    "The third member of the Kanto Team has been eliminated. The other member should be on the stage in 10 seconds.", said Alex with a serious face. Aggron was not in a good condition after the fight with Magmar. He didn''t know if it could hold it in till the end. So, he was worried.


    "Lyra, you know the strategy.", said Axel.


    "Yes, I do know.", replied Lyra and went up to the stage and threw her Pokeball.


    Poliwrath was ready to go. Just like Magmar, Poliwrath was also a close-fighting type Pokemon which would be bad for this match. But Aggron was injured and burnt from thest battle. Poliwrath may win this and Axel may not need to step up


    Lyra''s Poliwrath had ''Swift swim'' which would increase the user''s speed in rain and ''Water absorb'' which would heal its HP if hit by a water type attack. Both of these abilities could not be used in this battle.


    To use ''Swift swim'', Poliwrath had to use ''Rain dance'' but using it would relieve Aggron from burnt status which Lyra didn''t want it to do. But Poliwrath was a water-type Pokemon and water-type attacks were supper effective against Aggron. So, Lyra was in a pickle here.


    In the end, Lyra decided to take a gamble and not use water-type attacks on Aggron. Water type attacks were 2 times more effective against Aggron, while Fighting-type attacks were 4 times more effective. Poliwrath was also a fighting type Pokemon and it had learned a lot with its partnership from Magmar.


    "Let the battle begin!!!"


    "Poliwrath, ''Bulk up'', ''Work up''"


    "Aggron, ''Iron defense'' again"


    When Poliwrath used those 2 moves, Steven knew that it was going to be a closebat battle so he told Aggron to use ''Iron defense'' again to further increase its attack.


    This battle was not like thest one. It ended very fast, cause Lyra didn''t waste any time prolonging the battle.


    "Poliwrath, use ''Focus st''"


    "Aggron, ''sh cannon''"


    Though Aggron was burnt and injured, ''sh cannon'', as the move suggested was a fast move. Both of the moves shed but since Aggron had already lost a lot of stamina, ''Focus st'' came on top but Aggron deflected it with ''Iron tail''.


    This gave Poliwrath enough time toe near Aggron and use it,


    "''Dynamic punch'' now!!!"


    The move hit perfectly and confused Aggron a bit. The move had a high chance of confusing the target and was a highly stamina consuming move. Poliwrath took advantage and used ''Dynamic punch'' again which connected but Steven was also clever.


    "Aggron, use ''Stone edge''"


    Poliwrath had to create some distance to avoid the attack but was hit by it in the end. It stood up as fast as it could and Lyra said,


    "Use ''Earthquake'' now"


    "Aggron, reply with your own ''Earthquake''"


    Both ''Earthquake'' shed with each other but surprisingly, Aggron won in this bout however, Poliwrath was able to dodge at the nick of time.


    "Aggron, use ''Rock polish'' and then ''Stone edge''"


    "''Focus st'' now"


    Both of the moves shed again and Poliwrath was once again able toe in close proximity to Aggron. It again used ''Dynamic punch'' but this time Steven was prepared.


    "Use ''Metal w'' from both hands", shouted Steven.


    Both of the hands glowed and viciously struck Poliwrath. But the ''Dynamic punch'' also made contact with Aggron. ''Metal w'' was not properly mastered as ''Iron tail'' but to use ''Iron tail'', Aggron had to turn its body which it would not be able to do in such a close range and it would affect its burnt status.


    Aggron health was slowly chipping away from being burnt and now it was showing good results. However, Poliwrath was on the ground by the impact of that move.


    Lyra knew that Poliwrath didn''t have any time so she told, "Use ''Rain dance'' and ''Hail'' now"


    Poliwrath, though injured was fast and was able to use both of the moves sessfully but this was the end of the battle for Poliwrath.


    ''Dynamic punch'' this time didn''t manage to confuse Aggron likest time.


    "Aggron, finish it up with ''Heavy m''"


    "Shit!!!, I surrender!!!.", shouted Lyra and quickly took out her Pokeball and called Poliwrath off. Meanwhile, Aggron mmed on the ground without Poliwrath creating a big hole in the ground.


    If the move had hit Poliwrath, it may have been fatally injured. ''Heavy m'' inflicts more damage the heavier the userpared to the target. Aggron was half a ton and Poliwrath was hardly 70kg. In fact, Aggron had a hidden ability called ''Heavy metal'' which would double its weight in the battle.


    So, a 1000kg heavily mming 70kg may fatally wound Poliwrath.

    Axel slowly walked towards the battle stage.


    "Didn''t expect you to be thest one. I may have surely underestimated your capabilities before.", said Steven.


    "Yes, you may have, but you know that you are fighting a losing battle now.", said Axel.


    "Only time will tell.", said Steven with a smile.
