem, the MP to buy them was as big as the heavens.


    The cost of these bloodlines does not go down for at least a million MP. Like, the Eternal Vampire bloodline, it''s cost was 10,000,000 MP, too fucking expensive. How many dangerous things he would do to his ''little brother'' for him to buy that!?


    I mean, the lowest-priced bloodline was the Underwater Sea Kappa bloodline, which costs around 1,000,000 MP, too fucking expensive damn it.


    Michael grumbled under his breath when he saw that. Buying a bloodline is not an option for him right now.


    He needs to do something... he suddenly gained an idea.


    "System, do you have any missions for me right now?" Michael asked the system.

    And the time length of the mission is too long, which means he would have to prepare, for him to kill them. But killing people is too much for him, he was just a regular teen 1 month ago and now look at him, being given assassination missions here and there.


    Michael sighed and looked up the ceilings. He thought of his life until now, all he did was irritate his mother, play games all day, read novels, hang out with losers. He was just living normally but now, he would have to kill monsters and humans both at the same time? Life is truly unpredictable.


    Michael smiled and shook his head before saying, "Why am I reminiscing like an old man? All those things are just the way life is supposed to be, life can not be completed without mistakes, because that means I am still human inside but... for how long?"


    Michael opened the system interface and bought a Jagdkommando Tri-Edge dagger, a perfect weapon for killing humanoid creatures.


    The deadly dagger appeared in his right hand. The blade he was holding has three sharp edges that twist to a point. The seamless, yet functional, design of this knife is brought together by grooved faces and drilled holes. The dagger has an 8 inch (20.32 centimeter) blade, and is 13 inches (33.02 centimeters) long overall. The dagger weighs 24 ounces (0.68 kilograms).


    The reason he bought that dagger is because he didn''t want to use his God Arc for killing humans, it is too disgusting for him to use a weapon of humanity to kill humans.


    Michael bought a black hooded coat so that they can''t see his face. You can never be too careful around God Slayers.


    Michael put on his newly bought coat and headed outside but not before saying goodbye to Baranga.


    "Baranga, I''m gonna leave, I have a mission to do," Michael said with an unusual indifference in his voice.


    "Okay, if you say so but come back here sometimes," Baranga said inside the kitchen.


    "Yeah" Michael replied before he went out of the treehouse.

 16 Sneak Attack

    The tree leaves rustled as the forest critters rushed to the other side of the trees, footsteps were heard as 4 God slayers walked passed the tree where Baranga was staying in.


    Cold piercing blue eyes shined behind a tree near the four of them. The black coat silently fluttered as the wind pushed it back. The person who owned such eyes was no other than our MC, Michael.


    He held the Tri-Edge blade on his right hand tightly, the blade glinted when the sun''s light hit it. It was like a glint of death that shined on that blade. Michael readied himself as this is his first time killing humans. It was either him or them, he will be killed if he does not finish this mission given to him by the system.


    He needs to finish this or else, he would never be able to see Jasper''s beautiful face again.


    "I''m sorry but please understand" Michael muttered silently in the wind.


    In the four God Slayers, two of them are boys and the other two are girls. They all had their God Arcs readied in case some monster attacks them.


    Both of the girls had God Arcs that are duel pistols while the other two boys had Sword God Arcs. Their team was a perfect combination, because the girls can take care of the long-range while the other two take care of the short-range.


    Their EPL were ranging between 50 to 40, even though they are quite weak their perfect combination makes up for all their disadvantages.


    Michael looked quite grimly when he felt their prowess, they''re not only experienced, they are also quite strong. At this rate, killing them will be harder than he thought.


    He decided to buy a Black Liquid Poison to lace his dagger with it, it was quite expensive but he had no choice because their numbers exceeded his.


    He quietly poured the poison on his dagger before holding it carefully, so that the blades of the dagger won''t leave a scratch on his arm or hand because the poison will kill him almost instantly if he somehow manages to cut himself with it.


    The four God Slayers, ignorant of Michael, walked silently with their God Arcs in hand. The two girls seem to be twins because they look exactly the same. Green shining eyes, blond hair, cute plush skin, even though it was covered with a little bit of dirt.


