Shortly after he was gone, Sanford arrived.

“Oh, we were waiting for the server,” Millie replied sweetly.
Sanford took a sip of water and said nothing more.

Maggie paused in the act of handing him the lighter.
When Cam saw this, she sneered. “Why aren''t you doing as he says?
How are you supposed to do your job when you can’t even light his cigarette?”
Maggie wasn’t stupid. She knew that they were purposely making things difficult for her.
