    Cosmo waited for her in the car downstairs, ready to return to the previous mansion.


    There were people from Willson Pavilion guarding it, which would be significantly safer.


    “Cosmo, have you noticed anything unusual?”


    Que Radcliffe, sitting in the passenger seat, suddenly asked.


    “Madam, what seems amiss?”


    Cosmo carefully surveyed the surroundings but did not spot any suspicious people or vehicles.


    As a Shadow Warrior, she possessed that instinct, capable of detecting danger in her vicinity immediately.


    “Normally at this time, North Lake Road has quite a bit of traffic. But today? It’s just us on the road.”


    Upon hearing Que Radcliffe’s words, Cosmo instantly realized the problem.


    She was always on the lookout for suspicious people or vehicles tailing them, but never paid attention to the changes on the road.


    In Julius Reed’s absence, it had been Cosmo who escorted Que Radcliffe. North Lake Road was their inevitable route, and though it usually wasn’t too busy, there ought not to have been several minutes without a single vehicle in sight.


    Abnormalities signaled the presence of demons!


    “Check for me what’s happening on North Lake Road!”


    Cosmo picked up her phone and called her staff in Gonzalez City.


    As the Empress, she naturally had her own underground kingdom. After settling in Gonzalez City, she had gathered a significant number of intelligence experts, just in case someone attempted to scheme against her.


    “Empress, a serious car ident urred at the northern exit of North Lake Road, and traffic is expected to be flowing again in half an hour.”


    “And the southbound direction? Why is there no one there either?”


    Cosmo nced at the rearview mirror. Even though she had slowed down, she still saw not a single car in sight.


    “A car ident also happened southbound. People are handling it, but it’s impossible to move the damaged vehicles out of the way quickly.”


    The employee’s report came over the phone.


    ‘Empress, this situation is quite strange. The idents involverge vehicles that havepletely blocked the exits, and the ground is covered with broken ss and nails, making it impossible to clear the way for a while. Where are you right now?”


    “I’m on North Lake Road! Just me alone on the entire road!”


    Cosmo’s expression instantly turned grim. To block the road to such an extent, this was definitely not something an ordinary person could achieve.


    “Do you need our support?”


    “No need!”


    Just then, Cosmo’s pupils contracted sharply, and she violently turned the steering wheel to the right!

    The car crashed into the guardrail, the immense force causing Que Radcliffe to lurch forward, but thankfully the seatbelt and the slow speed of the car prevented her from getting injured.

    Cosmo pressed hard on the elerator, trying to quickly flee this troublesome spot.


    But just less than a hundred meters away, a roadblock materialized out of thin air!

    The sound of violent braking reverberated, and almost instantly, Cosmo had unbuckled Que Radcliffe’s seatbelt, flung herself to the passenger’s side, opened the door, and jumped out with her!


    Boom!


    The car fiercely crashed into the roadblock, exploding with a loud bang!

    “Tsk, tsk, tsk! Worthy of an empress, indeed skilled!”


    A figure suddenly appeared, greeting with not- too-fluent Chinese.


    “General Monge, the Empress’s abilities should not be underestimated; we should act quickly!”


    Behind him, two more figures emerged.


    “Exactly! As long as we capture that woman, we need not worry about Julius


    Reed notplying!”


    The speaker was Cameron Brandon, filled with resentment as he mentioned Julius Reed’s name.


    His younger brother and other family members had all died at the hands of Julius Reed!


    Evenst night, their house had been attacked by the Night Wolves, and his parents had died at the hands of Night Wolf employees.


    If his employees hadn’t fought to the death to protect him, Cameron Brandon might well be a corpse by now.


    After escaping from the Brandon Family’s clutches, he gathered forces to seek revenge when the Eastern Bay Warrior brought a Western man to him, proposing a partnership.


    Because of his identity, the Western man couldn’t bring many people, while Cameron Brandon, being a local, had numerous resources at hand.


    The two major traffic idents today and these roadblocks were all Cameron Brandon’s doing.


    As introduced by the Eastern Bay Warrior, the Western man was one of the generals of the Deep Cold organization, named Monge.


    Upon hearing they had amon enemy, Cameron Brandon immediately agreed.


    Now, seeing the enemy’s wife right in front of him, he clenched his fists tightly.


    “Monge? You’re one of the generals of the Deep Cold organization?”


    Seeing the Western man before her, Cosmo subconsciously shielded Que Radcliffe behind her.


    She was, of course, familiar with Monge’s name; those who held the position of general were all monstrous figures.


    Now that a general of the Deep Cold organization had personally taken action, Cosmo felt an intense pressure.


    “Indeed! Meeting the Empress is also a pleasure for me! But unfortunately, we might have to be enemies.”

    Their factions usually didn’t have conflicts, which made Monge’s actions today somewhat baffling to Cosmo, but should a fight ensue, she was not afraid!


    Being called an empress, how could she be weak? Especially since her signature skills, under Julius Reed’s guidance, had been further enhanced.


    “We might not have any grievances, but I need the woman behind you!


    Empress, would you kindly hand her over? If you could do us this favor, Deep Cold would surely be thankful!”


    Monge spoke very sincerely.


    Starting a war with the Empress was not his wish.


    Deep Cold was already at war with Willson Pavilion, suffering heavy losses during this period, having even been forced to shrink their sphere of influence to avoid contact with Willson Pavilion’s people.
