 -1 A New Star

    Dimitri was an ordinary man, he lived with his wife and led a honest life. But everything turned for the worst when a big corporation wanted his land to build a casino. After fighting with them for two years he mystirioly got sick and passed away, but beffor passing away he saw his wife smiling and saying on the phone "It''s done, now transfer the rest of the money to my account".


    "So after fighting for so long I was betrayed by the person I trusted the most" this was Dimitri last thought before finally passing.


    "You stubborn idiot, if you only took the money, everything would have been OK" said Dimitris wife, as if trying to push the blame to feel less guilty.


    But it was already late Dimitri won''t hear anymore his heart stopped beating, he was dead.


    "I can see the light, does this mean I can go to heaven?"


    "Hello Dimitri" said a strange sweet voice


    Dimitri was startled "Who is there, are you an angel?"


    "I am not an angel, but if I have to put it in words that you understand you can call me the Creator, or God" said the voice.


    Dimitri was quit for while, then he kneeled "I am honored that the almighty God himself took the time to talke to me, may I ask if Your Exellency needs something from me?"


    Then God started laughing.


    Dimitri was startled.


    "You are a funny fellow you know that" said God with a laugh "Insted of screaming at me for the injustice that you have bean through, you kneel, instead of asking for an explanation you ask if I need something haha"


    "It''s not your fault for the life I had and for my ending, I would dare blame God for this outcome"


    "OK I made my made you are going to the Deorum world"


    "Going where?"


    "Well you can think of it as the world of Gods"


    "World of gods!?!? What is that world, is it heaven" asked Dimitri


    "Don''t worry, now go"


    Then the voice stated to sound like it came from far, far away and then Dimitri felt like he was traveling at an insane speed. After being in this state for an unknown period of time.


    Then Dimitri started hearing voices "I am sorryMadame... the child.... isn''t breathing"


    "No... no... no no no" there was a women''s weak voice coming from somewhere.


    "I will go notify the Master"


    "Wait!!!!!" screamed a young voice "Look he is breathing" the place went quite.


    "It''s a miracle it''s a miracle" said some one while sobbing.


    Then Dimitri felt a pair of huge hands touching all over his body.


    "What the hell, is this the Deorum world, why can''t I see anything" he asked, but the only sound that came was baby making noise.


    "What the hell, am I a baby, was I just born again" after struggling for a while Dimitri got tired and feel asleep.


    "He looks so healthy, and he didn''t even cry, the young master will be a great warrior, have you thought of a name Madame?"


    "Yes, Maximus. My son Maximus Dacian"


    The days turned into weeks, weeks into months and months into years. After living in this world for almost seven years Dimitri accepted this new reality, he was now Maximus Dacian, the son of the local Lord.


    This world had a medieval air about it, there were guards using armors and everyone knew how to use weapons like swords, spears, daggers etc. Maximus wasn''t scared to live here in this strange world l, if anything he was excited, becouse he saw people fly in the air and using their own hands to smash a rock into tiny pieces. This was a world where the people trained martial arts like in movies and books, but one could only start at the age of seven if done earlier with could destroy the body potential, even so dialysis exircise was important.


    "Two more weeks and I can go trough the Awekening Ceremony, then I can aweken my spirit power" said maximus to himself.


    In this world every person had affinity to certen elements, by going trough the Awekening Ceremony one could find his elemental affinity and train in a more efficient way.


    "Young Mater, let''s go, your reading lessons are about to start, then you have your father, the Lord, wishes to see you."


    "Humph, my father you say" said Maximus with disgust. His father, Johnson Dacian treated him like he didn''t existe, becous two months after his fathers first wife had a child, and when he was born there was a natural phenomenon of a Phoenix right above the Mansion. In this world when a child is born and there is a natural phenomenon it''s usually a sign that the child has great talent and desteny. So after that Maximus was given the cold shoulder by almost everyone, including his own father, becous everyone expects his younger brother, Arnold, to be the next clan head and a great warrior too. Growing with all this attention and expectations made his younger brother Arnold an real prick and bully.


    "Let''s go to the lesson, then see what my "father" wants." said Maximus with a sarcastic tone.


    "Yes young Master."


    Then Maximus and the girl went.


    The girls wasnamed Maria, tall and beautiful with long brown hair, brown eyes and cherry lips. She was Maximus personal maid, she took care of him since birth.


    After the boring reading lessons Maximus went to the main hall to see his father.


    There in the main seat was a man in his thirties with red hair sharp eyebrows, red eyes strong built, wearing light grean ronbs, this was Maximus father Johnson Dacian. After seeing Maximus Johnson just said.


    "Sit down and listen"


    Maximus was already used to the expressionless face of his father.


    "Yes"


    "Pack your thinks, tomorrow morning you will leave"


    Maximus was startled with this news.


    "Where will I...." but before he could finish his father said.


    "You will go to a remote villa and stay there, there is no point for you to stay in the mansion"


    "But the Awekening Cere..."


    "Enough, you can do your Awekening there. Now go and pack your thinks"


    "Yes" said Maximus, but inside of him was a ball of rage burning "Humph just they think he has more talent for martial arts and my mother is a concubine I am treated like this, humph I will show them all"


    After he left the main hall Maximus went to hsi room the pack his things.


    "Well, well, well if it isn''t my dear older brother" said a sarcastic voice.


    Maximus knew that it was his younger brother Arnold.


    "What do you want" said Maximus as he looked at him.


    "Nothing much, just wishing good luck on the road, and not to worry I will take good care of your mother"


    When Maximus heard this he snapped after all no matter if he was older mentally, after all this time his mother in this world was one of the few persons who truly cared about him.


    Maximus moved really fast and delivered a punch directly on Arnold''s face.


    "If you touch a single hair on my mother I will fuck*ng kill you"


    "You dare to hit me, the chosen one... You... you..."


    But before he could finish Maximus turned around and left.


    "Humph just you wait, I will make sure you die a horrible dead"

 1 The old Man by the river

    The next morning Maximus decided to spend all of his day with his mother, after all he didn''t know when he would be back. They spent all day in the west Garden that had a beautiful lake with lotus flower growing there.


    "I am sorry Maximus, I tried to convince your father to let you stay here, but I was just a commoner before I married your father. And Madame Elizabeth is the first wife and also comes from the Phoenix clan."


    Maximus knew that usually it was the oldest son who would take the role of the next clan head but becous of his mother origin and his brother talent he was basically being exiled. Even so he smiled and said "Don''t worry mother I will be back in no time, it''s just temporary, when I have the power I will be back". Said Maximus to his mother to make her feel better.


    "I must have been a very good person in my past life to have such a good son now" said Lilly, as she hugged her son.


    When the sun was going down a maid came to the garden and said "Young Master, your carriage is ready, and all the things were carried"


    Lilly started crying as she hugged her son.


    "Mother don''t worry I will be back soon" even if Maximus was older if then Lilly, if counting his last life, she was still his mother who showed him nothing but love and care for almost seven years. Maximus started sobbing a little too.


    After a while Lilly left go of her son.


    "See you soon mother" said Maximus as he left.


    After getting in the carriage Maximus was happy to see a familiar face "Maria it''s you"


    "Yes young master the Lord ordered me to accompany you and make sure you have everything you need" said Maria with a sweet smile.


    "So, do you know where we are going?" asked Maximus.


    "I also don''t know Young Master, but it seems we are moving in the direction of the Bluemoon River" said Maria.


