Chapter 262

Eliza nodded, acknowledging that everything was indeed in her name, but she believed it was meant for Nova, not truly for her.

She had heard that Nova had gone missing. Thewyer should''ve handled all that inheritance business.

"Do you need anything?" she asked, confused.

"I heard that after you left, Casper imed all the inheritance the Henderson family left you," Aaron said, pushing his sses up his nose with a sigh. "He legally inherited it as your husband. It might be impossible to get it back." That didn''t surprise her. Casper was cunning. "I see."

Aaron was taken aback by Eliza''s calm demeanor. "Do you need my help? I can get you the bestwyer."

"I can handle it myself." She declined his offer withposure.

"Alright, but if you ever need me, just let me know. You know what Casper is like; dealing with him might be tough."

Eliza gave a slight nod. "Aaron, now that Casper knows my identity, it''s best you stay out of it. It''s safer for you and the Martin family."

Aaron had helped her before, and she didn''t want Casper to target the Martin family because of her.

Aaron didn''t seem worried. "If I was afraid, I wouldn''t have helped you in the first ce."

She knew that, but still, Casper was dangerous. It was best to avoid him if possible.

    ---

Casper had moved to Falconridge Welton International Hospital for specialized treatment.

Dillon had also brought Mikey to Falconridge.

"Dillon, call Eliza and tell her..." Casper had promised to let her meet Mikey. "Tell her toe to Falconridge to see her father."

"Mr. Casper, if Mikey tells Mrs. Welton something he shouldn''t..."

"If he wants to leave this ce, he won''t." Casper was confident. "Besides, she has the right to know the truth."

Following Casper''s instructions, Dillon contacted Eliza, asking her toe to Falconridge.

She stood in the familiar living room of the Wetton Estate, feeling a wave of emotions. Nothing seemed to have changed. It was still as stifling as ever, just like when she left.Copyright by N?v/elDrama.Org.

    Almost exactly the same.

There were fewer servants around. The flowers and nts in the yard looked untended for a long time, wilted and decayed.

    Casper came down the stairs

    leisurely, wearing a loose nightgown

with the cor slightly open, revealing his well-defined chest and the gauze peeking out, which gave him a touch of recklessness and mystery.

He looked up and saw her standing at the doorway, a light smile curving his lips. "You''re here." His voice was gentle and rxed, clearly pleased. "Where''s my dad?" she asked, her eyes cold.

"What''s the rush? Have a seat. Dillon will bring him here soon." Casper smiled lightly as he descended the step His tone sounded like he was calming an impatient child.

Eliza didn''t move. She just stood there, looking proper and indifferent to everything around her.

He walked up to her, tilting his head to look at her, his voice low and maic. "It''s your home. Why are you so formal?"

"Casper, stop beating around the bush," Eliza said, sounding impatient.

He sighed heavily and helplessly. "I know. I''ve done many wrong things in the past. If you can''t forgive me right away, I understand."
