147. Haku to the rescue


    <span style="font-weight:400">A moment after the attack on Zabuza the man fell dead to the ground, or at least that is what Haku would like everybody else to believe. Tomoka, Hinata and Nozomi knew the man was still alive. Of course Tomoka told them about what would happen. Yamato for his part felt tense. Seeing the new person who entered the fray with an ANBU mask from Kiri made him wry.


    <span style="font-weight:400">“He really died.” There was a slight tone of surprise in Haku’s voice. Of course this was for the sake of selling their little act not like any of the girls would bother to call him out. Meanwhile Yamato approached Zabuza’s body checking for signs of life.


    <span style="font-weight:400">“Thank you, I have been looking for an opportunity to kill Momochi Zabuza.” With that Haku gave the group a small bow without losing sight of them.


    <span style="font-weight:400">“No problem, I am guessing you want to take the body as well.” Tomoka stated without any worry in her voice. Though for the sake of keeping appearances she kept her muscles tight and ready forbat. Hearing Tomoka Haku just nodded while looking towards Yamato.


    <span style="font-weight:400">Nodding back, Yamato made some distance from Zabuza’s body. Even though taking the body for study could be useful for Konoha, doing so now would mean acquiring Kiri''s displeasure. Not only that but their mission made it so keeping the body would be inconvenient for the time being.


    <span style="font-weight:400">Without another word Haku took Zabuza’s body before vanishing. This made Tomoka smile, though she put some effort in hiding it from Tazuna and Yamato. Now she just needed to contact Haku where Naruto would have done so in canon.


    <span style="font-weight:400">“Hey, Yamato sensei. Wasn’t Zabuza one of the seven swordsmen from kiri? Doesn''t that mean he is a jonin and therefore this mission became an A-ranked mission.” Hearing Tomoka Yamato couldn’t help but sigh.


    <span style="font-weight:400">“That''s right, but as I said before there won’t be any extra pay. You were the ones that wanted to continue with the mission.” Even though he said that he knew it wasn’t about the pay.


    <span style="font-weight:400">“I know, I was just wondering how good an A-ranked mission would look in our resume” Hearing Tomoka Nozomi couldn’t help but roll her eyes with a smile on her face. Meanwhile Hinata couldn’t contain a small giggle.


    <span style="font-weight:400">“Well, enough chatter. We still have a mission to finish.” With nothing else to add to the conversation the group continued moving forward until they reached Tazuna’s house. After knocking, a tall woman with ck hair opened the door.


    <span style="font-weight:400">“Dad? Thank god you''re safe and sound.” Tsunami said while hugging Tazuna with small tears in her eyes. After a while she let go and looked towards team Yamato. With a small bow she spoke.


    <span style="font-weight:400">“Thank you for keeping my father safe. My name is Tsunami.” Just as she finished speaking to a small kid around eight years old.


    <span style="font-weight:400">“Granpa!” The kid shouted whileunching himself towards Tazuna.


    <span style="font-weight:400">“And who might this be.” Tomoka knew that Inaru would be a little shit due to his trauma so she wanted to get it over with. She was here for a purpose not to babysit a traumatized kid.


    <span style="font-weight:400">“His name is Inari, he is my son. Inari, say hi to the ninjas. They were the ones to bring your grandpa safe and sound.” Hearing his mother’s words as expected of the little shit he only gave a nce towards Tomoka’s group before speaking.


    <span style="font-weight:400">“They will die. It is simply impossible for anyone to win against Gatoh.” Hearing the little shit speaking made Tomoka crack a smile. One full of ridicule and a tinge of malice.


    <span style="font-weight:400">“Yeah, yeah, whatever you say kid. We aren’t as weak as any other weakling Gatoh has killed in the past. All you need to know is that we will be staying for a while and keeping your old man safe.” Tomoka’s dismissive attitude made Inari angry so he just turned around and left.