    The Bluemoon River was a river that spanned through half of the Empire, and was relatively close to his clans domain, the Dacian city, the Dacian clan was the local number one power. They were relatively well know power in the Phoenix province.


    The night was beautiful, there wasn''t a single cloud in the sky, there were two beautiful full moons in the sky, both of them gave a lightblue glow. Maximus looked outside and say a big and beautiful river ahead, the water, especially under the light of the twoo moons had, gave a faint blue glow, it was an extremely beautiful sight.


    "It''s really a beautiful sight isn''t in? " askedMaria


    "Yes" said Maximus.


    "I am glad that you like it, becous this will be your resting place" said Maria in a sweet voice.


    Maximus didn''t even react at first, after all Maria was one of the few persons who truly cared about him, she was next to him 24/7 since his birth.


    "What.. did you... just say?" said Maximus with a trembling voice.


    "I said that I am glad that you like this place, young Master Maximus, becouses this will be your resting place, consider this as a goodbye gift from me" then Maria hands glowed with a red light as she stabbed Maximus in the middle of the chest.


    "Why....?" asked Maximus as life left his his head to look Maria in the eyes.


    "Nothing especial, it''s just the moment young master Arnold was born, you were destined to die, it was just that the Lord was too soft hearted and let you live a little longer." said Maria in the same sweat voice.


    The she took Maximus body in her hands and walked out of the carriage. She looked at his weak body, as life was fading away with every breath he let out, and then she threw him into the river.


    "The mission is finished, we need to go back and report this to the lord and Madame" said Maria to the guards.


    Maximus was floating in the river, his body carried by the water.


    "How pathetic, two times was I betrayed by some one close to me. What was the point to be reborn in this amazing world if will die just like that?" this was Maximus last thought before he fainted.


    The strange thing was that even with the such a sever wound on his chest he was still alive.


    After and unknown period of time Maximus woke up, he looked around and saw that the wound on his chest was already healed.


    Then he heard an old voice "Seems like you had a difficult day young man"


    Maximus looked around and saw that he was by the river bank inside a forest, there close to him was and old man with white hair and white beard, he was wearing blue robe that almost lost all of the color from the passage of time. The old man was holding an ordinary fishing pole.


    "Where am I?" asked Maximus confused.


    "You are inside a forest" said the old man in a kind voice.


    Maximus didn''t know how to react to such an obvious answer.


    "Then who are you?"


    "Just an old men fishing" said the old men in the same kind voice.


    Again such an obvious answer. After some time Maximus decided to ask the old man.


    "How do I go back?"


    "Why do you even want to go back, wasn''t that girl someone you trusted, and she still tried to kill?" asked the old man.


    Maximus froze as he stared at the old man. It was already day time, so he must have been floating in the river somewhere from 7 to 12 hours, even if he didn''t move fast, taking into account the size of the Bluemoon River it should be a distence between 50km or 80km from where he was dumped in the river and this place.


    "If this is true, then how did this old man knows about it?"


    Maximus looked at the old man and said "I have to go, my mother must be in danger"


    The old man looked at Maximus and said "Come here, give me your hand"


    Maximus though that the old man wanted to guid him out of the forest so he did what he was told. But then the old man made a small cut on his hand. Maximus wanted to question the old man, but before he could do that he saw his own blood floating in the air, then there was a flash of scarlet and gold light, and then in mid air appeared a golden necklace with a heart locked. The strange thing was that the locket had a tiny blood red flame burning in it.


    "Wh... Wha... What is... that?" asked Maximus in trembling voice.


    "That is a Flame blood locked, it can trace all the people with your bloodline, and check if they are ok or not. The people closer to us who you share your blood live in a castle, of those there is only a single women who can be your mother. So I linked her soul power with the flame, she will be ok until the flame is still burning." Explained the old Man as if talking about something insignificant, but Maximus was amazed to his very soul.


    Then suddenly, af is struck by thunder Maximus had an insane idea.


    "If... If.. If this old man can become my teacher, I don''t have to have to fear anything" Then Maximus made up his made, he kneeled before the old man and said "Please teach me"


    The old man smiled and said "I thought you were never gona ask." then the old man got up and said "Come after me"


    "Yes Master"


    After walking for little over 5 minutes they finally came to they''re destination. It was a big trea with leaves that seemed to be made of Emeralds, of diferente coulers, red, green, blue. In the middle of the tree was a door.


    "Go inside and rest, there is food inside if you want to eat, then tomorrow morning come to the river bank" said the old man.


    "Yes Master" said Maximus, then he went inside.


    The inside of the tree was very big, it had three divisions, a room with a bed and a desk, a kitchen, and a living room that just had a table and so chairs. Maximus went to the kitchen to eat something and then go to sleep, becous from some reason he felt extremely tired.


    Meanwhile outside the tree house the oldwas preparimg to leave went someone said.


    "You old devil actually allowed a human to stay here, you even took him as your disciple?" then a beautiful silver haired men, with silver eyes, wearing a silver robe, exposing his chest, and holding a long golden smoking pipe appeared next to the old man.


    "Humph, what do you want you lizard" said the old man.


    "Lizard!?!?! You wanna fight?!?!" said the silver haired man.


    "The boy..." said the old man in serious tone "he has the most clear and powerful soul I ever saw in my entire life."


    The silver haired man face changed "How is that possible, if it was true the moment he was born there should have been an extremely big natural phenomenon" said the silver haired man in a serious tone.


    "From what I felt his soul was restricted by some law. But that is not the problem." said the old man.


    "Then what it is?"


    "I can feel that he has suffered a lot, and if the boy chooses the wrong path then this could very well be then end of our entire world." said the old man. "That''s why I want to teach him, so that he doesn''t go down the wrong path. I will need your help too Argenti, the silver Dragon"

 2 Preparations

    Maximus woke up earlier in the next morning. He went to the kitchen to eat something and then ran to the river bank at his fastest speed.


    At the river bank the old man was still standing there with his fishing pole in hand and a serene expression in his face. Maximus came close, bowed and said "Good morning Master!"


    The old man didn''t even move, he just said "Come, seat here next to me" Maximus nodded and sat down next to the old man.


    "Tell me first, what is your name?" asked the old man.


    Only after hearing the old''s man question did Maximus realize that he didn''t even introduce himself to his master. "My name is D.... Maximus, it was given to me by my mother"


    "Maximus, Maximus, a great name. Then tell me Maximus, what truly starts a civilization, is it a strong warrior who controls all with his strength or is someone who is just and benevolent to all people?"


    Maximus thought that these questions were strange, he didn''t even know why he almost said that his name was Dimitri. After all that was a name that brought nothing but pain to him. Then Maximus started thinking of his old life, of his farm and off all the people that he knew, including the women that he loved more than life itself, who betrayed him. Maximus entered a state of melancholy. He didn''t notice the passages of time. Then he remembered about the time he spent with his grandfather working the land. His grandfather always used to say "Let us not forget that the cultivation of the earth is the most important labor of man. When tillage begins, others arts will follow. The farmers, therefore, are the founders of civilization" every time Maximus heard him say that he felt very proud of his job. Then he felt like something that he lost a long time ago came back


    Maximus looked at the old man said with a smile "A farmer to work the land"


    The old man was momentarily startled, then he started laughing out loud.


    "HAHAHA!!! A farmer that''s a good one. Then why is it a farmer and not a powerful Martial Artist?"


    "Because the farmers are the founders of civilizations. They are the ones who start the cycle of life" said Maximus.


