Chapter 1:New life... damn... part 1


    I woke up suddenly in middle of a snowfield ‘’W-ha-ho-... Where am I?!’’, I had thousand questions coursing trough my mind not really aware of my environment at the moment.When i finally collected my thoughts together i saw nothing but snow, few mountains in the horizon don’t count, that is too far!


    ‘’What am i doing here...?’’ that was a question I really wanted an answer on. I figured out it won’t be answered so quickly, but... what to do... it’s freezing outside but my body is warm and cozy like Im under a blanket.


    WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING WITH ME?! my head tilted towards the sky with hands ready to just completely disassemble someone, I looked at the sky like i wanted an answer to my question, something, even if just a small whimper, nothing... not even wind wanted to interact with its usual blows. But finally, i got a small sound, big piece of the snow under me moved. Then i proceed to fall god knows where.


    WHOOOAAAAAA!!


    I was sliding down trough some ice made slide, my hands and legs moving on their own in middle of panic.


    I finally make it to the end, but get thrown into an ice block from that speed.’’Ow...’’ i groan in a bit of pain that was aftershock of my bump. I looked around, and i couldn’t see a more beautiful sight, whole damn city under an iceberg. I got amazed by a mere concept of something like that being here, i always thought this was presented just in fantasy books and that kind of stuff.


    I saw an huge entrance so i went straight towards it, two of the guards were standing there completely still until i came. They immediately bring their spears... Wait... spears? Weren’t they used in like 18^th century? Never mind... I guess its a free civilization that disconnected from rest of the world so it would be understandable that way.Guards spoke in a weird language i couldn’t understand, nor could i figure out what language would it be close to.


    ‘’Sorry... but... i don’t really think i can understand you...’’ , i was not really sure what other thing to say.


    ‘’ARE YOU A DAMN SPY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE, WHAT IS THIS LANGUAGE YOU SPEAK, ARE YOU HERE TO KILL THE QUEEN? one of the guards started yelling at me in their language, but i didn''t know what it meant... The only word i could make out was ‘queen’. It sounded similar to my language, so i manage to make it out somehow.


    Not giving them any response guards thought i really was some sort of spy so they threatened me with spears, i immediately raised my hands in surrender, they took me by the shoulders and started to drag me somewhere.


    ‘’W-well... Where are we going?’’ I chuckled awkwardly, not really sure what to expect from literal cavemen.


    SHUT UP YOU DAMN IDIOT!!, both guards yelled at me at the same time, although i didn''t understand them, i took their yell as a sign to zip my mouth shut not wanting to cause unnecessary trouble for myself.


    City was full of people at the time, WHY NOW OF ALL TIMES... I was humiliated by the fact i was getting dragged down the street by guards with so many people looking.My face felt warmer by the moment, embarrassment clear, i couldn''t make myself look forward, instead... i looked down like a child that got caught stealing candy from the drawer.There were different kinds of looks among these people, intrigue, disgust, fear, hatred... etc.Like... hell did i do to you to deserve that kind of look... I felt a bit angry when i saw all of it, one side of me wanted to just disappear out of embarrassment and the other just wanted to smack some sense in those people.


    We approached what seemed to be main entrance of the castle after some time and all that humiliation. Two of the other guards opened the door for us. As we got closer to queen’s ‘territory’ i couldn’t feel more scared on what she will do to me after we arrive.


    To my surprise, or my unluck, she was armed to the tooth looking like some legendary warrior in that throne of hers. I go thrown in front of her on my knees by the guards, looking down unable to look at her from shame and fear


    ‘’Raise that pathetic head of yours...’’ she growled coldly but... i understood her, she knew my language, why though... Who was she and where did she come from?     Her expression changed drastically, she wasn''t looking at me with that cold look of disgust anymore, she was shocked now, completely flabbergasted.


    ''''M-me... M-meyumi? I-is that really you?...'''', she couldn''t form a normal sentence from all that shock she was in, how did she know my name, i was now more shocked one. I nod cause i had no other thing to do, as soon as i did she jumped at me and embraced me with her arms


    She hugged me tightly while starting to cry, ‘’Big brother... Its really you...’’, my heart started bumping in my chest like crazy, was this really my little sister or someone is joking with me right now.