    The boys look quite ordinary with their black eyes and black hair. They held their God Arcs more tightly than the girls.


    Michael decided to first take out the long-ranged God Slayers. He moved quietly behind the dark shades of the trees and made it quietly near behind the four of them.


    His focus was on the extreme level and when he was about to stab one of the long-ranged God Slayers behind her neck, his pupils constricted due to his extreme focus.


    Stab!


    He stabbed the girl quietly. She quickly falls down but Michael was not finished yet, he quickly slashed the other girl with his Tri-Edge dagger in the arm.


    She jumped back with the other two remaining God Slayers and when she was about to yell at their Attacker, she fell down on the ground slowly.


    "Anita!" One of the boys yelled worriedly and ran directly to her side before he knelt down and checked her pulse if she was alive.


    Unfortunately for them, they forgot one rule of staying alive with their enemy, don''t turn your back away from him.


    Michael quickly rushed to the other boy and he quickly slashed his dagger towards him but the boy blocked it with his God Arc. Michael frowned a little before he kicked the boy in the stomach hard.


    The boy knelt down while holding his stomach and he spits out a bunch of saliva on the ground.


    Michael quickly stabbed the boy in the skull. The God Slayer''s eyes rolled back to his head before he fell down on his face and died.


    Michael turned his head and gazed at the last God Slayer. The boy looks terrified of him, how did he know that? Because there were some wet stains on the boy''s pants.


    Michael gripped the dagger''s handle tightly before he rushed at the terrified God Slayer.


    Michael couldn''t hold it any longer because God Slayers are supposed to be the humanities last hope and yet, this one just stood still and did not do anything as he watched his comrades being killed in front of him and instead just looked at him with terrified eyes.


    "Why are you so scared!? You are a fucking God Slayer!" Michael yelled while rushing towards the boy.


    The boy widens his eyes at the last seconds as if he had just gained enlightenment before Michael stabbed him in the face.


    The 15 years old cowardly God Slayer died a terrible death.

 17 Ah Damni

    Ding


    [You have finished the mission given to you by the system, go to your inventory to check your rewards]


    The system sounded inside his head while Michael vomited in a nearby tree.


    "Blergh" Michael couldn''t stop himself from vomiting because of the devastation he felt after killing a human being felt so nauseating.


    After a few minutes, he got over it and wiped off his mouth with sleeves of his coat before chuckling.


    "Funny, after killing those people, I don''t feel so strong anymore, I feel weak, no, not my strength but my mentality. Such a weak mentality will kill me in this horrible, horrible world" Michael said with a little bit of self-loathing towards himself.


    In the end, he is still a normal teen inside his heart.


    Michael got over his disgusting feeling of killing another human being and looted their bodies for anything he can use on his journey back to the City Of Hope. But first, he took out his God Arc from behind his back, so he can prepare for anything that will attack him out of nowhere.


    He searched their bodies while avoiding their God Arcs because if he were to touch them with just a tiny bit of his finger, they would try to kill him.


    The reason is he was not their host, a God Arc can feel the difference between their holder and a stranger. And as a result, that act violently towards that person.


    After a few minutes, he found many things on their corpses, two medicine pouches, a bag full of rations, and some survival gears.


    The medicine pouches each have 10 slots inside of them for the Vital Injections. They are used by the God Slayers for healing themselves, they just basically inject it to their arm and their body will heal itself at an amazing speed.


    And the rations are just some canned foods like tuna, SpaghettiOs, rice, meatloaf in a can, and many other things.


    Even though he had many ready to eat foods in his inventory that he was supposed to give to Jasper, but more foods can''t hurt.


    He put all of them inside his inventory while taking out his rewards.


    An MP card worth 5000 MP and a white ring covered in blue markings.


    Michael held the ring in the palm of his right hand and he carefully inspected it for anything out of the ordinary.


    Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary, so he asks the system.


    "System, what is this ring you gave me?" Michael asked curiously.