    The old man fell silent as he looked at the already dark sky and said "Maximus, master will tell you a secret. I think you are the only person to ever say that a simple farmer can start a civilization."


    Maximus looked at the sky too and noticed that the sky was already dark and full of stars.


    "Go and rest, there is nothing else to do for today. I can feel that in a few more days your awakening ceremony can be performed. Until then, you can just play around the tree house, but don''t go to far"


    This day didn''t make any sense at all to Maximus, but he was too excited about his awakening ceremony to give it too much thought.


    Some time later after Maximus left.


    "So old fart, did you put him in the Nirvana trans to find if he will be a monster or a savior?"


    "Argenti have you ever heard of someone ever say that the ones who start civilizations are farmer"


    "What?!?!"


    "That kid, he doesn''t seek power for "Good" or "Evil" he just seeks.... properties for all beings."


    "How can you be sure. What if in the future, when he has the power, he decides to destroy everyone for a greater good like...."


    "Don''t even mention his name Argenti" barked the oldman.


    "Sorry old man. I took a look at his soul too. There is a100%chance that there will be a big phenomenon at his awakening ceremony. There willbe many old "friends"coming" said Argenti


    "Humph let them come, I want to see who will dare to go against me, The Bluemoon Devil"


    "Haha we two friends have been silent for many years there are many new legends in the world old devil, is better if we prepare" said Argenti.


    "You do that, and also have someone watch after the kid."


    "I will" then Argenti diapered.


    Then Argenti appeared in the air of small and beautiful city. It was Dryadales the city of Elves. Inside the throne room two elves were talking a man and a woman. The man had an authoritative look about him, his face was strict with sharp golden eyes and silver hair, a sharp chin, small nose and slightly pale lips, he had a slim and beautiful body, but the thing that stood out the most were long pointy ears. He was standing looking at the back of the women who had a simple silver gold dress.


    The womanwas breathtaking beautiful, with long silver hair, her pale perfect lips and perfectgolden eyes, with a tinge of silver, and her beautiful long ears.


    "The situation is worse than we though your Highness." said the man.


    This woman was Genetrix, the Queen Mother of All Elves. Genetrix turned around looked at the man and said. "You can leave for now, we will talk later in the morning."


    "But your High....."


    "Leave, Dux" the women repeated herself.


    "Yes you Highness"


    After the Dux left, Genetrix went to the balcony and stood there looking at the beautiful sight of the buildings embracing the nature as if they weren''t made but part of the mountain, and part of the forest. "What should we do?" thought Genetrix to herself.


    "Genetrix I need you to do something"


    Genetrix was startled she looked around and saw Argenti slowly floating down.


    "I great the Great Sil...."


    "Stop with that, listen I need you to do two things. First I need you to send two Saints to protect the boy who is staying with that old Devil, he is only a human child it won''t be hard to find him, make sure he doesn''t see you. Second, eighteen days from now I need all of your Saints and Regnators to come to that''s old''s Devil house."


    Without even giving with much thought Genetrix bowed and said "Yes Lord Argenti"


    After Argenti left Genetrix sent a mental message to Dux.


    "Dux I got an order from Lord Argenti"


    "WHAT, THE...."


    "Listen, first find two Saints and send them to Lord Bluemoon house and tell them to look after a human boy, but make sure he doesn''t see them. Then eighteen day latter we are to gather all the Saints and Regnators and go to Lord Bluemoon''s house"


    "All Saints and Regnators what they need so much...?"


    "Doesn''t matter just do it!"


    "Yes your Highness!"


    After Dux left Genetrix stared at the starry sky that was starting to get cloudy "The undercurrents of the world started moving. A new era is about to begin, I hope we can survive the turbulent time that are about to come" then Genetrix turned around and went inside the throne room.


    On massive floating island was an old man meditating.


    "Lord our spies that there is movement in the Dryadales"


    "The kingdom of those elves. Hmm... if anything major happens notify me immediately."


    "Yes"


    The days passed rapidly, Maximus just spend his time fouling around and exploring the rich fauna in this strange forest. Until finally the day of his awakening came.

 3 Awakening Ceremony

    Today Maximus woke up earlier than usual. The excitement of knowing that he could finally start cultivating didn''t even let him rest well. Even when he was on Earth he would fantasize some times of being able to fly or have super strength. He went to the kitchen to grab some fruits to eat. After finishing, he ran at his fastest speed to the river bank.


    "Good Morning Master" said Maximus exited


    "Hoho you seem very exited today. And you also came earlier than usual, the sun has barely come out." In the last couple of days Maximus always came in the morning to say good morning to his Master.


    "How can I not be? Today is the day of my Awakening Ceremony, I will finally be able to start cultivating."


    The old man looked at Maximus in the eyes and said "Well then sit down and let Master explain what the awakening ceremony is all about, and the different stages of cultivation" said Bluemoon.


    Maximus nodded, he had so basic knowledge about the process, but he knew that the old man could explain it better for him.


    "Well as you may have heard the awakening ceremony happens on the day of the seventh birthday, because the soul is finally strong enough to enter in resonance with the universe, only on some rare cases can it happen sooner."


    "In what cases?" asked Maximus.


    "Well it''s usually happens to those who come from strong Bloodlines like the descendants some powerful expert or divine beast. They usually have their awakening ceremony at age of three because their souls have strengthened enough. But that is not important for now." then Bluemoon continued "When the awakening ceremony happens, the soul will enter in resonance with the universe and their souls will tune with the law that is easier for the person to train in, this way the person will have a cultivation technique provided by the universe to train.To perform the ceremony you usually need an awakening ceremony formation powered by enough energy stones, you don''t''t have to worry about that because will provide with all that" said Bluemoon with a smile.


    "There are more things but for now you don''t have to worry about that. Now let Master tell you about the different stages of cultivation. After the awakening ceremony you will be in coma for one day, when you wake up you will be a Spirit Master, a 1st level one. There are nine levels for spirit master, from level, 1 to level 9. It this stage you just accumulate energy and strength your soul so that you can advance to the Saint stage. After you become a Saint you gain the power of will, which allows you to communicate with the universe, at this stage you can use this power to better shape your body soit becomes powerful enough to handle the power of your law, when that happens you will naturally advance to the next stage, Regnator. Regnator can be considered the downfall of many geniuses, this is the stage where you try to understand and shape the law to better suit you, but this stage is just to far away for now, so don''t worry about it." then the old man paused, as if to let Maximus process the information. After a while Maximus looked at the old man and asked. "But master when I was in the castle I was used to hearing the guards say that they wanted better martial techniques, what is that about?"


    "Well that are just technique that powerful Martial Artists devolved from their respective laws for those weaker people have more attack power or defense. You can call them Martial Arts but not cultivation technique." said Bluemoon.


    "Old devil I already made all the preparation necessary we can begin"


    Maximus was startled by the sudden voice, he turned around and saw a beautiful silver haired man smoking a long golden pipe walking slowly in their direction. Maximus didn''t know how to react.


    "Maximus this is Master friend, he is here to help with your awakening ceremony"


    Maximus bowed to Argenti and said "Thank for your help Martial Uncle"


    "Let''s move then" said Bluemoon.


    At the tree house, Genetrix was there with Dux and all the saints and Regnators that she could gather. "Lord Argenti told us to just stay here and be on high alert and if necessary be ready to enter in defensive formation."


    "Look there they come, the two Lords and the boy" said Genetrix.


