Chapter 489: Too Late [Bonus]
?
Ss casually walked out of the portal, still shirtless and without the slightest hint of shoes. A smooth, soft seal-skin skirt covered his lower half, and he found it to be quitefortable and freeing in battle. He understood why this was the Clypsians'' dress of choice.
Standing in the howling cold winds, he didn''t seem to feel the chill in the slightest.
Instead, his gaze locked onto General Song in the distance.
The General didn''t seem to have Morgan under lock and key. In fact, Morgan wasn''t even standing all that close to him. The only change was that his security detail were now six instead of just one, and he stood nearer to the back of the army.
Byparison, the Basilisk King was in a cage not far from General Song, surrounded by an even fiercer security detail.
Ss took a breath and for a moment, the air around him seemed to solidify.

His gaze slowly shifted and itnded on the powerhouses around General Song. Many might be shocked to find that Da was among them, having swapped her clipboard for a sword so thin it disappeared in certain lights.
By her, there were two others of concern... a man who had the antlers of a beast extending from the top of his head, and another man who held a bow lightly in his hand, an arrow nocked and pointed to the ground in his grasp.
Ryan Throne was the archer... Paul Hasan was the man with antlers. Together, they seemed to be quite the fierce lineup. And then...
[General Song (???)]
[Level: ???]
It seemed that General Song had quite some protections on him. But whether Ss was right about him relying on a treasure, or if he was truly so powerful...
It didn''t matter.
This time, Ss was prepared.
Be Strong.
''That sneak attacker is not here.''
Ss concluded this without the slightest hesitation. Although his visualization couldn''t see through Grin''s invisibility, he was confident in this conclusion nheless.
He took a step forward, his aura ring.
"All you two need to do is protect this line," Ss said calmly, speaking to the two Generals.
Before they could react, Ss was like a streak through the air.
The edge of the Great Celestial Wall shuddered and all at once, a green glow covered Ss'' body and he cleared over 20 meters in a single bound before he even began descending to the ground.
<Chilled Rise> activated and he stepped on the air.
All of a sudden, Ss, who looked like he had run out of momentum, lurched forward by another degree, crossing another 20 meters in what felt like the blink of an eye.
He soared over 10 meters in the air.
General Song''s pupils constricted. Last time he saw Ss, he did not have this ability.
"Archers!"
Ss might be flying through the air, but he clearly didn''t have the ability to move as freely on the ground as he did in the air. Plus, he made it convenient for them...
After all, so long as he was in the air, their other men would be safe from their attacks.
Ryan slowly raised his bow, but Ss'' expression didn''t change in the slightest as though he had already expected all of this.
At that moment, a dozen ballista bolts appeared around him, whizzing through the air even faster than he was.
The instant the arrows were released, Ss likewise loosed the final rain of ballista bolts he
had.
Each one moved with absolute perfection through the air, colliding tip to tip with the oing arrows. Although they were weak treasures and thus obliterated in a single instant, Ss seemed to have already expected this.
His telekinesis red out and the now weakened volley of arrows were deflected through the air one by one, falling in a lethal rain toward the soldiers below.
By this point, Ss had crossed yet another 20 meters, putting him not even 50 away from General Song and his position.n/?/vel/b//in dot c//om
SHUUUUU!
A harsh whistling filled the air as Ryan finally unleashed his own arrow. It was so fast that it appeared before Ss in an instant. There simply was no dodging, and his telekinesis wasn''t strong enough to deflect such an arrow. And yet...
A path of ice appeared beneath Ss'' feet.
In the middle of the air, he did the one thing General Song thought he couldn''t...
He changed direction.
<Chilled Rise> was dismissed the moment <Surfing Frost> appeared. However, Ss'' Speed
only elerated.
His body control was immacte as he rode the curved road of ice.
Ryan''s arrow whizzed by his ear, but it was as though he hadn''t noticed it in the slightest, his
mind focused on only one thing.
Kill.
General Song realized a bit toote that he had still underestimated Ss. But by then, he was just 20 meters away, his curved road of ice elerating him downward. His telekinesis, his movement skill, and gravity itself all worked in tandem, and soon it felt like his Speed was
approaching 2000 stat points.
It was already toote.
What they didn''t know was that the moment Ss was within 100 meters of him, they were
already in his grips.
However, now... their situation was only worse.
An arm of telekinesis manifested as an extension of Ss'' arm. Hisprehension of <Madness Control> had also enlightened him to many other things.
For example...
His telekinesis didn''t always need to be a separate part of him.
At that moment, a chain manifested and the erged green arm mped down on it.
Ryan''s pupils constricted, but the distance had already been cut to just five meters. He hurried to raise his bow to attack, and Paul by his side seemed to want to activate a defensive skill.
But that was when <Stunning Spike> pierced right between thetter''s brows and Ss swung
the chain down.
His Gluttony Seed red and the stone descended from above. His Speed, his telekinesis, and
his own arm''s power came together as one.
BOOM!
Ryan was smashed into a meat paste on the ground just as Ss made it to the end of his path
of ice.
BANG!
Ssnded heavily on the ground, a chain rattling from his arm formed of green aura.
In what felt like a blink of an eye, he had crossed through an entire army as though they weren''t even there.