    [That ''ring'', as you said, is a compressed soul of a Thunder Blade Wolf with various magical inscriptions inscribe into it, it is part of the Ring Of Creatures series. With that ring, you can transform into a Thunder Blade Wolf but you can only stay in that form for about 10 minutes before you revert back to your normal human form and it also has a cooldown of 1 hour]


    Michael''s mind was blown away when he heard the explanation of the system, this normal looking ring was a compressed soul of a creature, how amazing is that?


    He put on the ring on the pointing finger of his left hand.


    Michael tried to activate it by saying: "Activate!" But it did not work, so he tried again and again but it was still a failure.


    So he asks the system again, "How do I activate this ring?"


    [Just lick it slowly]


    "What? I can''t seem to hear you right, even though you''re inside my head, can you please repeat that?" Michael asked a little confused.


    [I said, just lick it slowly, do you understand?]


    It took a moment for Michael to realize what the system just said before he released many creative profanities.


    "You worthless motherfu****, what the fu** huh!? Do you want this daddy to lick this ring you shitty b*tch!? Do you want me to put my **** up your ass!? Huh!? Licking this shitty ring!? Do you treat me like a dog!?"


    Michael suddenly realized what he just said and covered his mouth due to the shock of using so many profanities at once.


    An eerie silence occurred in the whole area and Michael is feeling a dread climbing out of his heart. He felt like a great demon has just awakened and it was his fault.

    "...Ah damnit"


    After he said that, screams of agonizing pain sounded throughout the whole forest. Monsters covered their ears because of terror, some intelligent creatures prayed for the person experiencing that kind of agonizing pain.


    All of them had many different types of reactions towards that scream but they all had something in common, they don''t want to experience that kind of pain.

 18 Caught In A Web

    Michael fainted after the shock he felt from the system''s lightning shock. He fell down on the ground face first.


    (2 Hours Later)


    In the middle of the trees, you can see a large spider web built like a spiraling orb.


    After a few hours, he woke up but he was no longer in the same spot as before, instead, he was stuck in something sticky.


    When he opened his eyes, he saw many large webs sticking on to the trees, forming a circle like a web.


    Michael felt a little scared as he didn''t know what was going on. He just woke up and now he is facing something like this? What is going on?


    But that''s not all. When he looked down on his body, he was covered with a huge amount of spider webs.


    Now, he is extremely terrified because he already guessed where he is and what is happening to him. A spider is about to make him its dinner.


    Michael decided not to panic and tried to think of a plan to get himself out of here.


    "The dagger!" Michael realized he still has the dagger inside his inventory box. But he can barely move his arms due to the tightness of the webs. Fortunately for him, the spider who owns this web is still not here. He summoned the dagger to his right hand and tried to cut the webs, although it was a little weak because he was tied up.


    He tried to cut it but the webs were hard as steel and he couldn''t cut it.


    "Shit" Michael cursed. Right now, the best thing to do is to just ask the system or buy an item that could release him from here.


    "System, what happened after I fainted?" Michael asked.


    Ding


    [When you fainted, certainly not because of me, a female humanoid creature suddenly came out and picked you up before her body from the waist down turned into a redback spider''s body. She then used one of her limbs to carry you and put you into her web]


    "And who was the one who made me faint again? Hmm?" Michael asked a little bit angry.

    "Shameless system" Michael grumbled quietly under his breath.


    Suddenly, a seductive voice sounded on top of him.


    "Oya, Oya, my dinner is finally awake, how do you feel?"


    Michael looks upwards and saw a beautiful seductive Japanese woman wearing a pink yukata that seems to fall at any moment. But there was one little problem, her body from the waist down is a giant spider''s body.


    She walks towards him with her spider legs and puts her face near his.


    "You know, it is a really nice feeling to have a human as my dinner for today," She said while licking her lips.


    ''Tch, If I don''t do something, I will be her dinner for the day, what do I do?'' Michael thought.


    He needs to do something about this situation or else, he''ll die.


    Suddenly, the system''s monotone voice sounded inside his head.


    [Host, just use the Thunder Blade Wolf ring. All you have to do is lick it]


    Michael suddenly thought of that but he cannot use his left arm because of the web.


