Chapter 636

Grace was really afraid she would fall in love with Brian again. Therefore, after the coboration ended and the Francis Group transferred the rest of the money into Grace''s ount, she ruthlessly blocked Brian.

    *****

That night, when Brian sent a message to Grace, it was rejected. He felt terrible. He had been sitting on the sofa watching television with Jasmine when he suddenly jerked up.

    "What''s wrong, Brian?" Jasmine said.

Brian frowned and gripped his phone tightly.

Jasmine knew the situation was not good at first nce. She craned her neck and saw the eye-catching exmation mark on Brian''s phone screen. She didn''t know how tofort him. She sighed and said, "She''s suffered enough. You just have to endure how she torments you now."

In the end, Jasmine couldn''t bear to see her son sad. After a short silence, she said, "She hasn''t eaten the food you brought for her, right?"

Brian''s eyes darkened. He did not say anything, which meant Jasmine was right.

"I''ll ask her out to go shopping tomorrow," Jasmine said.

    Brian nodded slightly. "Thanks, Mom."

"Go to bed early," Jasmine told Brian.

Although Grace had cut off all contact with Brian, she could not refuse Jasmine''s invitation. After all, Jasmine sincerely treated her well. Therefore, when Jasmine asked Grace out to shop, she readily agreed.

They went shopping, and Jasmine held Grace''s hand.

Jasmine hoped Grace and Brian could be together again. Hence, after walking around, she mentioned Brian. "Grace, are you not going to consider being with Brian anymore?"

Grace nodded apologetically. "Jasmine, I know you like me, but I''m afraid. I''ve already lost my child and have been hurt badly. I feel that I''ve lost the ability to love."

Jasmine looked at Grace and nodded. "I can understand how you feel. If you don''t want to, I won''t mention this again."

    Jasmine could understand why

Grace could not ept Brian. It was not because she had fallen in love with others, but because she was too badly hurt by Brian. Grace was afraid of being hurt a second time. To put it bluntly, she was afraid

Brian would have a change of heart.

Jasmine could not promise Grace that her son would not have a change of heart in the future, so Brian had to think of a way to dispel Grace''s worries.

Jasmine suggested, "Grace, it''s Mr. Charles West''s 70th birthday party in two days. Come with me. We can see if there''s a suitable man for you at the party. I''ll help you.

Grace looked at Jasmine in surprise. "You''ll introduce a boyfriend to me?"

Jasmine nodded. "That''s right. Although you can''t be my daughter-inw, I want you to marry a good man."

Grace did not expect Jasmine to be

so open-minded. She thought Jasmine would try her best to help Brian be reunited with her. She said, "There''s no need to introduce a boyfriend to me. I don''t want to date

    now."

"It''s okay. Just look first. If there''s a suitable man, you can be friends first. It''s good to broaden your

    connections, right?" Jasmine asked.

"Yes, you have a point," Grace admitted.

"Then let''s pick out gowns this afternoon," Jasmine suggested.

    "Okay," Grace agreed.

    *****

    After lunch, Grace and Jasmine

went to a high-end studio. Jasmine was a VIP there. When she entered,

the manager came to ? ne

    them Jasmine, long time no

Are you here to pick out a gown?"

"Yes. But mostly because my daughter is looking for one," Jasmine said.

The manager looked at Grace in surprise. He had known Jasmine for many years but had never heard she had a daughter.