    "Well everything seems to be ready, let''s start. Maximus go in the middle of that circle and sit down cross-legged"


    Maximus nodded and did as he was told. The circle wasn''t very big, it had four points were bright white stones were put "Those must be energy stones" thought Maximus to himself.


    "Close your eyes and calm your hearth. I will now start the formation." then, old man Bluemoon started making strange hand symbols, then he pointed at the formation and it started glowing.


    Maximus mind started to drift, he entered a strange state of trance. He started to have a strange dream, like his eyes could cover every part of the universe, he could see the past, the present and the future. Every second was like an eternity and all the eternity seemed to pass in a second. Then Maximus seemed go outside time and space itself drifting in the great dark.


    At this point in time the sky started to get darker, there were signs of thunder forming in the sky. Then the earth and the sky started to tremble at the same time.


    "Old Devil, what is happening here, I never heard of something like this happening in an awakening ceremony!?." said Argenti.


    "I also have no idea, this is also my first time seeing something like this!"


    The trembling got stronger and stronger until it stopped. Then there was a loud BANG and then the sky started to get ripped apart.


    "Your Highness wha... what is.... happening here??? I saw plenty of awekening ceremonies, and the only thing that usually happens is that a little cloud with the color of the law appears and sometimes a natural phenomenon, but nothing like this" said Dux with disbelief and fear in his voice.


    Then a pair of giant hands appeared in the cracks in the sky trying to reap the heavens apart. As the cracks got bigger and bigger a titanic body appeared in the sky. The body seemed to contain all the planets, stars, and galaxies in the universe inside of him. Then it imitated Maximus and sat cross-legged in the sky.


    On the floating island in the sky in the temple.


    "Lord!!! Urgent news from Dryadales. There appeared a giant in the sky"


    "A giant in the sky? Interesting" then the old man diapered,


    On a beautiful city build on water, the city of Lympha.


    "Sicarius"


    "Your Majesty"


    "I felt a strange overbearing energy coming from Dryadales, go there and investigate, if necessary use force. Find the source."


    Similar scenes were playing all around the Empire, one old monster after another were going to investigate the disturbance that Maximus provoked with his awekening.


    At this point in time the giant was starting shrinking and getting closer and closer to Maximus until it was overlapped with Maximus. Suddenly Maximus opened his eyes, and they shoot of dark purple light


    "Ahhhhhh!!!" Maximus screamed as he clenched his head before fainting.


    "Old Devil there are guests approaching" said Argenti


    "Humph let them come."


    Then both Argenti, and old man Bluemoon soared in the sky


    "Genetrix, activate the defensive formation on the entire forest, and also don''t let any harm come to the boy" Argenti transmitted mentally to Genetrix.


    "Yes Lord Argenti!" then she turned to everyone else and said "Half of you activate the Gaia formation, the other half will stay here with me and Dux and protect the boy"


    "Yes your Highness" said all the elves in union.

 4 Display of Power

    In the air close to where Maximus was did his awekening ceremony, one person after another materialized, there were about ten people, both man and women among them.

Rage started to burn inside him.


    Then he saw his wife, Kate, hiding in a corner terrified. Johnson rushed over her side.


    "Kate! Kate!!" he shouted, but she just stood there terrified, it wasn''t like she never peoples being killed, but what Maximus did was just to brutal. She could still remember the face of some of them before dying.


    Johnson started to shake her "Kate what the hell is going on?!? Who is that youth?"


    Only now did Kate react, she looked at her husband, and after a few seconds she said "He is a killer sent to kill me and make Arnold lose his focus. Please, Johnson, you have to help Elder Huang kill him!" It must be said that Kaye truly was a shrewd woman.


    When Johnson heard this he didn''t think much, he took his sword from the waist and went to assist Elder Huang.


    Maximus was focused on Elder Huang when he felt a vibration in the air coming from behind, he pushed Elder Huang back and dodged to the left.

    Maximus just looked at him in disgust for a few seconds then said "You fu*king hypocrite. You leave that bitch alive after what she did to my mother?!?!" Maximus was barely controlling the rage inside of him when suddenly a girl came in "Master Maximus your mother''s condition is getting worse, I did as you told me and using the pill you gave me expelled the poison, but her life force is disappearing at an alarming speed, she won''t last longer that two or three days"


    Maximus rage disappeared, it was like a bucket of cold water was used to calm him down. "Fast we need to go!"


    "Wait..." Johnson shouted, but Maximus just rushed to his mother room took her in his arm and disappeared into the night sky.


    Johnson''s head was a mess "Maximus, Maximus, he is.... but....he can''t....but he took her....but....she was...." At this point in time Johnson had much more questions than answers.

 8 Shocking The Phoenix Province

    Teleporting Formations, they were the best way to move around the Deorum World, which was gigantic. The Teleporting Formations were separated in three categories, low grade, middle grade and high grade. The low grade Teleporting Formation were usually built and managed by the big and powerful clans like the Phoenix Clan or the Thunder Sect etc. Middle grade Teleporting were much rarer than low grade ones, and usually only the Empire knew how build those, as for the High grade Teleporting Formations they were something that were left from Ancient Era.


    Elder Huang was rushing with his fastest speed to the closest Teleporting Formation that was under Phoenix Clan control, in less than ten minutes. There were people there wearing the Phoenix clan uniform guarding the formation.


    "Who comes there!? This the Phoenix Clan...." but before that disciple could even finish Elder Huang flashed a scarlet talisman with the insignia of a Phoenix on one side the word Elder on the other.


    "Activate the Teleporting Formation immediately" said Elder Huang.

    Then Elder Huang, with Kate beside him, stepped in the formation.


    The formation was made in a hexagonal shape, to activate one had to use power stones, as they were the best source of energy, not just to power formations but even to cultivate.


    The formation gave a white glow and Elder Huang and madame Kate were gone.


    "That was someone from the upper echelon. He can even teleport directly to the main Palace" said one of the guards.


    "I never even saw someone from that place" said another guard


    "Forget it, small people like us will never be able to see that place."


    In the Phoenix Province the Phoenix clan was the local overlord, they were located in a special mountain range where the energy was so dens that one could even see it with the naked eye, even if a mortal lived here their lifespan would be two or three time more than normally. But that wasn''t all above the mountains were a couple of floating islands. Those were the place for the upper echelon of the Phoenix clan and the place were, only by using the special insignia one could be transported, The Ascending Phoenix Palace, without it you just will be sent to the Phoenix City.


    The Teleporting Formationof the Ascending Phoenix Palace glowed and Elder Huang and madame Kate both appeared.


    "Elder" a disciple bowed respectfully. This place wasn''t so heavily guarded because it was practically impossible to come here without the special insignia or an invitation from the Ascending Phoenix Palace.


    "This is madame Kate, she is Arnold''s mother. Arrange a place for her to stay."


    "Yes. Made Kate please come after me."


    "I want to see my son first" said madame Kate.


    "Humph" Elder Huang coldly snorted "This isn''t the Dacian clan or the Phoenix Cry City down below so do as I say. Now go!"


    Madame Kate could only lower her head, but a cruel light flashed in her eyes "You dare to speak to me this was! Just you wait, when my Arnold becomes the clan head I will make sure you suffer" said madame Kate to herself. Then she left with the girl.


    Elder Huang rushed to the main palaces and stopped in front of huge golden door with the image of a Phoenix undergoing rebirth and all living creatures prostrating before her.


    "I request an urgent meeting with clan head or the protectors" then he bowed.