    But the spider woman noticed what he was doing and smiled mockingly before saying, "Hmm? Are you gonna do something, my little food? It''s futile, my webs are made of 70 percent steel and 30 percent silk, you can never cut that"


    Michael gritted his teeth when he heard that. Since she already noticed, why not make it more obvious? So he decided to try and cut the webs binding him aggressively.


    "Tsk, tsk, you can''t cut my webs that easily, why don''t I help you with that?" She said mockingly. She used one of her limbs to cut the web.


    She knew that the current Michael can''t beat her in that kind of state, her EPL is around 100 while his is 40, he stands no chance against her.


    When she cut the web holding him, he immediately lifted his right hand near his face and licked the ring.


    Boom!


    Just after licking the ring, a huge explosion made of lightning particles occurred.


    Since the spider woman was closed to Michael when the explosion occurred, she was blasted away from her webs.


    In the forest, you can hear loud slashing noise in the air. All of the webs that the spider woman built was cut by something.


    After the explosion, many dust particles gathered in one place and covering the area.


    Inside the fog of dust, you can see a silhouette of a large wolf with its sword-like tail waving behind it menacingly. The wolf raised its head before it howled.


    "Awoooo!"


    The howl made many creatures of the forest felt their skin crawling. They hid inside their wooden home because they were terrified of who made that howl.


    The wolf then waved its tail lazily and the fog of dust vanished away before it revealed its features.


    It was a white wolf with lightning energy coursing throughout its body, making it threatening to look at. It had a tail made of lightning that formed a blue lightning blade. Its deep blue eyes had red markings around it and it growled slightly, showing its sharp teeth.


    EPL - 300

 20 So Cold

    In the middle of the forest, there was a large white wolf with lightning energy coursing throughout its body and a woman with white hair whose body is that of a spider, glaring at each other with hatred shining between their eyes.


    The reason why the spider woman is angry is that, after the explosion, she noticed that her eggs were already gone. All of those eggs took a lot of effort to take care of them and Michael just blows them all to pieces.


    Michael on the other hand, who is a Thunder Blade Wolf right now, growled at her threateningly. His tail waved behind him menacingly and his fangs bared at her while licking his mouth sinisterly.


    Earlier he received a mission from the system, saying:

    The spider woman was the first to strike. She charged at him with incredible speed. Her 12 legs rushed furiously towards him and a long sword made entirely of fire, flaring dangerously in both of her hands.


    The large wolf narrowed its deep blue eyes and in just a slight moment, you can see its mouth smirking a little before it quickly disappeared.


    When the spider woman reached him, she slashed her fire sword towards him. Michael the wolf dodged it easily before he opened his wolf mouth and a large lightning energy beam formed inside his mouth before he released it at the spider woman in point-blank range.


    Boom!


    The spider woman''s spider body got blown away in smithereens and now, only her humanoid body remains, which is devoid of all clothing.


    Her body fell to the ground, unmoving. She had already lost all hope, her eyes empty of any hatred, you can only see peace inside her beautiful green eyes.


    She lifted her hands up to the skies before muttering sadly, "Ah sister... I have failed you"


    Michael suddenly jumps on top of her and beheaded her with his sharp blade-like tail.


    Her head flew 1 meter away after being separated from the body.


    Michael did that because she may live again, he doesn''t want any unfinished businesses after killing a creature who just tried to make him her dinner.


    But he was slightly confused as to who this ''sister'' was. He ignored it for now. He tried to see if there was any loot that he can take before leaving the spider woman''s nest.


    Michael suddenly thought about the fire sword that she was using earlier yo kill him. He looked around and saw it on the ground near where her body is.


    10 Minutes have passed and his transformation faded away before he turned into a human again but there was something wrong when he turned back into his normal human form, his clothes were gone.


    A cold wind suddenly passed by and hit him. He covered his 8-inch penis and his chest because of the cold wind.


    "Fuck that was cold!" Michael said while trying to cover his body with his hands. Suddenly, he just realized why the mission''s name was ''So Cold''.

His God Arc appeared on his right hand and Michael sighed in relief before walking towards where the fire sword was before picking it up. It was quite heavy though, 3 times heavier than his God Arc.


    Michael tried swinging it and he felt just fine. So he put it in his inventory before walking away from the nest of the spider woman.


