《Teleported to Another World. Why am I a Vampire》 1 Prologue His gray bedroom¡ illuminated by a single red light coming from the computer. It was almost morning, the digital clock besides him showing that it was 06:00 am, but he just finished playing his favorite strategy game on the computer, and just now he went to sleep. Since he stayed up all night playing video games, the simple touch of the bed made him fall asleep in seconds. If he didn¡ät had sleep so easily, he could have seen the strange phenomena that beset his bedroom. The red light faded. The digital clock went bananas, hours and minutes passing at an incredible high speed, until the clock finally broke. Darkness, a whispering wind passing through the doorway, bringing an unfamiliar cold to the room. The mirror that his parents just recently bought for their bedroom, left in his room because they were still deciding in what place to put it, was slowly covered by a strange dew. Despite all of this, his body didn¡ät react, and the sleep went on nine hours straight without having any problems. When he finally woke up, with only one quarter of his brain functioning, he didn¡ät move at all. "Its kinda cold." He thought. Four minutes later¡ "I¡äm hungry." Still in bed, his eyes closed and almost making him sleep again. His mind wouldn¡ät let it happen though, the stomach was already asking for food. Two minutes later¡ "I¡äm really, really hungry." Now three quarters of his brain functioning. "Do I have any chores to do? I don¡ät remenber..." An shiver ran down trhough his spine. "Why it¡äs so cold?" He finally got out of the bed. Dizzy in mind and body, he opened the door of his room and was surprised but an whispering dark wind. "This doesn¡ät make sense, it should be, like, sunny. My house was never so dark like that¡ why can¡ät I hear anyone else and whats up with this wind?" By memory, he tried to get to the bathroom so he could wash his face, but the moment he turned to the right and extended his right hand to search for the wall, he was greeted by a slimy, rocky wall so cold that burned his hand. -"!Ughur!" He shouted, and the slimy sensation was still present. "Arrg, what is this?! Now that I think of it, this place is insanely cold!!" And it was at this moment Reynauld realised, this wasn¡ät his house, and that he wouldn¡ät be seeing her anytime soon. 2 The Cold Dungeon Outside Clean hands? Check. Warm clothing? Check. Broken clock? Still broken, check. My black windbreaker and my gray cargo pants? Check. Source of light? Mehh¡ I left my cellphone in the living room, and I don¡ät think I¡äm going to get there anytime soon. It seems like my hands will have to touch the cold rocks and get slimy. I can¡ät see my right hand right now, but I¡äm pretty sure it must be glowing red. Making a provisory glove with one of my shirts, I venture out of my room. The proof that this tunnel is not human made is the unstable floor. My slippers isn¡ät the best thing to protect my foot against the cold, the rocks and the murky slime that seems to cover everything. Luckily, I had some socks to warm my feet with, but the situation still continues to be precarious. So, with my right hand on the wall, my foots trying to map the floor around me, and my memory trying to remember the way back to my room, I slowly walk into the unknown. Some slips here and there, one fall. The dark is starting to show some figures, my vision is probably getting familiarized with the place. -"Where i-is my house, How to sing it: Where am I-I? Where / i-is / my hou / se Where i-is my house, Where / am / I / I Where am I-I?" Singing my way through the tunnel, I finally stumble across something. It appears that it diverges into three paths, but more importantly, there is something in the ground. I kick it with my left leg, and an odd metallic sound echoes through the cavern. -"What is this?" I¡äm really starting to get desperate. "Why is my home gone? This doesn¡ät even make sense." I slowly go down, trying to reach whatever I just kicked. A feeling of leather (and slime) envelops my left hand. -"Iiiiits so cold. Is this a pair of boots? Lucky me, maybe I¡äm dreaming or something. But the problem is that the chills I¡äm getting from this dark cave is really making me NERVOUS. The cold burning my hands is too REAL. There is no way this is a dream." Busy trying to figure a better support for my foot while moving my hand through the various items in the ground, a glimpse of a weak white light passes through the corner of my eye, but suddenly disappears in the darkness. -"Is someone there?" I ask. My voice echoes, without a response. -"IS, SOMEONE, THERE!" I shout. Nothing in response. Well, this is starting to get a little scary. My hands found out a dead body. Yes, a dead body. Someone died here, and the only thing left of the poor soul are the bones wearing his slime filled clothing. His boots will make a fine companion though, I will finally walk in this place without hurting my feet, so I put them immediately. Alongside the boots, the man was wearing what appears to be am medieval gambeson, a little rusty on the