    After some time the door started trembling and opened. A powerful and pure energy leaked out. This was the most sacred place of the entire Ascending Phoenix Palace, the Nirvana Palace.


    "Come in" said a strong voice.


    "Yes clan head"


    Elder Huang rushed in. This place seemed like an immortal paradise inside, all kinds of rare plants and animals could be seen, and a very strong energy from heaven and earth could be felt, it had small and modest houses scattered around the palace, but Elder Huang knew that inside were the strongest members of the clan, they were the true reason why they clan could live like overlords.

    What Elder Huang didn''t know was that Maximus was consumed by rage that time, he wasn''t displaying his full strength. "But..." Elder Huang didn''t know how to continue.


    "What" asked the same voice but this time with some impatience.

    Then he noticed Lilly''s body which was losing life force at an alarming speed. He extended his hand and a strand of energy entered her body. Argenti face twisted in disgust.


    "Humph such a cruel method, it was done by those disgusting chicken descendants."


    "Can you save her Uncle Argenti, please I beg of you!" Maximus knelled and started begging.


    "I can''t" said Argenti in a sorrowful tone "This is very special kind of poison, I can''t believe they used it on a 2nd level Spirit Master."¡ä


    Maximus froze it was like time had stopped for him.


    "But if could get my hands on the hearth blood of a Phoenix I could save her, but that is impossible. The phoenix hearth blood is the biggest treasure of the Phoenix clan."


    "I will get it!!!" shouted Maximus "Even if I have to slaughter my way in..." but before he could finishold man Bluemoon said.


    "Go and meditate on the lake for one day"


    "But..."


    "GO!"

Like a spectator watching a play, this meditation state could help you better analyze yourself, to see what were your mistake and what should have been the bestcourse of action, it relaxed the mind and soul. But the cost of activating the formation at the bottom of the lake was astronomical.


    In the middle of the lake was the figure of a young man with long black hair wearing a light green robe with blue pants. Around him was silver mist that he was absorbing. This was Maximus, who was sent here by Bluemoon.

    But Maximus just nodded "Let''s go" he said.


    After meditating Maximus became depressed, after all he wasn''t just Maximus, he was also Dimitri, a simple farmer who had lived on Earth. After killing all those people he was thinking about their families. He thought about the kids who left a father or a mother, or about the parents of those masters. Then he started thinking about his wife who killed him for money "If only she had told me... I would have sold that farm just to see her happy, her smile was the only thing that mattered" While thinking Maximus didn''t even notice that he already was in front of the tree house.

    Lilly''s eyes trembled as she slowly opened them "mh..."


    Maximus rushed to his mother side and tears streamed down his eyes "Mother, mother, its me Maximus!"


    Lilly looked at this young man for just a second and tears started coming down her eyes "Max...Maximus look at you... such a big man... and still crying like a babe" Lilly was struggling to talk.


    "Mom don''t talk" Maximus was crying even stronger now "I will kill them. I WILL KILL THEM ALL FOR WHAT THEY DID TO YOU" Maximus was once again losing his control. But who could blame him. His mother who had showed nothing but love was dying in suffering because of someone else. Every person in his place, man or woman would nothing else but to tear the flesh of that person and drink his blood.


    "You... stupid kid... I, just want you... to be... happy. Vengeance will make... more vengeance..."


    At this moment Argenti waved his hand and a soft green glow covered Lilly''s entire body.


    "Mom!Mom!?!" Maximus panicked.


    "Calm down. I had to put her to sleep now, or else her condition would have become worse" said Argenti.


    "Maximus" said old man Bluemoon "What do you want to do now? Train or go kill your way in?"


    Maximus emotions were a mess right now he didn''t know what to do. Then old man Bluemoon said "Master just remembered that I have an Ancient Era treasure that can cure your mother but the process will be very slow"


    Maximus body shook and his eyes widened "MASTER PLEASE SAVE MY MOTHER I WILL DO ANYTHING PLEASE I BEG YOU"


    On the side Argenti wanted to say something but old man Bluemoon gave him a look that said "Don''t" so he just stayed quiet.


    "On one condition. You have to go and experience the outside world, and you are not allowed to come here for 60 years"


    Maximus thought it was strange but at this moment the only thing on his mind was his mother safety, after all she was the closest person he had.


    "MAXIMUS THANKS MASTER BLUEMOON AND UNCLE ARGENTI FOR ALL YOUR CARE!" He shouted loudly and then he left.


    Five minutes after Maximus left, Argenti turned to Bluemoon with his face full of questions.


    "I thought you wanted him to go and infiltrate the Phoenix clan and get the blood? And what was that bulsh*t about an Ancient treasure?"


    "Maximus... He.... He is just too pure" said Bluemoon.


    "Pure? Do you want me to call that spy again to tell you what he did?"


    "You don''t understand Argenti, I saw him on the lake, he was full of remorse, even after killing them with reason. I want him to experience the world for himself. I don''t want him to be a demon who only knows how to slaughter, but I also don''t want him to be a saint who never kills. Let him be happy, let him suffer let him taste the world without our help, without our schemes...."


    Argenti looked at his old friend and said "Are you thinking about your... son?"


    "Yes" said Bluemoon, but one could feel deep pain in his voice.

    "Humph you old fart, you really know how to piss me off. Fine do whatever you want I don''t care" said Argenti as he stormed out, but before leaving he waved his had and an Ancient bottle appeared next to Bluemoon.


    Some time after Argenti left Bluemoon said in low voice "Thank you old friend"

 10 Peace and Quie

    After Maximus left he just kept running, he didn''t even fly, just running without knowing where he was going. His head was a mess. He was full of regret for killing, but he also felt a kind of rush and excitement for doing what he did. It was like two parts of him were struggling, he thought he was gonna go insane. He kept running for two weeks, he passed rivers mountains, finally he just couldn''t take the exhaustion and feel on his back.


    Maximus was panting heavily, he looked around, and he saw that he was inside a forest with a small lake, the forest he was in now wasn''t even close compared to Dryadales forest, it had small trees, small bushes, and all sorts of small animals, like rabbits and foxes, there was nothing special about it. Maximus just kept lying there, his body started to feel heavy, and the exhaustion that had accumulated in the last two weeks finally assaulted him, his eyes started to close slowly and then Maximus fell asleep.


    "Do you think he will be ok?"


    "I don''t know, maybe..."


    "He slept for three day already"


    Maximus eyes trembled and he opened them slowly. The voices he heard had waked him up from his deep sleep.


    "Look dear he is waking up"said the voice of women


    "Hey, how are you? How do you feel?" came the voice of a man.


    Maximus looked around, he was in small simple room, no decoration just walls made of wood. On his right side was a man and a woman, both of them didn''t seem older than 24 or 25 years old. The man seemed like a bear, about 2.5 meters tall wide shoulders and a big manly chest, he had a small brown beard and long brown hair, he had green eyes, and his arms were as thick as a normal person legs. But the woman on the otherwas small and beautiful, especially next to the man. She was 1.8 meters tall, a slim body type, her face even though it was a little dirty, probably from all the house work, couldn''t hide her beauty, she had big blue eyes, a pointy nose and big cherry lips.


    "Hey kiddo did you hear what I just asked?" said the man.


    "Where I am?" asked Maximus.


    "This place is close to Dipper town." said the woman.


    Maximus got up slowly "Thank you for your care, I will leave now" he started to walk out when the man said.


    "Hey kid we took care of you, do you think a simple thank you will be enough!" said the man.