    But what he did not see is the body of the spider woman twitching a little.

 21 Spider and Goblin

    (3 Days Later)


    In a bright cave lighted by torches, there is a girl whose other half of her body was a spider''s legs. Her white her fell down to her shoulders and you can see obvious paleness in her face and her body was close to malnourished.


    Her spider legs could no longer move and her frail arms moved wobbly to the table to get her glass of water. She got it, although some of the water dripped out from the glass, the rest was fine.


    She then drank from it and thought about her missing sister.


    (Serena POV)


    Hmm, I wonder where big sister might be? She hadn''t been visiting these days and I''m getting worried that some God Slayer has already killed her. Please God, my sister is the only one I have left. My mother and my 3 other sisters turned insane three years ago because of a poison that infected their minds. Now, my big sister is the only one who has been taking care of me.


    Two years ago, a disease struck me and the other half of my body became unusable. Since then, my big sister took care of me this whole time but I also felt guilty for not being able to be of any use to her. I am so useless that I can''t even do simple work like hunting for our foods.


    But my big sister has never complained, not even once. She just took care of me with a smile. Every day she would take care of me, feeding me, bathing me, everything that I could''ve done myself if I was normal, she did it for me. She is the best sister I could''ve ever hope for.


    She has a habit of making spider babies and it somehow disgusts me but I kept a blind eye towards it. Those spider babies can only be fertilized by using human blood as their food.


    But it''s been three days and maybe, just maybe, she has already been killed by a God Slayer. I don''t want that happening to my sister, I don''t care about myself and her gross habits but please, be alive big sister.

    Suddenly she heard someone dragging something from the entrance of the cave. It felt like it was dragging... Itself?

    (With Michael)


    It has been three days since he killed that spider woman and he had been venturing the forest while fighting monsters here and there. In fact, he had gathered 20 cores from the goblins he killed but 30 other cores were destroyed when he killed his way through the monsters.


    He had just found out that there were goblin villages throughout this whole forest. The village populations range from 50 to 1000.


    (Flashback (Kinda)


    The goblin village he found was a 50 village one. He was suddenly attacked by the archers of that goblin village and he was struck in his right leg. He was furious at those archers, so he killed the 6 archers that attacked him.


    After killing 5 and leaving one of them alive, he interrogated the goblin to speak where their village was.


    The goblin had little to no intelligence, so it was hard trying to find their village through their gibberish language.


    His mind was clouded by anger at them that time for causing that leg injury. After finding out where their village was, he killed the goblin and healed his arrow struck leg with some miraculous medicine from the system shop.


    He made his decision to massacre the goblin village.


    After getting there in the goblin village, he suddenly thought about his decision and felt guilty about it but when he saw what was inside the village, he was furious. 4 young girls were being used as a breeding machine for their village''s population.


    Michael decided, for real this time, he was going to cause a massacre.


    Michael transformed into his thunder wolf form and slaughtered all of them with his thunder blade tail. Almost all of their cores broke but he didn''t care, such an act of depravity is unacceptable to him.


    Suddenly, he noticed an elderly goblin holding some kind of stick pointing directly at him while speaking some gibberish words. Fire came out of the stick and fired towards him. He quickly blocked it and he knew what the elderly goblin was doing, it was casting a spell.


    ''So magic exists in this world now?'' Michael thought curiously.


    The elderly goblin fired another fire spell at him but he blocked it easily and fired a thunder beam towards the elderly goblin.


    The be hit the elderly goblin and he was pulverized instantly.


    After killing the goblin mage, Michael quickly killed all the remaining goblins before transforming back to his regular form.


    He walks towards the traumatized girls and tried to talk to them.


    "Hey, are you guys okay?" He knew it was quite insensitive to say that, considering the things they''ve been through but he didn''t know anything more to say other than that.