    ‘’Y-yumi?, i didn''t know what else to say other than name of my sister to see if its really her.


    ‘’Yes its me, Yumi...’’, happiness was bursting out of her in waves, her tears of happiness sliding down her face looking like they ain’t stopping anytime soon.


    Half of the guards were confused on what was currently taking place, other half was happy cause they understood us and liked to see our reunion.


    A day passed since our reunion, we were sitting in castle’s dining room eating breakfast, sat beside her.


    ‘’So how are you so big and strong all of a sudden...’’ i asked, curiosity at its peak


    ‘’You didn''t know after all...’’ she sighed like she was disappointed in me for not knowing something obvious i guess


    ‘’Dont know what?’’ i couldnt understand what she meant.


    ‘’To put it simply... we are currently in ice age...’’ she said it like it was obvious fact for me


    My world twisted, i couldn''t be more shocked by the fact we are in ice age.


    ‘’You mean... like... second... ice age?, please tell me im right, please tell me im right. PLEASE TELL ME I AM GODDAMN RIGHT!!


    ‘’Actually... we are in that ice age... 14 thousand years away from our era...’’, oh god was  wrong... i-I’m now part of that... that same ice age... we read about in... Geography class...


    ‘’You-... You are joking right-... Right Yumi? We didn''t-... we didn''t go back in history...’’ i was barely speaking, my brain trying, yeah trying to process that information. World was spinning in front of my eyes, more i tried to focus more i failed.


    ‘’No...’’, that one, yet simple word that came from her mouth shattered everything i wanted to be true.


    I started laughing like i ran out of mental asylum, deeply scratching my face and wounding myself damn good...


    ‘’I cant believe it... MY WHOLE LIFE IS GOING TO WASTE... better to just commit suicide right now...’’ my expression changed drastically from insane to cold and lifeless, my whole face was in a crimson dress, bloody mess to put it simply.


    Yumi didn''t know what to do first from all this concern and panic, to reason with me or call the medic, she was at verge of tears


    M-meyumi... s-stay here...’’ she said desperate for me to stay seating since i stood up, worried that i would really do as i said since she knew i did that before when we were still at home.


    I sat down, my face completely emotionless, my right eye was still covered with my hand.I looked up at the ceiling then started...


    ‘’How did you end up here anyways...?’’ that question was lingering through my mind from since i first saw her yesterday.


    ‘’I-... Let me-... i stop her with raising my hand towards her.


    ‘’Im okay... now answer my question...’’, she retracted her hands and sat back down trying to calm herself down.


    ‘’Where to start is the problem...’’ she was slowly calming down.


    ‘’Ah, the wish-dragon.’’ she started, wish-dragon, what wish-dragon. I never heard about that.


    ‘’The... what?’’, what even is that so called wish-dragon anyways...


    ‘’The wish-dragon, a powerful magical beast that was found sleeping in depths of these caves, it can grant you up to three wishes every year... that''s how we get all our resources down from seeds up to stone and iron.’’, she looked proud of herself when speaking about that damned dragon, that still didn''t answer my question but i let her continue.


    ‘’And it can make any wish come true...’’, her voice now took a more dark turn


    ‘’Any?’’, if what she was speaking was true then i need to see it for myself.


    ‘’Anything your heart desires... i became a queen that way... but i was still a kid when i wished that... i wasn''t really aware of anything yet... i got in this age the same way you probably did, by death...’’, death... i died... that was a trigger to my memory now... yeah i did die, didn''t i... by such an painful death... but i didn''t die by accident... i believe all of that was planned... just to make it look like it was an accident...


    ‘’You know Yumi... if i ever get back to our era... I''ll make sure to make those two bastards feel more pain we ever felt... i will drain every drop of blood from that pathetic bodies until nothing is left...’’ i was so happy when talking, Yumi didn''t know to feel either disgusted or grateful i will avenge us.


    I WILL MAKE THOSE TWO PAY WITH TRIPLE THE PRICE!!, i jumped from my chair, spreading my arms wide, looking at the ceiling.


    Yumi was silent for a few moments after my outburst then she spoke.


    ‘’Okay... that was intense... but... do you want to know how i died?


    I closed the distance between us in an instant, our faces almost touching, my eyes were wide, eager to hear about her death...