    "If you want money I don''t have any" It was true. Maximus never needed money, after all everything he needed his master, old man Bluemoon, provided for him, he never had left his master side, so he didn''t needmoney.


    "Humph, who said I need money? My wife is pregnant, so she can''t help me on the fields, so I need extra help." said the big man.


    "Dear don''tbe like that I still can work."


    "I will help you" said Maximus.


    He didn''t have anywhere to go for now and wasn''t allowed to come back to his master side for 60 years, so he might as well repay this couple for their kindness.


    "Hahaha, good boy, this is how man should be, repay kindness with kindness. Wife go and prepare something for us to eat, it is already too late to work the fields, we will start tomorrow" said the big man.


    The woman just smiled and nodded at Maximus, then she went to the kitchen.


    The food wasn''t bad, it was a soup with veggies, and rabbit made with apple sauce, something that people made in this time of the year, according to the woman.


    On the next day Maximus and the big man, Ben, went to the fields while his wife, Jenny, stayed home.


    "So kid do you know how to work the fields?" asked Ben.


    "I already told my name is Maximus, and yes I do" Maximus was annoyed always being called kid, he could feel that Ben was just a 4rd grade Spirit Master, which was impressive for someone without any background.


    "I am older so if I say that you are a kid then you are a kid. Then if you know how to work you don''t need me to explain to you what to do. We will start as soon as we get there." said Ben.


    After walking for five more minutes they got to a big field. Maximus almost coughed blood when he saw what was in front of him. The field was full of weeds, it could be seen that it wasn''t properly taken care of.


    "So? It is impressive, right?!" asked Ben with pride in his voice.


    "Are you kidding me? This is garbage!" said Maximus.


    "Oh... why?"


    "First of all look at the weeds, with so many of them all of your plants won''t get enough nutrients then...." Maximus explained everything to Ben.


    Maximus spent almost all morning explaining all about how to work the land.


    "You really do know a lot about farming" said Ben with a laugh.

    Turns out Ben was a small ranked mercenary, he and his wife, Jenny, moved here not long ago after she got pregnant. Ben decided to by the land to be a farmer, but the problem was that he hadno knowledge whatsoever about how to work the land.


    From that day on Maximus spent his days with Ben and his wife. They would wake up earlier in the morning, work the land, while Jenny was doing the work around the house.


    Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months and finally five months after, there was another member in their little group.


    "Hahaha Ben are you sure you are the father? Look at her, such a cute and adorable little girl" said Maximus with a teasing smile, but one could see was very happy for his friend.


    But Ben was just too happy to even tease him back, he just said "With a wife so beautiful as mine how can my baby girl be anything but beautiful. Look she is smiling at me"


    Jenny has given birth to a beautiful baby girl three weeks ago, but she had to stay at the local Dipper town becouse the midwife (typically a woman, who is trained to assist women in childbirth) lived there. So Maximus and Ben came here every day to see her.


    "Have you thought of a name?" asked Maximus.


    "Well actually we thought as her uncle you should choose one for her" said Jenny with a kind smile on her face.


    Maximus was startled, after all giving a name to someone was a big responsibility.


    "Look at how nervous are you!" teased Ben.


    Maximus thought for a while, and then he said "How about Felix?"


    "Felix, Felix, oh look at her she is smiling my little baby Felix" said Ben


    "I am glad she liked it" said Maximus


    "Let''s go Maximus" suddenly Ben said.


    "Where?"


    "We will go celebrate you and me!"


    Then Ben kissed his daughter and wife and left with Maximus.


    "Sir, we found them"


    "Good! How is the situation?"


    "That bitch Jenny just had a kid and is resting in a motel room with some martial masters protecting her and a woman who helped her deliver. As for Ben he is in the pub across the street with some kid."


    "Kill them all but don''t touch Jenny, then when Ben comes kill his kid in front of him" said the mysterious man with a sinister voice.

 11 Ben and Jenny

    Ben was already very drunk, he ended updrinking almost half of a barrel of wine by himself.


    "You are a good kid Maximus" suddenly he said to Maximus who was sitting across him with a half empty mug of some kind ofliquor.


    "I told you to not call me kid. You are not much older than me" then as if remembering something he asked "Ben how old are you"


    "I am 34, I know what you think, I look good for my age right"


    Maximus really was surprised after all he did look young for his age


    "Even so don''t call me kid, and... I.... I am not such a good person." said Maximus


    "Just because you killed someone" asked Ben, even in this drunken state one could see a glow of wisdom in his eyes.


    Maximus almost jumped from his seat "How did you...?!?!"


    "Haha, kid let me tell you something, the moment you opened your eyes Isaw it. But after killing what you felt was pain and regret right?"


    Maximus though about those people and the brutal way he killed them, he started to feel remorse again.


    "Maximus let me tell you a story. About five years ago there was this young lady from some small city who was going to be married into a big clan. The problem was that the young master of that clan was a perverted psychopath, he liked to torture women, and r*pe kids. Everyone knew what he was like, but they still married her off" then he paused for some time, as if to let Maximus digest this horrible truth.


    "And? What happened next?" asked Maximus in low voice.


    "Well after that, there were this guys who knew the girl since they were kids, he was someone with power, he wanted tomarry her after coming back from one of his adventures, but when he got there he found out that she left to be married off. He rushed after her day and night, and when he finally got there he saw that the wading was already going on. So with no other option he consumed a "Soul Eating pill"


    "What is a soul eating pill?" Maximus almost instantly asked.


    "It''s a pill that allows, for example, an early Saint realm to have the power of a peak Saint realm. But in exchange it will consume your soul as the fuel. So with no other option he consumed the pill and killed his way in, stole the girl and run away to a far away remote town, bought a land and became a farmer"


    Maximus froze on the spot, he always had a feeling that Ben was more powerful than he appeared to be, so he was a Saint who fell and now was only a 4th rank spirit Master.


    "Why are you telling me this?" asked Maximus confused.


    "People die every day Maximus, the world is a bad place, I can feel that you are powerful but you are scared to kill. Don''t be, kill when necessary, show mercy when you have to. That brat deserved death, but he had parents and sibling, they mourned his death, even so I would do it all again.     Maximus looked at Ben and felt like something in his hearth was removed "Right we are just Humans, more power, less power, a human is still a human"


    Then they both cheered but then there was a loud BOOM.


    "It came from where Jenny is staying"


    Both Maximus and Ben rushed out of the Pub, but they were horrified when they looked at the place where Jenny stayed. It had collapsed, dozed of people were dead and even more injured. Ben looked frantically around when a teasing voice said "Well, well if it isn''t the legendary Ben "The Berserk" are you looking for this perhaps?"


    Then a man wearing a black clock and a black mask covering his face appeared with Jenny, holding a dagger on her neck.


    "Ben they... they got Felix, our baby she..." bang then man who was talking hit her in the face.


    "Shut up you bitch!"


    "Let her go you piece of shit or I will f*cking ripe you to pieces!!!" shouted Ben


    "uahhh, uahhh" then from the other side of the street came the voice of a child crying.


    "Well then what will it be Ben, your wife or your kid?" asked that man, he was obviously enjoying making Ben suffer like this.


    At this moment, Maximus, who was on his right side said "Ben this is bad they are all Saints, especially that guys who is talking, he is a late stage Saint, I can''t save both of them!" one could hear the pain and rage in his voice.


    "Maximus please I beg of you save Felix and run away from here" said Ben

    At this moment Maximus body exploded with energy, he seemed to teleport to the man who was holding the Felix.