    One of the girls who has a dirty green hair looked towards him with those hollowed green eyes before saying, "Please, kill me. I don''t want to live anymore or else, I will have to live with this shame for the rest of my life"

 22 Lets Dance!!

    "We were God Slayers who came here to subjugate a goblin village, who has been quite a trouble for other God Slayers but we got captured instead. There were 8 of us, 2 teams of God Slayers walked into this forest with 80 EPL in each of us, "


    "Although we were quite strong, this goblin village still managed to capture us. We underestimated it because we thought it was just a low-level goblin village but we were wrong, oh so wrong." She explained weakly. Her body was frail because of the low nutrients she gets from the goblins. They only fed her wheat bread and water, nothing more. Then they proceeded to **** all four of them to breed new generations of goblins.


    Michael couldn''t stomach the fact, that things like this happen all over the world.


    The tables have turned against humanity and now, they are the ones being hunted by nature. Even though some of them are strong enough to dance around on a battlefield but other God Slayers can''t do something like that. They will die in a moment notice before they could even know they died.


    "So, what happened next?" Michael asked.


    "We didn''t know that there was a goblin mage in this village and not only that when we entered the forest, they had goblin scouts surveying the perimeter of the forest. They then reported it to the elder of this village and the elder asked for help in a nearby goblin village, which has a population of 100, that is why we didn''t stand a chance against them." She gasped for breath after explaining all that.


    Michael bought a water bottle in the system and gave it to her.


    But she refused and said, "Please don''t waste resources on me, I''m going to die anyway. Just please, save my sister and my friends in the other village, they separated us 8 and took each four of us to become their breeding cows. Now, please kill us." She closed her eyes and awaited her impending death.


    Michael sorrowfully sighed before taking out the fire sword he got from the spider woman and raised it upward towards the seemingly calm skies before bringing it down with his eyes close due to his sadness.


    Shing!


    With one slash of his sword, all of their heads we''re decapitated but strangely, even though it''s disturbing, their mouths were curled up into a smile that seems to reassure him they are in peace.


    Michael looks down on their corpses with sadness emanating for his sky blue eyes.


    As Michael looked at their corpses, he said, "Humanity once reigned supreme in this world with their heads held high as they slaughtered the nature''s balance and now look at them, begging to die. How humanity has truly fallen."


    (Flashback End)


    He left the goblin village with his God Arc held in his right hand but not before looting the entire place. He found many kinds of weapons and armors there in the blacksmith house of the goblin village but the foods in the village were kinda icky, so he didn''t take them. They were literally human meat on the table and he didn''t want to be known for being a cannibal, so he left them alone, never to be seen again.


    But Michael found tons of precious golds under the goblin chief''s house and he was more than glad to store them inside his inventory.


    Even though he didn''t need all those stuff, the feeling of having a large quantity of precious stuff is so good. Golds, foods, armors, weapons, everything that is precious to him is quite enticing to take. Well as long as it''s free, it''s okay to take them.


    Michael now ventures towards the other goblin village to rescue the other four girls held captive inside by the goblins.


    But he is afraid that their souls are already broken like those girls back in the goblin village he just destroyed.


    Michael stepped on the withered leaves as he runs towards the direction of another goblin village, where the other girls were imprisoned.


    (1 Day Later, May 29, 2450)


    Near in the middle of the trees, you can see blood splattered all over the place. And there were goblin heads and bodies everywhere and behind the corpses of those goblins, you can see a teen around the age of 16 with sky blue eyes and black hair stepping on the corpses as he walks without any care for the goblins. This teen is Michael, who just killed the goblin archers that guards this perimeter of their village.


    He had just been attacked by 8 goblins and he slaughtered them all with just his God Arc. He is now on his way to rescue the girls but he fears that they have already given up hope like those girls back in the other goblin village.


    He looks towards the direction of the goblin village and he sees the front gate of the village. Two knight-like goblin guards are protecting the front gate.


    Michael puts his God Arc on his shoulder and smirked like a mad warrior before rushing towards the unsuspecting guards.


    "Let''s dance!!"

 23 Fair Mistress

    ( 1 Day Ago In The Dark Cave)


    "Who are you!? You shall not filth our fair mistress with your filthy hands, scum!" A male voice said outside of the cave who seems to be defending it.


    Serena couldn''t walk to the entrance of the cave because of her lower body being unable to move but she can still hear what is going on outside. She felt like if she doesn''t do something about this, she will regret it forever. So she said, "Hallel, who is the creature in front of our home?"


