Chapter 796: A Great Victory

Chapter 796: A Great Victory

Sein kept himself in check, suppressing his greed on the battlefield.

He was not exactly short on resources, so there was no need topete with his allies over scraps of loot.

As for the energy crystals found inside the metal fort, Sein ultimately took only seven boxes for himself.

Considering the contributions he had made, taking just this amount was more than fair.

“These energy crystals seem to be the power source for these weapons that looked like metal boxes,” Sein mumbled as he examined a half-destroyed weapon dug out from the rubble.

It was clear that it was a product of technological civilization; not something Wild Gori World could have produced on arge scale.

This war, Sein reflected, was unlike any he had experienced before.

Even Rank Two mages like himself could sense the changes that set this conflict apart from the rest.

Staying in one ce for too long was unwise.

When Green Spikefur King emerged from the fort, carrying a massive lump of metal on its back, Sein directed hispanions to other battlefields nearby.

Both the hefty piece of metal and the boxes of energy crystals were stowed in Sein’s space conch.

Ever since he befriended Tourmaline, the dragon turtle had gifted him many treasures.

In hindsight, this space conch had proven to be the most valuable.

Its storage capacity far surpassed that of ordinary spatial storage equipment.

Sein fought actively on the battlefield, frequently demonstrating the unique properties of his Azure me.

With its ability to break down metal, more imprable forts were brought down by the Magus World Army under his leadership.

During this period, Sein had hoped to find another demigod-level Wild Gori.

After all, every part of a creature of this rank held immense value.

Unfortunately, even Rank Three Wild Goris were quickly imed by the numerous high-level powerhouses within the Magus World Army, let alone demigod-level Wild Goris.

Thanks to the presence of his two demigod-level protectors, Sein managed to secure a few more Rank Three Wild Gori corpses.

However, he found it difficult to muster any interest in the Rank One or Two Wild Goris; their value simply was not worth his attention.

The battle at the metal frontsted a total of thirteen days, including its aftermath.

The initial sh itself was rtively brief.

After failing to find a target worthy of interest, Sein withdrew from the battlefield with Kingfisher.

    Green Spikefur King, however, remained.

The creature seemed to revel in routing the remaining enemies and harbored an instinctive disdain for the Wild Gori n.

Part of the nt legion from Verdant Wilderness World waster deployed to the frontlines, giving Green Spikefur King the perfect opportunity to takemand.

Meanwhile, Sein located Natalya and Reina, who had arrivedter on the battlefield, along with many mages from the Divine Tower of Verdant Spring.

Since the two female knights were still fighting, Sein decided not to distract them.

The divine tower mages Sein spotted were the same thousands who had been positioned at the rear, releasing long-range magic spells at the start of the battle.

Although they had been involved from the beginning, they had only now reached the frontline of the conflict.

Internar wars were fought not just for victory but for the acquisition of resources, wealth, knowledge, poption, and intelligence.

For these mages, the less perilous frontline provided ample opportunity to explore and im anything of interest.

After regrouping with the divine tower mages, Sein contacted Archimedes, the Rank Three grand mage, to inquire about their losses.

Though it was a decisive victory, the toll on the Divine Tower of Verdant Spring had been significant.

Based on the feedback from the divine tower’s badges so far, 1,327 mages had lost their vital signs, with eighty percent of them being from the elite group of two thousand that had been selected before the battle.

This was a heavy blow, considering the total number of registered mages within the Divine Tower of Verdant Spring.

Master Archimedes, seasoned by years of experience, tried to console Sein.

“The feedback from the badges isn’t always urate. Some of those mages might still be alive; their badges may have simply been shattered by the violent explosions.”

“A detailed tally after the battle will give us a more precise count of the dead and injured,” he added.

This positive outlook from Archimedes influenced many mages from the Divine Tower of Verdant Spring, lifting their spirits.

His contributions to the battle extended beyond his reassuring presence.

During the battle, Lorianne had ordered the space fortress at the rear to advance to the frontline and fire three rounds from the main cannon, along with continuous secondary cannon fire.

She was clearly determined to win, regardless of the cost.

However, it was Master Archimedes who, after observing the battlefield once Verdant Spring Fortress had fired a round from its main cannon, intervened to prevent further energy expenditure and additional strikes.

Given the state of the Wild Gori Army at that point, two more cannon strikes would have been overkill.

While it may have seemed like Master Archimedes was opposing Tower Master Lorianne’s orders, in truth, he was acting in her best interest by saving the divine tower more than two hundred thousand magicoins.

After all, it cost over a hundred thousand magicoins to fire the fortress’ main cannon each time.

After exchanging a few more words with Master Archimedes, Sein continued his flight toward the rear of the Divine Tower of Verdant Spring Army.

For now, this phase of the war was over for Sein.

    ***

The battles in the war zones where the Divine Tower of Verdant Spring and the Order of the Fiery Molten Mountain were stationed ended swiftly.

In fact, the battles between the Magus Civilization Army and the Wild Gori Army along the extensive fronts of Wild Gori World concluded in a simrly rapid fashion.

Most of these conflicts were resolved within a month.

In nearly every case, the Magus World Army emerged victorious.

Despite receiving some support from hidden external forces, this “minimal” assistance was insufficient for the Wild Gori Army to withstand the relentless advance of the Magus World Army.

While the Magus World Army did incur some losses, it was evident that the Wild Gori n paid a far greater price!

By the end of this wave of full-scale conflict, the Wild Gori World had lost tens of millions of elite troops.

The casualties among their lower-quality vassal and enved legions were even higher, exceeding one hundred million.

The existences of twenty-one Gori Gods were permanently erased, with more left severely injured.

The number of fallen Gori Gods might not have been as high if not for the unexpected impact of the Dwarf Bombs and the devastating light blue energy beam, which caught even the Magus World’s powerhouses off guard and made them fight more aggressively.

In the war zone where the Divine Tower of Verdant Spring was, none of the three Gori Gods were able to retreat.

Allowing them to escape was simply out of the question!

The sight of ck Oblivion falling from the sky was witnessed by many, and allowing the Gori Gods responsible for this to escape would put the magic beast kings in an awkward position when White Ste arrived.

Oneille was initially unaware of ck Oblivion’s background.

Upon learning the details from Milena, and confirming them with Lorianne, he immediately took up his massive ax and pursued the Rank Five Gori God trying to flee the battlefield.

White Ste was expected to arrive at the Wild Gori Battlefield within the next few days, leading numerous Sea Kings.

Sein, meanwhile, had just returned to the space fortress and barely begun his experiments when he was summoned by his mentor.

Lorianne appeared exhausted, having likely just withdrawn from the frontline herself. Even as she spoke, she was catching her breath—clearly, the battle had taken its toll on her.

“Stop your experiments for now ande with me to visit Bernice,” Lorianne instructed.

“What happened to her?” Sein asked.

“She was injured by that blue beam shot by the Wild Gori Army not long ago. Your grandmaster knows about it too, but she won’t be able toe here right away, so it’s up to the two of us to visit her on her behalf,” Lorianne exined.