    Before that man could even react, his head was blown to pieces. Maximus took Felix from that man''s body, which was still standing and holding her he turned and saw that Ben was almost out of energy, his soul almost all gone.

    The sun was slowly rising and the first rays of light had barely illuminated the land. Maximus approached to city gate when one of the guards shouted at him.


    "Who goes there!"


    To make things move faster Maximus decided to use his aura to intimidate the guard at the entrance, this way he won''t lose too much time on this city. After all the peoplewho were after Ben and Jenny may still be looking for him.


    When the guard at the entrance felt the powerful aura coming from Maximus he was petrified from fear.


    "I have business to take care inside" saidMaximus


    "Yes Senior" said the guard with a trembling voice.


    Maximus just nodded at him and went inside.


    "Why did you let him go inside without even asking him for his identification?"


    "Are you stupid, didn''t you feel that Seniors power just now.     Maximus went in. Inside was big space with chairs and tables, on the left side was big board with all sort of requests and on the right side were the receptions desks. There weren''t a lot of people inside,but when Maximus entered all eyes turned to look at him.


    He ignored them and walked to the reception.


    "Good morning Sir, how can I help you?" from behind the desk came the voice of middle-aged woman.


    "I want to buy a detailed map and some provisions."


    "What kind of map do you want Sir?"


    "What kind of maps do you have?"


    "We have maps of the city, the different provinces and even of the entire world."


    "How much if for the map of the province?"


    "Different provinces have different prices. The price of the Phoenix province that we are in now is of 2 000 gold coins" said the middle-aged woman.

    After getting everything he needed Maximus went back to the inn. There he asked the same boy who had guided him to go and buy some cloth for the baby and some diapers.


    "Now lets see" Maximus looked at the map, he was looked for a good place to settle down so that he could raise Felix away from all the danger of the world.


    "Humh.... Collis town, a small town in the mountains seems like the best place. It has small traffic, a low number of population. "He turned to Felix "So Felix do you want to live in Collis town"

    Inside the Adventurer Guild that group ofpeople were still waiting for their Boss when suddenly the women face changed.

    It was a strange scene, three manses attacking a young man who was holding a baby.


    It was at this point that the woman who was hiding and waiting for her opportunity made her move.


    There was a small bang and a purple cloud appeared where they were fighting.


    "Crap" Maximus noticedthat this was a poison cloud, it won''t be harmful to him but fatal to Felix.

    Maximus finished feeding Felix and looked at Graystone.

    The group of assassins who was sent by the Benford clan was now back at the Collis village. Three days passed since N. 8 was left behind, normally he should have been back by now. So Kartus, decide to rush back.

    After seeing N. 8 body Kartus expression changed. There were no signs of an intense fight, so the person who killed N. 8 was probably much more powerful than him.

    "My grandpa could just give them Felix and betray Maximus... All of your parents could have done it."


    All the children went silent. It was true, even in the face of death no one said anything.


    "You know why...?" asked William.


    Still, no response came

    Maximus looked at the smiling William and the guilt inside of him only grew stronger.


    When he left he saw the flame of hatred in the others children eyes, but now after coming back he noticed that it was gone, the only thing was pain from losing their families and friends, but also a kind of... pride.


    "Sir Maximus" the girl who was arguing with William came forward and bowed.


    "I beg of you, please can you help us get stronger. Without our families we won''t last long in this world. We don''t want you feel guilty and take pity on us. We are people of the Collis village, even if it was someone, else every single person in the village would have the same thing. We never betray our kin and friends"


    On the side William nodded his head in satisfaction.


    "Hmmm..." Maximus sighed "Looks like I will have to rely on the energy from heaven and earth" he muttered to himself.


    "Today we will rest. And starting tomorrow morning I will perform your awekening ceremony, your ages are from 5 to 12 so those of you who are not 7 years old will have to wait"


    Maximus took Felix from William and went to a corner to feed her "What a mess is my life" he thought to himself.

 17 Blood Mountain

    Maximus was in corner of the cave feeding Felix.


    "This place won''t do they will find us first a place to settle down then comes everything else. But it can''t be a remote place, I still need to be updated on the latest news, but it also can''t be to close to big city''s and towns... " then Maximus found the perfect place, and it was not too far from where they were now.


    It was an old abandoned mine that was not used for many years.


    "Then its settled" then Maximus turned and said "William, come here!"


    "Master" said William as he bowed.


    "Listen, I need you to tell the other that we are leaving."


    "Leaving? But where?" asked William.


    "We are going to the Blood Mountain. We are leaving tonight."


    "Yes Master!"


    In the dead of the night Maximus and all the children left. He decided that the best thing for now was to find a quiet place to settle down, so that he could help the children with their awekening ceremony and raise Felix.


    In about a week they reached their destination. The Blood Mountain. It was named like this because so many people died here when the old mines were working that then stones at the base of the mountain where blood-red.


    But even so the mountain had a certain beauty to it, with the passage of time the signs of the old mines were almost gone. The mountain was like beautiful painting of plants, trees and animals everywhere.


    "Is this our new home?" asked Dixie, the girl who argued with William.


    "Yes" said Maximus.


    "First we will, find a place in this mountain to settle down. After that I will perform the awekening ceremony.


    At his words all the children became exited.


    They were moving up the mountain when suddenly an arrow shoot straight to Maximus. He caught it between his fingers.


    "This is our Black Tooth Tiger territory, if you come to sell slaves we don''t need any, now fu*k off." shouted a middle-aged man from the top of tree.


    Maximus noticed that there were more people around. He could feel a heavy blood scent coming from them. These were people who belonged to a bandit group. But all of them were extremely weak compared to him.


    "Close your eyes" said Maximus to the children, then he turned to the middle-aged man who shoot at him and said.


    "You, take me to your Boss, as for the other... kill each other."


    Those peoples eyes turned dreamy as if they were on some kind of trance and then with a loud shout they started killing each other.


    "After just a few minutes Maximus said "You can open your eyes let''s go"


    When they opened their eyes they were all terrified, the place that was a perfect painting of nature looked more like a painting of hell. There were about 30 or 40 corpses lying around some torn to pieces, some were burnt. They all shivered as they looked. It only took one sentence from their Master and these people were dead.


    "You lead the way."


    "Yes" said the middle-aged men.


    On the way they ran into a few more squads, but with the middle-aged by their side they passed without difficulty.


    Inside the Blood Mountain the old mines were all reused to build something like a stronghold by one of the three big bandits groups of the in the territory of Black Rock City, the Black Daggers.


    Inside a big hall decorated with beautiful paintings and exotic furniture there were two people


    "Congratulation Boss, now that you are a Regnator the other we will destroy the other two groups, and we will dominate this area!" said a small man in a deep voice.


    "There is no rush for now, we don''t want to scare them" surprisingly the voice was very pleased, like a light summer breeze, and it belonged to a beautiful young woman, with long blood hair, big green eyes, cherry lips and small cute nose.


    "Yes of course but..." but before he could finish the door swung open and surprisingly big group of children with a young handsome men leading them came in. They both looked confused for a moment and then the small men shouted loudly.


    "Who the fu*k are you!?! Do you want to f*cking die!!!. Where are those idiots who are supposed to be..."


    "Erick that''s enough" said the women in a calm tone of voice. But one could see the surprise as she looked at Maximus,


    "Who is the Leader"


    "The woman Master" said the middle-aged men as he came from behind Maximus.


    No one even paid attention to him at first as he entered the room.