texture but bulky as it probably should be. I remove my windbreaker and wear the gambeson. It does not hinder my movements, neither feels too heavy, despite being a bit oversized. Not wanting to leave the windbreaker behind, I put it over the gambeson. The wind that runs through this tunnel is weak, but carries a terrible cold. Now, it¡äs time to discover what was that light. I¡äm a little fearful for what I might encounter, but I can¡ät stay in this tunnel for much longer. It¡äs freaking me out. The moment I step into the path where the light was, something metallic gets kicked by my boots. Upon closer inspection, a sword. -"Well, my hands should stop trembling a little now. At least I have a weapon." I remove the wrapped shirt around my right hand, and wrap it on the left hand. With my left hand on the left wall and my right hand with the sword, I quickly proceed through the path. Whatever it was, despite I taking some time looting the body, if I walk fast I must be able to see the light again. Adrenaline starts to bump up, along with her my fear vanishes. It does not take long. Some minutes of fast walking, and I finally realize that the sound of my footsteps isn¡ät actually my footsteps alone. Why is he running from me? Something is off... I accelerate the pace, the light starts to show up. He is starting to slow down. I can see his figure now. He is carrying a spear of some sort. I¡äm going to get him in the next corner. Both of us start to run. My eyes start to blurry out from the light and when I finish the corner¡ -ZAASS! I barely block the blow of the spear with my sword. With my vision now totally blurred, I act quickly and wrap my left arm around the spear, grab her with all my might, and push it into my direction. The figure tries to hold, but easily loses the grip of the spear and stumble backwards, falling into the floor. -"aaaaa!" The feminine voice echoes. -"What?" I slowly start to open my eyes. A long Purple hair. It¡äs a girl. She wraps her head with her arms and, with a crying voice, says -"Sorry, please, spare me! I was just trying to seek revenge for my father! Just that!" and immediately starts to cry out loud. When the blurry finally goes away, I see the source of the light. Her fingers! Her fingertips are like little lamps! -"Your fingers¡ are glowing. How?" Her thin and small figure unwraps, and she looks at me somewhat scared, somewhat confused. -"Y-you, are a vampire!" She gulps, and then raises up slowly. "Please, spare my life! If you spare I will be your servant for the rest of my life, but please, spare me!" "Are you kidding me? Tell me, what kind of prank is this? Why is my room inside a cavern? I want to go home and eat-" -"aaaaa! Please, spare me!" She lays down on the floor, wraps her arms around her head again and repeatedly asks to be spared. While trying to understand what is happening, I notice the strange clothing of the girl. It¡äs obvious now how I reached her so fast, despite taking a long time looting the body. She is wearing a gambeson, like me, but over the chest she wears a plate mail. Her hands are protected by a metal gauntlet, and she wears boots that go almost past the knee. -"Aaaaa!Aaaaa! I don¡ät want to die, please, spare me!" She starts to tremble. Maybe the same happened to her? She spawned inside her bedroom here and is now searching for her home? Then why did she said something about vengeance? And about vampires? -"C-Calm down lady, there is no need to be terrified. Tell me, what happened?" -"A-are you going to spare me?" She wipes the tears out of her blue eyes. -"I¡äm not going to kill you, just tell me, how did you got in here?" -"I-I entered this cave to kill the giant spider that lives here." She¡äs not answering my questions, and is babbling nonsense''s. "My father was accused of a crime that he didn¡ät commit, so to prove his innocence he offered himself to slay such a monster. But he never came back!" A giant spider? A cute little girl? Medieval clothing and weapons? Also, her fingers are glowing! This seems fishy¡ -"Are you going to help me defeat this evil monster?" I lend her a hand so she could get up. -"Y-yea, sure." 3 The Fight with the Giant Spider At first, I tried to convince her that we should assemble a party first before confronting the monster. If there is really a giant spider out there, the best course of action is to flee. I¡äm not a super hero, neither do I have some kind of abnormal knowledge in an ancient martial arts¡ well, not an abnormal amount, but just a little bit about swordsmanship. The problem is: We are in the deeper part of the dungeon, and the only way up is through the spider¡äs nest. The little girl here fell off a cliff near the entrance, and ended up here. -"So, what is your name?" I ask while following her through the tunnel. -"I-Im Roxana." She stutters. "A-and yours?" Should I tell her my real name? Well, I don¡ät see any problem with it. -"I¡äm Reynauld. Nice to meet you." The small run we had before made my body warm up, so I removed my windbreaker. However, my head was still kinda icy because of the wind, so I wrapped the windbreaker