Chapter 477: Legendary Grade Hidden Mission

Big Pineapple scratched his head and spoke with a weird expression on his face, “Why do I feel as if I am watching a horror movie when I hear him speak?”
“It’s not wrong to say that it is a horror movie. “Resident Evil’s” storyline would definitely have been a maximum heart-rate horror movie if it ever became a movie,” Feng Luo mumbled as he continued looking at William’s face on the screen, waiting for his next sentence.
“With regard to my death, I have seen iting...”
On the screen, when William said this, he looked calm. However, the next moment, his eyes were filled with warmth and gentleness.
“But I am still worried about my daughter, Sally... She is a beautiful angel who is, unfortunately, envied by the devils. That’s why her wings were already broken when she was born. She was diagnosed with an incurable disease upon birth...” Although William was a virology researcher, he was still an artistic fellow. When he spoke, his words were filled with the love and warmth of a doting father.
“Luckily, using my expertise, I have found a way to save her from the clutches of the devil, and that is the ‘Evolution Virus.’” When William said this, the image of his face had shrunk to a smaller size. The white space suddenly had a bunch of data and a 3D image of something that seemed like the structure of the virus that the yers were unable to understand.
“As arge superpower corporation, the Umbre Corporation’s business covered multiple fields. However, the corporation was best known for its biological and weapons manufacturing technology.”
“The Evolution Virus was one of the most important research topics of the organization. During my research on the Evolution Virus, I identally created a super Evolution Virus mutation called ‘G.’ It had incredible functions, five of them to be exact – the ability to improve cellr recovery, significantly improve the human body’s functions, reorganize and synthesize the human genome... and most importantly, it can be used to control Sally’s disease.”
William’s speech contained way too many industry jargons and terminologies. All kinds of data kept appearing on the screen, but the yers did not try to understand it since they only needed to extract crucial information from the conversation.
“Butter, I discovered that the effects of the G-virus on living creatures were much more than what I had initially predicted. It had the terrible and frightening ability to synthesize genes, to the point where it could automatically synthesize and merge parts of the human gene with other creatures... As such, once a person was injected with the G-virus, the person would need to have a drug that could inhibit the G-virus within a specified time frame. Otherwise, if the virus were allowed to freely multiply, the consequences would be quite severe.” William had a stern expression. More data and images shed across the screen.
The yers did not understand any of the “expert information” projected on the screen.
However, everyone was more than clear about the result of them losing control of the G-virus, as William’s stats showed the words “G-virus Infected Being” earlier.
Everyone also knew why Sally’s body had all those odd statuses. It was clear that she had not been injected with the inhibitors during the time when she was kidnapped.
“A while before recording this video, my G-virus research had already entered a crucial stage, and I have found a potential method that can help mepletely cure Sally’s disease.”
“But by then, the idea of quitting the Umbre Corporation popped into my mind at the time. As such, the organization worked with adventurers during that time; moreover, they conducted numerous inhumane and illegal human experiments. They even used the Evolution Virus to research the production of biological weapons. My Evolution Virus research was mostly focused on treating Sally’s disease, not to create biological weapons used in war for the organization.”
“The G-virus is too dangerous. It is more dangerous than the T-virus that they are currently using. I am afraid that one day, I will be like my wife, who was experimented on by the Umbre Corporation, to lose control during a biological experiment and die in the process...” When William said this, he had a dark and gloomy expression.
“In truth, I am not afraid of my death. However, if I were to die, no one would be able to take care of Sally.”
“The discovery of the G-virus ispletely idental. It is not even my main research topic, and due to its supernatural nature, I did not report the virus to thepany. That is why I deleted all records and traces of the G-virus when I quit my job. I secretly smuggled the original strain out when I left.”
“However, after I left, when I tried to find an ex-colleagues and friends who had changedpanies earlier so that I may continue with my research to help treat Sally’s disease, I found out that many of them had gone missing due to all kinds of idents. I could not get in touch with any of them.”
“You should know that, when I was still at thepany, I still maintained close contact with these people...” By then, William’s expression became stiff as he gritted his teeth, he seemed very worried.
“I knew that the situation was bing very serious. The Umbre Corporation is a top ten supepany in the entire Federation, it is not so easy to quit the organization aspared to other smaller organizations. Perhaps I have made a terribly wrong decision...” His next words were pretty much his guesses, not very informative or helpful.
However, after he finished speaking, William’s regained hisposure and his expression became stern again, his speech also became firmer.
“With regard to the G-virus, I am sure you will be quite interested. No matter which side you are on, you have no choice but to prioritize its importance. The consequences of losing it to an enemy cannot be measured. That is why, as an exchange, I have only one request.”
Sally holding her teddy bear while wearing her white gown, smiling, appeared on the screen.
“I hope that you can protect my daughter and cure her. The cure for her disease is stored inside this chip. However, the application of the n is not going to be easy. You will need to find several medical experts or a master in order toplete this task.”
“As for theplete information and data of the G-virus, they are all stored within my daughter’s body in the form of a synthesized micro biochip. Only when you treat her diseasepletely will the information stored within the biochip be extracted. If you try to forcefully extract the information, you will get nothing in return.”
“Please understand, this is thest request of a father.” The image stopped moving as William’s face slowly faded away from the screen.
[You’ve triggered the Legendary Grade Hidden Mission, “William’s Request.” Find a suitable person to treat Sally’s disease within 12 hours. Do you ept? Mission Rewards: G-virus experiment information; G-virus original strain. Mission Failure Penalty: All stats -5.]

The moment William’s face faded away, a pop-up message appeared before everyone.
However, only for Feng Luo, one more notification message appeared in front of him.
