Introduction: The galaxy was vast. On one arm of the galaxy, stood the monarchial Empire of Grand Arcadia; ancient, vast, and powerful. One another, stood the democratic Republic of the New Stars, brimming with vitality.They were locked in a three-hundred-years, on-and-off war, the reason for which had long been disputed. The Empire claimed that the dogmatic Republic had invaded first, whilst the Republic claimed otherwise.In the cradles of democracy, a boy was born. Al-Salem was an orphan, joining the RNS Armada as a desperate solution to survive. He graduated from the Academy at the age of twenty, and two years of additional training later was shipped off to war. Meanwhile, a crisis was brewing in the Empire. The aging Emperor Fredrick V was dying of illnesses, and his successor was unclear. He only had one child: a young daughter by the name of Katharin. But the Empire’s nobility, vying to put themselves or their children on the throne, would not let such a thing pass so easily.And so the tale of the Admiral and the Empress began....