around my face, to protect it. -"Tell me, Roxana, how old are you?" -"I¡äm 14." I imagined myself when I was 14 years old. Yep, I wouldn¡ät defeat any kinda of monster, and I still think I can¡ät defeat it. -"What is your plan to defeat this monster? I don¡ät think you have the strength to wield this spear in my hand..." -"I-I know I don¡ät have the strength. My father was the lumberjack of the village, he was one of the strongest in my hometown! I planned to defeat the spider with magic but..." -"But?" She stops and gives me a weird look, probably because I look awfully weird with this windbreaker in my head. -"What are you looking at? My face is ice cold! Aren¡ät you feeling cold too?" -"You are a vampire. You must be able to easily defeat the spider with your strength, even without magic!" She is speaking nonsense''s again. -"Look, girl, I¡äm not a vampire. I don¡ät have any kind of superhuman strength neither do I know any spells or magic. If you are counting on me to defeat this monster, know that I will probably die in the fight if I do so." -"Y-you are not fooling me! You are as pale as snow and I saw your fangs earlier when you stumbled upon me!" Pale like snow? Fangs? I look at the slimy rock walls. The slime thing actually reflects the light coming from Roxana fingers, working as a mirror, so I find a flat part of it and look at myself. The image is a bit blurred and distorted, and I can only see the skin of my hands and face, but they actually look more white than normal, despite the red tone. It must be because of the cold. I toss aside the spear, unwraps the shirt and search for the fangs with my left hand. I sense something different, but my hand is too cold to feel anything. When I look at my hand after finishing the search, however, she was actually covered in blood. -"This can¡ät be." -"I-if you wanna make me believe in you, you better show me your status first! And r-remember that you promised not to kill me!" Status? What is she talking about? I was not sure if this was a dream or not, but now that my hand is injured¡ I¡äm feeling a small pain. I¡äm in the "real" world, for sure. -"How do I show my status?" -"A-are you making f-fun of me? Even children know how to see their status!" -"Let¡äs strike a deal then, you show me your status, and I show you my status." She pauses for a minute and gives me another weird look. -"I-it¡äs a deal then." She closes her eyes and, in a few second, a white screen appears before her. Like a little tablet, she grabs it and give it to me without delay. Surprised, I began reading her status. ~*~ _______Roxana della Trieste_______ Birthday: 09/10/254 (The 5th age of this world) Age: 14 Class: Peasant Race: Human Master: Reynauld #Skills# #Spells# Home chores 2 Luminous 1 Cooking 2 Fighting 1 Magic 1 ~*~ Alongside this information, her status screen would go on and on. There was even an abilities tab, and an attributes tab, but most of the details was covered by black bar, like it was censored or something. Did she censored it on purpose, or do I need to discover it to properly see it? Like, she has other spells, but on the screen only one is not censored. I need to know. -"What are your other spells?" -"I¡äm not going to tell all of them, but I know how to cast a Fireball." The moment she said that, her status screen was updated, showing Fireball 1 below Luminous 1. I gave her status back. Now I need to figure it out how to open my status. I close my eyes. She probably concentrated or spoke some magic word like "Status!" in her mind. I start to think about my status screen. An image starts to appear, but it¡äs not clear yet, like some kind of cloud was distorting the light. "Status!" I say to myself. The image becomes clear. ~*~ _______Reynauld_______ Birthday: 05/04/250 (The 5th age of this world) Age: 18 Class: Peasant Race: Human #Skills# Swordsmanship 2 Fighting 2 ¡ #Effects# #Diseases# #Attributes# Fangs 2 Vampirism (1%) Evaluating... Albino Skin 1 ~*~ The same black bars covering the status screen of Roxana were covering mine. There were even some "Evaluating" spots on the screen. It seems that, if I don¡ät know, it won¡ät appear on the status. -"Why are you taking so long? Let me see yours." She asked. It seems that it¡äs true that I¡äm a vampire. Can I hide some informations from the status screen? "Hide, Race." I say in my mind. I open my eyes. It didn¡ät work. My race stills shows up as human in the tablet. I give it to her, and she says astonished: -"I knew it! You are a vampire!" She gives me back the tablet. It seems that I can¡ät fake my status¡ or I don¡ät know how to do it yet. Anyway, I will have to trust her. After this long conversation, we finally reach the end of the tunnel. An expansive room, covered in slime and webs. Hanging on the walls were eggs the size of my hand, skeletons, weapons, armors and various other items. -"I will stay with the spear, you stay with the sword. You don¡ät have the strength to wield neither, but the sword is less heavy. I will distract the spider. Prepare yourself to land a critical hit with that fireball of ours." -"Y-yes! I will