Chapter 1145: Hermiones Magic

“What’s with these books?” Delphi also followed and walked to the bookshelf.

“Very interesting, where did she find these books?” said Evan, his fingertips running over the spines of the two books Birth of the Titans and Shadow Contract. “Many of them I haven’t read.”

“Evan, we’re not here to read books,” Delphi reminded. “Time is limited…”

“Don’t worry, Delphi, the Time-Turner is hidden in these books,” said Evan. “To be precise, it’s inside one of these books. She cast a spell on these books, so don’t pull them out carelessly, or it will trigger the magic.”

“Really?” Delphi also raised her head and looked at the bookshelf, and said with interest, Shadows and Spirits, The Nightshade Guide to Necromancy, The True History of the Opal Fire, The Imperius CurseandHow to Abuse It, these are all banned books. Our Minister might be a hidden Dark wizard.”

“She just collected them here. It’s impossible she has read them all,” Evan said, and his sliding fingertips stopped on a very thick book, where the magic reaction was the most obvious. “Look at this one, My Eyes and How to See Past Them by Sybill Trwney. A book on Divination. This is fascinating. Hermione hates Divination and Trwney. Why did she put this book here?”

“Maybe it’s a hobby. I’ve never heard that the Minister hates Divination.”

“That’s because you don’t know her. In her opinion, Trwney is a fraud, and Divination is a waste of time.”

“You say it as if you know her very well.”“Of course, there must be something in this book,” Evan pulled the book from the shelf directly. “Let’s see.”

The book fell open and it began to speak. It was the voice of Professor Trwney:

The first is the fourth, a disappointing mark.

You’ll find it in parked but not in park.

“What does it mean?” Delphi was stunned for a moment. “The book talks!”

“This is a riddle. It’s giving us clues. It fits Hermione’s style,” said Evan.

He threw the book to the ground, and its pages opened and closed violently, as if it was trying to devour something.

    “A riddle?”

“Yes,” said Evan, pulling Delphi back a step. Just like The Monster Book of Monsters back then, this My Eyes and How to See Past Them scuttled urgently in front of them, resembling some sort of bizarre crab.

The thick pages mped violently; getting caught in them would certainly be unpleasant.

“The second is…where did it stop just now?”

And the third is both a mountain to climb and a route to take.

“Okay, the answer to the first riddle should be the letters d and e, the second one refers to men, and the third one is tors, which means Dementors. It wants us to find books about Dementors.” R??Nǒ??ěS

“There’s one here, Dominating Dementors: A True History of Azkaban!” Delphi took out the book.

But this was a mistake. As Delphi took out the book, all the books on the shelf flew into the air and came rushing towards Evan and Delphi.

Evan waved his wand hurriedly, and an energy barrier formed in front of them, and all the iing books were sent flying back.

They began tobine and turned into a terrible monster made up of hundreds of books piled together.

“This magic is really impressive!” Evan said, and a red spell shot out from the tip of his wand.

Torn pages flew everywhere, but the monster made of books was unfazed and mmed into Evan and Delphi.

The book My Eyes and How to See Past Them continued to speak, and Professor Trwney’s voice changed. It was no longer that ethereal voice, but a very low and suppressed voice:

I was born in a cage

    But smashed it with rage

    The Gaunt inside me@@novelbin@@

    Riddled me free

Of that which would stop me to be.

“It’s a prophecy. The previous one was a trap. Before entering the right state, Professor Trwney’s predictions have always been inurate, and she took this into consideration,” said Evan. “This one should be true. We have to find a book rted to Voldemort.”

“The Dark Lord!” Delphi’s eyes sparkled. “We need to find a book rted to him?”

“That’s right!” Evan controlled the energy barrier and protected himself and Delphi as they walked towards the bookshelf next to them.

Those books were still hitting them non-stop, with great force, as if they were going to smash them to death.

“Here… Born Noble: The Glory of Pure Blood and The Heir of Slytherin, what do you think?”

“It shouldn’t be these two books,” Evan said. Although he was a descendant of Slytherin, Voldemort was a half-blood.

They browsed the bookshelf, and the names of the books shed before their eyes.

“Here’s one, Marvolo: The Truth, The Birth of Darkness, by Hermione Granger,” said Delphi.

“I think we can try it. The prophecy gives a general direction, and the rest can only be guessed.”

Delphi pulled the book out, but the bookshelf did not react.

But as soon as she opened it, a sh of light urred, and her body was quickly petrified, blue-gray from bottom to top.

“Not this one!” Evan tapped her with his wand, untied the magic on Delphi, and pulled her away from the bookshelf that suddenly became violent. “Let me do it next time. She cast different magic in different books, and we must be careful.”

“Voldemort, Voldemort, got it, The Dark Lord and the Battle of Hogwarts, by Evan Mason.”

Evan took out the book, one he had written himself.

The next second, the pages of the book turned rapidly, emitting a cracking light that enveloped Evan.

His body quickly changed into a ck cat, much like his Animagus form. He had been Transfigured!

“Evan!” Delphi shouted, her voice drowned in the sound of countless books flipping.

At this moment, all the books on the bookshelves flew out, whizzing through the air. Countless books in the entire office rotated and flew, forming a huge vortex, which wanted to swallow Evan and Delphi and annihte them in the ocean of books.

Delphi hugged Evan and dodged everywhere. Facing the attacks of so many violent magic books, she had no idea what to do.

A heavy book fell on her, and she fell to the ground and rolled under the desk beside her…

Without his wand, Evan couldn’t change back. He could only find the right book to unlock the magic.

He looked at the magic books flying in the air and had to admit that Hermione’s magic level had improved a lot after eighteen years.

This couldn’t go on. They had to find the right book. Evan seized an opportunity, leaping out and pouncing on one of the books.

He was already very familiar with his cat form, and his movements were very agile. He cleverly avoided the magic books that attacked him.

Evan flipped through a few more books, but none of them were right. They were all wrong.

Professor Trwney’s voice continued to sound. She made several predictions in a row, all of which were false.

That woman was a fraud. Every prophecy she uttered was meant to lure Evan into opening those enchanted books and triggering the spells within.
