Chapter 139: Base Zero!

After Fu Yan left the area, the remaining soldiers cleared the area one by one and left the scene.
But the speed they left was even faster than they arrived. It was evident that they wanted to get away from Fu Yan as fast as they could.
Themander silently followed Fu Yan and did not dare to utter any kind of sound. He was afraid of anyone disrupting the Librarian and thest scene repeating itself but this time, the whole would get caught up in it.
Not knowing what was going inside themander''s mind, Fu Yan walked with themander following him.
After walking for a while, They reached the castle-like building.
When Fu Yan got near, He noticed that even though this building looked like a castle, it was nothing but a military fort with weapons mounted on each and every corner of it.
When he reached its gate, suddenly lights lit up and all of them focused on Fu Yan and themander in red armor.
Just when they were about to open fire on the intruders, themander in red armor hastily walked forward and brought out a piece of ss from his pocket.
He lifted the ss towards the gates and then a blueser lightnded on the ss. After 2 seconds, theser light turned red and the shlights turned off.
Finishing whatever he was doing, themander turned towards Fu Yan and gave a respectful bow.
"Sir! Sorry for their rude behavior. I will punish themter on and rest assured, the punishment won''t be light."
Fu Yan listened to the exnation without giving any kind of reply. He turned his attention towards the gate and then with a loud mechanical noise, the door lifted up.
Fu Yan calmly walked in without any kind of fear and themander soon followed.
After they walked in, Fu Yan looked around and saw soldiers, weird looking vehicles, and armors, ready for any kind of situation.
They all seemed professional and well trained. Seeing this, Fu Yan knew why the others in this gxy liked to trade with people on [Ligrion] and even asked for their mercenary service from time to time.
Just from how they responded when hended on this and the vignce they showed even after one of theirmanders led him in, Fu Yan liked them.
Of course, no matter how good they were, they would never dare to mess with the Library and they also knew it.
Aftering in, When Fu Yan was wondering where to go next, themander behind him slowly walked towards him and asked in a respectful voice.
"Sir, If you don''t mind, I would like to take you to see themander of this base. The book that we borrowed from the Library is not in this base but at base zero, I mean at the main base."
Fu Yan gave a nod hearing this and then gave ast look to the soldiers who looked like if he made any kind of sudden moments, they would jump on him like hungry wolves.
After walking for a while, under the guidance of themander in red armor, Fu Yan reached the innermost part of the castle, and then he was greeted with a warm wee by themander of the base.
The basemander was not wearing any kind of armor. When Fu Yan saw this, he felt as if the basemander was a character out of a horror movie.
Even though themander gave a warm wee, Fu Yan still had a cold face. He did not give any kind of reply to themander''s greetings and said with a straight face.
"When are you bringing the book to me? You should know that the more you dy, the greater thete fees will be so don''t waste my time and get me to the book immediately."
When the basemander heard this, his excited face immediately disappeared and he replied with an apologetic tone.
"Sir, We are sorry for your precious time. I will immediately prepare the ships to go to base zero. Please give me a little more time. In the meantime, I will let my subordinates entertain you. I will make sure that it doesn''t take more than 2 flos ( 20 Earth minutes)."
After hearing this, Fu Yan thought for a second and then gave a slight nod.
"Ok, I will look around in the meantime. But make sure to do it as fast as you can. Theter it is, the more you will lose."
Hearing this, themander cheered up a little and then walked out after giving a bow.
After themander went out, the remaining people looked at Fu Yan with nervousness, not knowing what to do.
Fu Yan gave them a quick look and then strolled around to kill some time. While he was wandering around, Fu Yan saw an interesting room.
As he walked towards the room, two guards with rifles came forward to stop him but when they saw the manymanders behind him, they stopped in their tracks and obediently opened the doors for him.
Fu Yan did not say anything about this and just walked in. After he walked in, he saw a room of stars and holograms.
There were many things that he had never seen before. Like the star maps and how people navigate and use them to travel around.
Just when he was wondering how to understand them, one of themanders walked up and slowly exined.
"Sir, we use special encryption in our star maps and only themanders are taught how to understand these maps. If you don''t mind, may I exin them to you?" Themander asked politely, while fear could also be seen inside his eyes as if wondering if he did the right thing or not.
Fu Yan looked at themander who said this and when he did this, his cold eyes gave the person in question shivers. Themander was about to fall onto the floor with fear when Fu Yan opened his mouth and replied.
"Since you offered to save my time, then go ahead. But remember, if It''s boring then..." Fu Yan stopped talking suddenly and gave themander a cold look.
When he heard this, themander felt lifeing back to his body and then he excitedly started to exin the star map. It seems that he had confidence in their technology and resources.
Fu Yan calmly listened to all this and even though he was surprised inside his heart, he did not show any of it on his face.
It was calm and cold like before and at this moment Fu Yan looked as if he was listening to a student giving a presentation about the subject he taught.
After 1 flow (10 minutes), themander finished exining everything about the star map and then looked towards Fu
Yan to see his reaction but he was met with the same golden eyes.
Fu Yan did not reply to themander and calmly walked towards one section of the room. There were many devices there that had the same images as the big hologram in the middle of the room butpared to it, these devices were smaller and seemed more advanced.
Seeing Fu Yan interested in these devices, the samemander walked up to him and exined with a soft voice.
"Sir, these devices are used for discovering new gxies ands with resources. We use them to perform scans on the new gxies ands we discover and when we find life, we mark them on the star map. As a matter of fact, this base is mainly responsible for these things."
Fu Yan again calmly listened and never gave any kind of reply. It was just that when he saw the star map on one of these devices, he discovered something that piqued his interest.
So he walked up to it and then stood in front of it. He stared nkly into the air for a while, then started to operate the device.
After doing some operations, Fu Yan turned the device to its previous state and then looked back.
He noticed that the basemander was already here and seemed to be waiting for him.
Fu Yan gave the machine ast look and then walked out of the room. He decided that he will talk about this with themander in chief of this.