    "It''s a headless body with no legs, it seems to female according to its appearance, milady" The male voice answered.


    She was shocked as to why there is a creature like that. "Oh the poor thing, bring it inside, I want to see it myself," She said with a voice filled with pity towards the crippled creature.


    "Bu-But mistress, this creature may attack you and I wouldn''t be able to do anything if it suddenly rushed at you fiercely." He said in concern.


    "Has it attack you yet? Hmm?" She asked.


    "N-no, but-" " No buts, bring her here Hallel, that''s an order from your mistress." She cut him off before he could even form a sentence.


    The guard felt indignant about it but he had no choice but to oblige to her, she is his mistress after all. So, he carried the headless, legless body inside the cave with both of his hands.


    In the darkness inside the cave, it was lit with torches surrounding the insides of the cave. A hallway coming from the entrance and there you can see, a humanoid creature donning a full set If a dirty silver armor. He has a black shield on his back and a long sword on his waist. He carries a headless body on his arms without its legs. He noticed that the body felt somehow cold...like it was dead, but that is impossible he saw the body move towards the entrance of the cave.


    The body had a black mark on the left side of its stomach and when the Fair Mistress saw that, tears formed under her eyes before it rained down like a river.


    It was her sister, Sistina.


    "...Sister?" She called out towards the headless body.


    The guard was confused as to why she called the body sister, he knew that the only sister she has is Mistress Sistina. Wait...He looks down on the body and carefully inspected it and saw a mark on its stomach. That''s when he knew, that this body belongs to the first mistress.


    "Milady!" He yelled towards the body with sadness dripping off his voice. and his eyes forming tears.


    She knew it, her sister is already dead. And she knew how the body got here, it must''ve dragged itself back to her home, where she lives. Their body is like that of a spider, even if they lose their heads, they can still move for a little while but they no longer have a mind of their own.


    Her body must''ve felt a connection to this place and dragged itself towards it.


    But even though she can see her sister died because of a God Slayer, she did not feel any resentment towards that human. Her sister must''ve captured that human to turn him to their food and her sister got a little careless or maybe too conceited towards herself that she let the human out accidentally and the human killed her out of hatred. In the end, it was her fault that she perished.


    Serena knows her sister''s personality well, she is a prideful woman and she did not like anyone being above her. Her mother and her sister used to fight a lot because of that.


    But now, she is the only one left in the family who is sane.


    She smiled wistfully as she remembered her happy times with her family before looking towards the grieving guard and said, "Hallel, I don''t have much time and I will only tell you this because I may die unexpectedly some of these days, " Hallel looks at her while crying behind his helmet.


    "When I die, please go on and live your life to the fullest, you have been serving me and my sister for too long and I only want you to be happy because you''re the only one I know who is alive and still cares for us, but I want you to look out for my other sister, the eldest one. She had already been consumed by the dark magic she practiced, so please, be careful when you see her, for her mind has been poisoned with dark magic." She said. Now that her sister is dead, her body is already failing because of the sorrow she suffers because of the sudden death of her elder sister.


    Hallel couldn''t make any words to say to comfort the sick mistress. He felt so useless now. If her milady and her sister did not save him on time from those goblin traitors, he could''ve been a corpse by now.


    He kneeled down on one knee before saying respectfully "Yes Milady Serena." Now that the first mistress is dead, he does not have anymore motivation to live except for these words of her Milady. He will fulfill them and live his life with happiness to the very end.


    Serena nodded satisfied with her servant, she smiled weakly but her smile did not reach her sorrowful pearl-like eyes.


    And one day later, she succumbed to her sickness and died with her eyes glistering with sorrows as it closed.


    Hallel took off his helmet and mourned for his milady. His skin was colored in green and his eyes were green but his hair was blonde. He had the face of a man when in fact, he is a hobgoblin. An evolved version of a normal goblin.


    He placed the body of Serena''s sister near her side before kneeling down in front of then and silently mourning for the two deceased spawns of Arachne sisters.


    After mourning for 4 hours, he stood up and said his goodbyes to his mistresses before going out of the cave.


    He never wanted anything except maybe live with his now-deceased sisters. He just wanted to serve them but that is no longer possible.