    "You f*cking traitor I will kill you" bellowed Erick, as he prepared to attack the middle-aged men.


    "That''s enough!" said the women, her voice cold now. And Erick shrunk back, apparently afraid of her.


    "Are you the leader then?" asked Maximus again.


    "That''s correct. My name is Ashley, the leader of the Black Daggers. And who might you be?" she asked with a smile on her face, but one could seethe cold killing intent in her eyes.


    "Is there a quiet place for us to talk."


    Ashley smiled and said "Come after me"


    "William if someone come close to you just shout and I will come" said Maximus to William but Ashley understood the meaning.


    "Erick don''t do anything to them, do you understand me?"


    "Yes"he responded.


    After Maximus and Ashley left the hall went into an awkward silence for a while. The after a few minutes the place started trembling, a terrifying wave of energy came from the top of the mountain and lauds boom and bang could be heard. Every single person in the area of the Blood Mountain looked at the top of the mountain with a terrified expression.


    "What... What... the.. hell is going one?" asked Erick inside his hearth "Could it be that young man? No it''s impossible! Boss is a Regnator now" he said to himself."


    After 10 or 15 minutes the sounds of fighting stopped.


    "The Boss must have finesh..." but before he could finish he saw Maximus appear in the hall with his cloths torn in some place but apparently fine, and behind him "No, how is possible" Ashley with wounds all over her body slowly walked in too.


    "Tell someone to take care of the kids and then treat your wounds, after that come and see me" said Maximus.


    "William come with me" as he said that Maximus took William and disappeared from the hall.


    "Boss what ha...?"


    "Later, first take care of them, and don''t mistreat any of them" said Ashley


    "But Boss..."


    "Do in Erick, that young man..." she paused for a moment as if chose the best words do describe Maximus "He is someone we CAN''T displease, from now one he is the new Boss. We will talk later, now go do what he said I have to treat my wounds"


    Ashley left the stupefied Erick in the hall as she too left.


    On top of the Blood Mountain Maximus looked and the almost disappearing sun and the two moons that were in the sky. He just there with William by his side.


    The sun disappeared and the two moons shone brightly in the sky.


    "Master what..."


    "Do you know why I acted in such a brutal way?" but Maximus interrupted him.


    William was taken aback by this question.


    "Because they were bad people" he said after thinking for a while.


    Maximus smiled at his reply.


    "For me, William, killingis the greatest sin" said Maximus.


    William was startled at his words.

    Maximus just stood there for a while, with his hands clasped behind his back, the two moons glowed brightly enveloping every inch of the land in a light blue mantel, the minutes drifted by silently one by one, William was already starting to think that his Master forgot about him, when suddenly Maximus turned to him and said.


    \"You know why I said that killing is the greatest sin William?\" asked Maximus with a pained expression.


    William thought for a while then shook his head and said \"No master\"


    Maximus smiled and said \"Before I came to your village William, even before I had Felix I was just a kid who lived with his Master. I trained day after day, until my body felt like it would break apart\" Maximus could''t help but smile a little as he thought of those times \"But one day, I found that my mother was in danger and I went to rescue her. When I got there my mother was barely alive, my father first wife poisoned her.\" then Maximus paused and looked at William.


    \"What happened next Master\" asked William with a slight tremble in his voice.


    \"I went berserk and started killing, if it wasn''t for a Master from the Phoenix clan who was there at that time I there to say that I would have killed every living soul in that Mansion\" said Maximus, as if stating a fact \"It was precisely because of that incident that I almost went insane\"


    William eyes widened, how could his Master who was seemed so calm and collected in every situation could say that he almost got insane just because he killed a few people, didn''t he just kill some bandits just a few hours ago.


    As if seeing the confusion in William eyes Maximus continued \"The people that I killed all had mothers and fathers, wives, kids, some evens had grand kids. Do you think in their eyes I was a good person who went to save his mother or some devil that slaughtered their family members, after all i could have just taken my mother and run away from there, no one could have stopped me.\"


    William now understood what his master meant, but even so there was a part of him that thought that there was nothing wrong about this, after all this was a dog-eat-dog world.


    But the Maximus said \"There will come a day when I will redeem from all my sins William, and until that day come I know that I will have to kill, not because I want to but because I will have to. The only reason I told all of this is because I want to change this world William, there is to much greed and violence. A world where massacres like the one in the Collis village won''t happen anymore.


    I want to build A New World. In the past someone once told me that we are just humans and not gods, live without regrets, make your own chooses.\"


    Without even realizing William was already crying, even if he put a strong front he was but still a kid. He swore to himself that when he had the power he would go and exterminate the whole clan of people responsible for the massacre. Old, the women, the children, even the dogs and the chickens.


    \"Master thank you\" said William as he stood up and bowed.

    At this point in time the three elders from Phoenix clan were above the Collis village.


    \"How gruesome\" said one of them.


    \"Something doesn''t seem right\" said elder Li

    \"Do you see those people, the way they were killed is different from that one.\"


    \"Humph maybe he got bored with killing that way and wanted something new, who cares we need to find that little beast first\" said elder Zhang.

This was a powerful artifact that a dececed clan head of the Phoenix clan found in an ancient realm many years ago. Its only function was to show what happened in the area, like a video camera that showed the past, but because it was only a fragment it could only go at most two days in the past

    After the elders left a figure appeared from under the earth, it was No3.

    She closed the book and looked up \"So No3 is following the Phoenix clan elders\"

    \"Excellent!\" said Bellatrix with a sweet smile on her face \" Don''t do nothing for now, just follow them and watch the battle, we need first to better understand our opponent power and character.  19 A Thoug Battle

    Elder Li threw a disgusting look in Elder Zhang direction and was about to leave with Elder Meng


    Ashley was barely able to open her eyes and when she saw the disgusting smile on elder Zhang face her heart froze from fear for a second, only to be replaced with the determination in the next one.


    \"Better death that be with this kind of scum...\"


    Ashley was almost prepared to end in all when suddenly.


    \"Stop!!!\" a thunderous voice echoed through the great hall.


    Maximus flew at a high speed from one of the entrances and shot directly in Ashley direction.


    At the sight of the new arrivel elder Zhang who was the closest to Ashley wanted to attack Maximus at first but then he jumped straight to the group of elders from the Phoenix Clan.

    \"How are you!\" Maximus asked Ashley.


    \"I am ok for now, but we have bigger problems now, they are elders from the Phoenix clan, and not simple elders, but people from the upper echelon.\"

    Zhang you wait for an opening do deal a heavy attack, remember we have to take him alive.\"


    They both nodded.


    Two flamig arrow darted at Maximus, one was elder Meng and the other Elder Li.


    They''re hand in the shape of claws, they both attacked Maximus.


    At this moment Maximus punched at the incoming attack and also jumped backwards to minimize the damage takes, even so his hands trembled.

    Golden sparks flew everywhere. Maximus was about to continue his charge when he felt something strange, turning his head back he saw the blue ball of flame coming after him.


    \"Keep launching attacks at him, don''t let him rest\" shouted elder Li, who was controlling the blue ball of flames.


    One attack after the other came at Maximus.


    \"I can''t drag this out or else is my lose\"


    \"Haaaaa!!!\" Suddenly all the energy started to tremble and the space above Maximus looked like it would be ripped apart when...

    Elder Zhang who was waiting all this time stemmed to appear from thin air behind Maximus.


    With lighting speed move he stabbed Maximus with a strange wooden dagger it the back.
