Chapter 318: The Ancient Clans Escaped!

In the ancient ns, fear and shock spread everywhere when the news of the death of the fourteen Nascent Soul experts spread.

Nascent Soul Experts were the strongest power in the Northern continent. Even the ancient ns did not have any experts above the Nascent Soul.

Nevertheless, the might of Nascent Soul Experts was not something that could be underestimated.

To be a Nascent Soul expert, a cultivator needed to cultivate a principle. There were many principles, but the mostmon ones were the elemental principles.

However, since the ancient ns had fused with beast bloodlines, it was easy for them toprehend their principles.

But that did not make the difficulty of breaking through to the Nascent Soul realm any easier.

Apart fromprehending a principle, a cultivator needed to pass through heavenly tribtion, and this was where the horror of Nascent Souly.

Many failed at this juncture, dying to the terrifying heavenly tribtion lightning.

Thus, if a cultivator was not sure of their sess in withstanding the heavenly tribtion, they would rather stay at the Peak of the Golden Core realm.

And those that passed the tribtion were the cream of the crop, the backbone of each Ancient n.

Now, fourteen of such experts had been killed so easily that it did not cause a wave.

"Can someone tell me what the hell is going on?" Li Ancestor shouted, veins protruding from his forehead.

All the Ancient ns'' ancestors had unsightly expressions. Never in their wildest dreams did they think fourteen Nascent Souls would perish in such a backward region.

Even the most powerful expert in the Huolong Empire, the Emperor, was only a Half-Step Nascent Soul expert.

The chasm between a real Nascent Soul and a Half-Step was way beyond what anyone could think of.

A real Nascent Soul expert could easily kill a Half-Step with a snap of their finger.

It''s likeparing an ordinary mortal to a Foundation Building realm warrior.

The difference was just too great.

Thus, they did not expect such mighty forces to die just like that.

"Is there any expert hiding in the Empire that we did not know of?" The Zhao n ancestor asked in confusion.

"I don''t think so," The Hu n ancestor responded, shaking his head.

"I think we should call back our nsmen. With many unknown variables, their stay outside is very dangerous." The Huang n ancestors suggested.

    "Never!" The Chen ancestor shouted.

His loss was greater than anyone else''s, and he won''t relent until he tears those sons of bitches to pieces.

"Do whatever you like. If you want to throw away the lives of your nsmen, you''re wee to do so," The Zhang n ancestor retorted in disdain.

Looking at the obvious disdain on the Zhang ancestor''s face, the Chen ancestor was furious.

He and the Zhang n had been at odds for the past couple of centuries, and they won''t hesitate to gloat on each other''s misfortune.

"I think we should ask the entity. With all the sacrifices he received from us for the past couple of centuries, I think it would help us," The Su n ancestor said slowly.

Hearing this, all the ancestors nodded, ignoring the still-standing Chen ancestor.

Up in the air above an ancient altar, the thick dark fog produced an eerily dark energy.

It was intimidating and nerve-cracking, but they''ve all gotten used to it.

"The Supreme one, can you please help us?" The Su n ancestor asked respectfully.

The ancient hall descended into silence as all the ancestors looked at the dark fog in expectation.

After a couple of seconds, a genderless voice came from the fog.

"This is your mission. How you defeat your enemies has nothing to do with me. Don''t bother anymore with your uselessness."

    Gasps!

They were stunned, and a resounding gasp escaped from their mouths. They stared at each other, not believing what they just heard.

After what looked like forever, one of the ancestors broke the silence.

"What are we going to do now?"

Instead of responding to him, they red at the ancient spirit in anger. They felt betrayed.

They''ve each sacrificed millions of people for the entity to recover a portion of its strength, and now that they needed its help, it dared to call them useless.

The Su n ancestor looked at the other ancestors with an unsightly expression before he disappeared from the hall.

Watching the abrupt disappearance of the Su ancestors, the ancestors departed one after the other without uttering a word.

The message from the mysterious entity was clear enough. They''ve outlived their usefulness, and thus, it deemed them unworthy of its help.

Since the entity had failed them, every n was left to defend against the unknown threat.

Inside the Imperial capital of the Huolong Empire, in a courtyard, Su Na received a message from her n.

Reading the message, she got up on her feet, with shock written on her face.

"What happened?" She asked out loud.

This has never happened. When the ns decided to eradicate anynds, it would be done without fail.

But now, they have been summoned back to the ns immediately.

Even though she was confused, she sprang to action immediately, leaving the imperial pce.

It was not only her that was quick to action; all the other ancient ns were calling back their nsmen.

Sitting on the throne, the emperor was reading a scroll when his shadow guard appeared out of thin air.

Falling on one knee, the shadow reported. "My Lord, the ancient ns are leaving quickly."

"What do you say?" The Emperor demanded, standing up on his feet.

Since the arrival of the ancient ns in his empire, he had been having many troubled nights.

Many of the noble ns under him had beenining bitterly about the unruly behavior of the ancient n nsmen.

And now, they were leaving as if they were being chased out, which left him stupefied.

Before the shadow guard responded, he disappeared from his spot and appeared above the imperial capital.

He saw the Ancient ns escaping using their mounts with looks of dread on their faces.

Watching all this, a sigh of relief escaped from his mouth before he wondered.

"Why would they leave all of a sudden?"
