He set it up so I''d cling to you that night, leaving you unable to meet Nathalie or rush back to save Nina. It''s my fault this happened, but he''s the puppet master pulling the strings. He wanted to drive a wedge between you and Nathalie for good. Cameron, Morris has been manipting us, even from our past lives. Don''t be deceived by his charming facade; his heart''s as cold and dark as theye...
Cameron''s tall frame shivered like leaves caught in an autumn breeze.
"Morris, is it really you? You wouldn''t leave me alone in our past lives, why are you determined to ruin my life now?" Cameron thought to himself.
In the ambnce, the nurses exchanged quiet whispers.
"She''spletely lost it. Always rambling nonsense."
Greta pleaded with Cameron, "Honey, I''m not crazy, please don''t send me to the psych ward."
Cameron gently brushed her hair, his eyes shadowed with worry, "Greta, just cooperate and get treated. I''lle for you once I''m done with everything here." Better safe than sorry.
He had to send Greta to the psychiatric hospital to lower Morris''s guard, only then could he freely investigate Morris''s background.
The truth woulde after his investigation.
Greta slumped to the ground, despondent: "You don''t believe me, why don''t you believe me?"
Psychiatric Hospital.
The moment Greta stepped in, she saw a patient being electroshocked. Terrified, she bolted, pushing past the nurses in a frantic attempt to escape.
But the security at the door stopped her, and due to her extreme nonpliance, she was forcefully dragged into the hospital.
She resisted with all her might, screaming, "Cameron, I''m not sick, please don''t leave me here."
Cameron stood quietly, his heart wavered for a moment. But then his father''s words suddenly echoed in his mind. Sometimes, passion can be a weapon. He clenched his teeth, hardened his heart, and turned to leave.
Greta''s hysterical screams tormented his heart: "Cameron, don''t do this to me. Don''t make me hate you."
Cameron''s heart was in agony. Yet, he steeled his heart and left.
In the mansion, Nathan listened quietly to Dominick''s report: "Sir, as you wished, Greta has been admitted to the psychiatric hospital. Now, her words will not be believed by anyone, she poses no threat to
you."
Nathan lit a cigarette but didn''t smoke it. He just quietly watched the me: "A single spark can start a prairie fire."
Soon, the cigarette burned out.
Dominick realized: "As long as Greta exists, she''s a threat."
Nathan was skeptical: "Do you really think Cameron believes she''s mentally ill?"
Dominick said, "ording to the feedback from the hospital, Greta has already mentioned that you are not ordinary, but Cameron seems to have misunderstood... He doesn''t see anything wrong with that."
Nathan said, "Cameron is not a fool. To be safe, Greta must truly be insane."
Dominick said, "I understand what needs to be done."
Suddenly, a knock on the door.
Nathalie''s voice came through: "Nathan, I''ve brought you ate-night snack."
Nathan and Dominick panicked, quickly hiding the cigarette ash and all of Greta''s medical records from the table.
Then Dominick opened the door for Nathalie.