also make the room brighter." She stand still for a second, lifts her right hand, and cast the spell. "Luminous!" A small ball of light comes out of her hand and goes flying all the way to the middle of the room. The light is weak, but sufficient to cover everything. It reveals a lot of small spiders, who run away from the light, entering the various tunnels around here en mass. -"Lets go!" I shout, running towards the center of the room. -"The exit is that tunnel there!" She points to a tunnel leading upwards. Some medium sized spiders, reaching the height of my knee, tried to attack us in the way. Their strategy was poor though, they jumped right in front of us every time, so it wasn¡ät difficult to immediately put the iron spear between me and them, making them fall on the spear. Some of them didn¡ät die even when impaled, so Roxana usually gave the finishing blow to their heads right after the impalement despite fearing them. She started to get a look of vengeance in her eyes. The spiders were very weak. Their bodies couldn''t¡ät handle the sharpness of the iron, giving them profound injuries whenever they met him. None of them produced webs, apparently. Reaching the middle of the room, I was starting to gain hope that we would not encounter the giant spider Roxana so talked about, and leave this place without further conflict. I watched and read about these isekai situations in anime and novels but¡ I don¡ät have any kind of op powers, at least not yet. Thinking about it, this vampirism thing is called a disease in the status screen¡ maybe I was even nerfed? When we were almost near the exit tunnel, a rock covered in slime suddenly moved, revealing a spider as tall as myself. The spider blocked the way to the exit like she knew it we were coming for that tunnel. We stopped. Roxana positioned himself right behind me. The spider had six eyes in her head. They were all looking at me, I could my reflection in them. Now that I think of it, why would I think we could face such a monster? A lot of adventurers perished, their skeletons are all over this place. This spider must not only be giant¡ but intelligent. Suddenly, Roxana charged by my side directly into the spider, launching fireballs with her hand. The spider jumped to the right, while Roxana stumbled upon a rock on the floor. Tall, bulky and strong, the spider had nothing to fear from my spear. She charged in with all her might, going for Roxana. I advanced, looking to intercept her, and gave her an upward blow that was blocked by one of her legs. She stopped for a moment. Her leg didn¡ät had the force to push me off. The iron was slightly cutting the armor of her leg, so I continued to put even more force on it. I can¡ät defeat her. She is too bulky to receive a fatal blow from my spear. I would had to deal more blows to her before I am capable of killing her. Roxana is the one that can do it. Her fireball spell is the key for winning this battle. -"Roxana, are you alright? Please, answer me!" The spider disengaged, and jumped away from me. Roxana didn¡ät respond. I looked at her for a moment, she was still in the ground. Maybe she hit her head or something? It¡äs taking too long, I can¡ät look after her. I approached the spider, holding firmly the spear. The light from Roxana¡äs spell was starting to fade off, but the fireball didn¡ät disappear. Instead, it seemed like the slimes on the wall were burning, propagating the fire. This is it! The spider is covered in slime! If I managed to pick up some of the burning slime with the tip of my spear, the game is over for her! However¡ The spider was standing still, awaiting. If I leave the way open, she is going to get Roxana. If I stand here, she will deliver a crucial attack. I can feel it! Besides, lucky me, the fire is starting to get to the exit tunnel. If I don¡ät act quickly, your exit will be blocked and we will be consumed by the fire. TSK, I have only one option! The fire is spreading too quickly! I will have to leave the way to Roxana open! The moment I step in the direction of the fire, the spider jumps right besides me. WHAT DO I DO? Should I hit her now? No, she will block the blow again! There is no other option, I must move on! Despite she being faster than me, now there is no way back! UGH! The moment the tip of my spear touches the fire, the spider lands on Roxana. There is one way, one way only! I must throw the spear with all my might, with all the strength I can possibly gather, and that¡äs it! I put my right all the way through my shoulder, the tip almost burning my face. -ZuuuuM! It hits the main body of the spider, setting all of her on fire almost immediately. -"!AGAAAAAGH!" She let¡äs out an inaudible scream and jumps away from Roxana, into one of the tunnels. My right arm feels like it was almost going with the spear, the muscles burning for energy. Without thinking, I run towards Roxana and picks her up with my arms. Her head was bleeding, she fell directly into a stone. There is no time for first aid. I won¡ät stop running until I see the entrance of this cave. With both of us in burning clothes, I managed to escape the dungeon. 