Chapter 670: Glasirith [Bonus]

    Chapter 670: sirith [Bonus]

    ?

    ''A sirith...''

It was a newly bred species sessfully formed by the Head Beast Tamer of this Facility. Or, more urately, they were known as a sswright Breeder, a Silver Grade Profession.

The sirith was a new breed carefully curated by the sswright breeder and it had Bronze potential on the same level as the Bone-Tailed Lizard. The difference was that Ss still needed to help the Bone-Tailed Lizard return to its origins as a Bone-Tailed Serpent. Byparison, the sirith was already at its peak potential.

All of this information came to Ss freely. It seemed that his Insight abilities didn''t just have to rely on existing species that had long historical records, but it could easily analyze any Serpentes in front of him, even those that didn''t necessarily have strong ancestral lineages.

Ss'' Will reached out and as expected...

The feeling of danger was no longer there.

The appearance of his Will caused what looked to be a statue to shudder.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

    **CRACK.**

The outeryer of the statue shattered, but Ss continued to watch calmly.

Out from within it, a silvery-blue egg appeared.

Ss reached out with his telekinesis and brought it over. It was heavier than he expected despite the fact it was only about twice the size of his head. Still, the egg was easily over 300 pounds.

The ability of Ss'' telekinesis to work on it properly was limited, so it could only very slowly hover over. But the fact that Ss could pick up something so heavy with his telekinesis at all went to show just how far he hade.

Soon, the egg had reached Ss and he carefully took it.

The weight that was heavy to his mind was nothing in his arms. He carried the egg with ease, observing it until he was satisfied that it was unharmed.

He still didn''t know what this ce was, but the fact he had gained his first Bronze Contract without doing much of anything already left him satisfied.

Ss forced a contract onto the egg-not that it showed much resistance at all. Then he pulled it into the Hibernation Realm.

''Oh, it will take quite a while to hatch...''

If other Beast Tamers could hear Ss, it wouldn''t be much of a surprise if they tried to strangle him.

This "while" he spoke of was just a single week.

Ss'' One Kind For Me was now at Level 14, which gave his Hibernation Realm the ability to increase recovery by 819,200%.

This was all to say that one week for Ss was the equivalent of over 150 years for practically any other Beast Tamer!

Of course, all Beast Tamers had abilities to speed up the natural process of incubation. But even then they would be lucky to cut that time by half, let alone as much as Ss could.

Ss, though, never really considered others when he made assessments of himself. Otherwise, he wouldn''t be so hard on himself.

    ...

Eventually, Ss had visited every single one of the hubs of the city, all several dozen. Or, rather, all 27 of them.

Each one was a different Facility, but each one seemed frozen in time somehow, as though someone had pressed a pause button on everything.

However, each and every time, one''s Will could be the trigger to get that time flowing again.

By the end of it, Ss had not only found the location he was fairly certain was the most responsible for the ss Monkey''s improvement, but he had also somewhat figured out where he was even without the Madness Key.

''If I''m correct, this ce is only one of two things. It''s either a special Quest City or it''s an abandoned city from a previous Summoning. Thetter is far less likely. If it was possible to preserve powerful cities like this under normal circumstances, the Grimdes wouldn''t have only a Bronze City Stele left, they would have an entire Bronze City...

''Still, it''s a possibility because this city itself is quite special. This freeze on time seems rted to the ss Element in specific. So it''s possible that this is a unique City Stele Ability, which is why I can''t dismiss the possibility.''

Of course, Ss was referring to a literal freeze in time. Instead, it was more like this city was specially preserved.

Even so, he felt that the first possibility was far higher.

''I''m not sure if a "Quest City" exists at all, but this city still feels like a ce that''s waiting to be imed instead of one that was once lived in...''

For one-the most obvious reason-there was no sign of life here.

Second, when Ss'' Insight Path Talent told him about the sirith, it mentioned a Beast Tamer, but this sswright Breeder wasn''t mentioned by name, nor were there any details about them, which was unusual.

Ss had scanned several Serpentes by now, and if there was a Breeder in their past that yed a huge role in the advancement of the species, they were always mentioned.

So how could the breeder that self-created this Race of Serpentes not receive such treatment? It was like they werepletely erased from history. Or...

They never existed in the first ce.

Instead, the sswright Breeder was a Profession that could be imed here after the City Stele itself was imed.

And therein lied the final reason Ss was sure this city had never been owned before.

Usually, when you conquered a City Stele, you had to touch it, open its options menu, and then click Conquer. But for this one... Ss felt danger the moment his hand reached out.

Of course, it was possible that the dangers being triggered were rted to whoever had left this city behind for them to return to eventually...

But Ss was inclined to believe that the reason there was such a feeling of danger was because the moment he interacted with the City Stele...

He would trigger a battle for it. Much like the Bronze City Stele Quest Ticket in his possession.
