Jaelyn felt a pang of difort as she observed Maggie’s slender figure clothed in pajamas.

Jaelyn gathered her thoughts.

Studying Maggie’sposed expression, Jaelyn asked, “Why are you back? Aren’t you worried about
Sanford’s mother using your family as leverage again?”
Maggie’s fingers tightened at the question.