4 The Village of Trieste My windbreaker was utterly destroyed by the fire. Some of the parts that didn¡ät fell of from my body while I was running from the cave were used as bandage for the head injury that Roxana suffered while in combat. Despite catching a little bit of fire the moment the spider was lit, only some chunks of hair were burned. Other than that, she didn¡ät get any extras injuries. Me, however, I¡äm not pretty good. My right arm is without forces, my muscles don¡ät even move. That moment, when I threw the spear, I think I heard my bones crackling. My breathing is still irregular, I¡äm sweating a lot and my body feels out of energy. I can barely lift up my arm. The entrance to the cavern was in the basis of a small cliff. There was a narrow calloused way that led out of it, into the forest above. The sun was on top of us, which meant that it was 12:00 AM. Probably. I must have spent, like, two hours in the cave. In spite of the clouds in the sky and the leaves up high on the trees, some of the sun rays were reaching the cliff, giving me a slight discomfort. I left Roxana away from the entrance, near the narrow way up. Fortunately, she didn¡ät take a long time to wake up. -"W-where am I?" She asked, with an unstable voice. -"We are out of the cave. Are you alright?" She took quite a while to answer. -"I¡äm not alright. Not at all." She paused for a moment. "My head is¡ confused." I don¡ät think I can carry her anymore. At least not at this moment. -"Can you walk?" I lend my hand to her, at a slow pace getting her up. -"Do you know the way home? I will lead you but we must get there soon so you can safely rest." -"I don¡ät wanna walk, I¡äm tired. I want to sleep." -"No, you can¡ät sleep here, we must walk. Tell me, what is the way to your home?" It seems the fall was really bad. Her eyes are closing randomly and I need to hold her with my left arm because her legs can¡ät stand right. With difficulty, we finished walking the narrow path. -"Tell me, where is the way?" I say with a gentle voice, trying to get her attention. -"Uhm, to the left there is a river and¡ up the river the forest ends and..." She stops again. -"Thats sufficient. When the forest ends I will ask you again. Now you can rest while we walk, ok?" -"Ok." The river was a small brook. The river bank was kinda flat, so it was not difficult for Roxana to walk here. While walking, I summoned the status screen in my mind. As I thought, it had changed. ~*~ _______Reynauld_______ #Skills# ... Thrower 1 #Effects# ... Do I want to be a king? Well, I will probably have to deal with noble politics and be subject to backstabs, treachery and all sorts of stuff. Not to mention that, to become a king, I will probably have to be a vassal first, be granted a poor fief and work my way up from there. Maybe I will have the opportunity to become the strongest being in this world? If that is the case, I need to learn magic, train in a martial art, exercise my body. Also, to be called the strongest, I will have to defeat the current strongest. In life, whether in a fantasy world or in the real one, challenges will come everyday for you to overcome. It¡äs up to you to evaluate the risks and benefits of every opportunity that presents itself. Since I have the privilege to live in this fantasy world, I better enjoy it to the fullest. It took some time to finally get out of the forest. When we finished, Roxana was half asleep. The forest gave up to a flowery plain, quite beautiful to be honest. I could see a village in the distance, however a small church upon a hill was closer to our position, so I decided to bring Roxana there first. The church was made of a white stone and had windows made of blue glass. Upon arriving, I left Roxana resting upon one of the long wooden chairs. -"You can rest here, Roxana." I said. The church was completely silent. I went to the pulpit and still saw no one. -"Is anyone here? Please, I need your help!" Suddenly, the sound of books, a chair and someone falling echoed through the church. -"W-who is it?" Someone responded. -"Roxana is injured, I need someone to help me!" -"Roxana?!" The man came out of a door behind the pulpit. He was wearing an white tunic with some small golden details. He looked young for a priest, maybe 24, 25 years old, but definitely not younger than me. His hair was short and blond. I quickly directed him to Roxana. He unwrapped the straps of the windbreaker from her head, and looked at the injury. -"Here, help me move her to the medical quarters. You must be exhausted, so I will hold her shoulders, you hold her legs." I did as the priest ordered so, although with a little difficulty since my right arm didn¡ät have the strength. We layed her in a small bed, in a room filled with medical assets, some flasks with strange colors, flowers and leaves of various types. The young priest didn¡ät talk during the process. I was waiting him to perform some kind of healing magic, but he performed the usual medical procedure. Roxana was already sleeping, but he washed her head injury carefully. He sprinkled some kind