    He cried one last time for the two sisters before taking off with loneliness inside his heart in the never-ending sea of trees in the forest.

 24 Meat Shield

    "Let''s dance!" Michael yelled like a crazed warrior as he rushed towards the two goblin warriors. The two goblins, who were wearing full plated armors, noticed him and they took out their short swords and shield before getting ready for the incoming attack.


    Michael took out his tri-edge dagger from his inventory before throwing it towards the head of one of the guards and jumped upwards with his God Arc on his hand before he slashed it towards the other guard.


    In one single cut of a moment, the two goblin guards died in Michael''s hands.


    Michael knew he is in for some crazy horde of goblins coming to attack him. Goblins are naturally small creatures, at the size of a 10 years old child, and although they are kinda weak, but in a horde, they can be quite troublesome opponents.


    But Michael''s mission here is not to just slaughter them all but to rescue the other women trapped inside this hellhole.


    And the way to get there is, you guessed it, to cause a massacre.


    Michael walks into the gate with his piercing blue eyes shining in a cold light.


    When he entered the gate, he saw 70 normal goblins ready for him at any moment''s notice. Houses made of stones and woods constructed in a straight line facing each other. Clubs, swords, spears, they all held those kinds of weapons and they are all made of pure steel.


    Their weapons shined under the sun''s blinding light and Michael smirked before gesturing them with his hand.


    "C''mon bitches, let me see what you all got," Michael said confidently.


    All of the goblins charged at him as soon as he finished saying those words. Their ugly faces twisted with furious expressions.


    "God, you goblins look like shit, " Michael mocked them as he bent his knees a little before dashing off towards the group of dozens of goblins charging towards him.


    Those words seem to anger them more further. As Michael rushed, he licked his ring on his left hand before a large thunder explosion occurred and all of the goblins were blown away.


    In the place of Michael was a large wolf as big as a car, its white fur was thrown back by the wind and the lightning energy coursing throughout his body shined brightly.


    The wolf seemed to smile before licking its lips threateningly in front of them.


    They immediately backed off and sweated behind their backs when they saw the Wolf licked its lips.


    Despite its size, the wolf disappeared from its place with pure speed and before the goblins could process it, 20 goblins were sliced in half with the wolf''s lightning tail blade before the wolf released a shockwave within 5 meters radius, shocking other goblins to death.


    There were now only 36 goblins left and now they were paralyzed on their spot because of the shockwave that Michael released.


    The wolf opened its mouth and lightning particles started to gather inside its mouth before he closed it off and released it on the paralyzed goblins, obliterating them all instantly.


    But Michael did not let his guard down immediately because there are still 30 or more goblins in the village. There may be a hobgoblin or a goblin mage here and the worst of them, a goblin necromancer. He remembered them from Adalius''s memories.


    Goblin Necromancers can summon undead creatures and their stature are bigger than normal goblins, around the height of a normal human teen but their faces and bodies are still as disgusting as ever. Hobgoblins are the evolved form of a goblin, contrary to their cousins, their bodies and faces look similar to humans but the rest are still goblin-like.


    6 minutes have passed and the other goblins still haven''t shown up. A bad feeling rose from his heart and he knew, things could get little out of hand.


    The entire area where he was, is so quiet. You could even hear a pin drop if there ever was one.


    Since there was no goblin showing up, he tried to find the cells where they are keeping the girls because, for some reason, he hadn''t seen a single imprisoned girl around these parts. Last time he quickly found them but now, he couldn''t even see a shadow of them.


    The bad feeling kept growing and growing until he felt restless. Now he knew, something was going on and he didn''t like it, not one bit.


    Suddenly! Three fireballs flew behind his back but he easily blocked it with his tail and turned around to see who was the one throwing those fireballs.


    On the other end of the straight line of houses, he can see 20 goblins, 4 goblin mages, and a hobgoblin, who seems to be their leader.


    The hobgoblin was wearing a brown steel armor covered in leather and a long sword on his right hand, a shield on his left hand.


    But there was one thing that made Michael furious, he saw 8 injured girls tied in a big wooden shield naked, telling him that this is their meat shield.
