    Loongson Corporation gave them an official reply: Loongson agreed to join “Xing Hai Computer Alliance”, request for the Weave Architecture’s patent license and was willing to partake in efforts to perfect the Xuanyuan operating system.


    But they rejected Xing Hai Technologies’s acquisition. Neither would they forsake the path of the MIPS architecture that they have been going down for 20 years.


    Fu Weiwu said, “Loongsonputers has over a million users in the country. We have also received orders of a few hundred thousand units from governments of more than 20 countries. We have quite a considerable amount of foreign users as well. We will not leave off this market until the dayes where profits could no longer sustain us,”


    Yes.


    No one should ever belittle Loongson!


    The fact that Intel CPU’s and the Windows system were not safe was not the opinion of a few. It was the consensus of the tech circle and the governments of many countries. Theputer used by the famous Richard Stallman, the father of free software was exactly a Loongsonptop.


    There were more than 500 special departments within the nation and more than 20 foreign governments (including Germany) that purchased arge number of Loongsonputers for their government offices in order to prevent Intel CPU’s and Windows from collecting user data.


    With these users and market, Loongson profit hundreds of millions of dors every year and formed aplete industrial chain which was endowed with tens of thousands of talents. They could survive well enough without state funding. Even if Xing Hai Technologies does not interfere with them, the future of Loongson would still be aglow.


    This was the reason why many big foreignpanies still offered them their olive branches, propose to them generous cooperation conditions and persuaded them to give up working hard despite the fact that Loongson was actually very weak.


    And this exactly was the reason why Fu Weiwu was respected by the insiders of the autonomous chip field.


    This man from the Z nation had persisted on one single thing for 20 long years. It was his determination that madepanies such as Intel and Windows felt threatened. No matter the field, as long as a Z go all the way in for 20 years or above, other foreignpanies in the field would be as jumpy as a puppet.


    For this very fact, the westerners were always disquieted to issue an all-out ban towards customers from the Z nation. The Z’s own many tech products. But even if the products they made were severely trailing behind and considered garbage, the conception of whether they have it or do not have it still had arge disparity. If theyy upon them a thou-shall-not and they so lose the Z nation market which was the biggest among all and make space for those garbage products to develop and expand, ultimately, they would be the ones who would be exterminated.


    It was people like Fu Weiwu who made the Z’s fearless against all impediments. These people could be best described as the Z’s backbone.


    “Oh, so Loongson agreed to join the alliance?”


    “Yes Mr. Chen. That is an inevitable choice. After all, a goldmine is better than a silver mine.”


    “Their spirit is very worth learning. There were never onceputer products that could survive in the cracks for so long. Give Mr. Fu a call, ask him whether they would need financing, and do they have any problems on their funding’s. If it so happens that they have some difficulties, Xing Hai Technologies could provide them with some loans or financing... just like what we provide for the ‘League of Star Apps’.” Chen Jin said.


    The hardware of aputer consisted of the motherboard, memory, power supply, CPU, graphics card, chassis, cooling fan, disy and other parts. Aside from the CPU and graphics card, Xing Hai Technology can’t possibly be producing all the other hardware’s, and it was not cost-effective either!


    In order to promote Xing Haiputers, it was imperative tounch a “Xing Hai Computer Alliance”, take out more than 50 billion dors of funds, providerge amounts of technical patents and recruit partners to establish aplete industrial chain.


    With regard to this matter, Ling Jun Dong had begun operations since he went to Loongson Corporation, bringing along with him a “Xing Hai First Generation”ptop.


    Consecutively, Ling Jun Dong and other executive members of thepany still had to visit lots of hardware factories, perform many demos of the actual machine, and sprinkle away a considerable amount of money in order to establish a hardware alliance at the fastest speed possible.


    They were striving to realize mass production for the “Xing Hai First Generation”puters in March the following year. Then, they would hold a conference for this product’s grand release!


    Once the firecrackers were lit in which after Xing Haiputers be well received by the market, Xing Hai Technologies would not have to produce the wholeputer themselves anymore. Making the entire device was not profitable. Prospectively, they would only focus on the CPU, graphics card and software system, as these were the few fields with the biggest profitability, at least some hundreds of billion dors annually.


    At this point, Chen Jin’syout in the traditional science and technology field was basicallypleted. All the voids were basically filled. In this way, if such a highly popted country with no shorings could yet be a global superpower, which country could?


    Indeed, perhaps influenced by the precept and example of his father, Chen Jin wished for this country to be stronger, even stronger than the M nation.


    It must be done!

    Furthermore, if Xing Hai Technologies’s development continue down this way, sooner orter, they would be the needle in the eye of many countries and the abhorred viin among the foreigners. They would be the evil roots that marked the foreigners down from egotism to humility and would inevitably be subjected to numerous containments and attacks.


    Without the protection of a powerful nation, Xing Hai Technologies would never get to grow safe and sound.

    Shi Xiaotao came to Shang Hai.


    Chen Jin met her once again in the office.


    “Mr. Chen, I’vepleted my new movie, help me go through it.”


    Shi Xiaotao pushed herptop to him lightly. She smiled and added, “This is the first ever live action I produced.”


    Oh?


    Chen Jin focused his sight on theptop screen. Upon seeing the movie title, he was slightly surprised, “Light Years of Love?”


    “Yes. The plot is set in the future which tells the story about a couple who was deeply in love. Due to work, they were separated at two ces a light year away. They could not meet each other and could only keep in touch via the Quantummunicator, confiding to each other, and putting on a romantic ssh in space...”


    Shi Xiaotao introduced to him the overall plot.


    “Love separated by a light year... the farthest distant rtionship in history?” Chen Jin responded immediately.


    “Ahem ahem~”


    Shi Xiaotao coughed awkwardly, “Many people in my film crew said the same thing, but I can guarantee you that this is an awesome and heart melting story. You will know when you look at it.”


    “Let me have a look then.”


    Chen Jin nodded and double clicked on the y button.


    Two hourster.


    The credits rolled.


    Chen Jin blinked his slightly feverish eyes twice, sighed and said, “Xiaotao, I must admit, I’ve underestimated you. Your talents are no less than Japan’s Makoto Shinkai. In your movie, from the main casts acting, dialogues, scenes and everything, they all give people the ‘Kimi no Na wa’ vibe. The ending is also spectacr and heartwarming... a fine production indeed.”


    “However...”


    Chen Jin pointed out some of its weaknesses. For example, the soundtrack and theme song were not good enough to tap into the human soul. The soundtrack was directly extracted from the gxy rendering engine. It works very well with the scene, but it would make people feel that the movie was a cheap production... it was all due to herck in experience that she was unable to conceive the more specific details.


    But Chen Jin could help her solve all these problems.


    “Give me a week, I’ll give you the perfect ‘Light Years of Love’.”


    “Sure. Thank you Mr. Chen.”