of dust, and then wrapped up her head with proper straps. -"The entire village was searching for her this morning." He said. "We even dispatched 3 groups to search for her, her mother cried a lot. It¡äs good to know that she is alive. Where did you find her?" Should I tell him my story? He won¡ät probably believe I¡äm from another world. -"I was teleported to a cave while sleeping. It¡äs a cave in the middle of the forest. While confused to what had happened, we found each other wandering through that dungeon..." I proceeded to tell him all that happened. -"You actually managed to kill the spider? You must be an hardened adventurer, despite your young looks. Many would be adventurers entered that cave, trying to end such a monster, but almost no one ever returned." He explained. "We must tell everyone what happened and calm the nerves of the citizens. They will probably be even happier by the good news you bought us. The spider will no longer harass us at night." The groups dispatched to search for her only came back at night. The ones who stayed in the village, mainly the wives and children, upon hearing that the giant spider was killed, decided to prepare a party. The center of the village, which was called Trieste, was filled with chairs and tables, foods and drinks of all sorts. Her mother, Helena, personally thanked me for saving her child, as did everyone else in the village. Roxana waked up soon after the search groups returned. She also thanked me, but really if it wasn¡ät her I would probably be dead in that dungeon. In the middle of the festivities, the villagers made me get up in one of the tables and say something. -"First and foremost, thank you all for the amazing feast. This is my first day in this village, and everybody here treated me so kindly. My salute to every citizen of Trieste!" And so, with an uproar the people shouted: -"Hero! Hero! Hero! Hero!" I was a little nervous with all the shouting, but managed to behave properly among the villagers. I slept at a room in the church, lended me by the priest. Roxana returned home, but not before receiving an scolding by her mom and the priest and apologizing to everyone in the village. Before my sleep, the priest, whose name was Alexander, fetched me new clothes to wear and ordered me to the take a bath in the river. -"While you were in the village helping in the feast, I was cleaning the temple. Your footsteps took a time to disappear." -"S-sorry. I will pay more attention next time." At this moment I was very dizzy, so the only thing going through my mind that night was the bed. I didn¡ät even realize the clothing was actually a tunic similar to his until I waked up next morning. The bed was kinda hard and uncomfortable, but the tunic was really nice to sleep with. The difference between my tunic and his was that mine didn¡ät have any golden details, and was a simple white tunic. I asked him if it was ok to wear a clergy clothing despite not being a clergy, but he replied that this tunic was used by people who are just simply serving the church( or being served by her), not actual members of the clergy, so it was fine for me to use it while living there. Also with the church, he fetched me some sandals. My old clothing''s were stored in the church, but I didn¡ät plan to use them since they were damaged by the fire. In the morning me, Alexander and a group from the village went to the cave to be sure the spider was dead. When we reached the cliff though, the entrance had collapsed. The fire probably caused a cave-in. While Alexander and the rest spreaded through the forest, searching for any survivor spiders, I alone stayed at the entrance, looking if any spiders would appear. And one did appear. -"Did you really think it would be this easy?" -"!" I looked everywhere. To the entrance, the cliff, the trees and its leaves. The source of the voice nowhere to be found. -"I was planning on playing with the girl, but suddenly my lair became ice cold, and you appeared out of nowhere." -"Who are you?!" Tsk, I don¡ät even have an weapon with me! I knew it, I knew it was too easy! There is no way I¡äm stronger and smarter then the countless parties of adventurers who ventured into the dungeon only to be slaughtered. But¡ who is this? Can spiders talk in this world? -"Now that my lair is utterly destroyed, I have no other choice than to leave. You defeated me this time, but if you show up at my new lair I will construct¡ be prepared to face me!" Some tree branches falled behind me. I looked back, hanging from the tree was a strange spider girl. She had 6 eyes, some fangs coming out of her mouth, a strange black hair reaching past the shoulder. Her skin was purple, but besides it, she looked like a normal human. She was wearing a black tunic, and in her hand she was holding what appeared to be a purple ball of magic. She closed her hand, making the ball disappear. -"Sleep well, ''hero'', at least my lair is going to be very far from here. I won¡ät disturb this village anymore." And, like a shadow, she disappeared. Upon arriving, I told Alexander and the others what had happened.
