She had considered bringing up Shari’s conversation with her to Rosalynn but chose not to.
Given Rosalynn’s pregnancy, she didn’t wish to add any extra stress to her.

Could I have half the day off?” Shari asked, keeping her tone polite.
Sanford gave her a nod.

She gave a quick nod to Maggie before heading out the door in a hurry.
Maggie watched her go, her mind clearly turning over something as she stared at Shari’s retreating figure.
“What’s going through your mind?” Sanford asked, noticing Maggie’s absent look.
Maggie shook herself out of her daze, sat down by the bed, and straightened Sanford’s quilt.
“Did Shari look after you well while you were in Boblyae?”
Sanford raised an eyebrow, puzzled.

Maggie shot him a curious look.
“Did she assist you with freshening up in the Boblyae hospital?”
Sanford nodded.
“Yes.”
“She assisted with cleansing your lower body as well?” Maggie nced at his legs and asked, almost in a rush.
Sanford’s eyes gleamed with a yful spark.
“Are you jealous?”
Maggie’s cheeks reddened in regret.
She jumped to her feet.
