Chapter 26: Zhou Hao Is in Trouble

Paradise’s second floor had many lounges and KTV rooms. Yang Tian was not familiar with the area as he walked along the corridor to the KTV area.
When he passed by one of the doors, it suddenly burst open. A scantily dressed youngdy ran out with a red p mark on her cheek. A young man chased after her, grabbing a hold of her, and pulling her toward him as he shouted, “You stupid b*tch. If you don’t strip today, I’ll make you crawl out of this ce!”
“No! I’m only here to drink with you. I never agreed to do such things!” The youngdy struggled, sobbing as she screamed.
Yang Tian was already a ways ahead when this urred. He originally had no intention to interfere in the matter, but the girl’s voice was very familiar!
Li Yan!
Was this not the voice of his friend Zhou Hao’s girlfriend, Li Yan?
Yang Tian turned and saw ady in a ck miniskirt being dragged into the room before the door mmed shut.
Yang Tian rushed to the door of the room and heard theughter of men and the screams of the girl. He lifted his leg and kicked. The metal door of the room busted open with his powerful kick, and a deafening tter ensued.
The scene that unfolded before Yang Tian was horrible. There were a dozen or so naked men in the room, and some of them were on top of women.
Yang Tian scanned the room and saw Li Yan cowering in the corner, covering her body. Next to her stood a naked man.
“Li Yan!”
Yang Tian frowned and spoke calmly.
“Yang Tian!”
Li Yan finally recognized Yang Tian, and she shouted in surprise. She got up and ran to Yang Tian, cowering behind him.
“What’s going on? Why are you in a ce like this?” Yang Tian turned and asked Li Yan who was in heavy makeup.
“I... I...” Li Yan was unable to respond. 1
Seeing the hand marks on her cheeks and the slight swelling on her face, Yang Tian did not say anything. He calmly said, “Let’s go. We can talk about itter.”
As he finished speaking, he took Li Yan’s hand and turned to leave.
“Stop right there!” At that moment, the half-naked man shouted.
Yang Tian turned and looked at the man coldly before speaking, “What’s up? Are you looking for a fight?”
The manughed, “This woman owes us a lot of money. If she doesn’t return it, she can’t leave!”
Yang Tian did not question Li Yan, but coolly asked, “How much does she owe?”
“50,000 Wu!” the half-naked man said as he lifted a finger.
Yang Tian pulled out his wallet from his pocket, and counted out five 10,000 Wu notes and threw it on the floor, and coldly remarked, “There are five 10,000 notes. Take them.”
The half-naked man nced at one of hispanions. Thepanion did not mind his nakedness and picked up the five notes and inspected them before saying, “They’re real!”
The half-naked manughed. “Even though the money has been repaid, I, Liao Kai, have never failed to get a woman that I want. Since this woman is here, and if she does not put out, she can think again about leaving.”
Hearing the man say that, Yang Tian immediately frowned. He could see that the men in the lounge were not normal people, and at least three of them were Transhuman. Of the other four, three were ss One Warriors, and Liao Kai was a ss Two Warrior.
In ces like Paradise, most of the patrons were Warriors. Even if rich people visited this ce, they would be apanied by a Warrior.
“Looking to fight? Put on some clothes first!” Yang Tian did not hesitate and smiled as he spoke.
Yang Tian’s quip reminded the men in the room of their shame. They rapidly got dressed.
Very quickly, they were dressed once more and had walked toward Yang Tian.
“Hey... I didn’t think that there was really a fight! We came at the right time!”
At that moment, Zhao Wu’s voice could be heard from behind Yang Tian.
Turning around, Yang Tian could see that everyone from the table just now was there.
Xiao Fei walked forward and smiled at everybody inside as he spoke, “Get out of Paradise now, or else I’ll make you crawl out of this ce.”
“You’re... Xiao Fei!” One of the men recognized Xiao Fei and said in awe.
Xiao Fei smiled. “I didn’t think I was so famous that I would be recognized by someone.”
Xiao Fei’s words were an indirect admittal of his identity. The half-naked man who had hit Li Yan, Liao Kai, smiled as he spoke, “It’s Tianwei Military Academy’s Brother Xiao. We’re from Shenwei Military Academy. We have no quarrel with each other, so let’s just drop the matter! Let’s go!”
Liao Kai beckoned hisckeys with a wave of his hand as soon as he finished speaking.

Having faced such a situation, Yang Tian had no mood to stay any longer. If Li Yan was working in such a ce as this, that means Zhou Hao...must be in some trouble.
Yang Tian apologized to Xiao Fei and the others before bringing Li Yan with him and leaving Paradise. He hailed a cab at the door and headed to Zhou Hao’s house.
Zhou Hao’s family circumstances were slightly better than Yang Tian’s. The family of six lived in a house in the city center that was roughly 100 square meters in size. However, after getting into the car, Li Yan told Yang Tian that Zhou Hao’s family had moved. They had moved to somewhere at the western edge of the city.
Yang Tian did not say anything. Li Yan gave the driver the exact address, and the cab was quickly on its way. It took half an hour to reach the area.
In this era, every Safe Zone had regions where the rich congregated, and also slums where the destitute lived.
After getting out of the car, a squat, dpidated house appeared in front of Yang Tian. Dim light emitted from the windows of the home.
Li Yan led the way, and the two of them went through a narrow alleyway. From time to time, women in heavy makeup leaned against doorways and waved at Yang Tian. These women were all in looking, and some were even middle-aged. Yang Tian frowned but did not say anything. The bad feeling in his heart grew stronger and stronger.
Ten minutester, they finally arrived. Li Yan pushed open the gate to an old and tiny apartment block.
The two of them climbed the narrow and dark stairs to the third floor.
Li Yan stopped at the door to a room and knocked. A little boy opened the door and eximed in joy, “Sister Yan, you’re here! Come in!”
“Where’s your brother?” Li Yan asked.
“He’s in his room. He got mad just now.” the little boy replied.

Yang Tian recognized this little boy. He was Zhou Long, Zhou Hao’s younger brother. He was eight this year and was in elementary school.
It was only after Li Yan walked in that Zhou Long noticed Yang Tian. He looked at Yang Tian for a moment before suddenly shouting, “Brother Tian! How are you here?!”
Yang Tian smiled, and said, “I’m here to see your brother.”
Zhou Long nodded. “That’s great! With Brother Tian around, my brother won’t get mad anymore.”
As soon as Yang Tian entered the house, he could smell the overpowering smell of disinfectant. He immediately knew that somebody had been injured, and he frowned.
At this time, Zhou Hao’s parents and grandparents appeared. When they saw Yang Tian and Li Yan, they smiled in happiness.
Li Yan brought Yang Tian to a small room. Zhou Hao was lying on the bed, and the room stank of medicine. There was arge pile of antiseptics on the bedside table.
Zhou Hao was very pale, and he looked as though he had lost a lot of weightpared to when Yang Tian saw him two weeks ago.
When he saw Yang Tian walk in, Zhou Hao turned away, tears streaming down his face.
“Zhou Hao, what’s going on?” Yang Tian walked forward and asked while frowning.
Zhou Hao took a long time before he turned to face Yang Tian, wiping away his tears and forcing a bitter smile that was difficult to look at. “It’s that Sun Yu. He had someone provoke me and I couldn’t help but fight them. They broke my legs. Shenwei Military Academy said I broke the rules and expelled me. Yang Tian, in half a month ording to my training scores, I would’ve definitely been given a Grade One Beast Core and ascended to be a Transhuman. I really am not hardworking enough. In order to treat my shattered legs, we’ve had to sell the house and Little Yan has to go and work. I’m useless! Useless!” 1
