The prefabricated industrial area came in different parts and had to be connected , which was a service provided by the deliverer .
After a few drinks , Da’grass told them that the parts were connected and that the space freighters were preparing to leave .
Alex asked Da’grass if the converted colony builder could deliver any surplus resources from mars to the prefabricated industrial area in orbit .
The answer was yes , but it could only hold about half as it was converted for human transport .
This wasn’t a problem for Alex since the distance that had to be crossed wasn’t as big and multiple trips were possible , so he gave the order to do so .
While they watched the space freighters leave , Cynthia told the rest that she still had work to do and kissed Sam goodbye .
After that everyone started to leave , and Helena and Alex walked home to the island .
Three days passed and Alex got a message from John stating that he wanted to talk to him and that he would meet him at the bar they visited last time .

“Hi Alex” said john , who looked several years younger.

“There are a few things I wanted to talk you about” answered John .
But first , the plans for the new Capital city have been completed , and we diverted the credits needed for the construction of the city .
“So once you pay your share , we’ll have a tier 4 city in humanity’s possession . Here is the bill !” and he sent a message to Alex .
“That’s a lot , John” said Alex .
“It’s the buildings , upgrades and knowledge needed to operate them .

The second reason for me wanted to talk to you is the terraforming of Mars .
We received a lot of positive responses from the population after Nasa showed the world pictures of the two space ships unloading everything .
But there was also a little bit of panic and anger from government officials all over the world .
They were claiming things like we sold out earth to the aliens and that those credits should have been used to buy technology to better earth , among other things .
We also had numerous requests from journalists all around the globe if they could visit the construction site and our location on Mars .

“Let them write up all the names of the victims or locate them and give them monetary compensations based on recent court decisions of similar cases” said Alex .
Send the names and compensations to me , and I’ll handle the delivery .
If they can’t pay , I’ll do so , but they have to pay me back .
I’ll also be cross referencing the compensations and adjust them if I deem it necessary , so be honest .

I feel pity for the victims , but seeing them in this state , they looked broken , Alex” answered John .
“I’ll be giving the victims to choose between credits , their local currency , or a mix of both” said Alex .

Alex gave Da’grass instructions on how to handle the compensation matter while walking home .
Da’grass assured him that he understood and would handle it with care , leaving no traces back .
The victims would receive fair compensation , and Alex returned home content and happy to see Helena .
