The night was still and quiet around the Dawson Estate. In a rush of panic, Benjamin rang the doorbell of the grand Dawson family home. It didn''t take long for Cameron to show up at the door. Benjamin dropped to his knees, pleading, "Cameron, please, you''ve got to help the Rond family!"
Cameron, barely awake, his usually sharp eyes softened by sleep, looked down at him with a touch of warmth. "What''s going on?"
"Nathan hasunched an attack against us, the Rond family."
Cameron paused, seemingly unsurprised, his expression steady. "Tell me more. What''s Nathan done?"
"Ourpany, Rond Inc, has been infiltrated. Many of our top executives have been bought off by him. Most of the contracts we''ve signed in recent years are problematic because of this."
Struggling to exin while kneeling, Benjamin stood up, pouring out the details of Nathan''s schemes. "Our chip partnership with Spectrum Group was going smoothly. They gave us good prices and plenty of supplies. But suddenly, they called to say they''re shifting focus and won''t supply us with chips anymore. We were ready to sue for breach of contract, but the penalty uses from years ago are too low. Breaking the contract doesn''t hurt Spectrum Group much, but for Rond Inc, it''s devastating."
"Without chips, we can''t meet our delivery deadlines to Maple Company. Thete fees and penalties are sky-high."
Cameron nodded, piecing it together. "Spectrum Group is owned by Morris, right?"
Benjamin was taken aback. "He owns the raw material supplier, Spectrum Group, and even Maple Company. He''s got a stranglehold on the Rond family''s lifeline."
"We''re in deep trouble now."
Cameron''s eyes narrowed, a dangerous glint in them. "Nathan, so young, yet hemands such a vast business empire. Is he really a business prodigy? But why didn''t anyone in your family see his potential before?"
Benjamin spoke earnestly, "A
el
business prodigy? He was just a bookworm who often skipped school. I can''t wrap my head around how he built his empire."
Cameron pondered, "Nathan''s hiding something."
Benjamin perked up, "Cameron, you think there''s something fishy about him too?"
Suddenly, Cameron thought of Greta.
and
a n sparked. “Maybe
I''ve found the key to unlo Mavheet
Nathan''s secrets."
ncing at the sky, which was hinting at dawn, he said, "Hang tight for a minute."
Cameron headed back to his room, quickly changed into something more formal, grabbed his car keys, and came back out.
"So early, where are you going?" Benjamin asked, tagging along.
"To the psychiatric hospital," Cameron replied.
Benjamin frowned, "I''m not interested in tagging along to see Greta."
As they walked to the parking lot, Cameron exined, "Do you know why Greta was sent to the psychiatric hospital?" Sensing there was more to the story, Benjamin asked, "Wasn''t it because she was sick?"
Cameron nodded, opening the car door for him, signaling it was time to go. The world as Benjamin knew it seemed to be turning upside down. "If she wasn''t sick, why send her to a psychiatric hospital?"
