Maybe I can open my eyes.
I struggled to open my eyes, and after what seemed like forever, I fluttered them open.
“ N-Newt?”
That''s what I tried to say. What came out was
“N-nawww.”
I heard something. Someone was there. I turned my head ever so slightly, and saw Chuck watching me.
“ Chaaaac”
Was what I managed to get out. Chuck immediately stood up, and rushed to me.
“ Minho! Thank shuck you''re awake!”
“ Where?”
I could speak a little.
“ The hospital.”
What hospital?
“ Safe haven?”
I murmured.
Chuck''s expression saddened.
“ No, the safe haven was fake. Just like everything else WICKED does. We stole a berg and took it to an abandoned hospital, and Gally got everything running.”
Gally. Is he okay?
“ Gally?”
“ Yeah, Gally and Brenda were both able to distract WICKED without any major injuries. Brenda just got a sprained arm, which will be healed pretty soon.”
Then I remembered Teresa. There could have been a small chance she’s still alive.
“ T-Teresa?”
Chuck just shook his head. I was crying again. I knew it. I managed to hold it back a little though. Just a few tears. I knew Teresa wouldn’t want me to cry. Wait, what happened to Alby? Is he okay?
Speak of the devil, here he is. Alby walked past the room with crutches. Huh?
“ Why?”
I motioned at his crutches.
“ Oh, these? I got shot in the leg.”
Alby continued on, probably to check on Brenda.
My friends went through so much for Newt. Newt. What about Newt?
