Chapter 117: ve!

    Nir dreamt of the time when he was living happily with his parents, the time they were a happy family with no one to disturb them. In his dream, he relived the moment when he was 9 and joined a festival with his family and friends. He was truly happy and was enjoying it when he suddenly saw a big fire and it started to engulf his parents, friends, rtives and everyone else in the vige.


    "Mom! Dad!" Nir suddenly shouted and tried to reach them.


    When he did so, the scene suddenly changed and Nir noticed that he was in a spacious and luxurious-looking room. He looked around and saw Fu Yan sitting on the sofa, staring into nkness.


    Nir looked at Fu Yan withplicated eyes and then after contemting for a while and as he decided something, he stood up from the bed and made his way towards Fu Yan.


    Fu Yan had noticed the moment Nir woke up but he decided to not pay attention to it and let the kid decide what he wanted to do.


    When he watched Niring towards him, he made a gesture in the air and put away the transparent screen in front of him.


    Nir slowly approached him and when he was in front of Fu Yan, he suddenly bent on one knee and solemnly said.


    "Sir, if you permit me, this ve would like to recognize you as my master."


    Fu Yan was taken aback when he heard this. Though he had some thoughts about letting Nire with him, he just wanted him to be a subordinate and he had decided that if Nir wanted to leave, he wouldn''t stop him.


    But now when Nir suddenly said that he wanted him to be his master, Fu Yan did not know what to say.


    After staying silent for a while, Fu Yan sighed and asked with a deep voice while trying to remain as calm as possible.


    "Why do you want me to be your master. Though I asked you to follow me, my thoughts were to hire you, not to use you as a ve. If you don''t rify it, I won''t permit it."


    When he heard this, Nir got down on both knees and replied.


    "Sir, the reason I want to recognize you as my master is because my father once said that if his n was still around, I would have been hailed as its finest and most promising assassin. Father said that I have inherited the bloodline from our ancestors which no one was able to inherit in the past 400 years. There were records of it in the n but no one was able to get it."


    Fu Yan calmly listened to this and then interjected.


    "So what does this have to do with you recognizing me as your Master?"


    Nir did not mind Fu Yan suddenly stopping him and continued.


    "Sir, the bloodline that I inherited is special. I am only able to use at most 10% of its power right now. To unlock itpletely, I have to recognize someone as my master, but there is also a problem here. If I have even the slightest doubt in my mind about being bound to someone and to be his ve, I won''t be able to harness the full power of the bloodline and during the ceremony the bacsh could kill me."


    Fu Yan looked at Nir with open eyes and could not help but shout inside his mind.


    "What is this magic? Bloodline? Is this true? If it''s true, does that mean magic would also exist?"


    After thinking for a while and calming down his mind, Fu Yan sighed and asked in a questioning tone.


    "So why do you think you can recognize me as your master? Are you sure you trust me that much that you are willing to hand your life to me? Also what is this ceremony you are talking about?" Though he tried to remain calm, his words still gave him away.


    Nir looked at Fu Yan with confident eyes and replied with a stern voice.


    "Sir, you are my saviour and if not for you, I would have died sooner orter if not today so I am sure that I want to recognize you as my Master. I don''t have even the slightest doubt in my mind about this, that''s why. Please allow me to serve you at my best. I want to be able to do something for you even if it costs me my life."


    Fu Yan looked at Nir whose face was beaming with confidence and expectations. After thinking for a bit, he looked towards the ceiling and then Nir.


    "I understand. Since you will be my first follower then I hope that you are saying the truth. I promise that you won''t ever regret following me."


    Nir smiled when he heard this and replied.


    "Sir, you won''t ever regret epting me as your ve. As for me, if you ever wanted me to die, I won''t ask why."


    Fu Yan nodded when he heard this and asked.


    "So how to perform this ceremony? What''s the procedure?"


    Hearing this Nir stood up and then surveyed the room. After looking around, he got in front of Fu Yan and started to exin the procedure.


    Fu Yan calmly listened and after a while, they began to perform the ceremony.


    Following Nir''s guidance, he pierced his left thumb a little and when a drop of blood appeared on it, he pressed it on Nir''s forehead who was kneeling in front of him in a knightly pose.


    When Fu Yan ced his thumb on Nir''s head, he suddenly felt as if something was trying to suck blood from his body through the thumb but this force was not strong.


    While he was cing his thumb on Nir''s forehead, Nir was reciting something in a low voice. Even with the trantor, Fu Yan was not able to understand what it meant.


    Nir''s voice was increasing as time passed and then suddenly Fu Yan felt Nir''s forehead heating up.


    He knew that it was the contract that was forming up and following what Nir exined, he continued to ce his thumb on Nir''s forehead.


    Nir suddenly stopped reciting and ck smoke started to seep out of his body. When Fu Yan saw this, he took back his hand and watched.


    Nir suddenly stood up and grabbed Fu Yan''s left hand. He brought the thumb near his mouth and gently kissed it.


    The moment he did so, his whole body turned ck and then slowly dissipated into smoke. Nir suddenly vanished from the room and Fu Yan could not see or feel his presence.


    Everything that happened today exceeded his imagination. Even though he knew that the universe was advanced and manys were far superior to the earth. Some were even able to threaten the Library but still they could be exined through science but this, this cannot. So he was still unable to calm himself down even after seeing it and feeling it himself.


    After not being able to feel Nir''s presence for a while, Fu Yan looked around and spoke in a low voice.


    "Nir are you ok?"


    There was no reply for a while, then suddenly ck smoke started to gather in front of him and then it turned into a person, well more like a child.


    Nir appeared in front of him through the smoke and replied in a stern and unwavering voice that was full of respect.


    "Master, Nir has been sessful and I have awakened my bloodlinepletely. Though it will take some time for me topletely control my new-gained powers, I can still serve master."


    Fu Yan nodded when he heard and let out a sigh full of relief. Then he looked at Nir and felt that even though he looked the same as before, there was an additional mark on his forehead.


    Fu Yan raised his hand towards Nir''s forehead and Nir just stood there without even the slightest movement.


    It looks like when he said that if Fu Yan wanted him to die, he wouldn''t ask why, that was not just lip service. Nir meant what he said.


    When Fu Yan touched the mark on Nir''s forehead, he somehow felt a connection between him and Nir.
