    “All supreme overlords must want to be immortals.” Orchidcore asked Coldde: “Senior, is that also your path? Is there no other?”


    For the young geniuses, the imperial realm was still far. Perhaps they would never be able to reach it.

    “Are you saying there is nothing after heaven-yers?” Li Xian was the weakest and didn’t quite follow the conversation.


    “We don’t know.” Orchidcore said.


    The group turned to Coldde, wanting to learn more.


    “You are a disciple of Deste Frontier, you should ask Senior Jiang regarding this matter.” She told Mu Hu.


    “I have never seen him before.” Mu Hu scratched his head and said: “Have you seen the ancestor of God Frontier?”


    “Far-dao.” Princess Chen murmured.


    “I have met the ancestor.” Coldde didn’t mind the sensitive question since they were students of Orchid Academy.


    “Is it possible for them to be overlords?” Orchidcore asked.


    “My ancestor told me Senior Far-dao has walked the farthest since he created this path.” Princess Chen said softly.


    “Sure, but that’s not always the case. Senior Jiang and Immortal Bronze Pce’s Fairy Companions might not be behind.” Coldde said.


    “Senior Far-dao said this?” The group said.


    God Frontier had soared in power, rumored to be as strong as Deste Frontier, Immortal Gate, Seventy-two Skyraisers, and Trinity Kingdom.


    It had two great existences - Far-dao and Tenacious.


    Far-dao created an evesting path long ago, something simr to what Deste Ancestor had done. Rumor has it he had made it to the end of this path and could break through at any moment.


    Another aplished cultivator of this path was Evesting Jiang, or Jiang Ba. Despite being ater, he was believed to have caught up to others.


    The evesting path was simr to the deste god path. The final result was bing a heaven-yer by obtaining a sacred source and using it as a fuel for life. Two famous cultivators included a couple known as Fairy Companions.


    Everyone was envious of them since they were loving husband and wife, cultivating and adventuring together. They were the first to be heaven-yers in Three Immortals under the tutge of Deste Ancestor.


    They became stronger than Far-dao, Tenacious, or Jiang Ba despite being juniors. This might be due to their immacte connection with each other and the help of an immortal in Deste Ancestor.


    However, they were one step away from the overlord stage just like the others.


    Primal overlords must surpass extinguishment while heaven-yers must survive a process known as return.


    Because they haven’t done it yet, everyone believed the imperial path to be the superior one. The deste god path or the evesting path couldn’t make it far enough.


    “No one knows the path forward.” Coldde said.


    “So there is still hope for those on other paths.” Monk Zhu murmured.


    “But it doesn’t apply to you since you want to be a Buddha.” Princess Chen said.


    “Amitabha.” Monk Zhu ced his palms together.


    “We’re overthinking it.” Orchidcore smiled wryly and said: “We might not even be deste gods, why care about the path beyond? We’re being arrogant right now.”


    “True, one step at a time, and it only gets harder.” The princess smiled wryly.
