After all of the system notifications finished ringing out, Azmodeus moved away from the rapidly falling corpse of the J?rmungandr.
Of course, he made sure to absorb its body and assimte its existence. Then, with swift movements, he vanished from sight, heading straight toward the grandiose castle in the distance.
This was where the Goddess of Light lived, and it would also be where he nned to kill his first god…
-
After a few seconds of flying over the innumerable shiny buildings and outriggers, Azmodeus Crimson found himself at the enormous front gates of the Pce of Light.
Just as he was about to rush in uninvited, a heavenly voice resounded from inside the confines of the Pce:
"You have finallye, Awakener—the one deemed to be the key to the future by that man."
"???"
Azmodeus looked all around him and even followed the voice back to its source with his divine sense. However, no matter what method he used, he couldn''t find out what had produced the voice.
But with simple deductive reasoning, he was naturally able to understand that the melodic voice originated from the one known as the Goddess of Light.
It was with this understanding that he asked, "Why do you speak as if you know everything about me?"
A light, heavenly giggle came back in response to this question. After which, the Goddess of Light responded, "Well, that is naturally because I do know everything about you."
"You do?" Azmodeus questioned with a raised brow.
If she knows about the system, then I''ll need to kill her even faster than I originally nned…
His thoughts took a turn for the insidious as he would not hesitate in the slightest if this woman was truly telling the truth.
However, his expression became far more rxed with the next words spoken by the Goddess:
"I know almost everything about you, as even your moles are unable to escape my divine sight. But there is one thing I am in the dark about…"
"And that is?" Azmodeus inquired with a voiceced with hidden killing intent.
He prepared Sanguinary if things developed in the direction he thought they would.
But contrary to his expectations, the Goddess of Light said, "I am unaware of the intricacies concerning the God of Darkness and yourself…"
Her tone became a little irksome toward the end, as the matter of her counterpart was quite a sensitive subject.
The God of Darkness…? What does he have to do with me? And why does she speak as if I and that god have a close rtionship??
Question marks went off inside Azmodeus''s head, but he refused to show his confusion in front of a potential enemy, which was why his expression remained emotionless from beginning to end.
"You likely have no inkling of what I''m talking about, but that does not mean you must remain ignorant. After all, everything in this world is rted to you, and since the beginning of time, it has always been that way."
The Goddess of Light took him out of his reverie as he turned his head up toward the slowly opening golden gates, digesting the information that he just received.
This world is rted to me…? Why is it that everything she says has so many underlying meanings??
Azmodeus was starting to believe that this god took him as a joke, but upon receiving the warmest wee he could imagine, there were not many options left for him to take.
I will go meet this Goddess myself, and if everything turns out to be an borate ploy cooked up by her and the other god, I''ll simply kill them both and be done with it…
Azmodeus was a cautious one, and with a countless number of precautions set in ce just in case of his eventual deaths, there was absolutely no way whatever scheme this Goddess had in mind could permanently kill him.
It was with this ease of mind that he took swift strides into the limitlesslyrge pce, aiming to figure out what the Goddess of Light meant when she said those cryptic words.
-
Upon making it through a number of ostentatiously adorned corridors and shimmering rooms, Azmodeus ultimately found himself in front of an open door.
The door itself was nothing special; its edges were carved in the shape of a 3-meter-tall door with a rtively simple design, and it was average in grandiosity.
However, it was whaty on the other side of the door that truly stood out…
A Goddess, huh…
Azmodeus couldn''t help but agree that the ungodly beautiful woman who graced his sight was truly worthy of her title of Goddess.
But if she gets in my way, I''ll kill her all the same.
His eyes darkened for a split second before they returned to their normal crimson color as he proceeded to jar the door open a little further.
After which, he was able to get a full picture of the divinely gorgeous woman in front of him.
She had long blonde hair and eyshes, as well as a well-endowed figure. Gracefully sitting on her rather ordinary bed, she stared in his direction with a dazzling smile ying on her luscious red lips.
