Chapter 534

Greg added, "Take it from me. Whatever you do, don''t cross him. If he couldn''t care less about Horace, he won''t take me seriously either."

With that, Greg ended the call. Leo stared at his phone nkly. Greg had always been hot-tempered and proud, yet Greg actually backed down this time. The sudden change of attitude was so fast that it left him feeling a bit off.

Just then, Leo''s phone started ringing again. He looked at his phone and eximed, "It''s a call from Matthew!"

Brad immediately sat up straight beside Leo. "Pick it up! If I''m right, the Wood family''s people have shown up. Let him know we''re on our way to help."

Leo hummed in acknowledgment and answered the phone call. "Hello."

Matthew''s tone sounded urgent. "Hi. Get over here quickly. I''m on the first underground floor of the psychiatric hospital."

Leo was excited. It was finally time to get down to business. "I''m on the way. I''ll be there soon."

Looking at the pile of bodies on the floor, Matthew remarked, "Bring more body bags. There are more bodies than expected." With that, Matthew ended the call.

The excitement drained from Leo''s face as he held the phone. He dejectedly said, "Back to cleaning duty again. More bodies this time."

More bodies? Brad looked surprised. "Why is Matthew so bloodthirsty? He''s out there taking lives every day."

Leo thought for a moment andmented, "Honestly, the people he killed deserved it. None of them were good people. The mayor actually tore down the residence''s house and sent the victim to a psychiatric hospital for torture. I''d want to take the mayor down myself too."

The car sped up and rushed toward Clearwater Psychiatric Hospital.

Brad gazed at tall buildings outside and sighed. "When I visited Lambda Cityst time, it felt so vibrant and bustling. The people I met were warm and weing. Everything about this ce felt great.

"Coming back here for Matthew this time, it''s a totally different experience. It''s been a bunch of frustrating situations and terrible people. It''s the same ce, but

it feels like I''ve stepped into apletely different world."

Leo was deep in thought as the car hit the bumpy stretch of the road, jolting violently.

Snapping back to reality, Leo turned to Brad and remarked, "During your first visit to Lambda City, you were a high-ranking official''s kid, so you naturally became the center of attention. This time around, we''re with Matthew.

"Even though he''s powerful, people just see him as a bumpkin from Silverbrook Vige located in the

    Brackenridge district of Lambet

City. I suppose we''re just running into themon problems the farmers have to deal with,

"Too bad they don''t realize Matthew is so powerful. People can''t even look him straight in the eyes. His bloodlust is so terrifying. I''m literally shaking in my boots."

The wind was picking up, and the dark clouds were rolling in, covering the sky over Lambda City like a ck curtain.

In no time, the sky above Lambda City was shrouded, and the city seemed to have plunged into darkness.

Raindrops started sttering on the road. The rain got heavier, and the wind howled even more. The downpour was relentless, and Lambda City was swallowed by the storm.

In the heavy rain, a burly man in his 30s held a steel pipe and walked briskly through the storm.

His stone-cold face showed no emotion as the rain poured down on him. His gaze was fixed on Clearwater Psychiatric Hospital at the end of the street.

As he passed through a street corner, another brawny appeared behind him. Thetter looked just like him, carrying a steel pipe and following closely.

Without saying a word, they continued moving forward through the wind and rain. Someone sshed through the puddles, emerging from the rain and trailing behind them.

With every step forward, more people joined the three. After walking about 30 feet, the group had grown to 20 people.

When they reached the entrance of Clearwater Psychiatric Hospital,

their number had increased to 80. All 80 men lined up in perfect order. Standing upright, they exuded an unstoppable presence. The steel pipe in their hands felt like something far deadlier than just pipes.

A menacing air of killing intent permeated the surroundings.

Standing in front like a general ready for war, Carlos Lawson gave off amanding presence. He slowly turned to look at the crowd behind him and wiped the rain from his face.

Carlos raised his steel pipe and pointed it toward Clearwater Psychiatric Hospital through the pouring rain. Wth a menacing look, he yelled, "Matthew is inside! Charge!"
