    "And you clearly know who I am," I say, not moving a muscle, and not showing I am worried.


    "You say that youe in peace. But why would you surround us then." I continue.


    "I wanted to be sure you would listen and not attack," dimir says without blinking.


    "Alright, I will listen to speak," I say.


    "You are not only the king of the werewolves, but you are the king of the supernatural world. Werewolves, vampires, elves, witches. Everyone." dimir

    "I know this. But I am not stupid. I know other races won''t care. They never have. I read the stories. I know how a Vampire killed thest king of kings. After he saved them." I say as I look at him.


    "I know our history, and I also know the vampire who killed him was executed. And


    I know this because I was the one who did it. After he was dead, I took the


    throne." He tells me, not breaking eye contact with me.


    "What is it you want from me?" I ask.


    "An alliance, and to prove my words will give you the info I have." He says.


    "What info?" I ask


    "Numbers, ns that work with this werewolf. And something else, something no one has seen before." The vampire tells me.


    I am just about to say something when I hear Dad''s Lycan growl angrily, shit.


    ''Dad, don''t attack. I will exin just... trust me.'' I tell him in the mindlink.


    ''Are you sure?" He asks.


    ''Yes.'' I say, and I can feel him calm down, so I turn to dimir.


    "You can pick five to go with you and us. But I can''t bring more, and our people will feel treated."


    "I only need two, I chose to trust you." He says, turning around to look at his people. He said some words I did not understand, and the vampires began to disappear. Only the two he had chosen were still here with him.


    Now wherever we''re gone I can see Dad and the group of wolves he had brought with him.


    Dad nods his head to me, and I know he thinks I do the right thing, and we get ready to travel thest bit home.

    We drove up in front of the family houses, and dimir and his twopanions were in the car behind us. Dad told me to lead him here and to use my grandfather''s old house to talk to him.


    I get out of our car along with Enzo and see Dad and Kyle are waiting. The


    vampires get out of their car, too, and dimir looks at me, waiting for instructions.


    "There is a house here where no one is living. We can talk there." I tell him, and he bows his head.


    "Sounds perfect," dimir says.


    I take my time to study their


    behavior, and rx a little when I see they do not have the time to study their surroundings. It gives me hope that he''s telling me the truth. We walk towards the house, and hees up, walking next to me.


    "I am here in peace. That''s my promise. And I never fought against the wolves. Intact I was a wolf''s mate, and she was the most beautiful creature I had ever seen. I loved her and epted her. I tried to

    "Yes, I was. She was killed." He answers slowly. And I don''t know what to say.


    "My n leader hated wolves, and so did many in that n. But he still let her stay with me because I was important to him. He kept sending me on missions, and that meant had to leave her all the time. I didn''t know how she was treated when I went there. She never told me. Until she did, and I was furious, killed the vampire who tried to rape her. And I had to watch my leader killing her after he had hurt me too much for me to save her.” He tells me sadly.


    "I left healed, made ns and then I killed them, one by one. Until they were all gone." He finishes.


    I was just about to say something when I heard her call my name. I turn around, and the next thing I feel is Madeleine running into my arms hugging me tight. I lock my arms around her, holding her close.


    For a moment, I forget everything else but take in her scent and the feeling of her in my arms.


    "I need to go inside," I tell her and she nods her head.


    "I want to be there." She says, and I look at her.


    "Okay, but you don''t leave my side," I tell her, and she nods her head.


    Together with her hand in mine we walk into the house and find everyone sitting by the table. dimir stands up and stands in front of us and bows deeply.


    "My queen, it''s a big honor to meet you. My name is dimir, the vampire king here in America." He says respectfully. And my respect for him just grew.
