However, before Skyler could bite her tongue, Isaac stopped her by grabbing her chin. “Even if you
want to die, you can only do so after we’ve had our way with you…” he bellowed before stepping
forward to scoop the woman up.
Boom! Just as Isaac was about to lift Skyler into his arms, a gust of wind hit him so suddenly that he
couldn’t dodge it in time. As he was sent flying backward, he mmed into dozens of trees before
finally crashing to the ground, blood trickling down from the corners of his mouth. Wrey furrowed his
brow. “Who is it?”

Needless to say, the rest of the group was also on edge as they scanned their surroundings frantically.
If so many of them had failed to notice the person approaching, that could only mean one. thing-they
were up against a formidable opponent!
“I can’t believe you guys are abusing your power and bullying a youngdy. Have you no shame? So
much for calling yourselves members of righteous sects… You’re even worse than Demonic
Cultivators! Thankfully, I’ve never aligned myself with the likes of you. In fact, I’ll kill you all…”
In the distance, an elderly man dressed in a flowing gray robe began walking out. Everyone present
instantly felt the suffocating aura and tensed up.
They could tell how powerful their surprise visitor was, to the point where it struck fear into their hearts.
Archer and Skyler, on the other hand, beamed with excitement.
“Mr. Songscloud, please save us and Mr. Chance…” they shouted, having recognized the man as
Yashur Songscloud from the ind. With a gentle wave of his hand, Yashur removed the aura
restraining Archer and Skyler, thus setting them free. “Who are you? Why are you meddling in the
affairs of the hidden realm?” Wrey asked.
“My name’s Yashur Songscloud. I’m the old monster you guys in the hidden realm often talk about. I
can ignore most of your nefarious activities, but if you want toy a finger on him…” Yashur said as he
pointed at Jared. “I’m afraid I’ll have to step in.”
Upon hearing that, the crowd paled. Everyone in the hidden realm was aware of the old monster who
patrolled the seas, and even though no one had seen him or learned his name, they knew he was real.
That was also why most people chose not to travel by sea because those who did would never make it
back alive!
“Ah, you’re Mr. Songscloud. Jared Chance killed my son, so why can’t I make him pay with his life? It’s
an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. I hope you’ll stay out of this, Mr. Songscloud. Once the matter
is over, I’ll be sure to get our hidden realm sects to shower you with gifts and resources,” Wrey replied,
hoping he could buy Yashur off instead of sparring with him.
Well, let’s hope that’d be enough to get him off my back! Yashur, however, curled his lips into a half
smile. “So what? Even if Mr. Chance had killed your mother, I still wouldn’t let you hurt him in the
slightest. If you do, I’ll send you straight down to hell…” he said firmly, making it clear that there was no
room for discussion.
After all, Jared was his overlord, and he’d do everything to protect the former, even if it cost him his life!
For a moment, Wrey was stunned, but it didn’t take long before his expression turned grim.
I don’t know why this old monster is so protective of Jared, but there’s no way I’ll let him humiliate me in
public! Besides, I’m not alone. With all our hidden realm sects gathered here, we can take on this old
monster!
“Listen here, old monster. I’ve tried to reason. with you, yet you refuse to back off. Since you don’t
know what’s good for you, don’t me us for taking drastic measures,” Wrey warned. “You may be
powerful, but you’re also on your own. I doubt you can take on thebined strength of our hidden
realm sects! Let’s fight to the death, then! By hook or by crook, I’ll kill Jared Chance today!”
With that, Wrey began unleashing his aura, prompting the others to follow suit and prepare for action.
